Chapter 7: The Lost Cat
Though Jaune is still quite inexperienced, he has been taking training very seriously since the incident with the giant Ursa Grimm. I'd imagine in due time he could become capable of fighting, rather than simply being a leader on the sidelines giving commands to his team like a Pokemon Trainer. However, I believe that he is still lacking quite a...push…
Moon tapped his pen against his chin as he continued adding to the biographies of each Characters in the Demonrift, which, apart from allowing the user to travel between the Clusters of the Multiverse, also contained useful information about important figures of Heroes and Villains from these universes as well. It made for quite a handy tool, even if Erick was usually the one writing in it.
"Hey Moon!" Silently, he cursed to himself as he heard the heavier footsteps of Ruby's sister Yang approach him. Muttering to himself, he closed the book and turned to face the golden-haired powerhouse of Team RWBY. Moon took note of a bit of sweat dripping down the girl's forehead, and the fact that she was still wearing her gauntlets.
"You were training, I take it?" he asked boredly, kind of hoping that he could end this conversation quickly.
"You bet, kicking off the day with a strong Punch."
"Such a shame that you can't punch all your problems away." Moon replied, an increasingly sour tone in his voice. "Or...maybe you could if you hit your head hard enough?"
The girl's expression quickly changed into a mini-glare. "And what is THAT supposed to mean?"
"You're hot headed and rash." Moon replied, rolling his eyes. "I could see many problems that would cause in both you and your team's future if you think that you can go around and parade through Grimm like some sort of anime-protagonist. You can spit, but you can't handle being spat back at. I would've thought our first meeting in the forest would've taught you that."
"Are you really holding a grudge against that?" The increasing anger in the golden-haired girl's voice was starting to become evident. "We didn't know who you were at the time!"
"Oh I don't know," Moon snapped back. "It's not like all I did was make a quick comeback to your shitty joke and YOU thought it'd be a splendid idea to try and attack me, TWICE!" There was some great pride he took in seeing Yang's fist curl up as she seemed to internally debate whether attacking him on school campus was a good idea.
"Would it kill you to be nice for even a second?" Yang asked, through gritted teeth. "How did you even manage to make friends in your own team?"
Moon merely shrugged his shoulders, that was a question that just about everyone here wondered. Quite frankly, recalling back to before he was ever given the order to kill Giygas by Buzz Buzz, he never thought he'd even have friends thanks to Dark Moon.
"I know that you're taught to be kind to everyone and they'll be kind back or some shit," he replied, shaking his hand a little as it started to sting from the pain of Dark Moon. "The world isn't always going to be sunshine and rainbows. As I've been reading up on, and I'm sure you already know, being a Hunter or Huntress is usually a very lonely job since you're out 24/7 protecting the innocent. I would've thought that those factors would be turn offs for many."
"There's more to being a hunter than just protecting others." Yang replied, crossing her arms. "Hunters have to work together as well if assigned on large tasks against numerous Grimm."
"Perhaps, but, it also takes a particular way of thinking. Let's just say...hypothetically, would you be willing to let Ruby die if it's the only way to stop Grimm from destroying an entire village?"
"Would YOU be able to do that to one of your friends?" Yang countered back.
"If such an event were to arise...yes, despite how much it would haunt me to lose another one of my friends, if I can't die myself to save everyone else, but one of them can, then that's just something I have to accept." Moon replied, narrowing his eyes. "You need to think in order to be a protector of the innocent, you can't just rush head first into battle like a bull when it sees the color red. If my friends and I weren't as nice, your attempted attack on me that night would have led to you, and the rest of your team's deaths."
"My team and I will be fine, as long as we work together, nothing can ever stand up to us." Yang blew a bit of hair out her face as her lilac eyes did a piercing glare. One that, normally would be frightening, if he didn't look at Dark Moon's psychotic eyes all the time.
"Don't get all depressed and shit then when you lose a limb to a situation that could've been easily avoided had you thought more quickly."
"I can feel as though our bond with Yang has grown stronger."
Confidant Established: Yang Xaio-Long
Rank 1
Moon shook his head to himself, cursing the idea of having to do this yet again. "Who decided we have confidants?" he muttered, silently pausing for a moment as he caught a reflection of himself through Yang's eyes. "Oh...right..."
