Sorry guys, I know that it's taking me a while to update, but I'm just not feeling too great lately. On top of my new covid induced heart problem, my asthma has also badly flared up, and I now have a sinus and ear infection to go with it. Covid seriously messed me up! I am constantly exhausted and just wanting to sleep. My kids were on Spring Break last week, but I honestly don't even remember it. I slept a lot (although it feels like I haven't slept at all). I feel like crap all the time, I am beyond exhausted, my appetite is gone, my back is killing me, and I just don't want to get out of bed. Things haven't been fun here at all. Then, on top of all of that, we got hit with Tornados on Wednesday. The last count that I saw for my state was 17. Luckily, we are ok. 2 tornados hit within a few miles of us; one just south of us, and the other 3 miles north west. My husband was outside watching one of the tornados pass by. It was pretty freaky. We've been VERY lucky! My husband's job transfers us A LOT, and so far living in the south for the last 6 years, we've somehow managed to dodge every tornado and hurricane that we've been in the path of. I honestly have no idea how we've managed to get so lucky because we normally have the worst luck in the world, but someone is definitely looking out of us. I hope that any of you who have been dealing with severe weather lately, are safe and healthy. We have more bad weather coming this week, so I don't know how much more I'll be able to get done, but I figured I would at least give you another chapter tonight, before the next storm hits tomorrow. I'm going to try to get some more writing done, but it honestly just depends on how I am feeling. My heart condition is so bad lately, that getting out of bed, I feel like I've run a marathon. I sat on my bedroom floor a little while ago, and hung up/folded 3 loads of laundry, and my heart rate was around 140. I wasn't even moving, just sitting on the floor putting stuff on hangers or folding it into piles to put away. My heart should not be working that hard. Unless I'm running on a tredmil, my heart shouldn't be over 100. I'm just really drained, trying to recover. I've got steroids, antibiotics and new vitamins, so hopefully all of that still start helping soon. I HOPE!
Thank you everyone who has posted a review for me to read! I absolutely LOVE reading them! Thank you so much! You guys really keep me going. I really look forward to reading every single one of them. It really means a lot. :-)

"My friend Walker lives in a building owned by the Morgans'." Honor said, watching her brother's face closely. "Logan . . . What are you not telling me?"
"Nothing."
"Logan, don't you dare nothing me! You just told me that Dad had an affair and forced abortion with a woman who lives in one of the Morgan's buildings. Then, when I mentioned that my slutty friend Walker lives in one of their buildings, your face went white . . ."
"How do you know that the Morgans' own the building that Walker lives in?"
"Because I ran into Dimitri there a couple years ago, when I was dropping Walker off after she got trashed at a party at Alexandra's house."
"You ran into Finn's Dad?"
"He was leaving the building's office as I was headed back through the lobby. He was surprised to see me there, and asked how we were all doing. That's not the point though. The point is that Walker lives in that building, in a property that our family owns."
"Honor, it's not big deal, Collin is handling it."
"Dad had an affair with Walker?"
"Honor, Walker is your friend."
"Walker is a whore! She might claim to be my friend, but she has absolutely zero loyalty to anyone in her life. I mean come on, she slept with YOU behind my back!"
"Well she definitely likes to back stab people, that's for sure."
"So you are confirming it then . . ."
"Confirming what?"
"Walker had an affair with Dad . . ."
"Honor . . . You know that I would never do anything to hurt you . . ."
"You never have. But Walker definitely has . . . How long ago was this?"
"That isn't important."
"How long Logan? You said that Dad forced an abortion. When did it happen?"
"Sometime in the last 8 years." Logan said softly. "I'm so sorry Honor, I never wanted you to find out like this. Walker is your friend. I just found out about all of this, and I've wanted to tell you, but I didn't want to hurt you. I am so sorry! I've been trying to figure out how to tell you, and I just didn't think that it was a good time."
"I'm not mad at you. You're my brother, and I know that you love me, and are completely loyal to me . . . Dad on the other hand . . ."
"Trust me, I'm pretty pissed about it. He's been having an affair with your friend."
"Don't call her my friend . . . And Dad wouldn't be the first of our friends' parents that Walker has slept with."
