"We need to find the White Fang!" Blake shouts as she slides open the door to their room.
"What? Blake, what are you talking about?!" Weiss yells in surprise as her thoughts are scattered by the sudden arrival of her teammates.
"No, she's right. They're up to no good." Yang adds, casually walking inside the room behind Blake.
This was the last thing Weiss Schnee expected to encounter at the end of the day. Blake and Yang rushing inside their dorm room baying to look for a terrorist organization.
She just got back from spending the day with Neptune after a training session with Jaune Arc and the next thing she knows her teammates are pulling her into one of their shenanigans again? Unbelievable.
Part of her now wishes she joined Sun in showing Neptune around Vale, but their first visit was supposed to be a club. The same club she went to with Ruby and Yang. The same club that would most likely tarnish her image if the paparazzi found out she went there with boys.
It was different when she went there the first time. It was an emergency to find Blake and they were all girls. If she had to, she could just play it off as girls letting their hair down. It would be different if she went there now together with Neptune and Sun.
No matter how much she wanted to spend more time with Neptune, it was still a risk she was not willing to take. Thus, she stayed in Beacon thinking about the day while waiting for her partner.
"Regardless if she's right or not. Headmaster Ozpin told us not to worry about them. Between the police and the Huntsmen. I'm sure they could handle it."
"Wait, where's Ruby?" Yang asks as she finally enters the room.
"Probably still with Jaune." Weiss scowls back, irritated that her good mood from her time with Neptune just got shattered.
"What?! But it's already dinnertime! What are they even doing?!"
"It's past dinner now actually, but you are correct that it is late which means whatever business you have with the White Fang can wait tomorrow!"
"B-but we need to find them now!"
"Blake, what do you expect to do this time of night? You think you can just walk around Vale and magically find the White Fang."
"Hey, it worked for us the last time Weiss-cream." Yang shrugs, referring to the time an explosion in the docks happened.
"That was different Yang and you know it."
"I could check their old safehouses, they might still be there. They routinely hold regular faction meetings to hand out orders and recruit members." Blake pipes up however, not willing to give up.
"Yes, yes, and maybe they changed their schedules and locations. Regardless, nothing you could do now can't be done tomorrow." Weiss replies exasperatedly with a roll of her eyes.
Before they could agree on a course of action however, the door slides open again to reveal the last thing they expected to see. A tired, swaying, and sweaty Ruby Rose wearing a dopey smile.
Five seconds later, she lets out words that will forever be engraved in Weiss Schnee's mind. As her mind screeches to a halt she thinks to herself: Jaune Arc, what have you done?
What have I done?
That was the thought running through Jaune Arc's mind as he watched the chaos unfold inside Beacon's Forge. The same chaos that unwittingly chased away the other inhabitants of the Forge.
Ruby Rose was running all across the worktables, benches, and tool lockers with her Semblance active. Rose petals scatter everywhere as Jaune barely manages to catch every other word Ruby speaks.
Though there is one thing he keeps managing to catch that has him concerned.
"No, Ruby. We are not going to turn Crocea Mors into a mechashift weapon."
Ruby stops into a halt the moment he said that.
"Awww, why not?!"
"It's an heirloom! It's been with my family for ages. Besides, I think I like the sword. I just need a normal gun for quickshots."
"You sure you don't want to turn Crocea Mors into a mechashift weapon? We could turn him into a sniper rifle! We could be sniper buddies! Can't you see it?! You and me against the forces of evil! Bad guys beware! The Sniper Buddies are here!" Ruby pouts at him first before finishing her words with an exuberant yell that causes him to laugh.
"Positive, Ruby. I don't want to turn Crocea Mors into a mechashift weapon. I want to make a gun however. Now are you telling me my badass best friend can't help me get a gun suited for me if it isn't a sniper rifle?" Jaune chuckles at her before rolling his eyes and smiling challengingly at her.
Ruby lighting up with a megawatt smile aimed at him made him feel good. The hours of work she put him through and the number of parts he had to disassemble and assemble after that washed it away though.
Regardless, at the end of the day Jaune Arc had something new. Something special. Something that puts a grin on his face despite the tiredness.
Harold Mulberry may not be as famous or iconic as Glynda Goodwitch, Peter Port, or Bartholomew Oobleck but he was still an essential staff member of Beacon Academy. Particularly because of his skills in Weapon Crafting and Upkeep.
