The Chosen One's Jedi Quest I: The Phantom Menace

Warnings: With this chapter it's going to jump over 20% of the return to Naboo, and go right to saving Qui-Gon, after Anakin lands back in the hanger. So from here, the story-line had Qui-Gon involved fully in Anakin's life with Obi-wan. And as he spends his entire 13 years a Jedi, as his alter ego becomes Darth Vader. So Anakin becomes the true Chosen One, Andy, Darth Vader becomes a Sith and it becomes his version.
To his heirs' war against each other, in the last chapter of the Skywalker family 60 years from then. This story is going to use the theoretical from my other story, as the Jedi Quest novels. And are as though Anakin and Vader are two separate beings. As the Jedi know that Vader is a separate entity to Anakin's personality. And see him as the Chosen One, but are training Anakin in secret here, as the lightsaber implication.
Is Vader, and everything that involved the darkside was Vader, Anakin himself grows up to be the perfect Jedi padawan, as they all graduate 27 to 29.…
Chapter 13: The Mission Begins And Close Calls IV
"Nice thinking in reminding them of the 4-piece catch of our training, but you being a just returned Master Guardian, only you know where to spot it. And get them back on the right path before they destroy themselves right now." Mace said and he nodded. "Well I learned my lesson, and I'm not having my friends destroy themselves to graduate early. But every day I see Andy delving deeper into the abyss, till he hits the ledge and takes the plunge." he said to him then.
"Old man huh, nice wording, you intended to ask permission to go see Padme, so we can settle back in with her, before the assassination attempts getting started." Obi-wan said gently and he nodded. "I figured you wouldn't mind if I told you this first, instead of going behind your back, I been seeing her for 10 months, before the assassination attempts. And we got back in with her, and made friends with her fellow senators and here we are." he said and they both nodded.
"There's the exchange Master Windu, but that's a reversal for Andy, we were trying to figure out how to explain this. And to the quartet and our parents, you, without it grounding us for two months now, but Andy never said anything. Got stuck in a force trap, and we pretended that, but mentally I switched the blaster here. And to stun at maximum, knocking her into suspended animation, in the fight here at the moment now." Tru said and Mace nodded in relief to that.
"By this point, like mom and Padme, you stuck to the nickname and I didn't mind this, so though not a little boy anymore, didn't matter, still my nickname. With close friends and family, only now, I saw Andy looking close to a crash, he's more soldier then I am right now. But, and I better explain this, the darkside, when under the influence has you seeing yourself. As the victim, turning you from good, when on the brink, to so good, you look evil to everyone else."
"Causing you to tell the truth, no matter how much it hurts right, they honestly see themselves as the victim here now, everything they did, they did for whoever. But while they see themselves as the rational, to everyone else, the addiction to the power. Is like a drug, and they're addicted to the power lust." he said and the quartet and the council nodded sternly. "So we got a fast burst of it here, no wonder you felt sick after we left." Siri said gently to him then.
"That and a 3rd degree concussion, after checking here, Winna realized I was suffering the first indications of what, if I was studying the darn things, was causing. I needed to be watched, and my powers deactivated temporarily, till I was fully recovered." he said and she nodded. "Said darn thing the holocron, you felt like you examined one then and then felt sick to your stomach." Adi said and he nodded. "The withdrawal was kicking in." he said and she nodded.
"Alright there we go, go on that right now." Obi-wan said and he nodded. "At the age of going in 20, that's the last mission where you had us as your parentals involved here. And your brothers and sisters take over, so the 4 of us are there with you, and you being my star pupil. Managed it in getting through to them, as we have 3 Master Guardians on this mission right now. And your desire to stay at our side came first." Adi said and Qui-Gon nodded in agreement then to that.
"Issues in where the love of a son to their mother or father came first, mother, I will not just leave your side, not now, not ever, I changed and became so devoted to you guys. That your approval came first and disappointing you, or my parents is knife through the heart. I will not do it, so you or graduating early, no contest, it's always going to be you now." he said and she and Qui-Gon nodded smiling and as she ran her hand through the hair at the back of his head then.
"And that's the attitude I'm looking for." Mace said smiling then gently. "Father, Masters we just caught it in time, Ferus is sending this to you through me though. But that lightsaber needs further surgery done on it, but we got it 85% working capacity." he said and the trio nodded in relief. "I got through to them after whoever sent those books to us right now, managed to pass us a message right now, but it worked right now."
"Duty to the truth snapped through, the team is okay here now, but Master, guys, the blast did some damage to his lightsaber I had to fix, I took care of it. In swapping out his crystals, but there's more work that needs to be done on it here. And I don't have my equipment with me to repair it, but as this is not a real Dark Jedi. He uses a blaster, we can switch settings, maximum stun." he said and the quartet nodded in relief.
"Taking extra precautions here, I told them we can get off easy now, and by having a fool proof plan if his. Now, goes in the middle of the fight, as the four of us are always grouped together. And there are shield traps all over the place, so his goes as he fires, I got mine and block the shot. So though knocked unconscious in whoever of us it is, we never lost anyone now, as our team is intact." he said and they and Soara nodded.
"How bad's the damage if you and Ferus had to do a case of triage?" Ry' asked him and he explained that to him. "The blast fused the circuits, and damaged the crystals, disrupting the connection between the power cell and flux aperture. After replacing the crystals, I took care of the slight boost in the recharge and compensated. And for a second time for the flux aperture, but it's got enough power for one last fight, Ry'."
