The battle between Jack and Ushiwaka goes on, both Duelists need to keep summoning stronger monsters in order to keep up with each other. While Ushiwaka stood face-to-face with both Stardust Dragon and Stardust Spark Dragon, Ushiwaka managed to take both out and as a reaction Jack summoned one of his ultimate monsters.
Meanwhile Drake, Don and Michelle are still trapped in the middle of a battle between the French and German teams. While that was going on Ghard and Kamdida were targeted by Akai and Tai, the two managed to take down two Machine Emperors then they surrendered the Duel, just to demonstrate they stand no chance against Tamamo.
And finally Rao and Susanoo are targeted by Ren and the mysterious Yadira.
21. The Trial - Part 3.
'Ushiwaka.' Jack said as stardust fell down around them, Jack's mighty Stardust Sifr Divine Dragon stood tall between him and Ushiwaka. (4000 ATK)
'Are you sure you wish to continue?' Jack asked, he looked at the only card Ushiwaka had on his field, his monster: Immortal Phoenix Gearfried. (3000 ATK)
Ushiwaka was trembling. 'You'd wish I give up Jack.' He replied with a huge grin on his face: 'I think I actually stand a chance against you.'
Jack simply looked at Ushiwaka from behind his monster, he knew Ushiwaka was serious, he had to watch out if Ushiwaka thought he stood a chance. 'Now then Ushiwaka
(Jack: 1300) - (Ushiwaka: 5700)
The divine dragon warrior on Jack's side opened all of it's wings, two green rings made out of runes appeared in front of its shoulders, energy started to charge inside the rings.
'Ushiwaka.' Jack said all serious: 'The real Duel starts now! And it starts with Stardust Sifr Divine Dragon destroying Immortal Phoenix Gearfried!'
Two beams of divine light shot out of the green rings, both beams completely obliterated Ushiwaka's monster.
(Jack: 1300) - (Ushiwaka: 5700- 4700)
'Now Ushiwaka I end my turn.' Jack stated.
Ushiwaka drew his card, he looked over his hand as he pondered his options. A few seconds later he played a single card which appeared face-down as a spell or trap.
'Not much I can do for now.' He shrugged as he signaled the end of his turn.
Jack took a hard look at Ushiwaka's face-down card. 'Stardust Sifr Divine Dragon, direct attack!' Jack roared.
'Go Defense Draw!' Ushiwaka replied, a barrier appeared around him blocking the divine light of Jack's dragon. 'Now let's see if I can get anything better now.' Ushiwaka said as he drew a card due to the effect of Defense Draw.
'I set a card and end my turn.' Jack stated as a face-down card appeared behind his monster.
Ushiwaka's hand trembled a bit as he drew his card. 'Jack you ready? This turn will decide everything, this is my battle! I'll show you what I'm worth!' He got really pumped Jack's stern face became softer a bit as he gave Ushiwaka an encouraging nod.
'I summon Marauding Captain and through his effect I special summon Command Knight!' First the gruff, male warrior appeared, (1200- 1600 ATK) next to him appeared the yellow-haired warrior clad in her heavy suit of red and white armor. (1200- 1600 ATK)
'Now I activate Polymerization!' As soon as he played the spell card the fusion portal opened behind him, both warriors stepped into it.
'Defenders of the realm, form as one so that the dreams of freedom might become reality! Fusion summon, come forth Gilti-Gearfried the Magical Steel Knight!' Ushiwaka chanted out of the stepped an imposing warrior a tall man with long, black hair sticking through a helmet which was made of pure steel, three horns decorated the helmet one on the front two on the sides, he wore purple robes with steel gauntlets and pauldrons over it, a steel belt protected his waist, several red gems were etched into the armor, in his right hand he held a large, curved blade and a shield over his wrist, the knight swung the sword around a couple of times before grabbing it with two hands and slamming the tip into the ground. (2700 ATK)
'So that is your ace monster?' Jack asked as he eyed the imposing warrior before him.
'He is Jack, one of my monsters that has no effect tied to equip cards, but I can pull it out easily if I need to, but equip cards like Magnum Shield can still enhance his power!' The gold-trimmed shield with four spikes appeared around the wrist of the warrior, he let out a war-cry as his defense power got added to his attack power. (2700- 4300 ATK)
'Attack Sifr!' Ushiwaka roared the warrior heaved his sword then charged in, Jack's dragon warrior caught the blade with its bare hand, Gilti-Gearfried slammed his shield into the chest of Jack's dragon warrior.
