We are expecting bad weather again tomorrow, so I figured I would update tonight.

Thank you everyone who has posted a review for me to read! I absolutely LOVE reading them! Thank you so much! You guys really keep me going. I really look forward to reading every single one of them. Huntzberger Residence

Manhattan, New York

"Well THAT was fun!" Lorelai said as Logan helped his wife out of the black Escalade currently parked in Rory and Logan's garage.

"I never realized that leaving the hospital could be such a challenge."

"You have no idea. I was taken out through a side entrance and driven in a security vehicle to the employee parking garage where Luke was waiting with Carlos."

"We didn't even go through the employee garage. We were taken out through the service entrance."

"Frank, you should come inside. Come meet the baby." Rory said as the door to the house opened and her friend Lane stepped out.

"Hey, you guys made it!"

"Thanks for helping Lane. I didn't even think about needing a decoy to leave the hospital."

"Hey, it was fun for me! I snuck in through a loading dock, and was escorted to your room, then wheeled out a couple hours later with Ayribella in a covered carrier. Everything went perfectly!"

"Apparently there was some actor admitted this morning, and the paparazzi descended on the place like cockroaches. All of our escape plans went right out the window. We even considered trying to take a helicopter to get out, but I wasn't sure where we could land without being obvious about something going on." Logan explained.

"You probably could have landed at the airport."

"Yeah, but there's a lot of traffic there, and it's so far away. It would have taken too long to get home."

"That's true. How is Ayribella doing?" Rory asked.

"She's inside with your grandparents. They are gushing over her amazingness. Do you guys need any help unloading?"

"Luke already has everything in the house, and took your bags up to your room." Lorelai told them. "He's working on dinner right now."

"Frank, come have dinner with us. I insist." Logan spoke up before shutting the door to the SUV.

"Very well, Mr. Huntzberger." Frank smiled as he got out of the vehicle.

"Hey, you know better than to call me that."

"Sorry, it's a habit. I would be happy to, Logan. Thank you for the generous invite."

"You need to come meet Ayribella." Rory said as Logan escorted her toward the door to the house.

"I would love to."

"Come on in, make yourself at home." Lorelai said as she held the door open for everyone. "Luke is making steak."

"It smells so good in here!" Rory said excitedly as she stepped into the house. "I'm starving, and the smell of real food is making my mouth water."

"Luke makes the BEST steak dinners." Lane commented as they headed down the long hallway past the laundry room, and a large storage closet, toward the foyer and the rest of the house.

"Did they ever tell you who the celebrity is?" Lorelai asked.

"It's Jennifer Lopez." Rory answered.

"How do you know?" Logan asked.

"AP wire. All that stuff comes to my phone. And Doyle texted me asking if I wanted him to send someone to cover it."

"Did you?"

"Nope! We can get the news off the AP wire and put a few sentences in tomorrow's paper. There's no need to waste money on it. Jlo's health issues are none of anyone else's business, and I want to respect her privacy. Sending a reporter to stand outside the hospital all day, hoping to maybe get a glimpse of Jlo leaving while I'm paying then by the hour to stand there doing nothing while they could be doing actual work at the office, is a complete waste! If there is a press conference later, Doyle can send someone. I honestly just don't see a point. Celebrities are people, just like we are. And waiting outside a busy hospital, blocking traffic is just stupid when the nurses will just escort Jlo out a side entrance into a waiting car, just like they did with all of us."

"That's a good point." Lane agreed.

"You are much more frugal than my Dad ever was. He was constantly sending people to stupid stuff like that." Logan told her.

"Why? It's a complete waste! I'm not going to pay someone to stand around doing nothing. I do that enough with you."

"Haha!"

"Hey, you made it!" Richard greeted everyone as they walked into the living room. "Your little girl has been in great hands with us. Emily and I are thrilled to watch her any time you'd like!"

"Thank you Grandpa!" Rory said as she gave him a quick hug, then headed toward where Emily sat in the rocking chair with her daughter. "I absolutely HATED having to be away from her, but I had to do what was best for her, in order to keep her safe."

"We were in the car waiting for Lane when she was brought out. Ayribella has been with us the entire time." Emily told her as she handed her granddaughter the baby. "We would never let anything happen to our little angel."

"Thank you guys, so much! I really appreciate everything that you are constantly doing for us."

"You don't have to thank us." Richard said as Rory took a seat in the recliner with her daughter. "It's our pleasure."

