Evelyn's rampage and plan to resurrect Sara came to a screeching halt, being defeated by Jack she saw no other way but to shoot Jack, however Gizelle broke down the door to the roof and disarmed Evelyn, with Sara's body burned to ashes Evelyn saw no other way out, she jumped off of the skyscraper.
Jack felt no remorse, he and his team had to prepare for the next week when the tournament finally starts. That day is now but Duban has one more surprise.
11. Triangle Duel.
Jack looked over some files and photo's in his room, they were about to leave for the tournament, Jack was just cleaning up a bit.
'The last week has been quite insane for us.' He took a newspaper from last week from his table, it had picture of the skyscraper where Jack had Dueled Evelyn, he threw the paper away. 'Cleaning up Evelyn's mess took quite some time, more than anticipated Sector Security had removed most of the bombs our Blades cleaned up the drones, when we thought we were done Leo found a storage room with even more bombs and drones inside, it took us one day to clean that mess up, luckily things went faster when we found out none of the devices were active.'
His eye then fell on another newspaper. ''Huge amount of New-York citizens lost memories for a few hour.'' The headline read.
'This was another thing we had to deal with, Evelyn's dome she placed around the skyscraper people had seen it, in the end the special division of Sector Security had to erase the memory of all the non Aware people after myself, Serana, Lyla and Rini had cleared all the magic. Afterwards the Aware part of the ministry had made up some nonsense about some gas that was leaked that caused the loss of memory, at least the people bought it or they didn't care enough, problem was solved that's what mattered.'
He threw the newspaper away as well.
Then Jack took a bottle full of what looked like ashes.
'Too bad to see those cards go.' He muttered to himself as he emptied the bottle in the garbage can. 'The Destiny Heroes had been regulating the magic from himself and Evelyn, the strain of that magic became too much even for the cards that were adapted to such magic, the cards slowly crumbled until only the ash-like substance remained. Rumors has it though that a card manufacturer is reconstructing the cards, this time they would be normal cards, no magic involved.'
Then Jack stopped to look at a glass case with a Sector Security badge in it, h gently touched the glass it had Richard's name and badge number on it, Jack gently picked up the case and placed on a shelf of his cabinet next to a Sector Security Deck that had also belonged to Richard.
'Three days after Evelyn's attack we were invited as guests of honor to the remembrance ceremony, in the end Jack turned the somber tone around, celebrating Richard's life and all the good times he and his colleagues had, Jack just knew this was how he wanted to be remembered, Gizelle had gotten her hands on Richard's badge and Deck, she gave it to me the memories were too painful for her.'
'The day after the ceremony there would a day of mourning for Sector Security which of course got abruptly disturbed by a group of Half-Dwemer trying to rob a bank, I agreed to take them on since they were Half-Dwemer allowing Sector Security to keep their day of mourning, I took my team and rounded the criminals up within minutes, they were really easy to beat in a Duel, I had hoped they had some information on Duban, turned out that not all Half-Dwemer are devoted followers of The New Government.'
Then Jack looked at the mourning card.
'Richard's funeral, it would have been the same day as the tournament, I insisted to have it earlier because I found it really important for me and my team to be there, and participating in a tournament while one of my best friends got buried wouldn't feel right.' Jack smiled, he could hear Richard's voice objecting to this, definitely he would rather have Jack mis his funeral then the tournament.
Then Jack took a glance over another invitation.
'Yes Gizelle's promotion, she got a whole ceremony for her promotion to Commissioner, for her actions that helped defeat the Dark Signers and last week Evelyn, a deserved promotion, of course this ceremony ended in a huge party and I allowed my team to let loose for the first time in forever.'
He placed the invitation and mourning card on the same shelf as where he had the badge and Deck.
'Now yesterday was a busy day for most, I allowed my team to relax before the tournament started and of course nobody did, I took my team shopping well minus Violet who had asked me if she could use the swimming pool again privately, I agreed to this I know Violet is worried about Rini participating and them not being together.' Jack started to pack his things making himself ready to go. 'Serana has been with Vi and Rini for a while, I hope Serana managed to easy Violet's mind, I even asked Kailyn to give Serana a vial of that stuff she made that calmed Rini down, in case of emergency, I think this has eased Violet's mind enough.'
