Serana and Rini made an incredible final stand.

Serana took down Yadira with little to no effort, then Tamamo appeared.

Even though Tamamo managed to take down Serana rather quickly she had great difficulty against Rini who awakened some unknown magic.

Thrown off by this Tamamo started to doubt herself, however in the end she broke through the magic and ended the Duel in her favor.

The Blades and Drake and Don accompanied by Duban brought an exhausted Rini to the exit to the hospital to be safe, then Errol appeared. Drake and Don decided to stall Errol while the rest brought Rini to safety.

30. Blood Hand Mayhem

Errol simply watched as the van with the rest of Jack's team in it drove off.

Drake stood with his arms crossed facing down all five members of Errol's team, Don already had his Duel Disk activated ready to strike.

'A little warm up before I take out Jack.' Errol spoke, the massive Dwemer construct that inhabited his soul stood twice as tall as your average human.

'Astrid, Narnis.' Errol spoke, the Dunmer Narnis quickly leaped up. Astrid was more hesitant.

'You're mine Narnis.' Don said as he stepped to the front.

'Astrid! We Duel!' Drake roared each Dagger drawing away an enemy, the moment the other two members of Errol's team figured it wouldn't be a tag team they stood up to help their allies. But with one hand motion from Errol they stepped back. 'I want to see if these two are worthy.' Errol said: 'Let them Duel the way they prefer, Narnis and Astrid are strong enough to deal with any situation.'

Don and Drake stood away from each other in the middle of the road.

(Don: 8000) - (Astrid: 8000) & (Narnis: 8000) - (Drake: 8000)

'I summon Mystery Shell Dragon.' Don stated without hesitation making clear he took the first turn. A weird creature appeared, like the name suggested it was an unknown beast wearing a spiky shell made of black crystals covering its entire body. (2000 ATK)

Quickly Don played another card which appeared face-down. 'I end my turn.' He stated.

Astrid drew her card. 'I'll make this quick. I summon Jinzo Jector!' A purple-skinned man materialized on the field he wore a green and black suit with many belts, it resembled the outfit the famous Jinzo wore, he had long dreadlocks made of wires which ended in sharp plugs. (800 ATK)

'I tribute Jinzo Jector in order to add the normal Jinzo to my hand.' Astrid's Duel Disk ejected the card quickly since it was near the top. 'Now reveal your set card and if it is a trap I special summon Jinzo.'

The face-down card opened up revealing itself to be Justi-Break a trap card. In a flash of light the famous purple-skinned android wearing his iconic, green coat, metal mask and round, red goggles. (2400 ATK)

'Now Cyber Energy Shock!' Astrid shouted as she played a spell card. 'I destroy your face-down Justi-Break and then Jinzo gains eight-hundred attack points!' She explained, the android fired a ball of plasma surrounded by purple lightning from his hands, the trap card exploded, sparks of electricity appeared around Jinzo as he became stronger. (2400- 3200 ATK)

'Attack!' Astrid then roared, the Jinzo fired another ball of plasma this time Don's monster exploded leaving only shards of crystal on the streets.

(Don: 8000- 6800) - (Astrid: 8000) & (Narnis: 8000) - (Drake: 8000)

Narnis showed a devious smile when Drake didn't attempt to make his move. 'My turn then.' Narnis said as he drew his opening hand, Drake followed the moment Narnis got his cards.

'I set this and end my turn.' Narnis simply said as a face-down monster appeared on his side of the field.

Drake drew his card. 'I summon Serene Psychic Witch. Before Drake appeared the pink-haired woman clad in pink armor, her futuristic weapons ready. (1400 ATK)

'Attack that face-down monster.' Drake commanded, the Witch fired several lasers, a hideous creature appeared on Narnis' side a scaly monster standing on all fours, it held its body low to the ground. It's head was triangular, multiple tails moved in all directions, the scales gave the creature a light-purple glow. (1400- 1700 DEF)

'This is Worm Dimikles and when flipped it gained three-hundred attack and defense.' Narnis said with a smug look on his face, one of the lasers bounced off of the scaly hide of the Worm and hit the Psychic Witch in her shoulder.

(Don: 6800) - (Astrid: 8000) & (Narnis: 8000) - (Drake: 8000- 7700)

Don stared hard at the Jinzo as he drew his card, he had a pained expression in his eyes as he did his best to calculate some thing. 'Trouble deciding how to lose?' Astrid sneered. 'No just calculating my victory, give me a minute, calculating these things are not my strong suit I'd rather Duel on instinct.' He finally had decided quickly he played the card, Heat Wave, the spell card appeared heat rose from the ground as the sun got brighter.

