A single figure was seated atop the stairs.
That person was Suzume, her long hair fluttering in the wind.
Sitting on the stairs, she was propping her face up on her palm, looking downward all the while.
Below her there was a large stairway, the second yard, and another stairway. In the second yard, groups who were much more physical were performing different activities as part of club activities.
However, Suzume was directing her gaze beyond them and their actions.
What she was looking at lay beyond all of that. It was a straight path forward in the nature sectors.
In front of the road, paved with resin meant to imitate stone paving, a single boy stood.
The lines of his uniformed, slender figure showed he was Satori Ken.
Suzume looked at his back as he stood there, unmoving. She said this, sighing as she spoke:
"If you don't know what to do, it's fine to go back, Ken-kun. I honestly won't judge you."
Suzume spoke those words, hugging her knee to herself. And after a while, at the place she was looking at, Satori started to move. He would wind around, repeatedly start to sprint with his body slanted forwards, and pole-dance low on a streetlight's pole…
"Heh heh heh, that idiot friend of mine. Just as I thought that the atmosphere was right, you punch it right in the face."
It was just as Satori had pole-danced too much and had started to slowly crawl up the streetlight's pole like a bug.
A voice could be heard from behind Suzume.
"What's Satori-kun doing? Huh? Is that a new type of game? Or should I blow him off it?"
"Heh heh heh. Kako-san. I had heard that you were busy with some material, but what have you honestly come here for?"
"Well, maybe… I'm just enjoying the cold air."
A figure clad in casual wear, a small stack of papers under her arm, sat down to Suzume's right.
The figure fixed her hair, which was slightly mussed.
Suzume frowned at her.
"Heh heh, Kako-san. You can't comb your fingers through your hair unless it's for fashion. Ken-kun honestly does it a lot; but it'll damage your hair, so leave it to me."
As Kako was seated next to her, Suzume combed her hair with a comb she took out from her pocket.
Kako left her hair to be fixed by Suzume as she wished; but she relaxed her face.
"Heh heh."
"What is it? That's really creepy, Kako-san."
"Ah, no, I was reminiscing about how a kind girl in the neighborhood would do this for me."
"A kind girl… Do you happen to live near our Operator?"
"Hehehe," Kako narrowed her eyes as she laughed.
"Well, I've been to lots of places, but I'm probably the most happy here."
"Heh heh, Kako-san. Please don't honestly tell me your life story even after suddenly getting all relaxed and treating me like a kind girl."
"Isn't it fine? Or maybe I should say, for me, this is a day to be celebrated as well."
"Oh, what a coincidence, this is a day of celebration for Ken-kun as well. It would honestly be nice if he wanted to celebrate more tomorrow, though."
Hearing Suzume speak, Kako nodded. She turned her gaze to Suzume.
"You're kind."
"…Wait, don't look this way, the comb won't pass through properly, will it?"
"Sorry, sorry," Kako apologized, but she touched her neck with her empty hand.
"Keep going, keep going…"
Her words were directed to the subject of her gaze, Satori, who stood atop a pole.
Suzume combed the back of her hair.
"Heh heh, will Kako-san be my idiot captain's ally?"
"Whether or not I'll be the idiot captain's ally, I don't know, but I will become Tsukiko Yuki's ally~ Or Suzume, or anybody else's. At the very least, I'm definitely the ally of everyone I like… Ah, but, I will need to fight against Yuki-kun pretty soon; so when it comes to that, you'll have to forgive me, alright?"
"Yes."
Suzume nodded. She stood up to comb the other side of Kako's hair.
"Well I need to be going."
"Oh? You aren't going to watch the rest of the show?"
"Not this time," Suzume said as he swayed a bit. "I need to go to the Tamakoma Branch with my squad today."
Takeshi held his scarf to block the wind moving to his right.
The entirety of Tsukiko Squad, minus their Sniper, had been waiting at the designated meeting spot they agreed on the day prior.
Everything around him had been boring and uninteresting to the point that he had wanted to go home.
The only reason he had decided to stay was because he knew that his captain would be sad if he didn't tag along with them after he had said he would.
Now that most of them had met up, they were all waiting for their final member to make her appearance.
"Senpai, we should just leave before her. She can make her way there without us."
"I would feel bad if she missed out on being with us. The same applies for you and Toby-kun too. We would still wait if it was one of you two."