As he pulled himself back to reality, he quickly picked up on Yang clearly waiting for a response for something, as she had quite an impatient look on her face. One that reminded him all to fondly of a certain green-haired goddess of light
"I was asking you if you and your friends wanted to come into town with our team." Yang said, after a moment where the two locked eyes in a heated staredown. "Weiss wanted to do something down there."
"Oh...uh...sure." Moon replied
"Alright, what do you want us to do on our day off Weiss?" Ruby asked eagerly as the eight of them made their way down the streets of Vale.
"I say we hit up our local nightclub!" Yang pumped a fist.
"Not gonna happen." Moon replied. "Not only is it the middle of the day, but Sarah and I couldn't just leave Astro unattended in our Dorm." Team RWBY Each looked as Astro popped himself out of Sarah's backpack. It honked its nose as the green bow in its one strand of hair wiggled.
"Buzzkill." Yang muttered.
"Hi ho!" The Mr. Saturn honked, looking at Weiss. "Where we go Pretty Girl? Zoom!"
"Does he come with you to class as well?" Weiss asked, directing her eyes at the creature and giving it a little baby voice.
"No No!" Astro honked. "I stay with Crazy Old Man."
"Astro!" Sarah felt her face flush red as the four girls each snickered.
"Do you have anything else we can do here, then?" Sapphire asked curiously. "Axe Throwing? Hunting? Archery? Maybe a Museum?"
"BOO, boo I say!" Ruby chanted. "Let's do something that doesn't involve training or learning."
"Technically, everything we do involves some type of training and learning, for example, Video Games improve Hand-Eye coordination and Reaction time and…" Erick fell silent as he took notice of banners and streamers hanging from balconies.
"Is there like...a holiday or something going on?" he asked. "Is that why we-" he was cut off as Weiss appeared in front of him, quickly, he looked over, as she had been on the far end of her team while he had been on the opposite end.
"Of course you out of towners wouldn't know about the Vytal Festival!" She said, a lot more perked up and excited than she usually was. "Well, it's a festival held every two years that represents unity in cultures and celebrates peace after the great war and…"
"Can it really be a celebration of peace and unity if the Faunus are still heavily discriminated against in various parts of the world?" Moon deadpanned to her. Only for him to discover that, much like Erick, once Weiss got going, she wasn't stopping for any interruption.
"You tried," Blake whispered to him. "I'll give you that."
"Then there's the tournament and-"
"OH YEAH!" Ruby basically shoved Weiss aside and began her own little rampage. "The four major Elite Hunter Training Schools come together and duke it out! I used to watch them all the time growing up! So much action and fighting, and Explosions! Lots of Explosions."
"Yes, the amount of work that goes into planning is simply-"
"STOP MAKING THIS BORING!" Ruby shouted over Weiss.
"I sure hope we can find out something soon about Salem." Sarah whispered quietly to her increasingly irritated boyfriend. "With all the hype and preparation set into the festival, it'd be a perfect opportunity for a villain to strike."
"Can she hurry her slow ass up then?" Moon muttered quietly. "At the rate we're going, we're gonna be introduced to like 25 additional characters before something actually happens."
"Hey, are we gonna like...you know...move away from these docks?" Sapphire asked, snapping both of them back to reality. "Not trying to be rude, but I don't like the smell around here."
"I brought us here for a reason!" Weiss quite happily pointed out towards the sea, where a bunch of ships were docked in. "Students from Vacuo are arriving by ship today," she placed a hand on her chest as she turned to them, Moon noted with her eyes closed. "As representatives of Beacon, I believe it is our solemn duty to welcome them to our kingdom!"
"That's great and all that you wanted to do some spy work, princess." Moon replied. "However, I think everyone else is a bit...occupied." he jabbed his thumb behind him as Weiss looked to see the remaining 6 people, and Astro were looking at a torn apart Dust Shop.
The ice queen grumbled as the two walked over to their teams, who were listening to two police officers who hadn't taken notice of them.
"So strange…" the one officer said to his partner. "Robbing the Dust Store, but leaving the cash? It just doesn't make any sense?"