"How bad was the circus outside?" Logan asked.

"There are paparazzi everywhere." Lane answered. "I kind of chuckled being able to stand right in front of them with your baby, and no one had a single clue."

"You are amazing Lane. Thank you so much!" Rory told her.

"You are very welcome. I'm glad that I was able to help."

"I'm really glad that you are here. I've missed you."

"I've missed you too. And I would never not be here. You only rarely ask for favors, so I knew it was important."

"How long can you stay?"

"I'm supposed to go back tomorrow, but if you need me, I can call my mom and ask her to help with the boys."

"You would do that for me?"

"Of course I would! You're my best friend!"

"April is coming up tomorrow. We are having a taco party for Cinco De Mayo. And then Honor's baby shower is on Saturday. I don't think I'll go, but Mom and Grandma should be there. And Logan is going."

"Well you and I will have a best friends day, just the two of us while they are at the shower. I'll call my mom right now."

"Thank you, Lane. This means a lot to me."

"Of course! Give me two minutes, and I'll be right back. I may need to borrow some clothes though."

"You know where my closet is. Help yourself!" Rory told her.

"How are you feeling Sweetheart?" Richard asked.''

"I'm alright. Doctor Peterson wants us to monitor my iron levels for the next 6 or so months because I'm anemic."

"It happens after pregnancy. Especially with gestational hypertension." Logan spoke up. "Rory got a blood transfusion last night. Normally, they would have kept her for a few extra days, but because I'm a doctor, they released her into my care. We have to make a run to my office every morning to check Rory's iron level, but otherwise, she can carry on like normal. If her level tanks, we'll have to go get another transfusion, but other than that, we can stay on top of it with vitamins and an iron rich diet."

"Anemia is very treatable." Richard agreed.

"Yes it is. I had Ayribella tested too, just in case, but she's perfect."

"Well, she is a Gilmore."

"And she's a Huntzberger. She's our little fighter." Rory said, smiling at the baby sleeping in her arms.

"Rory, are you thirsty or anything? You need to stay hydrated." Emily spoke up.

"I could use some juice, if you don't mind."

"Lemonade?"

"Yes, please."

"Coming right up!"

"Hey Ror, Mrs. Kim wants to talk to you." Lane said, walking back into the room with her cell phone in her hand.

"Am I in trouble?" Rory asked.

"No, she just wants to know how you are . . . Momma? I'm putting you on speaker so you can talk to Rory."

"Hi Mrs. Kim."

"Rory, how are you? Are you feeling faint? Are you eating and drinking enough?"

"Yes Mrs. Kim. I am doing well. The doctors said that I'm anemic, but I had a blood transfusion last night, so I am doing better. My husband is a doctor, so they released me into his care."

"Lane will stay with you through the weekend. I can come. What do you need?"

"Thank you Mrs. Kim, but I'm alright. Logan is here, and my Mom, Luke and my Grandparents are here. You are welcome to visit any time, but I really am ok. Like I said, Logan is a doctor, he has everything under control."

"Is he checking your iron? Are you getting enough Vitamin C?"

"Yes, he's checking every day. I am getting plenty of Vitamin C. I take vitamins every day, and my Grandma is bringing me some lemonade right now. I promise you, I'm alright."

"And Luke is feeding you?"

"Yes, he is."

"Good! It is important that you eat and drink. You are breastfeeding?"

"I am."

"Make sure you stay hydrated. Lots of water!"

"I've got it covered."

"You need to eat healthy. No unclean foods."

"I am doing my best. Luke has it all covered."

"You need to sleep and get exercise."

"I am doing my best. I promise."

"Good. You call if you need help. I will come."

"I promise Mrs. Kim."

"Good! You send me pictures?"

"I will do that right now."

"Good Good. Are you sure you're ok? You don't need my help?"

"I promise you, I am perfect. I have a lot of help right now. You can come visit if you want to, but I promise, I am doing great."

"You call me if that changes. Have Lane help you."

"Thank you Mrs. Kim. I really appreciate it."

"Momma, I'm going to let you go. Have the boys call me before they go bed."

"I will. Goodbye." Mrs. Kim said, then ended the call.

"Have you heard from Paris since this morning?" Honor asked as she sat in Rory's bedroom with Rory and Lane.

"Not that I know of. She hasn't called or texted me. Logan may have heard from her, but he hasn't said anything to me about it." Rory answered.

"She was pretty upset."

"Why was Paris upset?" Lane asked.

