On the outskirts of the Crocodile Swamp, a figure moves through the bushes. Using the shadows of the murky swampland, it moves swiftly through the many Serpentine patrols that now dominate the landscape. Moving with purpose, it makes its way towards the main Hideout, and into the heart of the Crocodile Kingdom. It moves with confidence, for he knows these lands, his lands.

After the recent events at the Spires, Cragger has returned to his kingdom for one reason alone, to find the sacred flute that will lead to the defeat of the serpentine oppressors. "Don't worry Eris, I'll get your home back! No matter the cost!" he said to himself as he made it inside the compound. He knew the pain of losing his home, every second reminding him of it, but he knew he could take his kingdom back on his own. As much as he hated to admit it, he needed his friend's help to liberate his father's throne, he just wasn't the kind of king his father hoped for.

He had allowed himself to fall for his sister's lies, got himself controlled by the enemy, and was hopeless to defend his home from Crooler's betrayal. His sister's betrayal was the one thing he had not come to terms with. Why would Crooler do this, they had always been close, hadn't they? Did she really hate him as much as she claimed, what had he done to her? Was he, not a good brother? Was this really just about the throne, or was there more to this?

He didn't know, but he would get to the bottom of this! For now, he had to focus on finding that flute, the future of Chima depended on it! He had taken it from Crug on the day of the snake's takeover, so chances were that it was in his room. He just had to hope that no one had found it before him. He just had to get there undetected, grabbing a cloak, he blended in among his citizens, hoping that the snakes could tell him apart.

At the Lion Encampment, Laval walks into the main tent looking for someone. "Were did you go you sneaky croc!' he utters to himself as he surveys the room. "Looking for someone!' A voice suddenly game from next to him, turning he saw his father standing besides him. "Dad! You scared me!" he said in relieve, as he catches his breath. Moving past him, Lagravis responds, "Sorry about that son. It was not my intention." He apologized seriously as he sorted trough some letter. "What are those?!" Laval asked curiously, pointing at the letters. "Summons." Lagravis said firmly, "We can no longer afford to wait, I have sent for representatives of the remaining tribes to come here for a meeting, and their chi at course!" he explained as he looked his son in the eye. "Isn't dangerous Dad?1" Laval asked concerned. "Very, but with what happen at the Eagle Spires it has become clear that the need for action is inevitable! We must band together against the snakes or risk losing everything!" Lagravis told him, the serious tone returning before he let out a sigh. "These are the types of decisions a leader has to make, for the good of his people, and for the good of the lands. Risk like these are just part of the job I'm afraid. And something, a responsibility that will fall to you." he explained dejectedly, mourning the loss of his son's childhood. "Hey, its alright Dad! I know what I'll have to do someday!" he reassured him with a smile. Lagravis just looked at his son with a proud grin on his face, "I know, I just wish I could have given you some more time. Now, I believe you were looking for something!" he replied. "Oh, right! Have you seen Cragger? I haven't seen him all morning!" he told his father. "No, I can't say I have. But I'm sure he'll turn up." Lagravis told him confidently. "Yeah, I know. I just hope he's being careful," he responded concerned.

Back at the swamp, Cragger had manage to make it through the crowd unseen. Walking among them, he could see the unease in everyone's face, the crocs had gotten it easier compared to the others, but it was obvious that they still felt the snake's oppressive grab. He had to admit, Crooler had obviously tried to maintain the peace, but it was easy to see how that had turned out. "Down with the false queen!" could be seen painted among the walls, as well as giant drawings of snake head with a big red cross atop them. It was clear the people weren't taking this lying down; he could feel proud at that. He might not have been the best king, but at least he never got opposition like this! Of course, speaking out had its disadvantages as well, a dark green croc was currently being dragged away by two serpentine warriors, "Let me go you scaly cretins! I swear, my rage will consume you all!" he yelled in a gruff voice as he was dragged away. Cragger hadn't expected this! He could see others screaming madly at nothing, as if fighting invisible monsters as snakes surrounded them laughing, while others hid as soon as the snakes appeared. Speaking of the snakes, they were different than the last ones he was familiar with. He knew the Hypnobrai had left the swamp, but he hadn't expected their replacements to be so freaky. They were green, with lime and red markings and four glowing yellow eyes on their faces; they also carried veils on their person, seemingly carrying some form of liquid. He eyed them carefully as he made his way over to his champers.

