The Chosen One's Jedi Quest I: The Phantom Menace
Disclaimers: the characters don't belong to me, the story belongs to me, everything else belongs to the author and the creator of the movies.
Warnings: With this chapter it's going to jump over the race and go straight to their leaving here, while Anakin is going to be meeting personally with Yoda on arrival. But Andy is going to be staying with Padme, as the choice is made early here now. As Anakin is accepted immediately for training, as that night he reveals the truth. And to the council, though Obi-wan and Yoda have their memories back now finally of it.
The story is going to be jumping over the Sith till he gets to Coruscant, and then once back together with Yoda, who is going to be counseling him now. They're going to be testing Mace and the 10 carefully, before dropping the bomb. That Anakin and Vader are 2 separate people and Anakin just returned from the darkside. So this gives them a bigger chance at stopping him now, as Mace realizes he made a big mistake now.
This story is going to use the theoretical from my other story, as the Jedi Quest novels. So the remarks in bold print and italic are Vader himself, Anakin is in basic not bold and italicized. So this are and will be as though Anakin and Vader are two separate beings now. As the Jedi, the Naboo and everyone in the galaxy, once he clones himself, know that Vader is a separate entity to Anakin's personality entirely.
And see him as the Chosen One, but are training Anakin in secret here, as the lightsaber implication. Is Vader, and everything that involved the darkside was Vader, Anakin himself grows up to be the perfect Jedi padawan, as they all graduate 27 to 29. This chapter is going to leave out Anakin exchange with his mother, as those thoughts are Vader's, Anakin shows the maturity of a 25 year old from here as the weeks go by.
Chapter 4: The Jinn/Skywalker/Kenobi Team And Reunions II
"And like I said, though I don't agree with this, and this is a little reckless, it's the only option we have here now. You been crashing repeatedly on purpose to protect yourself from Sidious's mentor from showing up right now. But I named the twins directly after they were born, but I either lost the will to live, or, worse, Palpatine was sucking the life out of me. To bring Andy to life as Darth Vader, but you're my husband." she said and he nodded as he answered her.
"Indeed, the truth is out now finally, I told them what happened, but that key to saving you, is called force healing, it's a lightside skill, I'm learning it for the next 11 years." he said and she smiled. "So Palpatine killed the only source, by first killing his mentor, then Qui-Gon, I understand, well now, well this explains things. So the dreams started when you came home, when they stop?" she asked and he crossed his arms. "When I agreed." he said and she nodded.
"He's the source of those nightmares, he knew everything and manipulated everything, I'm not going to die, but losing you, destroyed me, we're two sides of the same whole." she said and he nodded gently. "Well you belong to me, but Andy, out of desperation, would agree, as everything I have, he wants, but I'm well liked. But I'm more like Obi-wan then Andy gives me credit for, and Ferus is his 11 year old counterpart." he said and she nodded smiling gently.
"Well at least I get to meet your team, so rather then over, we can see each other when you're 19, and this mission to the Sith home planet. So 9 to 11 months, I know everything going on, on your side of the line, but if he rigged the war. We can counter rig it, and create 3/4's of those clones to serving only the Jedi and the Alliance. Any one of them fails the spot check, in the clones, gets put down." she said and Obi-wan chuckled and nodded smiling gently then.
"Time to get the work here, but Father, it's time I told you this, but during that three years, before his turning, every time he returned planet side we were together." she said and Qui-Gon nodded smiling. "Very well, both sides knows, and your marriage is common knowledge on both sides, if that side is the resistance that the Keganites told me about now." he said and the trio nodded. "It is, our children are the leaders of the Rebellion." she said and he nodded, smiling.
"Captain, stay with the girls both tomorrow and during the race, but once the race is over, get the ship back out of town to the outskirts. Our attacker, my stalker is a Nightbrother, a Zabrak, he's a Nightbrother turned Sith and the apprentice. And to Palpatine as his Sith alias, I have Obi-wan and Master Jinn with me, they can protect me, Obi-wan's my adopted brother in law. But I married into the Skywalker/Lars clan, Cliegg Lars is my father-in-law here on Tatooine."
"So I'm perfectly safe with the them, during a return/detour trip enroute home in 10 years." she added and he nodded to the orders gently in relief. "My daughter-in-law, you're my daughter-in-law, yes alright this I can take as well now. Now that you revealed yourself Annie, so the Jedi team that came to visit, is really the adopted family now in our case. And your team quartet are the rest of the adopted family now, I can take this." Shmi said and the trio nodded smiling.
"Courageous Light, you both get shot back to now, in the case of your souls, we got him on the run and with you is Master Yoda. But if the entire Alliance gets it back, hopefully we don't have the kids getting sent here next, by that I mean the twins. Her husband Han Solo, Damon's grandson and their wookie co-pilot." Anakin said and she smiled. "The Jedi Order is combining with the Rebellion Alliance, so you need Jedi, and we're traveling together here right now."