"I see where I stand here."
"You would not be late. You were actually the first one here, Mei-chan."
"That isn't the point."
"It isn't? Sorry then."
The fact that he knew that was the truth was what made it hard to say anything.
Toby and Suzume would likely complain if he was late, like he was doing now, but they would still stay behind to wait for him.
"Fine. But I refuse to not make fun of her for this."
"I guess that's pretty fair."
At least he could get away with that much.
"By the way… Take, do you happen to know why Toby is so tired today?"
"No clue. Dogs can have different sleeping habits from a person, so I wouldn't know why that's the case."
"I see. Oh, but he isn't a dog."
The way the Attacker was swaying said otherwise, but he held that comment in.
"He will be fine. He can sleep when we get to Tamakoma. And speaking of that…"
Rapid footsteps could be heard moving closer to them.
They had a sort of rhythmic bounce to them, but Takeshi thought nothing of that.
After all, it was still boring.
.
She could see them.
Suuzme ran with a bounce in her step to conserve energy.
Using her Trigger would have gotten her there faster, but it also ran the risk of getting her in trouble.
All the stamina she had built up for dances seemed to have been for dancing and singing, as she felt herself getting tired rather quickly.
But…
"I can see them! I can honestly make it!"
Her captain and Mei were turned away from her, talking to Takeshi or each other. It was hard to tell.
But something she had noticed was the way that Toby was swaying and Takeshi was looking over at her with a dull expression.
They would not let her live this down.
So she ran faster.
With a single bounce, she covered more ground than she previously had.
"And…!"
Using only one foot, she took a light step while maintaining her momentum.
She lightly lifted herself off the ground and took another step.
"There!"
With that second step, she had finally made it.
She could hear clapping and looked back up to see Mei and Yuki were the ones clapping their hands.
The clapping had woken Toby up a bit.
"Good job, Suzume. You made it a total of ten minutes past our meet-up time."
Mei held nothing back.
"Why were you so late, Suzume? We had to wait for you to get heeeeeere!"
"Yell at her or yawn. Don't do both, you mutt. Oh, but yeah, you're pretty slow for someone who uses Lightning."
The double hit of getting scolded alongside the terrible joke had been enough to crush her entirely.
Suzume lowered her body with a sigh.
"Now, now, I'm sure Suzu-chan has a good reason for being late. Besides, it's not like this is the only time we can go to Tamakoma."
"That's true, but you're not always going to be feeling this well either." Mei closed her phone and started walking. "So we better go see them while we can. I want to talk to Shiori-chan about some stuff, so I would like to get there quickly."
Someone let out a sigh as they tried to work on the paperwork before them.
With Sawamura currently doing other things, it left him to take care of the papers before him. They were not too much trouble, but…
Red Sky: "So the idiot took the offer this time?"
Shinoda: "How did you find that one out?"
Red Sky: "Kids I have to teach started gossiping about it."
Shinoda: "You were probably encouraging it."
"Is that what you think?" replied the man on the other side. And he thought about it…
…He is pretty troublesome, but Chishi isn't the type for gossip.
Even if it would have been the right thing to do, Shinoda refused to apologize for his assumption. It just felt wrong to do such when it would end with his loss regardless.
"That should still have been kept a bit of a secret for the time being. At least until we figure out which squad to use for this. With the ones near the top still out and Miwa Squad appearing to have their own troubles, it narrows this down quite a bit."
Megane Director: "Hi, Shinoda! Is it monologuing time!? Are you feeling lonely? You're feeling lonely, aren't you!? I'm feeling lonely too! And now that you know how lonely you are, take a dive into my mental world! Oh, you don't have to send your knee in first or have your weapon at the ready! Look! Like this! Oh, what are you doing here, Sawamura, Age Twenty…een! No, I definitely said thirteen there, not twenty! Besides, the accurate number for mentality would be forty-…ah, what is that bandage wrapped around your elbow for? A lariat can't enter my mental world! You're starting with a reverse horizontal!? Yes, welcome! It's first come first serve and there's just one opening!"
Shinoda would have broken the screen with a horizontal chop if it did not mean getting yelled at by Netsuki. But he still spoke his mind.
Shinoda: "Yeah, he finally agreed. Although there were certain conditions, it still worked out."
Red Sky: "I see. That's good. The idiot was starting to get on my nerves."
