Chapter 6:
"After escaping Southern France barely by the skins of our teeth, Lucien and Tristan were dead, but we found ourselves on the move once again, but with two children by our sides, it wasn't an easy ride considering.
Even as we cloaked Henry and Aphrodite, we still ensured that their magic had been cloaked, we couldn't risk it being used in the open especially since Dahlia was aware of our children, despite that, their werewolf sides came out, together we all experienced our first transformation, we were magnificent in all glory itself.
We continued to remain on the move, Aurora was still alive and looking for us, for Caroline. We had to regather ourselves and remain one step ahead of our enemies.
Our journey took us to Italy, an area known as Tuscany. We loved it there. All of us did, even Caroline loved it, our lives were full, but little did we know, what we were about to witness, it was only going to become even grander."

Tuscany, Italy
1007 A.D.
The view from the glorious villa that was in the Tuscany region was beautiful, even from the canvas of Niklaus Mikaelson, he peacefully adored the view, especially with his wife watching him stroke the paint brush in his hand.
She then said, "It's beautiful."
"I can think of many things better to paint, my love."
Caroline blushed as she replied, "Ever the sweet-talking man you are." "Elijah's been hearing some rumours from the villagers." Niklaus informed his wife.
"Of what?" Caroline asked. Niklaus shrugged his shoulders before replying, "He didn't elaborate, he thought it was of the Vampires. But apparently there's been a rumour of something in the ocean, not far from here."
"Like what, exactly?" Caroline was further puzzled.
Niklaus said, "People rising up from the ocean, making their way to land."
"I haven't heard anything like that, my visions haven't been clear as of late." Caroline confessed.
Niklaus nodded, "But you have been hearing names, one of them was a gentleman named Leonardo." "The other was a man named Mauricio." Caroline replied finishing her husband's thoughts.

Niklaus hugged his wife as he strained his hearing for his children's laughter, but he couldn't hear anything, it was a surprise for him, but then a thought arose to him.
"Where are our children, anyway?" Niklaus asked. Caroline smiled, "Rebekah, Kol, Elijah, and Finn took them into the town to spend time with them. Apparently, there is a witch that Kol had heard off who he wanted to meet dearly."
Niklaus nodded and smiled, "Well, just means we have the whole villa to ourselves until the others come back to terrorise us." "I have a few ideas on how to spend this time." Caroline said with a teasing smirk.
"Then, we shall spend the time we have before they come back." Niklaus said with a widening grin.

Meanwhile, in the town, the other Mikaelson siblings as well as Henry and Aphrodite were strolling through busy streets.
Rebekah and Elijah held onto their niece and nephew as Finn said, "I must say, this is an enjoyable view here today."
"I couldn't agree more with your point. The sun is out shining; the people are in happy moods. I can't think of anything better." Elijah said.
Rebekah nodded with a widening smile, "Perhaps too happier a mood. Wish we could stay in this beautiful region forever." "Can we, Auntie?" Aphrodite smiled up at her only aunt.
"If only we could, my darling angel, but we have all the time in the world, plus there is a beautiful world for us to explore." Rebekah said placing a hand on her niece's cheek.
Kol looked around and saw the nearby monastery as he said, "I think I'll split from here, I'm going to find this witch, I've heard much about." "Be careful, brother. Don't do anything reckless, we don't want to draw Father to us again." Finn said.
Finn then saw something that caught his eye as he added, "In fact, I might actually split from here too. We'll meet up later. I must apologise."
Kol looked on in confusion as he asked, "I best find this witch, I'll see you later."
Kol then took off for the nearby monastery as he walked inside the building itself, he admired the architecture admitting it was better than the huts that he and his family lived in back in the New World.
Walking up to the altar, he then made a sign of the cross, he then knelt down on the cold floor and whispered softly, soon enough, someone came into the monastery as they said, "Sorry I didn't mean to intrude."
The someone was a beautiful woman, she had long wavy black hair, stunning purple eyes and wore a black gown with a white robe, she had quite the hourglass figure as the sound of her heels could be heard across the floor.
Kol stood up and said, "Just saying a few prayers, I didn't imagine to meet someone as beautiful as you here."
"A charmer, I imagine. Must be true what I hear of the vampires." The woman had said blushing. Kol's face paled as he said, "I don't believe I recall…"
"I knew who you were the minute I sensed you. Your power is unique, a witch and a vampire. A hybrid." The woman said.
"Much like someone else, you may have heard off." Kol asked. The woman smiled, "A few, much like Niklaus Mikaelson and Caroline Mikaelson. The original couple."
The woman approached bowing down, offering her hand, and said, "Lady Valerie Di Constanza, you must be…"
"Lord Kol Mikaelson, a pleasure, my lady." Kol bent down and kissed her knuckles lightly.
Valerie nodded and said, "Come, please. I understand that you're in hiding from the hunter named Mikael." "You are remarkably well-informed." Kol said.
The pair went into a hidden chamber within the monastery as Valerie lit the room's candles before preparing a drink for Kol who accepted it gracefully as he took a seat.
"As I said before, I know many things, and I am a gatherer of information, especially when it concerns the balance of nature." Valerie said.

