Wow, it has been a while since I wrote this! Well after watching the new film, I figured why not start this up again. However, I may add in some extra lore detail from the ballad of songbirds and snakes. I think I have determine how long this story will be. Probably between 20-30 chapters. That I will write just for fun! So here's the long waited chapter… enjoy!

Finnick Jr POV

A week has passed since Katniss called Snow and did a masterpiece at the Capitol. It was a pure theater performance in my humble opinion. The war room meeting has been intense but no one in their right mind wants to mess with Green Arrow. She gives them the death glare to silence them although Coin tries to debate but it always goes for nought. Willow glares at the computer hiding her humor.

However, for today, I managed to get a day off to spend time with my family by fishing. Mom always said dad was an expert fisherman so I hope I can learn his technique. I am at the pond waiting for my parents and watching the clouds. Today is an exciting moment because this is the first time I get to spend time with them together, especially dad. I have heard many stories about him from Mom, Katniss, Johanna, and Haymitch. However it is finally time to experience the man for myself.

I look up and see them arriving. "Finally you made it! Did you two get lost?" Dad shook his head, "Nah we just occupy ourselves with other manners but a promise is a promise so here we are. Now JR are you a great fisherman?" I look down and shake my head and he laughs "No sweat kiddo because we all can improve and start something new, even me!" Mom goes to take out the supplies ``So JR, what is your whole name? I assume JR means junior right?"

I take out the fishing rod and bait as I begin fishing. Oh, how I wish to inform mom the truth but I don't want to risk my existence and who knew she would figure me out. Johanna said mom changed when dad died but how much remains a mystery to me. I look at her then dad touches her shoulder, "Annie stop hassling the boy. Perhaps that is all he can tell us without risking his identity. JR is from the future and probably not born yet since he looks to be around Katniss' age." "I know Finnick but…" Dad smiles and kisses her, "Then don't sweat it. Does he look familiar? Yes, but is it of our concern at the moment? Nope! So let's enjoy the day and fish! Let JR get comfortable and if he wants to tell us more about himself then he will. Hell I bet he doesn't know what it's like to have a normal simple life." I grin because that is the truth. Ever since Androids struck earth my world hasn't been the same. Even after their defeat, I soon became Speedy joining Katniss and company in the new herotic era as Haymitch likes to call it.

Mom nods and smiles then hugs me."Annie, it's fine and one day I will share more with you. Is it okay if we can be friends? I am from district 4 and my favorite food is shrimp." Mom looked at dad, "See…" "Enough Finnick…" Yep this is definitely going to be quite a day indeed for the Odair family.

Willow POV

I am in the 13 lab with Beetee finishing setting up Arrowcave and spending time with him while he upgrades the security network. After dad died and mom went missing, me and my brother, Rye, were taken into Haymitch's care. He set up Beetee to be our babysitter and tutor. Clearly I pick up a lot more to the point I can breeze calculus at age 10. Beetee is like an uncle to me who truly taught me much of what I know. I knew I wouldn't be a great fighter like Finnick and Rye. It would be up to us should D-Day fail. Therefore even in the midst of peace and this new herotic era, the boys work on brawns and I work on brains.

Beetee looks at me, "Looks like everything is ready, you just need to press a button." I sigh and swing on the chair as he takes his glasses off "Willow what's wrong? You have something on your mind." "Yes, it's my dad. I hate when he is in such a state and mom, well her younger self is doing very little." Beetle cleans his glasses "From my knowledge, your parents have a complicated relationship. From my observation, Katniss isn't good at coping and honestly there is not much she can do until Peeta is more stable where he won't kill her. He nearly struck her to death and would have succeeded if Haymitch wasn't there." "There is something that must be done…" "Trust the doctors to help him. The fact you are here, love did find a way so be patient Willow." "Beetee, he doesn't know about me and honestly this is painful. I get why mom is the way she is." "Willow, be strong and don't worry your parents will survive this and become stronger. Just have some hope and faith."

She nods and he smiles. Felicity informs them that the arrow cave is ready for installation. Willow contacts the others to come by in an hour.

An hour later, the others arrive and are excited to see the new cave that is now that area is established. They are excited to check it out. As they enter they see the scenery is green with bright lights everywhere. There is a training section and simulator room. Doors that lead to residence as everyone settles in. It's not the same arrow cave from home but it's portable enough to get a similar look.