After he was done packing he started to put away some more files and papers. 'Of course Drake had other plans he took Don and Michelle to the local Duel arena to get some practice in and work out some general strategies. Violet and Rini has spent the rest of the day together in our pool Serana then joined Harkon and Lyla for some shopping, Harkon needed some new suits as he is now The Blades man of finances. After Jurgen died it was Jill who temporarily did the finances, but after her father died Jill felt there was nothing left for her here and she wants to move on, I had no other options but to agree, however she is now an honorary member and is allowed to return here whenever she wants.'
Jack put away Jill's documents which now stated she was no longer a Blade, he then took a different paper. 'Harkon now being our man of finances got access to the penthouse I have no desire to live there and Harkon wanted a place where he could be secluded, he now fully adopted Lyla and he wanted a place where she could live in peace.'
He put the deed to the penthouse away which now said it was in ownership of Harkon. 'With Jill leaving her soon-to-be husband Bruce didn't stay either though Bruce is still closely working together with us, he joined Sector Security in the Aware division as an adviser and Captain, he works closely with us and works directly under Gizelle, rumor has it he'll even gets his own division soon.'
Jack then took the last paper from his desk he smiled.
'Our own Dueling arena, for out services in defending New-York from the Dark Signers and Evelyn the mayor asked if we wanted a Duel arena, of course I accepted. I see opportunities with that. Of course it needed a manager and Carl asked me to be relocated from managing our bar to the arena, it was a live-long dream of his to own an arena. Well with Carl gone as manager for the bar that would fall on Nisha, the vampire refused as in her own words: She found herself too chaotic to run anything.'
Jack put the paper of the deed to the arena in the folder and placed it in his vault. 'Luckily Miranda wanted to quit with our combat division with Jill and Bruce leaving she was the oldest member and she wanted to give us all the space to grow. So it was settled that Miranda would retire from the combat division and I made her the new owner of our bar.'
Then Jack's phone went off breaking his train of thoughts, it was message they were about to leave to the tournament.

It was still early in the morning the sun had just started to rise.
Jack's team and Drake's team were one of the earliest teams to arrive, only Ushiwaka was already there as was one of the invited countries, Jack recognized the Dutch flag. The cold was in the air at near freezing temperatures.
The teams were gathering in the Coliseum the biggest Dueling arena America had, there were stands lined around the sides of the arena, there were more luxurious balcony seats as well, the stadium had options for several small Duel fields or one big one that made the monsters appear gigantic, for now a podium was build in the middle of the field, the stands were slowly filling up with people.
'Ushiwaka!' Jack shouted drawing his attention. 'You're early.' Jack stated.
'Staking out the area.' Ushiwaka replied as he was constantly looking around. 'Where's the rest of your team?' Leo asked.
'Rao and Susanoo are staking out as well, the other two are just looking around, I figured Tamamo would try something, for now I've seen nothing yet.'
Almost one hour later.
All the teams had arrived in the meantime, Jack had returned with Ushiwaka and the rest of his team, there were no signs of Tamamo.
Over the intercom it was announced that Duban would soon arrive on stage and that all participants had to go to the field.
'So who are all the teams?' Jack asked as he looked around, he already had pointed out the Netherlands, an up and coming team favorites for becoming the next European champions.
The German and France team were found pretty quickly as they all a flag of their country depicted on their jackets, two rivals almost always number one and two of Europe who has what place often changed.
'The ones over there.' Ushiwaka said pointing at a group of two women and three men. 'That's the official Japanese team, they hold the Japanese champion and second and third place, the other two are favorites for the title never joined a tournament before this one.' Ushiwaka explained.
Then five people walked in, the guy in the front was the most striking person with his bleached hair, he was wearing red pants with white stars on it, a jacket that depicted the American flag and sunglasses despite the sun was still rising, the four walking behind him all had a small flag depicted on their clothes. 'So that's the world champion Anthony Keith, descendant of Keith Howard better known as the famous cheater Bandit Keith.' Drake stated he then tapped Jack's shoulder and pointed to another team.
'I know what I'm doing.' He said with a grin Jack took a look. 'Norman? The currently known leader of the Mythic Dawn and possible embodiment of Mehrunes Dagon, what is he doing here?' Jack wondered.
Drake chuckled: 'I don't know, maybe he thinks he can gain some power here, whatever the reason he's here for he'll have to deal with me.'
Jack looked around some more he then recognized The Circle and The Dawnguard, he already knew they would be here they were here for the same reason as Jack was taking out The New Government.
