It was beginning to wind down. That was clear looking at how many battles had already finished.
Kizaki and Karasuma continued firing as news came to them that two of the four fights outside had just concluded. The new girl who had come from one of their sponsors' families had defeated an autonomous trion soldier while the Miwa Squad duo alongside Hatohara Squad's Köhler had won against one of the Galopoula Neighbors.
Everything was going according to the timeframe set beforehand.
Things had gone off of that at times, but they were aware of one fact that held importance to them.
"Looks like Osamu and the others are making it to the Rank Wars as planned. That's good."
"Yeah. Even a single point is huge for their situation."
Neither one of them stopped firing as Kizaki continued speaking.
They were both slowly moving forward alongside everyone else
"If the match got canceled, it would make catching up even more difficult. Although… If the away ship gets destroyed, that wouldn't even matter anymore."
"Shouldn't be a problem. Besides, if those four can't get it done, no one can."
"I guess you're right. Then we'll do what we need to do here."
Karasuma nodded as someone's name came up before the two of them.
It was from one of the people they were fighting back with.
Mystery Smoker: "Reiji! Kyōsuke! Looks like it's almost over! We're at the last stage! Get ready to go full power and go wild!"
They both responded with their understanding.
But there was one thing that both noticed.
Certain words that stuck out to them.
"'Get ready'? Not yet, Suwa-san?"
They could hear an audible chuckle behind them.
Mystery Smoker: "That's right. Gotta let one of your classmates get her shot in here."
It made sense now.
Karasuma knew exactly who would be assisting them on this battlefield now.
He did not need to even look back to know that she stood atop the roof.
Archer: "I will now be paving the way for you two. Please be prepared to unleash your full power."
A huntress was going to strike down with her full wrath.
Sniper of Senzai Squad—Shingai Ite—nocked two arrows on her favorite bow Trigger, Tauropolos. She aimed not at the ground far below, but at the night sky which shined in the faint moonlight.
A chilly and dry wind shook her hair, and her ears twitched.
It was time.
"With my bow and arrow, I respectfully ask for the assistance of the outer world maintaining knowledge."
The arrows started to shine bewitchingly. Her Trigger's full power wasn't her bow, nor the arrows shot by her bow. Those were both merely the catalysts for it. Her Trigger's full power was the technique itself of nocking and shooting arrows with her bow.
"I offer up this calamity - Tauropolos!"
The two arrows she shot towards the sky pierced through the clouds and disappeared from sight, leaving a glittering trail behind them. This was the starting signal to the two Tamakoma Branch members, the first shot.
…Those arrows were a contract to the Neighbors. The ones who had created Piripiri and Sthénos. They were Neighbors deeply rooted in knowledge. They seek knowledge above all else and have no affiliations with anyone at all.
In compensation for Shingai requesting assistance from them, they sought knowledge. In other words, their current assistance equated to—a knowledge of calamity for the enemy.
A faint light filled the night sky, along with a quiet sound like falling rain. But it wasn't something as simple as a blessed rain. The knowledge seeking Neighbors sought an exchange, and scattered a torrential rain under the name of catastrophe.
Arrows of light rained down incessantly from the sky and trion soldiers were pierced and killed by the arrows one after another. Even the strong and sturdy shields had their defenses smashed apart one after another by the countless arrows.
Watching that dreary scene with an extremely cool expression, Shingai Ite looked over her shoulder and spoke.
"—With this, the beginning of the end move is over. Time to let it all out, Tamakoma."
Karasuma smiled as he saw the rain of arrows.
It was her way of making things easier on the rest of them.
"Thanks for that, Shingai."
"Kyōsuke."
"Right!"
She had made things easier on them and paved a way for them. That meant he could waste it by admiring her work.
The work she viewed as something natural she should do for them.
Shifting his position, he turned his side to properly face the much smaller army.
"Full Arms."
"Geist on."
Electricity crackled around both Tamakoma members as they began to use the full power.
"Gunner Shift."
A new destruction filled the space along the road.
It was not gunfire coming from multiple locations that reached a single point anymore.
The entire attack was a single point reaching out for multiple locations.
