AN: HAPPY THIRD YEAR ANNIVERSARY ON A03! Wow, three years now. And I mangled to finish the chapter today, also! Welp, hope you all enjoy it.
The U.A. students were taken to the hospital, and that's where they spent the remainder of the night. Each of them had been treated for their wounds, the only exception being Setsuna as she didn't receive any lasting injuries thanks to her Quirk, having stayed at the hospital due to fatigue.
By morning, each of them was sore from the previous night, the events of which were still on their minds. Iida and Izuku had walked to the room the girls stayed in, each of them in separate hospital beds. "How is everyone doing?" Iida asked, his arm wrapped in bandages where Stain's knife hit.
"For the most part, fine," Setsuna answered. "Though I wasn't able to get much sleep last night."
"Me neither," Todoroki nodded.
"Yeah," Izuku nodded. "I keep thinking about last night. It was… pretty crazy," he also knew he needed to call Rias, his mom, and the others soon, to keep them from worrying too much.
"That's one way to put it," Itsuka muttered, her shoulders covered in bandages due to the Nomu's talons.
Milia looked at 1-B's class rep in concern. "Are you going to be okay, Itsuka?"
"The doctors said I shouldn't lift anything at all for a few days," Itsuka answered, though she knew that wasn't what Milia was asking about.
"After what happened yesterday, it feels like it is a miracle we are still alive," Iida said. "We are just first-year hero students beginning to get real-world experience, and the Hero Killer is someone that has taken down countless Pros. Just coming out of it alive was an achievement in itself. And yet… I can't help but feel he let us win."
"What do you mean?" Liana asked.
"Had I acted on selfish intentions like I originally planned, I highly doubt the Hero Killer would have spared me," Iida said. "For a moment, I was no different from the heroes Stain so despised."
"Iida, don't let what the Hero Killer said get to you. He was just a fundamental lunatic," Todoroki said.
"The Hero Killer isn't exactly wrong, though," Liana pointed out. "Not all heroes are exactly 'hero material'. Not all pros got their license to help people."
Iida then recalled something the Hero Killer had said before Izuku had arrived. "Yes… Stain did mention Silver Falcon."
"Silver Falcon?" Todoroki asked. "I've never heard of them."
"I have," Itsuka said. "He was a corrupt hero that bullied small businesses." Silver Falcon was a pro hero who used his power and authority to extort and threaten several small businesses near his office, often staging robberies and villain attacks before showing up to 'save the day'. And if they weren't able to pay, Silver Falcon hired thugs to attack, stopping them himself. He even had several members of the police in his pocket.
"Yes," Liana nodded. "Then my parents managed to expose him as their debut." Zero and Guren discovered his misdeeds and took him down in a very public display in less than a week. Their debut is still one of the highest-ranking hero debuts on YouTube. She then saw the conflicted look on Iida's face. "I'm not saying what Stain did was right. What I'm saying is that he isn't wrong. My father taught me that it's easy to see the world in black in white, especially in a superhuman society like ours, but it's still just shades of gray, some darker and some lighter."
"Speaking of last night," Setsuna glanced over at Itsuka. "Who the heck was that scary spider lady? Why was she after you?"
Itsuka hesitated to answer because she wasn't sure how to answer at all. Honestly, she couldn't get what that Lailah said last night out of her head. Her being half-devil, Izuku and Milia beings devils as well. So what did that make Lailah? What was she?
"I…"
The door shuffled open, revealing Manual, Thunder Fist, Ryukyu, and Nejire. "You're all awake!" Nejire beamed as she ran in.
"Manual…" Iida muttered noticing the disapproving look on Manual's face.
"How are you all feeling overall?" Ryukyu asked. She was answered by a chorus of 'sore.' "I expected as much."
"There are quite a few things we want to say," Akihiko said. "But before that, you kids have a visitor."
On cue, the door opened again, and a dog-headed man wearing a black suit and tie walked in, easily towering over the Heroes. The teenagers made to stand, but the newcomer waved his hand.
"Please, there's no need to stand up on ceremony, woof," the man said.
'Woof?' Izuku comically thought. He had the same kind of verbal tic as Tsuyu. 'Does that mean that Asui says kero because it's genetic and not because it's cute?'
"I am Tsuragamae Kenji, Chief of the Police Force, woof, and you six are the ones that brought down the Hero Killer, right?"
"Yes, that was us," Liana said, and the others nodded. 'Why did the Chief of Police come all the way here? Wouldn't it have been a matter for an inspector?' She thought.
"I've come to tell you about a few matters… Stain, for example, is currently being treated under heavily strict guard for the multiple burns, cuts, and broken bones, woof. He'll make it, but he'll be brought to trial as soon as possible and quite likely sentenced to Tartarus."
"What about that other villain? The one with the spider Quirk?" Liana asked.
"Unfortunately, she managed to slip away. But the more serious problem is about your actions in general, woof."
"What do you mean?" Izuku asked.
"If I am not mistaken, none of you have gained their Provisional Hero License, which meant that a good part of what you did is under a rather gray area, woof." Iida, Liana, Setsuna, and Izuku all began to grow uneasy, having a feeling about where this is going. "Even if what Native said was true."
"Native?" Iida gasped.
"Native said he gave you all permission to use your Quirks to fight the Hero Killer and the other villains," said Tsuragamae.
