A/N: Some sweet brother moments in this chapter :)

Chapter 10 – I Want Them to Find Us

True to William's word, the lights went off long after it had gone dark outside, much to the relief of the boys. Not like it helped either way though; neither one got very much sleep, considering their still cuffed up positions. They both squeezed their eyes when the lights abruptly came back on again. 'No way was that 4 hours,' Danny thought. He had his head against the wall, but he looked down when he heard some movement and silent groans coming from the floor. "You okay?" he asked his brother, receiving a nod in response. "Did you sleep at all?"

"Not really," Jamie quietly replied, holding back another shudder.

Danny sighed. "He better freaking come in soon and take these damn things off," he huffed.

Almost on command, the door then unlocked and slowly opened, revealing their captor, his gun in his hand. Danny straightened up as best as he could when he saw him. "I hope you boys have learned your lesson," he told them, glaring at the elder Reagan.

"Yes, we have. I promise we won't do anything like that again," Danny told him, hoping William would finally uncuff them.

Instead he looked down at the younger Reagan, whose back was to him. "What about you Jamie?" he asked, nudging him with his foot, intentionally touching his bruised and sore side.

Jamie hissed in pain and arched his back away. "Yes, I'm sorry. It won't happen again," he said, turning his head a little towards William's direction.

Their kidnapper smiled. "Good." He then put his gun in his waistband, dug into his pocket for the key and bent down. He unlocked the cuffs around Jamie's wrists, taking them away after he undid both. Jamie closed his eyes in relief, but also squeezed them a little when he had moved his arms slightly. William then walked over to Danny. "If you do anything—," he started to say as he got closer.

"I won't, I swear to God I won't," Danny whispered as he shook his head. Luckily that was good enough because his handcuffs were soon removed as well, but he didn't dare move until William had backed away.

Before he left the prison, he turned back to face them. "I still stand by what I said yesterday, as you could tell from what time the lights went off last night…I mean, this morning. You better get used to that because I'm going to make you regret what you did," he told them. "I'll be back later with your soup…I'm not sure when. It'll be random every day; whenever I feel like it." He grinned one last time before he closed the door and locked it.

Once he was gone, Danny cautiously moved his stiff arms, wincing a little in pain. He then rubbed his wrists as he got off the cot, noticing the red marks around them. He went over to his brother, who hadn't moved since his cuffs came off. "Hey, let's get you to the bed and under the blanket," he told him gently.

Jamie nodded, his eyes closed. He let his brother help him up, going slowly as he gritted his teeth through the pain. He wasn't sure if it was all from the beating or if some of it was from the soreness from lying on the floor all night and shivering. Eventually through sweat and a little bit of tears that were forbidden to fall, they made it to Jamie's cot. Danny gently laid his brother down and covered him up with the wool blanket. Not the most comfortable, but it will work to get him warm. Once he was settled on his side and wrapped up, Danny had sat at the edge of his brother's bed, not wanting to leave his side. "Thanks," Jamie said weakly after some silence.

Danny looked down at him. "No problem," he whispered, giving a small smile.

"How are your wrists?" Jamie asked, noticing the marks that his brother now sported.

"They're fine," Danny replied, looking down at and rubbing them.

Jamie nodded again, bringing the blanket up closer to his face. "It's still not your fault," he said, his eyes closed. Danny glanced over at him, giving him a look. "I can see that," Jamie murmured, not opening his eyes.

"Yeah, yeah," Danny grumbled back, standing up briefly. "Move it," he said, gently swatting at his brother's legs.

Jamie peeked out to see what he was doing, moving his legs back as he did.

Danny sat back down on the bed, his back against the wall. Then he grabbed Jamie's legs and placed them on his lap. "There," he said, resting his hands on them and leaning his head back with his eyes closed.

Jamie grinned and closed his eyes again as he settled back down. "You're so annoying," he mumbled.

"Right back at ya," Danny retorted as he lightly squeezed Jamie's leg, his eyes still shut. They fell into a comfortable silence as they did their best to catch up on some much needed sleep.

BB-BB-BB-BB

They stayed that way until William had come back down hours later, their soup trays at the bottom of the stairs as usual. "Isn't that sweet…postcard moment right there," he sneered, a grin on his face.

Both boys woke up when they heard the door unlock, but only Danny heard the comment; he just rolled his eyes as he sat up a bit straighter on Jamie's cot. "Come on Danny…it looks like your brother can barely move, so it looks like you might be doing this for a while," William told him, grinning when he thought about what he did the night before.

Danny clenched his jaw when he saw the look on his face. He moved Jamie's legs off of him and stood up while Jamie struggled to sit up himself, the blanket still wrapped around his shoulders. William didn't say any threats, but Danny could tell by the look in his eye that he better not do anything…not that he was going to anyways, not with Jamie's condition. He went through the door and grabbed the trays, then brought them back over to his brother, sitting down in his previous spot as he did so.

"Very good…now that wasn't so hard, was it?" William asked as he glared at them before turning around and walking out.

Danny just rolled his eyes again as he heard the locks be set in place. "What is this?" he heard his brother mumble next to him.

He looked at his own bowl and then over to Jamie. "Who cares, it's the only food we'll be getting today…just eat it," he said as he took a bite of the bread that was with it.

Jamie grimaced as he took a spoonful of the questionable soup, eating it slowly as he went, using his bread slice as a break from the blandness. It took them a bit longer than usual to finish the meal; Danny had just barely sat back down from putting the trays by the door when it was opened again and William peeked in to quickly grab them.

Now both boys were sitting similarly on Jamie's bed; Danny on one end with his back against the wall and head leaned up against it, his legs hanging over the side, Jamie on the other end, sitting cross legged, the blanket now in his lap. "How are you feeling?" Danny asked him, turning his head to look at his brother.

Jamie had his eyes closed. "A lot better than earlier…but it still hurts to make any big or sudden movements."

Danny nodded his head, looking straight ahead. "Well let me know if anything gets worse, alright?" he asked quietly.

"Yeah," came the just as quiet reply. "I want them to find us," Jamie continued after some silence. He looked over at his older brother when he said that. "I don't know how much longer we can last down here…how much longer I can last…"

Danny lifted his head up and looked over at him again. "They will Jamie. Dad, Baez, all of them, they're not gonna give up. And as long as we continue to get food and water and not do anything else to get him mad, we're going to be okay. We're Reagans, alright? Like you said, we have that stubborn Irishness in us," he told him, smiling at the last statement.

Jamie gave a sly grin in return, shaking his head when he eventually looked away. "Okay, okay," he said.

"You gonna be good?" Danny asked him.

"Yeah, I guess…still don't wanna be here though," Jamie grumbled the last part.

"Yeah well neither do I," Danny replied as he got up off of Jamie's cot and went over to his own, laying down on his back with his hands behind his head. Jamie also got up, slowly, and then resumed the position he was in before William came in with their food, minus the blanket wrapped around him. He sent up another silent prayer as he laid on his side before he closed his eyes and tried going back to sleep.

A/N: Next chapter we'll see how Frank and the rest of the Reagans are doing :)