Kizaki's Full Arms unleashed a new barrage of rapid-fire attacks that held the same power as the arrows that had rained down just a few seconds ago.
Any attacks toward him were deflected but he shields that hung in front of him. Meanwhile, safe behind those shields, he could continue his onslaught until nothing remained.
As opposed to that, Karasuma held power behind each shot he fired. Each attack made it through to destroy both the shields as well as the bodies in a single shot.
The seemingly never-ending attack but the two of them only seemed to increase further as they marched forward, tearing and destroying all of the Idras that they had only been pushing back until now.
Other agents around them could only watch in amazement.
.
Kuru-ma: "This is incredible! Those trion soldiers are getting completely destroyed! That Tamakoma-1 for you!"
Ninomiya found himself agreeing with the statement.
The rain of arrows had been something to see as well, but what they were witnessing here was not falling behind in the slightest.
Still…
"Tamakoma's secret weapons are indeed devastating, but they consume huge amounts of trion." He looked towards the other distance fighters. "Cover them. Make sure they don't get pushed back when they're out of ammo."
The fight was coming to an end on their front, evident by all of the destroyed trion soldiers.
But anything could happen at a moment's notice, and he knew that. It was just the natural way of things.
"The enemy is moving…?"
Which was why the new information did not surprise him.
"The enemy is advancing without reservation. They seem to be spending all of their trion here and now. We need to deploy the Dogs in front before we get fully pushed back…"
Reghindetz ground his teeth at the news.
He had not fought any of the Miden warriors and yet he was being pushed back by them alongside the trion soldiers they had.
"That's not going to work! Our lines have been broken…! Using Dogs now is just going to be another loss!"
"Then we should have the trion soldiers retreat."
"Man! And what the hell are those Mouri people even doing!? It feels like they are just playing around!"
"Watch what you say there, Reghi. Besides, they are more interested in keeping tabs on 'Mochizuki Chiyome' than anything else. Fighting here is just a secondary thing for them."
"Don't get me started on her! She lost to a single opponent! I thought she was supposed to be a split off from some crazy strong autonomous tiron soldier!"
"That's just what happens when fighting someone strange from Miden, I guess."
They had seen this far ahead of them?
Miden had prepared so far in advance that their fighters had been taken out and they were being pushed back. Even when they outnumbered their opponents, they were still being pushed back.
If that's how's going to be… I'll handle this myself!
He ran.
With command over the remaining Dogs, Reghindetz began to run along the open road and the deserted houses.
With Radar opened at his side, he saw the battlefield and the points where their opponents were. He could see the way they would react to his movement and he would use that to turn things around right here.
He had to.
"Reghi, where are you going? That's Miden's residential area."
"Yeah! That's where I'm headed."
"The captain ordered us not to attack the city…"
"I know that! I'm only trying to make it look like we're targeting the city! If the Dogs spread out and head to the city, Miden's troops will rush to deploy their forces!"
It was natural to think that would be what any fighting force would be concerned with.
Maintaining a fighting force meant to maintain the home of that fighting force. Taking care of one's home and their civilians was a matter that no self respecting world would ignore.
"I'll split them up and crush them when their numbers thin out!"
Nino: "Are they attacking the city now?"
Haru: "Maybe they want to split us up?"
It was always a possibility.
None of them could deny that.
Fried Rice Queen: "I heard at the time of the massive invasion, the enemy used this tactic to send their trion soldiers into the city. Maybe they're doing the same."
WorTri: "Nozomi, that tactic only works if it's near the start of the fight. When you use it during a losing battle then it becomes a desperate strategy that is bound to fail."
Fried Rice Queen: "You're being pretty harsh there, Hikigane-kun. At least give them some credit."
Simple Boy: "I thought that was Captain-san giving them some credit. I suppose I was wrong. I still have a lot to learn it seems."
Decoy: "Daigo, it's best if you just stay out of it…"
Everyone wholeheartedly nodded in agreement.
#5 Mountain: "Either way, Jin didn't see any damage to the city in the future. If anything had changed, he would have told us."
Mystery Smoker: "So they're just bluffing, huh? Then it's okay to ignore them."
Secondary Island: "If the enemy targets the city, I'll transport you there before they can reach it."
