After preventing the assassination on Ravin all the Blades are together again in their headquarters. With no leads on Tamamo or The New Government Jack decides to hold Rini's initiation, with Jack's upcoming ritual to take Jurgen's place at Akatosh's side and the Battle Royale tournament there are not many chances to do the initiation.
5. The New Blade.
The Blades except for Rini, Violet and Jack had gathered in the entrance hall where their Duel arena stood, one of the machines they used all the way back during the Duelist Kingdom tournament decades ago, during the attack of the Dark Signers one of the escaped criminals George also known as Cid used it to Duel Jack in, while the technology was updated to recognize newer cards and all the new summon methods the arena itself and how it displayed holograms was still the same as in the old days.
Jack was the first to enter, since the temperature inside the hall was warm Jack was wearing a black T-shirt and gray sweatpants and black socks.
Then the other door opened Rini nervously entered the hall, Jack could tell she wasn't used to all the people looking at her, Rini was wearing some of Violet's clothes a black corset with a dark-red skirt and knee-high socks.
Violet stood behind her girlfriend she was wearing some of Rini's clothes a light-blue crop top and dark-blue, leather pants and black socks
'Rini.' Jack spoke he was all serious.
'Before you can become a Blade you need to prove yourself in a Duel, there are two options, the first one means you go with a member of the Blades there the Blade can test you in the field, see how you Duel while assisting you, this is the preferred method but since everything is quiet at the moment so we go with method two a Duel against one of us.'
Jack pointed at the Dueling arena: 'With the first method our Blade can see what the aspirant Blade can do and they judge whether you fit in with us based off of that.' Jack waked closer to Rini.
'This method judges a little different, we hold nothing back but losing the Duel doesn't automatically means you're out we look at the whole performance: How you deal with powerful monsters, how do you react when things won't go your way? Do you become angry?' Jack paused for a second: 'This also means that if you win it's no guarantee you can join, if you can beat one of us that proves you're good in a Duel but if you become toxic about winning we can still refuse your application.'
Rini nodded that she had understood.
'Now it is custom that I as the Blade's leader take these Duels, but I know you're good in a Duel and I know you're not toxic or overly competitive, I know you can work with other people so at this point it's a formality more than a tryout.'
Rini blushed with all the compliments Jack gave her. 'Thank you.' She muttered.
'So Rini.' Jack continued: 'As an exception I want you to Duel Violet.' Rini gasped, Violet had expected this to happen.
'Rini, I've faced you when you were a Dark Signer, I know those wounds are still fresh, I don't want a Duel between us to rip open those wounds not when you're making huge leaps in getting better. I know you trust Violet, even though you two Dueled when the battles with the Earthbound Gods went on I don't think the love between you two will cause that trauma to resurface.'
Jack looked at Violet: 'You two Dueled?' He asked.
Violet nodded: 'Couple of times, few times with Duel Disks, mostly just the old-fashioned way on a table.' Violet answered.
'Like I thought, I can safely let you two Duel here, if the rest agrees with this method.' Jack looked at the rest of his team.
'Jack.' Juliet spoke: 'It's the responsible thing to do, we as a team stand behind your decision, we've been discussing this as well as a matter of concern and we came to the same conclusion.' She concluded.
'Good.' Jack replied: 'This also gives us another opportunity, since you've been Dueling a lot you know each-others Decks and strategies, in the field the people we Duel often have knowledge of our Decks, I'm curious to see how you would react to a potential situation like that.' Jack said.
Violet took Rini by her shoulders. 'Just relax.' she comforted her friend: 'This isn't different than our other Duels.'
Rini looked at the floor. 'But I've never managed to beat you, what if Jack thinks I'm bad?' Rini muttered.
'He won't Rini, I don't think any of us managed to beast Jack except for Leo and Juliet and that was only once or twice.'
After a quick kiss on her lips from Violet Rini stepped on the elevator on the blue side, Violet took the red side.
The Blade looked at Jack: 'Thank you for this opportunity, Rini has a lot of potential but in a casual Duel I feel she doesn't reach her potential, maybe now that people are watching and she thinks something is on the line we can see what she really can do.' Jack's gaze met that of Violet Jack nodded as if he knew what she was thinking. Slowly the elevators reached the top, then the hologram projectors, Life Point meters and playing area buzzed to life.
