Chapter 13: Game Night

"YOU HAD SEPHIROTH DO WHAT?!"

Moon sighed as the increasingly frowned faces of the majority of the Smash Council glared down at him from the holographic screen.

"I frankly don't see how you have a problem with this." Sephiroth sneered as he directed his own attention around the room. "In the situation at hand, we all have supreme authority."

"Your job is to stop Salem. Not enforce some dictatorial regime on people." Palutena snapped, ignoring the angel's snide remarks.

"And our so called. "Friends." of this world haven't been very useful." Byleth shouted back. "They treat things like nothing is wrong. I mean, hell, you heard the analysis for yourself. That General from Atlas brought an army of maybe 10,000, and you mean to tell me not a SINGLE one of them was ANYWHERE near the location when that highway fight happened?"

"Not to mention, it doesn't sound like they enforced any discipline towards Team RWBY's reckless behavior." all eyes directed the way of Ness. Though, Team Mess wouldn't know that from the screen.

"Oh sure, you can make the argument they made a mistake." Ness continued. "Yet, they are responsible for blowing up two buildings, which resulted in the possible death of maybe 30 people. Even if they didn't intend to do it, those were innocent people."

"We still can't just go around exerting brute force onto its leaders." Snake grunted to Ness. "We can't fault them for doing stupid stuff, all of us have done it before, often with much worse consequences than what happened."

"That's exactly the problem." Zelda replied,"We at least faced SOME type of consequence for a stupid action in our pasts. Akira went to jail for violating parole, Byleth got sealed in Zaharas, Shulk you DIED, the list goes on. However, Team RWBY is facing none."

"Well then, let's take that problem directly to them then." Mythra jumped in.

"No, we can't do that." Peach replied in her usual dainty voice. "That might set off a domino effect of negative emotion and panic that leads to massive Grimm Invasions."

"Screw the Grimm, I say we pick a fight with whatever gods run this shitshow world!" Cloud mumbled.

"Knowing how these events go in the past for any of us, that god is likely Salem." Paula shot back.

That was the trigger of fire, and all members started shouting over each other. Moon felt his eye twitch as Sarah placed a hand on his shoulder.

"WILL YOU IDIOTS SHUT UP?!" He shouted. For Ness, Paula, Lucas, Byleth, and Akira, this was common, everyone else flinched and hushed up.

"As far as I'm concerned. Our allies here are nonexistent, I think all of you can agree on it." he snapped at them. "The evidence I've provided to you all should be substantial enough proof that more than just Salem was aware of the Multiverse before any of this. The mettling in the affairs of this world are done purely for the Multiverse's safety, if people aware of these rules don't comply, we will use force. You all agreed to that earlier!"

There was a harsh moment of silence as all the eyes looked through their screens at him.

Ness cleared his throat after a moment. "Well, you are right." he spoke to Moon. "However, maybe starting your frustration train show of strength by throwing a Supernova at two very high-powered people was not the best idea? I'm impressed that the general didn't convince Ozpin to throw you out on the streets…" a moment of silence as Moon's counterpart seemed to process his own words.

"Ah…that was your intention…wasn't it?" he asked with a frown.

Moon nodded his head. "We just threw Ozpin and Ironwood into one of the most dangerous attacks within the Multiverse, giving them no clear indication on what our intention was. I fully did that with the expectation that Ozpin would give us the boot. Yet, he didn't. He let us go."

"What a strange individual." Akira rubbed his head. "You'd think after witnessing a Supernova that nearly killed them, they'd want to just kick you out, or just get rid of you."

"Are we sure he's not just letting them stay out of fear?" Palutena rolled her green eyes.

"If they were truly afraid, then the Grimm." Paula countered. "They're hiding something."

Ness merely held up a hand to silence everyone. "Now, back on topic." he said, redirecting his focus back on Moon. "I do believe you are right, that these two, Ironwood and Ozpin, are aware of something we aren't. Something that they are clearly bent on not sharing. You may be our…controller. However, we are still your council, and we still need to advise you. If they want to talk to one of us next time, ask for anyone who ISN'T a Villain."

Moon nodded his head. "I understand."

"Also," Ness directed his attention to Sarah, Erick, and Sapphire. "While the four of you may not like the idea, there may very well come a time when Weiss either lets it slip, someone in Ozpin's inner circle gets desperate, or some other entity figures you guys out. Preferably, I know its Multiversal tradition to keep the council private to a select few. However, should the unfortunate even arise, you are going to need to tell the truth to more than just Ozpin's inner circle."

Team MESS nodded their four heads in response.

"Good. We'll speak again soon. Just don't do anything stupid." The holographic screen disappeared and the orb stopped glowing.

"That could've gone worse, honestly." Sapphire rubbed the back of his head.

The muffled fart sounds saw their eight eyes directed towards Astro, the small Mr. Saturn was hopping up and down from behind a vent shaft.

"Hi Hi!" The Mr. Saturn honked. "Me exploring!"