Jack hadn't seen The New Government yet suddenly Juliet drew Jack's attention he pointed at one of the teams, one was a human, two were Dark Elves and they had an Argonian with them but their fifth member was a giant of a man, towering above all other contestants, his body covered in robes. 'That magic coming from the giant do you feel that?' She asked.
Jack nodded: 'Unmistakably that's Errol.' Jack confirmed what Juliet already thought. 'Last time I saw this Errol was when he attacked me with a Dark Synchro, this Errol is the magic mimicking Errol's soul his body was destroyed after he attacked me and Sabrina had made a Dwemer Construct for him as a new body, I assume this is it and that means we need to be careful.'
'So that leaves two teams.' Kailyn then spoke she pointed at five rather tall women. 'Who're they? They're not human they're clearly Mer, they look like High Elves but something's off they're not Dwemer either.'
Then Ushiwaka pointed out the last team. 'That's Australia like the Netherlands up-and-coming, while the Netherlands are favorites for the European title Australia are favorites for the next world champion title.'
Suddenly the murmuring around them stopped everyone's attention turned towards the stage Duban, this time wearing gray robes climbed up he grabbed the microphone.
'Welcome everyone.' Duban started. 'The tournament is on the brink of starting, in two hours things will start off, my name is Duban leader of one of the teams The New Government. Yes we participate and we organized it, this year we decided not to hold a WRGP, we do a battle royale, I shall explain the rules.' The Dwemer stopped for a moment.
'There are fifteen teams six of them are teams representing a country, they got invited by us personally, then there's The Blades who got a free ticked in because they saved New-York from the Earthbound Gods only a few months ago. The rest of the teams are groups of Duelists who entered at their own merits, those teams do not represent the country they came from.'
The large screen behind Duban turned on, the team names, players and photos of the Duelists appeared one after the other.
The New Government: Kamdida, Ghard, Gruvith, Nevind and Duban as the leader. Jack could tell that Gruvith and Nevind were Half-Dwemer.
The Blades: Leo, Juliet, Violet, Kailyn and Jack as the leader.
The Star-Spangled Duelists: The American team: Brian, Carol, Henry, Chloe and Antony Keith the current world champion as the leader.
The Brotherhood Fist: The German team: Ernst, Karl, Hans, Otto and Hermann as leader.
Illuminated Duelists: The team from France: Aida, Jeana, Emilie, Clément and Esteban the eternal rival of Hermann as the leader.
Outback Duelists: The team from Australia: Willow, Sienna, Archer, Finn and their leader Hunter.
The Dueling Dutchman: The Dutch team: Erik, Amber, Julian, Lucas and Milan their leader.
Rising Sun: The official Japanese team: Rai, Azumi, Jiro, Goro and Yasuo as the team leader.
The Daggers: Michelle, Don, Serana, Rini and Drake as the team's leader he was still proud of the name.
Demon Hunters: Rao, Susanoo, Ichi, Ai and Ushiwaka as the leader.
The Circle: Jennifer, Sapphira, Dryas, Silke and the mage Blake as the leader. Jack knew they were here for The New Government, they have the Synchro Gods but Jack doubted if those could stand a chance against the power Duban held.
The Dawnguard: Clair, Mike, Daniel, Sophie and the leader of the team Larry was also the new boss of the entire organization as their previous leader Nash turned out to be a criminal mage with incredible power who tried to seize control when The Blades were facing Volkihar, Nash got taken by Victor leader of the Psijic Order, Clair was set to take over but she found Larry better as a leader than herself.
Mythic Dawn: Leroy, Senna, Tyra, Vinny and Norman as both the leader of the team and the organization.
Blood Hand: Nuraree, Narnis, Astrid, Derkith and Errol as the team leader, the photo's all showed the members dressed in black robes with hoods.
Destiny's Duelists: Dalilah, Tiye, Qiana, Xenia and Na'eemah as their leader.
The screen went black. 'These are the teams and their members.' Duban picked back up his speech. 'The city is divided in five areas those areas are: Urban, park, docks, industrial and the derelict carnival.' Duban summed up. 'Three teams will be dropped in each location so that the teams start out spread evenly, travel between the areas is allowed of course.' He paused for a moment. 'Now for the rules when you come across a rival team you can challenge them for a Duel, Duels cannot be refused, anyone is allowed to intrude the Duel, if they are members from the team already in a Duel they join their team members, if members from a third team join it becomes a triangle duel. Duelists who intrude no matter from which team their life points start at four-thousand. Life points are restored to eight-thousand after each Duel. If a team loses all five members the team is eliminated, once only members of two teams remain their final Duels will be held here in this coliseum. The winning team get five-million in their currency of choice one-million for each member.'