Yet for all his experience and years teaching in Beacon, he has never seen such chaos grace Beacon's Forge. Being the place used by students and even the faculty themselves to create and modify their weapons, Harold is no stranger to seeing parts and stains scattered across the Forge.
Hours after returning from a faculty meeting to discuss how the visiting students would use their equipment, what Harold came back to truly confounds him.
Rose petals scattered everywhere with slag and numerous parts. Dust rounds, handles, chambers, and barrels litter the numerous worktables usually used by students.
Picking up one of the scattered schematics, Harold looks at just what kind of weapon the students were making to make a mess such as this. What he sees however….was the biggest piece of dogshit. He could neither make heads nor tails of the strange shapes drawn and written in the paper.
Sighing to himself, he begins to clean up the Forge as he resolves to teach the next generation proper care and maintenance. He couldn't help himself but wonder however that whatever the students were making, he hopes it was worth this mess.
Ruby Rose was a mess. With oil, grime, and sweat clinging to her she is undoubtedly a mess. Yet despite that, Ruby Rose could not keep the grin off of her face.
Tired she may be, she and Jaune still made something beautiful. Something awesome. Something an uncultured swine would carelessly label as just a gun. It's just a shame that he has to store it in his weapons locker for now.
"Wanna use it tomorrow?"
Her best friend just knows what to say to make her day better. Her already large grin grows even bigger as they continue to walk to their dorm rooms.
"Yeah, we can go to the shooting range and I could teach you how to use it." She replies slowly with a smile to her equally tired best friend.
"Sounds good, see you tomorrow Rubes." Jaune yawns as they arrive in front of their rooms just after dinnertime.
Ruby just chuckles at her best friend as he opens his own dorm room.
If she was tired then Jaune, someone who crafted or in this case assembled his first gun, was undoubtedly more tired than her. It took them hours to finally get the right combination of parts to suit Jaune's needs. But it was worth it. So so worth it.
Turning to her own door as she thought about that wonderful piece of weaponry, she lazily slides the door open only to find a fretting Yang fussing over her.
"Ruby?! Where have you been?! What happened to you?! What were you doing with Vomit Boy?!"
"We made a…"
"Made a what?"
With her tired mind still thinking about the color of the metal, the feeling of the handle, and the length of the barrel, Ruby Rose says something that is utterly such a Ruby Rose thing to say with a dopey grin.
"We made a baby."
"We made a baby."
The moment she heard those words, Yang was instantly running towards the door. She does not hear the screech, nor the stream of questions following after Ruby's announcement. She was focused entirely on her mission.
She catches a trace of blonde hair right across her just as Team JNPR's room begins to close. Instincts completely controlling her body, she puts a hand on the handle just before it completely closes as her eyes turn red and her hair starts to burn.
Sliding the door open without breaking her stride, she hears a sentence and sees a sight that douses the anger out of her.
"Would you like dinner, a bath, or me?" Pyrrha says coquettishly just as Yang starts opening the door.
Yang's mind blanks out at the scene she just walked into.
From her angle, Jaune was just about to remove his uniform. The main prize however was beyond him.
Pyrrha Nikos, badass woman that she is, was half-sitting and half-laying on two beds pushed against each other with her uniform already half-open.
She sees Pyrrha's bare legs splayed on the bed. Her posture definitely meant to emphasize her enchanting curves as her cleavage peeks out of her uniform. Complete with the sultry smile and half-lidded eyes, Pyrrha Nikos was the model picture of an enchanting woman inviting you for a good time.
Yang gulps just as she notices Pyrrha's eyes widen and Jaune quickly turns his head back to look at her in surprise. The world stops as Yang glimpses something she wasn't supposed to. Something the world could see via the door she just opened. It seems Jaune realizes the exact same thing as his eyes narrow at her.
"Close the damn door!" He barks authoritatively and Yang, still out of her mind and fresh out of her anger, complies immediately.
Thud!
She hears a thud and the sound snaps her out of it however as she realizes a few things about her situation.
One, she has now trapped herself inside JNPR's room with only Jaune and Pyrrha for company.
Two, Jaune's tone, glare, and the fire in his eyes did some things to her. Normally, she would have met Jaune's fire with her own but her body's response to this was anything but normal.
