The tournament finally started after the Triangle Duel between Jack, Leo and Juliet. The first Duels didn't take long to begin, the first clash was between The New Government, The Circle and The Blades.

Sapphira who had the three Synchro Gods got taken out in Duban's first turn, Blake and Jennifer managed without their Aesir to take out Gruvith and Nevind of The New Government while Juliet challenged Silke from The Circle, the Blade was pressed with her back against the wall pretty quickly and at that moment Dryas, Silke's partner intruded.

To make matters worse Tamamo entered the tournament with four others making the sixteenth team.

13. Team Sixteen.

Juliet knew she was in trouble, her original opponent Silke controlled three powerful monsters, Valkyrie Erda, (2000 ATK) Valkyrie Brunhilde (1800 ATK) and Valkyrie Sigrun. (2200 ATK)

Her monsters were just destroyed leaving Juliet with only two set cards.

To make matters worse Silke's teammate Dryas just intruded the Duel stealing Juliet's turn though his life points were halved and he could not attack this turn Juliet knew she would be unable to survive the onslaught of two opponents.

(Silke: 6300) & (Dryas: 4000) - (Juliet: 5700)

Dryas drew his opening hand, he was not allowed to draw a sixth card for his first turn. 'I activate Ride of the Valkyries!' A spell card flashed onto the field.

'Valkyries?' Juliet gasped as she realized what this meant: 'Silke you never intended to fight me one-on-one did you?' Juliet asked her opponent smiled. 'Indeed, Dryas and I use the same archetype, different Deck build though, our Decks compliment each other, I lull my opponent in a false sense of security, then when I up the pressure on my opponent Dryas intrudes, since we use the same archetype our cards can work for either of us, even if our opponent gets a partner it is most unlikely their Decks work in unison.'

'With Ride of the Valkyries I can special summon as many Valkyries with different names from my hand, when I summon three this way until the end of my next turn I take no damage but all monsters I control are returned to the Deck at the end of the turn I activated this card.'

Quickly he took three cards from his hand: 'I special summon Valkyries Erste, Dritte and Funfte!' The sound of three galloping horses echoed through the arena then three white horses with black manes leaped onto the field, on top of each sat a woman clad in similar armor, a chest plate with a miniskirt made of armor, gloves, knee-high socks, boots and a white cape. All but one carried a shield but each held a sword, Erste wore slight blue armor and had long, green hair. (1600 ATK) Dritte's armor was a darker shade of blue, she had short pinkish hair. (1000 ATK) Finally there was Funfte the one without a shield, she had shoulder-length purplish hair her armor was black with a white skirt. (800 ATK)

'With Funfte all Valkyries gain two-hundred attack points for each of your banished monsters and Dritte herself also gains two-hundred attack points per banished monster, which are your Red Dragon Archfiend and two Reborn Tengu!' Dryas recalled, a white aura appeared around the Valkyries as they became stronger. (Erste: 1600- 2200 ATK, Dritte: 1000- 2200 ATK, Funfte: 800- 1400 ATK)

'Funfte also allows me to send a spell or trap from my Deck to the Graveyard.' Dryas quickly retrieved a card then discarded it.

'Now Dritte's effect which allows me to add a Valkyrie card to my hand, which will be Valkyrie Vierte.' Quickly Dryas retrieved the card.

'Now Erste who allows me to add a Mischief of the Time Goddess from my Graveyard to my hand, the card I discarded earlier.' The card slipped from his Graveyard.

'Now I normal summon Valkyrie Vierte.' He casually continued a fourth white horse with black manes appeared, the warrior riding it wore armor like the others hers was blue and black, she had short blond hair. (1400- 2000 ATK)

'Vierte's effect allows me to look at the top cards of my Deck equal to the number of other Valkyries I control, which is three.' He took the top three cards from his Deck. 'Now I can add one normal spell to my hand, but since there are none I shuffle them all back into my Deck.' Dryas did as he explained. 'Now I go into my battle phase, I cannot declare an attack but I am legally allowed to enter my battle phase.' He grinned as he took a card from my hand: 'I activate my quick spell: Mischief of the Time Goddess!'

The figure of a green-haired girl appeared in mid-air her hair was long and tied into two tails that hung from the sides of her head, she wore a simple blue tunic with a yellow cape over it, in her hand she held an ornate gold staff with a red orb on the top.

'Silke and I are Companions, Blake, Jennifer and Sapphira are The Circle, The Circle are the leaders of the Companions currently there are three members of the Circle, all because they got their hands on the Aesir Gods because they are of Nord heritage, as Companions we need to make our own strength since we can't rely on Synchro Gods. With this tournament Silke and I want to prove our worth so we can become part of The Circle as well!' Dryas crossed his arms. 'With Mischief of the Time Goddess I skip time ahead of my next battle phase, this circumvents all the effects of Ride of the Valkyries and allows me to do battle in my first turn!'

'That guy.' Jack muttered: 'These two are incredible, making use of the tournament rules to gain an advantage then Dryas uses his Deck to his full potential. Silke weakening their opponent then Dryas coming in with Mischief of the Time Goddess to finish the job, but this could backfire if Dryas can't finish off their opponent.' Jack closely watched his team Leo and Kailyn were both on edge.

'Funfte direct attack!' Dryas shouted.

