Team sixteen under the leadership of Tamamo no Mae made their first move, as a display for Jack two of Tamamo's Duelists Akai and Tai took down Blake and Jennifer. Juliet took out Dryas and Silke with the help of Kailyn causing The Circle to be eliminated from the tournament, now Jack's enemy Errol is about to make his move.
14. The Necromancer's Offense.
The park.
The impossibly tall Errol stood on a field of grass there were trees all around him, this part of the park was normally reserved for people with dogs so that their four-legged friend could run about freely, Errol choose this location because it was on the edge of the park furthest away from the entrance, his four team members stood around him.
'I want Jack.' The necromancer sounded calm: 'Going after him now however is stupid and surely would cause me to lose.' He folded his arms.
'What is your plan boss?' A woman asked.
'I wait Astrid, I'll let him come to me, but we need his attention, so I send you out in different directions, take down some Duelists enjoy yourselves, the less Duelists in here the better I'm going to draw Jack's attention.'
The four people made a bow towards their boss before they ran off.
The city.
The Blades had gathered in one of the back alleys.
'So what's the plan Jack? We just witnessed what two of Tamamo's team can do, we know Ren is here and what he is capable of.' Violet softly spoke as not to alert any Duelists of their presence.
Jack took the tablet they got from the tournament staff out of his pocket, each team leader had one, the tablet showed where Duelists went, they could also use the tablet to view statistics of played Duels.
'By the looks of it The New Government is moving towards the city arena, I think they plan to stay here, Tamamo's team is on the other side of the city.' Jack spoke quickly he looked up some statistics: 'Ushiwaka is on his way here, looks like he took two members of the Mythic Dawn out at the docks, his eye then fell on Errol's team.
'Looks like The Blood Hand is making a move, their team has left the park which was their starting area, they are spread between the industrial area, the docks and the carnival.'
Jack then searched for the park area. 'The other two teams who started in the park were Team Rising Sun and The Star-Spangled Duelists, the Japanese team are sticking together in one of the far edges of the park, two members from team America are moving towards the city the other three appear to be hunting the Japanese team.' He put the tablet away.
'So what's the plan Jack?' Leo asked.
'We go to the park we wait for Ushiwaka there, let Japan and America Duel it out in the worst case we need to deal with whoever survives, it's better than staying here where Tamamo is and we need to keep moving in case Errol tries anything.' Jack quickly explained their plans.
The Blades were moving quickly from cover to cover, even though the tablets showed where the people were it was the general vicinity and not an exact location, so even though they knew two from America's team were heading towards the city they had to stay alert.
Suddenly Jack stopped he quickly couched down behind a low wall, he quickly pointed out two people.
A young man and a young woman, the man had cropped, brown hair he wore a blue winter coat and jeans, the woman wore a red beanie on one side long, brown hair stuck out, she wore a white, long, woolen coat and red pants under it, both wore a large pin of the American flag on their coat.
'Aren't you guys too old to play hide and seek?' The young man asked he had a nasal voice, Jack knew he was seen slowly they stepped onto the street. 'Well, well The Blades.' The woman spoke she sounded annoyed: 'Bummer had hoped to run into Germany or France.'
'Chloe they say these Blades took out the Earthbound Gods, that marketing stunt from a few months back.' The man replied.
'Yeah I remember Henry, they hyped up this team for some reason, the only reason they're here is because of these Signer Dragons, why they gave these cards to a bunch of nobodies, I still find that baffling.' Chloe replied.
'Then again.' Henry added: 'If the Dark Signer threat was real they would have called for actual top Duelists to deal with it wouldn't you think?'
Violet's eye twitched Jack noticed but he said nothing.
'They gave these children their time in the spotlights, now they joined an adult tournament.' Chloe stated as she activated her Duel Disk and D-Gazer: 'We'll show them how adults Duel, should feel honored getting taken out by the best team in the...' Violet violently stopped her.
'Enough Chloe!' She shouted.
Chloe laughed: 'So you're the opponent, fine Henry and I Duel together so feel free to ask one of your little friends to join.'
Violet shook her head: 'No I'll deal with you myself.'
Derelict Carnival.
Two members from Errol's team had made their way to the carnival, the site where Richard and Jack had their confrontations with Sara, Nuraree an Argonian woman who wore thick winter clothes also wore a cloak to hide her identity for people who could see her for what she was, her opponent was a member from the French team, he had long, blonde hair and was wearing thick, white pants and a blue winter coat with the French flag depicted on the back, the Duel was nearing its conclusion.