'As is common.' Jack stated: 'The aspirant member has the first turn.' Jack stated.
'Duel!' Both Rini and Violet shouted when Jack gave the sign they could begin.
(Rini: 8000) - (Violet: 8000)
Rini drew her opening hand. 'This is where I normally would set a monster to keep you guessing, but since you know my Deck I start with Birdface instead.' A bird-man appeared his humanoid body was clad in steel armor, his head was that of a bird covered in yellow feathers he had a black beak as mouth and a red horn on top of the head, his eagle-like wings were attached to his arms which were covered by yellow gauntlets, his legs were reptilian and covered in many green scales, the monster stood a little hunched over one of his legs a little from the ground and his arms wide, he seemed ready to attack. (1600 ATK)
Quickly Rini played another card which appeared face-down in the rectangular space behind Birdface. 'I end my turn.' She stated.
Violet drew her card. 'I start with a face-down card.' She stated as a reversed monster appeared inside the arena.
'You triggered my Shadow of Eyes trap!' Rini stated the face-down cards on both sides disappeared on Rini's side it changed into a trap on Violet's side appeared a monster it was a rose with three flowers on a single stem, each flower had a blue eye in the middle. (1300 ATK)
'So Revival Rose.' Rini said with a smile: 'Looks like we both didn't want to start strong.'
Violet replied with a simple smile, she saw Rini living up. 'I simply wanted to see what your face-down card was and as I thought it was Shadow of Eyes.' Violet stated as she played a face-down card herself which appeared behind Revival Rose. 'I end my turn for now.' Violet stated.
Rini was quick to drew her card.
'Birdface attacks Revival Rose.' She stated.
'I activate Wall of Thorns!' Violet shouted her face-down card disappeared and Birdface exploded in pixels.
'As I thought.' Rini said as she took her Deck from it's place. 'You want to Synchro summon that is why you're protecting your Revival Rose, I knew you would use your trap to wipe out my monster in order to protect yours, of course the destruction of Birdface allowed me to add Harpie Lady 2 to my hand.' Rini spoke as she found the card she was looking for near the bottom of her Deck.
Quickly she placed two cards on the console one appeared as a face-down monster the other one appeared face-down behind it.
Violet showed another smile: 'You know me too well Rini, you must know what comes next, we've been testing the waters a bit so to speak but the fun starts now.'
Violet placed her hand on her Deck her gaze met that of Rini both smiled then she drew her card.
'Now I shall summon Red Rose Dragon.' Violet stated inside the arena appeared a creature made of plant material, it's black body was made of a sturdy, root-like material, it stood on four tiny legs and had a serpentine head several leaves drew out of it's back between those leaves grew two red rose buds. (1000 ATK)
'I now tune level three Red Rose Dragon to level four Revival Rose.'
Both monsters slowly faded out of the arena. 'Chilling flames engulf the entire world. Pitch-dark flower, set into bloom! Synchro Summon! Appear now, Black Rose Dragon!' Violet chanted seconds later her Signer Dragon fazed into existence it's black snake-like body that was covered in countless rose petals, it had thin legs and several vines with thorns coming through the rose petals. (2400 ATK)
'Through the effect of Red Rose Dragon since it was used as a material to summon Black Rose Dragon I can now special summon Blue Rose Dragon and I can add Frozen Rose to my hand as well.' First Violet searched her Deck until she had found the spell card, then she quickly played the monster card, a tiny snake-like creature with thorns on it's tail appeared, it was made from the same sturdy root-like material that Red Rose Dragon was made up, it had small wings that were covered in blue rose petals. (1600 ATK)
'And finally the effect of Black Rose Dragon activates, I clear the entire field!' One by one every card and monster exploded in pixels, Rini's face-down card was Icarus Attack as Violet had predicted, the other card was Harpie Harpist, a bird-lady wearing a black skin-tight outfit, she had long, flowing red hair and green wings, she sat on her knees and in her hands she held a golden harp.
'Blue Rose Dragon got destroyed which allows me to special summon Black Rose Dragon!' Slowly the Signer Dragon reappeared inside the arena. (2400 ATK)
'I attack directly with Black Rose Dragon.' Violet stated the mighty dragon waved it's vines around, on the meter above the arena Rini's points plummeted.