(Jack: 1300- 1000) - (Ushiwaka: 4700)
'Jack I know Sifr negate the first time it would be destroyed either by battle or card effect, but when Gilti-Gearfried is fusion summoned using two monsters on the field he can make a second attack, this time Sifr is going down!' The warrior leaped back pulling the spike of his shield out of Sifr's chest, the he prepared to strike with his sword again.
'I activate Shooting Star!' Jack roared as his trap card opened up: 'I control a Stardust monster so I target Gilti-Gearfried and destroy him!'
Ushiwaka chuckled when a beam of divine light descended upon his warrior, he calmly lifted his shield and blocked the beam like it was nothing. 'Once per turn when an destruction effect targets my Gilti-Gearfried I can negate that destruction and destroy one card on the field.'
Ushiwaka's warrior aimed the beam of light directly at Stardust Sifr.
'Nice try Ushiwaka, but here is where it ends! You activated a monster effect, Stardust Sifr negates that monster's effect and I destroy one card on the field!' Gilti-Gearfried gasped as his shield shattered and the beam of divine light blasted him away, when the light faded only the busted armor of the warrior was left.
Ushiwaka looked up, a smile on his face he had lost his hand was empty and he had nothing on the field.
'That was a good Duel Ushiwaka.' Jack said as he drew his card.
'Your resolve is overwhelming.' He played a card and his Junk Blader appeared. (1800 ATK)
Jack nodded as both his monsters moved in to attack.
(Jack: 1000) - (Ushiwaka: 4700- 2900- 0)
Jack walked up to Ushiwaka as the holograms disappeared, he shook Ushiwaka's hand. 'You should be proud of this moment Ushiwaka, your attack nearly got through, I haven't filled a thrill like this in a while, going all out like this while my life didn't depend on it. This moment I truly felt alive, I felt how fun a Duel can be when it's for fun.'
Ushiwaka didn't know what to say with so much praise.
'Ushiwaka as I have promised when this is all over I travel with you to Japan, we'll help you set up your Demon Hunters.'
The docks:
Rao and Susanoo were watching the start of the Duel between Jack and Rao's brother.
'You think your brother stands a chance?' Susanoo casually asked.
'As chance?' Rao replied: 'Of course he stands a chance, Ushiwaka is strong one slip-up from Jack's side and he's out. Will my brother win? I don't think so.' Susanoo looked confused. 'Susanoo if Ushiwaka had any other opponent I would say yes he'd win, but it's Jack we're talking about that guy did not only single-handedly destroyed the Orichalcos, he took out several Earthbound Gods as well as the Time Machine Gods and he held his ground against Tamamo.'
Susanoo looked at the screen where Ushiwaka was just making his move.
'Well I'm still rooting for my friend.
Just as Ushiwaka ended his turn they heard footsteps behind them.
'A most interesting display is it not?' A calm and collected man's voice asked, immediately the two turned around: 'The mighty Jack versus possibly the strongest human Duelist in this tournament.'
The robed man who spoke was looking at Rao paying no mind to Susanoo his yellow eyes seem to pierce through Rao's soul.
'Remarkable.' He muttered to himself: 'I can't pierce through your mind.'
Rao took a defensive stance holding her Duel Disk in front of her chest.
'Distortion.' She growled.
'The name is Ren.' He replied: 'Lady Tamamo told me you had some skills girl.'
'Leave her alone.' Susanoo hissed as he took position between Rao and Ren. 'That is not your battle.' A kind-sounding female voice spoke, immediately Susanoo looked around to look for the source but he saw nobody. 'Show yourself!'
He heard the woman laughing when he looked around again Rao and Ren were gone. 'What's going on?' He muttered to himself then in the distance he saw the woman, the most striking were her deep, red eyes and tribal-like tattoo, she had rolled up the sleeves of her dress her arms were covered in the same tattoos as well.
'You and I are going to Duel Susanoo.' The woman spoke, it appeared she was closer to Susanoo than before even though she hadn't moved.
Susanoo activated his Duel Disk when he saw his arm he clearly saw his veins they were swollen and glowing green.
'The hell did you do lady?' Susanoo growled as he looked up the woman stood before him her eyes were now glowing green.