'So now nobody can normal- or special summon effect monsters until my next draw phase. That being said I summon Megalosmasher X!' Water covered part of the arena as the mechanical monstrosity based on a fish-like dinosaur burst out of the water. (2000 ATK)

'Next I activate Common Charity.' Don played his second spell card, he drew three cards. 'Of course I cannot special summon now and you take no damage this turn, but that don't matter.' He said as he played a third spell card, this time it was Shrink, Jinzo shrunk to half his size as did his original attack points he kept the eight-hundred bonus attack points. (3200- 2000)

'Megalosmasher!' Don roared the beast leaped out of the water grabbing Jinzo in its maw dragging the cyborg under, as Jinzo exploded the water got electrified taking out Don's monster in the process.

'I end my turn and due to Card of Demise I need to discard my entire hand.' Don looked at his Birthright and Common Charity as he discarded them both.

Astrid drew her card. 'A Monster Reborn and Jinzo Lord in my hand and three cards that require Jinzo on the field to be even usable.'

Astrid's eyes turned to anger, she felt the glare Errol gave her.

'Damn you!' She yelled: 'Who even uses a Deck with only normal monsters with exactly two-thousand attack points? What strategy is that supposed to be anyway!' She raged.

'I take it it's my turn now?' Don asked as Astrid did not make any kind of move, the growl he got as a reply told him enough.

'Oh and what for strategy this is? It ain't, I like things simple and I like to Duel on instinct. A Deck with normal monsters means I do not have to consider all kinds of effects and synergies. Besides with one spell card I seem to have shut down your entire Deck for a turn, so I'd say my ''strategy'' is pretty good.'

This reply angered Astrid even more and Don enjoyed every second of it.

Narnis laughed as he drew his card: 'My worms will drag you to your grave!' The Dunmer roared: 'I summon Worm Ugly!' A hideous creature appeared it was a round blob of green ooze with many, disgusting, green pimples all over it had two beady eyes and a small, vertical mouth. (100 ATK)

'Next I activate Double Summon.' Narnis stated his spell card flashed on the field. 'Then I release Worm Ugly for Worm Victory and as a present when Worm Ugly is used as a tribute for one of its allies it is special summoned to your side of the field.'

A massive creature covered in brown and red scales dropped out of the sky, this creature was too weird to even describe, with two large feet and arms in not logical places, a massive mouth and one eye on the side of the body, this creature freaked Drake out. (2350 ATK)

The massive Worm landing on Worm Ugly splattered the ooze all over Drake's field where it quickly packed back together. (100 ATK)

Then Narnis turned a card around and Worm Dimikles woke up ready to attack. (1700- 2000 ATK)

'Dimikles.' Narnis commanded, the worm rushed at Serene Psychic Witch with incredible speed clawing her to pieces.

(Don: 6800) - (Astrid: 8000) & (Narnis: 8000) - (Drake: 7700- 7200)

'The effect of Serene Psychic Witch allows me to banish a monster and when Serene Psychic Witch is still in the Graveyard I can special summon the Banished monster.' Drake explained as his Duel Disk ejected Reinforced Human Psychic Borg and put it in his pocket.

'Now it's Warlord's turn and when Warlord destroys a monster it can attack again in a row!' Narnis roared, first the worm flattened Worm Ugly for a second time then it did another stomp on Drake.

(Don: 6800) - (Astrid: 8000) & (N: 8000) - (D: 7200- 4950- 2600)

'And you just signed your own defeat.' Drake said to Narnis as he drew his card. 'First through the effect Serene Psychic Witch the Reinforced Human Psychic Borg I banished is special summoned.' A mechanical warrior appeared clad in heavy, steel armor, his steel face showed no emotion as he drew his futuristic-looking sword. (1500 ATK)

'Then I activate two Emergency Teleport.' Drake stated as the two spell cards materialized. 'I special summon both Kamui, Hope of Gusto and Gusto Squirro both from my Deck.' First a young kid appeared he had green hair, wore a green tunic with a beige cape that was way too long, in his hand he held a staff with a blue gem on top. (200 ATK)

Next to him appeared Squirro, a small squirrel-like creature with green and white fur, he wore a tiny set of red armor on its head, back and legs. (0 ATK)