Though Nuraree seemed to have the upper hand she was in a bit of a problem, she had only two cards in her hand she had five gross, Ojama on her field, the fat Ojama Black, Ojama Green with the one vertical eye and the long tongue, and the slim Ojama Yellow with the eyes on stilts, next to those three she had the fiendish-looking Ojama with the round head Ojama Red and the rectangle-headed Ojama Blue. (0 DEF x5)
These were all Ojama Tokens, her opponent had activate Ojama Duo and Ojama Trio after clearing her field with Dark Hole.
The area they found themselves in was a tiny village with houses mostly made out of acorns, this of course Ojama Country which swapped the attack and defense points of all monsters, Clément had just Fusion summoned Ojama King. (0- 3000 ATK)
The only way of defending herself that Nuraree had was one face-down card.
Clément took one of his remaining three cards from his hand.
'I activate Ojamuscle!' A spell card flashed onto the field.
'When I control Ojama King I destroy all Ojama monsters on the field, then Ojama King gains thousand attack points for each destroyed!'
The big, white Ojama opened its disturbingly large mouth with human-looking teeth, the Tokens were sucked in one at a time, after the King had eaten them all he let out a large burp. (3000- 8000 ATK)
'Now you take three-hundred points of damage for each of the Tokens that were destroyed.' Clément spoke, there were multiple explosions around Nuraree.

'Now Ojama King! Direct attack!' The creature inhaled some air inflating itself it slowly hovered over to Nuraree dropping itself when it was right above her. 'I activate Half Unbreak!' Nuraree shouted her trap card opened up. 'Your monster cannot be destroyed by battle this turn but I take half damage from attacks involving that monster.' As the Ojama King dropped down it shrunk to half its size. (8000- 4000 ATK)

'It seems you got lucky.' Clément said as his Ojama King floated back to his side its attack points increased to eight-thousand again.
'I shall end my turn now.' He spoke.
Nuraree drew her card. 'I was never in trouble here, you've been helping me I just needed my field clear of those pesky Ojama, I figured you would use Ojama King to do that for me.' The Argonian slipped a card in her Duel Disk a spell card appeared. 'Snake Rain! I discard Armored Lizard in order to send four more Reptiles from my Deck to my Graveyard.' She casually retrieved more card which she discarded without looking.
She crossed her arms as behind her appeared a massive beast, a large snake with a snake-like head for a stomach, eight heads quickly moved to all sides surrounding Clément seven heads looked the exact same they were regular snake heads with some armor covering the top, the middle head clearly the main head had armor plating on its back and a nasty thunderbolt-shaped spike on top. (? ATK)
'Evil Dragon Ananta?' Clément gasped.
'As you undoubtedly know Evil Dragon Ananta gains six-hundred attack points per Reptile I just banished.' The souls of fifteen monsters appeared around Ananta one-by-one the souls got devoured by the head in the stomach. (?- 9000 ATK)
'Evil Dragon Ananta attack Ojama King!' The main head lashed out it dug the thunderbolt-shaped spike deep in the body of Ojama King, the ugly beast gasped before it exploded like a balloon.

In the forest where the haunted house once stood near the place where Richard had killed the Doppelganger a Duel was taking place, one Duelist was a Dark Elf belonging to Errol's team, dressed in black winter clothes his head was mostly covered by a beanie and a scarf, his opponent was the French woman Emilie, she was wearing a coat made of wool with a warm hood with fur covering most of her head, she had a French flag depicted on his arms.

It was Emilie's turn she controlled three small robots, their bodies were a red battery with arms, legs and a head attached to it, it's limbs were orange and beige. (0- 3000 ATK x3)
'I just destroyed the only defense you had, now Batteryman AA two and three direct attack!' She shouted Narnis crossed his arms in front of his face as the two small monsters fired electricity at him.
(Emilie: 4800) - (Narnis: 6600- 3600- 600)
'I end my turn.' Emilie said with a smile.
'I'm not backing down.' Narnis growled as he drew his card.
'I activate Worm Call.' He stated a spell card flashed onto his side of the field. 'When you control a monster and I don't I can special summon a Worm monster face-down.' Derkith stated as he quickly played another card it appeared as a set monster. 'I end my turn.'
'Giving up are we?' Emilie asked as she drew her card.
'Batteryman AA attack!' The face-down card disappeared in its place appeared a hulking beast with gross blood-red skin the beast had six massive arms and two even massive legs. (2500 DEF)
'This is Worm Victory and when flipped all non Worm Reptiles are destroyed.' The Dark Elf simply explained electricity appeared around each of the Batteryman then they exploded.
'I activate Monster Reborn.' Emilie quickly reacted in a flash of light one of her Batteryman AA appeared. (0- 1000 ATK)
'I release Batteryman AA, advance summon Super-Electromagnetic Voltech Dragon!' The small Batteryman got lifted into the air, a creature started to form around it, a massive mechanical, dinosaur-like creature made of steel, the Batteryman was stuck inside the body as a power source. 'Since I used Batteryman AA as a tribute my Voltech Dragon gains thousand attack points extra. (2400- 3400 ATK)
'You have already lost!' Narnis shouted as he drew his card.
'I activate Polymerization!' As he played the spell card a black vortex opened behind him. 'I fuse from my hand Worm Noble, Worm Prince, Worm Solid and Worm Warlord!' The sky grew dark as a gigantic orb descended from the sky, it was pulsating with an unholy, white light. 'Meet Worm Zero! For each Worm with a different name used in its summon it gains five-hundred attack points!' (0- 2000 ATK)
'And since four monsters were used I can banish one Worm from my Graveyard in order to destroy one monster on the field.' Narnis explained he retrieved the Worm Warlord, without warning a beam of light shot from the center of the giant orb obliterating the Voltech Dragon.
'Now I switch Worm Victory to attack mode, it gains five-hundred attack points for each Worm in my Graveyard.' The massive, red-skinned beast slowly stood up flexing all its arms. (0- 3000 ATK)
'Finish it!' The Dark Elf roared, the Worm Victory leaped at Emilie white the orb in the sky fired another beam of light.