Her face? Rapidly heating up.
Her heart? Beating fast.
Her panties? About to drop.
Suddenly it wasn't so strange to think that Pyrrha saw something she loves in Jaune. Suddenly, it wasn't so strange to think that Blake likes him.
Oh Gods, was this how Blake felt when she was with them? Suddenly, it wasn't so strange to think she was involved in a threesome.
Yang lets out a shaky breath as she unexpectedly gains a bit more understanding of her partner's actions. She tries for a smile and a witty retort or bawdy joke but her mouth dries up as Jaune turns fully to her.
"Yang, what in the world are you doing?" Jaune hisses at her as he completely removes his coat and tie leaving him in his surprisingly form-fitting white long sleeves.
Face starting to blush as her mind is filled with the image of a glaring Jaune removing his clothes in front of her, Yang tries and fails to muster a response. Fortunately for her, she is saved from further embarrassment by a loud pounding on the door.
"Yang?! Jaune?! Open the door!"
Blake. That was Blake. Thank the Gods for Blake. Who knew Vomit Boy could leave her tongue-tied and speechless?
Yang sees Jaune growl before he turns to peek at Pyrrha. Seeing his partner assume a more decent posture with her shirt now buttoned up, Jaune turns to Yang again.
"Open the door, Yang."
Not willing to stay alone here without any reinforcements, Yang opens the door in a hurry only for Blake to painfully slam her into the ground.
"Impatient much, Blakey?" Yang groans at her partner as they both fall to the floor in a tangle of limbs.
"Blake, Yang. As much as I like seeing two women on top of each other, someone better be dying for you to interrupt my alone time with my girlfriend or else." Jaune unexpectedly pipes up at them as he crosses his arms.
Heat returns to her cheeks as Jaune points out the position they landed themselves in.
Fortunately or unfortunately for them, Weiss decides this is the perfect time to enter, leading a tired and dazed Ruby behind her.
"Arc! What have you done?!" Weiss screeches with a red face as she puts Ruby behind her.
"W-what have I done?! What are you doing?!" Jaune flinches back only to retort back after remembering they're the ones who entered his room.
"W-what's happening?" Ruby asks as he looks around all of them.
The sight of her sister finally reminds Yang of the reason why she entered JNPR's room in the first place. Righteous fury fills her again as she pushes both her and Blake back up.
Blood rushing to her head, Yang steps forward to take control of the situation.
"You slept with my sister!"
The White Fang planning something in Vale? Who cares about them? Tukson missing and his bookshop destroyed? Sorry, Tukson, but Blake Belladonna has much more important things to worry about than things from her past.
"You slept with my sister!"
Mainly that. Thank you, Yang for stating it out loud for everybody. Jaune and Ruby making a baby. What?! How?! Why did that even happen?!
Wanting to get to the bottom of it, Blake nods in agreement as she looks at Jaune intently.
"What?!"
"Jaune?!"
"I didn't do it!"
Ruby, Pyrrha, and Jaune yell respectively. They're shocked and confused. Good. They should feel what Blake felt too, because no matter how much she turns the words in her mind, they just refuse to compute.
Yet Blake Belladonna knew one thing for sure, her position was now in danger.
"Ruby said you two made a baby!" Weiss blurts out with a blush as she refuses to look at the only male in the room.
The words send a lance of pain through Blake's heart and damn it, she never should have been shy towards Jaune.
She was Blake Belladonna, daughter of the Chieftain of Menagerie and a badass huntress-in-training in her own right. She should be above these petty obstacles when it comes to relationships.
What was she doing letting the thought of a normal relationship confuse and intimidate her?
Yet because of her complacency, she got the rug pulled out from under her by someone not afraid of her own feelings. Someone not afraid to get what they want. Someone who satisfied Jaune instead of her.
"It was a gun!"
Or maybe not. The words make all of them pause as Ruby Rose screams into the middle of the room.
"Jaune and I made a gun, not a baby!" Ruby clarifies with a blushing face as she refuses to look at any of them.
That got Blake to finally breathe a sigh of relief. Still, Ruby's bashful face is making her nervous. After all, she could see herself sporting a similar expression these past few days. Nothing against her leader, but Blake has no intention of being left out.