Fortunately, the way to the royal champers wasn't heavily guarded today, he assumed that problem with the croc before might had something to do with it, or Crooler just didn't like anyone getting that close to her. Regardless, he quickly rushed over to his room. Getting to it at record speed, he immediately began searching through his stuff, "No, no, no! It's not here! Maybe I put it over there! Or under the bed? Ahhh, where is that flute!" he cried as he practically flipped the room searching for the flute. Gathering his nerves, he breath deeply before he concluded, "There's only one other place it could be!" he said with resolve as he turned towards his sister's room. If anyone had taken it, it had to be her, he reasoned to himself as he made his way towards the forbitten chamber. He had never been to his sister's room, he liked his arms where they were after all, but desperate times called for desperate measures. Making his way over to the rooms he saw it was strangely empty. Sure, Crooler wasn't into girly things, but he expected her to have more than this, her weapons stacked needly on a corner, a simple dresser and a small crown sitting atop it. There was also lots of boxes littering the room, boxes that must have been moved recently. Scanning the room, he made his way over to the dresser, looking at the boxes sitting next to it. Looking up at the mirror, he saw some pictures stuck to the edges, one of them in their youth, smiling together. And one of their family, he in between their parents, and Crooler over at the side, looking… sad, standing all alone on their shadow. He looked at the others, all were the same, his sister looking miserable, the only one with a smile was the one of them together, when they were too young to understand the roles they were to play. Before he was declared heir, before they drifted apart. He remembered the words she had told him before, "Well maybe if you hadn't ruined my life, I wouldn't have to do things like this now would I miracle child!". It wasn't his fault, it wasn't his fault he the throne had gone to him, he hatched first, it was tradition! He had hatched first, right?

He shook his head; this wasn't the time to things like this! He had a mission, a duty, he had to find that flute. Slamming his fist against the dresser, he resolved to finish this, no mater what! Suddenly he looked at the box right next to him, it was full of his things. Not anything important, just little trinkets he had picked here and there, old gifts and toys from his childhood. "Why would Crooler keep any of this stuff." He wondered as he rummaged through the box, before finding what he was looking for. "The flute! It's here, yes, yes, yes! Now I just need to get out of here!" he said as he tugged it behind him, preparing to make his way outside. But as he prepared to leave, a familiar shape got his eye, Crooler. His sister was right there, he could fallow her, end this before it escalated any further. With his mind made up, he followed her, making sure to keep his distance just in case.

At the Crocodile Library, Crooler was once again summoned by Acidicus. For the supposed monarch of the kingdom, she seems to be summoned more than one would expect. Climbing the twisting staircase that led to the room she stopped before the doorway with an unreadable expression. "Did you ask for me, Acidicus?" she asks non plussed while giving him a dead eye star. "Ah, Crooler! I am glad you could make it. I am afraid I have some unfortunate news." He informed the young crocodile royal. "It would seem Pythor has need of me in the Temple. I am to depart immediately." He told her casually. "That is… rather unfortunate, you have any idea as to why?" she asks him curiously. "Something about a new recruit for my practices. A pity, I was near a breakthrough!" the elderly snake informed her. "Just what have you been working on anyway?" she asks him demandable. With a soft laugh, he used her over next to him, "You are familiar with the effect of the Persuader Plant, correct!" he asks her in a knowing tone. "Of course, it's spores can make someone do what you say. What's that have to do with anything?" she answers in response. "Well, what if I told you that the roots of the plant hold even more power!" he informed her excitedly. "Huh, like what!" she demands. "Like showing one a vision of what they truly desire, their destiny!" he tells her with vigor. Awestruck, Crooler asks, "What do you plan to do with it?" Looking straight at her he slowly begins to speak, "I have become disillusioned with Pythor's methods. He is no longer the tactical mind I sworn allegiance to, has become unfocused, unreliable! The others have realized this as well, yet we are unable to do much about it. So long as he holds the staff of the Anacondrai, he holds command over the most powerful army in the realm. We would be no match for them, but if we could control his actions, remind him of his vision, perhaps we could still have a chance to live here! As it stands, I fear that it will only be a matter of time before we all go to ruin." He finished; his gaze intensely laid upon her.