"H-How d-did?" Sarah sputtered. "How did you get in the ventilation system?"

"Zoom, This!" Astro pressed his body against the ventilation screen, and his body squished down like jelly, allowing him to pop through the cracks. It popped out with a squelch.

"How…how does…" Sarah asked. "I mean…I knew you were squishy, but not that squishy."

"That only serves to ask the question of how throwing you at a shield breaks it." Erick muttered.

"So…Astro." Moon asked, still processing. "Did you uh…hear anything while in the vents?"

Astro jumped up and down. "Yes Yes!" he honked. "Venty systems connect all over place! Zoom! Crazy Old Man yap yap about crows! Honk!"

"He…talked about a crow?" Sarah asked.

"Yes Yes!" Astro honked. "Old man say "been long, long time." Tin man say "Crows stubborn." Zoom! Witch lady say "Crows be back!" Not very nice people. Boing!"

"Ah," Moon slapped his own head in realization. "That's right, they must be talking about Ruby's Uncle Qrow. Apparently Ozpin puts a great deal of trust in him."

"That…makes a lot more sense." Erick replied. "...Hey…wait a second. Astro, you make noise every time you take a step. The echoing of the inside of a vent should've alerted them to your presence in one."

"Sneaky Sneak." Astro replied. "Very High Up was I! Zoom!"

Moon went to ask another question before a knock tapped against their dorm room. All five glanced in that direction. He simply shrugged his shoulders and walked over, opening the door to find Team RWBY outside.

"Ah…" he muttered silently to himself. "What do you want?"

The four girls looked at them blankly. "Didn't…didn't Professor Goodwitch tell you?" Weiss asked.

"Tell us…what?" Erick questioned.

"We're doing a team mock battle today in preparation for the Vytal Tournament." Ruby replied, giving them an overly energetic smile.

"We know that you four won't be competing because of..well…your powers." Blake continued, crossing her arms. "However, Professor Goodwitch still requests that you participate."

Moon shrugged his shoulders. "If she insists, we will be down in a minute. Is that alright?" The four girls nodded their heads.

"Great, we'll see you there." Moon rolled his eyes and closed the door, turning to his friends.

"That's quite the request." Sarah said, nervously shaking her head.

"Not unexpected though." Erick replied. "After all, since they've got a general of the military here now. Perhaps some close quarters visual display of how we fight would prove useful for them to strategize around us."

Moon blew his blond hair away from his silver eye, showing his triple scar across his head. "Let's just get this over with." he sighed as his hair fell back down to cover it.

After they had fixed themselves up and walked down to the arena. Team MESS found themselves face-to-face with Team RWBY. Glancing slightly around the arena, the four of them were unsurprised to see Ironwood, Ozpin, and Glynda in the crowds with the audience.

"They opened this shit up for a practice battle?" He muttered.

"Probably want to try and cover up that it's spywork on their part." Sapphire whispered back. "Besides, you and Sarah have seen the looks from other kingdom's students around campus. That video of you two went viral quickly."

"Erick, will you be alright?" Sarah asked, quizzically. "I know our healing powers on you and Sapphire work just fine. But…unlike Moon and me, they don't have much of a way to tell when you are out."

"I'll be alright." Erick replied. "Remember, you both can feel when I'm weak, so you'll probably be able to tag me out if necessary."

Moon unsheathed Saphira, while his friends likewise got their own weapons out. Across the arena, the four girls also got their own weapons out.

"Let's fight."

Ruby enveloped herself in her cloak, using her semblance to quickly speed towards the four of them. As her rose petal semblance left circles around them, Sapphire quickly raised Stalwart-Terra over his head and smashed it against the ground. In the circular motion the youngest huntress was making around them, rocks sprung up instantly and a quick hit of their mark sent their opponent's leader out of her speed state.

Moon quickly braced Saphria as Weiss clashed Myrtenaster against it. He had to give the snow angel credit. She had good form and clearly understood how to use a blade. He quickly spotted her dust compartments around her blade shifting, thinking quickly he swept his leg against hers, tripping her as he quickly summoned a bit of black flames to shoot her back.

"PK Freeze γ!" The beam of ice from Sarah's fingers blasted across his ear. It traveled across the arena as Blake quickly slash Gambol Shroud through the beam, stopping it against the weapon's long reached blade. The golden-haired girl quickly pulled Freya out as Yang flew forward and attempted a punch with Ember Celica. The metal gauntlet collided with Freya's face and unleashed a quick sonic boom. Hearing the familiar charge of Gaia, she struck Yang's second punch, before quickly ducking as a blast of heat flew from above her, blasting Yang back. She nodded over towards Erick as thanks.

She heard a quick shift of earth and watched as Sapphire slid along the ground as it cracked below him. The blue-haired boy quickly channeled the energy as he heard the gunfire of Crescent Rose, he summoned a rock from the ground and quickly smashed his axe against it, shooting the rock towards the large red bullet, both collided and sent an explosion across the arena.