Each of the students looked at the police chief in confusion. Native never gave them permission. Why would he lie?
Tsuragamae continued. "Whether or not Native was telling the truth, he did vouch for all of you, woof. Young Iida, in particular. He wants to repay the young heroes who saved his life. But his words hold very little weight, as he isn't a hero any of you are interning with. You have to understand that situations like this are… complicated and delicate. If the public learns about what happened, the majority will praise you for stopping the Hero Killer, but a few would berate you for doing so outside the law. It would not be surprising if a few news outlets demanded your expulsion from U.A. And once word got to the HPSC that you all acted without orders, they would've demanded all of you, as well as your mentors, to receive strict punishments."
"You cannot be serious!" Todoroki growled.
"That's total bullshit!" Setsuna exclaimed.
"Todoroki!/Setsuna!" Izuku and Itsuka tried to calm down their classmates.
"However, some of you truly were given permission to use your Quirks in the event you engaged against a villain, woof," Tsuragamae added, causing Todoroki and Setsuna to stop.
Izuku, Milia, and Itsuka all perked up.
"I am well aware that Midoriya, Takamaki, and Kendo all had permission to use their Quirks to defend themselves against the Nomu creatures and any other villains, but only if necessary, woof. Given the circumstances, you each acted accordingly. Of course, the rest of you still didn't receive permission from the heroes you interned with. That said, there are two options open for you. What I described was option one."
"What's option two?" Milia hesitantly asked.
"Option two is to keep the info you defeated Stain hidden, woof."
Todoroki looked down. "Are you saying that we have to even keep the info that we encountered the Hero Killer confidential?"
The chief shook his head. "I'm afraid that's impossible… The video of the Hero Killer released to the public catches glimpses of you at the scene, so we wouldn't be able to hide that you were there."
"Wait… VIDEO!?" Izuku's exclaimed in shock.
"Yes," Tsuragamae nodded. "Someone managed to record the Hero Killer's speech. Still, in spite of that, it's quite fortunate that the circumstances of Stain's arrest are only known to those Pro Heroes on site. The burns Stain suffered could be explained away by claiming it was the work of Endeavor, woof. I know it will seem unfair to you, but I would rather not be the one to cut the wings off such promising young ones."
"Your planning to give credit to Endeavor? He did nothing!" Todoroki snapped.
"Which is why I have a third option, one you seemed to have ignored, Tsuragamae," someone else said from the door. Liana, Izuku, Milia, and Setsuna all recognized the voice as the owner entered the room.
"Father?" Liana gasped.
"Why are you here, Zero?" Tsuragamae asked. "And what's this third option you mentioned? Woof."
"What? Can't a concerned father visit his baby girl in the hospital?" Zero said, causing Liana to blush in embarrassment a little. "As for the third option, it's simple: we tell the truth, just not all of it."
Everyone in the room, especially Tsuragamae, looked confused. Except for Ryukyu, who smiled, having realized what Zero has planned.
"What do you-?"
"Here's what we say. Native got taken down by Stain in a surprise attack, and Iida stumbled across them after getting separated from Manual during all the chaos caused by the Nomu attacks." Zero explained, Ryukyu discreetly taking out her phone. "He's infuriated by the sight of the man who maimed his brother but does his best to rescue Native, only to fail due to the difference in skill between him and the Hero Killer. Midoriya arrives next, having gone to look for Iida as Ryukyu instructed, sending out a text message to his classmates, with Todoroki, Liana, Milia, and Setsuna responding.
"They try to contain Stain, only for Kendo to arrive, being chased by another villain, with the winged Nomu arriving not long after. Having received Native's permission, they all fight back to defend themselves against the three villains before the pros arrive, with Endeavor finishing off the Hero Killer, but the spider villain escaped, while the Nomu attempted to escape with Kendo, only to be killed by Stain, as depicted in the video."
"That's all well and good, woof," Tsuragamae said. "But I still believe that-"
"Tsuragamae, I strongly suggest going with option three," Zero interrupted the dog-headed man. "Because the choice has already been made."
"What?" The Police Chief muttered.
"What?" Most of the students all said, except for Liana.
"What?" Manual and Akihiko asked.
"What did you do?" Liana asked her father.
"Endeavor and Hawks are already answering questions about what happened," Ryukyu revealed, holding out her phone so that the Tsuragamae would see the screen. "And they described exactly what Zero said."
"Eh!?" The students all gasped while Tsuragamae's eyes widened.
Manual and Akihiko stared at Zero in shock before Akihiko began laughing.
Nejire smiled as she faced her kouhai. "Isn't that great guys?"
"Yeah, great," Setsuna muttered nervously.
The chief sighed, placing a hand on his snout. "I suppose there's nothing that can be done about this now," he turned toward the students and bowed. "And again as the chief of police, thank you for getting that man off the streets. You have saved countless lives with your heroics." With that, Tsuragamae turned to leave.
"Before you leave, sir, I have a question," Zero spoke up.
"Go ahead, woof."
"Is the reason you wanted to hide the fact they defeated Stain truly because you wanted to protect them, or was it because you didn't want to admit that a few kids did more last night than the entire Hosu police force?"
Tsuragamae froze, unable to say anything for a moment. "…I simply wanted to ensure that their careers as bright young heroes would be safe. Have a good day," he finally said before leaving.