Rao who was focused on Ren when she suddenly heard Susanoo call out, confused he looked around him, his eyes were glowing green, then he started to make his way towards the other end of the docks where the tattooed woman was standing.
'What did you guys do to him?' Rao shouted.
'Nothing against tournament regulations.' Ren replied, Rao took a moment she couldn't sense any magic.
'Yadira has a way with people, men specifically, they can't seem to resist her natural charm.' Ren then looked over to his teammate. 'Yadira! No killing this time remember!' He shouted, then four Duel Disks activated.
(Susanoo: 8000) - (Yadira: 8000) & (Rao: 8000) - (Ren: 8000)
'My turn.' Susanoo stated taking the first turn he looked at his opening hand. 'I have no spells or traps in my Graveyard which allows me to special summon Superheavy Samurai Big Waraji!' A mechanical creature crashed down onto the jetty, it had a large, brown body with four tentacle-like arms attached to it on top of the body rested a small head, the creature stood on four, thin, needle-like legs. (800 ATK)
'I release Big Waraji who counts as two tributes.' Susanoo stated: 'Advance summon Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei!'
The mechanical creature disappeared, with a grunt a larger mechanical warrior leaped onto the jetty. Its armor resembled that of a traditional samurai with the one difference of there sticking two exhaust-like pipes out of its shoulders, the face of the mechanical warrior was covered by a black mask in its hands it held a staff with two blades at the top. (1000 ATK)
'With Big Benkei normal summoned I change its battle position through its effect.' Susanoo stated the warrior clicked his weapon to a holder on its back then it crouched down on one knee, its arms ready to intercept any attack. (3500 DEF) 'I end my turn.'
Yadira took her time drawing her card, she slowly added it to her hand while pondering her options.
'I activate Snake Rain.' She finally stated, she showed her Venom Snake before she discarded it. 'I send four more Reptiles from my Deck to my Graveyard.' She searched out two Venom Serpents another Venom Snake and Vennominon the King of Poisonous Snakes.
'Now I activate Venom Swamp!' The jetty disappeared and got replaced by a dank area filled with large, leafless trees and grass, in the middle was a swamp filled with poisonous sludge.
'And now Monster Reborn!' A gigantic snake monster rose out of the swamp, its scaly, green hide was drenched in the poisonous sludge, the creature wore blue robes and a red cape, its head was protected by a helmet shaped like snake head, its arms were made out of countless smaller snakes. (0- 2000 ATK)
'My Vennominon would like to snack on your monsters, but for now that ain't happening.' Yadira stated as she took two cards from her hand, she quickly played them and both appeared face-down behind Vennominon.
'I end my turn and thus each monster except for Venom monsters and Vennominon get a Venom Counter, which means they lose five-hundred attack points and when their attack points reach zero they are destroyed.'
Rust appeared over half of Big Benkei as the sludge slowly penetrated its armor.
A little bit away from the jetty Rao and Ren had taken position in the middle of a driveway that lead up to one of the many warehouses.
'I'll start.' Rao stated she looked at her opening hand. 'I discard my Dark Magician Girl in order to special summon Apprentice Illusion Magician.'
An explosion of bubbles exploded on the middle of the field, a Spellcaster stepped out of the bubbles she had long sand-colored hair and an outfit that resembled the one Dark Magician Girl wore, it was colored purple and pink, she held a short staff in her hand that also resembled the one Dark Magician Girl held. (2000 ATK)
'With the effect of Apprentice Illusion Magician I add Dark Magician to my hand.' The search system of her Duel Disk buzzed and seconds later ejected a card.
'Next I activate Monster Reborn.' She continued playing the spell card, the holy symbol appeared on the field and in a flash of light one of the most famous monsters appeared, the Dark Magician Girl with her long, yellow hair and blue and pink costume, she made a small pirouette as she landed showing a kind smile. (2000 ATK)
'I end my turn.' Rao stated.
Ren drew his card, a sly smirk formed on his face. 'I summon Eidos the Underworld Squire.' He stated the demon-looking warrior clad in heavy black armor appeared out of an explosion of black smoke. (800 ATK)
'I release Eidos in order to advance summon Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch.' A pillar of flames burst out of the ground, one of Ren's giants appeared this one's body was covered in heavy, steel armor, the arms were protected by another layer of armor covered in spikes. (2400 ATK)
'By making a tribute summon I can special summon Illusory Snatcher.' Smoke poured out of Thestalos the shadowy giant appeared behind him. (2400 ATK)
'Now the effect of Thestalos activates, you discard one random card from your hand, if it was a monster you take damage equal to its level times hundred.'