He pivoted against the ground and quickly used the axe's head to brute force overpower the red-girl's rushdown scythe strike as the weapons collided. The strength pivot of the Earth rotation he used collided with the scythe so hard that the weapon went flying out of the girl's hands and crossed the arena. He locked eyes with the silver eyed huntress who looked about as stunned as he was. However, it didn't take her long before she enveloped herself in her cloak and quickly dashed into him, pushing him back before retreating towards her own weapon.

Moon quickly kicked off the ground and did a crescent slice with Saphria, only to blink as Blake quickly vanished. Stopping a second, before his PSI instincts kicked in, he quickly turned left as he collided his blade against her own.

"Nice Semblance," he said, giving her a weird smile, before she powered through and he quickly rotated and blocked a second strike. "I can do something similar." he dropped his sword and allowed her to continue her slice.

Concentrating on PK Teleport, he vanished in a flash of pink light and reappeared behind the faunus girl before channeling PK Rollin through Saphria and unleashing a multi-colored blade beam from the sword. The beam collided with the girl and multi-hit enveloped her up before blasting her back as well.

"Shield !" The wall of light sprung around him as he felt a strong flinch as a punch from Ember Celica collided with the barrier. He supposed Yang was already getting frustrated enough with the fight for her semblance to activate; the shield never reacted this way before. Though the continuous punches against the wall of light meant it would soon shatter.

"Sarah, Sapphire, I need an Earthquake!"

He heard the motioning of Gaia as a beam hit against the ground, signaling Erick was out of the way.

"PK Ground!"

"Atlas Rupture!"

Sarah's PSI Energy blast and the strengthful smash of Stalwart-Terra collided against the ground and it viciously shook like a kaiju emerged from the ground. Concentrating his levitation, he was able to kick off the ground just so slightly so that he didn't trip. Yang, and the rest of Team RWBY were not as lucky.

Quickly, he stabbed Saphira's tipper into the ground and sliced upwards. Channeling PK Earth through the sword, the earth launched Goldilocks into the air. He heards Gaia's charge as an icy slope slide develops its way down. Erick quickly followed up as his downward slide allowed him to quickly unleashed a circular fire blast as he slid around Yang's body.

A white light mural of a snowflake developed itself just below the ice slide for Erick and Ruby quickly hopped on and sliced through the ice, bringing the structure down as both Erick and Yang tumbled downwards. Before any of Team MESS could react, the rose-petal semblances pushed Erick against the ground before making an L Dip towards Yang's still falling body.

"PK Hydro!" Moon quickly blasted a whirlpool from his hand that shaped itself around the rose semblance. Quickly taking his mind off the surrounding fight as he heard Sarah shout her Freeze attack, he quickly moved over to Erick.

"You alright?" He asked.

"Yeah, the Defense Shower does wonders." The Genius grunted. "Though, I think the effects are gone now." he coughed a little.

He simply nodded his head as he heard a loud smash from Sapphire's axe against the frozen whirlpool. He concentrated on Lifeup and his hand flashed green over the genius. Removing some minor scrapes and bruises, as well as few burn marks. Then, he quickly teleported the genius off of the arena area and then back on himself.

Quickly, he dashed to Sarah's aid as he put his back to her as Weiss went for an arc-slash with Myrtenaster. The two blades clanged against each other. Weiss quickly hopped back just a little, squeaking just out of range of his foot reach, but not so far that Myrtenaster's tip didn't reach Saphira's. The ice queen did a purete rotation to try and catch his grip off guard.

"PK Darkness." he snapped his fingers as a small beam of darklight collided with Weiss' outfit. Her eyes suddenly looked fogged and clouded as she stumbled a bit on her form.

"Pivot Sarah." They both turned each other to face their new opponents, he quickly parried an uppercut from Yang before unleashing blasting the girl back with water. He heard the loud clunk-thud of Freya, followed by an explosion and watched as Weiss also tumbled against the ground. Both the Yellow, and White Girl's auras shattered as they collapsed.

Both lovers turned their attention towards Sapphire, who was currently twirling Stalwart-Terra around his body in very impressively quick movements. Ruby's speedy semblance seemed to be pushing its boundaries as she twirled around Sapphire in quick succession while Blake was attacking from a distance.

"Ready?" he asked Sarah. She nodded her head in agreement.

The two of them connected their hands as multi-colored sparks of light cracked from their opposite fingertips.

Right before they could call their powers forth, their heads flashed a bright white light and their vision immediately cut to a voided hellscape with both of their dark sides. Both of whom quickly lashed out and tackled them both to the voided ground. A black chain wrapped itself around both of their bodies and quickly tightened them togethers as the dark sides vanished and reappeared in front of them.