Outside, covered by the shadows, Cragger listened with great interest. "So, the snakes are having a little leadership problem. I must tell Laval; this could be just what we were waiting for!" he says as he tries to slink away. Unfortunately for him, he bumps into a familiar someone on his way out.

Back in the library, Acidicus gives his regards to Crooler once again. "My temporary replacement should be her shortly I believe you have met." He says before preparing to leave. "We have!" a voice calls from the doorway, as slithering from the shadows appears the familiar shape of Skales, "And I come bearing gifts!" he says as he drags someone from behind, a writhing and struggling Cragger! "I found him just outside this room, no doubt scheming something against you!" he says as he tosses him in front on his knees. "Crooer! I can explain!" he tries to say after regaining his senses. "Silence! What do you think you're doing in my domain?!" she demands, her eyes a mix of fury and confusion. "YOUR DOMAIN! Do I have to remind you that you STOLE it from me!" Cragger yells out in indignation, before taking a deep breath. "Forget it! Look Crooler it's still not too late! We can still fix this together!" he pleads to his sister. "Fix this? There is nothing to fix! Things are finally perfect, especially with you out of the picture!" she says with malice. "We both know that's not true! Have you looked outside? The kingdom is falling apart, our people live in fear! You know this isn't right!" Cragger tells her, attempting to appeal to her better half. For his part, she seems genuinely hurt by the statements, as she tried to figure a response, "T…Th… That's just a transitional phase! They'll learn to live under the new changes, they must, or I will force them!" she said with resolve. "And then what! You sit atop the throne all alone as your people hate you, is that what you think our parents wanted!" he spat at her furiously. "OUR parents never cared about me! I'll do what I want from now on, not what they want! Take him away!" she responded enraged, tears forming in the corner of her eyes. "Crooler! You're better than this!" he says as the serpentine approaches him.

Slithering next to her, Acidicus speaks, "Now, now, Crooler. Let us not be so hasty, I believe we still have some use for your brother!" he says as he reaches for a piece of root. "What are you planning?" she asks with concern as he approaches her brother. "Every successful experiment needs some testing." He says as he picks up a candle and burns some of the root at him. Coughing as the smoke blows towards him, Cragger begins to lose consciousness, "What's happening to me? I feel so... strong! So, powerful! So elegant! I feel like... like I can rule all of Chima!" he mutters as his eyes glow red for a moment. "NO, no! That's not who I am! I refuse this… I refuse this destiny!" he yells as he opens his eyes, reeling in from the intense headache. "What did you do?" he struggles to ask. "Huh, interesting. It seems that a strong will can clear the effects, doe judging by his exhaustion, it is quite taxing on the body. Interesting, but not a detriment!" Acidicus finishes with his assessment. "In the meantime, I believe there is something more you can do for us! Tell us the location of the others!" the green snake demands from the prisoner. "I… I won't tell you… ANYTHING!" he struggles to say, as he looks him in the eye. "Oh, foolish little Cragger, you don't have a choice!" interjects Skales, his eyes glowing as he stares deep into the crocodile's eyes. "No, no, noooo!" he yells as his mind goes blank.

Dusk had fallen on the Lion Encampment, as Lagravis prepares for the meeting between tribes. Having sent letters to all the remaining tribes a day earlier, they had finally responded, a member of each tribe would go to this meeting and talk about joining forces against the serpentine. He knew the risk, especially if things went wrong, but he hoped the hatred for the snakes was greater than their personal biases. As he was making the final preparations, Laval walked into the tent. "Hey Dad, I still haven't found Cragger. I'm starting to get worried!" he says as walks over to him. "Hmm, that is strange, perhaps I shall help you look for him, after all, he is an important part of this." He says, referring to the meeting and the possible rebellion against the serpentine. "Plus, he's my best friend!" Laval says with concern. "Yes, I know. Come know, we have to make sure he's all right. The serpentine have been getting more bold, we can afford to risk them getting to him!" Lagravis informs his son as they prepared to search.