"Obi-wan, and before we have to do surgery on it next after we get my analysis confirmed by Tolan." he said and he nodded. "But Obi-wan, Andy fixed the flux aperture, before we left, and they finished the recharge. And before I told Tru to adjust the flux aperture, to compensate." he said and the trio exchanged looks. "Odd, why didn't Andy tell him, if he nearly walked in on them to do that?" Soara asked and he nodded gently.
"I'm not entirely sure, but I'm going to find out, if she still goes in battle, and I got to risk that headache getting worse." he said and she nodded. "It starts getting worse I want to know right away, padawan." she said and he nodded. "Darra, let me look at your arm." he said and she exposed her lower arm and he nodded as he did a field dressing and wrapped it. "That gets worse, tell me." he said and she nodded as she hugged him tightly.
"Leader of the team in padawans, overly protective." she said smiling and he smiled and the trio chuckled at that "You're my entire world Darra, what do you expect, one girl out of the four of us, to the guys and me, you're our entire world. Our job to protect you here, but I came up with a foolproof way to head off a more then fatal injury. Omega never gained his father's force abilities, if he carries a blaster, so a fast switch on it."
"In settings and put on high should do it, though if that nailed an artery, and Winna is taking care of your injuries for a couple years, before bringing you out of it. If you're the one that got hit." he said and she nodded as she hugged him. "Well to say this now, you don't have to turn on us to save me and whoever it is. As for all we know your father had the power already, don't change, as the only way I could die is heartbreak."
"Stay yourself Annie, don't change." she said and he nodded as she pressed her forehead to his. "Thank you for the warning though, Annie, we needed to know that." Obi-wan said and he nodded."A fast debate ended with me getting them to tell you, but we got it working enough to prevent another injury. And after the blast bounced or bounces off the lightsaber and goes in the wrong direction, again." he said and he nodded to him.
"Nice thinking and thank you for telling us this, I take it the boys are telling us this through you right now, Annie?" Siri asked and he nodded to her gently. "The 3 of us never lied to you guys before, so why start now exactly, Sis?" he asked her and they smiled in fondness at that. "Indeed and we appreciate the honesty right now, tell them we'll let it go, but we need to hear this from them next, okay." Ry' said and he nodded to request.
"I'll tell them, but the blast broke off a piece of his hilt, and put enough strain on the crystals causing them to crack, I switched out his with 3 of my back ups. So the lightsaber has a faint purplish glow to the blue now, but I need to check it. That's the flux aperture and compensate for the recharge, but I'll finish the repairs. When we get back, but I told him minimum use is best till we get back." he said and they all nodded.
"Thank you for the update." Obi-wan said gently to him. "We decided though chosen, we're not ready to just separate this soon, but I punched through. In what the planet was trying to do to us, but we been together for 10 years, 6 of the 10 as team mates. That why graduate this soon, once a knight it's lonely without someone either age to talk to now, we may have gotten into the program, but no." he said and they smiled then.
"Indeed, remember Thracia and Mace's lecture to you, during Sekot and the Carver, we only get 13 to 14 years together, so enjoy our partnership while it lasts. As soon you don't have us to fall back upon." Obi-wan said and he smiled at him. "Yeah I remember and I just told them that, and they agree, we spent all our teenage lives. As team mates, why let that go." he said and the trio nodded as they ended the conversation.
"Like I said, you're the leader of the 4 of us, that you get overly protective Annie at times, my being the only girl between us, but frankly, we should have done the survival mission together. And as our mentors hide in a designated spot, and we have to rely on each other and the force to get to where they are." she said and he nodded as the quartet nodded in agreement. "Well we can fix that, after I recovered fully." he said and their parental mentors nodded gently then.
"Saying of which we can choose a designated spot and meet there, as the teams are put at different spots in the area, and we trace the route till we find each other." Ferus said and they nodded smiling. "Nice thinking, and we put ourselves to different teams, so we trace our masters too, so I'm with your team, you're with Tru's, Darra's with mine and Tru's with her's." he said and the adult quartet chuckled at the idea. "Okay that works." Tiana said to that gently.
And in agreement. "Agreed, but our team is sticking it out together, till the twins are 12, and then we meet up on Yavin IV." Damon said and he nodded gently to him. "The four of you are not as young as you used to be, but the old man is 100 years old by the time we hit Endor." he said and the quartet nodded. "Even using the darkside never compensated for his complexion, after you zapped him with his own force lightning." he said and Mace nodded to the news then.
"Much better, that sounds much better right now then what we came to believe here, as we're doing this pretense for Sidious's benefit right now. As he doesn't realize the force resurrected us from the dead and restored our powers right now." Adi said and Qui-Gon nodded smiling in agreement. "At least the team is intact, and though mom is in the force, I have you and the girls still right now." Anakin said and she nodded as he hugged her tightly and she smiled at that.
"Tru, just use what I said to you, and I can say it first and then you put your's in, as it was only by blind luck, that we switched settings, before he shot her." Anakin said gently and he nodded. "We got off easy, that's all that matters, but the chance to graduate early was screwed because of Omega and the Chancellor, we could wait another 8 years, we don't mind. But just us and Andy for a few years, before she woke up and he came back." Tru said and Anakin nodded.
"You told us there was the likely chance it could break down, and switched settings on the blaster, putting it at maximum stun. And just as his shorts out, you threw your blade up and deflected the blast, just before the pain from your concussion struck you." Siri said carefully and they all nodded to her. "Just as Andy broke through the effects of the shield trap, and got out, as I checked her and then told you, but not dead, just knocked into a coma right now Masters."
