Inside the Axalon the only sound that could be heard was the static coming from the screens. No one could believe what just happened. Their friend and leader Optimus Primal was gone. He gave his life to protect Remnant.
"Big bot?" Cheetor said as he couldn't believe it. Skyshooter place a hand on Cheetor's shoulder as he understood what he was going through.
Rattrap then sat in chair as it took to him a console. Rattrap then tried to get it to work.
"Oh come on, come on." Said Rattrap until he had enough and punch the screen getting it to work.
"That's better." Said Rattrap as the others joined him.
"Computer report." Ordered Rattrap as they needed to know what happened.
"Alien construct destroyed." Reported the computer they all didn't care for that.
"Computer status of Optimus Primal." Said Ruby as she knew it was pointless.
"Unit Optimus Primal." Started the computer.

Vacuo, Darksyde
"Destroyed." Said the computer at the Darksyde as Megatron and his forces were curious of the same thing.
In the command room stood Megatron, and his remaining Predacons, along with Roman, Adam, and Neo. They all laughed and smiled as the screen as it showed Optimus was gone.
"You've done it Megatron." Praised Scorponok as Megatron pushed him away as he got a little too close to him.
"Wazzpinator happy to see end of alien machines." Said Wazzpinator joyfully as he then added. "An Optimus Primal too."
Megatron grinned as Wazzpinator gave him a pat on the back as he was feeling good about himself here.
"I am good aren't I." Said Megatron as he whacked Wazzpinator back with his T-rex head.
"Got to admit I was worried. You played your hand so close to yourself, I thought you had nothing." Said Roman as he looked for a cigar on himself but found none.
"Yes, one can never be too careful, when so many X-factors are in play." Admitted Megatron as there were times he was worried.
"But we can discuss my brilliances later. Now there is work to be done." Said Megatron in a serious manner.
"What kind of work?" Asked Terrorsaur curious.
"The Predacon kind. We must defeat the remaining Maximals while they are disorganized and mourning their departed leader." Said Megatron with a determined look on his face.
"Are you sure we can? After all we've seen without Optimus they're can still fight." Asked Adam as it wasn't going to be as easy as Megatron thought it would be.
"Ah but you are forgetting Adam, they took so long to raise their shields." Stated Megatron confusing his men.
"And what does that mean?" Asked Terrorsaur confused making Megatron sigh.
"It means something happened in their base. And more then likely a number of their forces are down." Megatron as the others realized what he meant now.
"This will be the final battle!" Declared Megatron only for the alarms to go off.
"Warning sensors detect quantum surge approaching planet." Warned the computer making Megatron frown.
"To your stations quickly." Ordered Megatron as the final battle would have to wait.

Back at the Axalon everyone didn't know what to say or do. Optimus knew the risks he was taking, but they all hoped that he would have made it out alive.
"I should have been flying that ship." Said Cheetor as he sat down.
"Cheetor there was no way Optimus was going to let you risk your life like that. He knew the risks and he wasn't going to let anyone else take those risks." Said Skyshooter as that was who Optimus was.
"But what happened?" Asked Velvet as she looked at Blackarachnia curious and sad.
"I'll tell you what happened." Said Rattrap as he got up and pointed his gun at Blackarachnia.
"This stinking Pred two timed us." Finished Rattrap as Blackarachnia didn't look amused.
"That's right blame me." Growled Blackarachnia. "But don't forget that you had one of your own watching me. And your leaders trusted me."
Hearing that Rattrap was ready to pull the trigger when he put his gun away.
"Scrapping you won't bring Optimus back." Was all Rattrap said.
"But what did happen?" Asked Ruby curious.
"I'm not sure but knowing Megatron he knew what Tarantulas was up to and set a trap for him." Said Blackarachnia as the others understood now.
"And when we took his plan, we also took the trap." Said Coco as they should have seen it coming.
"Everyone." Stated Ruby as everyone turned to her. "I understand how you feel right now, but we have bigger problems right now."
"What sort of problems?" Asked Airazor confused.
"Megatron will surely attack us now." Said Ruby as they all forgot about him.
"And we're not in good shape." Said Blake as she looked at the still unconscious Yang along with the others.
"Maybe we should call Winter for reinforcements." Suggested Weiss as they need it right now.
"Alert quantum surge detected! Vector 5 9 7." Warned the computer.
"Oh no." Said Skyshooter as he rushed to console. Ruby placed a hand on his shoulder to show she'll follow his lead on this.
"Cheetor, Rattrap find any source of available power and pour them into the shields. Weiss and Velvet make sure we don't overload the shields. Ruby keep an eye on that surge. The rest of you hang on and pray." Ordered Skyshooter as those he called to rushed to their tasks.
"How bad is this surge?" Asked Coco scared and curious.
"We don't know." Admitted Blackarachnia as quantum surges always vary. Hearing that made none of the organic members feel any better.
Heading towards Remnant was a huge blue wave. People who ventured outside thinking it was safe gasped at the sight as many of them rushed back inside hoping it would be safe.
Inside the Axalon everyone was doing what they could. But parts of them felt this could be it.
"Exterior shields at maximum!" Said Cheetor as they couldn't take much more power.
"The power grid can't take much more." Warned Weiss as everything was red lining.