However, at that very moment, Cragger chose to reveal himself. "Well, I'm glad you think I'm so valuable Lagravis." he says as he walks into the tent. "CRAGGER! Where have you been all day!" Laval cried as he went over to his friend. "I was scouting the area, trying to get an advantage on those snakes!" he said with contempt, and something else. "Now, what was this about a meeting?" he asked curiously. "The meeting with the other tribes, have you forgotten already?" Lagravis said to the young Croc. "Ah, yes that! Sorry, slipped my mind for a second. My mind has been wandering for a while now." he tells them, something odd in his tone. "Well, I'm just glad you're back old friend! Come on, the meeting is about to begin." Laval said as he guided him towards the clearing in which the meeting was. As they got there, they could see Eris and the eagles waiting for them, as well as Crug and Crawley. Waiving at their king, the two crocs walked up to him eagerly, "There you are sir, did you find it!" they asked eagerly. "Found what?" Cragger says as he walks past them. "Hey Eris, how are you holding up?!" Laval asks his friend with concern. Turning softly towards him, she responds, "Well enough I suppose." Placing his hand on her shoulder, Laval offered her a kind smile. "Well, isn't this sweet!" someone says in front of them, turning they see Woriz looking at them with disgust. "Glad you could make it too, Woriz." Laval said, the sarcasm heavy in his voice. Deciding to ignore him, the wolf just went to find a spot to sit away from the others. Time passed as the others started to arrive, representatives from each of the remaining tribes. Gorzan from the gorillas, Rogon from the rhinos, Bladvic from the bears, and Razar from the ravens. Each got off their rides, eager to get this meeting started, and they weren't the only ones.

Deep in the brush, Pythor, the Generals, and his army lay in wait. "I must hand it to you Skales, you actually manage to do something good for once. Now we have all the rebels right where we want them! Soon it will be all over." he says smugly. "Yes, you could say you are well on your way to facing your destiny." He says with a side glance towards Accidicus. Both generals smirked at the success of their plan, now they just needed to strike. "Yes, you could say that I suppose." Pythor replied nonchalantly, "Now enough with pleasantries! Move to your positions and ready to attack!" he orders as they ready for an ambush.

At the meeting place, Lagravis takes center stage, "Welcome everyone! You cannot imagine how glad I am that you could make it here!" he begins, addressing them with confidence. "As I am sure you know, the sole purpose of this meeting is to discuss a way for us to unite against our oppressors and search for peace. For too long we have been divided, and that division has made it possible for the Serpentine to attack. As we speak, they parade around your lands as cruel wardens, ensuring that you fall in place. Keeping a glaring eye for to the smallest opportunity to turn on you, but I don't need to tell you that!" he says as he addresses the group, all watching with intrigue. "By now you have heard of what has befallen both the Crocodiles and the Eagles, heard of how they forcefully took away their homes!" he declares as the others whisper amongst themselves. Rogon took a moment to look sympathetically at Eris, who could only look down in sadness. "Surely you can understand the importance of standing together now, in the name of peace, in the name of CHIMA! "he finishes with a residing cry. Rolling his eyes, Woriz spoke up, "Ugh. I'm only here 'cause my tribe thinks it will help us get chi." Lagravis couldn't help but glare, fortunately, Laval decided to step in, "Well! We lions plan to start our monthly chi day sharing again IF this peace treaty works out." He tells them. "Well said Laval, now if we could all begin discussing the terms for this treaty," Lagravis states looking at the crowd. "CAN WE HURRY PLEASE?! I'M FEELING VERY! very... tiny, fairy people..." Bladvic said before falling asleep. Surprisingly, Razar agreed, "I'M WITH THE BEAR! HURRY UP! So we stop fighting AND START SHOPPING! Discount coupons for all treaty signers!" he says as he gives out a part of a leaf to everyone. Unamused with their antics, Lagravis spoke, "Very well, let's keep this simple. Who wants peace? Raise a paw or claw!" he said as everyone except Woriz raised their paws/claws. Giving in to the others, the wolf raises his hand with a small, "Whatever." Smiling at this, Lagravis continued, "Okay! Now if one tribe breaks the peace, all others shall stand against that tribe, until peace is restored! Agree, paw or claw?" he asks as once again everyone happily raises their hand, Gorzan lifting the sleeping Bladvic's paw. With one final nod of acknowledgment, Lagravis continues, "The treaty also requires you to respect the chi, respect Chima, and respect each other. Sound good?" everyone happily raises their hands at this. At this, Lagravis smiles before declaring "Very well, if there are no further objections, I declare this treaty….