"I switched settings, he knocked her unconscious girls, Ry', she's okay!" Anakin said and the trio nodded in relief then as their parentals nodded in relief then. "There we go, alright boys, we do your new updated version to this, that exchange and with it. In knowing Anakin saved your careers, but Andy still managed to force you out now, Ferus. And the boys were heart broken your trio was dismantled, while Darra was in a coma." Mace said and the trio nodded gently.
"Yes alright Anakin you first please we need to hear the truth here, to what happened if Obi-wan double checked her and said she was knocked into a coma here. And, rather then killed by the blaster shot." Adi said and he nodded gently to her. "Knowing Andy heard the conversation between them over his lightsaber needing more work on it. I considered the possibility with us on Korriban, he was going to allow it here now."
"And of a chance early graduation to cloud it his judgement, before a debate broke out between the three of us, and I convinced them we can get off easy. As Tru and I switched settings on the blaster, I told Obi-wan and the trio there was a chance. But the guys and I were taking extra precautions, in case it did go right then. And Tru agreed with my idea, I shoved my lightsaber in place of his as it went right then."
"The blast ricocheted off my lightsaber and struck her, but fortunately the blast was at maximum stun, knocking her out. As my exhaustion and the concussion struck me right then, by luck, I saved all four of us. But I saw a gold glint enter Andy's eyes, a malicious look to them, saying he was hoping. That as a result of the trap, there was no chance of the blaster shot being deflected." he told her and they nodded in amazement.
"I take it that concussion was bad, if Obi-wan said you also collapsed on the girls and Ry'?" Kit asked and he nodded. "Yes it was Master, but to me it was never mind my own health, protecting my team was what mattered. As only by luck did I was prevent the shot from killing her, as the blaster was at maximum stun. As the shrapnel that hit her, I realized, nicked a vein, and we never saw it, before I took care of wrapping it."
"As I saw blood all over her sleeve, wrapping it after tearing a strip off my own tunic, I took care of it and Obi-wan put her into an MIC till we came home. Before the blow to the head caught up with me and I felt like I did after we stepped. That's into the water spring, like Father did after ending up in the water supply system. That you and the trio did, on Belasco." he said to her and she nodded gently as Mace nodded in agreement.
"With us on Korriban, I just realized it, the key Master, but accelerated training, code for the darkside, the darkside is faster, easier, more seductive. We decided to sabotage our acceleration, stay padawans, we stay with our mentors." he said and Yoda smiled in approval. "Passed the test of patience and honesty you have, knowing that this well could be dangerous lead you to the darkside, it could." he said and Anakin nodded.
"How serious was the damage done to his lightsaber?" Mace asked and he explained it. "The blast knocked it right out of his hand, and taking a chip the size of a credit coin off it, but after listening closely to sound it made. I realized the the blast put too much strain on the crystals and cracked them, so I switched them out. And before they recharged it, and I compensated for the power boost by adjusting the flux aperture."
"But the blast disrupted the connection and fusing and we had to make an adjustment, but all in all we got it up 95% full power and use. Before it decided to go right as Omega fired, and I thrust my lightsaber in place of his, blocked the first shot. But the second bounced off my lightsaber and hit her, but thankfully here now. Is we switched settings on his blaster from kill to stun, at maximum." he said and they nodded to him.
"She's going to be fine, but turns out that your thoughts were right, the blast hit an artery in her arm. And rather then a vein, so she's in medical recovery Winna and Minga while heal the damage. It could have been a lot worse if you never made that fast decision, we're proud of you." Kit said and he nodded. "Fast case of strategy, and upstaged him, before arresting Zan Arbor, again, I think that's why she was there."
"She was intending to go back to said experiments with genetics, and combined with Omega, he's playing the part of Ona Nobis here. So preventing it, as Master took him out and I arrested her." he said and they nodded in approval. "So you prevented her from getting her hands on one of the 8 of you by switching settings, if her lab. Now has the only anti-toxin for that neurotoxin she used already?" Adi said and he nodded gently then.
"I was the only one that knew what said neurotoxin was, so if he yanked his blaster, I had to prevent one of us from getting kidnapped, after being poisoned. And for the second time in 22 years and us this far out of reach, she could be dead by the time. We get back, I wasn't having it, making sure that instead gone, whoever was injured. And put into an MIC, before they killed her by anemia, or worse." he said and she nodded.
"That was some very quick thinking to save her life, and by the boys and yourself, Anakin, that was also very wise in telling us beforehand, that you did a repair job. And enough now it could be of use till it caved finally." Mace said gently and he nodded. "Yes Master, we decided though in the program, we want to stick together, Master. And for a while longer now, not ready to let go and separate." he said and the 11 nodded gently.
"We understand and that's fine right now." she said and he nodded. "Master with the crisis over Omega finished finally, and Zan Arbor back in jail now. That, with permission, sooner or later, he's going to decide to have us be her personal protection. With your approval, I think it's time I went to see her, she's a senator now, and we're adults now." he said and the council smiled knowingly at that as Mace answered him gently.
"Alright you can go see her, as she gets used to seeing you like this now." Mace said smiling gently and he bowed to him at that. "Eight months sooner then he expected that by the time we reached what we been together. And who knows how long now, as we got used to this now, but at this age now. It's a constant case of trouble here, and frankly I'm in no rush to graduate." he said and Mace nodded and they ended it at that.