"She has a history of sleeping with her friends' Dads?"
"She's tried to seduce Megan's Dad multiple times. She slept with every guy both Megan and Alexandra dated back in college, and she's gone after Josh more times than I can count. Josh is completely repulsed by her."
"She's a real piece of work, isn't she?"
"She's a whore, and that's putting it nicely. It's why I really don't talk to her anymore. The night of my wedding she was caught in the bathroom with two different guys."
"That's messed up."
"Like you wouldn't believe. She's had several different STDs over the years. I only know because she tried crying to Megan and I about it a few times. We both told her that if she wasn't such a whore, and would learn how to keep her damn legs closed, she wouldn't be picking up diseases."
"Yeah, no kidding!"
"She's disgusting!"
"Dad should get tested."
"I am NOT about to have that conversation with him."
"Yeah, me either."
"You're a doctor, Logan!"
"Yeah, but Dad isn't exactly my favorite person right now. Plus, I want NOTHING to do with his sex life. Especially not when it comes to him screwing your skanky friend."
"Don't call her my friend. She's dead to me."
"What are you going to do?"
"I have no idea . . . How long ago was this affair? Obviously, it wasn't just the one time for her to be living in a company property."
"It's been several times over the last 10 years."
"How recently?"
"You'll have to talk to Finn, but from what I understand the most recent time she saw him was this past summer."
"So Finn knows about it?"
"I asked him about the property since it's in his family's building, and he ran into her in the hallway while investigating."
"So Finn talked to her then?"
"Finn knows what a lush she is, so he pretended to get drunk with her, and she ran her big mouth."
"She slept with Dad recently?"
"It sounds like it."
"That's just sick!"
"Like you wouldn't believe!"
"I can't believe that she would do this to me!"
"All I can say is that it obviously isn't the first time that she back stabbed you. And at least when I accidentally slept with her, I was beyond drunk."
"Drunk and delusional. You spent all night whining about Rory."
"Exactly. It was a stupid drunken mistake."
"I would have killed you for it, but I was too busy feeling sorry for how pathetic you were."
"And I've never done anything to hurt you other than that one thing."
"That and I figured it wasn't your fault, because I know Walker's history. She was feeding you drinks all night, and completely throwing herself at you. I should have been better about babysitting you, but I figured that you were an adult, and that you could take care of yourself."
"Clearly you were wrong."
"Which is why I've NEVER let you alone around her ever again!"
"And I appreciate that. You know that Walker is why Rory bailed on your wedding, right?"
"Rory told me everything when you were in the hospital."
"I am so sorry Honor. I never wanted you to be hurt by this. I wanted to tell you. I really did. I just couldn't figure out a way to do it, without you ending up hurt."
"Well for the record, I'm not mad at you. I'm pretty pissed at both Walker and Dad, but definitely not you. I can't believe that I let Dad live in my home! He was screwing my friend, and I allowed him in my home!"
"You didn't know."
"It's so wrong! How could he do that to me! I'm his daughter!"
"I have no idea. I want to say that it was an easy lay, but it's not like it was even a one-time thing. And she ended up pregnant, which is even worse!"
"It's just sick! Thank God she had an abortion, because I can't even fathom what a horrendous parent she would be! I mean, I don't condone abortion in any way, and I would never get one myself . . ."
"You believe in a woman's right to choose. It's your body, and your choice."
"Exactly!"
"Dad never should have forced that on her, but I'm glad that she did it too. I can't even imagine having to deal with her as part of the family."
"Dad isn't paying her, right?"
"What do you mean?"
"Dad gave her an apartment free of charge. You don't think that he gave her a salary too, do you?"
"Fuck! I didn't even think of that!" Logan said, reaching into his pocket, and pulling out his phone.
"Who are you calling? It's almost midnight."
"Collin. I need him to go through the payroll files, and end any and all payments going to anyone who lives in HPG properties, and isn't actually an active employee."
"Do you think that Dad would do that?"
"I honestly have no idea. Dad gave her an apartment, so who knows where she is getting her money from. She doesn't have a job, does she?"
"Walker? Yeah right!"
"Which means that she is getting money from somewhere."
"She's on her Daddy's payroll. Or at least she used to be. I have no idea. She literally only calls me when she needs something."