"Turn off system we don't need right now, like lights and life support in sections of the base that are empty." Ordered Ruby as that should help a little.
"How long till the surge will hit us?" Asked Skyshooter worried.
"A few seconds." Warned Tigatron as everyone got ready.
"Impact i 1!" Counted down Tigatron as everyone held onto whatever they could.
Then the surge hit the Axalon as it felt like the shields did very little to help. Everything started to spark and surge as Airazor was sent flying from the console she was working at.
Then some rocks above the Axalon fell over hit the ship as it caused the people inside to go flying about. The only one still at their station was Tigatron somehow as he held on for dear life.
That was when something weird happened. Little strands of light passed right through the Axalon's shields and hull and entered inside the ship.
It started slowly as the light then quickly became like a pour down. Everyone covered themselves fearing what this light could do to them. Then Blackarachnia realized nothing was happening to her as she looked herself over. She then looked over at Skyshooter and Ruby and saw they were ok as well.
But two bots weren't so lucky. While the light did nothing to the others, but for Cheetor and Rattrap the two cried out as their whole bodies glowed. The two felt their whole bodies changing and there was nothing the two could do about it.
Meanwhile in the cells Tarantulas's body also glowed and started to change as well.

Vacuo, Darksyde
Meanwhile at the Darksyde they weren't fairing any better. The whole base shook as sparks came out of everything. And to add to it parts of the ceiling were falling down too. It got so bad Megatron fell out of his chair and hit the floor beneath him hard.
Wazzpinator's platform then got his by falling debris knocking him off it, as he landed in a CR tank beneath him.
Roman looked around in fear as he wasn't sure where was safe right now. But his eyes widened when he saw a beam falling towards Neo. Acting fast Roman used his platform to knock Neo's out of the way. But the beam hit Roman on the head knocking him out.
When Neo regained control, she gasped in fear as she saw Roman falling towards the lava below. But then out of no where Adam of all people was able to grab Roman's right arm and started to pull him up.
Seeing this Neo rushed over to make sure Roman was ok. All the while surprised it was Adam of all people who saved him.
"Everyone get off the platforms now!" Yelled Adam as that was too close with Roman.
Then the same light that went through the Axalon entered the Darksyde. Megatron was able to stand up just as the light hit him making him yell out in pain and surprise.
In the air above them Terrorsaur and Scorponok's platforms collided as the two crashed into each other. Adam watched as the two sank into the lava as Terrorsaur arm was the last Adam ever saw of that transformer again.
Back with Megatron he fell to his knees as he felt his body changing.
"What is happening to me!" Cried out Megatron as he looked at his hands and to his shock his T-rex hand was morphing into a normal hand. But that was the last thing he saw as he passed out.

Vale, Patch, Axalon
Ruby groaned as she slowly opened her eyes. The last thing she remembered was that quantum surge hitting them and then nothing. Looking around Ruby saw the command room was wrecked again. Wires hanging from the ceiling, consoles damaged, screens either on the fritz or broken. She could on guess on what the outside looked like.
"Um…" Ruby heard someone groan as she saw Weiss next to her.
"Weiss, are you ok?" Asked Ruby as she rushed over to her bbff.
"Ruby?" Asked Weiss as she was still a bit out of it. "What happened?"
"I don't really know." Admitted Ruby was she was confused.
"Did someone spike the punch again?" Asked Coco as she got up.
"Coco that was you, remember." Stated Velvet as she got up.
"Oh, yeah." Said Coco as she did remember.
"Is everyone ok?" Asked Ruby as she got up.
"Define ok?" Asked Blackarachnia as she never wants to go through that ok.
"Somehow." Admitted Blake as her ears were still ringing.
"At least we're still online." Said Tigatron as he got off a console.
"And we're better off then the Axalon." Added Airazor as it would take some time to fix all this.
"Wait where are Rattrap and Cheetor?" Asked Skyshooter as he couldn't see them, and it was even more worrisome they didn't hear them.
"I'm right over here." Said Rattrap as everyone looked over at him and gasped.
"By the matrix." Said Tigatron as no one knew what to say.
His whole body had changed somehow. Rattrap's arms and legs were now sliver, with his groin area being gray and his chest being blue. On the left side of his chest Rattrap has what looks like a gold speaker. On his shoulder were two halves of a rat's head that were looking upwards. His head was silver with red eyes. And the sides around his head had a blue casing and on top of his head was golden. But what some of them wondered what the weird backpack like object on his back. The pack had two large round objects on both sides of the pack and what looked like rat feet with wheels attached to them at the bottom.
"What? What with you lot? Is my gear box hanging out or something?" Asked Rattrap unaware of his change.
"Jumping gyros! Wha happened to you?" Asked Cheetor as he also changed.
Cheetor now had blue legs and feet with his lower legs being silver. His chest was mostly yellow with a blue stomach. And his chest had a Cheetor skin print on it. His upper arms were yellow, and his lower arms and hands were now two halves of a sliver cheetah head. On his back were folded silver legs. And his head was blue with green eyes. He also had a helmet with the inside layer having gold trimmings and the rest being blue. The helmet had two points on either side and had the Maximal symbol in light blue diamond in the middle.
"Me!? What happened to you?" Said Rattrap as he couldn't believe what happened to Cheetor.
