~ Thank you to everyone who has been reading and leaving me reviews! I love reading what you have to say. :-)

~ I hope you all are enjoying this story, and I would love to hear your thoughts. Drop me some reviews! :-)

I am trying to get around to writing again, but things are weird right now. There was a murder in my neighborhood on Sunday, and my head is really messed up right now. It looks like it was a gang fight, but 2 or 3 apartments were shot up about a football field away from mine. The police released the name of the guy who died yesterday, and I stupidly looked him up on Facebook, and recognized him as someone I constantly saw walking through the complex. I am really shaken up right now, and I just don't feel safe. My husband keeps telling me that we don't know or talk to anyone around here, so there is no way that we would be targeted. However, I am worried about the people who live next door . . . What if they are targets and the next round of gun fire that happens happens to hit my apartment, like it did to the other neighbors on Sunday? I have two little kids. Maybe it's just my anxiety going crazy, but I am praying that we get transferred far away from here, really quickly.

Anyway, I'll try to get back into writing, I just suffer from serious depression and anxiety, and I am fighting a huge battle in my head right now. Writing is usually my outlet, but I'm just not doing very well right now. I have a few chapters already written, so I may just keep posting those until I can get my head straightened out. I hope you are all having a great week so far, and had a great Memorial Day Weekend.

Thank you everyone who has posted a review for me to read! I absolutely LOVE reading them! Thank you so much! You guys really keep me going. I really look forward to reading every single one of them. It really means a lot. Plus, the more reviews I get, the more I am inclined to post new chapters sooner. I have several finished right now, so we'll see what happens. ;-)

"Honor! Wow, you are REALLY pregnant!" Walker said, as she opened her apartment door to see Honor standing in the hallway.

"Hey Walker. It's nice to see you. I know you're moving, so I brought you some boxes. I thought I would help you pack. I'm not supposed to be lifting anything though, but Frank offered to bring them in for me."

"Wow! Uh, thank you. Come on in." Walker said, giving her friend a half smile, then stepping aside to allow Honor and Frank to come inside. "I haven't even started packing. I haven't even found a new place yet."

"You haven't found a new place yet? Walker, you've known about this for a couple months now."

"I honestly didn't think that it was even real. I mean, you and I, we're best friends. I didn't think that your family would actually kick me out."

"It's not my family's apartment, Walker. It's the company's property. And from what I was told a couple hours ago, if you aren't out on Monday, they'll be sending the sheriffs' department over to remove you, and change the locks. You've only got 5 days left."

"Are you serious right now?!"

"The company is selling the property, whether you like it or not. You'll be locked out on Monday."

"Maybe I can have a talk with your Dad, and get him to change his mind."

"My Dad isn't part of the company anymore. He retired."

"When did that happen?"

"Back in February."

"So Logan took over then? Last time we talked, wasn't he going to medical school or something? Or did he quit that too, and decide that he would rather drink and party all the time?"

"Nope, Logan is actually doing very well for himself. He's a doctor now, with his own practice."

"Logan Logan? Like your little brother Logan?"

"He's the only Logan I know."

"Playboy Logan is a doctor?"

"He grew up. He's married now too."

"To who!?"

"To Rory."

"Rory?"

"Remember the girl he was with at my wedding?"

"That quiet nerdy chick?"

"Rory is amazing! They are really good together."

"Logan got married?!"

"Last year."

"For real?! I just saw him like a week ago, or something."

"Yeah, he mentioned that."

"Miss Honor, this is the last of the boxes. Text me when you'd like me to pick you up." Frank said as he set down a stack of boxes in the corner of Walker's apartment.

"Thank you so much, Frank. I will." Honor smiled, watching as Frank left, then turning back to Walker. "I'm really sorry about the whole shower thing. There has been a lot going on lately, and with the eviction thing, and then the news about you and my Dad coming out . . . We just couldn't have you there. I'm sorry."

"What news about me and your Dad?"

"Walker . . ." Honor sighed, moving through the apartment to Walker's kitchen, and taking a seat at the dining table. "I know that you had an affair with my Dad."

"Says who?!"

"You told a friend of Logan's and my Dad confirmed it."

"What?!"

"Logan told me about it a few weeks ago."

"Logan's friend?! What friend?"

"You ran into one of his friends one night a while back, and you both got pretty drunk, and you told him all about it. He was shocked, and called Logan the next morning."

"Are you serious right now?!"

"Walker, who else knows?"

"Who else knows what?"

"About your affair with my Dad."

"Your Dad came onto me."

"Walker, honestly. This isn't the first time that you've had an affair with one of your friends parents, so let's not sit here pretending like it never happened. Everyone knows all about you and Alexa's Dad, and most people know about you and both of Deana's parents. This isn't anything new for you. You tend to do some pretty stupid things."