Zero shook his head, having expected that.
"I don't understand. Why would the police be concerned about not being able to contribute to providing aid?" Iida asked.
"Tenya, you still have a lot to learn," Manual sighed. "Well, either way… we still need to take responsibility for being negligent in our supervisory duties, given we lost track of you last night," the Normal Hero added, gazing at Iida, who bowed at the Hero.
"I am truly sorry for creating such problems for you," he said, cringing as Manual gave him a light chop to the back of his head.
"Well, you better not repeat it, kid!"
"I won't!"
"Well, anyway, you kids better rest up," Akihiko said. "As soon as you're given the all-clear, it's back to training Battle Fist!"
Itsuka nodded with a determined look. "Right!"
"But what if the HPSC does try something?" Setsuna asked.
"Don't worry," Zero said. "I have ways of keeping them back."
"I'm coming to you live from Ekou Street in Hosu City," announces a reporter off the TV in the corner of the bar. "Last night, just after 8 pm, the Hero Killer Stain was arrested by Endeavor after engaging in combat against several U.A. Students, on this very block. While the details are currently unknown, it has been confirmed that Stain wasn't the only villain. One of the Nomu creatures was here as well along with an unknown villain with a Spider Quirk, who managed to escape. Based on eyewitness descriptions, this third villain was later seen with two figures who are believed to be members of the League of-"
"I hate this," Shigaraki growled. It had been a few hours since the news about the Hero Killer's arrest broke out. Not only did it overshadow the attacks caused by his Nomus, but that damned dragon brat was mentioned as having played a role in taking Stain down!
Lailah hummed, staring at the television as a news station talked about a possible connection between Stain and the League of Villains. Kurogiri then turned off the TV, nothing how Shigaraki seemed more irritable than usual.
["You may have lost the battle Tomura, but the war still wages,"] the television set on the wall crackled out. ["Stain's final speech was recorded, which we can use to our advantage. Pass that video onto the brokers, and have them spread Stain's message claiming that he had joined the league. Use that man's charisma to attract better prospects as I suggested before."]
"Yes, Sensei I will, even though I won't like it," the cyan-haired man said. "Though, I am curious. Who recorded that video?" Shigaraki wondered, taking a sip from his drink.
He then got his answer. "That would be me," an all too familiar voice spoke from the door. Opening, a woman with a very well-developed body, wearing a form-fitting halter-style black dress that shows off her shoulders and cleavage, black thigh-high boots, black fingerless gloves, and a black mask with a large, stylized dark green E, walked in. The mask completely concealed her face, with only the green outlines around the eyeholes revealing any part of her face.
"Oh, it's you," Shigaraki groaned.
"Ah, I'm glad to see you too, Tomura," the woman greeted cheerfully.
"Kurogiri, get me something stronger."
"Who's she?" Lailah asked.
"This is Miss E, the acquaintance I mentioned," Kurogiri revealed as he got Shigaraki a stronger drink.
"A pleasure," Miss E gave a slight bow. "I've heard much about you… angel."
Lailah's eyes narrowed. "So you know what I am. And who, or what, are you?"
"Just someone with grand ambitions…"
"Well, that was something," Setsuna muttered. It had been a few hours since the meeting with the Police Chief, and now they had just seen a news broadcast regarding the Hero Killer. Just as Zero said, the truth was mostly intact, and already they're being praised on social media for fighting the Hero Killer by themselves.
"Yeah," Izuku nodded.
"I am still shocked that Zero did that for us," Iida said. "After last night, I half expected Aizawa-sensei to arrive and expel us."
"Well, you may be," Liana smirked, causing Iida to gasp in horror. "Still, we got lucky. I heard about similar cases. They… don't always end well."
"By the way, there's something that's been bothering me since last night," Todoroki looked over at Itsuka and Milia. "What did that spider villain mean by calling you devils?"
Itsuka, Milia, and Izuku's eyes all dilated.
"Oh yeah, she did call you that," Setsuna nodded. "And not long after, I noticed you two and Izuku looked like you had sudden headaches. What's up with that?"
"Uh, well…" Milia struggled to find what to say.
"She… she must've said that to distract us!" Izuku said, waving his arms.
"Y-Yeah!" Milia nodded. "It was a pretty intense fight. She just wanted to distract us, that's all!"
"Midoriya, Takamaki, you can drop the act," Liana said. "No one's buying it."
"What act?" Izuku nervously asked. "We're just-"
"God," Liana suddenly said, causing Izuku, Milia, and Itsuka to flinch in pain.
Iida, Todoroki, and Setsuna all blinked in surprise. "What just happened?" Iida asked.
"Simply saying the G-word damages Devils, even when someone is simply saying it in close proximity," Liana answered simply.
"And you know this how?" Izuku robotically asked.
"My parents are friends with an immortal witch with a love of pizza… who never gets fat despite pizza being all she eats," Liana answered with a shake of her head.
"Wait, what?!" Setsuna exclaimed. "Can someone please explain what in God's name-"
Izuku, Milia, and Itsuka all flinched in pain again.
"Sorry," Setsuna sheepishly said. "But seriously, what is going on?"
Izuku, sighed, seeing no reason to continue lying. "We're devils."
Iida, Setsuna, and Todoroki all stared at Izuku for a few seconds.