The two tiny monsters changed into green orbs. 'Burning flames for the soul of this immortal creature! Xyz summon. Rank two! Daigusto Phoenix!' Lightning struck the ground changing an area to ashes, from the smoldering ashes rose a tiny dragon-like creature with thick, orange scales over its entire body except for its belle which had green scales, it had long arms ending in sharp talons, a large black beak and green flames formed its wings and tail, two green orbs were circling around it. (1500 ATK: 2 ORU)

'But I still have my normal summon, so I use that on Gusto Vedir!' Drake continued, a hawk-like creature appeared covered in green feathers, wearing a tiny set of armor and a viking helmet. (600 ATK)

'With Gusto Vedir I can send a Gusto monster from my Deck to the Graveyard and then special summon one from my hand.' A card slipped from Drake's Deck, it was Reeze, which he quickly discarded. 'And I special summon Pilica, Descendant of Gusto!' A young girl appeared with long, green hair tied in a tail with red tips at the end, she was wearing a green tunic and beige cloak, in her hands she held a staff with a blue gem on top. (1000 ATK)

Drake closed his eyes, the green Synchro light illuminated the area.

'Black flames inside my soul, let my nightmare become a reality! Synchro summon! Take shape, Psychic Nightmare!'

The air rippled, then cracked open revealing a portal. A demonic creature stepped out, having mostly purple skin, large purple wings, long green hair, a monstrous head, many horns, a tail and sharp claws. (2400 ATK)

'Psychic Nightmare, once per main phase a random card in your hand is chosen, if I guess the type of card right it gains thousand attack points.' Drake explained, a hologram of one of Narnis' cards appeared above his head. 'Monster.' Drake stated, the image of Worm Queen appeared on the empty card, sparks of electricity appeared around Psychic Nightmare. (2400- 3400 ATK)

'Next I detach one monster from Daigusto Phoenix.' One of the orbs disappeared into the beak of the creature. (2- 1 ORU)

'A wind monster I control can now attack twice this turn and I choose Psychic Nightmare.' The demon glowed briefly as more power surged through its body.

'Then I banish Vedir and Pilica to increase the attack power of Reinforced Human Psychic Borg by five-hundred twice!' As Drake put the two cards in his pocket, electricity appeared around the futuristic sword as its power increased. (1500- 2500 ATK)

'And finally.' Drake stated as he played the last card from his hand. 'I activate Psychokenisis, I take thousand points of damage in order to destroy Worm Warlord!' Red lightning shot out from Drake's body it struck down the weird Worm and completely incinerated it.

(Don: 6800) - (Astrid: 8000) & (Narnis: 8000) - (Drake: 2600- 1600)

Drake cracked his knuckles as a grin formed on his face. 'Attack.' He simply stated, first the Reinforced Human Psychic Borg charged in quickly beheading Worm Dimikles then the Daigusto Phoenix unleashed a barrage of fireballs at the Dunmer and finally Psychic Nightmare leaped in finishing the battle with two claw swipes.

'My turn.' Don stated. 'I banish Megalosmasher X and Gene-Warped Warwolf in order to special summon Knight of the Red Lotus!' The red-haired warrior clad in pitch-black armor leaped onto the field he carried his wicked sword over his shoulder. (2100 ATK)

'With the effect of my Knight of the Red Lotus I special summon Mystery Shell Dragon from my Graveyard!' The weird Wyrm reappeared on the field again. (2000 ATK)

'Then I normal summon Rescue Rabbit!' With a squeak the cute rabbit wearing its safety helmet appeared. 'I banish Rescue Rabbit to special summon two Gene-Warped Warwolf from my Deck!'

The rabbit used its walkie-talkie to call in the rescue crane, a hole appeared in the ground and the crane dragged out the two four-armed beasts. (2000 ATK x2)

'Go!' Don roared, Astrid got quickly swarmed by the two Warwolf who clawed at her, the weird Wyrm who used its sharp hide to deal damage, then Knight of the Red Lotus finished it all off.

Derkith and Nuraree the other two members of Errol's team leaped up.

'Don't.' Errol said with a sigh, the two backed down.

'I am severely disappointed in you two.' He said to Astrid and Narnis: 'Get out of my sight. Now!' The two Duelists stumbled over their own feet as they tried to run. 'And you two.' Errol spoke this time to Don and Drake, he loosened the cloak that covered his body, Errol's body was entirely mechanical, gray and black steel, tubes were connected to his body where presumably the core that powered the body was located. He rose his massive arm, the arm opened up revealing a build-in Duel Disk.

