Aragorn II Elessar: Thanks, and thanks again for the help making this. True, figure I had Barry be the reasonable one. Sweet, hope this one is still good too.

RonaldM40196867: Lol, one that is a better writing and story telling. Hmmmm maybe Vixen tbh, because we don't see a whole lot of her.

Stand with Ward and Queen: Thanks! And true, I plan on Klaus trying to be a bit more reasonable since Barry will have that effect on everyone lol.

Shrbomb: Yeah I know, the following chapter will be longer, not the next one.

So I've made some changes to last chapter as I change a scne when Barry goes through the portal. Instead of just Barry going through it, Kara goes stuck right in. Read the last chapters as it explains it more in depth. This and the next chapter will more or less be the same length, but the following one will get more interesting I can tell you all that. On with the chapter!

Warning: I do not own Flash and The Originals. Fictional events that I make are mine.

Klaus and Barry arrived at St. Louis Cathedral as it is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese and is among the oldest cathedrals in the United States. It is located in the French Quarter of New Orleans.

After much discussion, Klaus believes that Freya is lying, and since Barry had nowhere to go exactly, he decided to just help Klaus in the meantime.

"Just set her there on the ground." Klaus tells him, which Barry does. "I would have dropped her on the ground, but that's just me."

Barry rolled his eyes at the comment. "She's been dead for almost an hour now." Barry commented as he tried to feel a pulse but with no luck. "Can't even get a pulse."

"She'll come back eventually, it just takes time." Kalus said as he sat on a chair.

"You really believe she was telling the truth?" Barry asked.

"Some parts were truthful, but she is hiding something with the way she talks." Klaus explains as Barry sat next to them while they waited.

"So tell, speedster...how did you get your powers?" Klaus asks in curiosity.

Barry just sighs before he explains his story. "I was struck by lightning on the night a particle accelerator went off causing me to not be dosed in a bunch of chemicals, but put me in a coma for nine months." Barry explains. "After I woke up, I use my speed to fight crime and find other meta-humans just like me. Been going for about two years now."

"Interesting." Klaus says as he was surprised to hear that there is a whole world of people with extraordinary abilities. "Are any of them vampires or anything like me and my siblings?"

"No, not really, but we do have a guy who can basically make anyone angry with rage and attack like animals." Barry explains

"I'll have to visit your world and see what they have." Klaus said. "Any other heroes besides you?"

"Yeah, Firestorm, White Canary, Atom, Vixen, Green Arrow-" Barry listed off but was cut off.

"Green Arrow?" Klaus asks with a laugh. "What can he do? He sounds ridiculous."

"He's actually similar to you, surprisingly." Barry said as Klaus looked at him. "Always serious, but more focused on getting the mission done." Barry explains. "He actually trained me to be a hero as he was the first one."

"What powers does he have?" Klaus asked.

"None." Barry answered, shocking Klaus. "He uses his training along with his bow and arrows to fight crime. He fought men that had super strength, magic, and we even had to team up to fight an immortal being and kill him." Barry explains, which made Klaus surprised to hear someone like Green Arrow. "He actually shot me, while training me?"

"Now I find that hard to believe." Kalus said to him.

"Hey, it's true. He had to endure so much pain, that you realize." Barry said sadly before giving Klaus a look. "You know, you and Green Arrow have that same annoying stare look. Maybe you guys should have a competition with that." Barry jokes as Klaus just scoffs at the idea of that.

Right in that moment, Freya woke up, disoriented.

"Ah, you're awake. Clearly your restorative powers are not known for their speed." Klaus said to mock her.

"You dare lay your hands on me?" Freya hissed at him as she got up.

"Hey at least you're alive.'' Barry commented. "At least I know to trust what you have to say now.

"That may be true for Barry here but Immortality is a bold play. I had to make sure you were telling the truth." Klaus replied.

"Why did you bring me here?" She asked him.

"Look, we just wanna make sure you're not a threat or not." Barry explains to her.

"Besides I couldn't very well have you stay at my home. That honor is something I reserve for those I consider family." Klaus answered her with a smirk.

"So you refuse me as your sister?" Freya stated.

"Well, you had a lovely audition. It just didn't seem to be the right fit." Klaus said amused.

"I think Elijah felt otherwise. Rebekah, too." Freya told him.

"Yes, you did a fine job of convincing them with all your melodramatic tales. However, I suspect you were not entirely forthcoming. The truth is, Elijah and Rebekah can be a bit naive when it comes to family relations. Case in point, their unending faith in me! I repay that loyalty by guarding them against treachery they cannot see, and I suspect you are very treacherous indeed. You wish to worm your way into my family- I want to know why. So, sister, I'm going to give you one last chance to tell the full truth. I suggest you don't muck it up." Klaus told her.

Few minutes later, Barry and Freya lit dozens of candles around the room to give them light.

"So talk." Barry said. "What made you hate Dahlia so much? I thought you were allied with her."

"You want to know why I hate Dahlia?" Freya asked, causing Barry and Klaus to be surprised and intrigued by this response. "

"It goes back to a man. His name was Mathias. We knew each other for one perfect year in the early fourteen hundreds." Freya explains.

