~ Thank you to everyone who has been reading and leaving me reviews! I love reading what you have to say. :-)

~ I hope you all are enjoying this story, and I would love to hear your thoughts. Drop me some reviews! :-)

It's been a REALLY long week, and it's only Wednesday.

My 5 year old's teacher passed away yesterday . . . No one knows what happened. I was told that it was sudden and extremely unexpected. At the moment, I have on idea what is going to be happening with her class. This teacher was actually a sub for her regular teacher who is out on maternity leave. She is also the school's site sub who covers for everybody, and they don't have anybody to replace her. As far as I've been told, class is most likely canceled for the remainder of the week. The school just announced the passing on Facebook, but unless I wasn't part of the messaging group, they haven't reached out to the parents yet. I would think that they should have done that first, but that's just me. We aren't telling our kids. They were next to me when I found out this morning, but they are completely oblivious. My kids still think that Walmart has Covid. They are too young to understand what is going on. Plus, Autism. My husband says that we'll tell them, if they ask. We have a policy that if they are old enough to ask the question, they deserve an honest answer. I have no idea what we will say if they do ask. Our 5 year old is super inquisitive lately, so I'm sure she'll probably ask something. I just don't even know what to do at this point. My kids are doing virtual school, so it's not like they've even actually met their teachers and have a close relationship with them. This teacher took over 3 weeks ago. I've only met her because I had to go to the school to pick up my daughter's valentine's day goodies. The teacher was super sweet to me. The whole thing is just sad.

I also got a jury duty notice today. I'm trying to get out of it. I have a lot going on right now, and my kids need me. There is just no way that I can do it. Plus, it's not even local jury duty. It's freaking DISTRICT jury duty over an hour away from us. I just have horrible luck. I always get jury duty, and it's never local or normal. I used to live in California, and a few days before I moved, I got a summons for Federal jury duty over an hour from my house. Today's notice surprised me though. I don't even have a license in this state because we move a lot for my husband's job. We registered to vote here, back in October, but we have yet to change over our licenses, because honestly, what's the point when you move every 6-12 months. We've moved 5 times in the last 2 1/2 years. My kids have now attended 4 different schools. There are over 9 million people that live in this state, and I get jury duty thanks to my voter registration. LOL Freaking figures!

Anyway! There is a lot going on lately. I'm using writing as my outlet because it's the only thing that keeps me sane, so you guys are at least benefitting from it.

Thank you everyone who has posted a review for me to read! I absolutely LOVE reading them! Thank you so much! You guys really keep me going. I really look forward to reading every single one of them. It really means a lot. :-)

"So, are we telling Logan and Rory about the drama?" Honor asked after leading Lorelai down to the basement.

"I don't know . . . I mean, I think that they need to know what is going on, but I'm not sure if today is the best time to tell them."

"I want to throw my mother out a window right now!"

"I can't even blame you for that one."

"I'm done playing nice right now. They are moving out! My parents need to have their own place, away from me!"

"I thought they had their own place here?"

"They do, but they told Logan that they want a new one. Somewhere closer."

"I don't see Rory signing off on that one."

"She already told them that if they decide to buy a new place, that they are using their own money, and she is selling their current place."

"How'd they take that?"

"They weren't thrilled about it, but they're costing the company money, and even cheapskate Dad can't argue that one."

"I can't believe that you've tolerated your parents for this long. I would have eaten a bullet by now."

"It wasn't so bad when my mother was being pleasant. But all of a sudden, the last couple days, psycho society Shira is back with a vengeance. I can't deal with her crap right now. I've never had to use Josh as a bodyguard with that woman, but I swear, if she comes near me, I may have to knock her out!"

"Can I watch?"

"At least I can count on my brother to post bail if I need it."

"You won't need bail, you're pregnant. All you need to say is that you felt threatened. It's self-defense for both you and your unborn child."

"Don't tempt me."

"When are you planning to boot your parents to the curb?"

"I don't know. I would love to do it tonight, but that means that I need to talk to Logan, because there needs to be a care team in place. I can't leave Blake to deal with their crap all on his own. They need at least 3-5 other people."

"What can I do to help you?"

"I honestly have no idea."

"What about calling your mother's therapist and asking for her help? Or what about Doyle? Who helped find Blake?"

"I don't know. I think that was all Logan."

"Ok, well what about this . . . Let's call Doyle. Logan usually has him doing a lot of the research and stuff. Let's ask Doyle what he knows about getting a care team in place for your parents. Maybe Collin knows too."

"That's a good idea. Collin is upstairs . . ."

"I'll call him on the intercom."

"I don't want it to be obvious that we need him. I would text him, but Richard has my phone."

"Give me a second, I think I have his number." Lorelai told her, reaching into her pocket to grab her phone.

