Chap 165

Gwen gets a pet for her birthday

It was coming up to Gwen's birthday and everyone was getting all the present's ready and a plan was arranged to keep Gwen out of the house on Saturday Skylark agreed to take Gwen out for the day and keep her distracted while everyone else was putting up the present's and decorations so Gwen was walking around the town and as she walked past the pet shop a puppy ran out of the shop and she caught it before it was hit by a car.

Gwen held the puppy close and it licked her in response to her laughing so she said as she went inside the pet shop " Your a little escape artist aren't you little one".

Skylark had seen what had happened so she decided to ask Gwen if she ever had a pet so once Gwen had safely put the puppy back to the owner of the pet shop who thanked her very much so she exited the pet shop and meet Skylark outside so they strolled around the town with everyone listening in so Skylark asked " Gwen did you ever had a pet before may I ask?."

Gwen shook her head and said " I really wanted a pet but my family refused saying that I was at school and they were away working so who will look after the pet be it dog or cat so no I don't have a pet but that little puppy was cute pity I would like a pet for my birthday but it is just a pipe dream Skylark".

She nodded in response so they headed onward while the rest went into the pet shop and bought the puppy naming him Freedom so they headed back to the house and Freedom stayed quiet while they were wrapping up the present's so Freedom stayed in Ripster's room so Gwen would not suspect anything.

The day of the party

Gwen awoke and headed outside for her morning jog which gave everyone else the chance to put the decor and all the party food and present's so Gwen had finished her jog when she discovered some hot springs and decided to have a long soak.

So it was 3pm when she got back and noticed the house was in darkness so as she stepped into the house a light switch was turned and everyone jumped out shouting " Happy birthday Gwen".

Gwen was shocked then she hugged everyone and she opened her present's in which she got some perfume, clothes, music but the best present was her opening a big box and seeing tears running down her as she lifted Freedom from the box and smiled at everyone so they all partied till 1am and then went to bed with Gwen lying in bed with Freedom who was sleeping peacefully she thought " best day ever" before falling asleep as well.