"But before we leave Tatooine, I have to pay off Jabba first, this way Han is free to go, though Andy decides now to use Boba, we got a big problem." he said and Obi-wan nodded. "Good point, alright for 12 years after the twins are born, they're raised together. Then at 13, we separate them for individualized training." he said and they nodded. "Luke and Leia, okay I, we, named the twins that, so everything the Keganites named off to Master, is what our future is."
"Though as I also get shot back to now and Master Yoda with us after you just returned from the darkside, we get a second a chance at this and fix what went wrong. But your loyalty is only to me, Obi-wan, Qui-Gon, Mace, Master, and Bail, and only us, we're your family." Padme said and Anakin nodded. "Our team quartet is Adi, Damon and Tiana." he said and Obi-wan smiled then. "We're still partnered with Siri and Adi here now." he said and Anakin nodded smiling then.
As the radio went off. "Go ahead, Master." Qui-Gon said and he said it. "Qui-Gon, chosen I have your fellow masters, team of 5, in addition to Adi, is Damon Calrissian. Tiana Merrin, and your friend Clee Rhara, so Obi-wan's friends are with him. Anakin's new team to be, they are Ferus Olin, Darra Thel Thanis, Tru Veld, and Dane Van Perril." he said and Qui-Gon and Obi-wan smiled, as he looked at his himself and his friends then.
And in their version with smiles on their faces, as he nodded. "Thank you Master, so what have you decided." he said and he smiled. "Decided the council has, to switch to smaller creche training, to train Anakin, from his current age. To 19, you are and then Obi-wan, finishes out he does, 20 years training, and graduate at going on 28 he does now. But have living force you do, then Adi covers unifying force." he said and they nodded.
"Very well, I will get started immediately in training my youngest now, our current status is we are safely indoors now and under heavy security here, till the race." he said and Yoda nodded. "See you back on the capitol in 5 days, my young apprentice." he said and Qui-Gon nodded. "Yes Master 5 days, I will return and report in, in 5 days, may the force be with you." he said and Yoda nodded. " May it be with you, my apprentice." he said and the call ended.
"We have to be back in 5 days." he said and Panaka nodded. "Started younger then we should have, but grow up normal children we do, and then we started growing up at 14. But I'm a growing boy, as are my unit, so 4 boys one girl here, I have friends at the temple. But if Brazen is anything like Bruck, it's turned into that again, only I belong to you." Anakin said and Obi-wan chuckled. "Indeed and you always were a bottomless pit right now." Padme said with a chuckle.
"You remember our team was us, Lana and Dane, so your friends are involved, Minga took the position of being my healer here. But I'm closest to 80% of your class, including our team quartet, Bant, Garen, Reeft and Minga." he said and Obi-wan nodded as he crouched to get eye level with him and he pressed his forehead to his, and he closed his eyes then. Before pulling him into a hug and he buried his head into his shoulder. "My brother." he said into his ear then.
"I love you Obi-wan, but you never failed me, I failed you, but new generation in the team, new problems, but I'm not you, you're not father we have to find our own path together. But team trios you're my tutor first, before becoming your padawan, Father is training us both." he said and Obi-wan nodded gently. "Well Sidious wants you, he's getting you over my dead body now and I mean every word, as I just got you back." he said and Padme nodded in agreement then.
"I can't just let go, you're everything to me as my padawan, everything, the current code is wrong, I can't do this again." he said and Anakin nodded. "Back with you again, I am your padawan, I made a mistake, I learn from it and I'm moving on brother. Set aside the past to remake the future, is she still alive, Cerasi." he asked and he and Qui-Gon nodded. "And I'm praying we never get recalled back up there, once is enough now." he said and Anakin nodded.
"This is actually what I would suggest to Master Yoda now, give it till my age group are mid to late teens, then the parent steps back and your's do the rest for the following 10 years." he said and Obi-wan nodded smiling at the idea. "Eighteen years and you're turning 10 pretty soon, yes that works, as till you're a young adult to us, so still just child. I get severely overly protective with you, and my class are going to say the same." he said and Shmi smiled, realizing it then.
"Without needing to think twice Obi-wan, you chose him?" Qui-Gon asked and he nodded smiling. "Yeah he's my padawan, I choose him, so for now tutor, then in 3 years, mentor after that, he's mine, I don't want another padawan, he is my padawan." he said and Qui-Gon chuckled at that and nodded, smiling. "He'll be fine with us Shmi, I promise, I'll take care of him." he said and she nodded smiling then and Anakin knew he was right at that, he would.
"Dis is cozy." Jar-Jar said smiling and Shmi chuckled gently. "These are my friends, Mom, that's Master Jinn, this is the Queen, real name of Padme Naberrie. Her astro droid Artoo Detoo and their counterpart Jar-Jar Binks." Anakin said and she nodded. "I'm very pleased to meet all of you." she said and they nodded. "I'm Captain Dack Panaka, head of the queen's security." Panaka said and she nodded. "Nice to meet you, Captain." she said and Jar-Jar nodded.