"Hey, what's going on?" Collin asked, answering his phone a moment later.

"Attorney to the basement, please."

"On my way."

"He's coming." Lorelai said, slipping her phone back into her pocket. "Honor, you should sit down. All of this stress isn't good for you, or your baby. Come on, come sit."

"Why couldn't I have had you for a mom? My life would have been so much easier!"

"I was like 11 when you were born."

"That's true, you really would have been a baby raising a baby." Honor chuckled as she took a seat on the recliner Logan had moved from the upstairs living room, to the basement. "Did you know that I envied you as a teenager?"

"You did?"

"You were the talk of the Hartford social circle for years. No one could believe it when you bailed on your parents, and moved away with Rory. I wished I could be you, so many times. Logan was sent away to boarding school, but I was stuck home with the parentals, going to Chilton, and they made me completely crazy! There were so many times that I was tempted to pull a Logan stunt, and hope that they would ship me away somewhere. But of course I had to be their stupid perfect daughter."

"I am so sorry Honor! I know how hard that must have been for you."

"Getting to live in the dorms at Yale was the best thing that ever happened to me! I was so happy to be out of that miserable house!"

"It's almost funny to hear you talk like this, because you are always so positive and cheerful."

"I'm usually a very happy person, but I just can't stand my mother anymore! She's always there. Always questioning everything that I do. My house isn't mine anymore. My life isn't mine. They've taken over everything, and I just can't stand it anymore!"

"Alright, who needs bail money?" Collin asked as he headed down the basement stairs.

"My parents are about to!"

"Cool! But DENIED!"

"For real!" Honor sighed.

"What's going on?"

"I need those loons out of my house! Like NOW!"

"Your mother is upstairs bitching about not having baby pictures to share with her friends, and not being allowed to visit the baby in the hospital."

"So you see how clearly delusional that wack job is?!"

"Please, I knew she was delusional when I was my daughter's age."

"So you'll help me get the crazies out of my house then?"

"What does Logan have to say about it?"

"He has no idea what is going on right now. Logan has a new baby to focus on. I don't think that this is the right time to bug him with family drama." Lorelai explained, taking a seat on the couch to Honor's right.

"I completely agree with that. This is bad timing."

"Collin, I can't stand her anymore! Up until yesterday, she was putting on the nice, pleasant Shira act. She's been doing it for months! But all of a sudden, yesterday, the psychotic society Shira showed up. That woman is going to force me into the loony bin if you don't do something!"

"What do you know about a care team being put in place for Mitchum and Shira?" Lorelai asked.

"I know that Logan was working on it a couple of months ago, but recently he's been more focused on getting all of the extra properties sold. I still have a couple of tenants fighting eviction. Logan wants the properties ready to hit the market by July first."

"Wait, who is fighting the eviction? Anyone fun?"

"I'm not at liberty to say . . ."

"Is it one of my Dad's mistresses?" Honor asked.

"I was asked to not worry you with any of that. I have it all under control."

"You really aren't going to entertain me with any fun stories? I could really use the distraction right now."

"Your brother would kill me, and he signs my paychecks."

"What if I write you a check right now?"

"Honor, you know that you are the sister that I never got. I love you to death, and I would do pretty much anything for you. But this isn't something that you need to be worrying about. Logan pays me to keep the stress off of your shoulders, and I would lose my job if he found out that I involved you in a legal mess unnecessarily."

"I see where your loyalty lies . . ."

"Hey, you know damn well that I am beyond loyal to you. I will do everything that I can to get your parents out of your house as soon as possible, but as far as the company evictions, I'm sorry but I can't and won't involve you in that mess. Last I heard, your parents wanted to look for a new place in the city, and weren't happy with their penthouse."

"That was the excuse I was given. But I'm starting to think that my mother just wants to freeload and annoy the hell out of me."

"What about sending her back to rehab?"

"I can't fly her out there. Do you want to escort the crazies back to California?"

"It's your plane, and I'm sure that your brother will more than compensate me for my time."

"Here's a question . . . Does there need to be a medical reason for your mother to go back to rehab?" Lorelai asked.

"Isn't being bipolar enough of a reason?" Honor answered.

"I would think so, but I'm not sure. Logan would know about that one. We can try calling her therapist." Collin suggested.

"So you don't know if Logan has a care team assembled to take on my parents?"

"I know that he was working on it. Blake might know more about that than I do. Do you know Logan's computer password? We can check his computer for information."

"You're his lawyer. You have a copy of my brother's living will, and his safe code. You can't tell me that you don't have all of his passwords too."

"I don't have them on me. They're in my safe at home. I used to know his password, but he's probably changed it by now."

"I know his password, but I honestly wouldn't know where to even begin to look."

