Day 2: "Don't worry, I got you."

She really wanted to finish putting all the decorations before the weekend, and the kids, came. Saying she was exhausted was an euphemism. She couldn't remember the last time she felt that tired, maybe when the kids were little and Jack had just left… But then she was much more younger, and high on fear of losing her house.

Now, she just couldn't get back from that stupid cold plus they had been out working for 72h straight.

She felt a wave of dizziness as she got on her tiptoes, hanging her friendly skeleton to the curtain pole. Just as she lost her balance, she felt two strong hands grab her hips and an instant later, her feet were firmly on the floor.

"Don't worry, I got you." Said the deep voice behind her, his owner kissing her neck.

Oh, how true it felt. Never before had she felt so secure and cherished. She let her weight rest against his strong body, too happy to have someone to lean on, for the very first time in her life.