"Hello." he said and she nodded gently. "I'm Jedi Master, Qui-Gon Jinn, your son was kind enough to offer us shelter for a few days as we get our ship repaired." he said and she nodded. "Remember how I said I could build things?" he asked and she nodded. "Come on, I'll show you 3PO." he said and the trio followed him into the bedroom. "I know this was unexpected, but take these, there is enough for a full meal, for 8 people." he said and she nodded as she took it then.
"Thank you, and I appreciate that, Annie's surprises I can take, it's Andy I'm getting worried about." she said and he smiled as she looked at her son's future father figure then. "Whoa, you, kiddo, are quite the mechanic." Panaka said as he looked around the bedroom, as he pulled the covering off of the protocol droid. "You built Threepio and from spare parts, I don't know half the preteens there are this good at mechanics!" Obi-wan said and he started laughing at that.
"Well I plan to cover him in gold plating, but Threepio is short for See Threepio." he said and the trio nodded gently. "He's wonderful." she said smiling, remembering her future husband was quite the mechanic. "You like him, huh, he's a protocol droid to help Mom, here take a look at this." he said as he plugged the second optical sensor on and turned him on. "Oh, hello, I am C-3PO, human cyborg relations, how might I serve you?" he asked gently and she smiled at that.
"He's perfect." she said gently and he said it smiling. "Oh, perfect." he said at that, Anakin hid a chuckle as he said it then. "When the storm is over, I'll show you my racer, the one we're using for the race, but rather swoopbikes, I'm building a Podracer." he said and she nodded. "I'm not sure this floor is entirely stable." they heard and Panaka hid a laugh then. "Are you normally propped up because for a human, your legs are unsteady." he said and the droid nodded.
"If I was human, I just got over an illness and I'm back on minor duty, till my doctor lets me back fully, Captain." he said and she started laughing at that. "Stand by." he said and Anakin carefully modified his memory and he looked at him then. "Master Annie, I understand you had to fix my memory, but did you had to choose now to update it." he said and she chuckled, as he looked at Artoo gently. "Hello Artoo, good to see you." he said and Artoo beeped gently then.
As Anakin then updated his, and Artoo beeped gently, as he gently beeped at Threepio and he nodded in agreement. "Indeed, Master Annie is himself again, so Master Andy is Darth Vader, Master Annie, what color are you now, if you passed through your healing?" he asked and he smiled. "I'm a very young version of Master Mace Windu's color of purple, I'm what we call a Master Guardian, control the evil in my heart, but a protector." he said and they smiled in relief.
"I reported into Mace, before you crash landed here, it happened again, Maul jumped into my vision, Brother." he said and Obi-wan nodded. "So you're back to being you again, well you can teach the youngest this, only with the love and support of friends and family. Can you pull free and recover, physically you'll be fine, emotionally, it's going to take years to get over this. It's okay, we and Master Yoda can help you heal." he said and she hugged him he closed his eyes.
"What was it you said about slavery again." she said and he nodded. "That everyday for a slave, that's a fresh one, is a new day to die, those transmitters are on a timer. So attempted escape here and they explode, I found mine, it's in my shoulder, directly below the artery. So you do it wrong it could kill, Minga has to." he said and she nodded. "But Maul, he ended up in my vision as I was building the darn thing again, Obi-wan, trying to trick me into using violence here."
"I refused now, as after finishing it, the crystals I created, instead of staying blue, they went amethyst now." he said and Obi-wan nodded smiling in relief then. "Neither good nor evil, but both at once, you just finished the transition now, you're a Master Guardian." he said and she nodded in shock. "Well I know that his, that's Palpatine's choosing us is rather then Siri knocking me back into the ship, it's you knock Andy into me and get us out, through the exhaust now."
"Before you jump to her side, and do this, but as you completed the first test and gone purple right now, this means the worst is over now." Obi-wan said and she smiled in relief then. "In rather than looking like someone beat the mustafar out of me, and the strain alone now. From fighting the addictive pull of the darkside, can kill you, I just got shoved back now. And into my youngling body now here, I passed through the wall of flames and came out stronger now."
"I am the first to go to, come back and live to tell about it now, my knowledge can help many Master Guardians in training, the knowledge of the ages." Anakin said and she nodded gently. "So rather then his having to live with what he did, he can redo everything now and stay good?" she asked and Obi-wan nodded. "That's exactly what we mean my sister, I'm staying with you and protecting you both and the twins now, mine to protect." he said and she smiled gently.
"This is going to be a long 13 years, but if we have to have some of your early missions creating a new variation for me, Darra and the guys, then we got a problem." Anakin said and he nodded. "Well after seeing the trio at the Games, Siri's not going to like this after seeing Astri and Didi there." he said and she started laughing at that. "Don't bother with the radio, it's trap, send no reply, send no transmission of any kind, Captain." Anakin said and he nodded sternly.
"Maul, the Zabrak looking for you is using it as a tracer, but rather then his trap, we just reversed it and spring the trap, just as we're leaving. Obi-wan and I did this all the time, the ending results here of us realizing that Sidious was on the observation deck. Along with Dooku, we both realized this was a trap, and sprung it, before having to do it again. After my twins were 19, and Luke just started training." he said and Panaka nodded in understanding then.