(Rini: 8000- 5600) - (Violet: 8000)
'I activate Black Garden.' Violet then stated, the normal green floor of the arena disappeared and made place for an image of a statue standing in the middle of a forest clearing surrounded by multiple vines covered in thorns. 'I end my turn.' Violet stated.
'Then that's where Harpie Harpist comes into play.' Rini added: 'Since it was destroyed this turn I can add Harpie Channeler to my hand.' Rini stated as she searched her Deck she found the card near the top quickly she shuffled her Deck and placed it back before she drew her card.
'I summon Harpie Channeler.' A young woman appeared in the arena she had long, reddish-brown hair tied behind her head, it resembled a bow being held together with a fancy hairpiece, she had black wings and wore a white, short, strapless dress with a diamond shape cut out around her stomach showing her belly button for the rest she wore white, knee-high socks in her right hand she held a staff with a black orb on top held by an ''U-shaped'' piece decorated with feathers and in her left hand she held a long chain. (1400 ATK)
'Black Garden activates.' Violet stated: 'First of all the attack of your monster is halved then I get a Rose Token summoned to my side.' She explained, first the Harpie got weaker. (1400- 700 ATK)
After that a rose shaped like a person appeared in the arena on Violet's side, it's roots were stuck in the arena, it had small vines as arms and the rose bud formed the head. (800 ATK)
'Next.' Rini continued: 'Harpie Channeler's effect, by discarding Cyber Harpie Lady I get to special summon Harpie Dancer in defense mode.'
Another woman appeared she had long, blond hair and white wings, she wore a black, bra-like top with golden decals dangling from the bottom, a black bikini bottom with golden decals at the top, a golden, decorative belt around her waist and black socks that covered almost her entire legs with fur at her feet. (1000 DEF)
Another one of the humanoid roses appeared on Violet's field. (800 ATK)
'I activate the effect of Harpie Dancer, I send her back to my hand so I can normal summon a Harpie.' As Rini took back the card her monster faded out of the arena, then she quickly played another card. 'I summon Harpie Queen.' She stated as she did.
Another woman this time with long, green hair tied in a tail appeared, half of her face was covered by long bangs, she had white wings, she wore a blue outfit consisting of a bikini bottom, her chest was covered by two small straps those straps were connected to the bottom part, she also wore a matching choker, the straps from her chest were connected to the choker a green medallion also was decorating the choker, her legs were mostly covered with a wide, blue piece of cloth held up by straps connected to the bottom part, a golden piece of jewelry decorated her forehead. (1900- 950 ATK) A third Rose Token appeared on Violet's half of the arena. (800 ATK)
'And now I activate Phalanx Pike on Harpie Queen!' The equip spell card appeared on the field behind the Harpie Queen. 'Now Harpie Queen gains nine-hundred attack points for each monster in the Graveyard that shares her name, and as long as Harpie Queen is on the field her name is Harpie Lady, same as all the Harpie's in my Graveyard are named Harpie Lady.'
Rini showed the Cyber Harpie Lady and Harpie Harpist, electricity appeared around Harpie Queen as she powered up. (950- 2750 ATK)
'First Harpie Channeler attacks the Rose Token!' She commanded, the Harpie leaped up, the Rose Token made a whipping motion with it's vine and the Harpie Channeler exploded in pixels.
(Rini: 5600- 5500) - (Violet: 8000)
'And that's a third Harpie Lady in the Graveyard.' Rini said with a smile her Harpie Queen became stronger once more. (2750- 3650 ATK)
'Harpie Queen attacks Black Rose Dragon!' The regal bird-lady leaped up then a dive-kick shattered the Signer Dragon in countless pixels.
(Rini: 5500) - (Violet: 8000- 6750)
'I end my turn.' Rini stated.
Jack was curiously watching the Duel, he smiled when Rini made her call. 'Well played Rini.' He softly muttered.
'Black Garden halves the attack power of all monsters, Black Rose Dragon was the only monster on the field with it's full attack points, nothing Rini could summon would be able to surpass that with half attack points, increasing the attack points of Harpie Queen made her the strongest monster, even further increasing her attack points by sacrificing another Harpie, now Violet has no monsters that could defeat the powered up Harpie Queen, unless she destroys the equip card that is.'