"W-well, why didn't you just say so?" Yang asks shakily and Blake vehemently nods as she keeps her eyes on her leader.
"Yang! You know how I call Crescent Rose my baby. It's the same thing!"
"You know it's not the same thing when you just blurt out you and Jaune made a baby!"
"But we did! We made Ar-"
"Stop! Stop, please! Enough of you making babies and whatnot! Can we just forget about all of this misunderstanding and go back to the fact that Blake wants to look for the White Fang again?" A blushing Weiss interrupts, pushing her hands outward to get everyone's attention.
"""What?!"""
Blake winces as her leader, her lover's girlfriend, and her lover yell at her together.
"You're not gonna run away again are you?"
"No, I won't, Ruby."
"You know you could come to us for help right?"
"Yes, Pyrrha. I do and I am."
Reassuring Ruby and Pyrrha was easy, yet it is Jaune's look that makes her concerned.
"Blake, do you really need to look for the White Fang again? I understood last time because you felt it was your duty to confirm they were doing something wrong. But this is different. You are actively looking for trouble." He says with furrowed brows.
"I-" Blake starts only to be interrupted by Weiss' words.
"Thank you! That's what I've been trying to say! We could just leave all of this to the proper authorities." Weiss throws her arms out in exasperation, finally happy that someone is at least being reasonable about this even if it is Jaune Arc.
Yet try as Weiss might to stop this, Blake knows the exact words to sway Jaune.
"Jaune, they attacked Tukson." She mutters sadly at him with a soft look, completely ignoring Weiss' outburst.
Gasps sound out across the room at her words. They all knew the White Fang were up to no good, but to hear someone one of them knew personally was attacked made it more personal.
"Is he okay?" Jaune asks in worry.
"We don't know. We found his bookshop trashed but we couldn't find him." Blake answers back with a shake of her head.
"Then how do you know it's the White Fang? For all you know it could've been hoodlums or gangsters and your friend is just laying low or in the hospital." Weiss brings up good points but the evidence was undeniable.
"Probably because they carved their logo on the door, Weiss. It was the White Fang for sure, trust me." Yang adds in support of her.
Something about that seems to catch Jaune's attention however as he raises a hand to his chin and looks at her.
"Wait, is that normal White Fang behavior?" I would have expected them not to advertise that they were attacking Faunus." Jaune asks in confusion which actually makes Blake pause.
It certainly is strange but….
"The White Fang have been doing things I never thought they would. This is probably just one of them." Blake replies sadly.
"Damn it. Alright, fine. We're going to look for the White Fang." Jaune announces as he pinches the bridge of his nose.
"What?!"
Blake only smiles gratefully at the blonde as Weiss screeches at him. She knew she could count on Jaune to help her. He promised after all. And an Arc never breaks their word.
Regardless if she barged in here for different reasons at first, she at least managed to convince their friends about looking for the White Fang. She could at least call this a success even if Weiss isn't completely on board yet. Yet even her resistance seems to be waning when Ruby starts supporting the motion.
"Come on, Weiss! We could do this together this time! Think of it this way, Team JNPR stole the show last time. It's time for Team RWBY to show them what we're made of!" Ruby shouts enthusiastically at the thought of getting to fight bad guys.
"Of all the irresponsible and dangerous things! You really want to-"
"Oh come on. Lighten up, Weiss-cream. Don't tell me you don't have some pent up stress you want to relieve there? All those classes, training, and detention with Port. Don't you want to do something….different?" Yang finishes with a wag of her eyebrows as she puts an arm over Weiss' shoulders.
That finally gets her to freeze and consider their actions.
"Well, it is our duty as huntresses-in-training to stop evil and keep the peace." Weiss finally concedes with a small nod to their team's whole delight.
"Oh yeah! Team RWBY's going to kick butts!" Ruby yells exuberantly in celebration as she tries her best to gather all of them in a group hug.
"You know it, sister!" Yang assists by pulling her in against her and Weiss, completing the group hug.
Blake allows it only to show her gratitude for having wonderful teammates. Jaune, however, reminds them of something very important.
"Yeah, yeah. You're all awesome huntresses, but that doesn't change the fact that you interrupted my alone time with my girlfriend!" Jaune pipes in, causing all of them to freeze in realization.