Just his words were enough to tell the guy was enjoying this.
This man had a habit of saying everything he wanted and having as much fun as he wanted, just like he was toying with his prey before finishing them off. And at the moment…
Red Sky: "He's still pretty inexperienced though, Masafumi. That's why I'd appreciate you looking out for him some more. Of course I'll do the same for Kei."
"That's fine," agreed Shinoda while smiling. But…
Shinoda: "You said he was inexperienced, Chishi, but isn't he currently mentoring your nephew?"
Red Sky: "This and that are different. My nephew and him are too similar for it to be anyone else. Besides that, there isn't really anyone else I would trust over one of my students to mentor my own nephew. Especially since things are like that."
What was "like that"? The man explained.
Red Sky: "With that idiot Seidō gone, I don't think having his uncle teach him stuff will make him feel any better. But…having someone close who isn't that close nearby… It can support you. That is what I mean."
Shinoda: "And since Yuki is so far away from everyone else, you think it's fine for him to be his mentor."
Red Sky: "Even if it was unavoidable, do you somewhat regret what happened with Seidō?"
Shinoda did not respond.
This man could be very perceptive at times. But then he spoke again as if flipping his emotions around.
Red Sky: "Well I guess that isn't something we should be thinking about right now. Especially since I hear that idiot's squad is going over to Tamakoma today. That should be interesting on its own.
As they walked over to the office, Suzume glanced over at her captain before speaking.
There had been something on her mind while she had run over to them. Besides being late, that is.
"Hey, Captain, I was wondering something."
"Hm?"
"Do you think you can last longer against Reiji-san now? Last time you managed a good while, but you didn't get too many hits in."
"Of course he can! There's no way he would-"
"I'm going to stop you right there."
Suzume nodded at Takeshi's interruption.
No matter how much they liked their captain, there were just some facts that even they could not overlook.
This was one of them.
"Even with his Side Effect, Senpai can't beat Reiji-san. He is strong, but it's not like he can beat everyone around him."
"But-"
"Toby-kun."
Even with the tired look he had, the dog still managed to shut his mouth before he said any more.
From behind them, she could hear the smile in her captain's voice.
"Before you joined, I actually did fight against Reiji-san. It was a very quick fight too. I was completely defeated. We may both be All-Rounders, but he can flawlessly switch between Attacker, Gunner and Sniper, meanwhile I usually end up in only one of those categories." Yuki had shifted his backpack from the sound behind them. "In all honesty, he, Tetsu, and Suzu-chan are the people best suited for switching positions on a dime. And Tetsu will likely go for Gunner once he is satisfied with his Sniper position. Against people like that… It would take a good amount of time for me to take them down. There is also the fact my Side Effect doesn't work against people I can't see."
The dog turned his head down and Suzume took a quick picture.
I might as well get some material for later on.
Putting away her phone, she began to speak up on the matter as well.
"Yuki-san is honestly strong, but beating everyone is sort of an impossibility. There isn't anyone in the world who can win every fight they are a part of. Don't go confusing your delusions with reality, mutt."
The way her captain and Mei seemed to freeze up for a moment had been concerning, but the way they went back to normal in the blink of an eye made it hard to tell if it had really happened or not.
However, the message seemed to have gotten through as the dog lowered his shoulders.
"Hm. This is why I honestly like Captain's Rhythm more than all of yours. Mei-san is close, but not there."
"Yes, we know. We aren't to your liking and we really don't care."
The way Takeshi turned to her was also unnerving, but it had been his words that were what got to her.
"It is interesting that you like Yuki-senpai's Rhythm when you yourself have said that he doesn't have a single genre. If I remember correctly, you said that he has a Rhythm that 'changes so constantly that you would never like a person like him'."
"Really? You said that? Hahaha!"
"It was before you joined us."
"Th-that's honestly because I hardly knew him! Now his changing Rhythm is the best melody I can ever hear. It honestly makes stuff like Jin-san, Tachikawa-san, and Kirin sound dull and boring," Suzume said with a dreamy look. "Every time it changes it's honestly like I'm listening to a concert, and I have a front row seat."
"—"
She stopped as a certain sound reached her ears.
Looking over at her teammate, she saw him holding his phone up.
"Hm. This should be fun to watch. Konami beating you up for saying something like that."
"If you honestly don't want a bullet to the head, I suggest you give me that phone right now."