Kailyn touched Jack's shoulder to get his attention.
'Why didn't she attack the Rose Token? It would deal a lot of damage.'
Jack shook his head. 'She could be she forced Violet's hand, if Violet were to send Black Garden to the Graveyard with the three Rose Tokens she could revive Black Rose Dragon, if she keeps the field spell her field would soon be cluttered with Rose Tokens and she has to deal with monsters that have only half the attack points, Violet's only benefit was her Black Rose Dragon with full attack points, she lost that benefit and now the field is equal again for both, so either Violet keeps the field spell and fights with weakened monsters and a lot of Rose Tokens or she gets rid of the field spell and revives Black Rose Dragon.' Jack calmly explained as he didn't want to disturb the Duelists.
'You think Rini saw this coming?' Kailyn asked.
'I think she did, with in order to revive Black Rose Dragon she needs Plant monsters on the field that equal the total attack points of Black Rose, with three eight-hundred attack point monsters she met that requirement, Rini gave her these three Plant monsters with this effect in mind.'
Kailyn looked at the Duel arena: 'Rini's good if she can outsmart Violet like that.'
Over at the arena Violet drew her card.
'Nice play Rini, well you know my answer.' The field spell effect in the arena disappeared changing the background to its original color, after that the Rose Tokens all exploded in pixels and Black Rose Dragon reappeared inside the arena. (2400 ATK)
'Now I summon Twilight Rose Knight.' A blue-haired young woman appeared in the arena, she wore black armor decorated with red lines, around her shoulders she wore a white cape, she held a short sword loosely in her hand. (1000 ATK)
'Twilight Rose Knight's effect allows me to special summon a level four or lower monster from my hand.
A new monster that Rini hasn't seen before appeared, a young girl with long, burgundy red hair on top the hair was shaped like a rose, she wore an old-fashioned white dress decorated with roses at the bottom, she wore a long red coat that was open at the front and she wore white boots with a small rose on the tips in her hands she held a black staff with a red rose on top and a vine wrapped around the top half. (800 ATK)
'Meet Blood Rose Witch, one of the two new surprises I have.' Violet said with a smile.
'Next.' She continued: 'I tune level three Twilight Rose Knight to level seven Black Rose Dragon!' Black Rose Dragon started to glow with a green light.
'Thorns draw blood from flesh, the thirst of the flower now quenched! Synchro summon! Bloom even further, Blood Rose Dragon!'
Rini gasped as Black Rose Dragon started to change, it grew bigger, the wings became more pointed at the tips, a large tail made from rose petals grew out of its back even more vines with thorns grew through the petals. (3200 ATK)
Most Blades looked confused at Jack. 'Interesting.' Their leader simply muttered. 'When did she?' Juliet asked.
'I didn't have this new Dragon for that long, the Crimson Dragon spoke to me in a dream, it told me I needed this extra power in the future, the Crimson Dragon compared the Blood Rose Dragon to Shooting Star Dragon and Red Nova Dragon, when I woke up I found this card and Blood Rose Witch.'
Violet looked Rini in her eyes, her friend seemed calm but Violet knew that inside she was panicking. 'Jack I figured that you would have me fight Rini for the application so I decided to keep these new cards a secret, Rini knows my Deck as good as her own now we'll see how she reacts to something unexpected.'
Rini took a few deep breaths, Violet saw some sweat on her face.
'Rini, Blood Rose Dragon's effect activates I banish all cards in both Graveyards, then after that since I used Black Rose Dragon in the summon I destroy all cards except for Blood Rose Dragon itself.'
As soon as both Duelists removed all the discarded cards from the table each other card on the field exploded in pixels.
'And now a direct attack!' Violet shouted, the vines growing out of Blood Rose Dragon violently whipped the platform Rini was standing on.
(Rini: 5500- 2300) - (Violet: 6750)
'I end my turn Rini.' Violet said.
Rini took a second to look over her hand before she drew her card.
'I don't know what this new monster can do, so let's try some things.' She took a card from her hand: 'I summon Harpie Lady 3.' She stated in the arena appeared one of the classic Harpie Ladies she wore a dark-blue outfit that resembled the one Harpie Queen wore, her hair was blue and modeled in spikes standing straight up, she had green wings. (1300 ATK)
'Next Elegant Egotist.' Rini continued her spell appeared face-up in the arena, her Harpie Lady 3 started to glow.