Industrial District.
On the streets between the factories four people were Dueling, one of them was d Dark Elf, he wore a long coat, on his head he wore a warm hat and a scarf wrapped around the lower half of his face.
His partner was a human with brownish, shoulder-length hair, she wore a leather jacket and black pants. The Dark Elf was Derkith one of Errol's team his partner was Astrid, their opponents were two members of The Dueling Dutchmen clearly the two were identical twins wearing the same green coats and blue jeans, their blond hair was short, both wore pins of the Dutch flag on their sleeves.

The Duelists found themselves in the beautiful underwater city that was A Legendary Ocean it was played by Julian he currently had no other cards on the field, Lucas on the other hand had a field full of cards, two creatures he controlled were Embodiment of Apophis, a cross between a human and a snake, they were black and purple and wore some golden adornments, the most disturbing was their long neck coming out of their back that ended a snake head, the creature still had a humanoid head between its shoulders, in its hands it held a curved sword and a shield. (1600 ATK x2)
The other three monsters he controlled were Zoma the Spirit, a small, black dragon with huge, sharp claws and red, glowing eyes. (1800 ATK x3) With all his monsters being special trap monsters at this point all his spell and trap zones as well as his monster zones were occupied.
The only monster Derkith controlled was La Jinn the Mystical Genie on the Lamp, a muscular, green-skinned, stereotypical genie with a long, thin mustache. (1800 ATK)
It was in the middle of Lucas' turn and he had just used one Embodiment of Apophis and two Zoma the Spirit to take out Astrid's defenses.
'Zoma the Spirit! Direct attack!' Julian shouted.
'I use La Jinn to intercept your attack.' Derkith spoke with a heavy voice, he spoke slowly his genie quickly moved over catching the small dragon with his mighty arms, after a small struggle both monsters exploded.
'You destroyed my Zoma which means you take damage equal to the attack points of the monster that destroyed him.' The Dutch Duelist explained, a spirit version of Zoma appeared firing a ball of flames at the Dark Elf before disappearing again.

'No more monsters and my second Embodiment of Apophis can still attack!' One of the snake-men slithered over to Astrid who simply used her Duel Disk to block the sword.
(Julian: 1800 & Lucas: 3000) - (Derkith: 1700 & Astrid: 4800- 3200)
'I end my turn.' Lucas stated.
'My turn.' Derkith stated as quickly he drew his card, he looked over the three cards in his hand before placing one in his Duel Disk, it appeared as a face-down spell or trap card.
'That is all from me.' He simply said ending his turn.
Julian drew his card. 'At least I can finish one of them off brother.' He stated as he took a card from his hand then played it, out of the water leaped a huge fish on its back rode a young man with black spiky hair he wore blue trunks and a red headband in his hands he held a crossbow. (2200- 2400 ATK) 'The Legendary Fisherman II direct attack!' The man riding the fish aimed his crossbow at Derkith then he fired.
'Call of the Haunted!' Derkith shouted out of the water rose La Jinn. (1800 ATK) The crossbow arrow pierced the chest of the genie it disappeared in a cloud of green smoke.
(Julian: 1800 & Lucas: 3000) - (Derkith: 1700- 1100 & Astrid: 3200)
'Next I set these and end my turn.' Julian stated as two face-down cards appeared behind his monsters.
'Derkith.' Astrid coldly spoke as she drew her card: 'If you want to stay in Lord Errol's good graces you need to start being more careful, you nearly lost there.' She then looked at her own hand.
'Since there are face-up traps on the field I special summon Jinzo the Machine Menace!' The image of one of the more famous Duel Monsters started to appear on the field, a machine dressed in green and yellow robes with a spiked belt around the waist, the head was the most striking red and covered in thick veins, the mouth, nose and eyes were hidden behind a metal mask, huge lasers shot out of the eyes, it was clear to the others that this wasn't the real Jinzo. (2400 ATK)
'Now I tribute Jinzo the Machine Menace for the real Jinzo!' As the fake Jinzo faded from view the real Jinzo materialized before Astrid. (2400 ATK)
'Since I used this effect I destroy all traps on the field, face-down cards are revealed and destroyed if they are traps.'
Julian gasped as his face-down Mirror Force and Tornado Wall were revealed before they exploded then one after the other Lucas' remaining trap monsters exploded.
'Jinzo attacks directly!' Astrid commanded the android created an orb of negative energy between his hands then he unleashed it, the orb exploded in Lucas' face.
'Now my quick-play spell Psychic Wave!' A card slipped from Astrid's Deck. 'I discard a Jinzo from my Deck in order to deal six-hundred points of damage.' The android fired another, smaller orb at Lucas which exploded at his feet.
(Julian: 1800 & Lucas: 3000- 600- 0) - (Derkith: 1100 & Astrid: 3200)
'I end my turn and since your partner was the next in line it is now my partner's turn.' Astrid stated as Derkith drew his card.
'I summon Hayabusa Knight.' A mighty warrior clad in silver armor with golden decals appeared, he wore a green cape around his shoulders his head was that of an eagle his arms and legs ended in bird-like talons. (1000 ATK) The warrior held his sword trained at the neck of Julian.
'I activate Secret Pass to the Treasure which allows a monster with thousand or less attack points to attack directly this turn.' He explained then he showed a devious grin. 'Hayabusa Knight can attack twice per battle phase!' He then roared the warrior took a leap bringing his sword down on Julian's shoulder, then he dashed to the left behind Julian and stabbed him in the back.