Dark Sarah let out hissy giggle as she flipped herself upside down and rotated around both of them. "Dear oh dear?" she hissed, her bloody red eyes pierced both of them. "How completely unexpected! You fuckers weren't even angry!" Sarah flinched as she watched an obsidian black Freya with a red star develop in her dark side's hand "Oh well! Let's make the most of it?!"

In a completely vicious way, the dark side smashed the pan over Moon's head. She went to shout at her dark side, before Moon's own darkside placed a shadowy finger against her lips. A stinging acidic feeling erupted through her body as she let out a silent wail.

"Not so fast darling." Dark Moon hissed at her. Almost as quickly as the loud smashes against Moon's head echoed in her ears they vanished, and, much to her horror, so did feeling Moon's own back to her. Now it was just her and Dark Moon.

"My sweetheart will take care of your husband." Dark Moon's shadowy teeth looked almost fang like as his shadow hand traced around her face. She watched his body stretch out as it became a long black snake, the only exception being that Dark Moon's head was the head of the snake. She felt the long black shadowy slime wrap it way around her body, binding her hands and squeezing her to the point it was hard to breath, possible, but still hard.

She felt the acidic pain as a cold tongue rubbed against her cheek, tears began streaming down her face instantly.

"Stop struggling darling." Dark Moon hissed as his one visible red eye tilted its way to look at her. "I'm not gonna do what he did." Her memory flashed to the dead look of Nightmare's silver eyes and the pain of feeling teeth against her neck.

"HOW!" Sarah wailed. "We weren't angry!"

Dark moon's scaly snake body loosened around her as she felt chains against her hands replace him. Her husband's dark side leered her down with a hungry sort of desire. "That's for my sweetheart and I to know…and for you to never find out." he cackled as he drew Saphria out. The black blade's tip pointed against her neck.

"You know my sweet Sarah," Dark Moon hissed, inching the sword up her neck. "Do you ever miss the days that passed by? He pressed the sword against her, she felt a deep pain through her neck.

"I know it hurts you in here." Her husband's darkside hissed. "Darkness is a beautiful thing, isn't it?" The blade slowly withdrew from her neck, taking away that acidic pain.

Sarah flinched as her head flashed, the soaking pale face of Hegemon, his eyes lacking pupils and just a dead stare. Black ooze leaking from its mouth, the silver crown of Giegue on its head. The two giant black wings, and its shadowy claws that grabbed onto her. Sinking their corrupt nails against her skin.

"STOP IT!" She screamed. She felt an intense, very painful pressure in her core, in all her life, she never felt so angry. The immense hatred oozed through her emotional system. Everyday, it was a painful, loathsome experience.

Dark Moon cackled as he appeared in front of her, still trapped by Hegemon's claws.

"Myself, Nightmare, Hegemon…" Dark Moon hissed as he rubbed her tear-stricken face. "You'd think after all the shit we put you through you'd be through…and yet-"

Her eyes twitched, so much pain and suffering…just trick after trick. Taunt after taunt. All a devious ploy to try and tear her and Moon apart.

"PK LOVE!"

Her vision of the voided landscape was cut out as a massive blast of black and red light erupted across the stadium. So much force exerted from her PSI blast that she felt herself get pushed back, though, Moon quickly grabbed onto her before she stumbled out of control.

The beams of light shot wildly in all directions, bouncing off the arena walls.

"I'm sorry Moo-" she went before he cut her off.

"Not now." he hissed.

He directed his fingers around towards Ruby, Blake, and Sapphire, who were in the line of fire of the rapid bouncing of the beams. "PSI Shield Σ!"

The 3 bubbles of blue light surrounded them, just as the multiple beams of black and red merged with each other in the center and exploded. A large cloud of dust enveloped the entire arena, and, as it faded, they found Ruby, Blake, and Sapphire all against the ground.

Moon let out a sigh of relief. "Thank everything those shields were there." He said calmly. He looked over at her, she only realized how badly she was shaking. Her breath was heavy and she wanted to collapse on the ground.

"I-I'm sorry…I'm sorry…" She breathed out, trying her hardest not to cry. "I-I…" Moon silenced her by placing a finger to her lips.

"It's okay…" he whispered. "Nobody died…" Sarah was somewhat relaxed, but she still looked nervous. "It's okay Sarah. We'll figure it out later, just not now."

The two of them walked over to Sapphire, who looked probably the worst of the 3 they knocked out, Moon quickly casted Lifeup and helped the boy back on his feet, they watched as Ruby and Blake also stood up, their auras seemed shattered, but at least they were both okay as well.

Their heads turned as Yang, Weiss, and Erick all approached them. Ruby and Blake's teammates were concerned about their own, while Erick quickly pushed them aside, along with Sapphire. He looked quite concerned, maybe a bit frustrated?

"What happened?!" The genius asked. "You two weren't angry, frustrated, or injured!"

Sapphire nodded his head in agreement. "I don't think you've ever done something so…powerful."

