After a Triangle Duel between Jack, Juliet and Leo which was won by Jack the tournament has officially started.
Jack threw his original plan out the window immediately instead of hiding and surviving until the end to confront The New Government then, he decides to charge in right away, taking them out in the opening moment of the tournament when the teams aren't spread everywhere yet.
12. God Versus Machine.
'So.' Jack started as they exited the Colosseum. 'We need to act fast, at first we thought taking it slow would be ideal, now that we start in the same area I'd say we take them out now. We know that The Circle is on our side.'
Leo cleared his throat. 'We need to be on the same page, what is your plan Jack?'
Jack knew Leo would question him, he always did to make sure Jack's plans were solid.
'Leo we're going to make use of the restrictions of the tournament, a Duel can start as a one-versus-one, a one-versus-two or a tag team. During the Duel someone can intrude at the cost of four-thousand of their life points, the difference in Duelists on each team cannot be more than one at any time.' Jack explained. 'Well this means that there cannot be more than two people on any team at one time, if it would be a three-versus-two and one of the two is defeated it will be three-versus-one and that is not allowed.' Jack got interrupted by Leo. 'So you want to exploit that how exactly?' He asked. 'Simple, Violet and Kailyn will challenge Kamdida and Ghard, I will challenge Duban to a one-versus-one Duel, I suspect Duban will honor this, if one of the other two New Government members joins they will do so at half life, once one of them intrudes either Juliet or you will intrude on my side.' Jack replied: 'Then if I beat Duban it doesn't matter what the outcome of Violet's and Rini's Duel is, assuming Violet and Kailyn got defeated Leo and Juliet take on Ghard and Kamdida in two one-versus-one Duels, I take on the other members.'
Leo nodded: 'Sounds like a very risky move but it might be the only move we have.'
After they made their plans they decided to go to the center of their arena.
Then Jack glanced over one of the many screens, he saw The New Government in the square, the place they were going to.
'Either we're very lucky or Duban predicted our plans.' Jack said.
As The Blades hastily made their way to the square Jack's thoughts were racing, it was insane but the only plan he had, striking now when the tournament has just started, the only other team besides them and The New Government were The Circle and Jack knew they would pick their side.
After a few minutes of running they reached the place where he had seen Duban on the television screens, only they were not alone The Circle had also made their way there.
Sapphira stood at the front, she had long, brown hair she wore loose, Sapphira wore a black coat with fur around the sleeves and neck, the coat was closed with several belts, under the coat she wore a dark-red dress with black leggings under it and ankle boots with fur on top, since Sapphira was a vampire her yellow eyes were hidden by sunglasses.
Jennifer stood directly behind her, her long, black hair was tied into two tails on her back, she wore a long, green jacket with fur around the neck, under the jacket she wore warm, black pants and black knee-high boots lined with fur on the inside.
The three other members were watching from a distance, Blake their leader and a powerful mage was dressed like one, wearing dark-blue robes decorated with golden decals and chains his robes reached to the ground, his long, he had cut his usually long, black hair short he has grown a fine beard and mustache, the most striking was his Duel Disk, worn diagonally over his chest connected to a harness, a Duel Disk usually only used by teachers of Duel Academy, the Duel Disk was described as unpleasant to use since it was so heavy, Blake seemed to have solved that problem with the harness.
Left of Blake stood Silke, a young, female mage she wore a dark-blue dress, a black coat and black boots with fur on the inside, she had long, reddish hair. Right of Blake stood Dryas a wild-looking young man clearly a werewolf, his brown hair was spiky and wild, he wore only a black winter coat, some old-looking jeans and black shoes, most of his face was covered by a mighty beard.
Across from them stood the entirety of The New Government.
Duban was still wearing his suit in addition to a Duel Disk that resembled Ghard's, a piece of tech mounted on his shoulder, wires came out of the piece that were connected to a gauntlet where a blade made of energy would come out of, more wires from the shoulder piece were connected to the back of his head to the side of his left eye he had another piece of tech that was his D-Gazer.
