Someone asked for a "jealousy" chapter so here it is. Hope you'll it. I had this idea of doing it in two parts: one for Sharon then one for Andy being jealous but life... They really need to start making 30h days! lol

Day 25: "Do I look like I knew that?"

She managed as best she could to keep her ire down until they were home. She nearly lost it while they drove home but she was quite proud of herself not to. The moment they passed the condo's door, though… In her home, she stopped being the Captain and let Sharon's hurt and anger express themselves.

"How could you do that to me, Andy?" She asked in a clipped tone, her voice dangerously quiet.

She didn't need to give him more context, he knew perfectly well what she was talking about. "I was stupid, alright." It hurt to think she wasn't trusting him but he also knew what she had endured with Jack. "Like I said, Jason's my realtor and he wasn't available for visiting the house and it's such an amazing house. I didn't want us to miss that chance. So when he said his colleague could show it to me I jumped on the occasion. I didn't plan on her getting murdered. I didn't know she … Do I look like I knew she was…"

He stopped looking at her and starting pacing, lost in his rambling. "Well, he said she was a man eater and not to trust her. Ok, he said to bring condoms too…" He didn't see Sharon's astonished expression, her eyebrows nearly reaching her airline, eyes big as saucers. "And, yeah, I might have looked at her boobs, and her ass.."

"Oh my God, Andy!" She yelled. "How stupid are you?" She was starting to get agitated. "How can you tell me you were looking at another woman?"

He tilted his head to the side, pensive. "Do you prefer me not to tell you?"

She took a step toward him, her back straight, chin held high. "I'd prefer you don't look at them."

He laughed. "Well, Babe, it's not going to happen." Seeing she clearly wasn't amused, he reached to caress her arms, trying to close the gap that was forming between them. "I have eyes and I'm a man. Of course I'm going to look at women, doesn't mean I'm going to do anything else than looking." He grabbed her hand and made her sit next to him on the sofa. "I love you, Sharon. I would never cheat on you. I never cheated on anyone in my whole life. I know I have a certain reputation… I never cheated on one of my ex-wife and the women I dated after her… We weren't really involved, we had fun together and that was it. There was rarely a commitment like I have with you and when I commit to someone, I really do."

Tears well up in her eyes, moved by his words and by the old wounds it brought back. "Fine. I trust you." She looked into his eyes. "I trust you." She repeated, more to convince herself. "Don't disappoint me." She added in a small voice.

He pulled her in his arms. "I won't" He promised in a quiet voice near her ear, hugging her.

She pulled back slightly to look into his eyes, a sly smile on her lips. "And stop being stupid."

He laughed while bringing her back into his arms. "Oh that, I can't promise."