"You think Andy was trying to get Ferus in trouble?" Adi asked and he sighed. "Frankly I'm not sure I even know him anymore Mother, really, for 10 years. Since you trained us, it's when I looked at him now, I saw myself, we were identical. In everything and now, now he's spending 70% of time with the Chancellor. And you can tell us apart, in more then just colors, but the jumpsuit." he said and Mace nodded in understanding then.
"But the day he chooses that choice, in turning on everything we are, what you trained me to be, if something happens to mom. That is the day I lost my biological family, and I'm not only an orphan, but an only child. That if he allows the darkness to warp his mind, I stayed strong, if there's a power to save lives, I use that to save her now. That's what scares me here, what's happening to him, did being around Palpatine."
"But, in truth now, did warp his thinking or was it just going to this planet, I don't know but I always had you and brother. Siri and the duo, keeping me on the straight and narrow, I stayed strong and resisted. Every time, the holocron, to Korriban, or just building my lightsaber and seeing the Zabrak." he said and they nodded gently. "We understand, but till further notice, the decision of acceleration trials is cancelled now."
"If you're not ready to let go of Obi-wan and want to wait a few more years, that's fine, as like I said pushing harder means going too fast, that's dangerous." Mace said and he nodded. "Agreed, but until I'm ready to let go of the safety net, I'm staying at Obi-wan's side." he said and they nodded. "Very well Padawan Skywalker, until you are ready to let go, you shall remain at Obi-wan's side." Adi said and he bowed gently then.
"Brother you never have to worry, though married, I'm still your baby brother, that will never change." Anakin said and he looked down with a smile as he felt his remark warm his heart. "I love you too Annie, you are my brother, I love you, the loyalty to me, you seeing what changed me and fixing it, you remember what Master said. You proved it, and that said partnership, team loyalty more then anything." he said and Anakin nodded.
"I'll be right out soon, brother, I have to talk to the council, but if you want to stay at my side that's fine, I don't mind at all, a while longer is fine, until you're ready to let go." he said and Anakin nodded. "You may go Anakin, and thank you for your report, take your time and we can do you three one by one, but send your twin in please. I'd like to hear here what he has to say here." Yarael said and he nodded as he bowed to him then.
"Hey buddy, you okay, is she okay, I told them everything here?" Anakin asked and he nodded."Your idea of switching settings, before the lightsaber shorted out worked perfectly here, Annie. She got knocked into a coma, but Winna said it's going to take 18 months to 3 years. Just to heal the damage done by the blaster, but we got off easy, but the program got cancelled right now." he said and Anakin nodded in relief then.
"Well that's a relief, we're not separating too soon right now, but…., no, no, Ferus you don't have to leave, we pulled it off, she's going to be okay." he said and he straightened. "Annie we got lucky, what if that happens again, this time in team duo's?" Ferus said gently and he sighed. "Don't go, we been together 10 years, don't let this push you into leaving." he said, gripping his arm and he looked down and they exchanged looks then gently.
"Graduation jitters is that it, you're taking a sabbatical, then coming back?" he asked and he nodded. "Stronger together then, my brother." he said and they nodded. "Stronger together always." he said in response and they went into a 3-way hug then. "I'm next, and I'll tell them, I'm taking a few years off, then coming home." he said and he nodded gently at that. "Our stories match, that's all the matters." he said and he nodded gently.
"Wait a blasted minute, didn't you catch a cold or suffer a case of mind fever 3 days in after we came home from this mission?" Tru asked and Mace covered his eyes. "He did, and it was so bad we had to sedate him, before we brought his temperature, trying to be too active too fast. Was only aggravating his condition, this was why you had to leave, he needed immediate, in medical attention." Winna said and he nodded. "Put that in boys." Mace said and they nodded.
And as they did it. "That's the reason I stayed longer right now, I wasn't leaving when my best friend still needed me, but we both were furious here. It wasn't just Darra now, or that Andy framed me here to get me out, he didn't care Anakin. His own brother, was in the hospital wing for an injury that would have him out of commission for 3 months in observation." Ferus said and he nodded as Tru gripped his arm and Anakin hugged him and he tightened his arms then.
"And this was going to be a reminder, after seeing the blaster hit Cerasi, if we had a repeater of going back there right now Qui'. But he's seeing the blast hit Cerasi's daughter, and after seeing the ricochet hit Darra, before flashing back. In during a case of delirium seeing instead of him as the victor, Krayne standing over him about to take the axe to him. Before I woke him up, he'd been in bed for 3 weeks." Damon said and he nodded gently to the news as he answered him.
"So 13 trapped in a just turned 19 year old body." he said and they nodded. "And this scared all of us out of our wits, I didn't just leave immediately I stayed for another 2 months. And then headed for my home planet, telling him, if he ever needed me, to give the call. It was 9 months later came Padme coming back into the picture here now, as a result. He was just beginning to heal and changed into Obi-wan as a 20 year old now." he said and Qui-Gon nodded gently.
"Though 20, I still see him as the little boy, we remember, just trapped in his 23 year old body now." he said and Obi-wan nodded. "Same here, though a young adult, to me, my baby brother, the boy I know would never just give up or turn to the darkside. Master was right, the boy I know Andy to be, he's gone, consumed by the darkside right now. But Annie, I have to find him, before, with his frame of mind, he kills him." he said and he and Mace nodded in agreement.