Kamdida who stood left of Duban was wearing a black biker suit decorated with pink patterns on her arms, legs and sides, unlike Ghard and Duban she hasn't made any alterations to herself, she was instead using a harness as a Duel Disk, the harness had two, glowing orbs on the back those orbs were the power source of her Duel Disk which was a similar gauntlet to what Ghard and Duban used the wires that were connected to the orbs also connected to the gauntlet, she was using a modified D-Gazer that was also connected to the orbs.
Ghard who stood right to Duban wore only a black tank top, gray cargo pants and black combat boots, clearly the cold did not bother him and if it did he didn't show it.
The other two members of their team stood behind the three, both were clearly Half-Dwemer, Nevind the female Half-Dwemer had long, red hair she wore a pink ski suit, Gruvith a male Half-Dwemer with short blond hair wore a black ski suit, they both wore standard Duel Disks and D-Gazers.
'Are you sure dear?' Jennifer asked Sapphira she gently stroke her cheek.
Jack stopped when Blake noticed him the mage slowly moved closer towards them he was followed by Dryas and Silke.
'Lot has changed Blake.' Jack noticed: 'Are Jennifer and Sapphira a thing now?' He then asked.
'For about a year now, turned out they had feelings for each other neither dared to ask the other, after some encouragement from me Sapphira expressed her feelings to Jennifer and she said yes.' The mage looked back at the rest of his team. 'I'm glad at least someone has a relation, I cannot have one, I've met Victor the leader of the Psijic Order, I was given an invite. If I agree I cannot ever find love, it's forbidden. Sapphira and Jennifer will lead The Circle, I'm not sure if I want to accept the offer but in case I do there is one last thing I want to do for this team. Jack we're gonna wipe out Duban.'
'Three Synchro Gods against The New Government? A three versus three Duel?' Jack asked.
'No Sapphira has all three Synchro Gods, she will use those to wipe out Duban, team members can trade cards with each other so we traded, after Sapphira is done with Duban we trade our Synchro Gods back then we take on Kamdida and Ghard.'
'So that's your plan?' Duban scoffed: 'I will make it more interesting, what if I allow Sapphira to start with all three Synchro Gods already on the field? Of course she cannot play any other cards that turn and she must end her turn immediately.' He spread his arms.
'Deal.' Sapphira replied without hesitation.
'Blake that's suicide, you cannot beat them not even with your Synchro Gods.' Jack tried.
'Jack one word of advice stay out of this, Dryas, Silke if they try to pull anything stop them.' With those words Blake walked back to the side of the square where Jennifer was, the other two members stayed behind, Dryas stood with his arms and legs wide a huge grin on his face, Silke had a calmer demeanor.
'In that case Silke.' Juliet started: 'You and I are going to Duel.' She stepped to the front, Silke nodded then she activated her Duel Disk and D-Gazer Juliet did the same, at the same time Duban and Sapphira's Duel gear activated.
'Gruvith, Nevind.' Duban then spoke: 'Blake and Jennifer don't have their Synchro Gods take them out.'
The two Half-Dwemer looked at each other before they walked up to the two other Circle members. 'Ghard, Kamdida take out anyone who tries anything.'

'Silke as the challenged player you can decide who starts.' Juliet stated.
'Then it's my turn.' Silke stated as she drew her opening hand.
She looked at Dryas who was watching from the sides, a sly smile formed on her face as she took two cards from her hand, quickly she played them one appeared as a face-down monster the second one appeared behind the first one. 'I end my turn Juliet.' Silke said.
Juliet drew her card, she was nervous, she wasn't really used to people all over the world seeing her Duel, during Lucien's tournament she was still unknown. This time around she was high on the list of the best Duelists and the fact that Duban hyped The Blades up so much.
