Volume 2 Finale Part 2:
The City of Argus was in the first stage of destruction as the Daleks finally took over the city after destroying the Cybermen in battle. A good portion were destroyed especially with the Cyber Beast, but the Daleks were supreme. Fortunately for the people of Argus, with the Doctor facing the Daleks and the Cybermen interfering, they were able to go in underground bunkers until they were able to escape, or the Daleks would be destroyed. An hour has passed since they last heard from the Doctor and Team RWBY as military from across Remnant came to fight off the Daleks...only for them to fall as well.
Jaune: Any signal or anything?
Oscar: Nothing. Whatever those things did to cut all communication, they succeeded.
Ren: We have to remain hidden in the meantime. We can't fight those or even try to escape.
Qrow: I agree. The problem is...they'll find us eventually. Those are alien creatures out there and if there was one thing alien movies have taught us, they are smart.
Nora: I hope they're okay...
Jaune: Don't lose faith. Even when the odds are against us, I'm sure the Doctor can handle it. And he's not alone. It may take a while, but I believe they'll get it done.
If only that were the case but it wasn't. Over an hour ago, The Doctor and Team RWBY came face to face with the Daleks and met the Supreme Dalek. They were confronted by the Task Force of Skaro and took in Dalek Khan when the Cybermen attack happened that caused a battlefield turned genocide in the end. It got worse as Dalek Khan has returned to his original state and killed Ruby, Blake, and Yang then destroying the TARDIS leaving the Doctor and Weiss defeated and on their own.
Inside the Daleks lab, the Doctor was strapped to a chair with wires around him and a technological helmet on top of him as well. The Daleks were planning on using him to receive all knowledge of this new universe to conquer. Across from him on a silver table with cuffs around her hands and legs was Weiss who was just regaining consciousness after being blasted by Dalek Ryuk. The Daleks were going to experiment on her for her regeneration ability and time vortex in her.
Weiss: *groans* Doctor...
The Doctor: Weiss! Take it easy! That Dalek blast was a heavy hit.
Weiss: No...kidding...where are we?
The Doctor: Inside a Dalek's lab. They're going to try to experiment on you for your powers while they try to get every information from me.
Weiss: This...wasn't according to the plan...was it?
The Doctor: *sighs and looks down* No, it wasn't. The Supreme Dalek and Task Force made it much more difficult now. With no way out of these cuffs either and I don't have my Sonic Screwdriver.
Weiss: What do we do now?
The Doctor: When they get here, I'm going to try and stall them so they don't touch you at all. As for the bigger situation...I'll leave it to them.
Weiss: Do you still think it's possible? With all these Daleks in every corner!
The Doctor: Nothing is easy. Even simple tasks can be hard, but I know them, and they don't quit without a fight or when someone needs rescue. That's what makes you guys so special.
Weiss: How long ago were the Daleks here?
The Doctor: They left right before you woke up. I don't know how much time we'll have until they get back but let's hope the calvary gets to us first or before they do anything to you.
Weiss: *smiles softly* You're too worried about me as I'm worried about you.
The Doctor: They'll only try to take any knowledge about Remnant and this universe to plan their conquest. After that, they'll most likely exterminate me.
Weiss: That's why I'm worried. *sighs* I feel like the universe is just unfair to us.
The Doctor: I wouldn't count on that. The universe is big, beautiful, and full of life...once we stop the Daleks. Besides, if it was unfair, we wouldn't have met.
Weiss: You are right about that. I guess we just wait and hope they can get to us sooner before any of those task force daleks do.
Across the ship, Dalek Khan was on his way to get an automatic repair for his armor but needed to head to one of the weaponry rooms to choose his weapons for the destruction of Remnant. He entered one of them and looked around before sealing it lock in the time being. He strolled and looked around for something but couldn't see it. After going further down the room, it was time to continue the plan.
Dalek Khan: Coast is clear!
One by one, hiding in different spots, Ruby, Blake, and Yang all crawled out of their hiding spots. They were alive and okay as they stretched out while Blake checks on the TARDIS to make sure she's doing okay as well and no damage.
Ruby: So the plan was exactly how you said it. The problem is now they've taken the Doctor and Weiss.
Dalek Khan: It was supposed to be all of you transported here when I blasted you but them taking our friends put a stop to our plan from moving further. We'll have to do both to succeed and stop this invasion.
Blake: I'm just surprised that they actually fell for you returning back with them. But you predicted that part very accurately.
Dalek Khan: I hope the teleportation beam did not hurt.
Yang: It stung a little but nothing too serious.