"I'll give you two evil guesses." Moon hissed back quietly. "It's not Sarah's fault…I don't care what you think, there is someone, or something that's here that is giving Dark Moon, Sarah, and potentially Dark Erick higher powers. We'll talk about this later, okay?" Both boys nodded in agreement as they turned to the four girls.

Moon stepped up to Ruby, and outstretched his hand. "Not bad," he said, giving her a tilt of his head. "You and your team synergize well with each other, though, more emphasis on team attacks could go a long way. Don't you think so?"

The silver-eyed huntress giggled. "Yeah, we try our best, but your psychic powers are something else."

Moon looked at her teammates, Weiss seemed contemptuous. However, Yang and Blake both had disapproving frowns.

"Sorry about our Sarah's PK Love by the way." he continued, rubbing the back of his head. "Given the coloration, I'd imagine she kind of slipped up with the memory of losing Dyson…typically if anger courses through us, that'll be why the usually Multi-colored light becomes just black and red."

"It's fine," Blake spoke up, though not removing a disapproving frown, he swore he saw her cat ears flick under the bow. "It was a good fight nonetheless."

"I can feel as though our bond with Team RWBY has grown."

Confidant Rank: 2

Ruby Rose

Confidant Rank: 2

Blake Belladonna

Confidant Rank: 2

Yang Xaio-Long

No rank up for Weiss though…wait…how the hell was he getting these rank up messages anyway? Moon muttered something to himself as he shook his head. Looking around the stadium, a lot of people were still looking in shock. He spotted Ironwood, along with Ozpin and Glynda all looking down from afar. Strangely, Penny was next to Ironwood as well. Though, that was a problem he'd deal with later.

"Moon…you okay?" He blinked back as Sapphire patted his shoulder. He looked back towards Team RWBY. All 8 of them felt just confused as to what they were supposed to be doing as of now. Though, he did see a bit of a shift in Ruby's facial expression, which went from a sort of confused look to a suddenly excited, almost stunned look.

"Well…I guess we should get going then." Sarah continued after a moment. "Good fight."

"Oh! Wait! Before I forget!" Team MESS looked at Ruby, the silver eyed-huntress gave them a look of hopefulness. "Do you guys want to come hang out with us? We were going to do a Video Game Tournament!"

"We were?"

"YES WEISS!" Ruby said a bit too loudly.

Sapphire, Erick, and Sarah each looked at their leader, who wasn't actually listening, instead, his visible blue eye was looking around the stands.

"You know what? Yeah, that'll be fun!" Sarah replied, she grabbed Moon's hand, which seemed to snap him out of gaze, "Let's go!"

"Did you see that?" Cinder shrugged her shoulders as Emerald turned to her from the stadium stands. Her beady red eye fixated on the four strange kids of Team MESS.

"Tch," Mercury scoffed as the kids started walking away. "Those are the kids we should be concerned about?"

"You say that as if you did not just watch them destroy 4 huntresses, 2 of them without psychic powers, just raw skill."

"The blue haired bitch needs his axe to do stuff with the ground, and the black haired scientist kid is basically useless without the weapon. Is he not?"

"Not to mention, Emerald." Cinder jumped into her underlings' conversation. "The two with psychic powers have memories that you've been using to your advantage. Have you not?"

"Well, yes Cinder." The green haired girl rubbed her arm subconsciously. "But…those…things…"

"Those THINGS happen to be her greatest creation." Cinder interrupted her with a glare. "Like we were told, you'll need to stick around both of us at all times. They can read minds, and as long as they're in your line of sight, their visions will prevent their telepathy in the even they want to use it. We don't want our plans getting intercepted by them."

"Speaking of our plans…" Mercury continued, crossing his arms. "Are Torchwick and Neo almost done with the preparations? What about those other people?"

Cinder shrugged her shoulders, "Roman is almost done with his plan, though he keeps bringing up hesitancy from the White Fang. I guess Adam hasn't talked sense into them yet. As for the others, I'm certain that Pokey and Rhea are doing what was asked. She doesn't want them out in the open quite yet."

Team MESS each stood outside the door room to Team RWBY's Dorm. Upon their arrival, Ruby had taken her own team inside and promptly slammed the door under the pretenses of fixing the room up. Something that, admittedly, felt quite out of character.

Eventually, however, the door was indeed opened and the four of them entered. Immediately, however, Moon cursed to himself as he wished they had just left. Inside of the dormitory, on the selected TV screen, was character artwork rendered for the four of them for the latest Super Smash Brothers game they had seen earlier.

"Sapphire." He hissed quietly. The blue haired boy nodded his head swiftly and he watched the boy silently mutter the incantation for a silence spell, the three rings of light swiftly developed and surrounded their entire dorm room.

"I KNEW IT!" Ruby shouted in an excited cheer. "I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT!" The silver eyed huntress turned to Weiss. "I told you they were! And you didn't believe me!"

Moon mentally facepalmed, at least that meant Weiss had kept up her end of the bargain by denying it. Yang and Blake were expectedly looking stunned, while Weiss just looked at Team MESS sheepishly.