"Hah?!" Iida and Setsuna exclaimed while Todoroki continued to stare in shock.
"Haha, real funny," Setsuna tried to laugh. But then she saw the serious looks on Milia and Izuku's faces. "Holy shit, you guys are serious."
"Yeah," Milia nodded. "I'm a succubus, Izuku is a reincarnated devil, and Itsuka is half-devil."
"So… devils… are real?!" Iida exclaimed.
"And so are angels, yokai, vampires, witches, werewolves, fairies, gods," Milia counted off. "They're all real."
"…Aliens too?" Todoroki asked.
"Jury's still out on them," a new voice replied.
"Huh?" Everyone turned toward the window. There, having on the edge, was a familiar pale blue-haired girl.
"Hey," Fuyuko casually greeted.
The occupants of the room all screamed in surprise, except for Todoroki who let out a soft gasp. "Fuyuko!?" Izuku and Milia exclaimed. "How did you get here?" Milia asked.
"When I heard about what happened, I took the train and came as soon as I could."
"No, I get that. I meant how did you get here?"
"I walked."
"I mean the window!"
"I climbed."
"…"
"…Midoriya. What did Takamaki mean you're a reincarnated devil?" Todoroki asked.
"…What she said," Izuku answered. "I was born mostly human, with some dragon heritage, but after a certain… incident, I was killed and was revived into a devil by Buchou, using something called E- uh, Devil's Pieces," Izuku quickly amended. 'Iida probably wouldn't be happy that something with 'Evil' in its name is the reason I'm alive. Why are they even called Evil Pieces anyway?'
"Wait, you died!?" Setsuna gasped.
"I rather not go into details."
"Fair enough," Iida nodded.
"Wait, so you really are part dragon?" Setsuna asked excitedly.
Izuku nodded, causing Setsuna to squeal in delight.
"She seems excited," Fuyuko noted as she climbed into the room with Milia's help.
"Are you a devil also?" Todoroki asked.
"No, I'm a Yuki-onna."
"A Yuki-onna!?" Iida asked. He had heard stories about youkai such as Yuki-onna, and not all of them were good. He certainly hope this 'Fuyuko' was a friendly one.
"Huh…" Todoroki simply nodded.
"You're an ice lady?" Setsuna asked.
Fuyuko answered by turning her hand into ice claws.
"Oh, cool," Setsuna smirked.
Fuyuko groaned.
"You guys sure are taking this well," Izuku hummed. "You're not scared or freaked out at all?"
"Not really," Setsuna shrugged. "I mean, I knew something was off about you guys, so I was kinda expecting something like this."
"I… will process this later," Iida muttered.
"It is surprising, though I suppose I'm just better at hiding it," Todoroki admitted. "Is it really okay for you to tell us, though?"
"Well, normally we're not allowed to talk about this," Izuku admitted. "But I don't see any harm in telling you guys this.
"So you won't erase our memories of this conversation?" Liana asked.
"You can erase memories?" Todoroki asked, looking at them suspiciously. Iida and Setsuna looked nervous, but Liana didn't seem to care.
"I prefer not to," Izuku answered, Milia nodding.
"Very well," Todoroki nodded. "By the way, why do you get headaches whenever someone mentions God?"
Izuku, Milia, and Itsuka to flinch in pain again. "Todoroki!"
"Sorry," she apologized.
"I'm curious myself," Liana said. "I know saying His name causes you some damage, but why?"
"I asked my mother that, once," Milia started. "According to her, when the original Lucifer, one of His first living creations, rebelled against Him and created beings that are the exact opposite to true Angels in essence and purpose, he…didn't take it well. My mom told me that he added that punishment to His System to act as a reminder to every Devil, Pureblood or Reincarnated, that He is watching and punishing us for the sin our existence reminds him of."
"Huh… sounds like a bad case of sour grapes to me." Setsuna shrugged.
"That woman did say it was petty and spiteful," Itsuka said, surprised herself.
"I always thought that He was supposed to be kind and forgiving," Todoroki said.
"No one knows the mind of the God of the Bible, not even His Angels, especially since he's dead," Milia added, before quickly covering her mouth with wide eyes while Izuku looked at her in shock.
"What?" Liana, Iida, Setsuna, Itsuka, and Todoroki all muttered.
"The God of the Bible is dead?" Iida asked in shock.
"Yeah," Izuku slowly nodded.
"…No more talking about life-changing shit, please," Setsuna muttered. "Let's focus on something else, like…" she turned her gaze at Itsuka.
Izuku and Milia clued in on what Setsuna was trying to say and looked to Itsuka as well.
"Itsuka, are you really half-devil?" Setsuna asked.
Itsuka sighed. "Apparently I am, others saying you-know-who would hurt me. But that's the thing, I never knew about any of this before now… oh, it does explain why I don't like being near shrines and churches."
"So you had no idea at all?" Izuku asked, Itsuka shaking her head.
"How could you not know that you're part devil?" Setsuna asked.
"It's not that surprising. Humans with supernatural ancestry aren't uncommon," Milia said. "Most of the time they're unaware, especially if the supernatural part of their heritage goes back more than two generations."
"Yeah, I'm part dragon and none of us had any clue until not long after I became a devil," Izuku added.
"But she said that I'm half-devil," Itsuka lowered her head in thought. "Does that mean one of my parents was a devil?"