'I activate Call of the Haunted!' Juliet replied as one of her face-down cards opened up, the ground broke open and Salvage Warrior leaped out. (1900 ATK)

'I cancel my attack, instead Vierte attacks!' Dryas reacted the first warrior leaped forward beheading Salvage Warrior as she passed by.

(Silke: 6300) & (Dryas: 4000) - (Juliet: 5700- 5600)

'Erste! Dritte! Direct attack!' Dryas shouted both remaining warriors leaped forward they ran around Juliet whilst stabbing her in the process.

(Silke: 6300) & (Dryas: 4000) - (Juliet: 5600- 3400- 1200)

The warrior ladies returned.

'Now I activate the continuous spell: Goddess Urd's Verdict!' The card materialized in front of him. 'As long as this card remains you cannot target Valkyries with card effects nor destroy them with card effects.'

Then right before Dryas wanted to end his turn and before Jack could stop her Kailyn stepped to the front Duel Disk active.

(Silke: 6300) & (Dryas: 4000) - (Juliet: 1200) & (Kailyn: 4000)

Leo looked at Jack. 'This could get ugly for Dryas and Silke.' He said.

'With how the rules work Kailyn takes the place of the next Duelist, since she intruded before Dryas ended his turn the next turn player is Juliet, Kailyn just like Dryas cannot attack this turn, when Kailyn ends her turn the turn goes to the Duelist which place Kailyn stole, the turn order now is Kailyn, then Juliet, then Silke and finally Dryas, both Dryas and Silke have a strong field but they need to survive Kailyn's set-up and then Juliet's assault.'

'My turn.' Kailyn said as she drew her opening hand, Juliet saw anger in her eyes. 'Kailyn, don't lose focus, they played by the rules.' Juliet calmly spoke Kailyn looked at her. 'It's still cheap, they're afraid to fight fair.' She replied with a growl.

'Cheap maybe, but they play by the rules, so do we if they play cheap we simply need to outplay them, we can beat cheap Kailyn we've done so before many times.'

Juliet's words calmed Kailyn down a bit. 'Fine then, so be it I activate the Breaking of the World field spell!' The moment Kailyn inserted the card cracks appeared all over arena grounds a purple light shone through the cracks.

'Next I activate my Turning of the World quick-play spell!' She quickly played the card. 'By using Ruin, Supreme Queen of Oblivion in my hand as a tribute I can ritual summon Ruin, Queen of Oblivion from my Deck!'

Before Kailyn appeared a young woman with fair skin, she had long, silver hair she wore a dress that was red with a black skirt, it left her midriff and the sides of her upper legs bare, her hair was tied together with a bow that matched her dress, for the rest she wore arm-length, black gloves in her right hand she held a pole-arm with a double-sided blade on top, the woman sat down on one leg she held her weapon in front of her with both hands. (2000 DEF)

'Now Breaking of the World activates.' Kailyn stated: 'Since Ruin is ritual summoned I can now destroy one card on the field.'

Dryas gasped as his Goddess Urd's Verdict erupted in purple flames.

Quickly Kailyn played another card which appeared behind Ruin.

'Juliet your turn.' She then stated.

Juliet drew her card. 'I summon Flare Resonator!' She shouted one of her many small fiends appeared holding a tuning fork and hammer in his hands, this one's back was on fire. (300 ATK)

'Now I activate Synchro Call! I special summon Salvage Warrior from my Graveyard but his effects are negated!' Once more the colorful monster appeared on the field. (1900 ATK)

'Now I tune level three Flare Resonator to level five Salvage Warrior!'

A green light illuminated the area. 'Darkness gathering into my very being, the blood of the red dragon burns in my veins! Synchro summon! The soul of the demon king burns! Hot Red Dragon Archfiend!' She chanted a younger looking version of Red Dragon Archfiend appeared on the field, the beast let out a low growl. (3000 ATK)

'And by using Red Resonator as a tuner my monster gains three-hundred attack points extra.' Juliet said. (3000- 3300 ATK)

'Thanks Kailyn, you gave me the opening I needed! Once per turn Hot Red Dragon Archfiend can destroy all other attack position monsters on the field! Crimson Hell Burn!' The Red Dragon Archfiend roared summoning meteorites from the sky. 'Without your spell card your Valkyries can be destroyed by card effects!' The meteorites started to crash down one-by-one the fleeing Valkyries were crushed by the flaming rocks leaving scorched earth where they once stood.

'Now Hot Red Dragon Archfiend attack Dryas directly, Absolute Hell Judge!' The beast spewed forth more flames.

'I activate Ego Boost!' Kailyn shouted her spell card opened up, Red Hot Dragon Archfiend grew even stronger. (3300- 4300 ATK)

Dryas closed his eyes as the flames washed over him.

(Silke: 6300) & (Dryas: 4000- 0) - (Juliet: 1200) & (Kailyn: 4000)

Dryas fell to his knees his mouth was half open in disbelieve.

'No, Dryas.' Silke stammered there was panic in her voice.

'You two.' Juliet then spoke to her opponents: 'You knew the risks of doing this strategy, Sapphira lost to Duban making the Aesir off limits to Blake and Jennifer, without the Aesir their Decks can't stand up to pretty much anything, the next Duelist who challenges them will eliminate them. You and Dryas were the only once left to keep the team alive without Dryas you face me and Kailyn now, as it stands we have the advantage.' Juliet then turned her attention towards Dryas: 'Had you stayed on the side Kailyn wouldn't have joined the Duel, Silke alone would have had a good chance of beating me, now she of course still have a chance but she has to work hard for it.'