Rattrap and Cheetor then walked up to each other, as they then circled each other as they couldn't believe what they were seeing. A they did they then saw each other reflections in the CR chamber.
They then took in they're own appearance. Neither could believe their optics. But at the same time that would explain why their systems were different. But the two thought it was because of the surge. But now they had a good idea what really happened.
"Hey." Said Rattrap as he giggled a little. "I'm gorgeous."
"I wouldn't go that far." Said Coco as she would agree it was an upgrade for him.
"The surge must have mutated your super structures." Said Airazor as that was the only logical explanation.
"Then why just them, and not the rest of you?" Asked Velvet confused.
"That's a good question." Admitted Skyshooter as he wondered why he was still the same.
"Both of you transform into your beast modes." Ordered Blackarachnia as they need to learn more.
"Hey lady you're not the boss of me." Said Rattrap as he glared at her.
"Come on Rattrap don't tell you you're not interested." Said Cheetor as he wanted to know what his beast mode was like now.
Rattrap sighed as Cheetor was right.
"Beast mode!" The two said at the same time as they transformed.
When Cheetor transformed he bent downwards as the legs on hos back became his front legs and his arms went over his head as his hands became his head. And a tail appeared from somewhere. In the end he still looked like a cheetah, though a robotic one.
For Rattrap his backpack spun around as transformed. Now he was most red with some brown edges. Rattrap feet were silver and on his back legs were two large wheels on top, while his front had two small wheels. And like Cheetor, Rattrap still looked like a rat, though like a robotic one.
"Interesting." Said Blackarachnia as she took in the changes, while the others were surprised.
"Now that's gorgeous." Said Cheetor as he admired his reflection.
"You two don't know what that word means do you." Said Coco annoyed.
"There there, Coco." Said Velvet as she tried to calm her teammate down.
"What are those wheels for Rattrap?" Asked Ruby curious.
Rattrap looked at them as he suddenly found a program for them. Curious he activated it. The big wheel them went down as his back legs went into the wheels. While his front feet folded upwards as the small wheels reached the ground. And on his back exhaust ports came out.
"I'm a rat with wheels!" Said Rattrap excited. "Cool."
Seeing that Cheetor wondered if he had something similar as he found an unknown program. Curious he activated it. Then from his sides a flap on either side opened and a blue tube folded out from the flap.
"I wonder what these gizmos are for?" Asked Cheetor as he looked at what came out.
Cheetor then got his answer as the two tubes turned out to be jet engines as they then activated.
Cheetor tried to stop them, but due to them being brand new to him he couldn't stop them. He then took off, as he couldn't even fly straight from the surprise.
"Down!" Yelled Skyshooter as everyone hit the ground as Cheetor flew over them.
Cheetor circled the room a few times, before flying down a hall. As he did the others could hear him the whole way. And to their dread he somehow turned around and was coming down the other hall.
"How do you work these things!?" Yelled Cheetor as he got closer to them again.
Seeing Cheetor on his way everyone, expect Rattrap jumped behind the table for safety. At the same time Rattrap was trying to get his wheels moving. But for whatever reason I sounded like he was staling. He then realized he was in the wrong gear as he shot forward faster then he expected.
Rattrap crashed into a wall and ended upside down. Meanwhile Cheetor still unable to control himself crashed into a wall. But due to his jets still being on he continued to run into the wall.
"Cheetor transform now!" Ordered Skyshooter as Cheetor obeyed him.
Cheetor transformed inro robot mode, which caused his jet to deactivate. And at the same time cause him to land on the ground with a thud.
"Are you ok Cheetor?" Asked Blake as she and Tigatron helped him up.
"I'll let you know when the room stops spinning." Said Cheetor weakly.
"Interesting. Both of you gained new forms and a vehicle beast mode." Said Blackarachnia as learning about this could help her someday.
"Yeah, and we can't steer." Said Rattrap as he transformed.
"Aren't you all not seeing something." Said Weiss worried.
"What are you saying?" Asked Cheetor as he was more focused.
"If this happened to you two. What about the Predacons?" Asked Wiess as none thought about that and it scared them.
"Ok." Said Ruby as she gave out her orders. "Skyshooter take Blackarachnia and Velvet and get our systems back online. Weiss contact our allies and see how they are and what states they're in. Tigatron, Airazor, Blake, and Coco patrol the area and see the damage. I'm sure Megatron will launch an attack on us, if you see anything report it."
"What about us?" Asked Cheetor as he pointed at himself and Rattrap.
"Learn more about your bodies. We don't want a repeat of this in a fight." Said Ruby as the two looked away in embarrassment.
"What hit me." They all heard as they looked over and saw Yang, Fox, and Yatsuhashi getting up.
"Yang." Said Ruby as she rushed over and hugged her sister.
"Ruby?" Said Yang as she was still getting her bearings. But did a double take when she saw Blackarachnia and the new Rattrap and Cheetor.
"What's going on?" Asked Yang confused as the door to the CR chamber opened allowing Rhinox and Dinobot to walk out. But the interesting thing was they were still normal.
"What happened?" Asked Rhinox as he looked around the room confused.
"I'll explain everything. But first let's get Boomer and Bladegator into the Chamber." Said Ruby as Rhinox looked at everyone and knew something was wrong.