'I start with Reborn Tengu.' Juliet stated, one of her monk, bird-like creatures leaped onto the field. (1700 ATK)
'Now I activate Double Summon.' She continued a spell card appeared on the field. 'Now I release Reborn Tengu to advance summon Salvage Warrior!' Reborn Tengu got snatched away by a hook on a chain, slowly the owner came walking around the corner, a giant of a blue-skinned man wearing a purple helmet, green pants, an orange life jacket and black boots, on his back he wore a backpack where two of the massive chains came out of, he casually swung them around. (1900 ATK)
'Salvage Warrior's effect when tribute summoned allows me to special summon a tuner from my hand or graveyard, but before that a new Reborn Tengu is summoned.' Juliet explained, first another of her monks appeared. (1700 ATK) Then she quickly played a card from her hand, it was Creation Resonator the small legless fiend with the giant ventilator on his back. (800 ATK)
'Well I can guess you know what comes next.' The vampire stated before a flash of green light illuminated the square. 'Darkness gathering into my very being, the blood of the red dragon coursing through my veins! Synchro summon! The soul of the demon king reborn! Red Dragon Archfiend!' Juliet chanted, mere seconds later the devilish, red dragon flew over the buildings before touching the ground. (3000 ATK)
It was after Red Dragon Archfiend had appeared three more figures appeared in the distance, Duban and Sapphira went to the other side of the street to get more space for their Duel, the three figures were a sight to behold. They all were gigantic men towering above most of the buildings, their size rivaled that of a skyscraper, the first one was extremely muscular, he wore only black armor that barely covered his chest with giant, round pauldrons and around his waist, a massive cape flowed behind him, his head was extremely tiny compared to the rest of him, in his hands he held a massive hammer, this was Thor, Lord of the Aesir.
The second man had barely any muscle, he had a jester-like appearance, wearing mostly black clothes decorated with purple frills, this was the mysterious Loki, Lord of the Aesir. In between the two stood a frail-looking, old man with a long, white beard he wore regal white robes and a red cape, he wore black pauldrons much like the ones Thor wore only these had massive spikes on top. This was Odin, Father of the Aesir.
Juliet and Silke took a moment to admire the three monsters before Juliet focused back on their Duel. 'I'm not taking any risks, Red Dragon Archfiend attack the defending monster!' The face-down card disappeared in its place appeared a young woman with short brown hair, she wore a black top, her waist was protected by a skirt made of steel armor, she had a white cape, for the rest she wore blue gloves, black knee-high socks and blue shoes, on her left wrist she carried a small, round shield, her right hand rested on a sword knob, the woman rode atop a small, white horse, she held her shield bravely in front of her. (2000 DEF)
The flames exhumed by Red Dragon Archfiend made short work of the young woman, Juliet who didn't recognize her looked it up with her D-Gazer. 'Valkyrie Sechste? Keeping it up with the whole Norse Mythology I see.' Juliet said: 'Anyway you're open and your monster doesn't seem to have an effect that triggers now so Reborn Tengu direct attack!'
Silke shrugged off the kick Juliet's monster gave her, Juliet then quickly played another card which appeared face-down before ending her turn.

'Oh Juliet you fell for it.' Silke spoke while she drew her card. 'Getting Sechste in my Graveyard is what I wanted, of course I had hoped you would attack my monster with Reborn Tengu but you can't have everything.' Silke shrugged.
'I activate Call of the Haunted.' She stated the ground broke open and Sechste leaped out of the hole. (0 ATK)
'When Sechste is special summoned I get to special summon a Valkyrie from my Deck.' Silke explained, her automated search system ejected the card she wanted from her Deck.