Dryas slowly stood up he was trembling all over his body. 'You dare to lecture me?' He hissed.

'Your bosses know there is a lot on the line.' Juliet calmly replied: 'With them out my team has to pick up after them, simply said I cannot afford to lose here, you two fight to prove your worth, we fight for humanity.'

Silke's hand trembled for a moment her hand hovered above her life point counter. 'Silke don't you dare press that!' Dryas shouted: 'There's a reason we decided you would engage the enemy first, you're the stronger of us both! Blake and Jennifer are done for without your protection, you have to break through this! Our team's survival depends on it!'

Silke took a deep breath before she drew her card.

'I activate my spell! Final Light!' The Northern Light appeared in the sky.

'I can pay life points in order to special summon Valkyries with different names from my Graveyard, then you can special summon monsters with two-thousand or less attack points up to the amount of monsters I special summoned.' Silke closed her eyes a warm light illuminated her.

(Silke: 6300- 2300) - (Juliet: 1200) & (Kailyn: 4000)

First Brunhilde reappeared, (1800- 2800 ATK) then appeared Erda, (2000 ATK) followed by Sechste (2000 DEF) and finally Sigrun. (2200 ATK)

'Sechste's effects allows me to special summon Valkyrie Zweite!' A new Valkyrie appeared resembling the ones that Dryas used riding on the same white horse with black manes, her armor was light-blue in color, she had long, purplish hair. (1600 ATK)

'When Zweite is summoned I can destroy one monster you control, which due to Erda is banished instead!' Zweite charged forward beheading Hot Red Dragon Archfiend with her sword.

'Now you can special summon.' Silke stated.

'I have nothing I can summon.' Kailyn replied, Juliet retrieved three cards, first Salvage Warrior appeared, (1600 DEF) then Creation Resonator (600 DEF and finally Flare Resonator. (1300 DEF)

'Now I release Sechste! Advance summon a second Zweite!' A twin of the mighty Valkyrie appeared next to the other one. (1600 ATK)

This time it was Ruin who got slain by the mighty warrior, Brunhilde's attack points were adjusted. (3300 ATK)

'Brunhilde!' Silke shouted, the warrior commanded her horse to leap forward, she slashed Kailyn across her chest.

(Silke: 2300) - (Juliet: 1200) & (Kailyn: 4000- 700)

'Now for the rest of my Valkyries! Direct attack!' Silke roared.

'Salvage Warrior! Resonators!' Juliet replied, her monsters intercepted the mighty Valkyries protecting Kailyn, Brunhilde lost all of her extra power. (3300- 1800 ATK)

Kailyn drew her card. 'That was close.' She muttered.

'We're a team Kailyn, I wouldn't let you lose, but our fields are empty and she has five monsters, I don't see a way out.'

Kailyn looked over her hand. 'Time for a gamble then! I summon Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands!' A creepy-looking creature appeared before Kailyn, it had a grayish skin, its entire body was made out of countless hands. (1400 ATK)

'I add the Cycle of the World ritual spell to my hand.' Kailyn stated as her Deck searched out the right card, she immediately played it. 'I tribute Manju in order to ritual summon Ruin, Angel of Oblivion!'

A young woman walked onto the field, it was clearly Ruin but as a teenager, she had the same long, silver hair, this time she wore a red tunic with black shorts under it and black gloves, her weapon was now a staff. (1700 ATK) Brunhilde became slightly stronger. (1800- 2300 ATK)

'The effect of Breaking of the World activates, this time I draw a card.' Kailyn did as she said.

'Ruin! Attacks Brunhilde!' The young lady started to cast a spell with her staff. 'I discard Honest to increase the attack points of Ruin with the attack points of the monster she battles until my end phase!' A bright light appeared around Ruin's staff. (1700- 4000 ATK)

'I decrease the defense of Brunhilde by one-thousand this turn my Valkyries cannot be destroyed!' Silke replied, the spell hit the mighty warrior she was knocked off her steed but she was alive.

(Silke: 2300- 600) - (Juliet: 1200) & (Kailyn: 700)

'No need to get back up, Ruin can attack twice.' Kailyn spoke right as the Valkyrie stood up she was blasted onto her back again by another spell.

Silke sank to her knees.

(Silke: 600- 0) - (Juliet: 1200) & (Kailyn: 700)

Kailyn and Juliet looked at their opponents, Juliet reached out her hand to help Silke stand up, she aggressively slapped the hand away Dryas helped her up. 'We need no sympathy.' He hissed.

Jack then spoke up: 'This to you is a competition to prove yourself, you used a cheap tactic which horribly backfired. I know Blake he is a respectful Duelist, he choose Jennifer and Sapphira because they share the same honor as he does. Your two have skill that's for sure so that ain't the reason you're stuck in The Companions and not The Circle. You two are sore losers, no respect at all that is why Blake never chose you two.'

Dryas looked at Jack with anger in his eyes, he then looked at Blake.

'Jack's not wrong.' Blake simply replied: 'I told you to fight this honorably, I accepted you two using a twin Deck and I clearly said not to use that in the way you did today. After this is done I will reevaluate you two as members of The Companions and not in a positive way.' Dryas drew back as he heard the harsh words of his leader. 'Now leave the arena.' Blake was clearly angry with his team members, slowly the two backed off.