"Where's Optimus?" He asked them as no one answered him. Some even looked away as that told Rhinox everything he needed to know.

Adam groaned as he sat up. The last thing he remembered was that surge hitting the Darksyde, him saving Roman, and the death Terrorsaur and Scorponok.
'At least now I don't have to watch my back all the time.' Thought Adam as Scorponok never forgave him for cutting off his arms in front of everyone when they meet.
Adam then felt someone tugging his arm hard. Looking over he saw a frantic Neo pulling on his arm, while she pointed to a still unconscious Roman. Not needing t be told anything Adam got up and checked on him.
"He's still alive." Said Adam as he felt a pulse. Hearing that Neo relaxed as he was still alive.
"Adam." Said a White Fang member as several of them walked over to him.
"What's the damage?" Asked Adam as the ship looked terrible.
"We're not 100% sure." One said as they haven't had time to properly check yet.
"We have no casualties, but a lot of injuries." Another said as Adam nodded at that thankful.
"But the ships systems as all over the place." Said a third one.
Adam took it all in before giving his orders.
"Get the injured to the med bay. Focus on the more serious like Roman." Said Adam as that surprised them.
"But he's human." One of them said as he voiced all their concerns.
"I know, but he has contacts we need right now. We have no idea of the state of the world right now and we need every edge we can get." Said Adam as the others agreed with him.
"Hey where Wazzpinator?" Asked a new White Fang member curious.
"Wazzpinator is here." Said Wazzpinator as he pulled himself out of the CR tank. He then flew up and over to Adam's group.
"Where are the other Predacon's?" Asked Wazzpinator as he didn't see any of them.
"Terrorsaur and Scorponok are dead." Said Adam as Wazzpinator took a step back in shock.
"Sorry for your loss." Said one of the White Fang.
"Wazzpinator could care less about those two. Now Wazzpinator has to do all the flying missions himself." Moaned Wazzpinator as his actions didn't surprise them.
"Where is Megatron?" Asked Adam as he hadn't seen him yet. That when they heard a heavy thump sound.
"Over here." Said Megatron as everyone turned around to look at him. But with the lights not working right they could see him properly. All they could see was glowing red eyes and his outline and he was much different now from what they could see.
"Megatron? What happened?" Asked Wazzpinator as he voiced all their question.
"I've had a change for the better. Yeess." Said Megatron as some of the White Fang got sacred.
Elsewhere on the Darksyde Cinder was waking up as she pushed herself up. But when she did, she heard something heavy hitting the ground. Hearing this Cinder looked down and gasped. It was the bomb collar she wore.
Cinder slowly put a hand to her throat and felt her skin. It was almost enough to make her cry.
"Cinder are you ok?" Asked Emerald as she and Mercury found her.
"I'm better then ok." Said Cinder as she got up and grinned. That was when Emerald and Mercury saw her collar was gone.
"Cinder the bomb. Your free." Said Emerald happy for her.
"Yes." Said Cinder as she wanted to destroy the collar but didn't as she didn't know if the bomb would go off or not.
"So what now?" Asked Mercury curious.
"Now we leave." Said Cinder as the other two were confused.
"And go where?" Asked Mercury curious.
"To her." Said Cinder as both Mercury and Emerald felt a chill go down their spines.
"What the hell!?" They heard someone yell. Turning they saw a certain hyena Faunus that's been a pain for Cinder for months.
"But first some pay back." Said Cinder as she glared at the hyena Faunus who was so scared, he couldn't move. The only sound that came was muffled screams.

Winter looked down at her scroll as she had just finished a call with her sister. As she looked at it, she couldn't believe all that had happened in the span of a day. Winter walked into Ironwood's office as he was meeting with the Ace ops.
"All in all sir, our forces are in decent shape." Said Clover as he finished a report to Ironwood.
"Good." Said Ironwood as he saw Winter as she was looking at her scroll.
"Winter, did you get a report from the Maximals?" Ironwood asked her.
"Yes sir." Said Winter weakly.
"Winter, what's wrong?" Asked Clover as she seemed shaken.
"It's the report I got." Said Winter as she collected herself.
"Well?" Asked Harriet as she wanted to know.
"To summarize the aliens tired to destroy the planet. The Maximals came up with a plan with the help of Blackarachnia, who switched sides. But something happened and during the operation Optimus Primal was killed in action." Said Winter as this shocked everyone.
"Optimus is dead." Said Marrow as he respected the bot even though they meet once.
"I see." Said Ironwood as he was shocked as well. In his mind he couldn't believe that Optimus would risk his own life like that for this world.
"And there's more." Said Winter as this surprised them.
"What more could there be?" Asked Elm confused.
"Apparently that shock wave from the explosion had caused Rattrap and Cheetor to mutate their forms." Said Winter as none of them expected that.
"Wait why just them?" Asked Marrow confused.
"They're not sure yet." Answered Winter as it was a good question.
"What is their status right now?" Asked Ironwood curious.
"Not good. Most of their team is out cold, and their base is in bad condition." Answered Winter as she hoped the Predacon's and White Fang weren't any better.
"Sir what are your orders?" Asked Clover as everyone looked at Ironwood awaiting orders.