Smoke appeared from one of Rao's cards, she revealed it to be Dark Magician, as the card burned up Thestalos hurled a ball of flames at her.

As soon as Rao was hit Dark Magician Girl became stronger from a Dark Magician being in the graveyard. (2000- 2300 ATK)
'Apprentice Illusion Magician has a nasty effect so I'll take her out first.' Ren stated Thestalos snapped his fingers the Spellcaster exploded in a ball of fire.

'With her gone I am safe to attack Dark Magician Girl.' Illusory Snatcher disappeared seconds later it reappeared behind Dark Magician Girl.
'The effect of Apprentice Illusion Magician can be activated from my field or my hand, unlucky for you I had one in my hand as well.' Rao showed the card before she discarded it.
Dark Magician Girl exploded with power. (2300- 4300 ATK)
With one powerful spell she blew Illusory Snatcher away, then her attack points returned back to normal.

'A minor setback.' Ren calmly said as he played a card from his hand it appeared face-down behind his Thestalos. 'I end my turn.'
Over at the other side of the docks Susanoo had just started his turn by drawing his card. 'I summon Superheavy Samurai Drum.'
before Susanoo appeared what was literally a futuristic-looking hand drum keeping itself afloat with two red rings and multiple cannons where you normally would hit the drum. (300 ATK)
'I tune level one Drum to level eight Big Benkei!'
Susanoo grinned as the green light illuminated the dark swamp.
'Mighty beast of legends, appear now and scorch the field of conflict! Synchro summon! Roar Superheavy Samurai Beast Kyubi!'
A mighty beast crashed down onto the field, a mechanical, centaur-looking creature covered with plates of heavy, white armor, it held a large spear in its hands with a flamethrower as the tip, it had several exhausts sticking out of its back and shoulders and at its rear end, flames shot from the exhausts in its shoulders whilst the ones on the rear end created nine tails made out of flames. (2500 DEF)
'Kyubi can attack while in defense mode using its defense points as attack points, also it gains nine-hundred defense points for each special summoned monster you control as long as I have no spells or traps in my Graveyard.' Susanoo explained larger flames continuously spouted out of the exhausts on its back. (2500- 3400 DEF)
'Kyubi attack Vennominon!' Susanoo commanded, the centaur readied its spear.
'I activate Destruct Potion!' Yadira shouted her trap opened up. 'I destroy Vennominon and increase my life points with the attack points he had.'
The snake-man slithered back into the swamp and disappeared, Yadira started to glow with a green light.

'Now I activate my Rise of the Snake Deity since Vennominon was destroyed other than by battle I special summon Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes!' Out of the swamp crawled another snake creature, this one clearly female, she had two large snakes for arms and many small snakes as hair, her face was hidden by a golden mask, her entire body was covered in blueish scales, except her belly which was a beige color.
'Vennominaga gains five-hundred attack points for each Reptile in my Graveyard.' Yadira spoke, her monster hissed as her power grew. (0- 2500 ATK)
'All for nothing Kyubi is stronger still!' Susanoo shouted as the centaur leaped in flames shot out of the spear engulfing the weapon in blue flames with it the centaur cut right through the snake woman, Vennominaga slowly disappeared into the swamp.
(Susanoo: 8000) - (Yadira: 10.000- 9100) & (Rao: 6900) - (Ren: 6100)
'I simply banish one of my Reptiles.' Yadira stated quickly she retrieved a card from her Graveyard and placed it in her pocket, the swamp started to bubble and mere seconds later Vennominaga came bursting out of it, her wounds were all gone. (0- 2000 ATK)
'Hiding behind a monster who can't defend you Yadira?' Susanoo sneered. 'My Kyubi has nineteen-hundred attack points, if I end my turn it loses five-hundred because of your swamp, but I still use its defense points to attack and as long as it has attack points your Venom Swamp won't destroy it.' Susanoo signaled the end of his turn, rust slowly started to affect the armor of his monster.
'Your point?' Yadira hissed as she drew her card, she added it to her hand then quickly played the only other card in her hand, it appeared face-down behind her Vennominaga.
'My Deck counters your strategy hard Yadira, you choose the wrong opponent, reduce my attack points all you want I don't need them.'