*FLASHBACK*
The Doctor: Fire away Khan.
Dalek Khan: This ship belongs to one of the high Dalek commands alongside the Supreme Dalek. It's a group of the most intelligent, advanced, prepared Daleks in Skaro similar to the Cult of Skaro. They are called the Task Force of Skaro.
Yang: Just hearing these cult names already makes me sick to the stomach.
Dalek Khan: If my theories are correct, they will try to convince the Supreme Dalek to reset me instead of exterminating me. They will pull me away while they keep you there for interrogation, Doctor try to get an idea of what could be used to distract them. There are multiple Dalek weaponry rooms but only one has explosive bombs that could destroy the entire ship or Argus in seconds.
The Doctor: The same bombs that were used to destroy most cities in Gallifrey before sending the Daleks to finish the extermination...
Dalek Khan: Once they think I am reset back to my original command, I will use my blaster to blast each of you and the TARDIS. The twist is that I have changed the switch from blaster to transportation ray. Ruby, I will need you to step out first to confront me and I will transport you to the weaponry room. Try to act like its life and death at the moment.
Ruby: I'll...try my best. But why me first?
Dalek Khan: Because you are my best friend. I will not let anyone or any Dalek try to hurt you or kill you. You are the person I will try to protect first. No offense to the rest.
Blake: None taken. So I guess we're after right?
Dalek Khan: Yes, and the Doctor will be the last to try to convince the Daleks I have killed him and destroy the TARDIS, eliminating all signs of hope. Once that is done, I will meet with you in the weaponry room.
The Doctor: And where exactly do we go from there besides grabbing the bombs?
Dalek Khan: There are different engines room that help this ship besides the Daleks piloting and there is the air assault base where the Dalek ships are deployed. We will plant bombs across there and set a timer.
The Doctor: Easier said than done. We'll need to have all the Daleks return to base when the bombs go off.
Dalek Khan: Which is why we'll put the timer set to 5 minutes. We can get all the Daleks aboard and escape just as the ship is blowing up.
Weiss: It might actually work but we can't have any setbacks.
Yang: Just one concern, how are we sure that the Daleks won't actually reset you?
Dalek Khan: I had a feeling one of you would ask that. Allow me.
Dalek Khan moved a bit back as gears were heard moving around and the Dalek's casing was opening up to no longer reveal the squid like alien but a mist like ectoplasmic figure which surprised everyone including the Doctor. Only Weiss had a different reaction knowing she did this change to Dalek Khan.
Ruby: W-Where's your physical form?!
Dalek Khan: The day the Angels took over Vale, I sacrificed myself to destroy all Weeping Angels in my surrounding area and to save you all. However, when I was brought back to life, I was brought back differently...as an immortal entity.
Weiss: Because of me...when I absorbed all of the time vortex the first thing, I had in mind was bringing everyone back and creating life once again. When I thought about creating life, I thought of Khan and restructured him so that he would no longer have to feel pain...or death. Unlike me where I can die if I give away my regeneration, Khan will be here forever...until the end of time perhaps.
Dalek Khan: And that is my next goal. I have earned my second chance, truly felt alive, and met wonderful friends. Now it's time to make sure the universe is okay even when the Doctor isn't around. But because of my new form, this is the very reason they won't be able to reset me at all.
Blake: I guess we can put that concern away. Are we all set then for Khan's plan?
The Doctor: Let's just hope it does go according to plan Khan or else we could see the end of Remnant...
*END FLASHBACK*
Yang: With the Doctor and Weiss captured, what do we do now? Can't we use the TARDIS to just go after them?
Dalek Khan: The TARDIS will instantly be detected. I am trying to calculate a new plan that could have us do both at the same time. What is that thing you say?
Ruby: Killing 2 birds with one stone?
Dalek Khan: Yes, that one. I am transmitting the coordinates to each engine room and Dalek Ship room to your Sonic devices. You three will handle placing the bombs on the ship while I will try to go and rescue the Doctor and Weiss. Once you are done and I have them rescued, you will bring the TARDIS to escape as the ship is destroyed.
Ruby: Alone? Khan, what if they suspect something from you?
Dalek Khan: They won't! If they see any of you with me or clear sight, they will try to kill you instantly and I don't want that! Am I clear?
Team RBY looked at each other but nodded in agreement to their Dalek friend. They each began to grab bombs and place them in one bag as Khan instructed them on how to activate it and set the timer. Once their Sonic devices got the coordinates, Dalek Khan opened a ventilation spot for them to sneak through.