"You're 46 in your near 10 year old body, so rather then you, by that I mean Obi-wan and Qui-Gon, it's you and Obi-wan, we're going to your way rather then his and Qui-Gon's?" he said to clarify and the trio nodded sternly. "We stuck to what Father taught us, but his training was good to us, and we, before I crashed, became better men because of it." he said and he nodded. "Anakin, what's going on in there?" Shmi called out and he smiled as he answered that then.
"I just updated Threepio's memory, so he's 36 in his 9 month old body, mom." he called out and knew she nodded gently then. "This is going to be a long three days, but I know that all of this is a facade, only now my emotions are not all over the place and I can focus. Yes alright, like I said after you got promoted to the council, but we're fighting for the wrong side. And now the republic is the very evil we swore to destroy." she said and he nodded in agreement to that.
"Padme, we get 3 weeks together now and a lifetime in 10 years my love you know me and this for a fact, I studied that skill the one to save you and mom. But I'm a Master Guardian, Andy was the one with a dangerous interest in the darkside." he said gently and she nodded. "So you did as we decided go to the council, they give you the power and we first we come here. And save your mother, and then head home, and sabbatical." she said and he nodded smiling.
"No kidding, but at the moment, you may have become senator, but everyone still adores you as their current queen after we do this. But like Sola said, you give and give, but just once should you be allowed to take, we just have to tell Master the truth. That we got engaged when we were on sabbatical, and he, Obi-wan, Mace, and Ki, will give another exception here." he said and she nodded smiling at the news. "Indeed I will." Obi-wan said to that remark gently then.
"This is going to be a long night, but I remember the exchange, so one side of the conversation is you, the other is Andy, yes alright." she said and he nodded gently. "Andy has the original dialog, I have the more experienced Jedi padawan approach here. But I spent 3 years training, and those 3 years turned me so good I can pilot without crashing into anything. But what you remember with Sebulba only got worse here right now, but this is my next to last race now."
"On Tatooine now and mom already agreed, I do the driving and rather than betting against me, Watto is for me, but Sebulba is never going to win this race this time." he said and she nodded smiling at the news. "Well if Didi was betting on you to win, he's betting too high after I see what a dirty cheater this Dug really is now." Obi-wan said to that remark gently, it was 45 minutes later that they were in discussion at the dinner table as Anakin explained thing to her.
"Like Father said, the planet gets most of it's wealth from slavery, because we had a case of trying to grow plants and not easy I might add, but as slaves once you get turned into one." he said and Shmi nodded. "Father?" Panaka said smiling and Anakin nodded. "Expect that title to become permanent, I'm 47 years old Captain, but my youngest padawan." Qui-Gon said with a smile of affection at the new title Anakin gave him and Obi-wan chuckled at the remark then.
"So 13 years between padawans and Obi-wan is turning 26, Xanatos?" he asked and Qui-Gon nodded gently. "His counterpart is named Feemor, but in 35 years I had 3, you make number 4 now in truth here, but you need the most attention. Although I'm not letting your brother go straight away right now, is this in anyway connected to the mining station on Bandomeer. Same thing Annie?" he asked and he and Shmi both nodded as she explained that to him then gently.
"All slaves have a transmitter placed inside their bodies somewhere." She said and Andy nodded. "I've been working on a scanner to try and locate mine, because I think mine is marked in the same place Annie's is." he said and she finished gently. "Any attempt to escape..." she said and Andy nodded. "And they blow you up!" he said and Jar-jar said it to that. "How wude!" he said and Padme nodded in agreement as they stuck to the original dialog.
"I can't believe there's still slavery in the galaxy, the Republic's antislavery laws..." she started to say and she said it gently, but with a stern tone. "The Republic doesn't exist out here, honey, you have to understand, the Outer Rim is not under the Republic domain now. We must survive on our own." she said and Anakin said it gently to ease the sting. "So has anybody ever seen a Podrace?" he asked and she shook her head and Qui-Gon nodded gently to him then at that.
"They have Podracing on Malastare: very fast, very dangerous." he said and Anakin nodded. "I know and I just realized this, but there is only one type of person, human, that can do this. Race and come out unscathed here by the race, but my brother and I, I'm the only human, on the planet who can do it." he said and Qui-Gon nodded. "You must have Jedi reflexes if you race pods." Obi-wan said, just as Jar-Jar went to snag another piece of fruit, as Qui-Gon caught him.
"Don't do that again." he said sternly and let go, and Anakin said it carefully then. "You're a Jedi knight, aren't you, both of you are now?" he said, as Andy, and she looked at Qui-Gon then. "What makes you think that?" he said and Anakin shook his head. "Andy, this not a good time, after you walked right into the Sithlord that is the Master here. And of the one that attacked them on her planet." he said sternly and he said it then as he looked between them.
"I saw your laser sword, only Jedi's carry that kind of weapon." he said and Anakin nodded. "I have one, and I'm not a Jedi, yet, and you destroyed your's by accident, but even normals, in truth, can create one if necessary here Andy, far more powerful than a vibro-blade. That another attack by Krayne, he loses a limb or worse, and everyone here is free now, you can carry or use one now, without being a Jedi." he said in response to that remark sternly then.