'What people often forget with Elegant Egotist is that it doesn't need to be used to summon Harpie Lady Sisters, I use it to special summon Harpie Lady 1!' Another classic Harpie Lady appeared next to the first one, she wore the exact same outfit as Harpie Lady 3, she also had green wings like her sister only her long hair was pink and modeled in spikes behind her head, she crouched down and crossed her arms. (1400 DEF)
With Harpie Lady 1 on the field Harpie Lady 3 became a bit stronger. (1300- 1600 ATK)
'Harpie Lady 3 attacks Blood Rose Dragon!' Rini commanded most of the Blades gasped, the bird-lady leaped up but got grabbed out of the air by three vines then she got smashed in many pixels against the arena floor.
(Rini: 2300- 700) - (Violet: 6750)
Jack showed a smile as Rini declared the end of her turn: 'This would have made her pass the initiation if it wasn't just a formality like it is now.'
Violet drew her card. 'A bold move Rini I have no monsters in my hand and since Blood Rose Dragon battled your Harpie Lady 3 I cannot use it to attack for two of my turns, so I must end my turn now.'
Rini drew her card. 'This gives me the time I need.' She spoke relieved, she looked around her all the Blades were silent. 'I summon Harpie Perfumer.' She stated another Harpie appeared she had green wings, long purple hair with pink streaks on the sides, she wore pink and purple leggings and a dark-pink swimsuit-like top that left the top of her body and her midriff bare in her left hand she held a fancy perfume bottle. (1400- 1700 ATK)
'With the effect of Harpie Perfumer that activates when it is summoned I can add a spell or trap to my hand that lists Harpie Lady Sisters in it's text.' Rini explained it took her a second to find another copy of Elegant Egotist.
'I end my turn.' She stated as she shuffled her Deck and placed it back on its spot.
'I summon World Carrotweight Champion.' Violet stated after she had drew her card, in the arena appeared a humanoid creature made out of carrots, it's had was a literal carrot with eyes, the arms and legs were also carrots, the body was covered in blue armor, it wore a gigantic golden wrestling belt around its waist. (1900 ATK)
'Attack Harpie Perfumer!' Violet commanded the creature started to spin its arms around like they were drills with easy the carrot-man took down the Harpie Perfumer.
(Rini: 700- 500) - (Violet: 6750)
'I end my turn Rini, next turn I can unleash the power of my Blood Rose Dragon.'
Rini knew that she was in trouble. 'I've got one shot at this.' She spoke out loud then quickly placed two cards on the console both appeared as face-down cards one of them being a monster.
'Violet show me what scary things that dragon can do.' She defiantly said.
'Not yet Rini.' Violet replied as she drew her card.
'Try and stop my monsters Rini. Blood Rose Dragon, World Carrotweight Champion destroy both of her monsters!'
Rini's hidden monster disappeared as the arm of World Carrotweight Champion drilled through it the card made place for another Harpie Lady this one had black wings, long blue hair, she wore a pink corset, pink leggings and dark-purple knee-high socks held up by a set of straps, in her talons she held an glass orb with a metal ring magically floating around it attached to the ring were two smaller orbs, a thin mist appeared swirling in the orbs. (1400 DEF) She exploded in countless pixels next was Harpie Lady 1 who got torn apart by the vines of Blood Rose Dragon.
Rini's hand was trembling as she drew her card, she took a deep breath held it in for a few second than slowly breath out.
'Rini.' Violet kindly said drawing her friend's attention.
'Don't be nervous Rini, you've been doing really good, I see you have confidence don't let that go now, show me what you can do Rini.' Violet encouraged her.
'I activate Hysteric Party.' Rini stammered her trap appeared face-up on the field, I discard Harpie Lady Elegance so that I can summon as many Harpie Ladies from my Graveyard as I can.'
First Harpie Lady 1 materialized. (1300- 1600 ATK)
To the left of Harpie Lady 1 appeared Harpie Queen. (1900- 2200 ATK)
To the right of Harpie Lady 1 appeared Harpie Dancer. (1200- 1500 ATK)
Then all the way on the left appeared Harpie Lady 3. (1300- 1600 ATK)
And finally appeared Harpie Perfumer. (1400- 1700 ATK)
'Violet I figured we would be Dueling today, I know you knew that as well, didn't take me long to figure out you would add some new cards to your Deck in order to keep me on edge.' Rini spoke quickly her voice was shaking and she was sweating.