"Of course. She wanted you to bear her another firstborn." Klaus stated.

"Because of the curse she put on your family, right?" Barry asked. "Could she go after Hope?"

"I doubt Dahlia will get near my daughter." Klaus told him.

"She will." Freya said as they turned back to her. As she continued explaining with tears in her eyes. "I broke my vow and gave into love, and that led to the darkest moment of my life. The day when I tried to steal from Dahlia that which she wanted most."

"And what was that?" Barry asks.

Freya starts to cry and hesitates for a moment, her voice breaking when she eventually speaks. "My son." She reveals.

Flashback

Norway, Kalmar Union, Early 15th Century

Outside Dahlia's cottage, a very pregnant Freya is sobbing as Mathias, who is bleeding from his eyes and nose, starts to cough up blood and fall to his knees, much in the same way that Freya killed Cassie in Sanctuary.

"Mathias only wanted our son to be born free. For that, Dahlia cursed him to death." Freya says with sadness.

Freya, who is kneeling over Mathias' lifeless body and sobbing, looks up to see Dahlia nearby, frowning at her.

"I knew that I'd never be free of her, that my child would be born a slave." Freya continued.

Inside the cottage, Freya desperately searches through dozens of bottles of potions before finding one full of a red liquid and quickly drinks it

"To spare us both the horrors of the life I'd known, I took a bottle of Dahlia's strongest poison." Freya announced to them as she commit suicide.

Klaus could relate to that feeling, as Barry feels bad at what Freya is going through.

Dahlia rushes into the cottage to find Freya has already ingested the poison, and she turns to face her aunt as she begins to sway on her feet.

Dahlia looks at her betrayed at her actions. "I gave you everything! And you dare to take what is mine?"

Freya nods and falls to the floor. Before she "dies," she smiles weakly from the belief that she was finally free.

"I wanted to die, for only death could give me the release I longed for. But Dahlia knew that my death was never an option. That was the day that I learned I could never die." Freya reveals to them.

Some time later, Freya awakens with a gasp in her bed in the cottage, and is both confused and upset when she realizes she is alive. Dahlia, who is sitting at her bedside, starts to check on her.

Freya looks shocked to see that she was alive again as she turns to her aunt. "How could this be? How am I alive?"

Dahlia just sighs in relief at the sight of her niece alive before she speaks. "The spell that sealed our magic sleep guards us from all forms of harm."

Freya stands to her feet and gapes at Dahlia in horror as she sighs dramatically.

Dahlia reveals to her. "But the spell... did not protect everyone." Freya gasps and looks down at her stomach, which is no longer swollen from pregnancy. When she realizes that she lost the baby, she begins to break down in sobs

Freya was hysterical. "My baby!" Her knees give out, and she falls to her bed, where Dahlia takes Freya in her arms.

Dahlia holds one shoulder and places her other hand under Freya's chin. "There, there. There, there." Dahlia lowers her voice to a soothing whisper. "I will forgive you for this... eventually. But, you can never forget- there is no escape from me. Not. Even. Death." She tells her.

Flashback Ends

In the present day, Freya is tearing up again, and looking at Klaus and Barry angrily. The guy looks almost as though they are sympathizing with her. "It was Dahlia who made me do what I did. She turned me into a monster and I will destroy her for it. Tell me, you two- is that the truth you guys wanted to hear?" She asked them with tears streaming down her face.

Klaus and Barry were not expecting this response, Klaus steels himself and forces down his emotions before he addresses her first. Meanwhile Barry realized that he has more in common with Freya than he realized.

"Whether I believe you or not is no matter. You told that tale in order to garner my sympathy..." Klaus hissed at his supposed sister who just stares at him blankly, as though she knew he would react this way but is still exhausted by it. "... thinking the shared plight of a child in danger would bond us. But, I will not be manipulated!" Klaus says in denial.

"Dude! Show some kind of sympathy for her." Barry yells at him as he couldn't believe Klaus could be this heartless.

Klaus scoffs at him. "Don't tell me you actually believe her sad story?" Klaus asks rhetorically. "This has got to be one of her acts. Besides, parents and children die everyday, it's not like we can stop it from happening."

"Still, she would have to be very convincing if she was lying." Barry argues. "Besides, don't you have super hearing to listen to her heartbeat and can tell if she was lying?" Barry asked as Klaus had to admit he did have a point.

"Even still, I refuse to believe her." Klaus told him.

Freya rolls her eyes as she walks toward him. "Whatever you choose, one final truth remains- Dahlia is coming for us. With me, you have a chance to defeat her. Without me, she will take your daughter and make her a slave. She will suffer as I had, never knowing her mother and father because Dahlia will have rendered you into ash." Freya said to him.

"Are you quite finished? If there is to be an alliance between us, it will be one of my design. And if you ever try to control me again, sister, you will spend the rest of your immortal life regretting it." Klaus hissed.

Freya was quite unimpressed with his response. "Then leave. I already have Barry, Elijah, and Rebekah's trust, and I am not going anywhere. But, if I were you, brother, I would rethink your alliances as you go forward." Freya hissed at him.

Klaus sneers at her, but she isn't intimidated by him as Barry glares at the hybrid before Klaus leaves the two.