And Qui-Gon nodded in agreement to that. "Perhaps I killed a Jedi and took it from him." he said and he said it bluntly. "I don't think so: No one can kill a Jedi." he said and Anakin flinched, as he saw the pain in his eyes. "Not quite, from the pain in his and Obi-wan's eyes, I would say they lost someone dear to them, who was a Jedi." he said and Obi-wan nodded gently. "Indeed, your guess is correct brother, one of Master's clan had been killed." he said and Anakin nodded.
"Your mate Father?" he asked gently and Qui-Gon nodded to him. "Yes, but as for that consideration, I wish that were so, we are human, or humanoid now. But we're not all powerful, we can be hurt, we can be killed, and a friend, who is an adult version of you. Was barely killed by blood loss, that same person that did him weakened me severely." he said and Anakin nodded. "I understand perfectly, Father." he said and Shmi nodded sternly to the news then.
"If I am to join the team, I need to know why we got your old missions suddenly coming back into the fold, before it has the team wondering in what is going on around here." he said and they both nodded. "That's the understatement of the century, just you telling Adi and Clee who got their hands on you. Said was enough to completely irritate her, Tiana and Clee, let alone Damon." Obi-wan said and Anakin nodded as he switched tones again gently as he said it then.
"Damon and Tiana, you mean we're joined with their partner pair up, us and the Gallia/Tachi team, he said our pair ups are with one or another. But I didn't think he meant that we're now a team of 5, so one of us gets called in, we got the entire squadron involved?" Qui-Gon said and he nodded to him, as he and Anakin exchanged smiles. "Yeah Mace and Master decided, after my escapade, after Siri and I grew close, to have the units in pair ups of 3 to 5 trios each.
"So on occasion, we're working with Clee or Kit, he's training Bant right now, so the teams are 4 to 5 each, only in this case. Anakin's team was dismantled, after the fight on the Sith home planet, which explains the never lets go. It was never me he meant, but Ferus, as he started too late, and with-hold the fact that Tru's lightsaber was broken. And needed more work so Anakin's own team are the trio and Dane Van Perril." he said and Qui-Gon nodded gently.
"And watch it, before you scare me out of my wits, you're still recovering emotionally from Cerasi's close call, after you decided to stay there." he said and he nodded gently. "We're not doing that again, but, and I'm praying I'm wrong right now, Sidious decides to use this. To get him brush the darkside after he took out the trader at the time, there is no way. That I am just leaving him there, if Adi gets stuck there next, he chose us." he said and Qui-Gon nodded then.
"I had a dream I was a Jedi, I came back here and freed all the slaves: Have you come to free us?" Andy asked and Anakin said it sternly. "Andy, really right now, the only way we can be free is by patience, but I carry the key, now. In order to be free, is by killing Krayne, he's a menace and once that needs to neutralized, but I think. No, I know, that the Council intend to infiltrate his operations on Nar Shadaa." he said and Obi-wan nodded to confirm that gently.
"Indeed, my girlfriend was the Jedi chosen to do so, she hasn't left yet either, but she meets you, she's going to decide on protection duty if you go undercover with her." he said and Anakin nodded gently. "Not a problem, but it's by irony that the Jedi chosen to do so, just happens to the surrogate son of his previous human raid here." he said and Qui-Gon nodded. "And to answer the question: no, I'm afraid not." he said to him then and he said it determinedly.
"I think you have, why else would you be here?" he asked and Anakin sighed. "Want to say it or should I Father, I guessed correctly, that you took a detour. Before flying here now, and with it, ended up with a tag along while doing it." he said and he nodded. "Yes and I can see there's no fooling you, Anakin, you took the correct answer, we're on our way to Coruscant. The central system in the Republic... on a very important mission." he said to him and he nodded.
"What happened exactly, if Artoo looks like he ended up with more carbon scoring exactly?" he asked and Andy nodded to that in shock. "How did you end up out here in the outer rim?" he asked and Padme explained that to him. "Our ship was damaged, and we're stranded here until we can repair it." she said and he smiled. "I can help, I can fix anything." he said and Qui-Gon smiled. "I believe you can." he said and Anakin nodded as he answered that gently.
"But first, before we can repair it, we have to win the race, but mom, if you don't mind here, after he crashed the last time, this is to be my next to last race on Tatooine." he said and she nodded. "For the last time, Annie, this and the Harvesters, and whatever else, if the sextet are at the games, and then time to focus on your training fully." she said and Qui-Gon nodded in agreement. "Yes, but first we must acquire the parts we need." he said and Jar-Jar sighed then.
"Wit no-nutten mula to trade." he said and Padme nodded. "These junk dealers must have a weakness of some kind." he said and Shmi nodded gently as she answered her. "Gambling: Everything here revolves around betting on those awful races." she said and Qui-Gon nodded gently. "Podracing: Greed can be a powerful ally, if used correctly now, Anakin, you're the more skilled of the two of you, could you…" he asked and Anakin nodded as he answered him then.