Derkith and Astrid were laughing as they left their opponents from the Netherlands in the dirt.
The docks.
Otto one Duelist for The Brotherhood Fist, a bald man far in his forties, he was dressed like a biker with combat boots, a leather jacket, biker pants and a bandanna, his lower face was covered by a mighty, graying beard, he wore a German flag pin on his jacket.
The rough-looking man looked at the giant of a man in front of him, the giant was bulky to say the least his entire body was covered by the robes he wore. 'Otto?' The giant asked.
'And you are?' The man replied not confirming his name.
'Your next opponent.' The giant simply spoke he revealed his left arm which was robotic, a hatch opened up in the side of the prosthesis and the blade of a Duel Disk came out of it. 'I'm here for only one Duelist.' The giant calmly spoke: 'I'm a bit rusty, so allow me to get rid of the rust by beating you.' The Duel Disk turned on, Otto quickly activated his, he cursed under his breath he could have used some of his team members here. 'And to answer your question from earlier, the name's Errol.'

Errol looked over his hand he took three cards from it. 'First I summon Double Coston.' Two black, ghost-like creatures appeared on the field they were connected to each other. (1700 ATK)
'I shall equip my Double Coston with Misty Body, so that it cannot be destroyed by battle.' Errol explained a thin layer of mist appeared around the creature. Then Errol quickly played the third card he had chosen which appeared face-down behind his monster.
'I'm making this quick.' Otto said as he drew his card: 'Forget about your rust Errol you won't get the chance to shake it off!' He took one card from his hand. 'I activate Power Bond!' Otto shouted the spell card appeared on the field. 'I fuse two Cyber Dragons in my hand!' The German roared electricity struck behind him out of the smoke appeared a mechanical, snake-like dragon it had two ferocious heads electricity surrounded the body. 'The attack points of the monster summoned with Power Bond are doubled.' Otto spoke. (2800- 5200 ATK)
'Mist Body makes no difference, your monster is in attack position and Cyber Twin Dragon can attack twice!' The beast roared each head fired a ball of electricity, Errol simply laughed as his life points plummeted.
(Errol: 8000- 4100- 200) - (Otto: 8000)
'I end my turn which means I take damage equal to the original attack points of my Cyber Twin Dragon.' Otto closed his eyes lightning struck him once.
(Errol: 200) - (Otto: 8000- 5200)
Errol said nothing as he drew his card. 'I activate Savage Colosseum.' An old arena rose in the midst of the factories and warehouses, a place where the Romans held many of their games a purple fog appeared everywhere.
'With this monsters must attack when able, when a monster attacks its controller gains three-hundred life points, during the end phase any monster that did not battle is destroyed.' Errol explained his field spell.
'Now I release Double Coston! Which counts as two tributes for a Dark monster!' Black smoke erupted around the two, small creatures the first thing that peered out from the smoke was a yellow, vertical eye with a red pupil, when the smoke cleared the rest of the demonic creature was visible,
her hair was wild the right half was white the left blue, her right eye was red, the left eye was blue, the demon had a reddish skin, the body was mostly black with a white left chest and stomach, most of the left leg was black as well, it had two large, black, dragon-like wings on her back, the most remarkable of this demon was that the right half of the body was feminine, the left half was more masculine. (0 ATK)
'T-that's!' Otto stammered as he had recognized this monster from some detailed drawings. 'Meet Yubel.' Errol said with a smile, he had gone through great lengths to obtain this card, the soul of the monster wasn't in this card the real Yubel was still fused with the soul of Judai Yuki even in death the two remained together and Judai's soul was protected by Yubel, without Judai Errol couldn't get Yubel so he settled for just the image of the demon, but he had found a way to pour his own magic into the card to make it real, this was now his secret weapon against Jack and the Necromancer hoped that Jack would see this battle.
'Yubel must battle, but I take no damage from battles involving her.' Errol stated the demon fired a blast of dark magic at Cyber Twin Dragon, it bounced off without doing any damage.
(Errol: 200- 500) - (Otto: 5200)
Quickly Errol played two card they appeared next to his other set card.
'I activate Dimension Guardian!' Errol shouted as his first set card opened up. 'I target Yubel with this card, this card protects Yubel from destruction by battle or card effect.' He then signaled the end of his turn.
'Normally I need to destroy one monster to keep Yubel but that effect as well as the effect of Savage Colosseum cannot destroy her.'
Otto's hand was slightly trembling, there wasn't a lot of information about Yubel, her most prominent effect was well known though, if he attacked Yubel he would take all battle damage.
'I activate Final Attack Orders.' Errol suddenly interrupted his train of thoughts, the trap card opened up. 'Now all monsters need to be in attack position, which means that due to Savage Colosseum they must do battle.' Errol gloated.
'I set this card.' Otto stated a face-down card appeared behind his monsters.
'I've got you now Errol, you cannot change Yubel to defense mode to protect her, next turn you are forced to attack me then I use the Dimension Prison I just set to banish that Yubel of yours.'
Otto looked at his monster. 'My Cyber Twin Dragon must do battle, that would take out my life points.' He muttered he then took a card from his hand. 'I activate De-Fusion in order to change my Cyber Twin Dragon into two Cyber Dragons!'
When Otto played his card Errol stopped him. 'I activate Dark Bribe!' The necromancer replied. 'I negate the effect of De-Fusion and destroy it, but you get to draw a card.'
Otto cursed under his breath he drew his card, when he saw it was a Monster Reborn he knew he had lost. 'Cyber Twin Dragon battle.' He stated.
A blast of electricity came out of one of the mouths of the two-headed beast, vines filled with thorns appeared around Yubel. 'Nightmare Pain!' Errol roared as the electricity was fired back at Otto he fell on his back from the force of the attack.