Mystery Smoker: "You're pretty handy, aren't you? Just don't go doing that too much or Yuki'll start compiling to you for stealing his shtick."
Nino: "…"
The people around Ninomiya all turned to face the silent man.
Instead of speaking up or even scoffing, he remained silent.
Life: "Alright, who did something to Nino-san!? Go on, raise your hand! We need people to step forward!"
TetsuG: "This is coming from the first idiot who raised their hand."
Fried Rice Queen: "Oh, something major must have happened if even this airhead is refusing to say anything against Yuki-kun. My, my, whatever could it have been?"
Victim: "Kako-chan, try not bring that stuff up here…"
A bitter laugh came from Kako as she prepared more Hound shots.
Mystery Smoker: "Whatever's going on can be made fun of later! For now, let's just tear right through the ones in front of us!"
An overpowering noise filled the side of border to the point that it could be heard over the fight against the mass of Idras.
"Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh! Oooooooooooooohhhhhhh!"
It was the sound of a voice ringing out.
The voice ran through the air, hit the megaphone-like microphone, and came out of the large speaker the size of an advertisement truck.
The sound that came from the large Trigger forcibly pushed back the air and struck the destroyed buildings in front of it.
Those destroyed buildings were pushed aside by the pressure from the attack and cleared a path.
Running outside of that path were two people.
The first was a girl with black hair.
The second was a boy with goggles.
The black haired girl ran on the right of the path and the goggles boy ran on the left side of the path. Both of them had their hearings turned off and communicated telepathically. Even if the pressure from the hits did not hit them, the noise itself would be damaging to them.
Shore: "Hey Eri. I've done practice matches with Shana and Toby a lot and have fought Maya enough times, but I don't really remember ever fighting with or against you. Even during our match, we were on separate parts of the battlefield. Why did you want me to help you over here?"
Eri: "You are the only other one here who has long-range Triggers in your set."
Shore: "I figured as much, but you already know I don't use them for long-range attacks. I mostly use them to set up attacks or when I'm already close to my opponent."
Eri: "That's fine. After all, we aren't going to be the ones to attack her."
Noah raised a brow at this.
He had thought that the two of them were meant to take on this Neighbor while the other two Tsukiko Squad members destroyed the trion soldiers.
That was apparently not the case.
It was hard to tell from where he was running, but he could see faint lights coming from Eri's arm.
Eri: "Even if we have long-range attacks, we can still only get so far when compared to the range of her Trigger. Our job here is to keep her distanced and make her think that we're the ones who are going to fight her. Maya and Shana will be the ones to actually cut her down, once they can get close enough."
The small lights around her were spheres of trion that lined up around her, as if to be fired off like a gun.
But that was not how she would attack.
He had gone back to look at the log of his match against Tsukiko Squad and Kotowari Squad and had seen what she had done at the end.
This was her way of firing free formed Vipers.
Eri: "So just bear with it for now."
.
Green lights flew in multiple arcs as the pressure attack from the large Trigger subsided.
Each arc had differing angles and heights, but each one looked as if it was going to a single place.
Kigisa.
Kigisa grinned as she lifted her microphone. The lights flying towards her were like lights of a performance.
She had not fought too many times before, so she decided not to view this attack as part of a fight. It was all a performance and her audience was just playing a part of it.
Fighting was for strong people who can manage themselves. She was just a weak person who happened to have major compatibility with this Trigger she was using. It was not a matter of who and who could not use it, what mattered was how well someone could use it.
The size of the Trigger as whole had been an issue while some people were unable to grasp just how to use it.
Kigisa had none of that problem.
In Galopoula, she had been an entertainer who gave her all to make sure others would enjoy her performances. Fights were not uncommon, but she had not particularly taken part in any.
That had been why she was unsure as to why she was partaking in this mission. It was even more confusing when she had seen Shi Muon there as well.
I guess we are just that under. To the point of needing us non-combatants to fight.
Shi Muon was a simple girl who enjoyed taking care of things. The only she could provide in a fight was defense. It was the same for her. She was someone who could only entertain others. If she were to be in a fight then she would likely lose right away.
