To Youarethebest.

No chapters has been removed or taken down.

it might be a glitch on fanfictions part.

I have still nine chapters out, and this is number ten.

A short one, but good.

How many it will be in total is undecided, as I am still building up the story towards the fights.

We will learn more about Bleylock and why things came to be as they are.

And Sonnys journey to be the leader we know him as and the bonds he has with his fellow pirates.

Keep reading, as we are nearing some very exciting chapters.

Corso was trying to come up with a good excuse.

Not the easiest task, as Sonny was a sharp observer.

So far, Sonny hadn't exiled anyone, probably to avoid conflict.

There was a first time for everything.

Corso had taken care of the lists of pirates and Technoid convoys for the next week and was heading to Sonny's office.

As usual, he waited, standing at ease while Sonny read through the documents.

As Sonny finished reading, he glanced at Corso.

Corso just kept staring at a point at the wall.

He needed Corso with him today, as he had to visit Bernie, the football coach.

The Galactic Football Cup was fast approaching, and Sonny wanted to make sure his players were at their best.

"I need you to escort me somewhere. I don't think Bernie wants to play nice. " Sonny said, looking at Corso.

Corso looked back at him.

" Bernie has his own ideas on a lot of things. I don't think that's going to work." He said.

That made Sonny give him a long look.

"Do you have experience with him? I need to know what I'm up against." Sonny said.

Bernie is the first football coach the Pirates ever had.

He came up with the idea of a Football Team.

He's kind of attached to his job." Corso said.

Sonny nodded.

"Could he get violent?" He asked.

Corso nodded.

Sonny opened a drawer in a cupboard behind him and took out a taser.

Corso nodded.

About time he thought about safety.

This would be interesting, Corso thought to himself, looking at Sonny.

The drive to the training area did nothing to calm him down.

This might get ugly.

Sonny pushed open the door to the Coach's booth.

" Stop the training session right this instant." Sonny commanded, keeping his voice as neutral as he could muster.

Bernie didn't even look up.

This ticked Sonny off even more.

He pulled Bernie from his chair and pushed him up against the wall.

"When I tell you something, you do it, alright?" Sonny all but snarled at the coach.

Bernie looked annoyed, and gave Sonny a push, forcing him to let go.

"Cut the crap Sonny. There is no one else here to train these boys." Bernie said.

Sonny just looked at him with disbelief.

"Then get fucking better at it. You're bleeding them dry. And that helps no one, not even yourself." Sonny demanded, not backing down.

Bernie looked less than impressed.

"No one got hurt by a little extra work. I should know, coaching was my job even before I became a Pirate." Bernie said from gritted teeth.

Sonny took a step closer.

Corso's hand went to his gun, ready for when things got violent.

"Then you should know you can't just run people ragged. They'll collapse eventually." Sonny explained, hoping he would penetrate the other man's defenses.

Bernie just scoffed at him.

"That type of pansy ass stuff has no place here. I train them to be strong and enduring. They don't have flux, so no real protection for themselves otherwise. And we haven't had any injuries! So, I will stick to my system. Only the real Pirates Leader can stop me, which, may I remind you, you aren't yet." Bernie said.

Sonny was stunned for a moment.

But then, he leapt towards Bernie, smashing him to the ground.

This started a brawl, as Corso stood, also stunned.

"Corso, shoot him!" Sonny yelled furiously.

Corso aimed, but there was too much movement for him to have a clear shot.

He kept his arm steady, waiting for the right moment to shoot the tranquilizer round.

Then, Sonny kicked Bernie off of himself.

Corso aimed and took the shot.

Bernie was almost instantly knocked out.

Sonny got up off the floor and looked at Corso.

"How long will he be out?" He asked.

Corso shrugged.

"Twenty minutes. Tops." He said.

Sonny nodded.

"Hopefully that calms him down." He said.

Corso nodded.

"So, now what?" He asked.

Sonny stopped, then he nodded.

"Have Bernie go on some raids, see how he likes it. If that teaches him humility, he can coach again." He said.

Corso nodded, feeling relieved that this didn't escalate.

"Who'll be his replacement until that's over?" He asked.

"I'll do it myself." Sonny said, as they walked back to The Black Manta.

Corso had his doubts.

This was going to be difficult.