"Did anyone pay attention to titles here, mom, dad, the girls are calling Father and Uncle Damon dad, while us boys are calling you three, mother?" Anakin asked and the quintet nodded smiling. "We did, but that's raised, since toddler younglinghood, you're using the more formal title here, with you having parents already." Winna said smiling and Mace smiled. "Us in training our own species, it results in switching titles from master to parent." he said and they nodded then.
"Well the Order became an academy, that we're your legal guardian in training, but your brothers and sisters were the last generation. Before the code got updated now, and now the Order the Order is an academy for force sensitive children. And you're getting quite the education, by this, but we just have to further update training as you get older. But shall we, as continue this boys." he said and they nodded, as they picked up where they left off then gently.
Before he could answer, he grabbed his head, and Ferus caught him. "Bad headache, you need to take it easy brother." he said gently as he sat him down on the windowsill. "The pain started getting worse after we got back, whatever level it is, I think the mission. It did more damage then we thought." He said and they both nodded. "You look like you're running a fever buddy, just take it easy." Tru said and Ferus nodded in agreement.
"Hospital wing, Winna needs to double check, but the quartet find out they're not going to like this, that blow to head could have caused a mind fever." he said and Anakin nodded as they headed for the infirmary. "What's wrong now guys." Minga asked and Ferus sighed. "Had a dizzy spell bad enough he nearly collapsed on us, I think this was a third degree concussion, Minga, Winna." he said and they nodded, as she checked him.
As he got under the mental scanner, and her eyes narrowed. "Minga go to tell the council, our unsub gave him a 3rd degree concussion, we're looking at possible mind fever. He's on temple rest for the next 6 weeks, but to make sure his powers don't go crazy, baby, it's a neural inhibitor, because the last time we saw you looking like this. The delirium chucked the monitor across the room, after Krayne." she said and he nodded.
"Gods, my head feels like someone hit with me a shockball bat." he said and she nodded. "Well you're grounded mister, no leaving the temple, you need to be where we can see you." she said and he nodded. "Well this is less dangerous, then Father's case right now." he said and she nodded."I know that, but still best keep an eye on you, so your teams are spotting shifts here." she said and he nodded with a sigh as the duo stuck close.
"We heard that, guys." Tiana said and Tru nodded. "Mom, the blow to the head is bad enough we're looking at 3rd, borderline 4th degree concussion here." he said and she and Damon nodded sternly. "And who do we have to thank for this, of not leaving immediately, if you were hurt. By that I mean both you and my daughter, the mission should have been scrapped here right now." Damon asked sternly and they nodded then.
"Wasn't us, I talked them into telling you the truth immediately, but if I have to guess the trip to Korriban over ruled Andy's common sense." Anakin said and he nodded. "Well like she said, you're on temple rest son, you need to be where the 9 of us can see you. In case you black out now and stay off the landing pad, stay indoors, because you suffer a black out out there, you could fall over the railing." he said and Anakin nodded.
"And that's the first real head injury I took, but just imagine my doing a repeater of Obi-wan's case with Bruck and Xanatos. And I'm going from mission to mission, till the lake lays me out." he said and they nodded nodded. "Yes and you keep this up you're going to give us a coronary, you're not indestructible, young man. So that's enough of that already, baby." Clee said bemused and Garen crossed his arms with a bemused smile.
"Well I can work on my lightsabers, with the guys at my side, but I've been banned from flying or lightsaber practice for 3 months." he said and they nodded in agreement. "Saying of which, we better double your diagnosis on my lightsaber at the moment. Because if you're right, and we know his desire for getting out of your shadow just over ruled his common sense." Tru said and Ferus nodded in agreement, as Dane nodded.
"Switch over, I'm not leaving just yet, but rather, until he's fully recovered, I'm stakying for a few months, but he confided in me. "Fair enough, I know what's wrong here in why you made that choice here, but graduation jitters son, but you're welcome to come home anytime you want to." Damon said and he nodded as he hugged them. "Are my family okay?" Anakin asked and they nodded. "My unit just got back from Tatooine, she and Cliegg are just fine, the harvest is in full bloom here, with you fixing his system, Owen's engaged right now."
"And dating a local girl from Anchorhead right now, everything's fine, and Dave and Leia are checking in periodically with them." Clee said and he smiled. "My unit are getting back together with the senator, so things are right on schedule. But the vibro-axe just got thrown into the tree here, time's up, we're joining with the alliance." he said and she smiled. "He's never getting his hands on you." Damon said sternly to that.
"Guys, I think we better label off on that lightsaber, confirm my suspicions right now, because my changing out your crystals just saved us. And from a blow out right now, we get off easy, as our stories match right now. Dad's happy I stuck to being a true padawan now, we never been happier. As I'm everything my parents wanted me to become, and Owen has never been happier to know me for me." he said and they smiled.
"As are we, there's the you we know, but the timer is up, so your brothers and sisters are taking over from here. But we're here if you guys need us, we promise, Annie, boys." she said and they nodded. "Well we had 10 good years with you involved, it's time for us to start without the parental safety net. And big brother and sister take over now, we'll be okay, but yeah stick to the nickname." he said and the duo nodded, smiling.
As they hugged him tightly at that remark then as he closed his eyes tightly, knowing that cemented it for him, keep things as is in his eyes. "We understand, you'd rather still hold onto that, the little boy in you with your parents and aunts and uncles. Sticking with the cub nickname with us and your family, let alone the senator, that's fine. Nothing's changed, and nothing ever will now." Damon said and he nodded as the trio smiled gently.