"No wonder criminals are rarely caught." Erick muttered as everyone looked at him. "Your police force is incompetent, If a small pile of dust that can easily fit in your fist can disintegrate an entire person, that's much more valuable for a murderous villain and terrorists than money ever will be."
"This must be the work of the White Fang then," Sapphire asked, tilting his head to the side.
"Of course it's the White Fang you dunce." Weiss replied, rolling her eyes, "They're all a bunch of criminal degenerates."
"Well I guess we can all go screw ourselves in this case." Moon muttered as Blake's head snap turned to Weiss with an irritated stare.
"What's your problem?" The black-haired girl of Team RWBY asked.
"My problem?" Weiss asked, in an almost shocked voice. "I don't care for the criminally insane!"
"What wrong with Pretty Girl?" Astro honked.
"Get...back...in...the bag." Sarah said quietly, silently hoping that this could be resolved quickly.
"The White Fang aren't a bunch of psychopaths." Blake snapped. "They're a collection of misguided Faunus run by an insane murderer."
"But...but they're terrorists an-" Sapphire started
"So were we in Rhea's Eyes." Moon hissed at him in a low voice so the girl's team wouldn't hear. "Now be quiet."
"Misguided?!" Weiss sounded like she was about to start yelling. "They want to wipe humanity off the face of the planet!"
"So then they're Very misguided." Blake replied. "It still doesn't explain why they'd rob a Dust Store in the middle of downtown Vale."
"Blake has a point, Weiss." Ruby spoke up quickly, seeing as how no one else was. "It could also be that Torchwick Guy and his mirror-creating lady friend that attacked Moon and I in the Cafe, he was the one who attacked the last Dust shop that got me accepted into Beacon."
"Well...what do YOU guys think?" All four girls turned their attention to Team MESS.
Moon inwardly groaned to himself as Sarah, Erick, and Sapphire all looked at him. Sure, he HAD told them to stay out of this, and now it was directed at them.
"That's what you get when you try to stay Neutral then?" Dark Moon hissed at him. "How about you let me tell them how I feel?"
"I think…" Moon began, ignoring the mockery from his evil root "That you both are being complete idiots."
"What is THAT supposed to mean?" Blake asked irritably.
"The White Fang are, as Weiss said, labeled as a Terrorist Organization because of their frequent attacks on humanity." Moon replied, forming his little death glare with his one blue eye. "As Weiss said, their goal is to wipe humanity off the face of the planet. That's not a very good goal when you stop and think about it."
Weiss gave Blake a little smug look. "See, I told yo-"
"HOWEVER," Moon continued. "If I happened to be faunus, and I had to put up with discriminatory rules and racist assholes like Cardin everywhere I turned. The thought of committing crimes to get a peace message across, or get rid of humanity all together so we can't be hated anymore, doesn't sound like the worst idea in the world. It's like...borderline gray, but like...just barely." Blake also seemed satisfied with that answer.
"Also, unless one of you conveniently happens to have been a member of the White Fang…" Sapphire jumped in. "We don't have any idea what the inner workings of the organization are like. For all we know, some Faunus might be threatened to stay a part of it. It's not like all Faunus get into trouble with the la-"
"HEY! STOP THAT FAUNUS!"
Weiss turned matter-of-factly as they watched a blonde-haired boy with some type of monkey looking tail sprint past them at a fast pace, they watched as he turned the corner and vanished from eyesight faster than anyone could blink.
"Don't just stand there!" Weiss scolded her teammates after a moment, "after him." Team MESS watched as the four girls ran after the Faunus Boy.
"Are we gonna…you know...go after them?" Sapphire asked.
"No they'll be fine." Erick said after a moment. "The dude probably just got mistaken for being a Stowaway on one of the Vacuo Ships."
"Zoom, Momma Sarah, me Hungry." Astro honked, popping his head out of her backpack again.
"I still think it'd be better for her to fess up." Moon said, shrugging his shoulders. "Blake is a Faunus after all." His friends all looked at him, each of them seemed taken aback.
"How'd you figure that out?" Erick asked. "You haven't read her mind or anything?"
"Eh, her ribbon bow was off center. Almost like they were covering some ears up." Moon said calmly. "The way she just acted to Weiss, I'm certain she's a Faunus. Maybe once part of the White Fang before things turned into Terrorism? If we can find any leads that the White Fang is working with Salem, maybe we can dig up more dirt on her."