Dalek Khan: Sneak through here. You will each find different paths that lead to the engines' rooms and be careful.
Ruby: *nods and hugs Dalek Khan* You too. Bring them back safely, please.
After parting, the three girls enter the ventilation and move on to placing the bombs while Dalek Khan exits out of the weaponry room and heads towards the lab room. His only hope would be that this works, and everyone lives. Down in the city of Argus which is now under Dalek takeover, the Daleks search for any human hostages but the city remains empty after everyone left.
Dalek: KEEP SEARCHING!
Daleks: WE OBEY!
Supreme Dalek: SOON THIS PLANET WILL BE OURS FOR THE TAKING! IT IS TIME REMNANT KNOWS OF OUR MESSAGE TO THEM!
As the Daleks continue their search, two Daleks detect something near the forest and approach it. Below is one of the bunkers where Team JNR and the others are hiding with townspeople. They remained hidden and quiet as the Daleks were getting closer. A low growl could be heard from the other side as the Daleks got closer and when they did, they could not see the Cyber Beast on time resulting in the Daleks being ripped apart.
Dalek Controller #1: ALERT! ALERT! THE CYBER ABOMINATION IS ON THE LOOSE AND DESTROYING OUR SOLIDERS!
Supreme Dalek: WE WILL NOT LET AN ABOMINATION GET IN THE WAY! DALEKS, FIND THE BEAST AND EXTERMINATE IT!
Daleks: WE OBEY!
The Cyber Beast noticed more Daleks approaching as it began to glow from its cyber parts before letting out an electric shockwave that deactivates the Daleks shield. It made a full charge ripping apart other Daleks as once again the Daleks plan for conquest was held to stop.
Back in the Daleks ship, the Doctor and Weiss stood there waiting to see if any time now the Task Force Daleks would appear or Dalek Khan to rescue them and continue with their plan.
Weiss: No matter what we do, there's always trouble in and out of Remnant constantly.
The Doctor: Back then I would blame myself, now I just think life is being unfair to us.
Weiss: Why did you leave us in the first place Doctor? Before coming back to visit us after 300 years? It... pains me to know you were alone out there with no one by your side.
The Doctor: I never did tell you the whole thing, did I? With you almost erased from existence...*sighs* There's a peaceful alien race and very wise called the Sylphs. They remind me a lot of the Ood, only that they did not have tentacles on their faces nor carried their hearts in their hands. Anyway, when I went to visit them for answers considering the crack of the universe...I got more than what I asked for...
Weiss: But you said to Jinn that there are those who know about the future and those who see the future. Are you saying the Sylphs saw everything that was going to happen? The Void, the Daleks, the Weeping Angels-
The Doctor: They can't see it like I did because there are strict limits to seeing the future...but they can sense it when they connect with one or the universe. With the Void, they said a storm of destruction would approach and it did.
Weiss: They said something about us...when they connected with you.
The Doctor: They said dark times were to come to Remnant and that events were shaping up to happen involving you and the others...One would suffer a fate worse than death...One would be broken mentally than physically...One would return to the cage she came from...and One would be losing their pureness that was filling with darkness...you can already guess who was who...
Weiss bit her lip and knew very well which of the four girls belonged in each category. She understood much more why when they crashed on that plant world, he was pushing them away. He already knew about what they told him and it haunted him so badly.
Weiss: W-Why didn't you tell us...
The Doctor: I wanted to, believe me. But I was scared that if I told you, you wouldn't want to leave me and be closer instead. I couldn't have bare with the fact that I would be the reason you would all get hurt...and look what happened in the Caves and Fall of Beacon...I could never forgive myself for being able to save others, yet I failed not once but twice to save all four of you...
Weiss: You held this pain for so long until we reunited. 300 years of being alone and carrying that pain in you. Why? Why would you even do that to yourself?
The Doctor: *sighs and smiles softly* I had a duty of care.
Tears fell from Weiss knowing all of this and knowing that the Doctor would rather have all that pain in him and being alone in the universe than see his family suffer more. She knew he had already lost his home and his family in Gallifrey, he didn't want to lose them either.
Weiss: You...you really are an idiot...you have no idea the biggest family you have who care for you so much. I may not have had my memories at the time but every night I looked at the stars and kept thinking about you even without noticing it.