'Ready Don?' Drake asked.

'This is it Drake, of course I'm ready, if I am to go down I will go down fighting this behemoth!' Don roared, then the signal sounded that they had to make for the Park Arena, the Dueling field they were closest to.

As soon as the gates to the park arena closed the projectors activated, drones appeared circling the arena, Don and Drake found themselves in the red corner, while Errol had taken the blue corner. These park Dueling rings were designed for tag teams, the massive Errol took both places where the Duelists could stand. Errol let out a laugh, his Duel Disk was already activated, his left eye turned green as his build-in D-Gazer activated.

(Drake: 8000) & (Don: 8000) - (Errol: 8000)

'I summon Psychic Snail!' Drake stated declaring he'd go first. Before him a blue and beige, slimy creature appeared, it had a humanoid upper body, snail's lower body and a monstrous head. (1900 ATK)

'I end my turn.' Drake stated.

Errol said nothing as a card slipped from his Duel Disk, he added it to his hand then quickly took a different card and played it, the card appeared face-down as a spell- or trap card. 'I end my turn.' The mechanical giant spoke.

'My turn.' Don drew his card. 'I summon Gene-Warped Warwolf!' He roared as his favorite monster leaped onto the field flexing its four arms. (2000 ATK)

'That's all for me.' He said ending his turn.

Errol got a new card from his Duel Disk, silently he added it to his hand then he played a different card without saying anything.

The card appeared face-down next to his other set card.

'I end my turn.'

Drake drew his card. 'I don't get you Jack.' He muttered: 'You say this guy is problematic, way of an overstatement.' He took a card from his hand: 'I release Psychic Snail in order to advance summon Reeze, Whirlwind of Gusto.'

A gust of wind swept up the ugly snail, from the center of the the tornado leaped the spear-wielding woman, her green and orange hair danced in the wind, she gracefully landed on the ground. (1900 ATK)

'Next I activate Monster Reborn!' Drake continued the holy symbol appeared piercing through the clouds, with it Psychic Snail reappeared. (1900 ATK)

'Direct attack!' Drake commanded, Psychic Snail hit Errol with a blast of psychic energy while Reeze took a leap with the help of some wind she conjured, she struck Errol with her weapon.

(Drake: 8000) & (Don: 8000) - (Errol: 8000- 6100- 4200)

'I end my turn.' Drake stated as Reeze leaped back to his side.

Errol again said nothing as he drew his card, again he added it to his hand and played a different one which appeared face-down next to his other two cards. 'I end my turn.' He stated.

Don drew his card. 'This guy doesn't take us seriously. I'm going to put an end to this right now.' He growled: 'I summon Megalosmasher X!' The ancient, fish-like dinosaur creature materialized in a giant hole filled with water. (2000 ATK)

'Next I activate Ancient Rules!' Don stated.

'I activate Dark Bribe.' Errol calmly replied as one of his three face-down cards activated. Don chuckled as he drew his extra card.

'Figures, doesn't matter because I also have Double Summon!' Don laughed as his spell card appeared on the field, moments later a second Gene-Warped Warwolf appeared. (2000 ATK)

'Go!' Don roared, first the two Warwolf leaped in clawing at the metal that made up Errol's body.

(Drake: 8000) & (Don: 8000) - (Errol: 4200- 2200- 200)

Just when the giant fish-like creature wanted to end the Duel three ladies dressed in blue robes appeared before Errol blocking the attack.

One of Errol's face-down cards that was Waboku disappeared from the field the ladies in blue disappeared with it.

'Dammit!' Drake cursed.

'What? I couldn't help it he had Waboku.' Don shrugged.

'Not that Don, he wanted us to lower his life points for something and we fell for it with open eyes.' Drake replied he suppressed the panic he felt, he needed to stay calm, this could still be salvaged. Drake didn't know exactly what Errol was planning, but his life points were low, they still had a chance.