'We'll see.' Yadira grinned as she signaled the end of her turn, more rust started to affect Kyubi.
Rao looked at the field, then she looked at her hand and the card she just drew.
'I activate Polymerization!' She shouted as she activated her card, the vortex opened up behind her. 'I fuse the Kiwi Magician Girl in my hand with Dark Magician Girl on the field.'
First Dark Magician Girl leaped into the portal then an older Spellcaster with long, purple hair and wearing a black costume in the style of the other Magician Girls leaped in after Dark Magician Girl.
'The master and the student, an unbreakable bond that stood through centuries. Fusion summon! Come out The Dark Magicians!' Rao chanted, an explosion of rose petals burst out from the fusion portal followed by black flames that lit the petals up, then Dark Magician Girl leaped out followed by Dark Magician, both Magicians held their wands together as they nodded at each other. (2800 ATK)
'Now I activate Dark Magic Expand to increase the attack power of The Dark Magician by one-thousand.' Rao explained, the wants of the master and student started to glow. (2800- 3800 ATK)
'Since I activated a spell card the effect of The Dark Magician activates, I can draw one card then if that card is a spell or trap I can set it.' Rao drew her card then played it, as Ren had expected it appeared face-down on the field. 'The Dark Magicians attack Thestalos!'
Both Spellcasters crossed their wants a blast of dark magic shot out both tips obliterating the mighty Fire Monarch.
'I end my turn.' Rao stated as the two magicians lowered their weapons.
(Susanoo: 8000) - (Yadira: 9100) & (Rao: 6900) - (Ren: 6100- 4700)
Ren drew his card. 'First I activate Pot of Extravagance.' Ren stated a pot that was one half Pot of Riches and one half Pot of Greed. 'With this card I banish six cards from my Extra Deck face-down then draw one card for each one send.' Laughing he took the only six cards he had in his Extra Deck and placed them in his pocket. 'Of course my Deck has no need for Extra Deck monsters so those were just here specifically for this one card.' He laughed.
Rao then interrupted him: 'Since you activated a spell card the effect of The Dark Magicians allows me to draw a card and set it if it is a spell or trap.' Rao drew her card then added it to her hand.
'If I may.' Ren said he sounded irritated: 'I now activate Call of the Haunted.' He stated the ground caved in as pillars of flames burst through the ground, the form as Thestalos reemerged. (2400 ATK)
'I release Thestalos in order to advance summon Zaborg the Thunder Monarch!' Another one of the giants appeared this one wore white, regal armor a yellow piece of cloth was tied around his waist, a ring was mounted to the back of the armor, the giant used this ring to channel electricity, for now electricity was crackling around his giant fists. (2400 ATK)
'With Zaborg I destroy The Dark Magicians!' Ren commanded the giant opened his fists lightning struck down upon the master and his student, before it hit they leaped away from each other. (Dark Magician: 2500 ATK, Dark Magician Girl: 2000- 2300 ATK)
'When The Dark Magicians is destroyed I get to special summon a Dark Magician and a Dark Magician Girl from my hand, Deck or Graveyard.' She explained her auto shuffler shuffled her Deck.
'And now I activate Dark Burning Magic!' Rao shouted as her quick-play spell activated, the master and student crossed their wands, a wave of dark magic felled Zaborg before Ren could say anything.
'Of course you have to resist, but in doing so you have actually helped me.' Ren spoke as he picked a card from his hand. 'I activate Restoration of the Monarchs!' Another spell card appeared: 'I special summon Zaborg again, only his effect is negated and he counts as two tributes.' Lightning struck the field the giant appeared again he sat on one knee with his arms crossed against his chest. (1000 DEF)
'Finally I activate Double Summon!' Ren played the semi-last card from his hand. 'Finally I release Zaborg! Advance summon Ehther the Heavenly Monarch!' Light struck Zaborg Rao shielded her eyes, when the light died down the absolute giant of a man stood on the field, his white robes were flowing in the wind, he held out his hand and his large, golden staff appeared in it. (2800 ATK)
'I use the effect of Ehther, by sending The Monarchs Erupt and March of the Monarchs from my Deck to the Graveyard.' He quickly retrieved the cards from his Deck. 'Now I special summon Caius the Shadow Monarch!' The giant demon in black armor rose out of the ground, he clasped his hands together a black orb formed in front of him. (2400 ATK)
'Caius attack Dark Magician Girl.' Ren commanded the giant threw his black orb, Dark Magician Girl tried to block it but it was to no avail.