"Eep!" Pyrrha squeaks at the reminder of what they were just about to do and hides her face just as Team RWBY turns to look at the both of them.
"A-are you serious right now?! Such indecency! Have you n-!"
"Weiss, I have not made love to my girlfriend for more than a week. I believe I have at least earned the right not to be called indecent or shameless." Jaune cuts Weiss off with a growl, as his words cause all of them to freeze and blush.
"H-how did you even get time alone together? Where's Ren and Nora?" Weiss asks as she slowly backs away while shaking her head back and forth.
"N-Nora's spending time with Penny while Ren is chaperoning them. We've got less than an hour, maybe 30 minutes before they come back." Pyrrha answers for all of them as she finally gathers a bit of confidence after getting caught flat-footed.
Blake sees Jaune's face make a complicated expression at that remark before clapping his hands to catch all of their attention.
"Alright ladies, you heard my lady. We're on limited time so g-"
Blake pipes up before he could finish however. After all, she already decided earlier that she wasn't going to be complacent anymore.
"C-can I join?"
Silence fills the room as all eyes look at her. She knows she's blushing but she stands her ground and refuses to look at anyone else other than Jaune and Pyrrha.
She could see the moment however when Jaune reaches an answer.
"I'm sorry Blake…"
Her heart starts to break at that.
"...I don't think I have it in me to take on the both of you right now. I'll make it up to you, I promise." Jaune finishes wryly and Blake's heart starts to mend together again.
It is only now she notices how tired he is. Tousled hair, slumped shoulders, oil, and grim on his sleeves. He's just as a mess as Ruby was.
Walking forward under everyone's watchful eyes, she puts a hand on his cheek before leaning upwards to give him a quick peck on the lips. That was their first kiss sober and Blake couldn't help the blush overtaking her features.
"I understand. I'll look forward to it." She says with a smile while looking at him softly.
"Does this mean we'll finally have that talk?" Jaune returns back with a smile of his own and half-lidded eyes.
She giggles at that before giving him the best sultry smile she could.
"Oh we're gonna do more than just talk. Trust me." She whispers huskily as their breathes start to mingle.
She sees the surprise come over his eyes but she doesn't let him react for long. Putting both hands behind his neck, she drags him down to a slow, heated kiss. The background fades as their eyes close. It could have lasted for mere seconds, but to Blake, it was something she would remember for a long time.
Their lips separate with a smack and Blake sees Jaune's eyes flutter weakly at her as a dopey grin finds its way on his face. Unable to resist, she purrs as she runs her hands down on his shoulders.
Her eyes find Pyrrha's green orbs behind him and she couldn't stop the smile that shows on her face as the redhead gives her a thumbs up and a beaming smile of her own. Not willing to overstep her boundaries, she steps back before pushing him towards his girlfriend.
"I'll leave you to Pyrrha now." She says with a smile and a wink aimed at the both of them.
"W-what?! Pyr, I-" Jaune staggers confused before turning in a panic only to be silenced by a finger on his lips.
"That was good, Jaune." Pyrrha says to him with a twinkle on her eyes.
"I literally just stood there and got kissed." he chuckles straightforwardly after getting out a sigh of relief.
"I know, and you're gonna do that right now again." Pyrrha replies with a giggle before dragging Jaune into a kiss of their own.
Turning away from them, she freezes for a bit when she sees her whole team looking at her with wide eyes and jaws dropped.
Yang looks like she tried to cover Ruby's eyes from behind her but failed when her sister pulled her hand down. Weiss, meanwhile, keeps shakily looking back and forth between her and the couple making out behind her.
"Come on, ladies. Let's give them some privacy." She states when she sees none of them are moving.
"I-mwah….think I-smack….have a better idea than just kissing." A breathless Jaune and a squeak behind her finally gets everyone moving as her teammates rush outside the door.
The last thing Blake hears as she closes the door behind her are moans and the sound of clothes rustling.
Standing outside the hallway, she sees her teammates stuck looking at her with blushing faces. She can't help it. She smirks at them.
A/N:
Fun fact, Harold Mulberry is actually canon to RWBY who was mention in After The Fall.
Anyways, a relatively short chapter but we've definitely entered the uphill road to one of our minor arcs, mainly the Paladin/White Fang recruitment arc. Stay tuned because we are gonna be going off the rails very soon and accelerate into chaos.