"I swear Honor, your Dad came onto me."

"I don't even care. My Dad has had more affairs that I care to ever know about. The details aren't important. I honestly don't even want to talk about it. The only thing that matters right now, is getting your things packed up, and moved out of this apartment before Monday. You said that you wanted to talk and catch up, so I thought I would do you a favor, and come help you pack."

"Your Dad gave me this apartment."

"It's company property, and it's being sold."

"How can anyone sell something that Mitchum gave me?"

"Do you have a contract with my Dad? Because I haven't heard about anything, and unless there is a secret contract somewhere, a judge has already signed off on your eviction."

"Are you serious right now?! They can't evict me from my home. This is my apartment. Mitchum gave it to me!"

"This apartment is owned by HPG."

"And Mitchum gave it to me like 10 years ago. I've been living here for a really long time."

"Do you have a contract?"

"Why would I need a contract?"

"So you don't have any kind of paperwork that says that my Dad gave you the apartment?"

"Well, no . . ."

"Walker, without some kind of legally binding contract, you can't stay here. HPG's attorney served you with eviction paperwork, and you are already past the move out date that they gave you. The attorney went to court today, and because we're friends decided to give you until Monday to move. They were going to lock you out today, but I got them to give you an extra 5 days. But you need to move out, or they'll have you removed."

"But they can't do that."

"They can do it, Walker. They've already got a judge's signature. They can have you removed right now, if they want to."

"Are you serious?!"

"You need to start packing."

"But, they can't kick me out. I don't have anywhere to move to."

"Well I suggest that you find somewhere."

"Are you serious right now?! They would really kick me out?!"

"They can, and they are."

"I should call your Dad. He'll put a stop to this." Walker said, moving through the kitchen to where her phone was sitting on a counter.

"You can't call my Dad, Walker."

"I need to call him, so he can put a stop to this."

"You can't call him."

"Really?! Why not?!"

"Well first, because he's no long a part of HPG, and this eviction has nothing to do with him. And second, because my Dad doesn't have a phone anymore."

"He doesn't have a phone?! Why wouldn't he have a phone? Everyone has a phone! Why wouldn't someone like Mitchum have a phone? That just doesn't make any sense."

"He just doesn't. After my Dad had his first heart attack last year, Logan took his phone away."

"Wait, your Dad had a heart attack?! And Logan took his phone?!"

"My Dad has had two heart attacks."

"When!? Is he ok?"

"They were within weeks of each other, last fall."

"But he's ok now?"

"He's got a live in nurse, but he's doing well."

"How come you didn't call me?"

"We chose to keep it quiet. Logan is one of Dad's doctors and completely took over Dad's life. Dad literally can't do a single thing without Logan's permission."

"So Logan is running the company then?"

"Nope!"

"What?!"

"Logan didn't want it."

"So then who is running HPG? Did your Dad give it to you?"

"Nope! I didn't want it either."

"So then what happened? Did you guys sell it?"

"No, HPG is still in the family. It's just being run by someone that no one ever expected. And she's doing an incredible job! HPG has never been doing better. Even when my Dad was in change, HPG had a ton of issues. Things are doing a lot better now. HPG is thriving!"

"Without Mitchum?!" Walker asked, shock evidence in her voice.

"It's doing better than ever now that my Dad isn't around to completely screw things up, and waste a ton of money."

"He was wasting money?"

"He was wasting millions a month. That's why this apartment is being sold. HPG has a bunch of unnecessary properties that the new CEO has decided to sell."

"They are really going to kick me out of my home, just so they can sell it?"

"This apartment is costing them a ton of money, Walker. You aren't paying any rent, so every month that you are here, they are losing thousands of dollars."

"But Mitchum gave me this apartment. It's my home!"

"I'm really sorry, Walker."

"I just don't understand how they can do this to me. There has to be someone that I can call. Someone will let me stay here. Who is the new CEO?"

"Rory is."

"Rory?"

"Rory. Logan's wife."

"Wait, what?!"

"Logan's wife is the CEO."

"Are you for real!?"

"I am very real. Rory took over for Dad after his first heart attack, and she's doing a wonderful job."

"Really?! How can you even say that?! She's kicking me out of my home!"

"It's nothing personal, Walker. It's business. And they gave you plenty of notice."

"But they're kicking me out of my home."

"It's a business decision. This apartment is costing the company a ton of money."

"I don't care! This is my home! Mitchum gave it to me!"

"Mitchum isn't with the company anymore, Walker. He isn't in charge of what happens."

"But this doesn't make any sense to me. How can Logan's wife take over and the decide to kick me out of my home?! Does she even know who I am?!"