"No, I'm fine."
"Give it here!"
She rushed him and reached out her hand.
The distance between them was nothing to her, so it would be easy to grab the phone and throw him to the ground if she wanted.
But then…
"Mutt."
He threw the phone.
.
Yuki watched as Takeshi tossed his phone to the swaying Toby.
It was a bit concerning that Toby had only barely managed to catch the phone.
That was probably his reflexes letting him catch that. Take should be more careful when Toby's ready to fall asleep.
Regardless of if he was asleep or not, Yuki knew that Toby would be able to move in time to catch the phone.
More than that, he also knew that there would be no way of Suzume reaching the phone now.
She must have realized that too since she made no move against Toby and instead went to glare at him.
"I'm sure Konami would enjoy hearing that. Not to mention the harassment Jin-san will give you for this. I might even show this to Tachikawa-san."
I'm pretty sure Kei-san wouldn't care. If anything, he would be like Jin and just harass her for it.
Hearing them start to go at it again, he faced forward to check their surroundings.
In the distance he could make out the building belonging to the Tamakoma Branch.
He looked between his arguing teammate before taking a glance at Mei.
She shrugged her shoulders as if to say, "Just leave them be until we get there."
.
The distance to the Tamakoma Branch quickly became nothing as they walked up to the door.
Suzume had brought herself to stop arguing with Takeshi, but she continued to eye his phone.
No matter if she was done fighting for the moment, there were still consequences for his actions.
"Fine then. Let's honestly see if anyone is home. Yeah. Because what's the point in caring if any of them hear that. Jin-san will get a punch to the face for harassment and Kirin can't do anything to me!"
Yuki only sent an amused look over to Mei.
"I don't think any of us actually believe that."
"Just let her have this. She doesn't like being told otherwise after all."
He nodded as Suzume knocked on the door.
Small patting could be heard coming from inside.
"Oh, it's you guys."
Yuki took the first action by leaning down and pulled off his backpack.
The child who had opened the door had a helmet on and huffed up towards them.
Knowing the best way to go about this, he pulled out a bar of chocolate from his backpack and held it out as he spoke.
"Hello, Yōtarō-kun. Could you tell us where everyone else is at?"
"They're busy training some newbies."
Another snack had appeared in his hand.
Taking the snack immediately, the child pointed to the inner part of the building.
"Thank you."
Taking off his backpack completely, he pulled out three more chocolate bars and a can.
"Here you go. The chocolate is for you and the stuff in the can is for Raijinmaru."
"And this is why you're my favorite."
"Thank you," Yuki said with a laugh.
He heard a huff as the child went back into the deeper part of the building.
He looked up to see Suzume walking forward while giving her hair a flip.
.
"Well then… Let's go honestly see these newbies are. If they're training with Kirin and Torimaru, they should be getting their asses handed to them right about now."
"I wonder who they are though. Maybe the guy with Yūichi yesterdaaaay."
"We really should get you to bed."
"No no no! I'm fine! Seriously!"
The yawn that came after was not convincing at all.
But that had not been what Suzume found herself focusing on here.
"I would think he is one of them. If I had to guess, I would say the boy I saw with Mikumo-kun and Jin-san the other day is also one of them. The way he held himself is not something you see in someone that young."
"Was it anything like Shun or Futaba then?"
"No, not really. It felt like he had more proper battle experience than those two. I would say more that it was like Shobu when I had first met him."
"For you to compare those two… I'm a bit interested to know who this person is then."
To be compared to Yuki's personal student was not something to overlook.
Feeling her pace start to speed up, Suzume began bouncing with each one.
They all knew their way around the branch office and needed no help in figuring out where everyone else would be.
The close they got, the easier it was for her to hear voices.
And then...
"Konami-senpai, you lost!?"
"I-I did not!"
"We fought ten times, and I only won the last one. Final score: 9:1."
"That's right! I'm way better than you!"
"For now. But I'm getting the hang of how you fight. I'll do better next time, Konami-senpai."
"Don't let it go to your head, Yūma. That was the first and last win."
As if the world had crashed around her, Suzume took three more light steps to reach the voices.
With a solid sound, she entered the room.
.
"Kirin lost!?"
The first reaction from everyone in the room was to turn their heads to the source of the voice.
The second…
"Crap!"