The screen behind Duban turned on again showing the team names and the zones, the names from the teams started to shift around until the screen showed the following.
Urban: The Blades, The New Government, The Circle.
Park: Blood Hand, The Star Spangled Duelists, Rising Sun.
Docks: The Daggers, Mythic Dawn, Outback Duelists.
Industrial: Demon Hunters, Brotherhood Fist, Dueling Dutchman.
Derelict Carnival: The Dawnguard, Destiny's Duelists, Illuminated Duelists.
'Now.' Duban continued: 'There are some special rules regarding Duels, each area has their own little coliseum Duels in there will always be one-on-one and nobody can intrude there, these arenas are for the Duels shown in-dept, the tournament can be followed online we broadcast the tournament live focusing on interesting bits. There is an app you can use that shows the entire fields of every Duel, there are many cameras spread throughout the areas which you can spectate with catching a glimpse of any Duel you like. The Duels in the special arenas will be shown in full.
The screen behind Duban turned off, he jumped off the stage a bunch of staff members started to quickly move it to the side.
'In about one-and-a-half hour the tournament starts, there are vans waiting outside the arena those vans will bring everyone to their area in about thirty minutes they are available, since some areas are not connected you can use these vans to move between areas as well, now in about thirty minutes a special event will start right here in this arena, this special Duel will be broadcast to all television screens throughout the areas. There will be a triangle Duel between Jack, Juliet and Leo of The Blades, the saviors of New-York.'
Leo and Juliet were shocked Jack showed no reaction.
'All teams can use this half hour to browse some cards, once you approach a van your Deck will be evaluated and once you step in the van you can no longer change cards except for the cards you hold in your Side Deck.' Duban concluded.
The Blades stayed where they were while the rest of the contestants walked away, Violet and Rini gave each other a quick kiss before Rini left. Suddenly Duban approached them.
'Your starting area will be this Coliseum so you don't need a van.' Was the first thing he said like nothing happened.
'And why do you think we will Duel?' Jack coldly asked.
Duban took a tabled out of a pocket of his robes, he showed it to The Blades, the screen showed Ravin in his hospital bed, a nurse was with him she was clearly Half-Dwemer.
'As you can see your new nurse who was supposed to take of Ravin during the tournament is one of my people, she cares for Ravin as you hired her to do, in about twenty minutes the triangle Duel starts, Ravin's nurse is watching, if all three of you are not on the field ten minutes after the starting signal has been given she will give Ravin a lethal dose of poison.'
He put the tablet away. 'Oh and don't go warning anybody, the poison is already connected to his intravenous drip, anyone enters that room trying to stop her and she can administer the poison before anyone can make a move, it will instantly kill him.' With this warning Duban walked away leaving The Blades in shock.
Jack, Leo and Juliet entered the Dueling field right on time, the buzzing crowd went silent as the Duelists entered, the announcer made a short introduction, when he was done three Duel Disks and D-Gazer activated, Jack had decided to use a D-Gazer instead of his magic.
'Duel!' All three shouted.
(Juliet: 8000) - (Jack: 8000) - (Leo: 8000)
'Since you two won't I'll start first.' Juliet declared she took a glance at her opening hand. 'Since I control no monsters I special summon Primitive Butterfly!' She shouted, a small insect resembling several extinct butterflies appeared, it had a purplish body and six green wings, an eye-like pattern was glowing on five of the wings. (1200 ATK) 'Next I normal summon Force Resonator.' She continued to the left of the butterfly appeared one of her many, robe-wearing fiend tuners, this one had a black orb with a face painted on it behind him. (500 ATK)
'I increase the level of my Primitive Butterfly by one.' An eye pattern appeared on the sixth wing of the butterfly. 'And now I tune my level two Force Resonator to my now level six Primitive Butterfly!'
The arena was illuminated in a bright, green light.
'Darkness gathering into my very being, the blood of the red dragon coursing through my veins! Synchro summon! The soul of the demon king reborn! Red Dragon Archfiend!'
The crowd started to cheer as the massive red dragon came flying over the arena before landing onto the grass, it dug its massive claws into the ground, fire came out of its nostrils. (3000 ATK)
'I end my turn.' Juliet stated.