When she played it the sound of a horse galloping filled the streets, a mighty, white steed leaped onto the field on it rode a mighty woman with long, white hair, she wore a chest plate, red gloves and a matching skirt, black knee-high socks and red boots, a long, red cape flowed behind her in the wind, in her hands she held a large shield with a deadly spike attached to the bottom and a sword. (2000 ATK)
'This is Valkyrie Erda and when special summoned by the effect of a Valkyrie all face-up monsters you control lose thousand attack points.' Silke explained, the Valkyrie hit her shield with the hilt of her sword a wave of magical energy washed over the field. (Tengu: 1700- 700 ATK, Red Dragon Archfiend: 3000- 2000 ATK)
'Now Juliet, I send my Call of the Haunted to the Graveyard, eliminating a weakness on my field and it allows me to special summon my next monster!' Sechste gasped as she suddenly exploded then the sound of another white horse with long manes leaped onto the field. On top sat another female warrior with long, black hair clearly older than Erda she wore similar armor with some extra pieces of armor around her waist, the armor was light-purple with dark-purple boots, skirt and cape, she wore an helmet with small wings on the sides, in her hand she wielded a mighty mace-like weapon. (2200 ATK)
'Meet Valkyrie Sigrun, and when Sigrun is summoned I can special summon a level eight or lower Valkyrie monster from my hand or Graveyard.' Quickly Silke took yet another card and played it, a third horse leaped onto the field with a younger woman with long, blue hair riding it, the armor she wore was similar to the others, hers was blue, her weapons were a large shield and a long, decorated sword. (1800- 2800 ATK)
'This is Valkyrie Brunhilde and she gains five-hundred attack points for each monster my opponent controls.'
Juliet looked at the three powerful monsters her opponent controlled, it was clear that Blake, Sapphira and Jennifer were the main party with their Synchro Gods, but the other two were not just invited because they needed five people to form a team, with how fearsome Silke was Juliet wasn't eager to find out what Dryas could do.
'Juliet, thanks to Erda any card that would be destroyed and send to the Graveyard is banished instead. Now Brunhilde attacks Reborn Tengu!'
The warrior leaped forward with her horse in one fluid motion she beheaded the Reborn Tengu.
'When a Reborn Tengu leaves the field another one is summoned.' Juliet stated as a third of the monks appeared this one was sitting on one knee with his arms crossed in front of him. (600 DEF)
'Erda, Sigrun!' Silke shouted Erda was the first to move she leaped at the Reborn Tengu and beheaded the monk, then Sigrun leaped at the Red Dragon Archfiend avoiding its fire left and right, when she was close she used her mace-like weapon to bash its head in. (Brunhilde: 2800- 1800 ATK)
(Silke: 6300) - (Juliet: 8000- 5900- 5700)
Suddenly Dryas walked to the Duel field, Juliet watched as he took position next to Dryas. 'Nice of you to soften her up Silke, now let me end it.' He said with a grin while he activated his Duel Disk, Leo wanted to jump to the front but Jack stopped him. 'Wait, Dryas cannot attack this turn let's wait and see what he does, if Juliet can handle them both I rather not risk a team member, remember you start with half the normal life points against an onslaught of monsters that can be dangerous.'

'So Sapphira, summon your three Synchro Gods so that we can get this over with.' Duban spoke as soon as they took their positions.
'Okay, as you wish.' Sapphira replied quickly she played three cards and the three mighty warriors appeared in a flash of light. (Loki: 3300 ATK, Thor: 3500 ATK, Odin: 4000 ATK)
'As per agreement that was your first turn, so now it's mine.' Duban spoke as he drew his card.
'I shall keep this brief, my time is valuable after all.' The Dwemer stated as he played one of his cards, a light-brown, mechanical egg appeared, this egg was half open revealing the steel inside, two thin, small wings stuck out of the sides. (0 ATK)
'This Sapphira is Grand Core, the very thing that shall eliminate you from this tournament.' Carefully he took another card from his hand.
'I activate Thunder Crash, this card destroys my own monsters then deals three-hundred damage for each destroyed.' The spell card appeared on the field then lightning struck first the egg, which exploded then Sapphira got hit.