"Because Logan had the nerve to ask another doctor for his help with treatment last night." Rory explained.

"Was she there when it happened?"

"Nope! Logan had argued with her about my treatment earlier in the day, and Paris was being Paris and thought that she knew best. She refuses to acknowledge when she's wrong, and she despises Logan for being right. Logan knew that something was wrong and wanted to run tests, but Paris didn't agree. Logan did it anyway, and he was right about everything. So now Paris is upset because Logan stepped on her toes."

"Paris can't be upset about Doctor Peterson treating Ayribella though." Honor commented.

"No, but she's upset about him assisting with you and me. She's not speaking to us because of it."

"Well at least she's keeping her distance and sulking silently." Lane told them.

"Not so silently. She's gripping to Doyle about it."

* ~ * Flashback to 8:00am * ~ *

"Logan, conference room! NOW!" Paris barked as she opened the door to Rory and Honor's hospital room.

"Not a chance, Paris!" Logan chuckled. "Whatever it is that you think you are going to say to me, you are going to do it right here."

"Good morning Doctor Gellar. It's nice to see you again." Dr. Peterson said, looking up from where he stood by Rory's bed, checking up on Ayribella.

"I said NOW, Logan!" Paris repeated herself.

"You, wish Paris."

"You really want to do this here?!"

"Ayribella looks absolutely perfect. I'm alright with releasing you both this afternoon." Doctor Peterson spoke up. "I don't have any concerns about her at all. Were you able to get the vitamins from the pharmacy?"

"They were brought up a couple hours ago." Logan answered.

"I would start her on those, but she is completely perfect. All of her tests came back normal. As for Rory, her iron level seems to be holding steady right now, so the transfusion she got last night did its job. We'll run one more panel around 1pm, and then you should be able to be released after that. Just stick with the vitamin regiment and iron rich diet, and if her levels start to drop, bring her in for a transfusion. Like I said last night, normally, I could keep Rory for a couple more days for observation, but with you being a physician, I am confident that she is being released into capable hands. I'll go ahead and notate everything in the computer system for you."

"Thank you Doctor Peterson." Rory spoke up.

"Doctor Gellar, do you have any concerns?" Doctor Peterson asked, turning toward the door.

"You are treating my patients now?" Paris asked.

"Paris, I asked for someone to be sent down from Peds last night." Logan started.

"I can handle it." Doctor Peterson said, cutting Logan off. "Doctor Gellar, with all due respect, I understand your frustration this morning, but I can assure you that in no way do I mean to step on your toes. I worked the overnight shift last night, and was asked to come down to check on Baby Huntzberger. You know my background, and you know that I am fully qualified and capable of treating both mother and child. Mrs. Huntzberger was severely anemic and in need of a blood transfusion. He levels were all low last night. I worked alongside Doctor Huntzberger to make sure that your patient had the best possible care. She is doing much better this morning, and feeling like herself again. You were not on call last night, and there was no reason to bother you during your time off with your family. Everything is completely under control here, and it is my professional opinion that Doctor Huntzberger was right to order the extra tests for both his wife and baby. We've ruled out anemia for the newborn, as well as jaundice. Everything is going very well this morning, and I have no further concerns. I am recommending release for both patients as soon as they reach 24 hours post-delivery."

"No one is stepping on your toes Paris, so you can calm down now." Logan told her. "Anything that you have to be say needs to be done in a calm, civilized manner. You can hate me all you want. I have absolutely no problem with that. But I will NOT allow you to raise your voice in front of my daughter. I haven't done anything wrong, other than disagree with you. But as it turns out, I was completely right about everything. Had I not ordered the additional testing for Rory, she could still be in distress today, and it could potentially end up costing us Rory's life. Now, you and I both know that Rory's life is precious, and that neither one of us would ever want to do something to risk it. So be mad at me all you want Paris, but Rory is healthy and recovering because of ME! I understand that this is a big blow to your ego, but you need to understand that you aren't the only doctor here, and you need to admit to yourself that I know what I am doing, and that I am a damn good doctor. The testing you ordered would not have yielded all of the information that we needed last night, and would have resulted in a second blood draw being done. Because I ordered the correct tests, both Rory and Ayribella are able to be released today. Go fume and complain all you want, but I was right this time. We appreciate everything that you've done for us, but this time another doctor was needed. I'm sorry that you are upset and feel like you've been replaced, but like Doctor Peterson already told you, there was no need to drag you away from your family last night. We handled it."