Ironwood sat there as part of him wanted to launch an attack on them while they were weak. But he remembered what happened the last time he did something like that. With a sigh he gave his orders.
"For now, we need to get Atlas back on it's feet." Said Ironwood as that surprised everyone, but for different reasons.
"We're not abandoning them are we sir?" Asked Marrow worried.
"No, but right now, we are in no shape to fight. And if we launch the fleet now, it will cause the people to panic further." Said Ironwood as this surprised Winter and Clover as that sound like something Ozpin would say.
"Sir, if I may." Said Vine as ironwood gave him the go ahead.
"If two Maximals mutated, then what about the Predacons?" Asked Vine as no one thought of that.
"Clover." Started Ironwood. "I want you and your team on standby in case the Maximals call for help. But your first priority is getting Atlas up and running. Winter, I need you to stay here for now and give me a more detailed report."
"Yes sir!" Said everyone as they saluted him. Ironwood then gave them their orders on what to focus on.

Vale, Beacon
At Beacon Ozpin sat at his desk as he went over everything Weiss told him. He then opened a drawer in his desk and pulled out a bottle of rye Qrow got for him. He then poured himself a drink.
'So it was the brothers.' Thought Ozpin as he wished he was wrong. Part of him felt this could have been avoided if he told them the truth. But he knew truth that when he joined them, it was far too late for that.
He then turned around and looked out the window with a sigh. The city was in taters. But luckily there was no deaths or at least any reported one yet. That was at least something to be thankful for.
But the CCT systems were down at the moment. So communication between the kingdoms was gone. All they had was the Maximal communication system. But they had no allies in either Mistral, or Vacuo so he was in the dark for there.
That was when the door opened and Glynda walked in.
"Ozpin, many of the staff and students are scared right now. And more and more reports of damages are coming in." Said Glynda as she saw the bottle on Ozpin desk.
"I see." Said Ozpin as he offered the bottle to Glynda who nodded as she could use a drink right now.
"Have we received any word about villages outside the kingdom?" Asked Ozpin as he gave Glynda a glass.
"Nothing yet, but I won't lie I don't think we will." Glynda told him as she very much doubted it.
"I understand." Said Ozpin with a sigh as he was hoping for some good news.
"Sir, what of the Maximals and the students?" Asked Glynda only to get Ozpin's remorseful look as he told her what he just heard.
"I see." Said Glynda as she was used to losing friends. But this time it was different as Optimus gave his life for a world that wasn't even his.
"Glynda, I understand what you're feeling right now. But right now we have to make sure Optimus sacrifice was not in vain." Said Ozpin as Glynda nodded.
"So what now?" Asked Glynda curious as there was so much to do.
"Gather the teachers. We will discuss what we can do and go from there. Also bring me the files of the first and scend year students." Said Ozpin as that last bit confused Glynda.
"Why do you need those files?" She asked him curious.
"The Maximals will need reinforcements." Said Ozpin as he saw the look Glynda was giving him. "I understand, but I worry sooner or later everyone will be in this war."
Glynda sighed as she hated to admit it, but Ozpin might be right there. The way things were going, the Beast Wars may become public. And with that she turned around to get the meeting ready and gather the files.
Ozpin looked out again and sighed as he made up his mind. When everything settles, he must tell everyone about her and himself.

In the Axalon's prison laid both Inferno and Tarantulas. Around both Preds were energy bars to keep them in. But due to the damage the Axalon took the power grid was weak. And as such the bars were flickering on and off. Until the grid couldn't continue any longer and they turned off.
That was when Tarantulas woke up.
"Oh, my head." Groaned Tarantulas as his systems were off, as he got up.
Tarantulas then saw his reflection in a reflective wall and gasped. His whole body had changed somehow.
His hand were now three fingered instead of two claws and his forearms were purple while his upper arms were sliver with his fingers being gold. His feet were gold with two claws in the front and one in the back. His lower legs were purple on the sides with a dark purple strip going up the middle with three small spikes on each side of this legs. While his upper legs were black. His chest was navy blue with five green orbs on his chest with three small green orbs closer to his head. His stomach was purple was well. On his shoulders he had shoulder guards with three large circles on them. Even his head had changed as he had a green diamond on the centre of his forehead, along with two horns. And even his optics seem larger. And on his back was a gold shell and eight metal spider legs attached to him.
"What has happened to me?" Asked Tarantulas as he had never dreamed of such changes to himself.
"I must get to my lab and find out what has happened." Tarantulas said to himself as he hoped his lab was still in tact. And if it was then he hopeful he would get some answers to what happened while he was offline.
And with that Tarantulas rushed off to find an exit before a Maximal saw him. As he left Inferno's finger twitched as he also was coming back online.
In the command room Ruby had just finished explaining what happened to their allies who were unconscious.
"Optimus." Said Rhinox sadly as he couldn't believe what happened to his friend.
"How do we not know Blackarachnia didn't trick you into thinking she didn't do anything to the pod?" Asked Yang as she doubted the spider.
"Because Yang, she's been helping us for months now. And Skyshooter was with her the whole time she was working on the pod." Said Ruby as she understood where her sister was coming from.
"So what now?" Asked Yatsuhashi curious.