"Do you have any idea who?" Fuyuko asked, having taken a chair in the room and sat down.
"My father ran a martial arts school in Chiba, one of the best," she smiled fondly. "He taught me everything I know. But…" her smile soon faded. "One day, five years ago, a fire started at our house and he… didn't make it."
The room grew quiet as what Itsuka said sank in. "I'm sorry," Izuku said.
"Thank you," Itsuka replied.
"What about your mother?" Fuyuko asked.
"I never knew my mother," Itsuka revealed, a sad look in her eyes.
"Never?" Iida repeated.
"It was just me and my dad. He didn't have any relatives I knew of. After he died, the dojo closed and I was put into foster care."
"Maybe your mom was a devil," Milia suggested.
"Hmm, maybe," Itsuka humid in thought. "But I have no idea who my mother is, so there's no way to find out."
"Mizu-sensei may be able to help," Izuku suggested.
"Ryūtō-sensei?" Iida questioned. "Is she a devil as well?"
"No, Mizu-sensei is a sorcerer," Izuku said. "If anyone can help Kendo, it'll be her," Izuku then stood up, making his way to the door. "I'm heading out for a bit. I need to let everyone know that I'm okay."
"Right, because of the message you sent," Todoroki nodded. As Izuku left the room, Milia's eyes followed, the girl placing a hand over her chest.
Izuku made his way to the telephone area of the hospital's lobby. He didn't have to pick who to text and/or call first, as someone was already calling him. "{YOU FOUGHT THE HERO KILLER?!}" The unmistakable voice of his mother screamed on his phone. He had to pull it away from his ear because of how loud it was. "{ARE YOU OKAY?! YOU'RE NOT HURT, ARE YOU!?}"
"Mom, I'm fine," Izuku answered once Inko had calmed down some. "I just took a few bad hits. I'll be fine."
"{That's good to hear. Eri and the other girls were worried sick when they saw the news.}"
Izuku blinked. "It wasn't just Rias with you last night?"
"{All of your friends from your club were here.}" Inko replied. "{I invited them for dinner but then we saw the news and they stayed for the night. They were all really worried.}"
"I'll text them in a bit. How is Eri doing?"
"{She's doing okay now. Do you want to talk to her?}"
"Yeah," Izuku nodded.
He could hear his mom move the phone, hearing her call out Eri's name. "{…Hello? Izuku?}"
"Hey, Eri," Izuku greeted with a smile, even though the girl couldn't see it. "Are you doing okay?"
"{Yeah. When are you coming home?}"
"I'll be back by Sunday at most. Be a good girl for mom and Rias until then, okay?"
"{Okay.}" He could imagine Eri nodding in agreement. They continued to talk for a few more minutes before Eri handed the phone back to Inko, after which Izuku said his goodbyes and ended the call. He then spent the next few minutes texting his friends and classmates, saying how he and the others were okay. A couple of them, like Rias, Momo, Ravel, and Mina, responded right away, while the rest hadn't, likely because they were too busy at the moment.
Once that was taken care of, Izuku walked back to the room he was sharing with Iida. Along the way, he ran into Milia.
"Milia-san?"
"Izuku, can we talk for a moment? Privately?" She asked.
"Uh, sure," Izuku nodded. Milia then beckoned him to follow, her leading him down the hall. Soon they arrived back at the room the girls were sharing.
"Where's everyone else?" Izuku couldn't help but ask as they walked in.
"They went out for a bit, either to have the doctors check up on them or to use the bathroom or in Iida's case, make sure Fuyuko has proper permission to visit," Milia answered before taking a deep breath. "Izuku."
"Yes?"
"Do you have any idea how scared I was when I got your text last night?"
Izuku was taken aback by her question. "I… Uh, a lot?"
"'A lot' doesn't even begin to describe it," Milia took a few steps closer. "When I got your message, a million thoughts must've run through my head about what could've happened. Just imagining them…" she shuddered. "Even now, though I know you're safe, I can't help but feel this great pain in my heart at the thought of losing you. Which is why…"
Milia brought one hand up to Izuku's chin and turned his head to face her. While Izuku's big green eyes widened and his face flushed red at the intimate contact, Milia cupped Izuku's cheeks with both hands. "I won't regret doing this. Won't regret finally telling you how I feel." She leaned forward and kissed him, her cheeks a light pink as she did so while Izuku's face turned volcano red.
Milia had often fantasized about what her first kiss with Izuku would be like. The moment her lips touched Izuku's, she felt him jolt. His whole body went stiff but he didn't pull away. As she held his face gently she could feel him relax, lost in the moment, the same as her.
Something warm swelled up in Izuku's chest as he began to kiss her back, bliss overtaking him. He had never felt this way before, not even when Rias had kissed him. Subconsciously, Izuku's right hand slowly rose up, cupping Milia's breast and squeezing it, making the girl moan in pleasure while his left made its way down to Milia's ass, his tongue wrestling with Milia's.
Nothing could ruin this moment…
*CLICK-CLICK*
"…still can't believe how lucky we got. I mean, we could've-WHAT IN BLAZES DO YOU TWO THINK YOU'RE DOING?!"