That was why she chose not to think of this like a fight and only like a performance.
This way she would not lose right away and she would at least enjoy herself with something she understood.
"Aaaaaaaaahhhhh! Oooooooh!"
She had been using basic sounds to test what her audience liked. These seemed to enjoy these simple tone changes as they continued to throw lights toward her. Those lights sadly got lost in the sound from her Trigger.
The girl in particular seemed to be pinpointing specific parts to attack with her reloaded Trigger.
The goggles boy seemed to a dancer as he moved easily through the debris she had launched into the air.
There had been two other girls, but she figured that her security had taken care of them since she had not seen them for some time now.
"Let's change it uuuuuuuup!"
She raised her voice for the performance.
A changing tone was nice for a warmup, but she had heard that other performers had already left the stage.
Wen Sō and Koskero had been ones she thought would last longer than this, but they had also left. Now there were only two stages left to perform on.
Her stage was only warming up while the second stage was already being completely used.
"Ru ru ru! Ru ru ru! La la la! Ru ru la!"
Her voice carried into the air and hit the microphone in her hand.
That activated the Trigger's abilities to send out her voice even further in front of her.
The lights that moved through the sky were shot down and shattered midair.
Those lights really add to the atmosphere around here. The fact this is a nighttime performance also makes them shine even more.
And the more they shined, the more she was able to see them.
Let's keep this performance going all throughout the night.
It was not possible, she knew that, but she still had some hope.
Our captain will finish real soon.
That was the time limit for her performance.
.
Noah felt that there was something off with their opponent.
He had seen it with other people before. Especially the ones who enjoyed music.
Suzume was the same, Minubuki was the same, even Fubuki was the same. Jinsei was similar, as was Denji. Even Ikoma was the same as them. It was something they all had in common, but none of them had taken it this far.
But what was "this"? That was what he could not figure out.
It was at the back of his mind, but would not come forward.
Let's see… She's a female like Suzume, Prince and Minu.
But Jinsei, Ikoma and Denji were males.
Let's see… She's loud like Minu and Jinsei at times.
But Fubuki was usually quiet and Suzume only got loud when she was excited.
Let's see… She is moving like a-
That was it.
He had figured it out.
It was a major link between those people and this woman.
Everything had cleared up in an instant.
She's a lunatic!
With that realization, he understood how he should fight here now.
After all, there was only one way to fight a lunatic who was lost in their own world the way this woman was.
Move even more forward!
Looking over at the area and the way Eri was firing her shots, he realized what kind of lunatic this woman was.
She was the same as Suzume and Minubuki.
No, there's still a major thing that sets them all apart from each other.
And that was…
How deep their personal realities are.
The state of mind a person had on reality could change how they did things and the way they interacted with things around them.
Noah's own mind had been average from the start, so his reality was no different from actual reality. The same could be said for Eri.
But people like this lunatic had their own reality sets firmly in place that they refused to get out of it and face what was actually before them.
Suzume and Minubuki were more similar to her in that regard, but the difference was clear. The two girls from Border knew when to face reality instead of stay in their own worlds. Their crazy antics were filled with responsibility for what they had done and what they could do. The two of them would bring their own realities into the outside world, but it would not do anything more than let them have some fun.
This woman was a complete lunatic.
She may not be mentally ill, he couldn't say for sure, but she was clearly someone who refused to see what was right before her.
She was seeing a performance that she needed to continue instead of a fight that could change the future.
It may have been because he was so average that he had been able to notice this.
Eri not being able to see it yet probably had to do with the nature of her squad and the people she would hang around.
Well it's not like the people I hang around are any better.
One of his best friends was a wild animal who had recently turned into a beast while his other best friend was a scythe wilding powerhouse. Compared to those two, he felt very average.
But that was a good thing here.
Shore: "Hey Eri! This woman is a lunatic! Be careful!"
He had meant to warn her about this and tell her about his findings, but he had done it so abruptly that she had sent the next set of Viper off to the side instead of at their opponent.
Eri: "Wh-what are you saying!? Don't just tell me something like that when I'm trying to focus!"
Shore: "Sorry, but you just showed me how we can get through her attacks and move forward!"