'Jack I'm sorry about that, those two I've warned them before they always pull stuff like this, this was their one chance to prove they were better.'

Blake and Jennifer stayed behind with Sapphira a medical crew was on their way to pick her up, it was decided that when the team arrived Blake was allowed to get out of the arena, when Sapphira was in the hospital he was allowed back in, until that time Jennifer had immunity for any Duel if she so chose, Blake just wanted to sit down next to Sapphira when he heard footsteps behind him, quickly he turned around, Jennifer was standing in a battle pose with her Duel Disk activated.

In front of her stood a man with white hair and a woman with horns on her head.

Blake looked at the two cloaked people in front of him.

'Jennifer, get out of here.' He calmly spoke.

'I won't leave Blake.' Though he appeared calm Jennifer knew her leader too well, he was on edge.

'I see you for what you are.' Blake then spoke to the two in front of him, the two looked at each other.

'Looks like we have a powerful magic user here Akai.' The white-haired man spoke.

'Tai that should be of none concern, even if the tournament rules allowed the use of magic we would overpower him with ease.' Akai stepped to the front. 'I take Mr. Magic here, you take Lady Non-Magic.'

Clearly annoyed Tai wanted to object, he opened his mouth to say something then quickly closed it again.

'So no Tag-Team then?' Blake asked.

'Not needed.' Akai coldly replied: 'I could beat you with one single attack.

Four Duel Disks and D-Gazers activated at the same time.

(Blake: 8000) - (Akai: 8000) & (Tai: 8000) - (Jennifer: 8000)

When Akai didn't seem to make a move Blake took the initiative, he choose a card from his hand and played it, a face-down monster appeared on his side of the field. 'Your turn Akai was it?'

Akai said nothing, she took her time looking over her hand then she took four cards and quickly put them in their slots, one face-down monster appeared followed by three face-down cards behind them.

'I end my turn.' She then stated.

'So who are you? Why attack us?' Blake asked Akai laughed: 'Who we are matters not, all that matters is that Mae told us to eliminate you two, why she decided that doesn't matter, her command is what counts.' Akai replied.

Tai looked over his opening hand, his cold expression changed into a sadistic grin, after all he had already won, without the Synchro Gods his opponent was no threat.

'I'll go first.' Tai stated as he immediately took a card from his hand.

'I summon Clear Phantom!' The ground started to shake as a giant crystal rose out of the ground, you could see through it inside the crystal sat a weird creature, its body was a rib case with a tail made of muscles attached to the spine, it had a glowing, yellow eye that was attached to the top of the rib case with several wires made from the same stuff as the tail, two large bone-like arms hung next to its body. (1200 ATK)

'I end my turn.' The young man stated.

Jennifer tried to get a reading on her D-Gazer about the mystery monster but it wasn't in the database.

'It looks like one of out contestants played a seemingly illegal card!' The commentator shouted through his microphone: 'I look at the jury.' He paused for a second: 'Jury says the card is legal, its hidden deep in the database since the card wasn't made by any known card manufacturer so our D-Gazer don't recognize it but the card is very much real and legal!'

Tai smiled as he saw all the hope leave the eyes of his opponent, Jennifer bravely drew her card. 'I summon Ljosalf of the Nordic Alfar!' The weird, tall, blue creature appeared in a blue puff of smoke. (1400 ATK)

'Attack!' Jennifer commanded, the creature cast some magic spells at the crystal which immediately shattered the creature within fell down with a loud cry.

(B: 8000) - (A: 8000) & (T: 8000- 7800) - (J: 8000)

'When Clear Phantom is destroyed I get to destroy one monster my opponent controls, then they discard the top three cards from their Deck.'

A crystal formed around Ljosalf when the creature was completely encased the crystal exploded, Jennifer discarded the top three cards from her Deck when her Duel Disk gave the message.

'I end my turn.' Jennifer stated clearly annoyed.

Blake drew his card. 'I flip Vanadis into attack position.' Before Blake appeared the black-haired girl in her black and white dress, her scythe casually rested on her shoulder. (1200 ATK)

'Next I summon Tyr!' Next to Vanadis appeared the giant warrior his blue cape waved gently in the wind. (2000 ATK)

'Vanadis attack!' Blake commanded, the winged lady grabbed her scythe with both hands before piercing it through the face-down card, a small snake-like creature appeared its entire body was covered in red armor, it had bird-like feet and thin arms ending in three-fingered hands, it had three heads two were looking to the sides while one was looking straight in front, the small creature was on fire. (0 DEF)

'Now I activate Backfire!' Akai shouted as one of her face-down cards opened up. 'You destroyed my Volcanic Scattershot, when it is send to the Graveyard you take five-hundred damage and then another five-hundred because of Backfire.

Volcanic Scattershot suddenly leaped into the air completely engulfed in fire it launched itself at Blake, while the Scattershot hit him in the chest another fireball got shot out of the trap card hitting Blake in the chest again.

'A small price to pay, Tyr attacks directly!' Blake commanded the warrior leaped forward holding his sword ready to strike.

'I activate Dimension Wall, now you take the damage instead!' Akai shouted as her second face-down card activated a wall appeared before Tyr as he disappeared through it he reappeared behind Blake striking his master in the back.

(B: 7000- 5000) - (A: 8000) & (T: 7800) - (J: 8000)

'My turn.' Tai said with a grin as he drew his card.

