Chapter 6: Old Bullies.

Five years passed by quite fast, with Onyx finally learning how to put his grief behind after the loss of his master and he never stopped training to get stronger and make his master proud. During those five years things really changed on the Nikos' Household too as Pyrrha grew to a healthy young teenager and she was already five-five foot or one dot seventy meters tall.

Pyrrha wasn't the only one that grew as at the start of the year Onyx started growing like crazy to the point he was taller than his sister as he reached a healthy five-eight foot tall or one dot seventy eight meters and making him a bit taller than most kids his age too.

Another change was that Pyrrha started studying at Sanctum Academy where she was outperforming all her classmates and with her Aura unlocked she became a beast in the arena. Both Onyx and their mother were proud of Pyrrha, she was a natural during combat and Amarys couldn't help but see her husband on her daughter.

This was the first time that Onyx could honestly feel how much power Aura gives to someone as Pyrrha was reaching quickly to his current level and she was a natural with the understatement of Aura in general too, something he had in common with her sister as she was naturally gifted with understanding Aura and Himself understanding Ki. Onyx felt proud of his sister and it was cool that his sister was strong too, even cooler that she was going to participate in her third regional tournament this year after winning the first one and second one.

Onyx studied with Pyrrha on the nights as he learned more about the Grimm and how Huntsman work and train, he wanted at some point try to be a huntsman but there was the small problem of him not having Aura nor having a formal training despite him knowing how to fight and killed Grimm on his own…maybe Qrow can put a good word on him as he sometimes comes to watch and talk when he trains after School.

Sadly, not much changed on School for Onyx as he was still an outcast so he pretty much kept to himself and the popular kids kept trying to pester him as always, even in High School and his growth spurt didn't deter them nor that Onyx was certainly better fit and stronger as Gym class demonstrated. No, the monkey tail was his curse but he found solace in the speeches of Ghira Belladonna.

One day, he got out of High School early and wanted to walk back home with Pyrrha and Sanctum academy was on his way home so he headed to the academy and waited at the entrance for his sister. After thirty minutes the students of the academy went out, some giving him a glare but he was used to it so he shrugged.

A few moments later Pyrrha came out of the academy but a female student got In Pyrrha's face

"One day I will beat you Nikos!" The girl says as she huffs and leaves to talk with her group of friends on the gate, she had dark skin and semi-short blond hair and was also wearing a mistralian martial arts outfit. Onyx raised an eyebrow as he noticed that she was strong, not as strong as Pyrrha or himself but was strong.

"What's the deal with that girl sis?" Onyx asks with his hands on the pockets of his jeans.

"Usual Arslan…I beat her again in combat class, she is certainly a good opponent but you know how it is brother" Pyrrha sighs and shakes her head, this one sided rivalry with Arslan was a bit dumb.

"I can tell she is strong but you are stronger…more than most people here anyway" Onyx shrugs.

"Onyx, that isn't nice" Pyrrha narrows her eyes.

"Just stating the facts sis" Onyx flinches a little.

Sadly the nice talk they were having is interrupted by a loud voice, one annoying and familiar at that as it was Onyx's usual bully during their younger years, Verde Greenwood and his voice was loud enough to make everyone nearby the gate turn around and see what was going on.

"Well, if it isn't the dirty monkey" Verde says with his usual arrogance.

"Shut up Verde, that's my brother who you are speaking off, don't make me embarrass you in the arena again" Pyrrha throws Verde a powerful glare, she wasn't afraid to use her status as the best combatant on Sanctum against Verde.

"Zip it animal lover" Verde shrugs off her glare.

"God Verde, don't you have anything better to do than to waste everyone's time?" Onyx groans annoyed as he decides to speak.

"Shut up dirty monkey, I'm way above you, I'm training to be a huntsman so don't test my patience weakling, I'm way stronger than you or your sister" Verde taunts Onyx.

Onyx rolls his eyes as Verde pulls the "I'm stronger than you" card, it was so cliche that it hurts. Onyx could tell that Verde was weaker than him so he could call his bluff and to be honest, he wanted to beat Verde's ass as he got older.

"Suuuuuuuure, stronger than Pyrrha and I'm Atlas General, you are more bark than bite Verde, you sure you are training to be a huntsman?" Onyx says with a little sass, some of the students watching snort a little

Pyrrha, normally would scold her brother but in this case, she was going to let him have this as his brother came with good comebacks and it was Verde, he was a jerk.

"Don't test me monkey" Verde says and this made Onyx a bit angrier, being called monkey made Onyx angrier for some reason, like something subconscious made him hate the word monkey.

"Just go home and stop wasting time, I'm sure I can speak for everyone that your voice is not as nice as you think it is, just think about it? Your parents always send you out of the house so they are also tired of your loud mouth" Onyx shots with a lot of sass and snark with that jab, making all the people watching go oh loudly.