"Ok, well then my only other suggestion would be to ask Doyle what he knows, which probably isn't much because I usually know more than that guy. But other than that, I can only say that we need to talk to Logan about it. I know that it's really bad timing, and that you don't want to, which I completely agree with. I don't want to bother him with this crap right now either, but it all really comes down to just how miserable you feel like being right now. If your parents are making you that crazy, then you have to do what is best for you, and that means bursting your brother's happy bubble, and getting rid of team pain in the ass. But I do have to tell you that I'm pretty sure that your brother will jump at the chance to throw your parents out. They've been on his last nerve for a while now."

"What is Logan mad at them about?"

"I think a better question might be what is Logan NOT mad at them about?"

"Part of me almost wants to let them show up at the hospital and cause a scene, because Logan will rip them to pieces over it. But then again, causing a media frenzy for my brother isn't the best idea. He doesn't deserve that nightmare right now."

"I completely agree with you there. As fun as it would be to watch those fireworks, Logan doesn't need that right now. I can go talk to Blake and get a hold of Doyle, and find out what they know about a care team for your parents. I'm sure we can have them moved into their penthouse by tomorrow morning if you can handle one more night with them."

"You can really get them out that fast?"

"Have you forgotten who you are talking to? It's still early, I can probably get them into their own place tonight, surrounded by security, if you want me to. I can call Carlos right now. He's at the hospital managing the team there, but I'm sure he can give me a few guys."

"You have no idea how tempting that sounds."

"Say the word, and it's done."

"Tomorrow is fine. It will give you extra time to get a team in place, and I'll have time to get my parents packed up."

"Do you want me to text Rosalinda?" Lorelai asked.

"No, it's fine. I'll ask her in the morning." Honor sighed.

"Well, there is one thing that I am going to do for you right now. I am going to call Paris, and ask her to come check you out. You look completely exhausted, and all of this stress isn't good for either you or the baby. Normally, I would have Logan give you a once over, and then call Paris, but your brother is a little preoccupied right now."

"I don't want to inconvenience anyone. I'll be fine. I'm exhausted, but I'll be ok. If I need it, I'll have Josh call Paris later. Or I can have someone check me out at the hospital when I go visit Logan later tonight."

"Sorry Honor, but your brother would kill me if I didn't step in here. I'm calling Paris." Lorelai told her, as she pulled her phone back out, and pulled up Paris' number.

"Hey Lorelai, what's going on? Is everything ok?" Paris asked, as soon as she answered.

"I'm at the house with Honor, and there is a little bit of drama. She's pretty worked up, and she looks beyond exhausted. I'm sure that I am probably over reacting, but would you mind stopping by Rory's and checking her out for me?"

"Not at all, I'll be there in fifteen minutes. Where in the house is she?"

"She's in the basement living room with me. I'll text you the door code. You can let yourself in. Is Doyle by any chance with you?"

"He is. We are getting ready to leave the office."

"Bring him with you. Collin in here with us. We need some information, and we don't want to involve Logan."

"Sounds like Huntzberger drama."

"You've been around way too long." Lorelai chuckled.

"We'll leave right now. I'll text you when we get to the gate."

"Thanks Paris. We appreciate it."

"Not a problem. Have Honor sit down and put her feet up. Give her a bottle of water and maybe something to eat. Her sugar level could be low. Have Collin grab Logan's medical bag from either his office, or his car."

"No need, there is one in the closet down here. He has like 10 of them."

"Have Honor check her sugar level. She knows how to use the meter in the bag. And use the pulse oximeter to check her heart rate. And if Logan has a blood pressure meter, check that too, and text me the info."

"Will do. Thanks Paris. We really appreciate it."

"Not a problem. I'll be there soon." Paris told her, then disconnected the call.

"Paris wants you to check your sugar level, and I need to text it to her with your heart rate and blood pressure." Lorelai said as she walked across the room, to the closet where Logan stores his medical bag.

"It's pretty convenient that my brother is so anal that he has medical bags all over this house, isn't it?!" Honor joked.

"Hey, you have to give the guy credit for wanting to cut down on response time. This is a pretty big house. When you have an emergency situation, every second counts. You know that." Collin told her.

"That's true. He has 5 different bags at my house."

"My gosh! How many different bags does he have?!" Lorelai asked.

"I think 5 here, 5 at my house, and at least 3-5 at the office. Maybe more. Logan is big on response times.

* ~ * 30 minutes Later * ~ *

"Sorry Honor, you can hate me all you want, but you are going for monitoring." Paris said as she stood next to Honor, monitoring her vitals.

"You can't be serious right now. I can't do that Paris. I have my psychotic parents to deal with."