The Doctor: During my time of isolation, while it did hurt me...it also helped me. I realized the time in Beacon as the Doctor, I kept running from my trauma and fear...during my 300 years I thought to myself, why the hell am I running? That time...I told myself it's time to stop running away...but to accept what happened and carry it with me as my strength to make sure it never happens again. And since then I have had that mentality, what happened in the Time War, the Weeping Angels, the Fall of Beacon, all of it, I have stopped running away to do what is needed. And you are right, I do have my family here: Team RWBY, Dalek Khan, Team JNR, and you. *smiles*
Weiss smiled softly as she wished she could hold the time lord's hand if they weren't across from each other. The doors opened and here came the Task Force of Skaro as Weiss looked at the Doctor worried and very scared, but the Doctor only nodded his head to reassure her that everything was going to be alright.
Dalek Ryuk: SOCIAL INTERACTION SHALL CEASE! WE HAVE COME TO TAKE WHAT WILL HELP THE DALEKS AND EVOLVE!
The Doctor: Daleks have no concept of evolution. So how the hell are you able to think that way?
Dalek Enmu: THE TIME WAR HAS DAMAGED US! IT MAKES US WEAK!
Dalek Invel: DALEKS WILL NO LONGER BE WEAK! WITH THE DNA OF YOUR COMPANION, THE DALEKS SHALL EVOLVE TO IMMORTALITY!
Dalek Ryuk: AND THIS UNIVERSE SHALL BE IN THE CONTROL OF THE DALEKS!
The Doctor: You Daleks have really gone mad, and you don't even acknowledge it. No...you know what? That's not madness...that's fear. *Smirks and hums* The Daleks are scared.
Dalek Reaper: YOU SHALL BE SILENCED!
Dalek Ryuk: NO! WE SHALL DEMONSTRATE THE DALEKS HAVE NO FEAR!
The Doctor was prepared for what kind of torture the Daleks would do to him as the machine next to him was being activated. He kept a calm face, but he was indeed scared of what else they could do to him.
Dalek Invel: WE SHALL TAKE YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF THIS UNIVERSE FOR US AND TO CONQUER THIS UNIVERSE!
Weiss: NO! YOU'LL KILL HIM!
Dalek Doma: YOU HAVE PREDICTED CORRECTLY!
Weiss: DO ME FIRST! YOU WANT POWER I WILL GIVE IT TO YOU BUT DO ME!
The Doctor: WEISS NO! DO IT DALEKS! DO YOUR WORST!
Weiss: NO ME! I HAVE THE POWER OF ALL TIME, SPACE, AND HEALING IN ME!
Dalek Invel: AND THIS IS THE PLAGUE DISEASE CALLED LOVE THAT MAKES YOUR SPECIES AND OTHERS INFERIOR TO THE DALEKS!
Jolts of electricity reached the mind and body of the Doctor as he screamed in pain while Weiss could only watch. The screams get louder and worse as the Daleks watch on their screen all the information they need about this universe and the planets. As the torture continues for the Doctor, all the information is passed on to the Dalek hivemind.
Supreme Dalek: THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE UNIVERSE IS NOW IN THE MIND OF THE DALEKS!
Daleks: DALEKS ARE THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE! DALEKS ARE THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE!
Once the Daleks got everything they needed from the Doctor, the jolts of electricity stopped, leaving a weakened and hurt Doctor as he tried to breathe while Weiss had to watch all of it.
Weiss: Doctor! DOCTOR!
Dalek Invel: THE GIRL IS NEXT! PREPARE THE EQUIPMENTS!
The Doctor: *grunts in pain* Don't...Don't! Don't touch her!
All five Daleks approached Weiss as she tried to activate her powers to set herself free and destroy them, but nothing was coming through. Above her was a huge drill that has activated and was slowly approaching her. The Doctor with little strength struggled to get out from the cuffs as it was now his turn to watch.
The Doctor: STOP IT! STOP IT! KILL ME! IM RIGHT HERE YOU FILTHY DALEKS! STOOOOOOOP!
A sudden blast was heard, and the drill was destroyed relieving both the Doctor and Weiss while shocking the Task Force as they all turned and looked to see Dalek Khan at the entrance.
Dalek Khan: That is enough!
Weiss: KHAN!
The Doctor: *pants* About time you showed up...
Dalek Ryuk: WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS? EXPLAIN!
Dalek Khan: I never turned back to my original command. It was only a play to buy my friends some time.
Dalek Reaper: THE HUMANS ARE ALIVE?!
Dalek Enmu: YOU BETRAYED US DALEK KHAN!
Dalek Khan: I did not betray you! Your plan never worked, and you were focused on the destruction of Remnant that you did not foresee the destruction of the Daleks.
Dalek Invel: EXPLAIN YOUR ACTIONS!
Dalek Reaper: THE TRAITOR DALEK MUST BE EXTERMINATED!