"Best go together though actually, we need to confirm your theory." Ferus said and he nodded they headed for Tolan Ling. "Master, we need a fast confirmation to what Annie told us was the problem on my lightsaber." he said and Tolan nodded as he took it and checked it over. "You had your theory correct Annie, the damage done is exactly as you said, in addition to the crystals needing to be replaced, it needed an adjustment."
"To the wiring and the flux aperture, to compensate for the power boost right now, after you fixed it, boys, nice repair job, and maneuver as Omega is an NFS, Annie." he said and they nodded."Going over the repairs, I heard a droning noise coming from the middle of it, switched crystals and it started humming." he said and Tolan nodded. "I see, well droning means the blow to them caused them to crack and lose their focus."
"Humming means the focus is back in place, and their back to their focusing, but what you considered you read it out exactly, after recharging it. That you needed to compensate for the boost by adjustment of the flux aperture. Or the repairs won't hold up now, but that decision to check the lightsaber was a perfect one now. As was checking the crystals to see if they're fractured or not." he said and Anakin nodded then.
"The adjustment was exactly as you said here Annie, the wire fusing needed a slight adjustment." he said and Anakin crossed his arms. "Andy fixed the flux aperture, but after the guys and I recharged it, I reminded Tru the light adjustment to the flux aperture. To compensate for the boost, after swapping crystals." he said and he nodded. "That was a good thing you did, because it got you up 90%." he said and they exchanged looks then.
"So my doing and finishing all the repairs they were named off exactly as I said, but Andy fixed the flux aperture, before we left. Before Ferus recharged the cell, till I reminded Tru, that he had to adjust the flux aperture. Just to compensate for the boosted power." he said and Tolan nodded."I see where you're going with this, but he could have forgot, and that was a good idea in crystals." he said gently and he nodded.
"If that was a good idea, and if he was listening in on our conversation, then why didn't Andy remind me of this. Reminding me here to check the crystals, he saw my hilt damaged, after were on the ship. But Annie immediately checked after Andy fixed the flux aperture, before we left. As Annie reminded me to do that and we took care of it, before going back into battle." Tru said and Anakin and Ferus nodded in agreement then.
"Yeah that's strange alright, he either forgot to tell you, or worse, till I did it for him and made sure to compensate for the power boost right now." Anakin said and Ferus nodded. "Yeah you did what he forgot to do, and came up with a fool proof way to prevent a loss, but she's in a coma, I'm thinking of sabbatical. So just you of the 4 of us now, but I need a few years break, then we'll finish out together guys, I get it."
"But this is a different version to Obi-wan's decision, I'll keep in touch, I promise, just give the word when you need me, I'll return immediately." he said and the duo nodded. "Yeah just us for now, but I can't help but think his personality swap is because he's been hanging around with Palpatine too much. If I didn't know any better, Palpatine is a grandfatherly version to Xanatos." he said and Qui-Gon nodded as Obi-wan winced then.
"Yeah point made son, point made, if he never thought you'd say that about him, he never saw this coming, you're treating him like outsider, the sadistic leader, but Qui' like your father. So that says everything that needs to be said, you're a Jedi, for life." Mace said and he nodded gently. "And nice throw in there at the moment, deciding to remind me that you'd never leave me, after my making that mistake with Father, never again." Obi-wan said and they nodded.
"Ouch, that's a good barb there, that consideration here of that scum is a grandfatherly version to my ex apprentice, baby." Qui-Gon said gently at that remark. "And there's a title we never hear normally from the paternal members in us boy cubs." Dane said and he looked down smiling gently. "That's because even at our age to the next one up, we're younglings, still their babies and in us human Jedi, brother." Anakin said and he nodded as Mace smiled at that.
"If mom is still alive by then, it's no matter how old I get, still her baby boy, my only family, that's before I became a Jedi was her, but my future immediate family. Said are the Lars's, the Naberries, Padme and of course my team quartet, before my babies are born. The next age group coming in next, you'll be 29 by the time they hit their late teens." he explained and the younglings nodded smiling. "Nice, our baby brothers and sisters." his friend said smiling then.
"Nice wording Annie, that works in planning the twins and their class, before baby twins are born and come in along with their own class." Kit said smiling at that. "As for this right now, I reminded you we have to double case, but you're right, for 8 years you guys were identical. And suddenly at 17 we can start telling you apart now, as, all because of Palpatine's influence. It's like you I'm not liking this one bit, but a stunt like this, he's facing expulsion here for this."
"Leaving you here at the academy, as he goes back to Tatooine, but you stay here, as he leaves finally, but everything you have Andy wants, including Padme. Being Obi-wan's star pupil, our trust and high esteem and of course, the love of the woman you both love. And you're the one who's father of her children, counting down the days till you're holding the twins." Mace said and he nodded in agreement. "Yeah I know, I changed as I grew up." he said and they nodded.
"Changed for the better, in fact you know we trust you, as you came up with a fool proof plan here to save us, as for said lightsaber." he said and Anakin nodded. "Uh oh." the rest of their clan said and he nodded. "Yeah uh oh alright, at this point, the same thought crossed all our minds by this point, just why wouldn't he remind me. Of this after he fixed the flux aperture, or was this to force Ferus out as we got lucky right now at the time, by Annie's intervention."
"Of prevention in preventing it from breaking down and putting himself next to them, next to me and close and though knowing he had a concussion. He had to protect us now, and after my lightsaber goes, he deflected the first shot now. But the second ricocheted off the lightsaber and hit Darra, before his headache hit him, as he collapsed as well. As we headed for home now, but that's what happened here, she's alive, but he's healing." Tru said and they nodded gently then.