Industrial district.
Serana and Rini found themselves in one of the abandoned factories in the industrial district, they were tailing some of the German Duelists but they had lost them in the maze-like area. The moment the start sign was given the two left Drake's team, of course this was as planned since Drake needed two people for his team and Serana wanted to go solo, she took Rini with her as was Violet's request and frankly she had taken a liking to Rini. 'Looks like we lost them.' Serana sighted she was exited to Duel she could tell Rini was as well.
'Can't you use any vampire superpowers to find them?' Rini cheerfully asked, Serana smiled she wishes Violet was here now Rini was the most lively she had been since Serana had met her. 'They're not superpowers Rini, I'm not some sort of superhero.' She replied with a smile.
'I guess I could sense the beating of their heart, the blood rushing through their veins, but there are simply too many excited people here, if let's say half of the Duelists were gone I could find them.' Serana explained.
'It's too bad we don't have that tablet Drake got.' Rini sounded a bit disappointed.
'I do have my own tablet here.' Serana remembered she took it out of her pocket. 'We were allowed to bring it in to get an idea of what we are facing, we can only see the things the public sees though, at least we can get an idea of what's going on.' Serana searched through the Duelists.
'Oh look at this Rini, Violet has just started a Duel, we can see it.'

'I shall take the first turn.' Chloe stated as she drew her opening hand.
'I summon Power Annihilator!' She shouted, the screech of a monster sounded through the street from out of the shadows leaped a monster Violet had never seen before it was a thin, demonic creature it had small arms and legs ending in long nails, a small dragon-like head on a long neck, it had two nasty horns on its head and even nastier tusks and a long tail with a nasty blade at the tip, its body was covered in thick, black, bone-like armor. (1800 ATK)
'Next I set this and end my turn.' Chloe stated as a reversed card appeared behind her monster.
'Violet be careful!' Jack shouted: 'That monster, its not supposed to be here. During the era Judai Yuki was active at one point he and his friends got transported to a dimension where Duel Monsters were real, the monster you see before you was used by one of those Duel Monsters, it should be native to that realm and is not supposed to be a real card in this realm.' Violet took a quick scan with her D-Gazer. 'Jack you happen to know what this thing does? My D-Gazer can't scan it!'
Jack shook his head: 'Afraid not, Judai had first-hand experience with these creatures, sadly he left nothing behind, all we know about these events is what the people who went with him left behind.'
'Ready to give up?' Chloe sneered.
'No I will beat your cheap strategy, attacking with a monster that is legal but not in the Duel Monster database, how did you even get your hands on this?' Chloe replied by laughing. 'Anthony as the world champ has a lot of money and a lot of influence.' She simply replied.
'Figures, but a Deck bought with the intent to dominate doesn't have the Duelists soul in it.' Violet said quickly she played a card, a humanoid, carrot monster appeared, the entire thing was made of carrot with its head being a literal carrot with eyes, it wore a blue tunic and golden champion belt. (1900 ATK)
'A World Carrotweight Champion?' Chloe gasped as if she was shocked. 'Lucky me you can't attack this turn.' She added with a grin.
'I end my turn.' Violet stated.
Henry looked over his hand. 'Chloe you can stop pretending, I shall end this on my next turn.' He said as he took two cards from his hand. 'I set these two.' The man stated two cards appeared face-down as spell or trap cards. 'I end my turn.'
Violet drew her card. 'World Carrotweight Champion attack Henry directly!' The carrot-man prepared to charge in.
'I activate Threatening Roar!' Henry shouted, his trap opened the roar of a ferocious beast echoed through the streets, the carrot-man drew back in fear. 'I end my turn.' Violet said.
Chloe drew her card. 'You mind I set something up Henry? For some reason I don't believe you.'
Henry gave his partner a dirty look. 'I activate my field spell: Power Zone!'
A multicolored bubble suddenly appeared around all three Duelists, purple sparks of electricity surrounded the outside of the barrier.
'Power Annihilator attacks World Carrotweight Champion!' Chloe said.
'My monster is stronger!' Violet gasped.
'When Power Annihilator battles a monster with more attack points it gains thousand attack points during damage calculation!' Chloe laughed the small fiendish creature let out a war-cry. (1800- 2800 ATK) It used the blade on the edge of its tail to slice the carrot-man in half.
'Now Power Zone activates, whenever a monster is destroyed by battle the controller of that monster takes damage equal to original attack points of that monster!'
Violet let out a scream when purple lightning struck her in her chest.
(Chloe: 8000 & Henry: 8000) - (Violet: 8000- 7100- 5200)