"I object!" cried a voice from the shadows as Pythor quickly jumps out from the dark.

More and more serpentine quickly followed Pythor, armed and with bared fangs, slowly encircling the gathered tribes. "Did you really think you could hold this little gathering without my knowing!" said the purple serpent with a laugh. "How! How did you find us!" Lagravis cried as he stared his foe in the face. "Let's just say a little croc showed us the way!" he said venomously. With a gasp, they all turned to Cragger, who walked over to them, staring at them with red glowing eyes. "How could you!" Eris began before Laval stopped her. "It's that snake Eris, not Cragger!" he reminded her as he pointed at Skales. "What do you plan to do Pythor! Can you not see the damage that you have caused already!" Lagravis demanded to know, enraged at the vile snake before him. "I will do whatever I choose to do! I am in control of this realm, not you, not anyone else! Just me!" he declared as he choked the old lion with his bare hands. "And you will lead us all to ruin! Now Acidicus!" Skales cried from the sidelines as his partner throws the roots into the fire! "WHAT! What are you doing?!" Pythor asks in a panic as a purple mist appears from the flames. "Saving us all from your incompetence!" the old snake said, "NOW ENJOY YOUR FOG OF DESTINY!" As everyone begins to chi's up and make the sounds of their animal, their projections are carried into the mist.

Inside the fog, Lagravis is the first to speak, "What's happening to us?" Surprisingly, it was Pythor who first replied, "I don't know, but I feel so... strong! So, powerful! So elegant! I feel like… like I could conquer an entire realm!" he says as he flexes in the dream, turning to attack the others. In one last chance to finish things peacefully, Lagravis attempts to reason with the serpent, "Pythor! Listen to me, be reasonable, we can find some common ground, we can find peace!" he says. Scuffing, Pythor merely glares, "Peace?... HA! NEVER! ONLY ONE CAN REMAIN!" he shouts as he charges towards Laval, who puts his guard up.

Eris rushes over to them screaming, "STOP THIS NOW PYTHOR!" before Woriz gets in her way and turns red. "DON'T THINK SO BIRD GIRL!" he says with a deranged look. "WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM WORIZ?!" Eris replies with rage and confusion. "Simple!" uttered the maddened wolf, "I'm just one big bad wolf!" he attacks her but is pushed away. As this is happening, Laval blocks Pythor's staff and pushes him away. But this does little to deter him as he carries on, "THIS IS MY DESTINY!" he declares as he continues with a barrage of attacks. At the same time, Woriz chases Eris and ends up blocking an attack from her, retaliating Woriz strikes back at her. Eris only barely manages to block a strike, turning around she calls for help, "Rogon! A little help please!" Rogon just hops around before stating, "I can't my love! I've just discovered my true destiny!" he says while he huddles into a ball, "I shall become the greatest rock, the world has ever seen" Eris sighs but screams once she sees Woriz's weapon coming for her head, so she dodges. Realizing something Gorzan states, "Dudes! I just realized! My destiny is to spread the love that is needed!" he says as he hops over and hugs Woriz and Eris tightly, "SO BIG HUGS!" Next came Bladvic's turn, "Woah! Look at me!" he says as he laughs and begins to flex. "Full of spunk! Run around, and around! Haha! Can't stop! Watch me go! WEEEE!" he says as he begins to run around uncontrollably. The strangeness only continued, as Razar was affected next, "Strange! I feel like, the richest bird in the world, yes? I like this destiny! And I am so rich, I can afford to give everything away! Take it all!" he says while Bladvic runs past. "ENJOY!" he shouts as he flies after Bladvic. "You! Bear! I give you everything!" he tells him, while the bear just keeps running saying, "Sorry! Can't stop now!" Razar tackles him and they both roll into Rogon, who tells them, "Ow! What are you doing?! No, rock climbing please!" while Razor complains, "Aw! Don't be so selfish!" Bladvic tries to push Rogon, "Hey, move! You're in my way!" he says as he struggles to get out. Woriz manages to get out of Gorzan's grip with Eris and with a loud, "ENOUGH ALREADY!" strikes Gorzan so hard that he gets sent flying. He lands on Bladvic, Razar, and Rogon, then giving them a giant hug while saying, "Love is in the air. Feel the love, brothers!" fortunately they all manage to escape. In the meantime, the battle of Pythor against the lions continued, Lagravis assisting his son in combat. Struggling against the ruthless serpent, Laval tries to reason with him, "Pythor! You have to stop! You can't keep trying to destroy everything around you!" Pythor just spins his staff, "DON'T BLAME ME! IT'S MY DESTINY!" and whacks Laval multiple times but is locked, eventually though he manages to send Laval flying.