Liana, Itsuka, and Setsuna had just entered the room, Iida, Todoroki, and Fuyuko standing behind them, coming face to face with Milia and Izuku, making out and in a somewhat compromising position. The two pulled apart, looking at their classmates. Setsuna looked at them with a mixture of surprise, joy, and slight jealously. Liana, the one who screamed, had blank white eyes, her jaw threatening to touch the floor. Itsuka blushed heavily, covering her face with her hands with her eyes peeking through her fingers. Todoroki stared blankly at them, somewhat curiously. Fuyuko's eyes widened in shock. Iida sputtered in place, unable to form a coherent sentence.
Izuku immediately jumped away from Milia, both blushing madly.
"Uh…"
"Erm…"
Words failed them both.
Iida seemed to recover first. "S-Such actions are highly inappropriate for a hospital!" He exclaimed, waving his good arm.
Liana was about to agree, but Setsuna spoke up. "C'mon guys, we can ask the important questions later," Liana opened her mouth to protest, then quickly shut it again, as if she agreed to leave Izuku and Milia in peace. Setsuna snickered softly. "After all, we'd do the same to you, Kozuki, if we caught you and Izuku in similar circumstances," she chuckled, quickly leaving the room.
"I suppose you're right, Tokage. Wait… WHAT?! YOU FIEND! GET BACK HERE!" Liana sputtered, chasing Setsuna with fury in her eyes and a blush on her face.
"No running or yelling! This is a hospital!" Iida yelled as he ran after the two.
Todoroki, stoically, decided to follow.
That left Itsuka and Fuyuko with Izuku and Milia. "So, are you two…" Itsuka tried to say. Some part of her was unsure whether to be mad or amused.
"Uh… are we?" Izuku asked, unsure himself.
"Honestly, I don't care," Milia quickly grabbed Izuku's arm and hugged it. "I don't care if I'm your legal wife or a mistress, as long as I'm part of your life, Izuku, I'm happy," she nuzzled against his shoulder happily.
Izuku blushed but smiled at how happy Milia seemed to be. His smile suddenly vanished and a chill ran up his spine as Fuyuko grabbed his other arm. "Is there room for me?" The Yuki-onna asked.
"If Rias-buchou allows it, then yes," Milia answered before her eyes widened. "Oh, I'm suddenly very glad you guys showed up when you did. Rias probably would've killed me if me and Izuku went too far."
"What do you mean?" Izuku asked.
"My mother told me that succubi and incubi were created by the original Asmodeus to, uh, act as a stress relief," Milia explained, her face blushing. Though it was easy to know what she really meant. "One of our abilities is activated when we kiss someone. We and the recipient both get… excited. And whatever feelings that are there are amplified. Because of that, it's easy to… well…"
"…I see," Izuku muttered, blushing himself as he realized what Milia was implying. That certainly explained the feeling in his pants, and why he had a hard time trying not to stare at the girls… assets ever since the kiss. He sure hope the hospital gown would hide it.
"Yeah," Milia nodded. "Because of that, my kind… isn't very high on the totem pole, so to speak. Most of the Old Devils treat us nearly as low as reincarnated devils, sometimes even lower. And after the Great War, not many of us were left. That's why most of us live in the human world."
As they continued to talk, Itsuka remained silent, something Milia had said earlier repeating in her head. 'Asmodeus… Why does that sound so familiar?'
THUNG!
"Gah!" Itsuka suddenly exclaimed, her head suddenly hurting really badly.
"Kendo!?" Izuku gasped, he, Milia, and Fuyuko looking at Itsuka in concern.
"My head…" Itsuka muttered, placing a hand on her head as the sudden migraine continued, the pain growing so much she nearly collapsed to the ground. It was almost as if her mind was fighting something. Something that kept her from remembering something important to her.
For a brief moment, a face flashed in her mind's eye, one she didn't recognize but knew to fear.
Eventually, the pain subsided. "Ugh…" Itsuka groaned as she stood back up.
"Are you okay?" Izuku asked, Milia and Fuyuko standing by Itsuka in concern.
"Yeah, my head just hurt really bad was all," Itsuka tried to wave off.
"He's alright…!" Momo took deep breaths of relief to see a few texts from Izuku, which reassured her that he was fine after what happened at Hosu.
"Phew…" Tsubasa was beside her friend, enjoying a meal at Fat Gum's agency.
Nearby Fat Gum, enjoying a whole trey of takiyaki, and Tamaki watched with curiosity. "Heh, they must really like this Midoriya guy. He won the Sports Festival for the first-years, right?"
"Yeah," Tamaki nodded. "He reminds me of Mirio, and he really likes him."
"Gush about your boyfriend later, Tamaki," Fat Gum grinned before turning to the girls "All right, we're gonna head out soon. So you better finish up."
"Yes sir."
"He's okay," Rias sighed in relief, having just checked her phone and seen Izuku's text. When she and the others saw that he and a few others were at Hosu and fought the Hero Killer, to say they were worried was a bit of an understatement.
"Thank goodness," Xenovia said. Currently, the ORC members that weren't part of the hero course, except for Koneko and Ravel, were enjoying lunch. "Still, why is there a Hero Killer anyway? Did heroes do something bad?"
"I'm not sure it's the Hero Killer we should talk about," Yuuto spoke up.
"Yes," Sona nodded. She looked around for a moment, making sure the spell she placed that would prevent anyone from hearing what they were saying was still working. "More Nomu, like the one from last month. Kudeila, did you find anything out?"