(Sapphira: 8000- 7700) - (Duban: 8000)
'When Grand Core is destroyed I can special summon Machine Emperor Granel Infinity, Granel Top, Granel Guard, Granel Attack and Granel Carrier.' First appeared the chest of the massive war machine, a sphere with the infinity symbol on the front, on the back of it it had a tail-like construction, the infinity symbol opened up revealing a blue core inside of it. Next another piece shaped like a small snake-like creature appeared, it had a red, optical eye on the front and a metal spike on its tail, the tail connected to the top of the main body, then two shoulders shoved out of the main body, two arms came out of the shoulders, the third piece that appeared was a construction that somewhat looked like a fish, the weapon connected to the right arm forming a blunt hammer-like weapon, then another fish-like construction appeared this one was close to a shark-like creature, it connected to the left arm, when its mouth opened the barrel of a gun came out, finally a weird UFO-like construction appeared, it were two half circles connected together there were small exhaust pipes on the front and back of each half circle, the two circles split apart each connected to one of the sides of the massive war machine. (8000 ATK)
The infinity symbol appeared on the floor each Duelist stood in one of the circles.
'The original attack points of Granel are equal to my life points.' Duban quickly explained then he played another card, it was Double Summon.
'I replace Granel Top with Granel Top 5.' He stated the snake-like creature disconnected from the tank-like machine, a new piece appeared shaped like a beetle it quickly unfolded and connected to the top of the machine.
'The effect of Machine Emperor Granel Infinity allows me to equip one Synchro monster to it and increase the attack power of my monsters by the amount of original attack points the equipped Synchro has.' The Dwemer explained the center of the body opened up wires shot out wrapping around Loki, slowly the mighty Aesir was dragged into the Machine Emperor, as soon as the chest closed electricity sparked around the massive machine as it became stronger. (8000- 11.300 ATK)
'The two Machine Emperors of my companions are limited to only one Synchro, mine does not have that limitation.' Duban said as he crossed his arms: 'In fact Granel Top 5 allows me to equip one Synchro per turn as well.' For a second time the chest opened this time Thor was slowly dragged in the God tried to struggle with no avail, this time Granel exploded with power. (11.300- 14.800 ATK)
'Attack Odin! Grand Slaughter Cannon!' Sapphira closed her eyes as the cannon of the war machine started to charge, a deafening sound filled the air Sapphira got blown away by the sheer power of the blast, she painfully smashed against a nearby building, her Duel Disk was shattered the arm it was attached to clearly broken, her D-Gazer was completely gone, pieces were stuck around her eye which was severely bleeding.'

'A devastating blow!' Jack heard one of the commentators in the distance shouting. 'Duban managed to take out three Synchro Gods in one turn! A medical team is on their way to tend to the wounds of Sapphira, with Sapphira having all three Synchro Gods now that she is knocked out of the tournament her allies can no longer have access to them, with their Decks tailored around them I'm afraid the game is over for at least Blake and Jennifer, Silke on the other hand is giving her opponent a hard time, Juliet from The Blades is sweating, and what is this?' The commentator shouted: 'It appears as if Dryas is intruding the Duel! Ladies and gentlemen this could be a loss for The Blades!'
Gruvith and Nevind approached Jennifer and Blake.
'Sorry to interrupt.' Gruvith stated clearly nervous his partner Nevind didn't fare any better. 'We challenge you two to a Duel, orders from the boss.' Blake said nothing as he annoyingly activated his Duel Disk, Jennifer did the same, Nevind had some trouble activating her equipment Gruvith had to figure out how his Duel Disk worked then he helped Nevind, Blake shook his head. 'These two, I don't think they've even seen a Duel up close, we should be able to win this.' he whispered to Jennifer.

Gruvith drew his opening hand, for about twenty seconds he was really confused. 'Oh I can do this, I summon Blocker in defense mode.
A weird creature materialized onto the field a loose head, body, waist covered in spikes, two legs, two shoulders, two arms one of which ended in a sword, all parts were bronze its right eye was separated from its head, the left side had three spikes on the side. (850 ATK)
'Now you can't deal damage to me.' He proudly stated.
'Hate to break it to you.' Jennifer interrupted him: 'First of all you place the card horizontally to place it in defense mode, this one is in attack mode and second placing a monster in face-up defense position is illegal.'
Gruvith looked at Nevind not knowing what to do then he declared the end of his turn.