Errol drew his card. 'I reveal Zalamander Catalyzer in my hand and than I reveal Yubel as well.' Holographic images of both cards appeared above Errol. 'Through the effect of Zalamander Catalyzer I can now discard one and special summon the other.' As Drake had expected he of course discarded the Zalamander. Black mist poured onto the field, out of it rose the demon with her blue and white hair. The third, vertical eye slowly opened as the demon's wings unfolded. (0 ATK)

'Next I normal summon Treeborn Frog.' Errol continued as a tiny golden frog with black spots and two, white wings on its back appeared. (100 ATK)

'I end my turn and I sacrifice Treeborn Frog as a cost for Yubel.' Errol explained, the demon smiled then black mist enveloped Treeborn Frog as Yubel crushed the small beast.

'Don.' Drake sounded worried: 'There is not much known about Yubel, Judai left no notes. All we know is that at one point Judai and Yubel's souls fused Yubel became a part of him. Judai Dueled remnants of Darkness for decades, some of those Duels were in plain sight and throughout those Duels Yubel was only seen maybe two or three times. Judai used Yubel when nobody could see the Duels, the few times Yubel was seen in public we only know that if we attack Yubel we take damage equal to the attack power of our monster, Yubel cannot be destroyed and Yubel's controller takes no damage.' Drake summarized what he knew and it had taken Jurgen a lot of effort alone to get that information. There was no information about Yubel in any public card database.

Drake drew his card. 'Anyway time to end this Don.' He casually added.

'Then I activate Battle Mania.' Errol stated as his last face-down card opened up.

'So all monster I currently control must battle if able.' Drake said with a chuckle. 'I summon Gusto Egul!' In a puff of green smoke the small, green eagle wearing tiny armor appeared. (100 ATK)

Drake spread his arms Egul and Reeze started to glow, a green light illuminated the sky. 'My tranquil soul, give form to my ferocious dreams! Fly free into the world of the wake! Synchro summon! Take shape, Daigusto Gulldos!' Drake chanted with a war cry the grown version of Gusto Gulldo dropped out of the sky Winda was riding on its back. (2200 ATK) 'With the effect of Daigusto Gulldos I send Reeze and Egul back into my Deck in order to destroy Yubel!'

Drake's bird took to the skies unleashing blasts of powerful wind, Yubel's screeches filled the sky as she was torn apart, slowly she dissolved in a black mist.

Errol laughed, first softly than louder and louder, suddenly the mist started to stir and finally exploded, a new creature formed a dragon with black and purplish scales, two heads and muscular limbs, the beast stood on two legs, two large wings blotted out the sun, Yubel's third, vertical eye glowed on the beast's chest. (0 ATK)

'When Yubel is destroyed by an effect other than her own Yubel - Terror Incarnate is special summoned. It has the same effects as Yubel but during my end phase all other monsters are destroyed.' Errol laughed as he explained.

'Drake.' Don hissed: 'Why'd you do that? We're in even more trouble now!'

Drake shook his head: 'There are no records of Yubel having another form, it was impossible to know this.' Drake seemed still calm, deep inside he wasn't.

'Anyway I use the effect of Psychic Snail on Daigusto Gulldos, I pay eight-hundred life points, Daigusto Gulldos can attack twice this turn and Psychic Snail cannot.' Psychic Snail glowed briefly Daigusto Gulldos got riled up.

(Drake: 8000- 7200) & (Don: 8000) - (Errol: 200)

'Psychic Snail was the only monster present when Battle Mania was activated and therefor must battle when able, which it cannot do now due to its effect, Daigusto Gulldos doesn't fall under the effects of Battle Mania since it was summoned after the card activated. So I end my turn.' Drake explained.

'A smart move.' Errol finally said something to his opponents, he drew his card. 'I do not use the effect of Treeborn Frog.' Errol said then he quickly played a card, it appeared face-down behind Yubel.

'I activate Dark Hole.' Errol played a card, the sky broke open Don and Drake watched as all monsters were slowly dragged into it including Yubel who again dissolved into a black mist. 'When Yubel - Terror Incarnate leaves the field her final form is summoned!' The black mist poured out of the Dark Hole it quickly reformed the creature now looked like the two-headed dragon but now it had eyes on its kneecaps and on its chest appeared Yubel's face, this dragon was incredibly disturbing. (0 ATK)

'Meet Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare!' Errol laughed.

'I end my turn now.' Errol said.

'Big deal Errol.' Don said as he drew his card. 'Yubel has zero attack points and we can't keep monsters on the field. We have enough spell and trap cards to defend ourselves. We simply have to wait a bit until you run out of cards.' A smug grin formed on Don's face: 'Guess you haven't thought about that!'

Errol simply stood there, no reaction and no emotion.