"That's what I've been concerned about, there was a massive shift in balance of nature, I've spent time studying it, and even my sister Caroline has said it's been unclear." Kol said.
"People from the Mediterranean that rose up, I haven't seen them yet, but they speak a dialect that I haven't been able to translate." Valerie said. Kol nodded, "How many are there?"
"13 from what I have seen, I thought I saw more. But I couldn't be certain." Valerie said.
Kol nodded wondering something, soon enough, he heard shouting and screaming as he asked, "What's that?"
"Bandits. They've come through here and rob us, this has happened in the last few months." Valerie said. Kol then asks, "Why haven't you fought back?"
"They've also been looking for witches, they burned a coven house down not far from here, they raped the women, killed the men and children." Valerie says. The pair walk out into the street, they then eye the leading man of the hunting party who speaks in the Italian language.
"Popoli toscani, state certi che oggi non verrete derubati, ma chiediamo solo il vostro servizio."
"They're asking the people for their service, they must be looking for something." Valerie translates. Kol nods, "Or someone."
Kol looks across the way trying to find his brother, sister and his niece and nephew, but the crowd of people blocking his view doesn't make it any easier for him.
"Innanzitutto, negli ultimi due anni, il glorioso popolo italiano è stato attaccato e brutalmente massacrato dai mostri della notte. Offro una ricompensa a chiunque abbia informazioni su questo argomento."
Kol noted one of the words has people panicking in fear and paranoia as he asks, "I gather one of words used was night."
"Yes, it appears the monsters of the night have made it here, you haven't done anything, have you?" Valerie asked with a glare.
Kol shook his head replying, "I haven't killed anyone if that's what you were asking."

From the other side of the town centre, Rebekah and Elijah were holding onto the younger Mikaelsons as Elijah says, "Seems like our myth has spread to here, but who could have been so foolish to do this?"
"Couldn't have been any of us, we've been with the children." Rebekah says.
The leader of the group continues speaking, before something catches Elijah's ear, "Aurora De Martel." Elijah's eyes widen as he says, "I should have known it'd be her."
"This means she's on our trail, hunting for Caroline." Rebekah says.
"Oltre a questo, molti dei miei uomini sono stati torturati da un gruppo di individui che si fanno chiamare La Famiglia, se qualcuno ha informazioni su di loro, me le porterete e vi sarò molto grato per il vostro servizio."
Rebekah looked to Elijah and asked, "Why all the fuss regarding people calling themselves The Family?"
"Perhaps these individuals are dangerous, dangerous to these people. We must find Finn and Kol, they may be in danger." Elijah said.
But speaking of the person, Finn came up to them and said, "There you are."
"Where the hell have you been?" Rebekah hissed. Finn came alongside her and replied, "Found something that may be of interest, you might want to follow me."
Elijah and Rebekah looked on in wonder as they did as Finn asked.
They headed down a side street before they turned into the forest and soon found several individuals staring upon them as Rebekah and Elijah asked, "Well care to explain to us the meaning of this?"
"These are the people who rose from the ocean, years ago. What Caroline and Kol had felt, the shift of nature's balance?"
"This is what it has led us to, these are the people that call themselves La Famiglia. Please, we must listen to them." Finn said.
One of the men walked forward, it was the first man who rose from the ocean several years ago as he said, "Finn, I don't mean to be rude, but we must get to safety."
"Not to worry, Leonardo, we will start to move. In fact, we need to find Kol and this mystery witch of his." Finn said.

"Let's go and find them, come on." Leonardo said. The originals looked on in wonder as Finn said, "He's the leader of this group."
Elijah nodded, "I gathered."
The group all walked back to the village and to the main road, they soon spotted Kol and Lady Valerie Di Constanza who then said, "I gather you found our mystery guests."
"I wasn't aware of you having previous knowledge of them, my dear." Kol said. Valerie sighed replying, "I was helping them. Especially after hearing of their story, I believe they should tell you themselves."
"We look forward to hearing it." Elijah said.
The man named Leonardo walked ahead of them admiring the beautiful blue sky as he became further intrigued by everything as the man next to him said, "This place is beautiful, not like home, eh, Leonardo?"
"It isn't, but there's plenty of trees, roads, lakes, a beautiful sky. So much to explore, don't forget what Father said, Mauricio." Leonardo said. Mauricio chuckled, "Of course… there are brave new frontiers all around us, don't be afraid to explore them."
Mauricio sobered before looking to the smaller children as he said, "To be uprooted from home like that… I don't know how they could have handled it."
"I don't know how we did it either, I hope they're okay." Leonardo said.
Continuing their present route back to the villa itself. They soon arrived back and found both Caroline and Niklaus in the villa garden as they noticed their family coming up the road, and along with many other individuals.
Elijah walked forward with purpose as he then said, "I believe that the answers that Caroline seeks are here, Niklaus. These are the people that Caroline saw in her vision."
"Vision?" Leonardo asked.
Caroline walked towards him as she then asked, "You're the ones I saw, you look eerily familiar."
"How?" Leonardo asked staring at the beautiful blonde.
"Your names, what are they?" Caroline asked.
Leonardo smiled and bowed as he said, "The name's Leonardo, this ugly gentleman is my brother Mauricio."
The brothers then introduced everyone to the Mikaelson Family as Niklaus then asked, "Now that acquaintances have been made, why are you here?"
The brothers looked at their accomplices before turning to the Mikaelsons as they weren't sure what to say in the process.
Another chapter completed, I know that I'm quite frustrating when it comes to updating stories, but rest assured everything will be better, I promise you all this.