"Logan, this had better be important." Collin said in an annoyed voice, when he answered his phone.
"I need you to pull the HPG payroll files."
"Why?"
"I'm sitting here talking to Honor, and we suspect that Dad could be giving his mistresses a salary as well as a free home."
"If he is, that's called prostitution."
"I didn't even think of that."
"So you told Honor then?"
"I did."
"How'd she take it?"
"She's not too happy about it."
"Well, here is some kind of fun yet not so fun news . . . If your Dad has been paying his mistresses as well as giving them free homes, we can have them charged with prostitution as part of the eviction process."
"That is fun news. But what's the not so fun part?"
"Your Dad would be incriminated for paying for prostitution."
"I almost want to say that he deserves it."
"He could go to prison for a really long time."
"And that would look really bad on the company and our family."
"Pretty much."
"So basically, we can use it as a silent threat against the women, to get them to shut up and move, but never actually file the charges."
"Exactly! It'll keep them silent. I'll pull the records tomorrow, and have a contract drawn up that says that they agree to silently move and forgo all future payments, never mentioning the circumstances, on the condition that we never mention that they were paid to have relations with Mitchum."
"Thank you Collin."
"Your Dad is more twisted than I ever imagined."
"Trust me, I am right there with you."
"Go get some rest. Let me know when you guys are released, and I'll meet you you at your house."
"I will. Tell Stephanie that I'm sorry for disturbing you guys. I just had to talk to you tonight before I forgot."
"It's fine, I would have done the same thing. Give Rory Honor and the baby our love."
"I will. Talk to you tomorrow." Logan said, then ended the call with a sigh.
"Collin is taking care of it?" Honor asked as Logan leaned over and buried his face in her blankets.
"If anyone is on the payroll, them and Dad could legally be charged with prostitution."
"Yikes!"
"Collin is going to draw up a contract for them to agree to quietly vacate the property and income, in exchange for not mention of prostitution from us."
"Thank God for Collin!"
"We could easily charge the women with prostitution as part of the eviction, but it would incriminate Dad, and they could all go to prison."
"That would look HORRIBLE for the family and the business."
"I know. Collin is handling it."
"I am so glad that Collin is your attorney, because anyone else would report this to the police."
"I know. Things could get REALLY bad!"
"I sure hope not. We've been through enough lately."
"And the hits just keep on coming . . . What are you going to do if Walker shows up at your party?"
"I'm going to throw her out. We have extra security at the house anyway, so I'll just have to make sure that she is stopped at the door, and I'll tell her that she has to leave."
"I'll do it. It's your party. You shouldn't have to deal with that drama."
"Oh trust me, I want to deal with that drama. I want her to know exactly what I think of her. I plan to make it VERY clear to that whore, that she is NOT to be seen near any of my family members EVER again!"
"I want to be there when you talk to her."
"Deal!" Honor told him. "You need to get some sleep. Josh, Rory and Ayribella are all passed out. You should try to sleep too."
"I know. I'm kind of waiting for Doctor Peterson to come back, and for the test results to come in."
"You need to rest though. You've got a newborn, and a lot of sleepless nights ahead of you."
"Yeah, but we have a lot of help too. I'm sure it won't be really bad until all of the extra help leaves."
"But you still need to sleep."
"I know . . . And I will. It's just hard to sleep when I have a lot going on."
"It has to suck to be a doctor sometimes."
"Yes and no. It's good that I actually understand everything that is going on, but also bad because I know all of the risks. It's easy to be the messenger when the patient is a stranger. But when it's my family, it's really hard to turn my brain off, and let things go. I know exactly what is going on, the treatment, the side effects, and the risks. Right now, I'm waiting to find out if my newborn daughter is anemic, which could potentially be a risk to her life. It's terrifying! I know that Rory will be ok, because she is being treated, and she's healthy and has a strong immune system. Ayribella doesn't have that."
"Ayribella is healthy though, and she's a Huntzberger. She is your daughter, which makes her a fighter. Ayribella will be completely fine."
"I sure hope so, because I'm not sure that I could handle it if she wasn't."