Any look he was getting from her was to be ignored for now.
This opponent would not wait for them and they needed to move forward to give Shana and Maya time to work.
So with a new resolve in mind, he accelerated.
.
The sudden warning had been unexpected and had caused her to fire in the wrong direction.
Wasting trion like that could only put them at a disadvantage, but Noah had done so with no issue. Whether he was aware of that or not was still up in the air, but he had accelerated anyway.
What is he doing? And what did he mean by that warning?
8-Skies: "Asano-san, I'm sorry about what Noah-kun just did, but he figured out what to do here."
Instead of the female voices from her squad, she heard the voice of a male.
It was Shor Squad's male Operator.
8-Skies: "To put it in basic terms… Don't fire at her. If you can, try to fire at specific points of her attacks. I just sent the information to Ayugai-san. Good luck."
Was the entirety of Shor Squad like this? Saying things that did not make complete sense and expected her to figure it out.
But that was when she saw it.
What Sora had sent to Kuni.
There were specific points that she would have to fire at while Noah got even closer.
She had never really worked with the boy before, so she did not fully know his movements, but he trusted her with this. The support he had been expecting from her was well within her abilities.
That was why she fired.
Loading up another set of Viper, she began firing at specific points along the battlefield.
With the weak power behind Viper the debris only floated into the air as the next pressurized voice attack came.
Shore: "Sora! Shut off all of my hearing and give me the points of where Eri is going to fire!"
8 Skies: "Understood!"
The two Shor Squad members' names appeared in front of her as she fired her attack.
All of the shots she had just fired moved into the pressurized attack. Each one hit some of the debris, sending it into the air.
The floating debris had been taken by the pressurized attack.
What…?
They had not been destroyed.
The debris was not destroyed by the pressurized attack, but instead, it had been carried by the attack and pushed back.
So the more distance you have to the attack the less effective it is. that makes sense, but this also shows up that it just becomes a blowback attack instead of a smashing one.
The difference between the two had been what made the largest impact on the fight.
So long as they kept a perfect distance, they would not be mashed apart.
But…
"What's he doing!? Urg! What's with you Americans and being completely reckless!?"
If keeping distance from the attack was important here then Eri would gladly say that Noah was a complete idiot.
The reason for that was simple.
He leaped closer to the pressurized attack.
.
Maya and Shana could hear the voice of their teammate even over the loud yelling.
The both of them swung their respective blades at the same time, easily cutting through the remaining Idras not the battlefield.
Neither one had much more than scratches littering their bodies as they turned to the loud noise.
"Looks like No really did something amazing if he got Eri to yell like that."
"Didn't he help Toby get his speed? That guy is actually pretty amazing when it comes to helping others."
"You think so? I guess he was the one to recommend I use Grasshopper like this to me. …Huh. Yeah. Guess he really shows his stuff when he's helping others."
"Unlike you, who can barley help herself once she's stopped~"
"Don't you start with me!"
Both girls continued to look in the direction of the noise as they went on with their banter.
They had been told what to do once they had defeated the trion soldiers. All that needed to be done now was make that plan happen.
"It came from Eri, so I doubted it'll fail."
"Just make sure you don't-"
"Let's go!"
.
What is this…?
What is going on…?
Have they…
Kigisa smiled at what she was seeing.
The lights girl and the dancing boy had just done something amazing.
They brought us to a new stage!
The lights girl had used her lights to raise platforms in the middle of her singing.
The dancing boy then used those platforms to bring his dance to a higher place.
The two of them were adding to her performance in a way she had never seen before.
Lights continued to move through the air as this special dancer moved elegantly around with her voice.
Blade dance! This kid is really using a blade dance! Uwah! I haven't done something like that in so long!
It was all so amazing.
Nothing like this could happen in Galopoula.
Those people did not understand.
They enjoyed what she provided, and her current group seemed to appreciate her enough, but none of them understood.
Everything she did was for their own enjoyment, but they did not understand.
Her voice was a gift she had given them, but they did not understand.
All the movements she made shone brightly, but they did not understand.
But…
"Miden…"
These two understood.
"Miden is so subliiiiiiiiiime!"
She raised her voice louder than she had ever done.