"Okay…you got us." Erick muttered, the genius rubbed the back of his head. "I don't quite see what this changes."

"Are you kidding?! This is super cool! The four of you are some of the most popular video game characters of our time! And now you're real! Are the Other Super Smash Brothers real as well? Is Smash Brothers an actual thing?!"

"Do you have any questions that DON'T have to deal with the Smash Brothers?" Sarah asked. "Despite what you're shown about them in the video games. You'd be surprised how uh…different they are."

The Silver eyes sparkled a little. "Yes! Actually!" she turned her head to Sapphire. "Is it canon that you and Hubert had a secret agreement that one of you would marry Edelgard to produce an heir in the event Byleth didn't return and the war dragged on longer than you anticipated?"

"I'm not answering that." Sapphire replied flatly.

"If you guys are truly from the video games you're from…then…" Yang crossed her arms.

"View us how you want." Sapphire crossed his arms, giving her a silent glare. "Though, if you want to judge me, I sure hope you played all the routes to understand why we did what we did."

"You're fine," Yang replied, and she directed her lilac eyes to Moon, Sarah, and Erick. "You three, on the other hand…"

"We're what?" Sarah asked, giving her a frown. "Ticking time bombs? Mindless weapons? Killing monsters? Filthfreaks? Cursed abominations who should never have been born?!"

"Whatever thought crossed your mind about what we are," Moon shook his head. "It's been said before, sometimes by people with much higher authority than you. And, may I remind ALL of you that you've seen my dark side, and Weiss was unharmed."

"Well…we should still say something to-"

"Professor Ozpin is already aware." Erick replied, tilting his glasses. "What? Did you think your headmaster just overlooked four teenagers falling from the sky?"

"And he-"

"Yes, he knows about the dark sides."

"But that would mean th-" Yang directed her attention to Weiss

"No, he actually didn't say anything to Weiss." Moon butted in. "The meeting we had was to clarify the story of that night. Weiss left early, and I told Ozpin privately. I can read minds, remember? I would know if she knew!"

"It'd be a lot cooler if you uh…you know…didn't do that." Blake replied, crossing her arms. "Sometimes we'd like to keep our thoughts to ourselves."

"Like I've told you, don't give me a reason not to trust you." Moon replied flatly. "Getting back on track, now that you've been cleared up. Is there anything you'd like to say about us?"

"Actually, yes." Yang replied. "Why are you here?"

The four of them looked at each other. "Honestly? Scouting vision." Moon replied. "Considering you know now that the Super Smash Brothers are real, you may as well understand that your universe coincides with all of our home worlds as well. The Smash Brothers aren't just a group of olympic style sporting events, they're a governmental council bent on safety. We need to make sure there haven't been any…mishaps. I mean…after all, it'd be kind of a problem if…you know…someone like Ridley was let loose into your world."

"Well then why are you here and not exploring Remnant then?" Blake asked.

"Professor Ozpin asked us to stay here for now. Maybe once the Vytal Tournament is over, we'll stoaway on an Atlas ship or something." Erick shrugged. "We were told that the four kingdoms are all the population here…apart from that island they gave to Faunus."

"And while we're on the topic of that." Moon continued. "Our true identity is not to be revealed to anyone. It's already bad enough that you four know. But I don't think I'd need to even explain to you how chaotic your world could get if people now suddenly have to deal with multiple video games that are suddenly real. Especially with your little…Grimm issue. Only a select few within each cluster of the Multiverse are allowed to know we exist."

"And…what if we don't want to keep secrets?" Ruby asked.

"At the least you, and everyone you've told may be subjected to memory erasure…" Sarah said. "Unfortunately…depending on how quickly or rapidly it spreads, we might have to take drastic Multiversal Memory Erasure…and…unfortunately…using magic to try and wipe memories can have…undesirable consequences."

"Of course, that's just the bottom of the barrel." Erick replied, rubbing the back of his head. "Naturally, where there is a Multiverse that needs safety, there are rules that need to be in place."

"And that means?" Blake asked.

"It means think carefully." Moon narrowed his blue eye. "Because what you do could very well end you up in front of a council for judgment."

"Is this why you have trust problems?" Weiss asked curiously, before he could open his mouth, he watched her eyes do a double take back to the render art displayed.

"Oh! Yeah!" Ruby's eyes lit up as Weiss confusedly looked at her leader. "Well…what happened to you specifically? You're uh…your art is a lot more…well…you."

Moon exhaled a bit and pushed his hair forward, revealing his nearly slashed-out silver eye. The hair blew a bit allowing the four girls to get a good look before it fell back down to cover it.

"OOOH! That means there's gonna be a sequel!"

"That's your big takeaway from this?!" Weiss looked dumbfounded as the four members of Team MESS facepalmed simultaneously.

"Well, Mother 4 is only one of the most beloved RPGs of the modern time!" Ruby replied, giggling a little. "I mean, they even delayed this Smash Brothers title just so they would be able to include Moon and Sarah."