'So I end my...' Don stated.

Errol interrupted him, 'Currently you are counted as my opponent, Don was it?' Errol spoke: 'I activate Last Turn.' Errol's trap card opened up.

'I target Yubel, all other cards on our fields and in our hands are send to the Graveyard.' Each Duelist discarded their hands. 'Now Don special summon one monster from your Deck.' Don crossed his arms as the mighty Cosmo Queen rose behind him. (2900 ATK)

'Our monsters now do battle, during the end phase whose monster is left standing wins automatically. If we both have a monster the Duel is a draw.'

Cosmo Queen fired her magic blast at Yubel, the vertical eye glowed the magic blast disappeared. 'Yubel deals effect damage and Last Turn only prevents battle damage and when that effect damage is being dealt your monster is automatically destroyed.' Errol said, Don let out a scream as black mist shot through his body then the mist strangled the Cosmo Queen.

(Drake: 7200) & (Don: 8000- 5100) - (Errol: 200)

'You can't!' Don roared as a black mist devoured Cosmo Queen after strangling her: 'I've lost this round, not Drake! He should be allowed to continue the Duel!'

Errol laughed the television screens in the arena turned on showing the referee. 'There are no rules on how this card works on a tag-team. So we decided that the person who had the previous turn would be Errol's opponent, in this case Don. The card states that who has a monster left on the field at the of the turn wins and any other result is a draw. Don has no monsters on the field and Errol has, due to how the card works we must grand Errol the victory.' The screens turned off and the life point counters were displayed.

(Drake: X) & (Don: X) - (Errol: 200)

Jack just got the bad news through his tablet, he asked Duban to stop the van, the Dwemer was hesitant, they had a lock on Tamamo now she was in the industrial area.

'Jack, the deal was to bring Rini and Serana to safety, then go immediately to Tamamo, what gives?' Duban asked sounding slightly annoyed.

'Drake is out, him and Don were crushed by Errol.' Jack sounded defeated, Juliet placed his hand on his shoulder. 'They were great Jack, if not for Drake and his team and especially Serana and Rini we'd probably not even been here. Clair and Larry teaming up would have cost us.' Jack perked up a bit: 'You're right and Serana and Rini took out two of the Dawnguard who wanted to attack us from behind. Besides both Drake and Don took out a member of Errol's team, Errol shows up now and it's three of their team against five of ours.'

Leo was carefully scanning the area: 'We're halfway through the city area, not a lot of traffic here at the moment, I'd say we bunker down in one of the buildings.'

Jack was deep in thoughts which Duban broke: 'The deal Jack, we move on Tamamo...'

Leo rudely stopped Duban. 'It's not about you now Duban. Errol does not care about any of this, he only wants to get Jack. Drake was Jack's last line of defense he fell and Errol is coming. We go to Tamamo now and Errol will appear there, Errol doesn't care about the tournament he will kill and he will intrude even if the rules of your tournament forbid it.'

Duban seemed to calm down a bit. 'Duban.' Jack spoke: 'If Errol appears while I Duel Tamamo I'm as good as dead, I know about our deal but plans change. We will move to Tamamo after we deal with Errol.'

Duban started to walk away. 'Then the deal if off Jack, I thought you wanted to be allies, you said you saw reason in the ideals of The New Government, you wanted to sit around the table to see how we could put our ideas together and find a middle road where everyone could be happy.' He opened the back door of the van. 'At the end of the day it is all about your ideas after all.' Duban sounded disappointed as he entered the car.

The Blades said nothing as they watch Duban drive away.

'Like a kid who doesn't get his way.' Violet said while shaking her head.

'Guys.' Kailyn aid urgently, slowly from behind the building five, tall woman appeared all wearing white, fur coats.

'What is the Egyptian team doing here?' Jack wondered as he recognized them immediately, their short-haired leader appeared as last, The Blades were now surrounded.

'Kailyn!' Na'eemah called, the Wood Elf was a bit shocked that the tall lady knew her name. 'I challenge you to a Duel.' She added.

Kailyn felt four pairs of eyes from her team mates on her. 'Don't ask me why.' Kailyn shrugged she was just as surprised as the others.

Hesitantly she stepped forward, then got a look of absolute shock on her face as she took a look at Na'eemah up close.

'Na'eemah, you're...' Kailyn stammered, Na'eemah smiled as she subtly shook her head. 'Please call me Na.' Na'eemah added.