Without any hesitation or second thought, Dalek Reaper opened fire at Dalek Khan, but the changed Dalek had his forcefield in full display as the other Daleks attempted fire and no luck either.
Dalek Khan: The Dalek ship is placed with bombs that will destroy the entire ship and the fleet of Daleks. You have lost already!
Dalek Ryuk: WE SHALL REPORT TO THE SUPREME LEADER!
Dalek Khan: But why? It will be the same strategy we Daleks have done for centuries! Nothing will change and the outcome will be the same that you lose!
Task Force Daleks: BLASPHEMY!
Dalek Khan: I will not kill you. But I am offering you a chance. A chance of change and evolution for the Daleks. This is the only Dalek ship in the universe and with the crack of the universe sealed forever, we are all that is left in this universe. It is how I began my second chance and my time to fully live.
Dalek Khan proceeded to open his casing once again as the ectoplasmic entity of himself forms and stands in front of the Daleks who move back.
Dalek Enmu: WHAT IS THIS ABOMINATION?!
Dalek Khan: It is my evolution. The Time War did us nothing because we lost, and we are all that is left of the Daleks. That is where I learned to stop doing the same and opened myself up to the universe. Remove all the hatred, the conquering, the destruction, and you will see beautiful things across the universe and that is life. I have developed emotions of my own and it has made me better. It has made me have friends.
Dalek Invel: DALEKS HAVE NO CONCEPT OF EMOTIONS! YOU ARE AN ABOMINATION!
Dalek Doma: DALEKS DO NOT HAVE FRIENDS!
Dalek Khan: I am a Dalek and I always will be. But I am a changed Dalek and I do have friends. Important beings that you can rely on and trust! And you all have emotions, you just have it sealed away. Emotions. Love! Pride! Hate! Fear! That is called feeling alive and freedom. It is never too late to change and to start over.
Before any of the Task Force could respond back, Dalek Khan gives a bit of electricity to all five Daleks which has their minds flashed and shut down completely. The Doctor and Weiss watched on as Dalek Khan returned to his casing and helped in destroying the cuffs as he and Weiss helped the Doctor who was still weakened.
The Doctor: Powerful speech there my friend. But what did you do to them?
Dalek Khan: A flash of the universe. Let's go.
The three looked back at the Task Force Daleks who were still shut down before making their leave. Beneath the ship in the engines room, Ruby, Blake, and Yang are just about done with placing the bombs and activating the timer each for 10 minutes. Their scrolls each vibrated as they looked at the message by Dalek Khan that Weiss and the Doctor have been rescued which brought them huge joy and relief.
Yang: This should be it right?
Ruby: The weaponry ship base is all that's left. I can use my semblance to speed by and place them.
Yang: Ruby, that's dangerous! This isn't like what Khan did to you!
Ruby: I know...but it's now or-
Suddenly the alarms rang, startling the three girls as they looked around believing they were caught by the Daleks but spotted none. The three made a run for it either way as the Doctor pulled out his Sonic Screwdriver and detected that his plan was being set in motion.
Weiss: Doctor, what's going on?
The Doctor: Well, with everything that was going on I wasn't able to tell my plan. Daleks and Cybermen went to battle and what does that usually bring?
Weiss: Destruction.
Dalek Khan: Hatred.
The Doctor: Negativity. And what is attracted to all of that?
Weiss: *eyes widened* Grimm...
Supreme Dalek: WHAT IS HAPPENING?
Dalek Controller #1: INCOMING FLEET OF CREATURES!
Supreme Dalek: MAXIMUM EXTERMINATION!
Approaching the Dalek ship was an entire fleet of flying Grimm: Griffon, Lancer, Manticore, Nevermore, Ravager, Sphinx, and Teryx. All emerging from the dark skies and lunged to the Dalek Saucer as the battle between Daleks and Grimm commenced. Team RBY approached the Weaponry Ship Base and noticed the Daleks distracted with Grimm with a few being destroyed but most Grimm already suffering extermination.
Yang: They're distracted but won't be long until another genocide. You sure you got this Ruby?
Ruby: *nods* I can attach them in 5 seconds.
Yang was nervous as she felt her heart beating fast at seeing her sister go through a dangerous risk like this til Blake held her hand to calm her down. Ruby grabbed the remaining bombs and sped through the battle with her semblance placing the bombs where they are needed in 5 seconds and returns to Yang and Blake.
Ruby: Let's get out of here!