The noise traveled outwards and farther than she could ever remember.
Miden had this kind of effect on her.
It brought out something in her that she had forgotten about.
Everything around her all came together perfectly.
"Heh heh heh."
But something had gone and messed that up.
"Heh heh heh. That woman is honestly pathetic."
Even with all of the sounds in the air, she could hear someone's voice.
Looking out while still letting out her voice, she came to the sight of the large building her captain was currently fighting in.
Atop that building were supposed to be snipers.
But she only saw a single girl.
That girl spoke. Her words seeming to come directly to her and no one else.
"Oh, looks like that woman has noticed me. ...Huh? What? Leave me alone, Narasaka. Can't you see that I'm honestly busy watching the worst performance of my life?"
What?
"That woman should honestly not be trouble for Eri-chan or Noah-kun. After all, she doesn't even understand the basics of a performance."
Those words were terrible.
Those words were directed at Kigisa and her high level performance.
"Huh? Huuuuh? Oh, you don't get it Akane-chan? It's really simple."
How was it simple?
Nothing she was doing a simple, yet that girl atop the building could not even look at her when giving her explanation.
"A performance is supposed to be made at the correct time and place. The audience is supposed to honestly be excited to be around for the performance. No matter the location, the very ground and air should be dancing in celebration. What's more…"
She had even more to say.
"You should never honestly force someone into your performance. If you do so, you will be nothing more than an amateur who is looking for attention. At that point, it would be best to just exit the stage and jump into sewage water!"
She could not hold it back anymore.
That girl had mocked her. She had said untrue things while speaking "honestly". She had done so without even facing Kigisa. She had completely destroyed the enjoyment that Kigisa was feeling during her performance.
So now…
"Just die, you stupid biiiiiiitch!"
She let out her voice with as much power as she could.
.
Eri saw the way their opponent was reacting to something.
There had been nothing around to warrant such a reaction, yet she had begun to quickly get angry.
And that had resulted in this powerful attack.
Honest Sister: "Heh heh heh. I won't be needing any thanks for this opportunity. All I honestly ask is that you all put an end to this terrible performance."
Everything was clear now.
Eri had not heard anything that Suzume had said, but this lunatic had probably heard it all.
She had heard something that had angered her. That had then led her to give this powerful attack.
It had put more pressure on both Noah and Eri herself, but it was a perfect opportunity.
So she did not thank or criticize Suzume for her actions.
Because she had given them a chance here.
Once she saw the wide attack coming, Eri brought up her shield.
But it was not to defend herself.
It was to defend Noah.
Honest Sister: "I've been given permission to help since I got involved. Don't worry about anything now."
Alongside her own shield, multiple shield panels began to form around Noah. They slid through the pressurized attack and formed countless layers of defense.
Each individual panel was weak and shattered easily, but those shattered pieces seemed to only increase the defense even more.
The shattered pieces were pushed back after being hit, placing them in front of the next layer of shield panels. Once those ones shattered, the collective shattered shield panel pieces would then hit the next layer.
This process continued onto the very last layer.
Onto Eri's layer.
The shield she had brought up to block the attack for Noah was begging to crack as the shattered shield panel pieces finally gave out and were unusable.
Seeing that the attack was finally ending along with the last layer, Eri began her next move.
She could see Noah use the last of her shield as a springboard, throwing himself high into the air.
She loaded her Viper.
.
Noah saw it from high up in the air.
He saw the ground, the destruction, the remainder of the attack, the Trigger itself, the one using the Trigger, but more importantly, he saw…
"!"
Maya and Shana.
Using Grasshopper while in the air, he threw himself toward the lunatic woman on the large Trigger.
Kōgetsu was held tightly in his grasp as he pierced through the air. The air resistance he felt had his mind go numb for a moment, but that did not matter. He knew what he was doing even during that time.
Once he got closer to the Trigger, he could see the lunatic woman look up at him, already moving back to dodge his attack.
She moved just like a dancer would.
I've seen enough of Suzume and Minubuki's performances to know how to move!
Using his falling momentum, he began to twist his body starting with his shoulders.
A moment later, he landed.
His initial swing had failed to hit the lunatic woman.