Then the signal appeared that both Duelists had to go to the city arena, the top of the skyscraper where the helicopter landing pad was repurposed as an arena.

A few minutes later both Duelists stood on their side of the field, it was eerily silent, when the signal for the start of the Duel sounded they activated their gear and drew their cards without saying anything.

(Kailyn: 8000) - (Na'eemah: 8000)

'You can start Kailyn.' Na'eemah kindly spoke.

'Before we start, how many of you are there?' Kailyn asked a smile formed on Na'eemah's face. 'You caught on quick to what race of Mer I belong to. Jack seemed not to have grasped it quite yet.'

Kailyn let out a soft chuckle: 'He doesn't, took him a while to figure out the Dwemer as well, don't be too hard of him.'

Kailyn looked over her hand: 'I activate Celestial Transformation.' She stated as the spell card flashed onto the field.

'I special summon Gellenduo from my hand but it's attack is halved and it is destroyed during the end of my turn.' Kailyn explained as the two fairies floating in their halos appeared circling around each other. (1700- 850 ATK)

'Now I normal summon Counselor Lily!' While humming a nursery rime the Tuner nurse walked onto the field. (500 ATK)

Seconds later the green light produced by a Synchro summon light up the sky. 'Guardian of the mystical forest, make your light pierce the darkness! Synchro Summon! Dream, Ancient fairy Dragon!' Kailyn chanted, her majestic Synchro appeared flying around the skyscraper, the blue, snake-like dragon landed behind Kailyn, her golden armor shining in the light that came from the many spotlights. (2100 ATK)

'With the effect of Ancient Fairy Dragon I special summon Regulus!' Kailyn shouted as the armored, lion-like beast with the sharp horn on its head leaped onto the field with a roar. (1700 ATK)

'I end my turn.' Kailyn stated.

'Kailyn.' Na'eemah spoke as she drew her card. 'Jack won't back down from fighting The New Government would he?'

Kailyn shook her head.

'Like I thought, my assessment was right. Jack's fight isn't with The New Government, they are our responsibility. Jack should focus on taking out Tamamo.'

Kailyn wasn't in the least surprised Na'eemah knew about Tamamo.

Quickly the mysterious Elf placed two card on her Duel Disk which appeared as two face-down spell- or trap cards.

'Show me what you can do Kailyn, I allow you a free shot. One chance to take me out.'

Kailyn took a step back. 'Regulus, Ancient Fairy Dragon!' She shouted, first Regulus leaped in biting Na'eemah's arm.

(Kailyn: 8000) - (Na'eemah: 8000- 6300)

Then Ancient Fairy Dragon unleashed a powerful spell on Na'eemah who was unfazed by the attack.

(Kailyn: 8000) - (Na'eemah: 6300- 4200)

'I activate Damage Condenser!' Na'eemah stated as one of her face-down cards appeared. 'I can special summon a monster from my Deck with less attack points than the damage I took by discarding one card.' Na'eemah discarded a Call of the Haunted: 'I special summon Zolga!'

In a burst of purple smoke a weird creature appeared floating in mid-air it's head was mechanical with a large half circle blade running over the top of its head. Large pointy pauldrons that were attached to the head and the rest of the body hidden underneath a purple cloak. (1700 ATK)

'Kailyn said nothing as she placed another card which appeared face-down behind her two monsters.

'I end my...' Kailyn stated.

'Not yet.' Na'eemah calmly stated as her second card opened up, a spell card named: Soul Crossing she had never heard of it.

'I can now tribute summon a monster with three tributes and I am allowed to use monsters on your side of the field as well.' Na'eemah explained. Before Kailyn could react Zolga got struck by a ray of light, the same light surrounded Na'eemah as she regained some life points per Zolga's effect.

'Kailyn. I am sorry I have to use you to demonstrate my power. I hope Jack is willing to back off after this. But it was an honor to meet one of the Mer, in the old age we never got the chance. But like the blood of the Dwemer the blood of the Aldmer was reawakened. Kailyn, next time we meet I hope we can Duel again. Then I can use my own Deck against you and that day I hope you can end victorious over me.'

Then two more pillars of light erupted from under Kailyn's monsters, the three beams of light shot into the sky. A blinding light followed illuminating the entire city in a warm, divine light. Slowly the clouds broke open as a gigantic, glowing orb descended from the heavens.

Kailyn gasped, fear filled her eyes.