A day or so later, after all of team RWBY had undoubtedly missed their classes. Moon found himself in front of Team RWBY's door with Sarah right next to him.
"Moon, really, what if something happened to them?" she pleaded with him, giving him a sorrowful puppy-eyed look in her bright blue eyes.
Moon grumbled as he knocked on the door to their dorm. Even though he could sense that at least three of them were inside, Sarah wasn't going to leave him alone until she knew for sure.
Ruby opened the door to her dorm. Giving Sarah a breath of fresh air.
"Oh...you all are okay. We…" She paused for a second. "Yes, we were concerned."
"No, we're all good it's just that Blake is well-"
"I'll tell you what's wrong!" Weiss instantly replaced Ruby at the door. "Blake is-"
"A faunus and a former member of the White Fang, yada yada this, you fought, she's missing, I get it." Moon boredly muttered, he grabbed Sarah's hand and started to drag her away. "Alright, Sarah, let's go look for her." completely ignoring the stunned faces of the three remaining members of Team RWBY.
"Where are YOU going?"
"I'M going out to go look for YOUR damn teammate." Moon snarled at Yang, making Sarah gasp quietly at his tone. "Because you incompetent idiots that call each other teammates can't seem to fucking agree on shit!"
Once he had dragged his girlfriend down the stairs and into the streets of dusk, Sarah opened her mouth. Her blue eyes made him shift uncomfortable at their worried expression.
"Are...are you...are you okay Moon?" She asked nervously. "You...um…" She was cut off as her boyfriend silently wrapped his arms around her. Embracing her in a tight hug, she felt her face heat up in embarrassment, even though no one was around.
"As long as you're here, I'll be fine." he said, separating and brushing her hair. "I'm just...frustrated with these...people." Sarah only nodded her head in response, before quickly giving him a quick kiss. Which triggered a flash memory of her weeping as his own body towered over her, making him flinch again.
"HEY!" Both of them turned to Ruby as she skidded to a halt in front of them. "Sorry for interrupting your moment, but we still need to find Blake. Yang and Weiss are still...you know."
"Okay, thanks." Moon felt something enter their presence. "Um...you may want to duck, Ruby."
"SAL-U-TATIONS!" Sarah felt her eyes widened as a green blur tackled Ruby like a bullet. As she and Moon turned to look they found another girl on top of the leader of Team RWBY. An orange-haired girl with an older green and grey vest and skirt. She also had a pink bow on top of her head.
"Urgh…" Ruby grunted as she stood up. "Moon, Sarah, this is Penny, I met her yesterday."
"Is she...a Beacon student?" Sarah asked, looking at the girl weirdly.
"Nope! I'm here to fight in the tournament for Atlas! I'm Combat Ready!" Penny gave a salute to them as she rocked back and forth on her toes.
"Oh...so you've been out on the streets?" Moon asked, "Have you seen Ruby's friend Blake?"
"NOPE!" Penny said, in a much more cheery tone. "But I did hear some commotion going on down by the docks! Before I saw you three that is." As she finished, an explosion rumbled.
The four of them all but ran down to the docks, where they thankfully found Blake, along with the boy with a monkey tail from yesterday. They also found Roman Torchwick, along with a bunch of White Fang members, holding onto various weapons.
"Blake!" Ruby called as the four of them skidded to a halt next to her.
Torchwick looked at the six of them standing there in front of them. Then over at all his little Faunus Goons surrounding them.
"Don't just stand there you buffoons!" the man yelled. "Get them!"
Moon sighed as he unsheathed Saphria, "Let's just get this over with."
"Penny, you stay back," Ruby said, motioning her hand. "Now, Let's kick some butt!"
The monkey-tailed teen nodded his head, and put his hands together, out of thin air, three copies of him made of golden light appeared and darted forward, he then broke his staff apart into two nunchucks and quickly knocked out two Faunus holding onto revolvers.
Sarah felt Moon put a hand on her shoulder, and, as blue light surrounded both of them, she felt herself become increasingly lighter. Taking her boyfriend's lead, the two of them began the process of taking out surrounding Faunus.