'I summon Clear Rage Golem.' Another crystal with a creature in it appeared, this one was made of a blueish rock-like material, it was an upper body with a lot of spikes and sharp edges, two large, detached arms and a small piece of rock floating beneath it instead of legs. (1600 ATK)

'Clear Rage Golem attacks directly!' Slowly the massive creature came out of its crystal with incredible speed it rushed forward punching Jennifer with its enormous fist. 'When Clear Rage Golem attacks directly you take another three-hundred damage for each card in your hand.' Tai explained while he looked at the five cards his opponent had, the creature unleashed a flurry of punches on Jennifer, she staggered backwards a bit.

Tai crossed his arms as he declared the end of his turn.

Jennifer growled something through her teeth as she drew her card.

'I activate Monster Reborn!' She shouted, the holy symbol appeared on the field under it in a flash of light appeared Ljosalf. (1400 ATK)

'Now I summon Tyr!' She shouted the giant warrior leaped onto her field. (2000 ATK)

'Go!' Jennifer shouted, Tyr readied his sword then drove it through the crystal and the Golem. 'Ljosalf!' She then shouted, the blue creature fired a spell at Tai who shrugged it off easily.

(B: 5000) - (A: 8000) & (T: 7800- 7400- 6000) - (J: 4900)

'It's my turn.' Akai stated as she gracefully drew her card, a grin formed on her face, she took a quick glance at Tai who was Dueling nearby. 'I activate Blaze Accelerator Reload!' Her face-down card opened up. 'I discard a Volcanic card that allows me to draw one card from my Deck.' Quickly she discarded one and then added a new one to her hand. She then took another card from her hand and played it, it appeared face-down as a spell or trap card.

'Next I activate Soul of Fire.' She quickly played another card, this one appeared as a face-up spell. 'With Soul of Fire, I get to forfeit my battle phase then you get to draw a card after that I can banish one Pyro monster from my Deck you then take half the attack points of that monster as damage.' Blake angrily drew his card.

'I banish Volcanic Queen!' Above Akai appeared a creature made of flames it had the form of a legless dragon with two giant wings. (2500 ATK) The fiery beast launched itself at Blake striking him in his chest.

(B: 5000- 3750) - (A: 8000) & (T: 6000) - (J: 4900)

'Next.' Akai continued: 'I normal summon Volcanic Slicer.' A smaller creature appeared completely covered in plates of armor, it resembled some sort of dinosaur, it had large legs, small arms its head was completely covered in armor as well there were no visible eyes, flames dripped out of its gaping maw. (1800 ATK)

'By giving up Volcanic Slicer's battle I can inflict five-hundred damage to your life points, since I cannot attack at all this turn this ain't a setback.' Akai gleefully said, Blake braced himself as another fireball his him in the chest.

(B: 3750- 3250) - (A: 8000) & (T: 6000) - (J: 4900)

'Why do you insist on fighting? You can give up you know? It's not like we're allowed to kill you anyway.' Akai spoke Blake silently drew his card, Akai let out a sigh: 'I activate Battle Mania!' She shouted as her trap card opened up. 'Now your Tyr and Vanadis must do battle and their position cannot be changed.'

Blake cursed as he played a card it appeared as a face-down monster.

'Then Tyr attacks Volcanic Slicer!' The warrior leaped forward slicing the head clean off of the weird dinosaur-like creature.

(B: 3250) - (A: 8000- 7800) & (T: 6000) - (J: 4900)

'You destroyed my Fire monster that means backfire activates!' Akai shouted once more a fireball struck Blake in his chest.

'Now Vanadis! Direct attack!' Blake shouted the female warrior brought her scythe down hard on Akai who playfully shrugged it off.

'The monster I discarded with Blaze Accelerator Reload was Volcanic Counter, when I take damage I can banish it then if there is another Fire monster that is not Volcanic Counter in my Graveyard you take the same amount of damage I took.' 'I equip Vanadis with Nordic Relic Draupnir.' The black gauntlets with the green orbs engraved into them appeared around the arms of the warrior lady. (1200- 2000 ATK)

'I end my turn.' Blake stated.

'It's time to put an end to our little game.' Tai said as he drew his card.

'I activate Clear Sacrifice.' A spell card appeared on the field: 'I reveal the Clear Vice Dragon in my hand, a level eight monster, then I banish Clear Rage Golem and Clear Phantom from my Graveyard so I can normal summon Clear Vice Dragon without a sacrifice!'

Another crystal appeared, this one was larger than the others, it housed a demonic dragon within, clad completely in armor except for its wings, the beast stood on two legs, its arms ended in gauntlets with two large, curved blades on the front and another curved blade between the first two. (0 ATK)

'I equip Clear Vice Dragon with Attribute Bomb.' A colorless orb appeared above the head of the dragon. 'I declare Light.' Tai stated the orb started to pulsate with a yellow light. 'Now Clear Vice Dragon attacks Tyr!' The dragon stepped out of its crystal. 'Clear Vice Dragon's attack points become twice the attack points of the monster it battles, then because of Attribute Bomb another thousand points of damage is dealt when my monster battles a monster with the declared attribute!' Clear Vice Dragon roared. (0- 4000 ATK) It unleashed a blast of pure, black energy at Tyr the beam got reinforced by a beam of light coming from the glowing orb above the dragon, Jennifer put her arms in front of her face.