"Dinobot take the guys with you check on the prisoners. Rhinox, can you help the others get the power and system back online." Said Ruby as they nodded in agreement.
"And Fox when thing get settled, we'll fix your eyes." Said Ruby as the surge disabled his eyes.
"I understand." Said Fox as he knew of to fight without them and there were more important things going on. Though he would be lying if he didn't think it was getting annoying. This was the second time something happened to his new eyes. If it happened a third time, he might just forget about them all together.
"What about me sis?" Asked Yang curious.
"You're with me. We're going to check the hull of the Axalon and the auto guns." Said Ruby as everyone went to do their tasks.
Outside the Axalon Tigatron looked around in sadness. The landscape was burnt to a crisp almost. It made him wonder how back things were in other parts of the world.
"Tigatron." Said Airazor as she landed near him.
"Airazor." Said Tigatron as he continued to look at the destruction around him.
"Are you alright?" Asked Airazor curious.
"No." Admitted Tigatron. "I just can't believe what has happened here. And I can only guess how the rest of the world looks."
Airazor nodded as she agreed with him. Remnant will never be the same after today. The question was for better or worse.
"I am going to ask Ruby if she'll allow me to leave for a while." Tigatron suddenly said.
"What?" Said Airazor confused.
"We need to see the damage for ourselves. And help however we can." Said Tigatron as he felt responsible for this.
"You know Velvet won't like you going by yourself." Said Airazor with a smirk as she then added. "So I better go with you."
"Airazor, you don't have to." Said Tigatron in surprise.
"I know, but I want to." Airazor told him.
But before either could say anything an energy blast came out of nowhere and hit the two. The blast sent the two flying.
About a mile away Cheetor and Rattrap, both in their vehicle beast modes, heard the explosion.
"What was that?!" Asked Cheetor as he landed on the ground.
"Only one thing could cause a sound like that." Said Rattrap as Cheetor nodded. They were under attack.
"Call it in." Ordered Rattrap as he then raced off.
"Cheetor to base." Said Cheetor as he held up his left paw to his mouth.
"Cheetor what is it?" Asked Weiss on the other side.
"Me and Rattrap are a few clicks southwest of the base. We just heard an explosion. We think someone is under attack." Said Cheetor worried about what they could be facing.
"I'll tell Ruby and get whoever I can over there!" Said Wiess as she hung up.
Cheetor then started to run as he activated his jets and took off. But due to still learning how to fly he twisted and turned around.
Over at where Tigatron and Airazor were the two were out cold as Rattrap and Cheetor arrived.
"Big cat!" Said Cheetor as they transformed and checked on their friends.
"Careful kid, notice anything missing." Said Rattrap as he had his gun ready.
"You should listen to the rat, cat." They heard Megatron causing both to get into fighting stances.
That was when Megatron stepped out form behind a boulder as the two gasped as he had changed as well. His lower legs and arms were now bronze in colour while his upper legs and arms were black. He had three purple claw feet and bronze shoulder guards with sliver claw like items on top. On his chest was what looked like a purple face with red eyes. Though Megatron's head and face were pretty much the same. Finally, instead of a T-rex head for his right arm, he now had a normal arm inside a tail like cannon.
"Oh boy." Said Rattrap as he and Cheetor took a step back in fear.
Megatron grinned at the sight of the two Maximals backing up in fear. It was a bit of a surprise to see that they have changed like him, but that was little concern for him. Megatron then aimed his tail cannon at them as the tip opened up and glowed purple as he then fired at them.
Seeing this Cheetor and Rattrap jumped to the sides, as both of them found some boulders to hide behind.
"Great now Megatron's a trans metal too." Whined Rattrap as that caught both Megatron and Cheetor off guard.
"A what metal?" Asked Cheetor confused.
"You know, after the trans wrap explosion, we've become more metal like then animal like. So Trans metal." Explained Rattrap as it made sense to the two of them.
"I like that vermin." Said Megatron as he fired at Rattrap's location.
Seeing this Cheetor brought his hands together forming a cheetah head and then fired an energy blast at Megatron.
"Wazzpinator now!" Ordered Megatron as Wazzpinator, in robot mode, flew down and grabbed Cheetor before flying off with him.
"Let go of me!" Said Cheetor as he tried to get free.
"Ok." Said Wazzpinator as he dropped Cheetor who screamed as he fell.
"Beast mode!" Yelled Cheetor thankful for his upgrade. Once in beast mode Cheetor activated his jets and flew upwards.
"Where's cat bots crash?" Wondered Wazzpinator as he heard nothing. That was when Cheetor flew pass Wazzpinator starling the bug.
"What cat bot can fly now!?" Said Wazzpinator as he wasn't expecting that.
"I can do more then fly now bug brain." Said Cheetor as he flew towards Wazzpinator who transformed and dodged.
Back with Rattrap he was pinned. And when he could return fire, his gun did very little damage.
"Oh man where's our back-up?" Wondered Rattrap as he really needed it right now.
Meanwhile the Axalon Weiss rushed into the core room where Rhinox and the others were working.
"Weiss what's wrong?" Asked Skyshooter curious as he put some tools down.
"Rattrap and Cheetor heard an explosion and called for back-up." Answered Weiss as Skyshooter frowned hearing that.
They were in no shape to fight right now. With a sigh he turned to Velvet.