'For this I can treat one Harpie monster as a Tuner, I choose Harpie Lady 3.' Rini explained with a tremble in her voice.
'Now that Harpie Lady 3 is a Tuner I tune her with level four Harpie Dancer.
Both monsters flashed green.
'Elegant creature of myth, the lady of winds arrives! Synchro summon, come forth Cyber Slash Harpie Lady!' Rini chanted in the arena a Harpie resembling Harpie Lady 1 appeared her top got replaced by golden armor, she kept her leggings but golden armor appeared with spikes on the sides covered most of her legs, she also got golden claws over her normally sharp talons. She had purple wings. (2600- 2900 ATK)
Violet showed a smile, she didn't know this monster.
'So two new monsters unknown to each other, Rini you played well, the winner of this Duel will be decided by one of our new monsters.'
Rini nodded to Violet. 'Right I activate Elegant Egotist so I can special summon Harpie Lady Sisters!'
New versions of the Harpie Ladies appeared three of them standing together one resembled Harpie Lady 1 she wore the same armor as Cyber Slash Harpie Lady she held a whip with thorns in her hands. The second sister looked like Harpie Lady 3 wearing the same golden armor and the last one was Harpie Lady 2 a Harpie looking like the other two but with short, orange hair of course she wore the same armor as the others. (1950- 2250 ATK)
'Now that a spell effect has been activated I can activate the effect of Cyber Slash Harpie Lady, I can send one of your monsters or one of my Harpie's to the hand.' Rini pointed at Blood Rose Dragon.
Violet opened her mouth no words came out.
'Thought so.' Rini said her face was beaming the dragon disappeared out of the arena.
'Vi, tell me the effect of your dragon.' Rini asked.
'When you would use an effect to destroy my monsters I would have used Blood Rose Dragon to negate that by sending it to the Graveyard then I could special summon Black Rose Dragon from my Extra Deck or Graveyard.' Violet explained Rini replied by smiling and nodding.
'I thought so, I wanted to show you Cyber Slash Harpie Lady but I only wanted to show you if I could use her effect and win the Duel.'
Violet smiled: 'So pitting your effect against my Blood Rose Dragon? Or my Blood Rose Dragon negated your effect and I would win, or your effect went through and you would win, a well taken risk Rini one that paid out, now I could stop the Duel because I lost but I want you to give the satisfaction.' Violet spread her arms.
'Go my Harpie Ladies!' Rini shouted, the Harpie Lady Sisters tore the Carrotweight World Champion apart then Cyber Slash Harpie Lady, Harpie Perfumer and Harpie Queen started to claw at the platform Violet was standing on.
(Rini: 500) - (Violet: 6750- 6400- 3500- 1800- 0)
Rini's face was beaming as the platforms slowly descended even before she reached the ground Rini leaped off she ran right into Violet's arms.
'You did good Rini, really good.' Violet praised her Rini draped her arms around Violet's shoulders Violet hugged her back for a moment they just stood there.
'Jack.' Violet broke the silence as she saw Jack wanted to say something she made a motion to stop him. 'Is it okay that Rini and I get the swimming pool floor for tonight?' She asked: 'Privately.' She quickly added.
'Of course.' Jack kindly replied: 'I will give all the pool's functions to your personal account including the shutters for the windows and the door lock, I will shut off the cameras as well. The two of you have earned it.'
Violet whispered a quick thank you.
'Rini, Violet can you go to my office? I will meet you there in about fifteen minutes.'
'So.' Jack spoke when Violet and Rini had left. 'Rini, what do you think?' He curiously asked his team.
'I really like Rini.' Drake replied.
'She's amazing.' Kailyn added.
'From what I've seen Rini is a good Duelist, not anybody can take down an experienced Duelist like Violet just like that.' Serana gave her opinion.
'I must say it.' Leo then spoke up: 'I'm worried about Rini, she's shy except when Violet addresses her then she livens up, won't that be causing problems in the future?'
Nobody wanted to say it but they all knew Leo was right.