Was Konami turning around in order to hide behind the Operator's desk.
Too bad for her, Suzume had covered the distance between them in an instant.
Grabbing hold of her shoulders, Suzume began shaking her to the point of her head leaving afterimages.
"You honestly lost!? Was it Torimaru!? Honestly tell me it was Torimaru! I would understand if it was him! It would also make for perfect material if it was true! So please let it be true!"
Her voice echoed through the rapid shaking Konami was giving.
The other members of the Tamakoma Branch only kept their distance so as to not get involved with the girl.
"Suzume-senpai, I think you should stop shaking her."
Losing interest in the shaking girl, the rest of them turned to the new voice.
The remainder of Tsukiko Squad entered the room with greetings.
"Yo, Take," Karasuma said with a wave. "Guess I spoke at the wrong time. I didn't know Misaki was that close."
"It's fine. She is crazy, so I don't doubt she would've found out at some point."
"Good point."
It was a bit unnerving that the two accepted the answer so easily.
"Disregarding that… It is certainly surprising that Konami-chan would manage to lose," Yuki said with a smile.
"I only lost once! It won't happen again."
"Is that so? Just try not to push yourself too hard okay?"
"You do realize how that sounds coming from you, don't you?"
Yuki only nodded as he turned to the others in the room.
Besides the Tamakoma-1 members, there were two other boys there.
The first one was Mikumo with wide eyes.
The other one…
"Hello again, Kuga-kun. I'm assuming you are the one who beat Konami-chan."
.
It was unnerving.
The smile the Tsukiko Squad Captain was giving him felt real, but there was something off-putting about it.
Kuga made sure to keep his own expression from showing it, but whatever was behind that smile continued to eat at him.
"Yup. I only managed one win, though. The rest were losses for me."
"That is still something amazing. You should be proud of that."
"What about me, Yuki-san!? Why don't you say that to me!?"
"Because you are already plenty strong, Konami-chan. There is not much reason to praise someone who is already at your level."
"I-I mean… That's true and all, but…"
His newest mentor was certainly something. That had been the first thing Kuga found out from the very first meeting. She would be fun to mess with.
But for now, there were the people around him.
One of those people included the strange girl who was now staring at him.
She's different from the rest of them. Instead of trying to figure me out, it feels like she already came to a conclusion.
In that case, what does she think exactly?
Even if they were in real bodies, it had been kind of amazing that the girl had managed to cover the distance to reach for Konami.
Let's see what happens.
"Hello there. I'm Kuga Yūma. The one who got a win on Konami-senpai."
"Misaki Suzumebachi. Tsukiko Squad Sniper."
The way she dismissed him while turning her head would have been insulting if not for what he had already seen from her.
"This kid is different. His Rhythm isn't like Midorikawa or Futaba-chan. Yuki-san was right in what he had said. I can honestly see how Kirin managed to lose once to him."
"Oh? What do you mean by that?"
"Heh heh heh. I wonder what I mean."
The girl smiled down at him as she held her bust up with her crossed arms.
It was an honest act, so he thought nothing of it.
"Do you feel like you can reach the summit, Kuga?"
"The summit?"
What was she talking about?
The mountains were far away and it felt pointless to recreate any with the training room system.
The sigh he heard next had brought his attention over to the Tsukiko Squad Captain.
"Suzu-chan, no. If you want to test him then do it properly. Doing your summit dance would be unfair and a bad way to test someone."
"If he can't even get through that, what's really the point of training him at all?"
"Suzu-chan, I can't get past your summit dance. And as far as I remember, Karasuma-kun and Konami-chan also have some difficulty with that too."
That came as a surprise.
Even if it was to talk up the girl, those words still hit the moment he looked over to see the two Tamakoma seniors nod and look away.
Now I'm interested in knowing what that is. Is it an actual dance? But who would dance during a fight? Then again…there have been some weird people before who do weird things. And this girl really does seem weird.
But if she had something that everyone found difficult to deal with then he wanted to see it for himself.
"If you want to test me, I'm fine with it," he said with a raised hand.
The girl looked down at him with a smile. It was the type of expression he had seen on those who wanted nothing more than to play around.
But before she could agree, someone had stepped between them.
"Before we have any of that, how about I properly introduce my squad?"
It was the Tsukiko Squad Captain.
.
Suzume huffed as she made her way to stand next to her squad.