Leo and Jack looked at each other, Juliet was way too into this.
'Guess I'll go second.' Jack stated he looked at Red Dragon Archfiend.
'Let's use this to our advantage, Leo, Juliet let's go all out, not everyone knows us, if we want to succeed we need as less people coming for us as possible, I'm speaking the country based teams, if say the Australia team engages us then it's easy for an Errol to intrude and that could give us a lot of trouble, so I'd say we use this to put some fear into those teams so they leave us alone.' Jack spoke softly as he rearranged his cards before picking two. Juliet and Leo agreed to their leader.
'My turn then.' Jack stated as he played one of his two cards. 'Since there is a high level monster I special summon Junk Giant!' Before Jack the ground broke open the massive monster with the spherical body launched up from the hole then it crashed down on the ground before unfolding itself. (2000 ATK)
'Now I normal summon Nitro Synchro!' Jack continued, from the edge of the field came the small robot nitro tank marching onto the field. (200 ATK)
Seconds later the green light enveloped the arena again.
'Gathering stars light the way to my destiny, soul of the ancient dragon reborn! Synchro summon! Shine, Stardust Dragon!' Jack chanted, Red Dragon Archfiend turned his attention to the skies as the majestic, white dragon did a few rounds before landing behind Jack. (2500 ATK)
'Now I equip Stardust Dragon with Silver Wing.' Jack stated a spell materialized on the field, the wings of his dragon turned to silver, they glowed even more than normal in the rising sun.
'Your turn Leo.' Jack stated as he ended his turn.
'Can't stay behind now.' Leo muttered as he drew his card, he played a card before him appeared the humanoid creature with a bird's head. (2000 ATK)
'I special summon Gale the Whirlwind!' Leo continued next to his humanoid monster appeared the small bird with green feathers covering its head and dark-blue feathers covering the rest. (1300 ATK)
'You can guess what comes next.' Leo stated as once more the coliseum was illuminated with a green light.
'Black gales lead the way, ride the winds of freedom! Synchro summon! Soar, Black-Winged Dragon!' Leo chanted, the other two Signer Dragons looked up as the third one flew over landing behind Leo. (2800 ATK)
Three massive dragons now stood in the arena, snarling and growling, the crowd was cheering and clapping.
'Attack Stardust Dragon!' Leo shouted, Black-Winged Dragon's wings turned to steel as the massive beast took to the skies.
'Of course Silver Wing prevents your dragon's destruction but you take damage!' Leo's Signer Dragon crashed into Stardust Dragon the pure-white dragon stood firm pushing the black dragon back.
(Juliet: 8000) - (Jack: 8000- 7700) - (Leo: 8000)
'Next I set these.' Leo continued as two cards appeared face-down behind his two monsters. 'And I end my turn.'
Juliet drew her card. 'I summon Reborn Tengu!'
The bird-like monk appeared on the field in a puff of smoke. (1700 ATK)
'Red Dragon Archfiend attack Black-Winged Dragon!' She commanded.
'I activate Negate Attack!' Leo replied as one of his two cards opened up, the dragon drew back.
'I set a card and end my turn.' Juliet stated as it appeared behind her Signer Dragon.
'Your Reborn Tengu would be destroyed by the effect of Red Dragon Archfiend but I tribute Stardust Dragon to stop that effect and destroy Red Dragon Archfiend!' Jack intruded, his dragon disappeared in an explosion of stardust, it descended all around Red Dragon Archfiend then the mighty beast exploded.
'Of course since it is the End Phase my Stardust Dragon returns!' Jack shouted as the mighty beast reappeared behind him. (2500 ATK)
Jack then drew his card, he glanced at Leo who had a devilish smile on his face, of course he knew Jack would have used Stardust to destroy Red Dragon Archfiend, one problematic monster of the field and Silver Wing was no longer equipped to Stardust Dragon. Jack knew that Leo counted on this, but Jack had a plan.
'I must thank you Leo, you really helped me here.' Jack said as he quickly played a card, Monster Reborn appeared on the field underneath the holy Ankh materialized Red Dragon Archfiend. (3000 ATK)
'Mind if I borrow this Juliet?' He teased her, Juliet simply smiled as she had expected something like this to happen, they all were close, knew each others Decks by heart.