"Further update this, as I told him 100 times to watch the construction, you do it too fast there could be an overloaded circuit. And secondly of the two of you, only you got the histories between us, Zan Arbor and Xanatos. Because you're a Master guardian, you're a cadet in training with you a just graduated high school cadet now. Enter college now and the time is coming up soon, you have to leave the nest." Mace said and he nodded gently to the orders.
"Alright time for the reveal here right now, as a result, so I'm pretending to be Andy for this one, Ferus, before this has both of you accusing him of attempted murder. And only by luck did I save all four of us as I lay the boom, just in a different variation to your remark." Anakin said and he nodded sternly in agreement then. "Tru!" he called out and he looked at him. "Do you know anything yet?" he asked and Tru shook his head, without meeting his gaze fully then.
"I haven't seen much of you lately since we been back." he said gently then. "I know." he said and Andy sighed. "I'm sorry about the warning." he said and Tru said it bluntly then. "I deserved it." he said and Andy said it gently. "Why did you go to Ferus to fix your lightsaber instead of me, I would have done a better job on it." he said and Anakin said that from behind him. "Without over loading it again?" he asked and Andy flinched at that.
"After 5 duds in lightsabers, how do we know you try to fix it, and the crystal short circuits and kills her by the power cell?" he asked him sternly and he paled at that, in never considering that thought. "You always rushed the construction to these, something Mace told us never to do, Tolan with him right now. But I spotted the problem, and confronted them, and till I got them to come forward about it, as we got off lightly."
"After a fast debate between us right now, I convinced them, coming forward, before it goes in the fight could prevent said censure, because they told their mentors. And I told Obi-wan, so we're off the hook, but the blast damaged the crystals. And disrupted the flow from the power cell the flux aperture. after fixing it, I said it. We were going to have to run further surgery on it after we got back, and only by luck is she fine."
"And anyway I gave it enough of a fix to prevent it from going till the very end of the fight, I found the problem, and the crystals were cracked, and I replaced them." he said and Andy nodded in shock to that news. "And I never went to Ferus, he came to me, before Annie double checked and finished the repair job. And enough we can fix the damage done when we come home right now." Tru said sternly and then said it to him.
"Annie talked me into telling my master and he let me off with a warning for not telling him sooner, it needed more work on it." he said and Andy said it then. "You were thinking about the mission, we were all thinking about the mission." he said and Anakin nodded. "Yeah, before self preservation kicked in here and we decided on a fast switch around to save her right now." he said to him sternly and Tru nodded in agreement then.
"We did our best, guys and Omega is dead." he said, trying to convince him. "Omega is the son of Father's ex apprentice, before Obi-wan Andy, and what Obi-wan now. Never got the chance to head off with Xanatos resulted in Omega's death by his hands. And don't say this is right, that is totally cold blooded, that for a necessary evil here. To kill a living being without a shred of remorse." he said sternly and they heard a gulp at that.
At that opinion and before Anakin crossed his arms. "We all thought wrong, Andy, and as a result of a very close call, Darra is in a coma!" Tru said in annoyance then sternly as they walked away from him then, before he turned to see Ferus. "Ferus." he said and he nodded. "Andy, I take it you heard." he said and Andy looked at him. "Heard what exactly?" he asked him and he sighed. "I'm taking a sabbatical." he said and he looked at him in shock.
"What, why?!" he asked in shock at that. " It's my fault that Darra was nearly killed." he said and he looked at him in disbelief. "That's not true, you couldn't have known…." he started to say and Ferus shook his head as he answered him then. "But I did, I did know, I knew that Tru's lightsaber needed more work done on it. I offered to help him fix it, till your brother finished the repair job, but I did not tell his mentor or my own."
"His lightsaber failed in battle and only by blind luck, did we have the blaster set on maximum stun, as Darra move in front of me. And Annie got his lightsaber in the way of the blast and the ricochet hit her, knocking her into a coma." he said and Andy said it. "But you thought you fixed it." he said and Ferus's blue eyes narrowed. "You knew, you knew Tru's lightsaber was broken, you knew I tried to fix it in secret, you must have."
"Now, seen me repairing it." he said and Andy said it. "I didn't say that." he said and Ferus nodded. "No you didn't, but there are only 2 of us here, Andy, you don't have to lie."he said and he sighed. "When we got back, Annie and I took the lightsaber to Tolan Ling, he told me exactly as Annie said. That the blast damaged the crystals and that-that the fusing between the power cell and the flux aperture needed an adjustment."
"Nothing major, Tru might have noticed that, except that in battle, the power drains faster then normal." he said and Andy said it firmly. "I don't see why you're telling me this." he said and Anakin said it from behind him. "Because you fixed the flux aperture before we left for the mission. And you would have known it needed to be rechecked after the power cell boost." he said sternly and he looked between the three of them then.
"You never came to me." he said in response and Anakin nodded. "That's funny." he said and Tru nodded in agreement. "Yeah that's funny alright, shouldn't you have said, 'but I didn't know it was broken!'." he said and Andy said it then. "You're trying to trap me, all three of you are, Tru, I would never do anything to put you in a position…" he started to say and Anakin crossed his arms as he answered him as they exchanged furious looks at that.
"You wouldn't huh, if you wouldn't then you would have reminded him to make the adjustment or change the crystals, because hearing the crystals. I realized the strain from the blast cracked them, as I switched them out, adjusted the output. And finished the repairs, before we did some surgery on that lightsaber. We got off with a warning, but still, it's bitter sweet, she's in a coma, and he's taking a sabbatical."
