Not All Heroes Wear Capes
It began with These superpowers that appeared out of nowhere when a baby in China in the town of Qing Qing began to glow.
In the background a man began to freak out as to what was happening.
They are a strange phenomenon that came out of nowhere researchers are still wondering till this day how they came to be but society quickly evolved as more and more quirks appeared around the world wide of what was once thought of as a fantasy had become Reality as 80% of the population gained these superhuman abilities each with their own unique individuality and they were dubbed quirks but not all people used their quirks for the right reasons as back then quirks were used for callus and selfish reasons and so a new system was created to counter these people that were dubbed as villains.
And for those to counter the villains are
HEROES.
They became integral for human society, something that was once thought of as fantasy and all of that happened 100 years ago.
As a boy I wished nothing more than to become a hero but yet you may be wondering of the other 20% well-.
In Japan at Mustafu at a park a child was on the floor crying with three other children looking down on him mockingly, one with slick gray hair and his fingers are somehow stretching, another boy, chubby, with a shaved head and bat wings on his back as he was flying up slight off the ground, and lastly a boy with spiky ash blonde and red eyes, a prideful smirk on his face as if taking a twisted delight on the weeping child's state.
But then someone stood in between the child and three bullies, a boy the same age as the 4 children with green Curly hair and emerald Green eyes. Tears began to gather within those eyes as he was shaking with a hint of fear but yet still stood his ground.
"tch, what Do you think you're doing deku!?, get out of the way" ordered the ash blonde hair in a threatening tone which made the green haired boys flinch under the ash blondes glare but yet he didn't move or back away which seemed to irk the blonde evenfurther.
"n..no Ka-chan t..this isn't right this isn't what a hero would do, it's.. it's what villains would do!"
With what the green haired boy said the two lackys froze as they looked towards the blonde but he didn't shake nor get annoyed but then his prideful smirk grew into an enraged scowl.
"So you don't know your place huh do you deku? well how about I re-educate you for you to remember where you belong" said the boy as he punched his open hand which caused a small explosion to emit from his palm as smoke was left to float into the air.
The green haired boy could only look in fear as the three's shadows over shadowed him as he quivered with him in a weak fighting stance.
After the boy was beaten up small burns and bruises were on his person he could only look up in the sky with a sense of sadness enveloped him as could no longer hold back the tears and cried alone as he began to think why did it have to be him to go through this why him of all people.
-few days ago-
An alarm clock in the shape of a large man with blonde hair in the shape of bunny ears but what was easily more noticeable is the giant smile that can be seen, as he is heard saying "I am! here to wake you up!" on repeat. a small hand went out and reached to the snooze button and the person tiredly rose, they turned to a calendar as their eyes widened in awe and excitement. Why you may ask, it's because.
"It's my birthday!" The little green bean yelled out in excitement as he rushed out his room in a little allmight onesie as he ran to another door as he knocked at it frantically in excitement.
"Mom! Mom! Wake up! It's my birthday!" He ran around like he ate a basket full of candy.
A woman with the same shade of green hair tiredly walks out of the room but yet a soft smile adorned her lips as she saw her son smile widely for today was his 4th birthday
The day that all children would gain a quirk.
"Come on!, let's go to the doctor so we can see what my quirk is!" The green boy was jumping on the ball of his feet as he could barely keep in his excitement as the woman softly chuckled at him.
"Izuku it's 6 in the morning, the hospital doesn't open until 10 a.m." she said as she leaned on the door a bit tiredly and Izuku seemed to notice this and went up to her worriedly.
"Mom? Are you ok? You look tired" he asked her shyly, she smiles kindly at his compassion and kneels to his level.
"I'm ok Izuku, I'm just tired from work is all" she said smiling gently, ruffling his hair lovingly.
"Now why don't we enjoy your birthday? '' She then stood straight and smiled, with Izuku smiling excitedly and nodding his head frantically.
As they enjoy the morning with Inko giving her son an All Might action figure that Izuku, when seeing it, smiles in utter pure joy as his smile was so infectious that Inko couldn't help but smile along with her son.
With then they go to the family computer, Izuku sprints towards the chair and is not able to keep himself sitting still as he bobs his head in excitement, the new action figure of All Might at hand, his mother chuckling at her son's adorable actions as she then goes on the internet and clicks on the play button.
"I don't know how you watch this, it's so scary," she said in a slight nervous tone. The video began to play,
Fire and debris are seen, smoke covering the destruction at the other side of the smoke screen , both police and fire sirens are heard in the background , people in the video are looking on in horror and others in awe at what they saw.
"What the1? Did you see that?! They got over 800 people out of that disaster and it hasn't even been over 10 minutes!" said a guy in amazement and shock but that wasn't all, a red blur passed the camera in incredible speed and leaving behind red rose petals but then people appeared from the red blur and went back to through the smoke screen and another person ran pass the smoke screen as they carry about 10 people on what look like a golden yellow glyph and was carrying three people on his gently laid them on the ground and as he stood with his back straight they noticed that his wardrobe look that of a knight but instead of a helmet he has over is a hoodie and a metal like contraption that covers under half of his face.
He then stabs his sword on the floor and then a bright light from under the civilians they were shocked at the light enveloping them and all the wounds they sustained and the camera looks under their feet as he sees an enormous golden yellow sigil surrounding them and looked further to the center as an insignia of two crescent moons.