'Now I summon Junk Blader.' Jack continued from behind him leaped the warrior with the red sword onto the field. (1800 ATK)
'Now let's see.' Jack muttered he observed all three of the fields.
'First Red Dragon Archfiend attacks Black-Winged Dragon! Absolute Power Force!' Jack commanded the monstrous dragon roared before sending a barrage of flames at the Signer Dragon.
'Junk Blader direct attack!' He then shouted his warrior ran in then took a leap before slashing Leo across his chest.
'Finally Stardust Dragon attacks Reborn Tengu! Shooting Sonic!' The other Signer Dragon Jack controlled let out a roar it fired some blasts of wind blew the Tengu apart, in its place immediately appeared a new one, this one was crouching down with its arms crossed. (600 DEF)
'I end my turn.' Jack then stated as his monsters gathered back on his side of the field.
(Juliet: 8000- 7200) - (Jack: 7700) - (Leo: 8000- 7800- 6000)
'I need to step up my game here.' Leo said as he drew his card. 'I normal summon Blackwing - Mistral the Silver Shield!' A new bird came down from the sky it was a small bird resembling a crow, its head was covered with silver-colored armor that resembled a shield, when the creature was near the ground it slowed down using its wings and gracefully touched down. (100 ATK)
'Now I can special summon Bora the Spear.' Leo continued from out of the dark leaped the bird-man when he landed he took his striking drill-like spear from his back. (1700 ATK)
'I tune level two Mistral to level four Bora!' Once more the coliseum turned green.
'Black gales lead the way, the sword of vengeance descents! Synchro summon, Blackwing - Nothung the Starlight!'
stardust similar to that which was created by Stardust Dragon descended over the arena, slowly a creature came down from the sky, a mighty warrior shaped like a human, clad in black armor he had the head of a bird he had large wings in his hand he held a large sword the guard was large and had four spikes pointing upwards, a yellow jewel was edged in the middle the lower part of the blade itself was blue with four yellow orbs edged into it. (2400 ATK)
'Since Nothung was just summoned my opponent loses eight-hundred life points then a monster they control lose an equal amount of attack points.' Leo stated, Nothung heaved his sword then took a leap he slashed Jack across his chest then in mid-air turned around and plunged his sword in the chest of Red Dragon Archfiend. (3000- 2200 ATK)
(Juliet: 7200) - (Jack: 7700- 6900) - (Leo: 6000)
'Now I activate Dark Eruption.' Leo's spell appeared. 'I add a Dark monster with fifteen-hundred or less attack points to my hand.' He explained as he retrieved his Gale the Whirlwind then he played the card and his monster appeared. 'Nothung once per turn allows a second normal summon of a Blackwing.' He quickly explained, the green-headed bird appeared once again. (1300 ATK) 'I use Gale's effect to halve the attack points of Stardust Dragon.' The small bird started to flap its wings a powerful gale surrounded the Signer Dragon. (2500- 1250 ATK)
'And to finish it off Call of the Haunted!' With a roar Leo's Black-Winged Dragon broke through the ground it was severely damaged and burned. (2800 ATK)
'Go! Attack!' Leo shouted, first Gale leaped up into the air it created more powerful blasts of wind these brought Stardust Dragon to the ground where it exploded in stardust, then Nothung took a leap using his sword to behead Red Dragon Archfiend, Jack braced himself as Black-Winged Dragon fired a barrage of sharp feathers at him.
(Juliet: 7200) - (Jack: 6900- 6850- 6650- 3850) - (Leo: 6000)
'Going for the obvious threat aren't you Leo?' Juliet said with a smile as she drew her card. 'I must thank you for bringing Red Dragon Archfiend back to the Graveyard.' Quickly she drew one card then played another, her Monster Reborn appeared and once more Red Dragon Archfiend was revived this time on the field of its original master. (3000 ATK)
'Now that I have a level eight Synchro monster I can special summon Creation Resonator!' Juliet stated another small robe-wearing fiend appeared in its hands it held an oversize tuning hammer and fork, it had a huge contraption on its back that ended in a ventilator above its head and two small angel-like wings sticking out of the construction. (800 ATK)
'Then I normal summon Barrier Resonator!' She shouted.
A second fiend appeared this ones robes were black on its back it had what looked like a giant battery with two antennas on top of it. (300 ATK)
'Juliet you're not...' Leo started but she stopped him. 'You bet I am.' She replied, Red Dragon Archfiend started to glow just like the two fiend tuners then Red Dragon Archfiend erupted in flames.