'Now Blade I activate my trap!' Chloe continued. 'Explosion Fuse, when my monster destroyed a monster by battle I can special summon a Power Bombard from my Deck!' Another creature appeared it was a demonic-looking wasp-like creature its exoskeleton was black, it had small horn covering its abdomen for the rest it had bat-like wings, a nasty stinger and mandibles. (1000 ATK)
'Now I set this and end my turn.' Chloe stated as a face-down card appeared behind her Power Bombard.
Violet drew her card, she was focused on Henry he seemed so sure he would finish her off during his turn. 'I activate The World Tree!'
A large, lush tree grew behind Violet its branches were filled with fresh, green leaves.
'Now I normal summon Revival Rose!' A small plant grew in front of Violet, it was a rose with three buds it had an eye in the center of each bud. (1300 ATK)
'First I need to deal with that Power Annihilator.' Violet thought she took two cards from her hand and quickly played them they both appeared face-down. 'These two cards are to deal with whatever Henry is planning.'
'Revival Rose attack Power Annihilator!' Violet shouted.
'What, how did you...' Chloe protested.
'A hunch I had.' Violet replied Power Annihilator got weaker as Revival Rose fired a barrage of thorns at the fiend. (1800- 800 ATK)
With a scream the beast exploded.
'And now you take damage from your own field spell!' Violet said.
'As do you.' Chloe replied with a smile: 'When the attack points of Power Annihilator change I destroy Power Bombard to deal eighteen-hundred points of damage!' The demonic wasp took flight then crashed into Violet.
(Chloe: 8000- 7500- 5700 & Henry: 8000) - (Violet: 5200- 3400)
Chloe's eye was twitching, she still smiled but Violet knew that was just for her image. 'Henry.' She hissed: 'I'm annoyed, would you kindly finish her now?'
Henry drew his card: 'I gladly shall.' He replied.
'I summon Dark Scorpion Burglars.' He stated a group of four men and a woman appeared, they all wore the same brown, leather chest armor and red pants, one man was large, muscular and bald, another was quite young with striking yellow, spiky hair, the third had brown hair and had several burglar tools on him, the woman was calm with short, brown hair and their leader had shoulder-length grayish hair and an eye patch. (1000 ATK)
Henry smiled as he played a spell card from his hand. 'Mystic Box?' Violet gasped, a magician's box with red doors and question marks on them appeared trapping all the Dark Scorpions and Violet's Revival Rose.
'Now swords will pierce each box, well let's see what happens!' Henry spread his arms, several swords appeared in mid-air piercing the sides of each box, then the box on Henry's side opened Revival Rose sat in there pierced by the swords, then the box on Violet's side opened and the Dark Scorpions leaped out seemingly unharmed.
'Now the key for my victory is in place.' Henry claimed quickly he played another spell card. 'I activate Hippo Carnival.' In a puff of colored smoke three hippos appeared one was orange, one blue and the last one yellow, each hippo wore a costume you would see in Brazilian Carnival. (0 ATK x3) 'Oh no.' Jack gasped as he saw the set-up, Leo and Juliet gave him a confused look. 'He wouldn't.' Jack added.
'Would what?' Kailyn asked who was now curious as well.
'A strategy with an instant win condition which is so outlandish that I never have thought someone would actually attempt it.'
'Now Blade behold my master plan, my Hippo Token attacks the Burglars!' He shouted.
'I activate my DNA Surgery making all monsters Plants!' Violet replied her trap card opened up, flowers sprouted all over the three hippos, the skin of the Dark Scorpions turned to tree bark, then the yellow hippo charged in, the strong and bald man grabbed a huge spiky mace and crushed the hippo in one hit.

'A Plant monster was destroyed which means my World Tree gains a counter.' Violet explained a single, red apple grew on the tree it looked very fresh and delicious.
'Dark Scorpion Burglars destroyed a monster which means their effect activates and I need to send a spell card from my Deck to the Graveyard.'
Suddenly a machine rose behind Henry, it was a slot machine Egyptian themed the cabinet was striped blue and yellow around the screen it had some hieroglyphs, a giant Pot of Greed with its left eye missing was seated on top, the handle moved on its own the wheel started to spin then one stopped on a big, red seven with gold around it.
'Dark Scorpion Burglars forced me to discarded a spell card, I choose Jackpot 7. When Jackpot 7 is send to my Graveyard by an opponent's card effect I banish it, when three are banished I win the Duel.'
Juliet and Kailyn looked confused. 'He really went for that? Does he know in how many ways this can fail? I don't know if he is brave or stupid.' Leo sighted. 'Now my second Token attacks!' Henry shouted this time the orange hippo charged in this time the young one with yellow hair grabbed a mallet and smashed the head of the hippo in, another apple grew on the tree, Henry took the second Jackpot 7 out of his Deck and discarded it, a second red seven stopped on the machine.