"woah! all our wounds healed up completely!?" yelled someone out in amazement, the hooded figure as they noticed scarlet blood red eyes glowing underneath his hood it was almost threatening looking, it sent shivers down peoples spine.
Izuku also couldn't help but slightly shake in fear as the scary stare could be felt even beyond the screen but his smile didn't falter because his favorite part is about to show.
"Hahahaha!" Everyone turned to the direction of where they heard laughing coming from as someone pointed out.
"Is he laughing? Holy hell! what the?" yelled someone in shock as a pile of people were being carried on the back of a big figure.
"Never fear, for I am here" the man yelled out in confidence as a sense of comfort washed over everyone.
A red blur passed by them as it went over them, they all looked up to see a big boulder falling down the blond man, people yelled out the warning but instantly the red blur passed through the boulder, nothing happened, everyone feared for the hero and the people but then.
'Here it is!' Izuku thought in excitement leaning closer to the computer to focus on what's about to happen.
BANG
A shot was heard as then the giant boulder was perfectly cut into 4 pieces, spike like towers with All Might with the injured civilians at the center unharmed, they all see in one of the ledges someone perched on one of the makeshift spike towers a person in red with a big mechanical scythe held behind her upside down her right arm holding the bottom part of the scythe, crouched caring the big weapon with seamlessly unparalleled ease, she like the person that healed them had her hoodie up but had a red cape swaying gently in the wind as rose petals seem to infinitely fall from it with somehow a gentle breeze making them float down gently and a scarlet red blindfold covering her eyes but the sight still seems so weirdly majestic.
But an explosion cut everyone out of their daze and everyone turns to see a tall building began to fall, people screamed in fear but a sonic boom was heard with a strong gust of wind leaving behind its wake everyone covering their eyes but the saw the same man who once held the injured people up in the sky, arm extended to a punch, his smile still shining brightly even in a dire situation but yet one half of the building was still falling towards the civilians people could only look on in fear as the thought of their end being inevitable as sense of despair began to grow ever so heavier and a sense of hopelessness bega to be settled on to the crowd only able to be rooted to the ground do to the overflow of emotion causing them not to reason properly.
Echos of calm steps are heard.
A clasp was heard, the camera man turned to his left and he saw a scarlet red eye looking at him calmly, his grip lightly tightness in comfort and continued to walk calmly forward, one civilian yelled out at the man.
"Hey, what do you think you're doing!? Are you crazy!?"
"Worry not you for you shall be safe you have my word." said the hooded man in confidence but the civilian doubted that because he only saw the guy's quirk is just meant for support.
"And what will you do!? your quirk is only meant for support, not offense and defense!" yelled out at the man in slight indignation.
He glances back at them and lets out a hum.
"That's what you think" he said simply as a glyph glowed under him he raised his arm and snapped his finger in the blink of an eye the whole building was cut into pieces.
"But I am a man of my word, for I never go back on my word," he said with his words holding both conviction and confidence.
As if a full blast of wind was in the room, Izuku can only see in awe and amazement at the declaration of what the man on screen said.
"And I promise to be the greatest hero!" he yelled out in excitement as he stretches out his All Might action figure
But one of the comments say that the two fantasy themed people are super awesome but it's a bummer that they are vigilantes.
-timeskip a few hours later-
"Sorry kid but that's never gonna happen so you should just give up on that dream of yours" said a doctor with goggles bluntly not even showing a slip of sympathy to shattering a child's dreams bluntly and cruelly and young Izuku could only stare blankly at the grimm news that he will hear in this moment of his life when coming to the conclusion of being quirkless.
"Are you absolutely sure that he is quirkless?" she asked the rude man while she really disliked how crude the man spoke shutting her son's dream with little to no remorse but he was a professional in this line of work so she needed to suck it up begrudgingly.
"You see miss midoriya in this X-ray that we took on your son before, it shows the extra toe joint on small toe and-" as the conversation between the doctor and his mother was then tuned out.
- present time-
Izuku can only look up into the sky with footstep closing towards him as a shadow covers and a blond man with sapphire blue looks down at him with worry.
"Hey kid are you ok you seem pretty hurt" the man asked softly in a worried tone, Izuku sat up looking at the man, he looked at him with a worried look but Izuku mustered up a forced smile to not worry the nice man.
"No i'm okay mister thank you for worrying"Izuku said shyly feeling embarrassed with the man not really believing what the boy says.
"Are you sure cause if you need to talk to someone i'm all ears you know" said the man who was kneeling to his level with Izuku looking down to the ground not having the confidence to look at the man but a sense of comfort ran through him as he can sense that he could trust the man in front of him not knowing if he can trust himself in saying anything he slightly nods as they then go to a bench close by with then a hand was felt on top of his head with then a warm sensation ran through him he looks at his hands as a transparent pure white glow surrounds his person and notices that all scrapes and bruises were healed in front of his eyes he was amazed and thought that was the man's quirk he excitedly asked him.
"Is that your quirk mister!? Umm?" asked but then wondered what his name was.
"Oh! how rude of me for not introducing myself. It's Jaune, Jaune Arc nice to meet you" he introduced himself as stretching his arm as a greeting.
"Izuku Midoriya, nice to meet you too " Izuku introduced himself and shook Jaune's hand.
"You don't have to use honorifics, it makes me feel old" he said, waving his hand.
"But aren't you older than me?" he innocently asked, tilting his head.
Causing an anime arrow to hit Jaunes head as he slumps at being called old.