"Rory knows all about you. She's met you, remember?"

"But she's kicking me out of my home! Does she know that?!"

"She knows all about it."

"What about Logan? Logan wouldn't allow his wife to kick me out. Logan and I are friends."

"Logan helped file the paperwork."

"Are you serious?!"

"Walker, we really should start packing."

"I just can't believe this! Logan is allowing his wife to kick one of his friends out of their home?! I should call him."

"You can't call Logan."

"And why not?"

"Because Logan won't talk to you."

"Logan loves me." Walker protested.

"No Walker, he doesn't. And Logan has a lot going on right now. You can't call him. This is the last thing that Logan needs to deal with. Everything was turned over to the company's attorneys. The paperwork was filed and signed by a judge. Everything has already been finalized. There isn't anything that you can do at this point, unless you suddenly run to the bank, and put down a huge chunk of money to buy the place. That is about the only way out of moving that I can think of."

"So what the hell am I supposed to do then?!"

"You are supposed to pack up your belongings and move out."

"And where the hell am I supposed to go?!"

"I have no idea, Walker. Maybe you should call your parents?"

"My parents aren't even in the country right now."

"Where are they?"

"They're in Portugal."

"That sounds fun."

"My Dad retired last year, and they've been sailing their yacht around the world. They didn't even come home for Christmas."

"Your parents missed Christmas?!"

"They said that it was too cold here. They bought a condo on some beach in Australia."

"Wow! That sounds really nice. Australia is gorgeous!" Honor told her.

"I haven't been in a while."

"Well why don't you call them. Maybe you can go travel together, as a family."

"I haven't traveled with my parents since I was 12."

"Well, you're almost 40 now, so maybe it's time to get to know them again."

"I am NOT almost 40!" Walker protested.

"You're 38, Walker. That's a lot closer to 40 than it is to 20."

"I refuse to be that old!"

"Walker, come on. You need to move out of this apartment in the next 5 days, and you have nowhere else to go. I think it's a good time to call you parents."

"I am much too old to go back to living with my parents."

"Well you really need to figure something out within the next few days."

"I have nowhere to go, Honor! This is my home! Can't you call Logan and tell him to talk to his wife?"

"I'm sorry Walker, I can't."

"So you are just going to allow your brother's crazy wife to go on a total power trip then, and kick your best friend out of her home?!"

"This has nothing to do with me, Walker. I'm trying to be nice by coming here, and bringing you boxes. I'll even help you pack. Maybe you have a friend that you can stay with?"

"Like who?!"

"I have no idea."

"The only person who I really talk to anymore, is you."

"What about your friend Angel?"

"Angel has 5 kids and moved to Minnesota."

"Wow! What about Abagail?"

"She lives in Hawaii with her boyfriend."

"Ok, what about Malyssa?"

"She just got married and moved to Japan."

"Malyssa moved to Japan?"

"She married some computer geek that works for a company in Japan."

"Wow! That's awesome!"

"You and Alexandra are the only two people left in the city, and she's always traveling for modeling stuff."

"Yeah, I talked to her a couple months ago. She's still with Victor. They've been doing the long distance thing since college."

"Alexandra doesn't even have her own place."

"I know, she's always staying in hotels or crashing with Victor the few days a year when she actually sees him."

"That girl is crazy!"

"She loves her career though." Honor smiled. "I'm really proud of her. She's done very well for herself."

"So unless I can stay with you, I literally have nowhere else to go."

"I'm sorry Walker, but I can't. I'm about to have a baby, and I just kicked my parents out of my house."

"Does Logan still live with you?"

"Nope! He moved out last summer. Logan has a really nice house nearby."

"See! So I literally have nowhere else to go."

"Well the best advice that I can give you, Walker, is to call your parents."

"My parents aren't even in the country."

"Well, what about their house? Maybe you can go stay there while they're gone."

"I can't. My brother lives there."

"Your parents place is huge."

"My brother has 3 kids. I hate kids! And his wife hates me. She calls me a whore."

"Well, I don't know what to tell you then, Walker. But I think I'm gonna go." Honor said as she stood from her seat and pulled her phone from her purse.

"Honor, you don't have to go."

"Yes, I do. I've tried to help you here, but clearly nothing I say is getting through to you, so I'm just going to go. I have things that I need to get done today, so I'm going to head out. It was nice to see you again. Good luck with your move." Honor told her as she headed for the door to Walker's apartment. "Just remember, you need to be out by Monday, or the Sheriff's Department will remove you, and change the locks."

"But today is Wednesday!" Walker said as Honor opened the door, and moved to step through it.

"Yes, I know. You've got 5 days. Good luck!" Honor said with a soft smile, then closed the door behind her, leaving Walker all alone.