She quickly bashed one over the back of its head with Freya, utilizing a loud clunk, the man with a wolf's tail fell to the ground.
She felt a chain wrap around her arm, and she turned to find another White Fang member holding her arm back.
"PK Freeze γ!" A beam of ice shot from her hand and encased the man in solid ice, the chain slackend, allowing her to slip out.
Moon didn't seem to find her idea great, as he quickly sliced the ice sculpture in half, leaving it to fall in shatter with the man split in two.
Sarah blinked in surprise, but didn't have time to focus on that. Moon's flash of blue light halted in front of her. She heard the klang of two swords and she turned to see Moon holding his blade against the clang of Torchwicks cane.
"Oooh." The man chuckled. "Princess has a prince eh?" He powered through Moon's block and jabbed the cane against his stomach, launching some sort of explosive against him as both of them went flying back against one of the large metal cargo carriers from ships.
Blake came flying backwards and roundhouse kicked Torchwick across the docks, before quickly jumping out of the way of bullet fire from more of the White Fang. Ruby flew in after her using her semblance and knocked both of the faunus into the water.
"I sure hope those guys can swim." She heard the cocking of a gun and narrowly avoided a bullet fired from Torchwick's cane. Twirling around the docks, she quickly grabbed Moon and Sarah from their location, standing them upright in two spaced out locations, leaving the six of them to surround the criminal mastermind with their own weapons pointed at him.
Torchwick gave a little chuckle, "Seems like I'll be getting out of here." Ruby fired a bullet at him, and, remembering what happened last time, Moon instantly looked for a possible escape as he heard the glass shatter.
A helicopter came flying up from behind the cargo holds, with Torchwick looking down at them.
"Not this time." Moon hissed, making Sarah flinch in concern. Using the force from his levitation, he propelled himself up into the air, preparing Saphria to destroy the helicopter with a quick slash, he felt his signature PK Rollin charging into the blade for his attack.
Noticing his rapid ascent towards them, Torchwick turned to the side, where Moon found himself charging towards what he could only assume was a woman. He couldn't quite get the best look at her, standing in a shadowed part of the helicopter. She appeared to be wearing a red dress with yellow flames sparkled around the shoulders. She had long black hair and a sinister smile on her face, which he couldn't get a good look at as she was standing in the shadows.
His memory flashed an image of Nightmare on top of Sarah, forcing her down and kissing her, he could still see the tears from her eyes as they each fell against the earth floor. It lit a fire as it started to burn...and burn...and burn…wait...he was on fire?!
"MOON!" Before he could react, the woman had blasted him with some sort of fire power...maybe some Dust? He couldn't fully be aware because of the image flash, then, she had a golden arrow knocked at him, a taunting smirk on her face.
"Checkmate," she hissed at him, firing the arrow, which, after wedging itself in his chest, exploded and sent him spiralling into the ground. He heard the screams from Sarah, before hearing the sound of an engine of somesorts. Then he felt cold, almost metallic feeling hands grab onto him as the force of acceleration knocked him out.
Ruby let out a sigh of relief as Penny had sprung forward, launching herself into the air with some type of weird rocket boots and caught Moon before he crashed against the ground. Her friend landed on the ground in front of Sarah, holding onto him.
From a quick change of expression, you'd think Sarah had gone through some sort of PTSD abuse-related trauma from her shared love for Moon. Her breathing was still heavy, and Ruby was positive that she could hear her heart thumping from the outside.
"Th-Thank you…" she whispered to Penny.
"No Problem!" Penny gave her a salute. "I think he might have blacked out from the velocity and speed he was launched and caught at, though." she tilted her head to the side. "Maybe next time you should try and talk these plans out."
"Hey, that was still really brave of him to try, had that strange woman not been there, we might've gotten Torchwick." The monkey-tailed faunus boy said, placing his hands behind his head. He then turned to Sarah. "Sun Wukong, by the way."
Sarah looked up at them, they could see her still mildly twitching, probably just trying to recover from whatever worries she had.
"Let's get these two back." Blake said, turning to Ruby. "They've had a long night."
The helicopter landed on the outskirts of Vale, in a more remote location that Torchwick knew cops around these parts could be bribed off with a bit of cash.