"You should have called." Paris growled, gritting her teeth.

"No ,we shouldn't have. You were off the clock. You have a family who needs your undivided attention when you are at home. There was no reason for us to disturb you, barring an emergency. We handled it."

"Mrs. Rothschild, I am releasing you this morning. You haven't had any events since you were admitted last night, and both yours and your baby's vitals are strong. I would recommend that you limit your stress, and call Doctor Gellar if you have any additional problems." Doctor Peterson said as he stepped up to the computer that sat in the room between Rory and Honor's hospital beds.

"Thank you Doctor Peterson." Josh spoke up.

"You had him treat your sister too?" Paris asked.

"My gosh Paris, could you be any more childish? We did an ultrasound on Honor to check her fluid levels. Is it such a crime to make sure that my sister and nephew are ok? It's not like we've fired you as a doctor, although if you don't check the attitude, I'll seriously consider it." Logan told her.

"You're on my list, Logan."

"I've been on your list for the last 12 years, Paris. This isn't anything new. You don't scare me."

"Your patients are doing great Doctor Gellar." Doctor Peterson told her, as he typed up his notes.

"I'll review your findings." Paris said, then turned and stepped away from the door, allowing it to close behind her.

"Well, that went well." Honor chuckled, as she rolled her eyes.

"I expected a bigger scene." Josh commented.

"I think we all did." Rory agreed.

* ~ * End Flashback * ~ *

"Wow, so Paris just left?" Lane asked.

"I expected her to come back after Doctor Peterson finished his rounds, but we haven't seen or heard from her." Logan said as he came into the room carrying his daughter. "Paris has been oddly silent all day. I'm sure that there is a fight coming, but I haven't heard a single peep."

"She wouldn't be Paris if there wasn't a fight." Rory agreed. "She's been gripping to Doyle, so she's definitely still upset."

"Doyle can more than handle Paris. She'll probably fume for a while."

"What's going on?"

"Someone is hungry. She was rubbing her face in your Grandmother's chest."

"Grandma is probably mortified."

"She handled it well. If you guys are interested, Luke is serving up some strawberry shortcake downstairs."

"That sounds delicious!" Honor smiled as she watched her brother pass his daughter to Rory.

"Why don't you guys head downstairs and I'll come down with Rory after we get Ayribella down for the night."

"Sounds good to me." Lane agreed, rising from her seat next to Rory on the bed.

"Lane, which guestroom would you like? You can take upstairs or downstairs." Logan asked.

"I'll take upstairs, so I can be closer to Rory in case she needs help, if that's ok with you guys."

"I'll go make sure the room is ready for you. Is there anything that you need?"

"I just need to borrow some clothes for the night. I can throw my stuff in the washer overnight."

"Don't be silly, help yourself to my closet." Rory told her.

"You can go shopping in my closet too, if you'd like to. I'm a little taller than both of you, but you are free to take whatever you'd like." Honor spoke up.

"I think there are some brand new underwear in the top drawer that you can have, if you'd like. I have a ton of clothes. Help yourself to whatever you'd like."

"How about we go through your closet after dessert." Lane suggested.

"Sounds good to me." Rory agreed.

"Not that it's anything that we haven't seen before, but Lane and I are going to head downstairs to give you some privacy to feed your baby. We'll see you down there." Honor said as she held her arms out toward her brother to help pull her up from where she sat on the bed.

"You having trouble getting up now?" Logan chuckled as he grasped Honor's hands and pulled her to her feet.

"Your bed is high enough that I could have slid off myself, but I figured having your help steady me was a safer idea."

"You're pretty smart, for a girl."

"Shut up, Logan! You know that I'll smack you."

"Lane, would you mind helping my sister down the stairs, please? I'd tell you to throw her down them, but that would just hurt my nephew."

"Haha!"

"Come on Preggo. Let's get rolling." Lane chuckled.

"Thanks Lane." Logan said as he watched the duo leave the room before looking back where Rory lounged on the bed and began feeding their daughter. "Do you need anything? I was going to go get the guest room ready for Lane."

"Have my mom do it. You don't know the first thing about getting a room ready."

"I know how to make a bed."

"The bed is already made. And there is more to it than that. My mom runs an Inn. She's a professional."

"Just tell me what needs to be done."

"Hand me my phone?"

"Ace, I promise you, I can do it."

"I'll have my mom teach you. Grab my phone off the nightstand."