Outside the fog, Laval lands atop nobody other than Cragger. The still-controlled crocodile snapped his jaws at him before he jumps out of the way. "Well, well, well, look who decided to join us in the waking world." Sounded a voice from behind him. "Got to give it to you kid! You've been a worthy adversary, but it's over now" says the destiny voice of Skales. "You! I don't know what you're planning, but you will not get away with it!" Laval says defiantly. "Ha,ha,ha, look around kid, we already did!" Skales laughs as he gestures around him. Around him, anyone who had not been affected by the fog was tied up by the remaining serpents. "No." was all he could say. "You had a good run, but your time has come!" the hypnobrai general tells him, before sending Cragger after him. As the croc launched, Laval managed to kick him, the momentum causing something from behind him to fall. The object clattered around his feet, shocking all around. "Is that? It can be! No, no, no!" came the worried sound from the snakes around him, "The Sacred Flute!". Acting fast, Laval grabbed the flute and quickly blew into it, the melody was choppy, but the effect remained. All around the snakes began to double over in pain, many grabbing their ears in an attempt to stop the sound. In front of him, Cragger also doubled over, the glow on his eyes fading away. "Give uss thattt!" the enraged Skales said as he launched at him, Laval barely managing to dodge out of the way. Being severely outnumbered, Laval had no choice, sparing a glance at Cragger and the others he ran. Diving into the brush, he ran away with a promise to free them all, no matter the cause. With the flute by his side, he was prepared to fight.

Inside the fog, Pythor was ready to deliver the finishing blow but is stopped by the sound of the flute. As the fog starts to dissipate, Pythor begins to panic, "NO! NOT NOW! I WAS SO CLOSE TO DESTROYING THEM ALL! STOP!" he begins to scream as he falls from sleep. As everyone jolts up from their slumber, they gasp as they attempt to comprehend what had just happened. "What was that?!" Eris was the first to voice her thoughts, clearly shaken from the experience. Gasping for air, Lagravis answered, "The Fog of Destiny, it is a highly dangerous commune dream, its effects that can last for years. We're lucky, the dream's over! Fog is gone! It wasn't real! You're all fine!" he reassured. "Speak for yourself fur bag," Pythor said from behind as he knocked him out, his eyes still glowing red. "Huh?" the others gasped as they are quickly surrounded by the Serpentine. "I think we all found our TRUE destiny today, don't you?!" the Snake King tells them in a smug tone. Turning at his generals he asks, "Where is the boy?!" he demands in a threatening tone. "He ran away sir…" one of his warriors begins before whispering, "He has the flute!" "Bah! It doesn't matter, soon we will be too powerful to defeat." He says as he moves towards the others. "Make sure you throw them in the deepest, darkest dungeon we have!" he orders his soldiers as he begins the trek home. As they are bound and forced to move, Lagravis takes a moment to look at the horizon, "Son, be safe! We're counting on you!"

Back in the Lion Temple throne room, Pythor sits down before his generals. Cautiously, Acidicus approaches, "So, sir! What is our next move?!" he asks with concern. Chuckling, he answers, "It's all VERY CLEAR TO ME NOW! I SHALL RULE OVER ALL THIS REALM! NO MORE DEALING WITH REBELLIONS, NO MORE HALF-MEASURES! MY RULE SHALL BE ABSOLUTE!" Hearing this, Skales perks up, "Really? You mean... we'll finally crush all those other tribes!" he asks hopefully. "Yes!.. But there is no "we" in this plan! ONLY ME!" he says threatening. Acidicus and Skales exchange a look, as a single thought crosses their mind, "What have we done!"

Far away, Laval overlooked the temple, a place he had once called home. Now he prepares to invade it and rescue his friends, "Don't worry guys, I'm coming!" The future of Chima now rests on his shoulders…

But will he be strong enough to handle it?!