'I don't think it will.' Jack calmly replied: 'Don't forget she had a very traumatic experience only recently, fighting Violet to the dead while her mind was heavily influenced by the Dark Signers, she burned to death at the hands of the person she loved, remember that Violet never had answered Rini's love for her, Rini poured her heart out before she died.'
Leo simply nodded as a reply. 'And.' Jack continued: 'After she died she got brought back with all that hatred in her, in the end it was Violet who saved her brought her back then answered Rini's love with her own, so no Leo I don't think this is going to be a problem, it might take some time and she already joined Drake's team for the tournament which is a huge step forward.' Jack looked at Leo a stern look on his face.
'That's what I wanted to hear Jack, if you say it's going to be okay I know it's going to be.' Leo spoke.
Then Jack's expression became serious. 'We all agree Rini can become a Blade?'
Everyone in the room immediately said yes.
'I'm going to make it official right now then, I know Rini wouldn't want a whole celebration, that is why I agreed to her and Violet having some private time in the pool tonight, that's Rini's celebration.' As Jack wanted to walk away Juliet stopped him.
'It's not even evening Jack, a few of us are going into town tonight, want to come along?'
Jack shook his head: 'Not today, I want to do the ritual to become the embodiment of Akatosh tomorrow, I need to prepare for that and I'm investigating some assaults on Sector Security officers, some criminals became really violent, I want to find out if it is a case for us or not.'
Jack's offices: A few minutes later.
'So Rini.' Jack said with a serious tone in his voice. 'Now that you are officially a Blade you get your own place to live, a whole floor for your own.' The newest member's gaze went over to her girlfriend.
'Now this isn't all living space.' Jack continued: 'Your living room, kitchen, shower and bedroom are all a part of the floor, the rest is a place for you to work on whatever you want, there are computers for Blade work, each floor has their Dueling area and a small space you can dedicate to whatever you want, Kailyn for example is building her own small forest there.'
Rini looked at Jack then she looked at the floor. 'Not to be ungrateful, but I want to live with Violet.'
Jack smiled: 'As I thought and that is okay but the floor is still yours, if you need some privacy or want to work on something without interrupting Violet then you have a place for your own.' He said: 'Now for some house rules, your floor so mostly your rules, no things like smoking or using drugs inside the building, no obvious things like breaking stuff, all rooms are made soundproof with the use of magic, so if you want to hold a party in the middle of the night go ahead, the wards are build so that if an emergency happens they break. Every floor is connected to the security grid, there is a central computer that controls the system only our IT technicians are allowed to work with these computers. There are some floors that are freely accessible, we have an indoor swimming pool and an indoor garden among others.' Jack took a second to let it sink in with Rini.
'In light of recent events the rooftop is not accessible for anyone except for Bruce, Miranda, Jill, myself and anyone I give permission to enter, the doors to the roof are sealed with magic that only the people I just mentioned can break.'
After Jack was done explaining he went with Violet and Rini to his workplace for filling out the necessary forms.
'So that concludes everything.' Jack said as he put the papers away.
'Rini, let's go I'll show you your floor after that we can go to mine, it was a big day today and honestly I could use some time to relax.' Violet said with a yawn.
As they walked away Jack stopped them: 'Your order came in yesterday Violet, I had it installed already figured you'd wanted to use it today.'
A wide smile formed on Violet's face. 'Thanks Jack you're the best.' She cheerfully replied. 'You gonna love this Rini, I have ordered a big bathing area.' Rini's face lit right up.
'Two person shower, a big bathtub, a small pool and a bubble bath.' Violet said Rini hugged her friend and gave a quick kiss on her cheek. 'You're the best Vi.' Rini cheered. 'Only the best for my Harpie Queen.' Violet replied with a smile: 'Let's go to the pool now Rini there is nobody there at the moment, we're going to celebrate!' Violet shouted exited.
Jack smiled as he watched the two walk away, this was the first time after Violet had joined the Blades he has seen her truly happy, he was also happy for Rini she had endured several hardships and the few weeks after they rescued her from the grasp of the Earthbound God were rough but Violet dragged her through. 'Look at them now, truly happy.' Jack said to himself.

With Rini now being an official Blade Jack's attention goes to his own big decision, him becoming the new embodiment of Akatosh.