Moon sighed as the four girls erupted into a conversation he didn't care for, instead, he silently contacted Sarah and Erick to communicate telepathically with them.

"Are we sure letting them be aware of us is a good idea?" Erick asked. "I know Weiss was doing fine…but…we do need to keep in mind our own sake and the people here. That's why you let Rhea fly off, so she wouldn't transform into the Immaculate one."

"Yes…but…I think they understand the risks." Sarah replied, her tone seemed uncertain. "Ruby is reacting just about like how any person would if their favorite fictional character came to life."

"You can make that argument just about everywhere." Erick replied back. "It still doesn't mean they should know. If the word keeps spreading in Remnant, pretty soon there won't be a soul who doesn't know, and the last thing we need is a bunch of people storming us."

"You make a good point, Erick." Moon replied. "However, we might as well put our trust in them…these are the four that Ozpin has placed in high regard. It would not surprise me if he puts more into them in the future, more that we might be able to take advantage of."

With telepathic communication only taking a few seconds, the three of them blinked back to reality.

"Well," Moon cleared his throat to get the four girl's attention back to them. "Now that you know about us, and by us, I mean the Super Smash Brothers, we are placing great trust in you four to keep your mouths shut."

"We can do that for you." Weiss replied, before looking at her teammates. "Right?" Ruby, Yang, and Blake each nodded in agreement.

"Good." Sarah replied. "Because…well…we're not the only ones."

The team of four each raised their eyebrows.

"Two nights ago, the highway bridge." Moon said. "We were actually out there because of an old enemy of ours. Seiros, or, as you probably know her, Lady Rhea."

"Ah, yeah, that weird woman from the 3 Houses game that kept trying to hit on the vessel body that she placed her mother's soul in." Ruby put a finger to her chin. "Wait…if Crimson Flower is the canonical route that your world took…then…shouldn't Rhea be dead? Sapphire's only allowed to be a unit in Crimson Flower, and is an enemy in every other route."

"What you see is not always what you get." Erick shook his head irritably. "After all, our friend Dyson didn't die in Mother 4, did he?"

"Ah, yeah…I guess he didn't." Ruby's silver eyes lit up again. "Oh, that reminds me!" She looked at Erick. "Is it true that your friend Tony is gay?"

Erick's face flushed red as his own teammates, along with Weiss each looked at him with raised eyebrows.

"I…I guess I never thought of it like that…" The genius rubbed the back of his black hair. "To be honest, I always just saw him as being a good friend…before…" Moon flinched as the genius' voice trailed off.

"Err, Ruby…how about we don't ask such personal questions." Each of Team MESS breathed a sigh of relief as Weiss looked at her leader hopefully.

"Yeah, guess you're right." Ruby said.

"Wait…so that kid Weiss mentioned that kidnapped Sarah…was that Pokey? Your old uh…how should I say…acquaintance?" Yang asked.

"Not technically our Pokey Minch. But still Pokey." Sarah shuddered at the thought. "It's a super long story about that."

"So…that's why you four are here then?" Blake asked, crossing her arms. "Because two of your own problems just so happened to slip into our realm. I guess that's what your scouting found."

"Yes…" Moon replied. "We've had issues with people doing so in the past, meddling with things they shouldn't have. Plus, the fact that your world wasn't discovered until recently, means that the two of them have known about it longer than we have. So…you know…need to make sure there aren't any problems…So…" he, and his friends stretched out their hands. "Are we good?"

Team RWBY each nodded their heads and shook their hands. "Good. You'll need our help."

"There…I believe that should have been enough to satisfy you." Professor Ozpin sighed as Ironwood looked at the holographic screen projected from the recorded fight between Team RWBY and Team MESS. "You know James, despite the immense power that Moon and Sarah possess. Our students held their own quite well."

"Still, it doesn't mean that they aren't being cautious." Both men turned their eyes to Glynda. Who had her arms crossed with her staff in hand. Her own eyes narrowed behind her glasses. "That Black and Red PSI Blast looked and felt much stronger than what we've seen them display in the past. I understand that Rollin and Love are their dedicated signature powers. But the impact they made on Mrs. Rose, and Mrs. Belladonna should be taken into account."

"The dark sides, Glynda." Ozpin replied calmly. "Those parts of their brains are what impacted that power. However, contrary to what I had initially expected from them, the children seem to have much more control over them than I thought. The fact that Moon was able to snap Sarah out so quickly likely means that they don't want them out. Which is beneficial knowledge for us."

"Speaking of which," Glynda redirected her frown to Ironwood. "What did you need this recording for anyway?"

Ozpin looked at his friend, Ironwood merely sighed. "As you know, Atlas has been working on a project meant to combat these children for a while. We had slowed development until I received your message about them. My team of scientists, those being Pietro and that Andonuts guy requested as much as they could that would tell us about their powers."