"Logan, go lay down with your wife, and close your eyes. You are exhausted! There are plenty of other doctors and nurses here, who are staying awake all night to take care of all of us. You don't need to do it too. You need to rest. Go lay down with Rory."
"I thought we were going to have a movie night?"
"I changed my mind. You and I are both going to sleep. Now go lay down." Honor told him.
"Fine." Logan sighed as he got up from his seat and headed across the room toward his wife. "I probably shouldn't sleep with my shirt off tonight, should I?"
"You can if you want to, but I'll warn you that it'll probably end with all of your co-workers ogling you."
"I was thinking more of the inappropriateness of them seeing me half dressed, but you make a good point. I'll just sleep in my clothes like Josh is."
"That might be a good idea."
"Maybe having a baby in a hospital that I work in wasn't the best idea that I've ever had. Too many people know me, and I can't just be Logan."
"Maybe you should rethink that for the next baby. Maybe have the next one in Hartford."
"Remind me."
"Go to bed Logan. I love you."
"I know. I love you too. I'm glad that you're here. And I'm sorry if I ruined your night."
"Don't be. You have nothing to apologize for. I should be the one apologizing for ruining your night."
"You could never ruin my night. You're my sister, and my best friend."
"I thought that Collin was your best friend?"
"You both are. And Finn."
"Who is your favorite best friend?"
"You win because you're blood and stuck with me."
"Good call!" Honor chuckled as Logan climbed into Rory's bed. "Sweet dreams baby brother."
"You too." Logan smiled as Rory snuggled up against his side, placing her hand on his chest. "I'm sorry I woke you, go back to sleep."
"But what if I want to ogle you?" Rory whispered, a smirk spreading over her face as her hand crept under his shirt, and up his chest.
"How long have you been awake?"
"Only for a couple minutes."
"Really?"
"What did I miss other than you not taking those restricting clothes off?"
"Says the woman lying in a hospital bed."
"You started it. I'm not the one who looks like a male model. I'm just the girl who enjoys the show."
"And I'm sure that you would rather not share me with gossiping nurses."
"I've never been good at sharing my toys. I'm an only child."
"You must be feeling better."
"A little bit."
"Good, I'm glad. I started your blood transfusion. I set it to go slow, so you've only gotten part of it. Once it's done, you should be feeling a lot better."
"Good. I really want to go home tomorrow."
"I know. Me too. Go to sleep Ace." Logan smiled, gently kissing his wife's lips.
"I love you."
"And I love you. Are you warm enough? Do you need anything?"
"I'm perfect right here."
"Are you sure?" Logan asked as he wrapped his arms around his wife, and closed his eyes.
"Mmmhhmm."
"Hey Ace?"
"Yeah?"
"I told Honor about Walker."
"You did? I thought you were going to wait?"
"I was . . . But I'm glad I told her. She pointed out something that we never thought of."
"What's that?"
"I asked Collin to pull HPG's payroll records. My Dad might have set people up for paychecks that aren't actual employees."
"You think he would do that?"
"He gave them free homes, so I wouldn't put it past him. We are going to find out though. Collin is taking care of it."
"Isn't it illegal to pay off a mistress?"
"To pay off, no. But to pay for sex, yes. It's called prostitution."
"Logan, that can't get out. It would destroy the company if we've been paying for your Dad's prostitutes." Rory said, suddenly sitting herself upright.
"I know. That's why I told you. Collin is handling it. He's going to go through the payroll records and figure out if anyone that isn't an actual employee has been receiving a check, and then have them completely cut off. He's drafting a contract for those people to quietly vacate the company properties and paychecks with the agreement that in doing so, we won't bring charges against them for prostitution, nor will they incriminate my Dad. Everyone involved could end up in prison for it, and it would badly damage the company."
"I sure hope your Dad wasn't doing that crap. He's a moron if he was! We could lose everything!"
"Trust me, I know. But Collin is taking care of it. Everything is going to be completely fine. I promise. Just try to relax, ok? Collin is going to meet us at home after you are released, and I'll work with him on taking care of this nightmare. You have nothing to worry about."
"Your Dad is a complete moron!"
"I know . . . Try to get some sleep, alright? You are going to need it." Logan said, pulling Rory back down next to him. "I promise you. I will make this ok."