"Velvet, you go with Weiss and check out the situation. Rhinox get the guys and have them join them." Ordered Skyshooter.
"What about you and me?" Asked Blackarachnia curious.
"This could be a diversion, so we're staying here and getting the Axalon running again." Said Skyshooter as Blackarachnia agreed as that was something Megatron would do.
"Wait what about Ruby?" Asked Weiss curious.
"She and Yang are checking the hull of the Axalon. I'll get them." Said Skyshooter as he hoped they were near done with their inspection.
"Come on Velvet." Said Weiss as the girls took off with Rhinox and Skyshooter walking after them.
Meanwhile with Dinobot and his group they entered the prison and saw nothing.
"The prisoners are gone!" Growled Dinobot as he brought out his sword and scanned the room.
Yatsuhashi then saw Fox nudging his head backwards. Realizing what he was saying he nudged Dinobot who looked at him as he nudged his head back.
"We must search the base immediately." Declared Dinobot as he started to walk forward. Fox and Yatsuhashi followed him.
But above them, clinging to the roof, was Inferno who was giggling and grinning. He slowly lowered himself down as he saw the Maximal fools walking away. He slowly brought out his guns and took aim.
"Now!" Yelled Fox as Dinobot turned around and fired his eye lasers at Inferno knocking him back.
"How?" Asked Inferno as he was so quiet.
"You're the loudest Predacon there is." Said Fox as he heard Inferno giggling.
"No matter. You will all burn!" Yelled Inferno as he jumped up and used his flamethrowers on them.
The guys jumped back and out of the way. Once safe Fox fired at Inferno with Sharp Retribution causing Inferno to drop a gun. Seeing a chance Dinobot fired his eye laser at the other gun forcing it out of Inferno's hand.
Inferno gasped as he was disarmed. But Yatsuhashi saw his chance and charged at Inferno as he tackled him into a wall. Inferno groaned as he fell down the side of the wall.
"Good job." Praised Dinobot to both of them as they regrouped.
"Thank you, but where's Tarantulas?" Asked Yatsuhashi as he couldn't see the spider.
"Probably long gone by now." Said Dinobot as it was just like Tarantulas.
"Fools!" Cried out Inferno as he got up and activated his flight system and flew off.
Seeing this the guys groaned as they chased after Inferno.
Meanwhile on the roof of the Axalon Yang pushed a boulder off the roof into the canyon below.
"Ruby are you sure you're ok?" Asked Yang worried about her.
"For the last time Yang, I'm fine." Said Ruby as she took some readings of the hull.
"But if Cheetor and Rattrap changed, couldn't it have affected the Matrix and then you?" Asked Yang as she walked over.
"Yang look at the Axalon. It's still the same. And so is the Matrix." Said Ruby as Yang wasn't sold yet.
"Yang if something was wrong, I would tell you and the others." Said Ruby as Yang knew she was right.
That was when a roof hatch opened, and Tarantulas climbed out. Seeing his new look surprised the girls.
"Tarantulas?!" Said Ruby in shock as Tarantulas turned around to face them.
He then pulled out a weird gun. It had a similar base for a gun but had a disk in the front. Everyone looked at it funny as Tarantulas fired it. An energy blast shot at the girls making them dodge it.
"Great he changed too." Said Yang with a groaned as she fired Ember Celia at him.
"This happened to others." Tarantulas said to himself as he wondered how many changed.
But his thoughts were cut off as Ruby fired her Ion blaster at him. As Tarantulas returned fire, he checked his options as they were limited. If he tried to run the girls would shoot him down, but staying here was worse.
That was when they heard an engine. The three of them stole a glance at where they heard it and saw Weiss and Velvet riding off on Yang's bike.
"That's my bike!" Yelled Yang as red eyes flashed red, while Ruby wondered why they took off like that.
"Hey what's Tarantulas's vehicle beast mode?" Yang asked herself out loud as she then realized what she said.
Tarantulas heard her and got curious. What was this vehicle mode she was talking about? Normally Tarantulas wouldn't take a risk like that, but he had little options right now.
Then to the surprise of the girls Tarantulas fired missiles from his shoulder pads. The girls ran out of the way as Tarantulas took his shot.
"Beast mode!" Said Tarantulas as his back folded forward to his waist. Now Tarantulas's beast mode had a golden outer shell, with his waist being his head and his legs being pincers. And of course, he still had his spider legs.
He then found the program that activated his vehicle mode. Everyone then saw his legs curl up and two wheels appeared under him.
If they knew where Tarantulas head was they'd be sure he was grinning.
"Goodbye." Said Tarantulas as he revved his engines.
But he just stayed there as he spun his wheels. Seeing this the girls blinked as they weren't expecting that.
Tarantulas then realised he didn't shift gears. But when he did, he shot forwards. But due to the revving he did he lost control from the speed. He went passed the girls and over the edge of the Axalon.
"Oh no!" Cried Tarantulas as he fell down the gorge into the river below.
"Well that just happened." Said Yang in a bit of disbelief.
"Yeah." Was all Ruby could say.
Then the hull exploded startling the two as they then saw Inferno flying away while laughing.
"And now there's a hole in the hull." Said Ruby as she was wondering how much more the Axalon could take.