'Darkness gathering into my very being, the demon king evolved into its ultimate form, Synchro summon! My soul burns brightly, descent Red Nova Dragon!' Red Dragon Archfiend started to grow, it became more sleek losing a lot of its muscle, its demon-like wings split into four, they were smaller than its original wings more bat-like in shape its spine and tail were covered in spikes, the beast roared as the flames died out, a red aura enveloped the demon dragon. (3500- 5000 ATK)
'Red Nova Dragon gains five-hundred attack points per tuner in my Graveyard which currently are three.'
The crowd was silent, the Duelists on their way to their destination had a television screen in their transport vehicle which showed the Duel, the majority of them were impressed to say the least, of course they've heard of this legendary beast but none of them ever dreamed of actually seeing it.
'And now my trap card.' Juliet stated as she activated her Synchro Call.
'With Synchro Call I special summon Creation Resonator, its effects are ignored, but that matters not.' The small fiend with the ventilator on its back appeared again. (800 ATK)
'Now I tune level three Creation Resonator with level four Reborn Tengu!' Juliet shouted and once again the arena was illuminated by a green light.
'Darkness Gathering into my very being, raging flames of chaos sooth the field of conflict! Synchro summon! The king of chaos! Chaos King Archfiend!' Black mist exploded in the middle of the arena, a tall and thin demonic warrior appeared, he had flaming, red hair his face was covered by a golden mask, his body was blue with green shoulder pads and red legs he wore blue boots, his arms were long and gray, they ended in sharp claws two wings grew out of the back of his arms, the wings were made of flames. (2600 ATK)
'And since a Reborn Tengu left the field I special summon a new one.' Juliet concluded in a puff of smoke another one of the bird-like warrior appeared. (1700 ATK)
Leo and Jack looked at Juliet's field which was incredibly strong, she had the power to take out one of them without any effort. Jack looked at his face-down card, he wasn't worried in the slightest his Stardust Re-Spark would save him, of course he knew that Juliet knew what his card was.
'Reborn Tengu attack Jack directly!' Jack braced himself, the warrior monk leaped forward dealing a powerful kick to Jack's stomach.
(Juliet: 7200) - (Jack: 3850- 2150) - (Leo: 6000)
'Now Leo I don't want you to feel left out.' Juliet said with a sweet tone in her voice: 'Chaos King Archfiend attacks Nothung the Starlight!' The fiend put his hands together. 'The attack and defense of all your monsters are now swapped.' Juliet stated.
(Nothung: 2400- 1600 ATK, Gale: 1300- 400 ATK, Black-Winged Dragon: 2800- 1600 ATK)
Then Chaos King Archfiend moved his hands around in a pattern an orb made of black magic shot out of his hands and obliterated Nothung with ease.
After that Red Nova Dragon unleashed its flames reducing Gale to cinders.
'Enough for now, I'll let you boys try for now.' She sweetly said.
(Juliet: 7200) - (Jack: 2150) - (Leo: 6000- 5000- 400)
Jack's and Leo's gaze crossed, Jack drew his card then immediately played it, the card appeared face-down next to his other face-down card.
'Not much else I can do here.' Jack shrugged.
Leo drew his card. 'I'm not going to survive another turn, but at least I can disrupt your winning strategy Jack! I know one of those face-down cards is Stardust Re-Spark, you plan to use it when Juliet attacks you directly in order to cancel one attack and get Stardust Dragon out.' Leo smiled: 'Black-Winged Dragon direct attack!' Leo shouted: 'Now Jack use your Stardust Re-Spark and forfeit your winning strategy!'
Then Juliet chuckled: 'You forget Leo I can temporarily banish my Red Nova Dragon in order to stop that attack!' Flames erupted around the dragon when they died out the dragon was gone, a flaming barrier kept Black-Winged Dragon from moving.
'You'd rather allow Jack his potential winning strategy?' Leo said in disbelieve.
'I'm not here to win Leo, neither of us are we're here to demonstrate, besides I never got the chance to go all-out against any of you, if Jack has a winning strategy I want to see it, and I bet you want it as well Leo.' Juliet replied Leo said nothing.
'Fine then I end my turn.' He stated.