"Another reason why girls don't like him" Pyrrha comments too, making the "oh" louder.

This was the straw that broke the camel's back as Verde suddenly punched Onyx on the face, it was so unexpected that he wasn't even ready to defend it as his face felt the whiplash of the punch and his body shifted, giving Verde his back as his hand went to his nose and could feel blood dripping from his nose.

Everyone was whispering things like "Verde just attacked that faunus" or "Verde having an aura just attacked someone without Aura" or other things among those lines. Onyx's gaze finally met Pyrrha's, who was mouthing something that meant that he couldn't beat Verde so much and leave something for her for combat class…yeah, Onyx could do that and leave some leftovers for his sister.

"I hope you know this means I can get back to ya!" Onyx yells as he immediately delivers a kick to Verde's chest, pushing him away.

Verde was surprised that Onyx actually struck back and that the kick was strong but he had aura, he was stronger! The other students made a circle and shouted "fight!" In excitement, even Arslan joined to watch and noticed the stance that Onyx took and was extremely surprised at how good it looked, she barely saw any openings and this made her want to see how the brother of her rival fought, even more against an Aura user as a martial artist herself.

Verde throws another punch but Onyx deflected it with his palm and countered with a jab on the ribs, following with an elbow strike on the face and ending with a spinning kick, using the momentum of his movement. Verde barely knew what hit him as his aura was visible after the kick…the bully was asking himself why was this dirty monkey so strong? He had Aura, he was superhuman but this damned monkey was fighting him and winning!

The bully in his rage threw a front kick but was quickly deflected by a side kick of Onyx that hurt his leg a lot but Onyx wasn't done, he was just getting started as he did a low kick on Verde's leg that made the bully stumble and followed with a combo of kicks on the face and finished with a powerful punch in the gut that broke Verde's aura and made him fall unconscious. Noticing what he did, Onyx only had one word in mind.

"Oops, I guess he wasn't that strong to deal with my attacks" Onyx shrugs with a slight smirk on his face.

That's when he hears the common sound of someone getting punched in the face behind him so he turns around to see Pyrrha squaring with one of Verde's friend, putting two and two together he knew that Verde's group of friends would do something like this but Pyrrha had his back…either way he would need the help as it was at least seven of them.

"You know, this is a good way to spend quality time as siblings" Onyx jokes as he gets ready for the big fight.

"Mom will not be happy my dear brother" Pyrrha comments with a smirk.

"And you ruined it my dear sister" Onyx smirks back at Pyrrha but to their surprise, someone else joins their side.

"Mind if I join you as a fellow martial artist, Pyrrha's brother" Arslan gets on her fighting stance as she lines up with the Nikos siblings.

"Onyx is the name and sure, the more, the merrier" Onyx grins.

It was an all out battle between Verde's friends, the top two best fighters of Sanctum and Onyx but if we were honest, more than a battle it was more of a one sided fight as Verde's friends were weaker than Verde himself. Bodies were thrown around, crashing against the ground or wall alongside Aura's breaking or being weakened enough that surrender was a nice option.

When the sound of a police patrol was heard all the students were watching the fight quickly dispersed by either running away or walking away as if they hadn't seen a thing. Onyx groaned, it was such a great timing for a police car to be patrolling and come close during the fight.

"Talk about bad timing" Onyx comments as he watches the two officers get out of the vehicle.

"Yep" Pyrrha and Arslan nod.

"And I have a feeling our parents won't be happy" Onyx comments again.

"Eh, my parents won't mind that much really" Arslan shrugs.

"But our Mother will certainly give us an earful but we have more pressing matters at hand, named to officers approaching" Pyrrha facepalms, he didn't want to get in trouble but alas, Verde always brought all sorts of trouble.

The two police officers approached the three teenagers who were still standing and took a deep breath, these were students of Sanctum, instantly recognizing Pyrrha for being the current regional champion, Arlsan was a runner up and finally there was the Faunus with a bloody nose.

The officers already recognized Verde Greenwood who was starting to wake up, hard not to as he was from an upper status thanks to his Family the Greenwood but also a big troublemaker that has been on the station more than a couple times. The officer stared at the three teenagers and ordered them to accompany them to the station, mostly to avoid more problems with Verde. Nobody noticed the crow staring at the top of the gate.

In the stations they were separated in different rooms for questioning, more to know what was the deal of the situation than they were in trouble as the officers already guessed it was Verde's fault.

Onyx sat in the white room, a steel desk in front of him as he tapped his fingers on the table, making a nice rhythm as he waited in silence in the lonely room, getting more loud with the rhythm he was playing with the steel table. After twenty minutes two officers finally entered the room.

"Nice sounds kid, you got talent" The Officer number one compliments Onyx, trying to play good cop.

"Thanks…" Onyx was feeling a bit anxious, he was a faunus and the discrimination might be even in the police.