"Why can't we hold prisoners?" Asked Yang as they can't seem to hold anyone.
"Ruby, Yang are you two ok?" Asked SkyShooter as he reached the roof.
"Yeah, but our prisoners are gone." Said Ruby as she realized something.
"Why did Weiss and Velvet race off like that?" Asked Ruby worried.
"Rattrap and Cheetor called for backup, and they were the first to respond." Said Skyshooter as that worried the girls.
"We'll get Dinobot and the boys and join them." Said Ruby as she hoped they were ok.
Meanwhile with Rattrap he was panicking. None of shots were working and Cheetor was in a dogfight with Wazzpinator.
"It's over rat!" Said Megatron as he fired at the boulder Rattrap was using as a shield destroying it.
Rattrap gasped seeing this and knew he had to move as he saw Megatron charging up another shot.
"Beast mode!" Cried Rattrap as he transformed and activated his vehicle mode. He then drove off as Megatron grinned.
"Don't think you're the only one with a vehicle mode now." Said Megatron as he transformed into beast mode.
Now his beast mode was mostly bronze in color as he had two silver three fingered hands. His head was purple, and he had red eyes. And his tail cannon became his tail.
Then from his hips two fan came out. They started to spin as they somehow became jets and lifted Megatron off the ground. He then flew after Rattrap.
"Of course he can fly now." Said Rattrap with a sigh as he saw Megatron gaining on him.
Then out of no where someone fired at Megatron. Megatron looked over and Weiss and Velvet there.
"Megatron terrorize!" Said Megatron as he roared and transformed.
Both girls were shocked to see how Megatron had changed as they took a step back in fear. Megatron then fired at them causing them to run.
"Of course he would get this upgrade." Said Weiss annoyed.
"What do we do?" Asked Velvet nervous.
Weiss wasn't sure as they knew nothing about these new Trans metal bodies. So she did the only thing she could. She made a summoning glyph and summoned her ice Megatron. But this was the old version of Megatron.
Weiss was nervous as she sent her ice Megatron at Megatron who didn't look nervous. The ice Megatron charged as it was ready to use it's tail to slash Megatron. But Megatron easily caught it and then ripped it off.
"Thank you, Miss. Schnee, for showing me how much more powerful I am." Said Megatron as he blasted the ice Megatron away.
"Oh boy." Said Rattrap as he joined up with the girls.
"So what now?" Asked Velvet nervous as she didn't think she had weapon that could help them.
"We…" Trailed off Weiss as she wasn't sure. This new Megatron was much more powerful than before.
"Head's up!" Yelled Cheetor as everyone looked up to see Cheetor on Wazzpinator's back as Cheetor's jets pushed then towards Megatron.
Cheetor then pushed off as Wazzpinator couldn't control himself as he crashed into Megatron. The force of the blow was enough to knock Megatron off his feet.
"Hey." Said Cheetor as he transformed and landed near his friends.
"Get off me!" Growled Megatron as he pushed Wazzpinator off him and got up.
"Mind if we join in?" Asked Ruby as she, and Yang stood nearby.
"Ruby!" Said Weiss as she now knew they'd be ok.
"And we're not alone." Said Yang as Dinobot, Fox, and Yatsuhashi came into view.
At the same time Blake and Coco along with Tigatron and Airazor stood nearby.
"Sorry we're late." Said Coco as everyone aimed their guns at Megatron and Wazzpinator.
"This is the part where you surrender." Said Ruby smugly as she doubted Megatron had a way out.
Megatron growled at the sight of all this. But he did come prepared for this. But he knew Adam would hold this over him. And he was certain him and Roman were getting their revolt ready and he didn't want to give them more fuel. But right now, he had no choice.
"No this is the part where my brilliance allows me to escape." Said Megatron as he then pulled out a flare.
He then activated it. The flare was so strong no one could see. When it died down everyone saw Megatron and Wazzpinator were gone. But looking upwards one could see the two flying away.
"You guys ok?" Asked Ruby as she looked at Rattraps group.
"Somehow." Said Rattrap as no one disagreed with him.
"How about you guys?" Asked Cheetor as he looked at Tigatron and Airazor.
"We could use some time in the CR chamber, but otherwise we're ok." Said Tigatron as he was still hurting.
"So we have four bots who have changed." Said Ruby as this was a game changer.
"Yeah, Megatron was tough before but now he's on a whole new level." Said Rattrap as he needed a weapon upgrade.
"So the Beast Wars have entered a new phase." Said Dinobot as he looked at the destruction around them.
"No." Said Ruby as everyone looked at her. "The world has entered a new phase."
What none of them realized how true her words really were. As somewhere in Vacuo two downed stasis pobs were barely operational but were doing everything to keep the proto forms inside alive.
And now we're in season two of Beast wars. I decided to keep the same bots as Tarns metals. And also I didn't do anything with the Matrix.
All of Remnant has now changed and as we'll see in later chapters how and how people are dealing with it. And above all else Cinder is now free and the first thing she did was get revenge on the Faunus who made her life even more miserable. And Ozpin is planning to give the Maximals some back-up. I would ask you who you'd think it is but lets all be honest we all know who it will be.
Lastly, I've got some plans for this season I've been waiting to get to. And I hope you'll all enjoy them.