From the spot near the wall, Yuki moved to take his backpack off again.
"Um, first. Shiori-chan, is there somewhere Toby-kun could get some rest?"
"I-iiiiiiiit's fine, Yuki! I don't realllllly-"
"Foolish mutt. Take our captain's kindness and go to sleep before I knock you out myself."
The growl the dog gave her was waved off with a hand.
He was only wasting time by being stubborn.
"Right, come on, Toby-kun! You can sleep over here."
"Sorry about this…"
"No need to apologize."
Sometimes it was a wonder how people could be nice to the overly active boy.
But that had nothing to do with her.
Instead, she focused back on what her captain was saying as he handed out snacks to everyone.
"Mikumo-kun, you have seen them already, but this will be a proper introduction. And Kuga-kun, this will be a first for you. Although she did it in a rather rude way, Suzu-chan had just introduced herself. She is the Sniper of our squad. The boy who just left is our Attacker - Aw… Ahem. Toby Awdry. He is a foreigner, so think nothing of his name. The one with the scarf who is currently thinking up nasty things with Karasuma-kun is Kotowari Takeshi - our Shooter. And finally, our Operator."
"Takato Mei. A pleasure to meet you both."
It was a bit annoying that they were being introduced like children, but saying anything against it would have only gotten her in more trouble.
So she only turned away instead.
"Likewise. Oh, and there is a third member for us. Amatori Chika. She's training as a Sniper right now. We were just taking a break right now."
"I see. I guess we can meet her later then."
"So what brings you here?" Karasuma asked after stopping his whispering with Takeshi.
Her captain only smiled as he handed Karasuma his own snack.
The fact it was a break must have made them realize how much they wanted this as they all moved to eat right away.
"We came here-"
"Because the mutt wanted to propose to Konami." Takeshi had cut off her captain, but she found this too amusing to reprimand him for it. "He even bought a ring."
"Wh-what!? Really!?"
It's kind of dangerous to honestly believe those two, Kirin, she thought.
And then…
"That was a lie."
"…Huh?"
"I lied."
The reaction was instantaneous.
"You tricked me!"
In a quick movement, Konami had latched onto the glasses boy, beating her fists over his head.
"Heh heh heh. With how terrible you are, anyone would honestly believe you and Torimaru are related."
"But Misaki, he said that you are beautiful," Karasuma said, pointing to the glasses boy.
.
Karasuma found it amusing how the summit flower had quickly latched onto his words.
"But of course! He honestly knows what true beauty is then!"
"I was lying."
"…Huh?"
There it was.
"I lied."
Her reaction was just as quick as Konami's.
"You damn glasses boy! How could you mess with an honest girl like me!?"
"But I didn't do anything!"
There was no remorse for the beaten Osamu.
If they're going to be a part of Border, they need to learn just how terrible their seniors are.
He could remember the times those same terrible seniors had made him the target of their cannibalistic jokes.
"Huh? But I was certain that he had actually said that."
Everyone stopped.
Yeah, that makes sense considering…
Karasuma looked over with everyone else.
.
There it was again.
"Yeah, the last time he saw her. I am positive that he had said, 'she is really beautiful'."
That same feeling as before.
Kuga felt his expression fall while the Tsukiko Squad Captain tilted his head.
His actions and his words did not match up, but there was something about them that seemed to also connect.
"I-I haven't even seen her until yesterday! And that was only a glimpse of her!"
"Then you don't think she is beautiful?"
"No! She is very beautiful!"
Kuga saw it vanish.
There had been a sense that the Tsukiko Squad Captain had been lying, but the truth was also there. The two had been mixing together in a weird way that made it hard to tell what he really meant.
But now that mix was gone.
Only the truth was there now.
What is going on…?
"See? He said that he thinks you are beautiful, Suzu-chan!"
"R-right…"
Even his own teammates seemed confused by what had just happened.
Kuga lowered his expression even more as he watched the Tsukiko Squad Captain smile towards the rest of them.
He is dangerous.
He could start to feel Replica moving up to his ear.
"It looks like he was giving a sort of half truth. Then he twisted things around so that his half truth became the full truth."
That really was dangerous.
"Now that introductions are over with…"
Kuga looked back over to the girl.
She seemed to have finally gotten finished with her waiting.
She turned to him with a sharp eye, but he stood his ground.
"It's about time we had our test."