"What's your name, young man?" Officer number two asks.

"Onyx Nikos" Onyx answers the question.

"The red headed girl said she was Pyrrha Nikos, of course, she's our regional champion…what's your relation to her?" The first officer asks.

"She's my sister" Onyx answer the question and notices the officers looking at his tail "I'm adopted"

"Well, that explains…So, how did this altercation happen with Greenwood?" The first officer continues with the questioning.

"I got out of School early so I went to Sanctum to wait for my sister so we could walk home together or take the cable car but Verde decided to make his entrance. Guy always hated me for being a Faunus since elementary school and he was thinking was was hot stuff because he is training to be a huntsman and has Aura so I called him out, didn't like it, he struck me in the face with his fist so I defended myself" Onyx explains what happened.

The officers looked at each other, it matched with the testimony of Pyrrha and Arslan but they weren't convinced.

"How can we be sure you didn't want to get some revenge on Verde?" the second officer asks, narrowing his eyes.

"As if, I just went to have a fight I wouldn't have let him hit me and he is weaker than me even If I don't have an Aura like him" Onyx scoffs.

Now this surprised the officers were surprised, Onyx is claiming he doesn't have Aura and this is bluffing and a blatant lie and by looking at Onyx knuckles they were still a bit red so he did deliver some pain to others and when they arrived he was in the middle of a spinning kick against one of Verde's troublemaker friends. He didn't just activate it to look like he didn't have Aura.

"Bullshit, there is no way you don't have an aura, you were fighting Aura users" The second police officer scoffs.

"Okay, calm down" The first officer says to his partner and turns to Onyx "Mind if we test it?"

"Sure, go ahead and tug my Aura" Onyx rolls his eyes.

The first officer, the good cop, stands up and grabs Onyx's shoulder. Police officers always worked in two, one with Aura and one without Aura as it was the standard procedure in all Remnant, some were Academy drop out or huntsmen/huntresses who decided huntsmen work wasn't their thing or just wanted to be part of the force.

The first officer closes his eyes and tries to tug Onyx aura only to get no reaction, he tries again just in case he did something wrong but it was like the first try…no Aura. The officer was dumbfounded, this kind fought Aura users and won, sure he had backup of his sister who is a regional champion and another Aura user but he was fighting on their level.

There is also the fact that Verde and his friends attacked a civilian with no aura and themselves having Aura meaning that they were committing a crime. Before he could say anything the door opened when the police chief entered the room.

"Let the kid go now" The chief says.

"But chief-" The second officer starts speaking.

"Did I stutter?" The chief narrows his eyes as he cuts off his subordinate.

"No, chief" The first officer says "You can go kid"

Onyx stood up from his chair and left the room, the police chief stayed behind to inform his two subordinates why he was let go of. A known huntsman, Haven academy, Atlas academy and even Beacon academy requested Onyx release and they were putting a lot of pressure on the police station. This had Ozpin's handprints everywhere but apparently it was from this huntsman that the request was done, even footage was provided, with the smell of alcohol and everything.

At the end of the day Pyrrha and Onyx were grounded by an angry Amarys…yet the question she asked afterwards was if they won and the answer she received was a smirk from her children, that's all she needed to know.

As the months pass and the regional tournament was coming closer and closer, with the news of the defending champion participating this year again for the third time and there was quite the hype around it, specially since Pyrrha started getting sponsored by Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes, a known cereal with had varios huntsman as their face and Pyrrha was the latest.

When the tournament came and Pyrrha ran through the competition with her skills and the use of her semblance who was still a secret to everyone but her family, the moniker of the Invincible Girl was born since no one had ever won three times in a row. Money started rolling into the Nikos' households as Pyrrha gave a lot of the prize money and sponsorship money to his money to deal with it while keeping a part to herself for her own things.

Pyrrha's fame grew so much that she needed an agent so one was hired. This was a trying time for the family as the agent advised to keep Onyx status as Pyrrha's brother as a secret to avoid backlash from the public and companies that would want to sponsor Pyrrha that had questionable beliefs about the Faunus. Pyrrha and Amarys weren't happy but Onyx really didn't care at this point anymore, as long as his sister was known to be strong and they lived well all was good in his book.

It was during this same time of the year that some troubling news came from The White Fang, Ghira Belladonna has stepped down as High Leader of the White Fang and was succeeded by Sienna Khan, a tigress faunus who's ideals were more…radical to say the least. Sienna Khan believed that the only way to stop human hatred and discrimination towards faunus was through fear and their main target was the Schnee Dust Company.

Apparently the change was made two years ago but now the news are coming into light, due to internal procedures on the change of leadership but Ghira Belladonna was fully out of the organization he created.

Some demonstrations were soon happening with vandalism and some factories of the SDC destroyed when the workers were off.