'I go to main phase two and because my dragon attacked it goes into defense mode now.' The dragon retreated back into its crystal. (0 DEF)

Tai quickly played two cards one appeared face-down the other was a field spell, the sky turned blue the sun was gone as were all the clouds, the ground became completely white, there was nothing in it, slowly several pointy crystals appeared in mid-air, Jennifer could feel the cold around her.

'Beautiful ain't it?' Tai asked: 'This is the world I seek, a cold void with nothing in it! No humans, no animals, no moon, no sun, just this endless white void!' He spread his arms as he started to laugh maniacally.

'This field spell is Clear World, each attribute on the field gives an effect to the player who controls it, while on the field my monsters have no natural attribute but my Clear Vice Dragon is now Light.' One of the crystals above both Duelists started to glow yellow.

'Light attribute means we play with our hands revealed.' Tai smiled since he had no cards in his hand, Jennifer had four: Solemn Authority, Nordic Relic Svalinn, Odin's Eye and Fenrir the Nordic Wolf.

'All cards that require an Aesir on the field, this is even more pathetic than I thought.' Tai laughed as he ended his turn.

Both Jennifer and Akai drew their cards at the same time, the card Jennifer got was Guldfaxe she quickly played the card, the majestic black horse with golden manes appeared on her side of the field. (1600 ATK)

Akai chuckled: 'I send Blaze Accelerator Reload to my graveyard, since it counts as Tri-Blaze Accelerator by sending it to the Graveyard I special summon Volcanic Doomfire!' A devil appeared out of a pit of fire, it was massive with red skin and black rock-like armor, it had large horns on its head and its long hair was made of fire, its claws were massive, lava dripped out of the devil's maw. (3000 ATK)

'Ljosalf attacks Clear Vice Dragon!' Jennifer commanded, the long, blue creature cast its magic, the crystal cracked and the dragon exploded.

'You take thousand damage from Attribute Bomb.' Tai calmly stated, the orb above the dragon fired one more shot before scattering.

'And you take damage because Guldfaxe attacks directly!' Jennifer replied, Tai simply smiled as the horse ran at him delivering a powerful kick to his stomach.

'This is my one attack.' Akai said: 'Volcanic Doomfire! Attack Tyr!' She shouted the devil grabbed the mighty warrior with its massive claw then it breath fire all over the warrior.

'Tai I shall end...' Jennifer started but Tai stopped her: 'I activate Attribute Chameleon.' His trap card opened up. 'I change the attribute of Guldfaxe to fire.' The crystal above the head of the horse changed from yellow to red.

'Now you can end your turn.' Tai said with a grin.

'When Volcanic Doomfire destroys a monster by battle, I can destroy as many monsters as you control then you take five-hundred damage for each destroyed.' She calmly explained.

Tai started to laugh: 'Thanks to Clear World when you control a fire monster during your end phase you take thousand points of damage!'

Jennifer closed her eyes as flames erupted around her all she heard was the cold laughter of Tai.

Blake watched as his face-down Guldfaxe and Vanadis exploded then Volcanic Doomfire breath fire all over Blake.

The holograms disappeared Akai and Tai payed no attention towards their opponents they walked away the moment the Duel had ended.

'And what an entrance The Old Order made, directly going after the two Duelists whose Decks were lacking the key components, they seem to be merciless, and with that the curtains officially closed for The Circle the first team to be defeated!' The announcer shouted.

Jack watched Akai and Tai leave. 'Tamamo wanted us to see their power.' He muttered.

'Then why not send them after us?' Leo wondered.

'Knowing Tamamo she's biding her time, she wants to take us out herself, this was just a display of power. She tries to get into your heads.' Jack replied while looking at Leo and Juliet. 'I already know her power, I can tell Tai and Akai each hold one of Tamamo's tails, they are stronger than Tamamo currently.'

The Docks.

As Ushiwaka quickly moved through the docks, the waterside was to his left so he was alert of his right side in case anyone tried to sneak up on him, the industrial area was behind him, the only two areas that were directly connected though the teams were placed pretty far apart from each other. Ushiwaka wanted to find Jack so he had gone solo he didn't know where Ichi and Ai went the two Japanese Duelists he brought along with him were no part of his actual Demon Hunter team. He, Ichi and Ai were just helping each other those two wanted to get into the tournament for their own reason and Ushiwaka was two men short. He knew Susanoo and Rao were together when he saw Tamamo entering the area he told them to get as much information as they could especially about the Half-Human Tai and the Half-Demon Akai, he felt a tingling sensation in his stomach as he thought of Akai. 'Stupid Half-Demons with their natural love spells, I should not fall for that should I meet her.'

Ushiwaka was so deep in thoughts that he didn't notice two people appearing from between two warehouses.

'Well what do we have here?' One of the two spoke, a man, Ushiwaka stopped. The man with short, brown hair was wearing a black trench-coat closed with way too many belts, he also wore combat boots, he had a black Duel Disk and D-Gazer both looked like standard models.

The woman had long, shoulder-length, blonde hair she was wearing the same attire as her male companion with less belts.

'We have ourselves a victim here Vinny.' The woman replied.

'Norman told us to clear the docks, he wants this area for his own, let me have this one Tyra.' The one named Vinny spoke.

'We discussed this, I would get the first Duelist we saw! You agreed!' Tyra replied clearly angry.

'Well yes I agreed, but this is Ushiwaka remember we looked him up in the two hours before the tournament started? My Deck can surely beat him.' Vinny replied.