"His podracer was severely damaged in the last race, but mine now, it just needs a paint job and I got to tune the engines, but we're good to go." he said and they nodded gently. "I saw what looks like two under a tarp outside, is that it?" Panaka asked and he nodded gently to him. "I built a racer it's the fastest ever, there's a big race tomorrow on Boonta Eve. You could enter my pod." Andy said and she said it sternly then to that opinion then as she said it.
"Andrus, Watto won't let you." she said and he said it then. "Watto doesn't know I've built it, you could make him think it was yours... and get him to let me pilot it for you." he said and she said it firmly then. "I don't want you to race, it's awful, I die every time Watto makes you do it." she said and Anakin said it. "Andy, without the force, the next crash could prove fatal this time, I have more skill to get through it unscathed." he said and he said it.
"But, Mom, I love it, the prize money would more than pay for the parts they need." he said and Anakin said it."But if you crash one more time, they can't leave at all, I have to do this, I had more training in trusting my instincts here, as they both would tell me. Feel, don't think, just trust my instincts, stretch out with my feelings." he said and Qui-Gon nodded. "Indeed, 3 years training, I feel the power in you, you can do this." Obi-wan said and he nodded gently.
"Anakin, you be the pilot, just you be careful." Shmi said and Padme nodded gently then. "Your mother's right, I choose you Anakin, to be my pilot, but if this doesn't pan out. Is there anyone friendly to the Republic who can help us?" he asked and she sighed. "No." she said and he nodded. "Mom, you say the biggest problem in this universe is nobody helps each other, my good deed, no thought of reward." he said to her and she nodded gently at that remark then.
"Yes indeed, but your brother, I'm scared to death of another crash, he hasn't your skill to trust the force and do this." she said and he nodded and Padme nodded in understanding. "I'm sure Qui-Gon doesn't want to put your son in danger, we'll find some other way." she said and Shmi shook her head. "There is no other way, Master Jinn, I may not like it, but he can help you, he was meant to help you." she said and he nodded, as that finalized things then gently at that.
Ending the conversation at that, Qui-Gon, his skilled eye could see that the younger of the twins could be more powerful then. "Before we head for the shop tomorrow, I need to see your skills, because I'm taking over your training, before Master Yoda cleanses the rest of it." he said and he nodded in understanding gently. "Can you recreate this in a smaller fit to your current hand size?" he asked and Anakin nodded, as he closed his eyes then and disassembled it then.
As it changed sizes, and was put back together, as he stood up and backed up from the table and turned it on and it came on immediately and Obi-wan nodded smiling in relief then. "Yes there we go, back to being you again brother, we just deal with the traumas one at a time." he said and Anakin nodded in agreement to that opinion. "First training then at 1000 we head for the shop to finalize the agreement with Watto." he said and she and Qui-Gon nodded then.
"As I said you were killed on this mission, I raised and trained him, we been together 13 years, what you felt about me for the entire 13 years, I felt that about him. He's the son I never had, I love him with the strength of a brother and a father all rolled into one now. So Palpatine gives that remark about his watching his career with great interest, is immediate refusal. He's never getting near Anakin ever again, but as we cloned him, he gets Andy." he said and they nodded.
As Obi-wan looked into his eyes and he pressed his forehead to his and Anakin closed his eyes, and Obi-wan pushed the love he felt for him into their connection. And Qui-Gon smiled tenderly at that. 'My brother, I love you.' he heard gently and then heard Anakin's response. 'Love you too brother, my brother, you are my brother, I love you too.' he thought back to him. 'Yeah they'll be just fine together.' he thought gently to that, knowing the duo were close.
As they relaxed. "Issues in the elevator antics, but come on, first you and me and then we get the twins, Han and Chewie resorting to distraction and diversion." Anakin said and she started laughing. "And like I said, though I never taught this to Luke yet at the time, but if whatever you're walking into is a trap, then spring it, and create a distraction. But gravity shear, this just keeps getting better and better right now." he said and Panaka started laughing at that remark.
"Good point, but what 13 years does to you right now, Father, using what you taught us, I used that catch of doing something to get you arrested to get into the stronghold. Just to make contact with Siri, she's pretending to be Zora, Krayne's right hand." Anakin told him and he nodded gently. "And by setting off the security alarm by the launchpad exhaust port, to have the security, turned slaves coming to investigate before she did." Obi-wan said to that bemused.
"You better fix that com-link, after you said the translation was busted after I gave mine to Artoo." he added to that remark and he nodded and she smiled. "And again I'm not a protocol droid, but the beeps could point up or down, and then we get company arriving. Before the jokes get started after destroying the ambush in the elevator." he said and they started laughing at that remark. "Alright guys, the last 3 weeks before it is plenty." Padme said smiling at that.
"Ambush?" Shmi repeated and he nodded gently. "We were trying to get up to observation deck at the top of the tower, halfway to the closest elevator, we realized his com-link. After he crashed his fighter in a launch bay now, had broken the translation circuit. So we couldn't make heads or tails of what Artoo was trying to tell us, just as we decided it was up. We had a trio of destroyer droids arrive, and backed into it, only to realize there were 12 battle droids in it."