Onyx didn't like this, sure he would fight for his rights when he was forced too but resorting to this level of violence was not something he couldn't approve of because he predicts that this will escalate more, because his mother drilled in his head how to be a good person, because the teachings of the Turtle School aims for the betterment of oneself and the world. He wondered if the White Fang he believed in was still there.

Author Notes.

Here we go, now we are moving forward without Goku's influence in the story and how the time pass for Onyx, how he's dealing with a life without Goku teaching him for years, how the teachings of his family and master is guiding him, how the White Fang he found solace in is starting to change and not for the better.

We can already see that he can hold a grudge towards his bully and he won't mince his words either, He is also growing to be a bit impulsive since he followed those feelings of bitterness and decided to fight back when he could have been the bigger man. He is a Saiyan that grew as a normal human would in away so he has starting to develop flaws.

We also see that Pyrrha is changing a little because…Having a sibling will influence you in a way, Talking from my own experience and from seeing others that start having siblings because x and y reasons and things change, how they act in certain ways and other stuff. She is still the same kind and selfless person but she is having different things since she isn't an only child.

Also, This matter wracks my brain. The Regional Tourney, Pyrrha in the story is a fourth time champion according to Weiss and herself and the lore of RWBY…but my question is, since we really don't have a lot of information, Combat schools age of entry?! We know that most students enter academies at the age of 17 and turn 18 during the first year…but what about combat schools?

We barely know anything and If my memory serves me right, The regional tourneys are an annual thing…so Pyrrha had to start combat school at 14 and had her first tournament win the same year, then the at 15 her second, the third at 16 and the fourth at 17 but she would be entering Beacon…so she had to enter at 13 on combat school and that same year enter the tournament but wouldn't that be a bit too…Green for a tournament? I think that you enter a combat school at the age of 13, then the next year you can enter the regional tournament after some time training. We do know she is a prodigy and I added that she started earlier training if you guys remember…RWBY timeline before (And even after) Is a mess and we don't have info. So, Probably because she is a prodigy, she entered early, the same year she got into combat school and started kicking ass...that works for me.

So, Making the White Fang change leadership now too…Once again, we don't have the best timeline in RWBY but we know that the leadership changed 5 years before V1 but I'm making it now happening in a different manner, Ghira was out of the leadership 2 years before but, due to politics, the status was never revealed, just two years after it happened it was revealed. This is due to Sienna arming and starting to plan things out, something that we will see in depth later on with certain cat faunus.

Anyway, let's go with the reviews.

Triscythe59: He will…during Beacon, this Arc, the Childhood Arc is him growing up and how the world of Remnant Shapes him. So I would hold my breath until the Childhood Arc finishes to see more revelations for Onyx, about his true origin and meeting more of the cast of DB that will be slowly added to the story. For now, the Story is more RWBY focused. Give it time.

Yeah, i wanted that Friendly Rivalry between Gohan and Onyx, Gohan grew in with a lot of conflict while Onyx didn't, their training was vastly different even if Gohan is miles stronger but realizes that Strenght isn't the be all end all.

Just a funny thing that I wanted to add really, Pyrrha starting to hit the age of: "man that boy is cute" but we know that Pyrrha has a thing for blondes but things will change more as she gets more fame and such.

Some1Call4MR-E: The timeline that I set up is fine, aside from the issues I have with the regional tournament but I digress. Remember that I wrote on the rules I set up that Onyx arrives on Remnant, thanks to the wormhole and the time crap logic that applied, at the age of 4 and Gohan would be the same age, be in Sync, I know I said a year before Radiz but he is the 4 at the start of Z so that would make sense.

Anyway, Gohan and Onyx have the same age (Gohan having technically 11 since he spent a year on the time chamber) Goku's point of taking Gohan is because Goku is different after training Onyx and it's the resting time for Gohan and Himself, so why not make his son spend time with kids his age since everyone in the Z fighters are adults and the only two kids he knows are Pyrrha and Onyx. He encourages Gohan to play with them, to have fun, to relax in another world with people his age.

Yes Goku made them fight for the sake of Onyx and for Gohan to realize his flaws and to see that fighting can be fun when there is no stakes but it was mostly for Onyx's sake that he had the idea that he could join. Goku is Onyx's master and he noticed his attitude since.

it could have been out of nowhere, yeah but it works for the story in my opinion, of course you can have a different opinion and yes, I thought about the story that I'm writing, this works for the story and will be revisited in the future.

GoGang214: I doubt it, Gohan arc is that he hates fighting but fights because is do or die, that's his character while yes, he did enjoy sparring with Onyx, because no one was going to die or the sake of the world was at stake.

Eli Villa: It was actually quite fun to write, how to make the two different and make Gohan act like a kid with kids around him and with someone stronger struggling with someone weaker for a moment. A fun chapter to write, those are the ones that I enjoy the most.