Jennifer quickly played one card from her hand, it appeared face-down as a spell or trap. 'I don't think I need more than this.' She said with a sigh.
Then Nevind played her card, a muscular man appeared wearing only pants and a metal mask covering half his face, he was armed to the teeth, he held an assault rifle in his right hand and a rocket launcher mounted to his shoulder. (750 ATK)
'So Cyber Commander, another weak monster.' Jennifer had to try not to laugh.
'I know what I'm doing because I now set this Mirror Force so when you attack I destroy all your monsters!' Nevind triumphantly shouted as the card materialized on the field. 'And you are not supposed to tell us what face-down card you play, I do appreciate it though so now I can play around it.' Blake stated as he drew his card.
'First I get rid of that pesky Mirror Force.' Quickly the mage played his Mystical Space Typhoon, the storm swept the trap away.
'Now I normal summon Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts.' Blake stated the neighing of a horse drew their attention as the majestic beast came running down from the heavens, a black horse with a golden mane and tail, it had red markings covering its face. (1600 ATK)
'I control a Nordic monster which means I can special summon Nordic Smith Ivaldi.' With a war-cry a dwarf with long black hair and a mighty beard leaped onto the field he wore a green shirt and pants, in his hands he held a large hammer. (1500 ATK)
'Ivaldi allows me to add a Nordic Relic to my hand.' A card got ejected by Blake's automated search system, the card was Nordic Relic Hlidskjalf.
Blake said nothing as he played his Foolish Burial quickly he discarded Tyr of the Nordic Champions to his Graveyard.
'Next is Monster Reborn.' Blake stated in a flash of light Tyr appeared, a giant wearing a white tunic and brown, leather armor around his waist, a blue cloak covered most of his body, he held a large sword in his hands which he kept trained on his enemies. (2000 ATK)
'Now I shall activate the spell Hlidskjalf I just retrieved from my Deck.'
The spell appeared on the field, this spell allows me to special summon Vanadis of the Nordic Ascendant.' A young-looking woman with long black hair, red eyes and white angel-like wings appeared, she wore a black and white dress with a blue pattern on the sides, for the rest she wore black gloves and boots, her weapon of choice was a scythe. (1200 ATK)
'Next I equip Vanadis with Nordic Relic Draupnir.' The young woman suddenly got black gauntlets with green gem etched into them, she became slightly stronger. (1200- 2000 ATK)
'Tyr attacks Cyber Commander!' The warrior held his sword above his head then he took the leap.
'I activate Nordic Relic Megingjord!' Jennifer shouted as her only face-down card turned around. 'This doubles the original attack power of Tyr but he cannot attack directly this turn!' Tyr let out a war-cry. (2000- 4000 ATK) Then he brought the sword down on the heavily armed soldier.

'The rest of my monsters direct attack!' Blake commanded, first Vanadis attacked using her scythe slicing it across Nevind's chest, then Guldfaxe galloped in delivering a mighty kick, Ivaldi finished it off by smashing Nevind's head with his hammer.

Gruvith looked at his partner, panic in his eyes, quickly he managed to draw a card then he played another one. 'Defense mode.' He muttered.
Before him appeared Cycroid, a brown, sentient bicycle its handlebars were arms and the headlight was an eye. (800 ATK)
'I'm safe now.' He laughed as he ended his turn.
'Both are in attack mode you know?' Jennifer casually stated as she drew her card. 'I summon Iljosalf of the Nordic Alfar.' A weird being appeared materialized on the field, it was a lanky creature with light blue skin and matching, long hair it had red eyes and wore a dark blue bodysuit, it kept itself hovering with its long tail. (1400 ATK)
'Attack Cycroid!' Jennifer shouted a hole opened in the ground and her creature used its long tail to drag the bicycle into the abyss.

At that moment they heard the impact of the laser that Granel fired.
'Sapphira!' Jennifer cried as she saw her love being flung across the street.
'Dammit!' Blake cursed as he drew his card.