"But I saw how you had a slight gold glint in your eyes, a malicious look, with you trapped in that shield trap. That there was a chance it could go during the fight, that you knew I knew it needed more work. And that I couldn't get in front of her in time to save her, Tru, Ferus, that there it was now. You would want me to get blamed for it shorting out or exploding, even if it. Now, meant putting the entire team at risk till one of us is killed." he said and Andy swallowed hard as he said it quickly to that quickly at that. "That's not fair!" he said in denial to that and Anakin sighed as he looked at him sadly at that remark.
And Obi-wan crossed his arms at that reveal, sadly and with disappointed resignation as he said it to him, as he felt his heart breaking at what they did. "And suddenly I realized-yes, Andy could have done that." he said and the council crossed their arms. "You're looking at this all wrong." he said quickly and Anakin and Tru shook their heads to that. "I don't think so, I think I truly am seeing you for the first time."he said, as he unloaded it to him then finally.
"Do you even see yourself through my eyes anymore here, from the time we were younglings starting Jedi training, from the time Obi-wan found us. The council and the trio raised us, I know we came in late for training, but still. When I looked at you, I felt like I was looking at a mirror, for 8 years from 9 to 17. It was like looking into a mirror, and forgetting until the lightsaber was on, who of us was who here now."
"As we were identical in everything here now, aside from colors, we were completely identical, identical twins. But matching clothes, boot size, lightsabers, since we were younglings, and suddenly at 17 to now. It's you start dressing in this jumpsuit, you're spending 70% of your time right now. And when not on mission at the arena, talking to Palpatine, what's happened to you." he said, feeling the pain at his change grow in him.
"You always had a dangerous interest in the darkside, did that scum get to you or something, because my brother would speak up immediately. What's happened to you exactly, Andy, did being on that planet take away the you I know. Or did being around Palpatine do it." he asked and he turned away from him, as he wiped his face. "Because this continues and I really am an only child, instead of a twin." he said, trying to control it.
As the duo felt their hearts tear at that remark, knowing what this was doing to him, he loved his brother, but right now, the changes after 10 years of Jedi training. The changes, instead of getting better, had actually gotten worse in his eyes, and he felt like Andy was abandoning him. "I think that says it all, but the you he knows would never pull a stunt like this right now, where is the you he knows exactly." Ferus said and Anakin nodded, his eyes broken.
As Ferus wrapped his arms around him in a hug and he clung to him at that. "Darra wake up, please wake up." they heard and Siri jerked at that. 'Gods why didn't we end the mission sooner then this, his idea worked yes, but this is killing him as his quartet is falling apart.' Obi-wan thought sighing, as Ferus pressed his forehead to his and he closed his eyes then. As he tightened his connection to him, as he relaxed then and he looked at Andy with his eyes heavy.
As Tru nodded, as his eyes hardened, as he said it. "That's my opinion as well, I wondered here when we got back I wondered if you knew. I saw how you froze in the tomb, but not my friend, my friend would never do that. But then I thought about you feel about Ferus, how angry you have been, about not being picked first. You would want him to get in trouble, even if it meant exposing me." he said and Andy quickly said it in shock.
"That's not fair." he said at that remark and Anakin sighed as Tru said it for him then. "And suddenly I realized-yes, Andy could have done that." he said and the council crossed their arms at that. "You're looking at this all wrong." Andy said quickly and Anakin and Tru shook their heads to that. "I don't think so, I think I truly am seeing you for the first time." he said sadly, as he turned away from him and as he sighed as he looked at Ferus gently then
"See you outside Ferus, come on Tru." he said and he nodded as they walked away then at that. "Do you see what you have done!" he snapped at Ferus and he nodded. "Yes I see what I have done, but do you?" he asked him and sighed. "I'm afraid for you, you think admitting you're wrong makes you open to attack." he said and Andy said it. "That's not true, I think you should save your concerns for yourself." he said and Ferus flinched,
And at that remark. "If the Jedi send for me, I will return Andy, I promise you that." he said and ended it at that as he too walked away from him, before Obi-wan came out and did the rest of it with it. "Andy, I been looking for you." he said and Andy nodded. "Do you need me?" he asked him then he shook his head. "No I…, Andy is something wrong?" he asked and he sighed. "Ferus is taking a sabbatical." he said to him and he sighed at that news.
"I was afraid he would do something…, like that, he feels Darra got hurt, so strongly." he said and Andy sighed. "The legacy of this mission is a great enemy has been defeated, I saw him go down." he said and Obi-wan said it. "That is not an act that should bring you satisfaction, young padawan, I took a life." he said to that sternly then. "It was done as a last resort, and it rid the galaxy of a great evil, therefore it was a necessary."
"And right." he said and Obi-wan said it firmly then. "Necessary yes, but right, that is not word to throw around lightly, we can not say it is right, we can only do our best." he said and Andy sighed."As you do padawan, as you never give less then your best, I'm proud of the Jedi that you become." he said and Andy nodded. "Thank you Master." he said humbly and Obi-wan sighed gently at that as he went further at that remark then gently.
"And I wanted to tell you that the Jedi council has decided they won't speed up the trials for padawans, your knighthood will have to wait a longer. But when the time is right, you'll take the trials, and I have, no doubt you'll astound us all. Until then, we will work together, there is so much left to do and I'm grateful to have you at my side. For a little longer…, Andy are you alright?" he asked and Andy nodded gently at that then.