'Go my last Hippo Token, bring me victory!' As the third hippo charged in Henry's grin grew. 'I activate Wall of Thorns!' Violet shouted suddenly vines with sharp thorns shot out of the ground the third hippo ran into it more vines appeared around it slowly dragging it into the ground.
'When a Plant monster is attacked I can destroy all my opponent's attacking monsters.' Violet explained a third apple grew on the tree behind Violet. Henry was fuming. 'Looks like your instant victory failed, could have activated my Wall of Thorns from the beginning but you freely took two-thousand points of damage.'
Henry cursed as he ended his turn.
Violet drew her card.
'I send Gigaplant from my hand to the Graveyard so that I can special summon World Carrotweight Champion.' Violet explained a cluster of roots shot out of the ground when they opened the carrot-man stepped out of them. (1900 ATK)
'Now I normal summon Cherry Inmato.' She continued a small creature appeared with a tomato for a head, it wore a prison uniform. (700 ATK)
'I tune Cherry Inmato level two with the now Plant type level four Dark Scorpion Burglars!' The green light blinded the area as the small creature turned into two green rings.
'Prickling thorns taking shape, the queen of flowers set into bloom! Synchro summon! Come forth, Queen of Thorns!' When the light died out a plant-human hybrid stood on the field, a young-looking woman wearing a dress made out of plant material the body was black, the skirt red, she had no hands but a large maw made out of plant material instead, her head was in vines. (2200 ATK)
'Next I remove three Flower Counters from The World Tree in order to special summon Gigaplant!'
The ground started to shake violently as multiple vines broke through the concrete a massive plant burst through the ground having a thick body it had many small arms that ended in blades made out of plant-like material, its head was the most disturbing one large, red, maw with six blue eyes and rows of sharp teeth. (2400 ATK)
'Both of you are open, but I recognize Henry as the most dangerous one right now so I target him!' First the Gigaplant spat some acid fluid at Henry, then the Carrotweight Champion charged delivering some quick punches, finally the Queen of Thorns send some vines that whipped his back.

'How could I lose!' Henry howled as he dramatically sank to his knees.
The slot machine behind him disappeared.
Violet placed a card in her Duel Disk which appeared face-down behind her monsters. 'I end my turn.' She stated but her opponents were distracted.
'You're a fool Henry, you could have asked for literally any card, or heck a complete Deck like I have, Anthony would have bought it but you just had to go for this ridiculous strategy!' Chloe roared.
Henry shrugged as he stood up. 'Would have been funny had it worked.' He simply said as he walked away.
'Would have been funny he says.' Chloe replied with a sigh.
'Anyway you have been a nice distraction Henry, she had to focus you down first, now I have the means to win.' Chloe said with a grin as she drew her card.
'So every time I try to summon a non Plant monster I take thousand points of damage.' Chloe smiled: 'I activate Backup Squad.' A continuous spell card appeared on the field. 'Now every time I take thousand points of damage I draw an extra card.' She explained.
'So I activate Monster Reborn!' Chloe shouted, the holy Ankh appeared and in a flash of light Power Annihilator appeared under it. (1800 ATK)
Then vines with thorns lashed out at Chloe, with a smile she drew a card.

'Power Annihilator attacks Gigaplant!' Chloe commanded, her fiend took a leap pulling back its tail ready to strike. (1800- 2800 ATK)
With one slash the huge plant was cleaved in half.
'And now you take damage due to Power Wall.' Violet braced herself purple lightning struck her, on The World Tree a new apple grew.