"How exactly do you plan on doing that?" Glynda asked, a hint of irritation. "You already saw that the semblance cuffs don't work on them. What makes you think this whole thing to develop countermeasures for the benefit of Remnant suddenly turns into an excuse that this is a contest of measuring dic-"

"That's enough Glynda." Ozpin replied. "Although, she does bring up a good point, James. We developed those Semblance cuffs under the basis that it should've stopped their Dark Sides and PSI powers. Even if it did stop their PSI powers while they are still normal, it didn't stop their Dark Sides from coming out. Which was the biggest reason we wanted those cuffs."

"I know, I'm having my team work on that." Ironwood replied firmly. Ozpin watched as the man placed a hand on his chin, looking at the data screen blueprints for those exact handcuffs. "I just don't understand what went wrong?...Everything they said should've matched up to this. Perhaps we'd need a more technical understanding of how it interacts with their bodies. If they work so well on the Maidens…then they should've worked on the kids."

Ozpin raised an eyebrow. "You used them on Fria? Quite bold on you James."

"I had too, just as a test, in case we ever ran into the person who did that to Autumn."

"Speaking of Autumn." Glynda continued, narrowing her gaze at Ironwood. The holographic screen dinged around. "We still need to think about what we're going to do with her. She doesn't have a lot of time left, and we need a vessel, otherwise we risk the rest of the Maiden Powers transferring to that person. Have you figured it out?"

"Again, we're working on it!" Ironwood grumbled. "It's not like you've found the perfect vessel for it yet. What about Qrow? He still hasn't reported to us."

"Lionheart told us he's okay." Ozpin replied, taking a sip from his coffee mug. "I've been told he'll be back after the dance."

"The dance is still a few nights away. And we could've used an additional huntsman on all those weird field trip scout missions you insist on sending all those kids on."

"I thought the dance was supposed to be tomorrow?" Ironwood raised an eyebrow at Ozpin, as Glynda finished her sentence. "Why'd you change it all of sudden?"

Ozpin took a sip from his coffee mug and pushed a few spots on his electronic desk. Pulling up a map of what looked like an old city of ruins, broken roads and buildings, several species of Grimm of varying sizes just wandering the streets.

"Ah…the old attempt to establish a civilization on Mount Glenn? Luckily we haven't had a population boom in recent years like our data analysts predicted. But still, that was a very unfortunate waste of time and resources just for it to fall apart."

"Indeed," Ozpin replied to Glynda. "However, recent surveying scans have reported a sudden decrease in the amount of Grimm in the area. And it's a suspiciously high decrease as well. Nearly a 60% decrease."

"Yep, definitely worth an investigation, that's absurdly low. But, are you suggesting we send students there?"

"Oh don't worry about who goes to Mount Glenn." Ozpin replied, sipping from his mug. "I expect that there are only two Teams in all of this school currently who will be interested in going. And thankfully, one of them happens to be exactly the four we'd want going."

"And the other four that'll want to go?" Glynda asked. "You know you won't be able to say no to Team RWBY if they see it themselves."

"Professor Oobleck will handle the girls separately. I can make sure of that." Ozpin replied. "Now. Let's go check on Autumn as you requested, James." All three of them walked over and entered the elevator.

"Zoom! Very weird people!" Astro honked, watching the elevator ding shut and begin to go down. "Strange Strange. Autumn nowhere near time? Need vessel? People strange."

The Mr. Saturn peered through the office through the vent cracks. Waiting for the strange men to come back. They did not. "Kay Oh! Me go back now!"

That's all for this month's chapter. Yes, I am completely aware that the Vytal Ballroom dance with Ruby and Cinder coming up and fighting does take place before the events of Mount Glenn. However, I really don't like the pacing of that. I like the idea of them doing the Mount Glenn to get everyone in sort of the mood. I find it better to do things this way. And it totally doesn't have to do with the fact that I'm debating about what I want to do with that scene in the first place. Because if you didn't get the idea from this Chapter. The reason why Cinder is able to keep putting Team MESS in their place is entirely dependent on Emerald. Because yes, I do want to make the villains feel a bit more threatening than normal. Especially considering what I'm throwing them up against.

Also, for those wondering. Yes, I did intend for Team RWBY to eventually figure out Team MESS were from the video games they played before V3. The little scene with Ruby making punch gags at MESS all reference different theories I received from readers before in the first 3 entries.

Look, either way. I've got things to do with everyone, Moon, Sarah, Erick, Sapphire. Team RWBY and my Cult of Ozpin are all over the place and I love developing everything in specific ways and doing certain things. Pokey and Rhea are certainly a step up from everything else, and I'm interested in seeing how things work. A lot of you all love Moon and Sarah, but I can't ignore Erick and Sapphire. Every OC is equal in my eyes.

I hope you all are enjoying this story. I put a lot of effort into these and try carefully to make them enjoyable. So thoughts are always appreciated.

See you all, next month.