Dalek: HALT! YOU WILL BE EXTER-EUGHHAHAHH
A Dalek approached them ready to kill until a Manticore lunged at it and ripped it apart. Ruby grabbed Blake and Yang using her semblance and speeding through back in the engine room. Back in the ground of Argus, Jaune takes the risk of opening up the bunker door and peeked to see no sign of the Daleks until he looked up.
Nora: Do you see them?
Jaune: I do...but not here...*eyes widened*
More people came out slowly as they saw the battle between Grimm and Daleks happening on the ship. A sight that looked like Wasps surrounding the Bees nest. Qrow looked around to see damage across the city but not heavy destruction until he spotted something on the ground and his eyes widened as well.
Qrow: What the hell is that...
Back in the Dalek Ship, The Doctor, Weiss, and Dalek Khan kept running knowing the bombs will go off any minute now. They run into the console room of the Daleks where they encounter the Supreme Dalek once again but on the other side, Team RBY arrived at the same time.
Ruby: GUYS!
The Doctor: Stay right there Ruby!
Supreme Dalek: WHAT IS THIS? THE HUMANS SHOULD HAVE BEEN EXTERMINATED! EXPLAIN DALEK KHAN!
Dalek Khan: It was merely a trick and a plan you did not see on time.
The Doctor: It's over Supreme Dalek! You lost already!
Supreme Dalek: THE DALEKS WILL NOT LOSE TO THESE INFERIORS! WE WILL EXTERMINATE THEM JUST LIKE THE CYBERMEN!
The Doctor: Well bad news, this whole ship is placed with bombs and at any moment-
Explosions were heard across the ship tumbling everyone and everything in sight while destroying a bunch of Daleks and Grimm as well. The bombs were going off as the gang all reunite and gather in one spot while the remaining Daleks and Supreme Dalek held them at gunpoint.
Supreme Dalek: YOU WILL ALL DIE! YOU WILL NOT ESCAPE THIS! THE DALEKS WILL SURVIVE BUT YOU WON'T!
The Doctor: Just give it up already! You lost Supreme Dalek! This is your only ship with your only fleet. The whole bomb will destroy it all and kill every Dalek on this ship!
Supreme Dalek: NO DOCTOR! THE DALEKS WILL ALWAYS LIVE ON! EXTERMINATE!
The Daleks all blasted towards the gang, but nothing hit them at all which confused all the Daleks. Only the Doctor was the one standing with a smirk on his face in front of this destruction.
The Doctor: Oops, sorry. TARDIS force field is still here. We get in, you don't.
Supreme Dalek: THE TARDIS HAS BEEN DESTROYED!
The Doctor: Ah, don't be silly, of course it hasn't. Our good friend Khan made it look like he destroyed it when in reality, he just transported it to a safer place. I'll give it a quick blast from my sonic, and the real time envelope will reassemble right here.
Activating his Sonic Screwdriver, the groaning mechanical noise of the TARDIS was heard and soon emerged behind the gang as they all had a smile of relief and were ready to get out of here. But the Supreme Dalek was not going to let it happen.
Supreme Dalek: YOU WILL NOT ESCAPE DOCTOR! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!
Dalek Khan: Your days of tyranny and conquest are over. The Daleks are NO MORE!
In a sudden act, the Dalek blasted the roof of the Dalek ship as Debree falls on top of the Supreme Dalek, crushing him and killing him at once. The final bombs in the weaponry base went off killing all the Grimm and Daleks in that area as other bombs go off and the ship began to fall. The people of Argus watched and cheered when the explosions were seen. The horror was over, and Argus alongside Remnant was saved.
The Destruction of the Daleks had come but it was their own destruction.
The Doctor: Alright in the TARDIS Now!
Team RWBY nodded and made their run inside the TARDIS as the Doctor and Dalek Khan watched the destruction. Daleks bleeding, exploding, scattering around to escape, and even crying for help which he had not heard since he first met Dalek Khan. It didn't make them feel victorious. Just like Dalek Khan demonstrating he's different from the Daleks, the Doctor felt different from the Time Lords. They would have celebrated the glory of killing the Daleks, but the Doctor did not feel that.
He felt sympathy.
Perhaps in his rage he would admire or gloat about how he was right that they would die but his heart was not like that. He wished they had a chance to change just like Dalek Khan. That was the thing about being the Doctor of Hope and Kindness, you wish they could change, earn a second chance to live life at its fullest. It pained him that sometimes it doesn't go how he wants it because there are beings that wish to stay how they are in the cold darkness. Appearing from the smoke was the Task Force of Skaro who only stood there staring at the Doctor and Dalek Khan and they stared back at the group in return. No reaction, no threats of extermination, they just stood there as the destruction continued.