'And that means Red Nova Dragon returns.' Juliet added again flames erupted around the field this time her dragon stepped out of it. (3500- 5000 ATK)
Juliet quietly drew her card. 'Reborn Tengu attack Jack directly, Chaos King Archfiend Black-Winged Dragon is yours!' Both monsters dashed away, Chaos King Archfiend put his hands together and once more the attack and defense of the Signer Dragon got switched. (2800- 1600 ATK)
While Black-Winged Dragon got blown up by dark magic it was Reborn Tengu who did a number on Jack.

'Now Jack show me your winning move! Red Nova Dragon! Burning Soul!' Flames erupted around Jack but instead of burning him they were kept away from him, stardust shimmered onto the field, the white dragon appeared behind Jack using its wings to shield him. (2500 ATK)
Stardust Re-Spark disappeared from the field.
'Now that I control Stardust Dragon I activate Shooting Star.' His second face-down card opened up. 'With this trap I destroy Chaos King Archfiend!' Jack shouted Stardust Dragon launched itself into the air then fired a beam of light at the dark creature tearing it apart.
Jack drew his card. 'I didn't want to do this, but as the leader of this team I cannot afford to lose, you and Leo never were in it to win, I was.' He choose a card from his hand. 'I summon Turbo Synchron.'
A small, green race car sped onto the field halfway it took a leap and started to change into a robot, two wheels changed into feet out of the other two came arms, a head appeared instead of the driver's seat. (100 ATK)
'Now that I have a tuner I special summon Boost Warrior!' Another warrior with long, red hair appeared, this one wore blue, robe-like armor, he had mandibles attached to his wrists as weapons, he sat on one knee with his arms crossed. (200 DEF)
'Two more.' Jack then stated before he rose his hand, Formula Synchron changed into one green ring, Boost Warrior flew through.
'Gathering stars light the way to my destiny, the race for true power has begun! Synchro summon, come forth Formula Synchron!' Jack chanted, the roar of an engine filled the arena, through the gates appeared another race car, it took a leap into the air out of the bottom sprung two, blue, robot legs, out of the rims of the back wheels appeared matching arms, a head appeared in place of the driver's seat. (200 ATK)
'When Formula Synchron is Synchro summoned I draw one card.' Jack stated as he did.
'And now.' Jack said as he closed his eyes, his breathing calmed down, Stardust Dragon started to glow.
'Gathering stars become the path for a new evolution! Light the way to a powerful miracle! Accel Synchro show yourself! Shooting Star Dragon!'
Where Red Nova Dragon was a sleeker evolution of Red Dragon Archfiend, Shooting Star Dragon was a muscular Stardust Dragon, it was twice the size of Stardust Dragon, its arms ended in sharp claws, its wings had a plane-like design with several black spikes covering the top. (3300 ATK)
The crowd went silent for a second time, by this time each team was in position, for where they were they could see the giant dragons towering above the Coliseum.
'I use the effect of Shooting Star Dragon by drawing the top five cards from my Deck I can shuffle them back in then Shooting Star Dragon can attack once for each tuner I revealed.' Jack explained, in one motion he drew the cards, images of the cards appeared on the screens: Junk Synchron, Quillbolt Hedgehog, Junk Changer, Junk Anchor and Scrap-Iron Scarecrow.
'Three tuners, more than enough.' Jack said then he took one last card from his hand and played it, a spell appeared. 'This is Majestic Absorption, with this card a Stardust Dragon or a monster that mentions Stardust Dragon can gain one of these three effects: When it destroys a monster by battle it deals damage equal to the destroyed monster's original attack power or it can attack directly but I go for option three, I can equip one monster of my opponent to it!' Shooting Star Dragon started to glow, slowly Red Nova Dragon changed into flames, Juliet and Leo gasped as the flames entered the body of Jack's dragon, it started to glow red.
'Let's end this! Shooting Star Dragon!' Two copies of the monster one red and one green one appeared next to the original, the first copy homed in on Reborn Tengu and completely obliterated it, the second copy homed in on Juliet the real dragon fired a beam of pure light at Juliet knocking her over.

The crowd went wild as the hologram of Shooting Star Dragon disappeared, Duban appeared on the screens, his team was already in position.
'What a marvelous show!' The Dwemer spoke: 'And done right on time, the last team arrived at their destination a few minutes ago, The Blades' starting position will be the Coliseum, which means that all the teams are in place, so I want to wish all of us good luck!' He spread his arms: 'Let the tournament commence!' He roared fireworks went off signaling the official start.