With the new found power starting from his shoulders, he had already begun to spin to the side.
Kōgetsu cut through the air as he reached the lunatic woman.
As for his attack…
.
Kigisa could feel her anger rise even more as she brought out a decagonal blade attached to her arm.
She had to defend.
It was no longer a performance.
She was in a fight.
Her opponent had attacked her and she had defended.
"I was happy here… I guess Miden truly is just terrible."
With a quick motion, she kicked the goggle boy away while gripping her megaphone-like microphone.
Before she could take a breath to activate it, she saw two figures leap towards her from the side of her Trigger.
The two girls from before.
They had not been taken out by the Idras.
"Fine."
Instead of taking a breath, she lifted her megaphone-like microphone even higher.
The cord attached to it wrapped around the leg of the slow moving girl with a scythe. It tightened up as she pulled on the cord.
The girl was sent towards the ground.
With the twin-sword girl now coming at her, she spun the cord attached to the megaphone-like microphone.
The twin-sword girl had jumped into the air so that she could not be caught by the cord.
"It's not fine."
Kigisa lifted her other arm up, towards the girl.
The arm with the decagonal blade.
She fired it.
The decagonal blade flew from her arm and collided with the two swords of the girl still in the air. With her feet not holding onto anything and nothing being behind her, the girl was sent flying.
With her out of the way, the decaonal blade began to retract.
Kigisa began to turn back towards the last girl.
"It's really not fi-!"
Her words were cut off by something hitting her.
.
Kigisa was surprised by the shots that had come from seemingly nowhere.
They tore right through her arm before the decagonal blade could even make it back to her.
Trion began leaking from the severed arm she now had.
Eri could see that her attack had hit.
It was now time for them to finish this fight.
It had been the moment they were waiting for.
The three close-range fighters could even be seen getting up from where they had fell.
But then…
"Huh…?"
She heard something from the advertisement truck-sized Trigger and looked over to see Kigisa, now with a grin on her face.
She may have just lost it.
"Thank you for inviting me tonight! Let's get this one-man outdoor concert on Miden really started! We won't stop until morniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnngggggggggggg!"
A tremendous pressure blasted away the surrounding area near Eri.
The Neighbor grinned as she saw the destruction around the Shooter.
Their eyes met and she winked for some reason.
"Looks like we have someone trying to get to the stage! I've got nothing against that kind of passion! If the fans are that excited, I've gotta start going all out with this soooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggggggggggg!"
"Damn!"
Avoiding an pressurized attack without using her Triggers would be difficult. But as Eri held out her right hand, she spotted something unpleasant out of the corner of his eye: an Idra who managed to escape from Maya and Shana.
Dammit...!
With her eyes opened wide, Eri tried to avoid the trion soldier by lowering her upper body despite knowing it would never work.
And then...
Multiple beams of light blew away the advertisement truck-sized Trigger creating the great noise.
Eri did not understand what had happened.
But since the pressurized attack had disappeared, she focused on the trion soldier. She fired off Viper directly at the trion soldier and blasted it full of holes.
"That was..."
Recognizing the attack, Eri was glad to know that the fight would be finished soon.
"Is this all they've got?"
This agent was not even looking in Eri's direction.
With five green orbs on either side of him, the special Shooter fixed his scarf and spoke to no one in particular.
"When you're using a big Trigger like that it's obvious others will target it before moving on to you. Not to mention you were being so loud that every battlefield could hear your idiotic yelling."
The B-Rank captain did not hesitate to walk right into the center of the commotion. It was as if this did not leave the realm of his everyday life.
The second boy with him gave her a wave.
That second boy then made a single movement. It had only been a single one, but he was already over where her teammates and Noah were.
No way…
Both of these boys had done amazing things as if it was only natural to them.
Meanwhile, the girl who had lost her speakers tossed the megaphone-shaped microphone aside, laughed, and tried to take control of the area with her unamplified voice.
"Ha ha ha. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Thanks for the unexpected adlib request! This is why live performances are so much-...!"
"Shut the hell up."
An explosive noise rang out.
The single Neighbor flew through the air like a part of a joke, body now completely destroyed from the attack.