Mom approaches me "Willow, you did a good job I am proud." I grin and nod my head "Thanks!" It's hard not to call her mom but me and Rye are not born and revealing that I am daughter of the mockingjay and Peeta Mellark can have some complications. I do sneak in time to watch dad in the hospital. I didn't tell mom because it's a lot to handle. No wonder why her present-self avoids seeing dad. It's heartbreaking indeed! Speaking of mom's present-self she walks to me "Can you make some simulation for hunting and my archery skills? I heard that you are adept with technology like Beetee." She is very different from my mother without the hardness and extra trauma that the past several years inflicted upon her. Even her eyes hold some resemblance of innocents despite being in the games twice and now this rebellion. Knowing the fate of Katniss Everdeen is very heartbreaking and I look at my mother before she loses dad for good and then some.

I blush and nod "Actually, Katniss the simulation is already installed but I can reduce the levels so you can use it more efficiently. You are not at Arrow's level yet." I wink at Mom as I type on the computer. Present Katniss frowns "Any reason why you go by Green Arrow not Mockingjay anymore." Mom sighs as she rubs her head "That's a story for another time." Then present Katniss and her friend Gale go to try out the simulation for a few minutes and get the hang of it. Soon everyone else tries their hand at the simulation as I grab Mom and pull her aside.

"Mom, you're not going to be able to hide that forever you know." She looks ahead and smiles "I will try and I know it's hard not to acknowledge me but I warn you before we go back to Willow. Too much change will impact the timeline. Even at yours, Rye, and Finnick's existence." I cross my arms "I know the risk but if we can create a better future then perhaps while we are on our mission we can make things better you know." "Always hopeful just like your father. Speaking of which, avoid him until he is much better. I don't want him to attack you." "Mom, I can handle myself and I am being careful. Does Haymitch know about us and Finnick?" "Almost but I give him information when necessary. I suspect Beetee figured it out on his own." I nod "Yep!" "Then just keep it between them and Johanna but no one else."

Peeta's POV

A few days later, I am back at the hospital going through my treatments as usual. Until I get a visitor. No, it wasn't Delly as she is busy today. I won't be Johanna since she managed to evade the hospital but must return at night. Instead I get this future girl named Willow. I blink as I look at her carefully. Her appearance almost reminds of Katniss but the hair and eyes. I wonder why she decided to come see all of a sudden.

"If that mutt brought you to me for some petty reason it's not necessary. I know she is a piece of work. I bet even her future-self drives you crazy." The girl sits down with a board game at hand "Yes and extremely complicated but is one that will risk her life for those she loves. I can't tell you how many times she nearly died saving me, my brother, JR, Rory, and the others." I look at the girl "What's your name again? Why are you here?" She grins "I am Willow and I came here to play checkers with you. I heard you like board games so I figure why not. Plus this gives us a chance to know each other ain't so Peeta?"

I blink as she sits down preparing the game. I do like playing checkers. It was my favorite board game with dad. Sometimes kept me calm when things got hard with mom. I shake my head to remove myself from the bad memories and focus my attention on the girl before me. Something is strange about her that I can't place. She claps her hands "Alright your move!"

I make my move and remain quiet as she makes hers. This continued on for 10 minutes until she broke the silence. "Peeta, I am sorry for what happened to you. Unfortunately nothing can be said or done to reverse anything but I want to help you heal, get to know you, and maybe become friends." She smiles as I sigh while moving my piece. "I don't know what you can do? Will I ever get better?" Willow nods "Peeta, in my world you are a hero! You saved me and my brother when we were young. You helped take out one of the strongest androids! Now there is a monument at 12 honoring you. So you won't always be like this but much more!"

I look into her eyes and there I can see the color that looks like mine. But I feel safe and secure. Maybe there is a chance for me. I look at Willow "Am I alive?" She moved her piece frowning "No, you died while taking out 16. One of Katniss' and mine's goals is to change things so your survival is guaranteed." I nod and smile "Thank you Willow for being honest. Can you come by next time so we can play again. Delly isn't good at checkers." She beams while nodding her head "Yes!" At least I know my fate for all its worth but I don't like the fact that I died. How did these androids come to be that wreak havoc all around the world. How did I manage to defeat this 16? Well I know today isn't the day I will get my answers and discussing the future is a sensitive subject to the girl in front of me. Perhaps another time she can answer my question but for now I make my final move and grin "I win!" She looks and frowns "Aww man! Another round!" I laugh "Sure.."

- Yes but it will be an while because keeping their identity secret for most part is important.

2. Why did Future Katniss become Green Arrow?

- After Peeta's death, something happen to her that cause her to shed away Mockingjay title (one that she never chose to have) and don the title of Green Arrow. Yes, she is aware of the legend of Oliver Queen that will be reveal later.

3. What parts of ballad & snakes will be imply here?

- That's to be determined but I am looking around the internet discovering some interesting theories. So expect that to be an thing here soon.

4. What's the future team's true mission?

- That has been altered since time has pass for me. Honestly time traveling is an mess on its own. So I have come up with an different thing for this case.