"But though it was crowded in there, we managed to destroy all of them pretty quickly, but as I said 13 years, growing from a boy of going on 10 to a young adult of 23. He may have graduated early, but that didn't matter to either of us, because to me he was still my padawan. Me his mentor and Jedi master, he's my star pupil, as my first student." he said and she nodded. "Well I see that the pictures he sends me have you and Qui-Gon." she said to him then gently.
"Yeah exactly, but the pictures taken are us, our partner trio: the Gallia/Tachi/Olin unit, and the Calrissian/Merrin units combined with us. And at times is the Rhara/Muln unit, that's my best friend now in truth, his name is Garen Muln. He's a skilled pilot and the padawan of one of Qui-Gon's clan and best friends, the others. Now, were the second in command of the Jedi council and Qui-Gon's soulmate Jedi Master Tahl Dantallion." he said and she nodded in understanding.
"What am I expecting here, because though mentally 46, he's trapped in his going on 10 year old body here." Qui-Gon asked and he explained that. "While we're dealing with the Zabrak, Anakin is infiltrating the droid control ship, which Artoo is pretending to have it on Auto-pilot. But Ric was teaching him Nabooian flight controls enroute back to Naboo now, this is easy and Luke did this, it's not impossible if you use the inner eye." he said and Qui-Gon nodded then.
"Three step plan, we create a distraction for him, so we can get him on board the damn thing, so he can blow the reactor from the inside." Padme said and he nodded gently. "So while Obi-wan and I have our attacker, you have the distraction of getting up to the throne room. And Jar-jar has the droid army just outside the city, because nobody can see him unless he stands up." Qui-Gon said and they both nodded and Jar-Jar nodded to the idea then gently at the news.
"You know where I am, because of my force signature, but just alerting you to the fact that I'm getting involved in the dogfight, but skilled fighter pilot now. I got the shot dead on, not realizing that Ric and his fleet are creating the distraction for me. I destroyed the reactor on the first shot now." he said and Qui-Gon nodded gently to the news. "Artoo on me here, because you're astro droid, but you to a Jedi pilot, Threepio to a senator." he said and Artoo beeped.
"Indeed, I stayed with Mistress Padme and Mistress Leia, you were with Master Annie and Master Luke, as it should be." Threepio said and he gave a gentle beep to that. "The following 13 years from now to his turning are critical, once we reach the purge things change course. And the prophecy, as the Keganites gave you and Adi is created now, as it focuses on the twins and their war with the Sith Empire, the dictatorship." Obi-wan said and he nodded gently then.
"So basically you, if I been alive, helped me raise and train him, but he only got the unifying force side of it, he needs the living force?" he said and Obi-wan nodded. "He's also a Master Guardian, he's a Guardian with Master Guardian like tendencies here. But seems that Dooku has been gone so long in 13 years, he doesn't recognize Vaapad when he sees it now. Thinking Anakin is half Sith already." he explained to him and Qui-Gon nodded sternly at the news then.
"You knew the outcome of this mission already, if I don't survive our last mission together, but we're not ending this on a sour note, though he's the new addition to the team. You are my son, he's your baby brother, in training, the future I leave behind here." he said and Obi-wan nodded. "Well do you remember after I enhanced your strength after Zan Arbor nearly killed you, he and I can give you enough energy to hold you, till we get Winna there, so there now."
"As we healed the damage done, but not too late, I thought I was too late, because I never saw you that weak ever, and instead, you had enough energy to arrest her." he said and he nodded gently to him. "And to say this again, that if you can get that weak from just blood loss, then any of us are vulnerable to attack." Anakin said and Qui-Gon nodded in understanding. "He has my training, but he needs to color coordinate here, so Adi." he said and Qui-Gon nodded then.
"I knew Anakin all his life here that to me, this is easy for us, we can relive our next 13 years together now." Obi-wan said and he nodded. "Only with me added to it now, I get it, as I see here what you saw, so to keep that Sith scum away from him. We clone him and then pretend Andy is the chosen one, I get the plan you and Master have in mind here now." he said and the duo nodded to him gently at that. "That's the plan exactly." Padme said and he nodded then.
"Alright we better plan our next move, because the next week is going to be a long one, but every time we had a fixed plan it went pear shaped, so create a back up plan." she said and the duo nodded in agreement to that as they talked over strategy, as the trio. Then enjoyed the first togetherness they had-had, since his fall, and back to being a family again then. Watching Anakin from the door that night, Obi-wan saw the boy he knew and remembered then.
As he watched him gently and in a deep sleep, as he left his arm on the door frame then. 'Yeah uncertain future, I'd rather freeze time here, then seeing what 13 years here. Of traumatizing memories does to him, my baby brother, going to be okay baby, we'll fix this. You stay you now, she'll be fine, you save Yaddle, her, Darra and Shmi.' he thought, knowing fixing the mistakes he made back then was critical now, before he relapsed and suffered a secondary crash then.
