Chapter 2:
"A werewolf, I found out, long ago, my mother had a tryst with another man and hid it from the man I called Father, ever since I have found myself hated and loathed by the man I called Father.
I don't know if any of the others know the truth behind this… I do not even know how they would react or even look at me the same way they used to when we were younger.
I find myself grateful to Caroline, for her to save my life and bring me to this village, I'm a little thankful she didn't take me back to my village towards Mikael that would have ended badly.
I had to know the truth from the man in front of me known as Ansel, here I had to learn everything I could from him and help to protect myself. Even protect Caroline who I also sense is a werewolf… I think?"

Hearing the truth shocked Niklaus, he was a werewolf, it explained the immense strength that he felt when he was stronger, such strength that flowed through him when he had taken on the very bandits that nearly killed him and almost took Caroline as a sex slave.
Looking deeply haunted even he could not unhear what he had heard. He then felt a headache taking over his head and he could not rid himself of said headache.
He looked over at Caroline who had felt sorry for him as she said, "Niklaus, I'm so sorry, I'm sorry for this."
"You don't have to be sorry; it wasn't your fault. If I stood by and let them hurt you, it would have been dishonourable." Niklaus said. Caroline smiled and replied, "Thank you though, for everything you did."
Leaning in, Caroline then kissed Niklaus's cheek as he softly smiled replying, "My pleasure, Miss Forbes."

Standing on the sidelines was Ansel who had immediately then said, "I must apologise to you as well Niklaus, you have been away from us for far too long and witnessing everything that has happened, I'm only sorry I wasn't there for you."
"I will forgive you, but for the moment, I'd like to learn how to control this so I don't get out of hand or accidentally kill someone." Klaus replied.
Ansel nodded as he added, "Best you rest now, we will begin when you're stronger."
Niklaus's eyes widened quickly as he remembered, "My siblings, my brothers are going to be out there looking for me, is there any way I can maybe give them a message?"
"If they're out there in the woods… it'll be impossible, night has fallen, you'd only get lost…" Ansel replied. Niklaus then asked, "My father will be there too… if he finds out, he'll burn the forest to the ground and your families will be in great danger if something happens."
"I'll go, I'll be back soon, rest up, please Niklaus." Caroline said. She then left the hut as she took over a horse and raced off to find the Mikaelson Family.
Several hours passed and the night was dark, there was barely anything in sight, Caroline mentally cursed that she didn't have the help of the full moon on her side to assist her plight.
She could only imagine how Niklaus had felt stuck inside the hut itself unable to move, but she too had felt the same when she discovered that her werewolf side had been revealed, with help from Ansel, she was able to transform with care and it still hurt considerably despite it all.
Her heart still fluttered in thought of Niklaus and his charming presence, she soon found herself enjoying his company and eagerly awaited to be once more in his presence.

Soon enough, she had heard chatter ahead as she spotted several men ahead of her arguing as one of them said, "Admit it, brother that we're lost."
"I'm certain that it was this way, I told you we should have left markers, Finn, instead we've now been completely turned around." The second male had said.
The male known as Finn rolled his eyes and replied, "And I told you dearest Elijah… that I was certain to find our way back in the dark."
"Besides if we had left markers down, then either an animal or Kol would have eaten them." Finn added as well. Hearing this Kol had let out an annoyed expression and replied, "That is not nice, Brother."
The horse that Caroline rode on had stepped forward and broken a branch and suddenly, the group of men were alerted as Elijah then called out, "Who's there?"
"Come out and we won't hurt you." Finn said.
Coming into view, the three men instantly drew their swords but lowered them upon seeing a beautiful young woman in front of them as Finn approached and said, "Who are you?"
"My name is Caroline Forbes, are you Elijah?" Caroline asked. The tall darker haired man approached as he said, "I'm Elijah, how do you know my name?"
Caroline sighed a breath of relief as she said, "Niklaus told me to find you, he told me your name…"
"Have you seen him? Do you know where he is?" Kol asked in concern. Caroline nodded adding, "He was attacked at sunset, a group of men and he protected me, but he was wounded, I took him back to my village and cleaned his wound."
"We're grateful for your assistance, Miss Forbes… but I must ask that you take us to our brother so we can take him back to our parents." Finn had said.
Caroline shook her head and replied, "No."
The three men were astounded by the young woman who then said, "I'm sorry, but Niklaus is injured and in no position to be moved, his wound was bad and he has lost blood."
"Please, at least come with me to see him, because he needs you three right now." Caroline pleaded with them.
The three men looked at each other as they had a mental conversation with each other before they turned and said, "Very well, Miss Forbes it would be our best interest to see our brother."
Heading back to the horse, the four then headed back to the village as Caroline brought them to the hut that Niklaus was resting in, Niklaus opened his eyes and saw his brothers in the hut with Caroline as he said, "Finn, 'Lijah and Kol, what are you…?"
"Miss Forbes brought us here… No, father doesn't know we're here…" Elijah had said.
Finn then said, "We were trying to find you, but we ended up getting quite lost and we didn't use our respective heads to find you or find our home."
"Are you alright, Nik, what happened?" Kol asked. Niklaus debated telling them everything but a smile from Caroline reassured him as she nodded to him with a wide smile on her face and her blue eyes twinkled.
Niklaus permitted them to take a seat around the hut as he told them his tale.

"I weighed upon the decisions that I had faced deciding on telling my brothers about my true parentage, but I summoned plenty of confidence in telling them all.
It wasn't very easy, but seeing the very shock on their faces broke them all, hearing how our mother had an affair on our father or their father. But it was difficult for Finn to hear the truth, he was his mother's son and loved her deeply as she trusted him with her secrets.
But this secret was the only one… the only one he never knew about.
Deeply sharing a hug with my brothers, I only wished that Rebekah and Henrik were here to be with us, I promised myself to tell Rebekah and Henrik when I was well-rested and stronger."

Even after Niklaus had told his brothers of his true nature and heritage, they still accepted him as their brother and knew they would have his back regardless.
Caroline had felt her heart soar seeing the complete loyalty of the Mikaelson brothers, she even looked forward to finally meeting Rebekah and the youngest sibling Henrik.
Even she had felt her feelings for Niklaus grow stronger in her heart.
For the first time in her life, she had felt free and couldn't wait for more with the man she finally realised was the love of her life.

Several Months Later
It was autumn, Niklaus and Caroline were standing next to each other and with them was Elijah who stood as a officiant for the ceremony as the pair said each a vow of 'Always and Forever'.
Kol stood beside Niklaus with Henrik and Finn, whilst Caroline stood with Rebekah as they watched the wedding of Caroline and Niklaus happen before their very eyes.
Both Niklaus and Caroline then slid rings onto their fingers before sharing a romantic embrace as Niklaus whispered to her, "I love you."
"I love you too, Nik… you should know that I am with child, your mother told me of this." Caroline whispered to him.
Niklaus could only smile widely as he whispered, "I cannot wait to meet our little one."
"Me too, my love." Caroline whispered to him softly.

Meanwhile, in another time, through a small portal, a young dark-skinned woman kneeled with a tall, olive-skinned brunette with straight hair stood as they asked, "What's going on, why is she helping them?"
"I obviously sent her back way too far, she went back to before they became vampires." The dark-skinned woman had said.
"If she changes the past, what repercussions could there be on the future?" The Brunette asks.
The other woman then replied, "I don't know, I honestly don't know, and there's no way to send a message to her either. I think we may have to consider the possibility that she's trapped and we have no way of contacting her."