Weiss: DOCTOR LET'S GO!
Taking one last look at the ship and the Daleks, one thing would definitely make the Doctor at ease. The nightmare of the Last Great Time War was now put to rest. Pressing buttons and setting the coordinates, the Doctor pulls the lever as the TARDIS dematerializes in the flame of the Dalek ship. The people of Argus watched and cheered as the ship was slowly falling to crash somewhere in Remnant. The TARDIS arrived back in Argus as everyone ran out to see the Dalek ship in flames with the fleet of Grimm burning as well.
Jaune: GUYS!
Nora: YOU DID IT!
Oscar: Even mighty alien warriors can't stop you guys! That was an incredible plan.
Weiss: Well...we only did the execution of the plans.
Yang: It was the Doctor.
Ruby: And Dalek Khan!
While everyone else regrouped and chatted about the double victories today. The Doctor and Dalek Khan continue to watch the ship slowly descending to wherever it crashes. The two look at each other and run back inside the TARDIS catching everyone off guard as they hear the TARDIS disappear.
Weiss: Doctor!
Blake: Where are you guys going?!
Yang: They probably want to see if the crash won't impact any islands or oceans that could cause tsunamis nearby.
Blake: Do you...think his inner battle with the nightmares of the Time War ended?
Ruby: I'd say so. A part of him can rest. Who he was in the past can finally rest with his parents and everyone that died. Gallifrey can rest now.
The news about the Daleks surged across all of Remnant for everyone to see. This caught the attention of a few notable figures who observed everything that happened like the Cybermen and Salem who was in a meeting with Ashad about the Daleks.
Salem: Your soldiers have fought well. A shame those things got the numbers game but if it wasn't for our Cyber Beast, perhaps it would have been uglier.
Ashad: We are still growing, expanding, evolving. What we lost was just a small fraction of our army. Your creatures have a very special gift in detecting negative emotions, it will be very useful for what's to come for Remnant.
More Grimm entered the room as Ashad welcomed it before the Grimm lets out a painful roar as Emerald, Mercury, and Hazel listened from outside the meeting room.
Emerald: What is she doing?
Hazel: There's an old saying. If you want something done right... do it yourself.
In others, it would be a familiar sight of an event that stays with them, even if their memories and true persona are stored away. As Neo listened to the radio broadcast, she did not realize that her partner had let her guard down for the inner voice to take over.
Cinder: You know Neopolitan. I know about those creatures very well. With Cinder out of touch, I could try and chat with ya. Why don't I tell you about my home planet, Gallifrey.
Back in Argus, an hour after the Daleks incident and the Doctor last sight before disappearing, the main gang now had a ship ready to head off to Atlas after helping the townspeople and cleaning up the damage. Some places were destroyed but the city was far from full wipeout. Cordovin placed a new plane for the gang to get on and considered it as a return for helping slay Leviathan. After bidding goodbye to Saphron, Terra, and Adrian, the gang officially departs for Atlas. But there was still sign of the Doctor which worried Team RWBY.
Maria: We should have just enough fuel to make it.
Ruby: Thanks, Miss Calavera.
Qrow: Hey, Ruby. You did great out there today, kid. Just don't go giving me heart attacks like that again.
Ruby: *giggles and hugs Uncle Qrow* Love you too Uncle Qrow.
Jaune: So how long will we get to Atlas?
Maria: Not for the next 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Nora: *groans* We are gonna get bored fast. AND WE DIDN'T BRING ANY GAMES!
Blake: Maybe just getting some good rest will be enough. We've had a very long... complicated...and drained day.
Yang: I for one agree on a very long nap. *Holds Blake's hand and smiles softly* And some time to talk about the future.
Weiss: Unreal that happened Blake. I'm sorry you went through that nightmare. But, I'm glad Yang was there for you in time.
Yang: We were there for each other.
Nora: Took the words right out of my mouth.
Blake blushing lightly laid her head on Yang's shoulder and closed her eyes as Yang blushed softly hoping no one would notice. Everyone's eyes then went to Ruby which startled her.
Ruby: Hey, stop it!
Ren: You petrified a Leviathan... after diving down the barrel of a cannon!
Ruby:*laughs* Don't act like you all haven't done crazy stuff before!
Oscar: I mean you're one to talk with heading to an alien ship and taking it down.
Ruby: Nah, like we said before we just helped so the plan can go without any problems.
Yang: It did take us a little longer with that teleportation delay.
Ren: My question is if those were the same species as Khan, why is he different from the rest of them who wanted to destroy and conquer?