'And now I activate another Explosion Fuse!' Chloe shouted her trap card opened up, the buzzing of another one of her demonic wasp-like Power Bombard sounded over the arena, from out of the shadows the beast appeared. (1000 ATK)
Chloe laughed as vines lashed out at her again, once more she drew a card.
(Chloe: 4700- 3700 & Henry: 0) - (Violet: 600)
'Blade, Explosion Fuse activates during my next standby phase I can destroy the equipped Power Bombard to deal thousand damage to you, if you attack my Power Annihilator I can destroy Power Bombard because the attack points of Power Annihilator changed to deal eighteen-hundred points of damage.' Chloe then took the last three cards from her hand.
'First I shall equip Power Bombard with Mist Body so that you cannot destroy it.' A thin layer of mist appeared around the demon wasp.
'Then I activate The Dark Door.' Another continuous spell appeared.
'Now only one monster can attack per turn.' Chloe said after that she played her third card. 'Magic Reflector, I place a counter on The Dark Door, whenever you destroy The Dark Door the counter is removed instead.' With that Chloe ended her turn.
'Should one of us help Violet?' Kailyn whispered.
'No.' Jack simply replied. 'If Violet destroys Power Bombard with an effect she cannot destroy Power Bombard by battle because of Mist Body which causes her to lose. If she manages to destroy Power Bombard she can attack Power Annihilator provided she can find a way around the thousand attack point boost it gains, but she cannot deal enough damage to end the Duel, then Chloe only needs a monster to destroy one of Violet's monster and win due to her field spell.' Jack calmly laid out the situation.
'Then we need to help her.' Kailyn urged Jack.
'Violet's Deck can deal with this, but she needs to execute it carefully and precise.'
Violet looked at her hand. 'I use Queen of Thorns as a tribute so I can summon Queen Angel of Roses!' Her Synchro monster suddenly changed into a giant, red rose out of it burst a powerful woman wearing red armor, it was a red and white chest piece with a heavy skirt made of sturdy yet light material, she had angel-like wings made of rose petals in her hands she held a sword. (2400 ATK)
'Once per turn Queen Angel of Roses destroys the monster with the lowest attack points!' The woman made a powerful slash with her sword sharp rose petals appeared where she had slashed the air quickly the petals cut down the demon wasp, a second apple grew on the tree behind Violet.
'Now I activate Call of the Haunted!' Violet shouted the ground broke open out of the hole leaped Cherry Inmato. (700 ATK)
Violet crossed her arms the tomato changed into two rings, World Carrotweight Champion leaped through then the green light illuminated the area. 'The beauty of flowers showing a darker side, the flower of destruction set into bloom! Synchro summon! Come forth, Splendid Rose!' Violet chanted, a young woman with short, yellow hair appeared she wore a green suit the right half was dark green while the left half was light green she had rose petals around her ankles whip-like vines covered in thorns appeared out of her hands. (2200 ATK)
'I need to end this Duel this turn, if I use my World Tree to destroy Power Annihilator I cannot do that, instead I use one Flower Counter to increase the attack points of Splendid Rose.' One of the apples fell out of the tree Splendid Rose grabbed it with her whip then ate it. (2200- 2600 ATK)
'Now I banish World Carrotweight Champion so that I can halve the attack points of Power Annihilator!' One of the whips wrapped itself around the fiend. (1800- 900 ATK)
'Now destroy Power Annihilator!' Violet shouted Splendid Rose heaved the monster in the air with her whip, the monster became stronger. (900- 1900 ATK) then Splendid Rose brought it down hard on the street, Power Annihilator shattered, Chloe braced herself as purple lightning struck her.
(Chloe: 3700- 3000- 1200 & Henry: 0) - (Violet: 600)
'It's too bad you cannot attack anymore.' Chloe said as she showed the card she just drew it was another Power Annihilator.
'I only need to summon this and I win, you have no more cards in your hand so I know you can't stop me.' Chloe laughed.
'I know.' Violet replied: 'But I banish Cherry Inmato!' She quickly retrieved the card from her Graveyard. 'This allows me to half the attack points of Splendid Rose and attack again!' (2600- 1300 ATK)
Chloe's mouth opened words didn't come out, two whips tightly wrapped around her body.
(Chloe: 1200- 0 & Henry: 0) - (Violet: 600)
Chloe cursed loudly as the holograms disappeared she took her Deck, threw it on the ground and started to stomp on the cards.
'You're not worth the title of Duelist.' Violet then spoke Chloe stopped stomping her cards. 'You don't respect your Deck, that is why you lost you didn't pour your soul in it like I did, you bought this Deck battle ready you didn't choose the cards yourself you didn't figure out your synergy, that is why you lost.'
Chloe was shaking from anger. 'She's right you know.' Henry then bluntly said this gave him an angry glare from Chloe.
'Running with Anthony it made us blind, we thought we were on top of the world because he is, we forgot our place, forgot how to be humble.'
Chloe calmed down a bit she hung her head then Henry grabbed her by her shoulders before Chloe knew what was happening Henry kissed her on the lips. 'We know each other for about a year, a few months ago I fell in love with you, I told Anthony he said I should forget it said you were his.'
Chloe's eyes narrowed. 'Anthony? No way am I ever going to date him, you know what Henry? We'll leave Anthony's group I'll go with you.' The Blades watched as the two started to pick up Chloe's cards.
'I like Duel entertainment.' Henry then said: 'I love using weird strategies like the one I tried today, I want people to laugh about my antics, I want them to remember my Duels because they were funny even if I lose.'
Chloe stopped picking up cards: 'You need a partner a more serious Duelist, one who can get worked up about those antics, you make the people laugh then I can step in and give them another Duel they can remember.'
Henry handed her the remaining cards. 'This Power Deck works well for you, Chloe I'm gonna help you improve it help you give it a personal touch, we'll pour your soul into it.' Then he turned to Violet. 'Violet was it?' He asked, the Blade nodded. 'Thank you for setting us straight, you really opened our eyes, watch out for Anthony though deep down, my gut told me not to trust him, he's a jerk who deploys cheap strategies to win.'
Rini who was silently watching the Duel the entire time hugged Serana the moment Violet won, Serana was standing there not really knowing what to do. 'Rini.' She then whispered as she let go of the vampire Serana pointed towards the exit of the building they were in. 'Two Duelists, let's go follow them a bit, do not engage yet.'