'I activate Nordic Relic Gungnir!' Jennifer shouted her trap card opened up. 'I banish Iljosalf to destroy Blocker!' The weird blue creature disappeared then a golden spear with a crooked staff shot down from the heavens piercing the head of the weird, orange robot.
'I summon Garmr of the Nordic Beasts.' Blake stated, this time a ferocious wolf with red fur appeared, its belly and part of its head were white. (800 ATK)
'Direct attack!' Blake bellowed, Tyr was the first to strike, then Vanadis with her scythe, followed by another kick from Guldfaxe, then Ivaldi charged in bringing down his hammer finally Garmr finished it off by biting Gruvith's leg.

Jennifer ran towards Sapphira as soon as the Duel ended, Blake didn't even look at their opponents as he started to prepare powerful magic meant to heal his wounded teammate.
Jack looked away from the Duel his teammate was in, missing that Dryas reinforced his teammate. 'Kailyn!' Jack shouted he motioned towards where Sapphira had fallen, both rushed towards her, Jack checked her pulse. 'She's alive.' Jack said relieved. 'I can ease her pain.' Kailyn said as she carefully put her hands on Sapphira one of her stomach one on her head, Kailyn started to chant a warm light came from her hands.
'Duban!' Jack roared drawing the attention of his enemy.
'That was unnecesary cruel, she stood no chance to begin with, you knew that, a display of such power was not needed.'
Duban shrugged: 'I can't help it she lost her footing, I broke no rules Jack, like you just confirmed she lives so I didn't kill, neither did I use magic, as you know our Machine Emperors are incapable of channeling magic, and our detectors would have confirmed magic if I had enhanced my monster.'
As Blake reached them Kailyn was still healing.
'Leave her!' Blake growled.
'Easy Blake, Kailyn is stabilizing her, easing her pain she has no healing magic so don't worry she's not messing up anything.' Jack's words calmed Blake down a bit he then knelt next to Kailyn and muttered a thank you before he started to use his actual healing magic.
'Jack I've got it from here, you go back it seems your teammate is in trouble.'
Jack stood up he glared at Duban. 'We're going to end this now Duban, I challenge you...' Jack got cut short as Blake suddenly pushed Jack aside.
'You tricked us!' Blake roared angrily.
'A trick? I allowed you to start with all three Synchro Gods on the field yet I prevailed.' The Dwemer calmly replied his face showed no emotions: 'The power of your gods failed you.' The Dwemer continued.
Duban slowly turned around to his team Gruvith and Nevind were nervous.
Blake was fuming that Duban ignored him.
'It's okay Blake.' Sapphira then whispered: 'We stood no chance from the start, Duban wouldn't have allowed me to start with all three if he wasn't sure of victory, with me losing you don't have your Synchro Gods, Dryas and Silke are still in but you and Jen? You're as good as done for.'
Jennifer wanted to hug Sapphira, the vampire gently pushed her away.
'We've gambled and lost.' Sapphira then said she turned her attention to The Blades. 'It's up to them now.'
As Blake, Jennifer and Sapphira went to watch Dryas and Silke, Duban turned his attention to his two eliminated members he let out a deep sigh. 'They didn't even had their Synchro Gods and you both managed to lose.' Duban shook his head.
'Boss, we have no experience Dueling, you kinda forced us into this because you needed two people, you gave us a Deck made of random cards. No disrespect but how'd you figure we would win anything?'
Duban gave the two a glare then he burst out in laughter. 'Forced you? I offered you a raise. But seriously you fulfilled your purpose, your payments are in my office I left the door unlocked for you.'
As the two Half-Dwemer left Duban turned his attention to Jack, Ghard was glaring at Kailyn, Kamdida was leaning against a wall with her eyes closed.
'So Jack you was going to challenge me when you got rudely interrupted?' Suddenly all the screens around the arena all turned on at once, showing four people leaping from nearby rooftops into the tournament area, once all four were in a fifth one gracefully landed behind them taking position in front of the other four, the two people on most left and right knelt down on one knee while the other two did not.