The girls thought about that well and recalled the Doctor's story of escaping the Time War with Dalek Khan. They were about to respond until the plane gets a bit of turbulance startling everyone until the noise of the TARDIS was heard as the time travelling police box appeared on the plane and out came the Doctor.
The Doctor: You know it's very hard to land the TARDIS when the plane is moving as well. You try to land and next thing you know, you almost fall into the ocean.
Weiss: Doctor! *Hugs him tight* Where did you go? You didn't answer my texts and just left without a word.
The Doctor: *sighs* I had to make sure the Dalek Ship would crash somewhere that wouldn't create a bigger impact or aftershock. It crashed into the water and deep in the ocean.
Ruby: How are you and Khan doing?
Dalek Khan: We're alright Ruby. Don't you worry!
Ruby: *smiles* You really were the hero today, Khan. We probably couldn't have stopped the Daleks without you. You really made your point that you are a changed Dalek. *Hugs him*
The Dalek felt happiness as he welcomed the hug as the rest of the girls hugged him as well while the Doctor watched with a smile to see how far his Dalek friend had come and lived to his second chance. He felt a small tug and noticed Qrow with a concerned look wishing to talk privately. Going into whispers, Qrow pulled out his scroll to reveal the image of the dead Cyber Beast.
Qrow: This was causing rampage against those aliens in Argus before it was killed. Should we be concerned about what those robot guys are doing?
The Doctor: Perhaps not yet. They are experimenting with the Grimm and they will try to improve again from the good and bad about this hybrid. If it works out, then it's bad news for all of us. I'll make sure to keep a close eye.
RIIIIIIIING
Everyone was startled once again by a sudden ringing noise. It came from the TARDIS as Weiss opened up and there was an actual phone inside the police box. The phone continued to ring as the others looked at each other then the Doctor who gave the go-ahead signal. Taking a deep breath, Weiss grabs it and answers it as everyone tries to get a snip of the conversation.
Weiss: H-Hello. *Eyes widened and gasp* Y-Yes! Hi! Wow...I didn't think I would hear from you again...OH! Y-Yes, hang on! *Looks at the Doctor* He wants to speak with you.
The Doctor: *whispers to her* And who it might be?
Weiss: My grandfather...
The Doctor: Ah. *Grabs the phone* Why hello good ol Nicholas Schnee! What's the Sitch?
The other side of the call was none other than Nicholas Schnee who is much older now but still handling control over the city. He looked at blurry photos with a near clear image of a giant green alien.
Nicholas: Tricky situation, Doctor. Potentially very dangerous. I think I'm going to need you and your crew.
The Doctor: Don't worry about a thing, Nicholas. We're on our way! *Hangs up* That was your grandfather, and he needs our help.
Jaune: WAIT! Weiss's Grandpa? Calling you for help?!
Nora: He's a time traveler Jaune, remember? I'm more shocked it was her grandfather who called!
The Doctor: The adventure never stops! Now, this flight is little over two hours to Atlas. I can bring you girls back here with about a good 30 minutes left before arrival. What do you say? Ready to take a trip to Past Mantle?
Ruby: YES!
Weiss: Always.
Blake: Adventure is everywhere!
Yang: HELL YEAH!
The Doctor: Of course, with permission from the adults? *Looks at Qrow*
Qrow: *chuckles* Go. Just please be careful and bring them back safe Doctor!
The Doctor nodded as Team RWBY excused themselves again from the gang and ran inside the TARDIS as Dalek Khan as placing the coordinates. For Team RWBY and the Doctor, what they couldn't do when Beacon fell they would be able to do it here and now, travelling on another big adventure.
The Doctor: The family is all back together, what could go wrong?
Blake: Aliens.
Weiss: Ghosts.
Ruby and Yang: Grimm.
The Doctor: Yes but that's just how it is. *smiles* I'm glad you're here with me. I don't think I could spend another hundreds of years on my own.
Weiss: *holds his hand* No more. You got your family here and forever.
The Doctor looked at Team RWBY and Dalek Khan with a precious smile from the heart as he is back home and with his family. A second chance for him to live on and no matter what obstacles will come in their way, they'll be ready. He'll be ready.
The Doctor: Then...Off We Go!
Pulling the lever down, the TARDIS shook for a moment as everyone enjoyed the ride with excitement for their next adventure. The TARDIS disappeared once again in front of the gang and off to Mantle in the past to do the usual, passing through and helping out all across time and space. For the story of Team RWBY and their Odd Gentleman with a Blue Box continues!