"Not much," Kudelia sighed. "From what Tye and I managed to scrounge up, it appearers one of the Nomu used Kitsune fox fire."
"Kitsune?" Tsubaki questioned. "I know about a Kitsune from the Kanto Youkai Faction who disappeared about two months ago."
"You believe there's a connection?" Tye asked.
"Maybe."
"I don't like this," Rias leans back in her chair. "First Rivalz Phenex disappears, then a monster with a power similar to the Phenex's immortality shows up. Now, this. I worry about what could happen next."
"I'm glad he's okay," Kyoka leaned back, phone in hand. She sat at a table with Yui and Ibara. The pro heroes they were interning with, Death Arms, Kamui Woods, and Mt. Lady, were chatting at their own table. Mineta was sitting by himself, away from all the girls, something Mt. Lady insisted. Based on how Mineta was breathing heavily with a red face as he stared at his phone, it was the right decision.
The girls ignored the gremlin, for the most part, and instead focused on the texts Izuku had sent them in the two classes' group chat. "I'm thankful he and the others are okay as well," Ibara said. "Facing the Hero Killer, and more Nomu, I swear my heart stopped when I saw the news about Hosu when I received Izuku's message."
"Mm," Yui nodded. "At least your boyfriend is safe."
Ibara turned crimson. "B-Boyfriend!? Izuku-san isn't my boyfriend yet."
"Yet?" Yui questioned.
Ibara groaned and placed her hands over her face to hide her embarrassment.
Normally Kyoka would've taken the chance to throw in her own thoughts, but decided against it. Especially since she wouldn't mind if Izuku would join her and Momo in their relationship. Instead, she decided to change the subject for Ibara's sake.
"By the way, Mineta hasn't tried anything, has he?" Kyoka asked, suspicious of the most perverted boy in the hero course.
"No," Yui shook her head. "He tried to sneak into senpai's room at the agency, but she caught him and is making him do chores, complete with a maid outfit."
Kyoka snickered.
"Is that why Mineta seems so scared of Mt. Lady now?" Ibara asked.
"Mm," Yui nodded. "Speaking of, how long do you think it'll take before these three end up forming their own agency?"
"I'm normally not one to give in to speculation," Ibara said simply.
"I say a year at most," Kyoka answered.
"End of the year," Yui added. "Takeyama-senpai's trying to stay out of the red, and forming an agency with them will help."
"You call her senpai?" Ibara asked.
"She insists," Yui replied. "She also insists for Mineta to never call her anything other than her hero name."
"I can't imagine why," Kyoka snarked. "So, have you two seen any action yet?"
"I have provided crowd control for some of Kamui Woods' villain captures, as well as provide aid for any injuries," Ibara said.
"Just support here and there. Growing stuff for Senpai to use, as well as keeping Mineta on track," Yui visibly shuddered. "It's not easy."
Kyoka agreed, "And I've run espionage for a raid. Didn't see combat, and I'm glad for that."
Yui seemed to be about to say something when their mentors rose from their own table and told them to get ready for work.
"Did you hear about Hosu?" One of the clerks at the ADA office asked. Bakugo, who was currently helping Kunikida with paperwork, growled at the mention of the city.
"Yeah, I did. Amazing how those students took on the Hero Killer."
"Wasn't one of them the winner of the Sports Festival?"
That did it! Bakugo was about to explode, but Kunikida, anticipating this, quickly smacked Bakugo in the head. "Control your temper," Kunikida warned as he continued to do paperwork. "We're already 30 seconds behind schedule. I don't need you to throw a temper tantrum like a spoiled brat."
"What did you call me?" Bakugo growled.
"You sure are serious about your schedules, Kunikida," Atsushi said, sitting at the other side of the table.
"He most certainly is," Dazai happily agreed, reading a book instead of doing work.
"What are you reading, Dazai-san?" Monoma asked, glancing at the cover. He flinched when he read the title. "'The Complete Suicide'?"
'Somehow that doesn't surprise me,' Atsushi thought with a sweat-drop.
"Go back to work, Dazai," Kunikida demanded.
"Try to relax, Kunikida," Dazai then looked concerned. "Maybe you should try the falling health method sometime?"
"The falling health method?" Kunikida repeated, stopping from doing paperwork as confusion spread on his face. "What's that?"
"Oh, you don't know?" Dazai said. "It's a method where you use a lot of speed to loosen your muscle cramps. You can do this by bungee jumping or skydiving!"
"Really?" Kunikida said, almost impressed. "That sounds perfect for me!"
"It does!" Dazai grinned. "You should write that down."
Kunikida pulled out his notebook and started to scribble in it with a pen.
"Um, Kunikida…"
"Not now, Atsushi," Kunikida said. "What else should I know about it, Dazai?"
"Well, you should know I just made it up," Dazai said, smirking.
Kunikida's pen snapped. He threw his notebook to Atsushi as he grabbed Dazai by the neck and started shaking him willy-nilly.
As Atsushi sighed at what was happening, Bakugo's anger continued to boil. "How the hell am I supposed to be a hero at this shitty agency?" He growled.
"What was that?!" Kunikida snapped, throwing Dazai aside.
"You heard me! I'm gonna be the next Number One Hero! And I can't do that in this dump!"