'I really don't have time for this.' Ushiwaka sighted his two assailants looked up. 'Why don't you two come at me together?'

The two grinned. 'Good idea, we can pound you into the ground even quicker.' Vinny spoke.

'Sorry Ushiwaka, your tournament ends here, well I lie I'm not sorry at all!' Tyra laughed.

Ushiwaka stood on one end of a jetty near the water while Tyra and Vinny stood on land. 'Duel!' All three shouted.

(Vinny: 8000 & Tyra: 8000) - (Ushiwaka: 8000)

'Since this is a two versus one Duel according to the rules the two person team goes first, then I move after each of you to make up for my lack of a partner.' Ushiwaka said as they drew their opening hands, Tyra and Vinny looked at each other. 'I'll go first.' Vinny said with a grin quickly he played a card it appeared as a face-down monster. 'Turn end.' He then stated.

'My turn.' Ushiwaka stated as he drew his card. 'I summon Gearfried the Iron Knight!' The clanking sound of metal echoed throughout the docks, a mighty warrior came marching onto the jetty he was fully clad in heavy, blocky armor with large shoulder pads. (1800 ATK)

'Since I cannot attack I shall end my turn here.' Ushiwaka stated.

Then Tyra took a card from her hand she played and another face-down monster appeared. 'Turn end.' She simply stated.

This time Ushiwaka drew a card. 'Time to get started.' He said as he took two cards from his hand. 'I summon Marauding Captain.' Ushiwaka stated, a gruff-looking man appeared he had short sandy-colored hair, a scar run across his left eye, he wore a medieval suit of armor with a heavy cape attached to the shoulders, in each hand he held a sword. (1200 ATK)

'When Marauding Captain is normal summoned I special summon Command Knight.' This time a female warrior came marching on the field, she wore a full suit of red armor, the top of her head was covered by a helmet, she had long, yellow hair her hand rested on the knob of her sword. 'Command Knight increases the attack points of all warriors with four-hundred.' Ushiwaka stated. (Command Knight: 1200- 1600 ATK, Marauding Captain: 1200- 1600 ATK, Gearfried: 1800- 2200 ATK)

'Look at this Tyra, this guy's Deck is ancient.' Vinny said with a snicker.

'Let's make this quick and send him back to the stone age.' Tyra added laughing.

'I attack the face-down monster with Command Knight!' Ushiwaka commanded pointing at Vinny's monster, the reversed card disappeared in its place appeared a small skeleton holding a scythe and wearing a purple cloak. (200 DEF) Command Knight struck the monster with her sword but the creature shrugged it off.

'Spirit Reaper? It cannot be destroyed by battle.' Ushiwaka muttered: 'Then you say my monsters are ancient.' He added.

'In that case Marauding Captain attacks the other monster.' This time a huge, ugly blob appeared it had tiny hairs all over, when Marauding Captain struck it down it exploded in a gross goo that completely covered Ushiwaka. 'Giant Germ.' Tyra said with a smile: 'You take five-hundred points of damage and I get to special summon up to two more.' Another one of the disgusting blobs appeared on Tyra's side.

(Vinny: 8000 & Tyra: 8000) - (Ushiwaka: 8000- 7500)

'Gearfried!' Ushiwaka shouted the black knight charged in and cut the second Giant Germ in half, again the goo covered Ushiwaka.

(Vinny: 8000 & Tyra: 8000- 6800) - (Ushiwaka: 7500- 7000)

'Turn end.' Ushiwaka stated.

Vinny smiled as he drew his card. 'I release my Spirit Reaper! Advance summon Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6!' A large bird-like creature appeared, it resembled an eagle, it stood on two large legs having its wings ready for takeoff, the creature was clad in mechanical armor. (2300 ATK)

'Horus attacks Marauding Captain!' Vinny's beast took off with incredible speed it swooped down grabbing Marauding Captain crushing him in its massive claws.

(Vinny: 8000 & Tyra: 6800) - (Ushiwaka: 7000- 6300)

'I end my turn and that means Horus evolves into Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8!' The mechanical monstrosity started to grow its body became larger, the wings moved more towards his back as it grew two arms its legs became even larger it also gained a large tail, the head became more dragon-like, the beast aimed its head to the sky a black beam fired out of its maw. (3000 ATK)

'Like I said Ushiwaka we searched up every opponent who started closest to us, I knew that my Deck would defeat you if I would find you, funny thing we actually did. Of all the opponents here and you had to run into the only one who could deal...' Ushiwaka stopped him: 'Stop talking and continue the Duel.' He snapped.

'Fine if you want to get kicked out that fast I shall end my turn here.' Vinny replied with a grin.

Ushiwaka silently drew his card, he changed the position of his monsters, Gearfried crouched down and crossed his arms, Command Knight put her sword away she kept her hand on the knob as she stayed alert. (Gearfried: 1600 DEF, Command Knight: 1900 DEF)

'I end my turn.' He stated.

Tyra drew her card. 'I activate Foolish Burial.' She stated her spell card flashed onto the field. 'I send my last Giant Germ from my Deck to my Graveyard.' Quickly she searched out the card before discarding it.