(Susanoo: 8000) - (Yadira: 9100) & (Rao: 6900- 6800) - (Ren: 4700)
'And now Ehther obliterate Dark Magician!' The lawyer shouted, Dark magician fired his dark magic to intercept the beam of holy light, the black magic and its caster got vaporized by the light of Ehther, leaving a crater at the impact.

'I end my turn and that means Caius returns to my hand.' Ren stated as he retrieved the card from his Duel Disk, Caius dissolved in a black mist.
Back over at the jetty and the swamp Susanoo was facing down Vennominaga, he just drew his card, as Susanoo saw his hand he noticed his veins were even more green than before, he felt weird in his head.
'Damned swamp fumes.' He muttered a curse: 'I summon Superheavy Samurai Magnet.' A bulky warrior appeared before Susanoo, the warrior wore square, blue armor its arms ended in yellow magnets instead of hands, the right hand had a plus symbol the left hand a minus symbol, a large ''U'' shaped magnet rested on its shoulders, the magnet was currently aimed horizontally. (900 ATK)
'When Magnet is normal summoned I can special summon a Superheavy Samurai from my hand then change Magnet to defense mode.' Susanoo explained quickly he took a card from his hand. 'I summon Flutist.' He stated, the sound of a flute echoed over the swamp, a mechanical man came walking in it looked like a komusÅ, a Japanese monk wearing a straw basket which completely covered their heads, they often used bamboo flutes during their meditation. (500 ATK)
Magnet crouched down and started to shield itself with its massive arms. (1900 DEF)
'Now I tribute Flutist in order to special summon Big Benkei from my hand.' Susanoo stated the monk started to play a tune slowly it disappeared seconds later the massive warrior leaped out of the swamp landing next to Magnet. (3500 DEF)
'Kyubi attack Vennominaga! Trample that snake!' Susanoo shouted.
'Gotcha.' Yadira replied with a grin: 'I activate Final Attack Orders!' She bellowed as her trap card opened up, Magnet, Kyubi and Big Benkei all three stood up. (Magnet: 900 ATK, Kyubi: 1900- 900 ATK, Big Benkei: 1000 ATK)
Vennominaga took a dive disappearing in the swamp, seconds later bubbles appeared around Kyubi then the mighty beast got dragged under the poisonous water.
(Susanoo: 8000- 6900) - (Yadira: 9100) & (Rao: 6500) - (Ren: 4700)
Before Susanoo could react a tiny snake leaped out of the swamp biting him in the arm, Susanoo tried to shake the snake off but it held on.
'That Susanoo.' Yadira spoke with her sweet voice: 'Is a Hyper-Venom Counter, whenever Vennominaga causes battle damage she gains one, when she has three I win automatically.'
Susanoo cursed loudly.
'And here you thought you had this.' Yadira said with a sneer.
'I- I must end my turn.' Susanoo stammered, rust appeared over Big Benkei and Magnet as the poisonous goo started to affect the machines. (Big Benkei: 1000- 500 ATK, Magnet: 900- 400 ATK)
Yadira said nothing as she drew her card, the green veins Susanoo had were slightly glowing, his eyes were glowing green.

Susanoo just looked at his hand he quickly drew his card, an idea flared up in his mind, if he could summon Superheavy Samurai Ninja Sarutobi he could deal with Venom Swamp, just as the idea of how he would do this had formed in his head he suddenly he heard someone calling his name.
Susanoo gasped as he saw the figure who had spoken to him. 'Uncle?' He gasped, then a second figure appeared from behind his uncle, it was his cousin. 'No this is not possible.' Susanoo stammered, he had lost his uncle and cousin in a car accident when he was six years old, a truck driver hit their car from behind Susanoo was in a coma for a month, almost two years back when he, Rao and Ushiwaka confronted Hoji and the Orichalcos Hoji forced them to face their fears, Susanoo faced down a Shinigami and with that this horrible memory, he had made peace with it but now.
Slowly Susanoo fell to his knees. 'You're dead, both of you!' He shouted.
'It doesn't have to be.' Yadira suddenly stood next to him, the swamp disappeared as Yadira gently stroke Susanoo's cheek, he was in his parents house, seemingly there was a birthday going on, his uncle was there he and his dad were laughing while playing cards with some other family members, Susanoo saw himself playing a video game against his cousin they were having fun.
