The one where Ross moves in
Monica Geller stood in the kitchen as Ross spoke to their parents.
"... Yes! I know! She left ME, she said she can't trust me….. I know, huh!" Monica was listening in awe of the conversation Ross had with their mother. If it was her relaying her marital demise Judy would not have the same reaction.
Ross's conversation with the gang about compromise in a relationship had an effect on Monica and it seemed like it affected Chandler too. Her boyfriend. Chandler Bing is her boyfriend. She had to shake off the smile that automatically emerges just by thinking of him. "It's been the worst couple of weeks of my life" Monica threw herself right back to reality when she heard Ross's conversation. "No no, mom, Chandler and Joey will help me…. she's busy with things at the restaurant…. " Monica sighed because she saw in his expression that he regretted he said it immediately. "No mom, she knows nothing is more important than helping your family". Monica looked at him and she felt tense just knowing how much grief her mother will give her. But for the first time it wasn't a feeling of dejection or sadness, she felt strong. She knows it's not going to break her. In their group of friends they are always there for each other.
"Uh…. I was just going to ask Monica for help with which tie to wear with this shirt." Chandler opened the door expecting Monica to be alone. Their eyes met and she couldn't hide her happiness from seeing him. She had bought him that blue shirt that showed off his blue eyes and he had never looked better. The two of them took any opportunity to see each other. That evening in particular Monica said she would be with her staff to make sure it was extra clean in preparation of the health inspection visit the next morning. Chandler has told the friends he had a work dinner with his colleagues.
"Chandler, your tie has to match your shirt, let me show you!" She pushed him out of the apartment and into his own. She smiled as the two of them closed the door behind them. Their arms firmly ran over each other's bodies, she was sure her newest underwear purchase was going to be a success.
Chandler snuck out of the girl's apartment when Monica was up early to prepare for the health inspection visit when he met up with Joey to head over the central perk. Ross was on the journey to get his furniture back from Gunther to Emily's cousin's apartment. So how much should you really compromise for love? Ross's compromise got himself thrown out of his apartment. It got Monica for the first time not to make a big deal about losing two points. As she was in bed next to Chandler she felt the happiest she's felt in a long time.
"How many can you fit in the car?" Ross, Monica, Jack and Judy stood by the family car as they loaded in Ross's moving boxes. The four of them had spent the Sunday together. The amount of boxes that filled apartment 19 was getting unbearable that Jack and Judy decided to help him out with storage. "Are you planning on staying in the city over Thanksgiving?" Jack asked Monica as the four of them sat down to eat after loading the car for the second time that day. As Monica started to explain the friend group's tradition of gathering and having their own Thanksgiving in the city, she got that extra twinkle in her eye.
"Monica looked happy" Jack looked over at his wife before he turned back to the road. "It was something different about her" Judy looked back at Jack. "I'm hoping for the best for her. If only she could get a boyfriend". As the two of them arrived back at the Geller residence and arranged for Ross's boxes. Around a dozen of Monica's old boxes were moved to make room for Ross's. "We will arrange that when Ross picks up his things" Judy said as she closed the garage. "Let's hope it doesn't rain," Jack said as he walked right behind Judy. "Ross's things are more sensitive to rain, it can't happen to his things. I'm sure Monica will be fine if something is happening".
Back in Manhattan Monica had fallen asleep next to Chandler in her bedroom. He was comfortable and confident in having Monica next to him, almost naked that his hand had fallen to a natural place on her waist as he pressed his lips to her naked shoulder as he fell asleep too.