'Now that I have three Dark monsters in my Graveyard I special summon Dark Armed Dragon!' Another mechanical monstrosity appeared made out of black steel the beast stood on two legs, it had several blades on its back and shoulders, its large arms ended in sharp claws at the tip of its large tail it had several small drills. (2800 ATK)

'Now I banish two of my Giant Germs so I can destroy your two monsters!' Tyra shouted she retrieved both cards, Dark Armed Dragon took a leap forward landing before Ushiwaka piercing his Command Knight with its gigantic claw Gearfried got pierced by the tail. 'Direct attack!' Tyra shouted Ushiwaka braced himself as the metal claw from the beast slashed across his chest.

(Vinny: 8000 & Tyra: 6800) - (Ushiwaka: 6300- 3500)

Ushiwaka chuckled as the Dark Armed Dragon returned.

'So you finally lost it?' Vinny spoke.

'No.' Ushiwaka replied grinning: 'I can tell you two are ordinary bullies, following someone strong because you're afraid people pick on you, thing is I'm not intimidated.' He drew his card.

Vinny and Tyra gave each other a quick glance.

'You guys are just another two bullies I have to put down, I honestly lost count how many came before you, thing is I enjoy crushing bullies like you. You think you had control from the start of this Duel? You never stood a chance to begin with.'

'I summon Armed Samurai - Ben Kei!' A man wearing a black tunic appeared under it he wore white pants, his head was mostly hidden by a white hood, on his back he carried a large basket there were countless, different weapons stored in it. (500 ATK)

'I equip Ben Kei with Fusion Sword Murasame Blade!' Ushiwaka's spell card started to appear.

'No I think you just lost it.' Vinny said: 'Horus destroys your spell card!' He roared, the mechanical monstrosity unleashed its black beam the spell card exploded.

'Like I said you stood no chance from the beginning.' Ushiwaka said as he retrieved his spell card from the Graveyard. 'I knew you would destroy the spell card. Had you let me keep it I would have lost, but now I banish the equip card in order to special summon Immortal Phoenix Gearfried!'

A huge fire erupted on the middle of the jetty a mighty warrior stepped out clad in white armor with a black skin-tight suit under it, two massive, curved swords were attached to his gauntlets, his hair was made of flames, even more flames erupted behind him. (3000 ATK)

'Immortal Phoenix Gearfried attacks Dark Armed Dragon!' The warrior took a leap landing in front of the dragon his blades ready to cut off the head. 'During the damage step when Immortal Phoenix Gearfried attacks I can equip one monster on the field to him as an equip card, increasing his attack points by five-hundred.' Vinny gasped as his monsters suddenly erupted in flames it was absorbed by the rest of the fire. (3000- 3500 ATK)

Then Gearfried quickly sliced the head off of Dark Armed Dragon.

'Ben Kei!' Ushiwaka then roared, the warrior dashed at Vinny, he grabbed a spear from his basket and plunged it into Vinny's chest.

(Vinny: 8000- 7500 & Tyra: 6800- 6100) - (Ushiwaka: 3500)

'Now that Horus is gone I equip Ben Kei with two Mage Powers!' As Ushiwaka played the spell cards a white aura appeared around Ben Kei. (500- 3500 ATK) 'Ben Kei gained five-hundred attack points for both Mage Powers and the monster that is now an equip spell, that is fifteen-hundred attack points per Mage Power.'

Vinny cursed something, Tyra was nervously looking around her.

'I end my turn.' Ushiwaka then stated.

'I'm not about to give up! I'm gonna destroy you!' Vinny cackled as he quickly played three spell cards three Tremendous Fire cards appeared.

'I deal thousand damage to you and five-hundred to myself per card!' He laughed flames erupted all around the arena, setting the jetty on fire.

(Vinny: 7500- 6000 & Tyra: 6100) - (Ushiwaka: 3500- 500)

'Now I set this and end my turn.' Vinny stated as a face-down monster appeared on his field.

'I equip Ben Kei with United We Stand.' Ushiwaka stated as he drew his card, he quickly played the spell card. 'This increases Ben Kei's attack by eight-hundred for each monster I control, plus another five-hundred per Mage Power.' The white aura surrounding Ben Kei became even larger he let out a war cry as his power shot through the roof. (3500- 6100 ATK)

'Gearfried attack the face-down monster!' The fiery knight charged in, the card got replaced by a marshmallow with a cure face on it. (500 DEF)

'You fell for it!' Vinny cackled: 'You attacked Marshmallon I deal thousand damage to your life points! We win!' He laughed.

'I send the monster equipped to Gearfried to the Graveyard to negate your monster effect and destroy it.' Ushiwaka calmly explained, the card disappeared Ushiwaka's monster became a little weaker. (Gearfried: 3500- 3000 ATK, Ben Kei: 6100- 5100 ATK)

'Now Ben Kei!' Ushiwaka roared, the warrior grabbed a sword from his basket then he charged in. 'Ben Kei gains one extra attack for each card equipped to him!' The warrior slashed across Vinny's chest with the sword, he quickly threw it away grabbing another spear he first poked Vinny with it then turned around throwing the spear at Tyra's chest then he took an axe from his basket he ran up to Tyra striking her on her neck.

'Out of my way, I'm in a hurry.' Ushiwaka growled as he walked past his opponents.

Next time:

Errol is bored and orders his team to attack random Duelists, while Errol is killing his boredom in the hopes to attract Jack's attention.

Meanwhile The Blades have a run-in with two members from the American team, they mistake Jack's team for some low-level Duelists, it is Violet who wants to punish that mistake.