Tear rolled down Susanoo's cheeks.
'This can be yours if you want.' Yadira whispered: 'You just need to surrender.'
In a flash Susanoo was back in the swamp everything now had a green haze, Yadira smiled on the other side of the field Susanoo's eyes were glowing with a green light. 'Don't resist Susanoo.'
Susanoo dropped his cards he grabbed his head. 'No, no more!' He yelled: 'They are dead because of that truck driver! They can't come back! Never!' He screamed, he picked his cards from the ground, he was ready to make his move.
Yadira's smile disappeared: 'You reject my gift?' She hissed.
Just as Susanoo wanted to play his card Yadira's eyes glowed green: 'You have no hope of victory here.' She hissed.
Susanoo's hand kept hovering over his card, seconds ago he had an idea of how to win, now his mind was completely blank.
'Since you refuse to make a move I shall end it now.' Yadira said then she shouted her command: 'Vennominaga attack!' One of the snake arms lashed out at Susanoo biting his arm, when she drew her arm back a third small snake latched onto Susanoo's arm.

Rao had witnessed those final moments of the Duel. 'What did she do!' She yelled at Ren.
'Yadira showed your friend what he could have, seems like he rejected her offer.' Ren simply replied.
'You cheated, I could see in Susanoo's eyes he still saw a chance of victory! He wouldn't give up like that, she used magic on him!'
Ren softly shook his head: 'Don't bother girl, like I said before Yadira has a natural ability, it is no magic. No magic will be detected, whatever she showed your friends stays between them, like you have seen just now Susanoo refused to move which gave the turn to Yadira who then won under the conditions of Vennominaga.'
Anger filled Rao's eyes: 'Fine I shall beat you first and then I'll take down that partner of yours!' Rao shouted as she drew her card.
'I activate Pot of Avarice!' She shouted quickly she retrieved her two Dark Magician Girls, two Apprentice Illusion Magicians and her Kiwi Magician Girl from her Graveyard, her Deck shuffled automatically then it gave her two cards.
'I activate Dark Magic Curtain!' Rao shouted a large, multi-colored curtain held up by a creepy skeleton appeared in mid-air. 'I give up half my life in order to special summon Dark Magician!' The colors of the curtain started to swirl around slowly it opened once it was opened completely the famous Spellcaster leaped out. (2500 ATK)

'I activate Thousand Knives!' Rao roared as she let out all her anger, countless knives appeared around the Dark Magician. 'I destroy Ehther!' Dark Magician leaped into the air he pointed his staff at Ehther all the knives homed in on the giant making Swiss cheese of it in seconds.
'Now Dark Magic Attack!' Rao roared Ren braced himself as the blast of dark magic hit him in the chest.

Ren's eyes were filled with anger, black smoke came from his shoulders, his eyes were glowing yellow, slowly he looked up at Rao. Suddenly time seem to freeze, she felt Ren's gaze piercing her soul, she let out a loud howl, when Ren broke eye contact everything went back to normal.
'This, girl.' Ren stated his voice sounded calm yet threatening: 'Was a mere fragment of my power. You've seen what we can do, so could you pass on a message to your brother and Jack?'
Rao tried to speak but words didn't come out. 'They should not mess with the Disciples of Tamamo.'
He then drew his card. 'I activate Tenacity of the Monarchs, I'll reveal a Monarch in my hand so I can add a Monarch spell or trap to my hand.'
Quickly the lawyer showed Caius, he then took a card from his Deck and immediately played it. 'I activate Restoration of the Monarchs again.' A bonfire erupted as Thestalos reappeared once more. (1000 DEF)
'I release Thestalos to advance summon Caius the Shadow Monarch!'
A pillar of darkness shot out of the ground, the demonic giant emerged out of the ground once again. (2400 ATK)
'Caius banishes a monster, then if it was a Dark monster you take thousand points of damage.' Ren calmly explained, the giant snapped his fingers Dark Magician got swallowed by a black orb which then spawned more black orbs which all homed in on Rao knocking her on her back.

'Caius.' Ren calmly said, the giant nodded he clasped his hands together to create one large black orb which he fired at Rao.

Without saying anything Ren turned around to Yadira.
'We're done here.' He simply said Yadira nodded, the air rippled around her and a second later she was gone. 'Hate it when she does that.' Ren muttered without even looking at Rao and Susanoo he walked away.