"Wow, that's a little harsh," Dazai said as he dusted himself off. "This little rant wouldn't happen to have anything to do with your classmates on the news, would it?"
Bakugo scowls, turning his head away.
"Yeesh, such pride," Dazai then turned to Kunikida. "Let me handle this," Dazai then grabbed Bakugo's arm, and the two headed out to the hall.
"Let me go, you suicidal fuck!" Bakugo yelled.
'Reminds me of Chuuya,' Dazai thought with a notable disdain. "I only want to talk. Is that too much to ask?"
"Go to hell!"
'Yep, like Chuuya.' Dazai mentally sighed. "Bakugo, are you angry that some of your classmates engaged the Hero Killer? Or are you angry they engaged the Hero Killer… without you?" Dazai asked.
"So what if it was?!" Bakugo growled back, pretty much answering Dazai's question.
"You wish to be a hero, correct? Then have you thought about what your hero name should be?"
"Of course I had! But they keep rejecting my ideas!"
"What did you want?"
"King Explosion Murder! Lord Explosion Murder!"
Dazai stared at Bakugo for a moment before letting out a long, hearty laugh. "Why Bakugo-kun, I had no idea you were a comedian!"
"Shut the fuck up! I'm being serious!" Bakugo yelled, his palms sparking.
"Oh? Okay then, then answer me this. What do you think it means to be a hero?"
"What? It's being the strongest, the one that always wins, duh."
"Really? Then wouldn't that mean you aren't a hero, since you lost at the sports festival?"
Bakugo snarled, not appreciating the jab at all.
"And by that definition, that would also mean All Might shouldn't be the Number One Hero, either, since Endeavor has defeated more villains," Dazai added, something that shook Bakugo to the core. "Yet he is. Why do you think that is?"
Bakugo was unable to answer.
"Think that over for a bit, will you?" Dazai then walked back into the office, leaving Bakugo alone.
"Freedom~!" Setsuna cried dramatically. She, Liana, Izuku, and Milia were the second to last to leave the hospital. Itsuka still needed to stay as her shoulders were still recovering, while Iida and Todoroki had already left earlier, returning home.
Their mentors were already outside waiting, their sidekicks keeping the press away.
"Ready to head back?" Guren asked.
"You know it!" Setsuna grinned, while Liana glared at the green-haired lizard girl.
"Did something happen?" Cynthia asked, noticing the way Liana was glaring.
"Oh, I just made a joke about her and Izuku…!" Setsuna began before Liana covered her mouth.
"No! Nothing happened!" Liana exclaimed, blushing.
Zero raised an eyebrow under his mask. He and Guren had suspected that Liana may be interested in the boy, and this seemed to be as good a time as any to get some. "Kallen, you go on ahead. There's something I need to do."
Kallen quickly realized what Lelouch was planning. "Please don't do anything extreme."
"No promises," Zero replied, walking over to Ryukyu's interns. "Midoriya, a moment please."
"Uh," Izuku looked at Ryukyu, who nodded. "Sure," Izuku followed Zero, putting a little distance between themselves and the others. "You wanted to talk, sir?"
"I'll be blunt: What's your relationship with Liana?"
"Eh?" Izuku blinked. "Well, she's a good friend, and pretty, and smart, so I consider her a good friend."
"And are you interested in her as more than a friend?"
"Huh?" Izuku's face quickly heated up as he realized what Zero meant. "N-No! I'm not right now! I'm still trying to figure out what to do with Milia and Fuyuko and Buchou and-" Izuku quickly slapped his hands over this mouth, realizing too late what he was blabbing.
Zero sighed, recognizing what kind of problems Izuku was having. 'He's early like how I was as a teenager.' Zero took off his helmet, showing his face to Izuku. "You said you weren't interested yet. Does that mean, potentially, you will? Also, you mention other girls. Am I correct to assume there are several girls, mostly your age, who are interested in you romantically?"
Izuku didn't say anything, still keeping his hands over his mouth. Instead, he nodded.
"Bit of advice. First chance you get, talk with them about this," Lelouch said. "Lord knows I needed to do so. I might've avoided all the drama and the 108 dates otherwise."
"I'm sorry, but 108 WHAT!?" Izuku exclaimed.
"Don't ask," Lelouch groaned. "Just talk to them when you're ready. You'll save yourself a lot of trouble if you do."
Izuku slowly nodded. "Okay."
"Good. Oh, and one more thing. Remember this, Midoriya: If you do anything to break my daughter's heart…" Lelouch now sported a terrifying grin. "There won't be anywhere for you to hide."
With that, he put his helmet back on and left, leaving a petrified Izuku shaking.
"Izuku, are you okay?" Milia asked in concern.
"Yeah," Izuku weakly nodded. "Just had an encounter with a demon, is all."
AN: And done! *sigh* I had a bit of a stressful week, so I'm glad I managed to finish this today on the fic's third anniversary.
The Silver Falcon bit at the beginning is from "Dost Thou Even Steal Hearts?", where Joker exposed Silver Falcon's crimes in a flashy matter. Funny, given Joker and Lelouch share the same Japanese voice actor.
There are still a couple of chapters left before we head back to U.A., so please have patience until then, okay?
For now, I'm taking nap. See you next time. Until then, stay safe, stay healthy, and don't be racist. Go beyond, PLUS ULTRA!