'The hell?' Duban cursed immediately his phone went off, quickly he put it on speaker. 'Boss?' A male voice on the other side asked.
'I see it, who're they?' Duban replied.
Jack who was looking at the screen was carefully observing the five, all five wore black robes of sorts, the most left one was tall, Jack could tell it was a man, his robes were loose-fitting he had a hood on and wore a white mask, Jack could see his gray hair he saw yellow eyes peering through the eye holes of the mask.
The female on the most right was of average height she wore a black dress that reached to the ground with a long cloak with a hood over it, her face was visible revealing her tinted skin, she had a tattoo, a difficult almost tribal pattern that started under her eyes, went over her cheeks under her chin then disappeared via her neck under her clothes but Jack could imagine her body was covered as well, her eyes were a striking, deep red, she had piercings through her nose.
The one on directly left of the middle person was a young male, he wore simple black robes that would be too cold for this weather yet he didn't seem bothered by the cold, his hair was short and ice-white, his eyes were a deep blue he had a sadistic look on his face.
The one directly right of the middle person a young woman with light-brown eyes and slightly tinted skin she wore a long, poncho-like garment around her body, most of her head was covered by a piece of cloth carefully wrapped around the horns on her head, for the rest she wore a long skirt, Jack could see a small part of a tail that was wrapped around her leg. Jack knew she had hidden the horns and tail with magic which Akatosh allowed him to see through.
Then there was the middle woman, strikingly tall her robes were regal-like covered with fur around the neck, bottom and edges of her sleeves, she wore a hood that was lined with fur hiding most of her face, what wasn't hidden was covered by a white mask.
'I can tell you who they are Duban, at least two of them.' Jack spoke his voice was trembling, even almost completely hidden he could tell who the middle one was.
Duban said nothing. 'The one all the way on the left his name is Ren, ex lawyer, one of the criminals aiding the Dark Signers, supposed to be left brain dead after his defeat. The woman right of the middle one, she's not entirely human don't know who she is though, then there is the person all the way on the right, I feel an unfamiliar magic from her, she's dangerous I can tell that much. Then Duban, the one in the middle I think you can guess.'
Duban chuckled: 'So that is Tamamo no Mae, all I know about her I know from Sabrina, haven't seen her until now.' He replied to Jack.
'Sir what do you want us to do?' The tournament staff on the other end of the line asked.
'Tamamo violated our agreement, we would honor the deal she had with Sabrina by delivering the Dwemer construct after that all ties would be cut, we honored our end, Tamamo doesn't, she appears here with four others a full team composition she chose this above simply attacking full force, she wants something I want to find out what.' He replied to his tournament staff member. 'So make the announcement that we now have a sixteenth team, as long as they play by the tournament rules they are allowed to participate.'
Duban disconnected the call.
'I know we're on opposite sides.' Kailyn calmly stated: 'But are you insane!' She then shouted, Jack stopped her: 'I would have done the same, Tamamo is incredibly powerful, like Duban said she came here with a full team of five she wants something, denying her entry to the tournament is far more dangerous than allowing her to join, if she wants something she will honor the rules or else she'll be disqualified giving her no chances of getting whatever it is what she wants. If Tamamo wanted war she would have invaded with force, which she might do if she isn't allowed to participate.'
Duban nodded as he heard Jack's explanation.
'Exactly my thoughts, The New Government still have something to settle with you Blades, but Tamamo is dangerous to us both, as long as I don't know what she wants I command my remaining team to refrain from attacking you Blades, a temporary truce if you will.'
Jack looked at the screen the tournament staff could be heard all around the arena explaining the rules to Tamamo's team, once that was done the names of the team and the participants appeared on screen.

With Tamamo in the game things are shaking up, unclear of what she wants Jack and Duban agreed a truce. While Juliet's Duel continues Tamamo sends out Akai and Tai. Meanwhile Ushiwaka starts to move towards Jack's location for the Duel Jack had promised him. ''Team Sixteen'' coming next.