"You don't get to worry about them right now. You are coming to the hospital with me. Doyle, you stay here with Collin. Lorelai, will you tell Blake to get the pain in the ass parentals back over to Honor's and babysit the nightmare twins for me over night? I am taking Honor to the hospital with me. Have Josh help Blake at least get them back across the street, and call in an extra nurse to help. Send him to the hospital with a bag of stuff for Honor when he's finished. I'm admitting her overnight."

"You guys go, I'll take care of it." Lorelai told them. "I'll talk to Josh, and help him gather stuff for Honor. I'll put my mother in charge of helping with the nightmare twins until a second nurse gets there."

"I'm calling the nurse service right now. I'll request two backups." Doyle told them.

"Doyle, you come to the hospital with Josh when things are settled." Paris instructed.

"Yes Ma'am!"

"My brother is going to be so mad!" Honor said with a sigh.

"Not at you he isn't. We all know exactly who did this." Paris told her.

"Things weren't supposed to happen this way. I wanted to come see the baby tonight."

"Don't worry, you'll get to see the baby. I doubt Rory and Logan will mind having you for a roommate. Normally, I would have you put in your own room, but I doubt I can keep your brother where he is, without having you guys share."

"Collin, would you mind going to grab Josh for me? I want to talk to him before we go."

"No problem. I'll babysit your parents while he's down here." Collin agreed.

"Honor, I need you to just focus on calming down, alright? Everything is going to be just fine." Paris told her as they watched Doyle and Collin head up the stairs. "I can assure you that you won't be having your baby tonight. But I do need to monitor your blood pressure. This drama has you way too worked up. I'm pretty sure that the pain you are feeling is just braxton hicks contractions, but I am going to get you to the hospital, and get you up on the monitors, just to be sure."

"This sucks, Paris!"

"I know it does. But Lorelai did the right thing calling me. How much have you had to drink today?"

"I'm sure not enough."

"Well I am going to get you hydrated and feeling better, alright?"

"I know that it's useless to argue with you."

"That's right." Paris smiled.

"Hey, what's going on?" Josh asked as he hurried down the basement stairs.

"I am admitting Honor to the hospital for overnight observation. He blood pressure and heart rate are up, and I suspect she's having braxton hicks contractions. They could be caused by dehydration, stress, or any number of things. I want to get her hydrated and feeling better." Paris explained.

"Ok, I'm going with you."

"Josh, I need you to help get my parents home. Doyle is calling in a couple more nurses. I don't want them getting any stupid ideas and coming to the hospital." Honor told him. "If you are going to the hospital, I'm going with you."

"Honor, I'll stay with your parents. I wasn't going to head over until Luke has dinner ready for Rory and Logan anyway. Why don't you and Josh go with Paris, and I'll help Blake get your parents home, and I'll put my mother in charge of them until the extra nurses can get there. I'm sure that my mother won't mind helping out. I'll have Collin, Finn, Doyle and my Dad help Blake get your parents settled, and I'll grab a bag of stuff for you, then meet you guys at the hospital with dinner when it's ready. How does that sound?" Lorelai asked.

"Lorelai, are you sure?" Josh asked.

"I'm positive. This isn't at all how things were supposed to happen today, but your parents can't possibly be counted on to behave themselves, so it is what it is. I'll take care of everything. Your parents wouldn't dare cross Emily and I. And I'll even call Carlos and have him give me a couple guys to come help out at your house, just in case we need some muscle."

"Will you make sure that Blake gets his phone back, but keep my mother's?"

"I'll bring all the phones that aren't Blake's to you, when I come to the hospital."

"Thank you Lorelai. I don't know what I would do without you."

"Well lucky for you, you won't ever have to find out." Lorelai smiled. "You guys get going. I'll take care of everything here."

"Thanks Lorelai. I owe you one." Josh told her.

"No you don't."

"Will you call my mom and let her know what's going on? The number is in my phone."

"I actually have her number. I'll call her as soon as I get things settled at your house. Paris, update me when you have a minute."

"I will. Thank you Lorelai. Josh can you help me get Honor out to my car?" Paris asked.

"Yeah, of course. Is she ok to walk, or do I need to carry her?"

"She can walk, but she needs to go slow. There is a way out of this basement without using the stairs, right?"

"There's a door to the backyard in Logan's weight room. We can walk along the side of the house and up the ramp by Emily and Richard's front door." Josh told her.

"It's obviously been a while since I've been here. I haven't even seen their apartment. I heard that it was done, but I haven't seen it yet."

"Well I'm sure that my mother would be more than happy to show you around this weekend." Lorelai told her. "You guys get going. Paris, I'll call you before I head out."

"Thanks Lorelai. Alright Honor, up you go." Paris said, reaching for Honor's arm, and helping her out of the recliner.