The man hopped off the helicopter base, followed by his henchwoman Neopolitan. Who, as her name suggested, looked exactly like the ice cream flavor, she was decked out with split pink and brown hair with a pink and brown eye respectively, she also wore white female suit for her liking. She carried a modified iron umbrella, which she used for her weapon.
Two white fang members, one with a lizard's tail, and one with flopped down ears quickly hurried over from guard positions and began unloading the cargo haul of dust they had stolen.
"Brilliant work, absolutely splendid job!" Roman tipped his hat to Neo. Who gave him a satisfied nod in response to her boss.
"I wouldn't call that absolutely splendid." The criminal mastermind rolled his eyes as they turned towards three more people.
The woman who had shot down that blue boy crossed her arms and fixated a glare on him. She had black hair and red eyes that would pierce into the soul of anyone with her stare. She was accompanied by her own two little henchmen.
The first, was a dark skinned girl with bright green hair and red eyes, wearing a white fighting outfit. The other, was a grey haired boy with black eyes and a rather infuriated frown from the left.
"I don't see what the problem you have is." Roman said to the woman. "Even in spite of those bratty kids, we still managed to stock this entire warehouse down here full of Dust!"
"If it hadn't been for me and Emerald over here." The woman said, motioning her hand towards her female sidekick. "Then that blond boy might've just as easily killed all of us, just as he did to our expenditures over at the White Fang. I don't think Adam would be very happy to hear that you are tossing away his men on something."
Neo merely crossed her arms and shook her head, Torchwick meanwhile, took out a cigar and lit it. "So what?" he asked. "What do you even need all this dust for anyway?"
"In due time, all shall be revealed to you." The woman replied. "We have big plans for you Roman, so we still need you to stay alive."
"You keep mentioning big plans, yet, I've heard nothing about phase two, Cinder."
Cinder smiled evilly. "Yes, that would be because phase two starts right now."
"That's-a not the-a point!" Mario snapped furiously.
"I don't really see what the problem is in that case." Mewtwo snapped back, flicking his tail around. "Just because you hate Moon doesn't mean he's evil. Just like me, he was created to be evil, but he isn't. Maybe if you tried being more accepting of him, the fear of Dark Moon wouldn't be a problem."
The back and forth arguing between the Super Smash Brothers almost never ceased after each time they contacted Moon for information. Ness buried his face in his hands and groaned as Paula simply patted him on the back.
"Ease up," Byleth said to the young psychic. "The sparks will always be there, but we'll be unified if Salem does try to go on the offensive."
"We can only hope," Akira Starr said to Byleth. "I wouldn't be surprised if someone used that opportunity to their advantage.
"Still," Paula replied to Byleth. "Everyone is going to be antsy. And, considering our best suggestions for ideas on how to continue searching in this world are coming from Sephiroth of all people, you can imagine the negative energy from these people.
"Agreed, but st-" Byleth was cut off as a door opened, while all the Super Smash Brothers (except for Sora) were in the hall, the person who walked in was young woman, she had orange hair and a turquoise eyes, she was also wearing a mage's robe. Nobody apart from Ness, Paula, Byleth, and Akira looked over at her. She also seemed rather...concerned.
"Oh...Hello Annette." Byleth said, rubbing the back of his head. "Does Edelgard need anything...because I'm kind of in the middle of something."
"I can tell." Annette said, looking around at the chaos bickering. "Is Moon here? Edelgard wanted me to pass him a message...privately."
"They've been gone for about a week." Ness said, looking up from the table. "You can just relay it here and we can bring it up with him when we contact him next..." he fell silent as the look on Byleth's former student kept getting increasingly more concerned.
"Is...is something wrong?" Paula asked.
Annette reluctantly leaned into Byleth and murmured something into his ear. It didn't take long for the former professor's eyes to widen in shock. He just motioned for Annette to leave and folded his arms, almost as if processing what he wanted to say to them.
"It's Rhea." he said after a moment, "Or rather, Rhea's Diamondized Body...it's...vanished."
Pokey Minch huffed himself out of his spider-mech and tossed out a Diamondized Statue of a woman with long green hair, and an angel winged tiara with a combat dress. Looking behind her, you could see the faint development of Wings coming out of her backside, and she was holding onto a sword and shield, all encased in diamond.