The next morning Obi-wan was with him, as he and Anakin ran their calisthenics and he took him through their Jedi training in martial arts. "Hey Anakin, how about it." he said and Anakin smiled as he turned on his lightsaber, and they started sparring then, as Padme smiled. In seeing, instead of her husband at going on 10, he was now 23 years old and full scale. In training mode as their take in training became exactly that to Panaka and Qui-Gon then.
As, watching from behind, Qui-Gon saw the true mastery in how Obi-wan had worked with Anakin and nodded smiling in approval then, as he did lightsaber training. And the match like he had been training him in sparring for 13 years now and the young boy. He was a master of Djem So now and at only going on 10 then as Qui-Gon smiled. And Obi-wan nodded smiling then with brotherly pride to him, as he relaxed, the him, before Palpatine got between them, showing.
In him was clear, as they started the first phase of their plan. "Well I see it, you did a better job then I ever could have here to see what you missed and corrected it." Qui-Gon said and he nodded gently in agreement. "Yes but issues in meditation, once he reaches a certain point, something switches over and explodes. Although I think that was Andy that told me that, then again, most going on 13 years old can't hold still in meditating." he said and Qui-Gon nodded.
"Well hopefully, we never go back." he said and he nodded as Panaka headed back for the ship, but left the hatch open, so he could see the damage and nodded. "Jeesh, they really made a mess of this thing, yeah I fix this alright, I just have to get you the parts first." he said and she nodded in relief gently. "Lord Nute, you really made a mess of things, haven't you, but you and Palpatine are facing a very strict Jedi Order here next." Obi-wan said at the memory of this.
"Honey, I need to get the deal finalized, because Andy is going to be arguing for a chance to do the pit stop to the 3rd lap here, but do that, it could kill the Pod, again." Anakin told her and she nodded to the news. "Today and tomorrow's going to be a long day now, but you I can trust right now, but your twin, Master Jinn, are you sure about this. Trusting our fate to a boy we hardly know, the queen will not approve." she said, reverting to her handmaiden stage again.
"The queen doesn't need to know." he said and she sighed. "Well, I don't approve." she said as she followed him in. "Oh boy, that argument had to have gotten heated right now." Anakin said, seeing the mess in the corner of the pile Jar-Jar barely knocked over and he nodded. "What happened exactly here, if we had a power burst, Watto, hmm?!" Anakin said and he sighed as he said it. "Temper tantrum." he said and he nodded sternly to the news as he answered him.
"And that's not appropriate, a Jedi doesn't throw temper tantrums." he said sternly and Qui-Gon nodded in agreement. "The boy tells me you want to sponsor him in the race, how can you do this, not on the Republic credits, I think." he said to him then gently. "My ship will be the entry fee." he said as Anakin saw his wife's personal transport then. "Not bad! not bad, huh, Nubian, huh?" he said and and Qui-Gon nodded gently as he answered him then at the remark then.
"It's in good order, except for the parts I need." he said and Watto nodded. "What would the boy ride, he smashed up my pod in the last race, it would take some long time to fix it." he said and Anakin nodded. "I win this and I can fix the pod, once back on the capitol, Watto." he said and he nodded. "It wasn't my fault, really: Sebulba flashed me with his vents, I actually saved the pod, mostly." Andy said and he nodded as Watto said it with a bemused smile.
"That you did, the boy's good, no doubts there, huh?" he said and Qui-Gon nodded. "I have acquired a pod, by a friend of mine, the Stargliders, the pod, based on what Dave told me. Said is the fastest ever built." he said and he nodded gently. "Very well then, you supply the pod and the entry fee... and I supply the boy, we split the winnings 50-50, I think, huh?" he said and Qui-Gon nodded, as he considered that thought as he answered him then gently at that.
"Watto, in order to get this met, you're going to have bet for me, rather then again, because without that, everyone knows I'm a padawan. What's the one rule non sensitives created when gambling against a Jedi?" he asked and Watto nodded
"If it's going to be 50-50..., then I suggest you front the cash for the entry, if we win... you keep all the winnings, minus the cost of the parts I need. And if we lose, you keep my ship, that either way, you win." he said and he nodded gently. "Deal." he said slapping his palm then gently. "Annie, head home, I will be there soon, I want to see this podracer, because if it's like everything else you upgraded, it's camouflaged." he said and Anakin nodded to the request.
"You know me, Watto, to protect the value of whatever…" he said and Watto nodded with a chuckle. "Yes, you purposely make it look like a piece of scrap metal, best finish the engines, so we can run a test flight, before you push it to full tomorrow." he said and Anakin nodded as he headed for home then gently at that. "What's the verdict, Anakin?" Obi-wan asked and he smiled. "He agreed, we're good to go." he said then and Obi-wan nodded smiling in relief then.
"Alright let's get to it." he said and he nodded as he said it then. "Come on, you never had the chance to see this for real, because you had to deal with the security. So second chance here, and I want you to meet my friends." he said and he nodded gently. "Now Jar-Jar, I mean it, keep away from the energy binders, if your hand gets caught in the beam. It'll go numb for hours, Artoo, check the power level please." he added and he beeped gently to the orders then.