"Well, Well, Well." The chubby boy muttered, looking at Rhea's statue lying face down. "I would've thought after everything Moon learned about you creating him alongside Salem, and the rest of those saints, he would've killed you. I guess he hasn't been pushed over quite yet."
Speaking of Moon, the boy pulled out a bit of technology, after picking up some type of signal, during which Pokey had thrown the thing against the ground. It dinged open and pulled up a view of Moon, Sarah, and Erick, all of them were inside of some type of dormitory of sorts.
Location found: Kingdom of Vale, Beacon Academy.
He quickly eyed the blue haired boy, Sapphire, and scowled a little more at the thought of having Moon's second Guardian in the way of things yet again.
"Tsk Tsk. I guess I'll have to put up with that bullshit eventually." He glared at Rhea's diamond statue, still laying face first on the ground, ruthlessly, he kicked it, stubbing toe in the process as the statue didn't even move.
"That's why Giygas didn't like you, Seiros." Pokey muttered. "Because you were always a rash headed thorn in his side. You're lucky that Moon even left you alive."
He begrudgingly picked the statue back up and tossed it into his spider mech. Now questioning why he bothered to toss it out in the first place.
"Now...what to do about de-diamondizing you?" Pokey mumbled, he quickly eyed Sarah, who continued to look at Moon nervously from her position on the bed they were sharing. An evil, sadistic smile spread across his pale, rotting face as he saw Moon's much harsher looking stare for a neutral expression.
"Perfect, Perfect…" he hummed to himself. "She's desperate...he's annoyed...now, how would I go about separating her from those three idiots? It's hard to get around Moon's usual paranoia once he gets word I have Rhea, Erick is too smart, and Sapphire...well, I couldn't get past him last time?"
As if something was on cue, something popped up on his technological piece, it was a message from someone marked with a queen piece from chess. The photo showed 7 kids, all girls, of varying different outfit colors, and sizes. Names below them in order were Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang, Nora, Pyrrha, and Penny. The Ruby and Penny girls were circled with red with a message underneath it.
I think you know what to do, Pokey.
Huh, weird? I did Put Rhea away in the last story. In hindsight, I did it because I initially had a plan to follow up on Black Dawn with a story that had to deal with a Multiversal calamity. However, the idea was scrapped because I felt as though it would underline a message and the overall theme of Three Houses. You can't hold onto the past forever, and undoing a Multiversal calamity that would bring the Blue Lions back just felt like a slap in the face, even if, at the end of the story, I sent everyone back to their own worlds. So, Rhea's here.
I'll be honest, because Cinder, Emerald, and Mercury all just sit on their asses for the first two volumes, there isn't much I can really do with Torchwick and Neo. So Pokey and Rhea will probably be serving as our Piece of shit duos.
Anyway, I need to address something. Starting now, The Lost World of Remnant is going to be given an M rating. I'm certain everyone basically knows and is reading with their own discrepancy about what Nightmare has done to Sarah. But, I guess it is more of a mature thing I'm dealing with, and, I will eventually have to address the problem between her and Moon. Either way, now that the story is transitioning into M territory, I do intend to make the most out it with the stuff I show and imply going further. I don't currently have a sex scene planned, but I'll see how development goes, cause this story is going to be long...super long.
So, not much M stuff really happened here in this chapter. However, going forward, you are reading at your own will. So I encourage everyone here to stop and think about whether you want to continue. Because I don't intend to hold myself back any longer. I will say though, there won't be much explicit content, this is being done purely because of the mature themes I'm going to cover.
This does include deviating away from canon much more than normal, while I do intend for this to act like a retelling of the volumes, changes are going to be made. I'm considering changing a few backstories and internal relationships between certain characters.
I'm also considering using Dust in more...logical ways. I'm well aware of different types, like gravity, plant, and others. However, given that dust has sort of become...less important, to RWBY's Canon, I thought I'd give it a little bit of a booster.
Anyway, that's about it. I'll see you all, next month. And, as always, any criticism you may have is always appreciated, I'd especially love to hear thoughts on your opinions for bringing back the old villains, and my thoughts on changing around Dust mechanics and character relations.
See you all, next time!
