Synopsis: "The Many Arms of Death makes their presence known in Gotham once again, after weeks of inactivity, by attacking a top-secret research facility in order to search for something specific. While the GCPD and the Crows are confused by the motives behind this attack, Team Batwoman's investigation into the manifest list shocks Kate to the core when she realizes that a key item on the list is an advanced version of a component for a dangerous device that the Kali Corporation attempted to create years ago when she was in Coryana."

Disclaimer/Info?: Nothing really to share, this chapter did end up around the length I expected, and I think it still went quite well. This is the start for the remainder of the season, with more twists and turns coming along. I hope everyone enjoyed the little break with the crossover. I think now I'm closer to finding my footing for this series. Can say I've become faster at pumping it out again. Maybe I'll beat Batwoman season 3 to get to season 3?! Let's not bet on it, lol. I'm excited for the rest of the season and believe at this point, I've got my clear vision. Initially, I couldn't say I did confidently. Now I can. Thanks for sticking around, I might not have this "disclaimer" part anymore, or every chapter.

A few goons walked around an abandoned building, sensing some kind of trouble or figure of the night stalking them. Guns drawn, then heard a noise and processed to investigate.

"Who's there?" One asked.

"Trouble." A voice replied and hooked onto one, bringing them up high.

The goons began shooting wildly to where their buddy got grabbed.

"We're in trouble here!" Another exclaimed.

"You've got that right." The voice replied and leaped down. It was naturally Batwoman. They all rushed at her. She smiled and ducked, knocking two of them over with a low kick to the lags. Then jumped back at kicking another with the full force of her body.

A fourth goon processed to try hitting her with their rifle, which she grabbed and smacked him with it a couple of times. With a quick motion, she tossed it at goon number five, knocking them out cold. Four wasn't done yet and tried tackling her, getting a couple of hits to her mask. This made her unhappy, and she twisted his arm, nearly snapping it until he moved off her allowing her to kick him into unconsciousness a few times.

Goons six & seven opened fire as they had clear shots. Of course, it didn't work as she walked towards them, having all the bullets bounce off. The two dropped the guns and rushed at her. Batwoman quickly moved to the side as they tried swinging, grabbing one, throwing him to the ground and giving a knockout punch to the face. The last one standing wanted to hit her, but she twisted his arm as well, dragging him along. Then throw him through a wall, which was already falling apart and made of wood.

Batwoman stepped through the wall finding who she was looking for.

"You always have to make an entrance, don't you?" Alice asked with a smirk. "What did these poor fools do to you? They're not exactly a threat, is someone angry?"

She stepped forwards. "Annoyed, more like. I've searched for you for over two weeks."

"Well, aren't you bad at looking? Or maybe I'm just a great hider!" Alice laughed and poured a drink. "You know, if only you questioned me when you had the chance a month ago. How sad." She started drinking. "What do you want?"

Batwoman crossed her arms. "The Many Arms of Death. Safiyah. How do you know her? This group?"

"So, curiosity has caught you huh? Step into my office. Let's talk." Alice said, taking another long sip.

Batwoman

Staring/Cast

Everyone seen in season 1 or 2, or etc, is the same, including Ruby Rose as Kate Kane.

Vanessa Morgan is Ryan Wilder.

Stephanie Beatriz is Renee Montoya.

Adesua Etomi-Wellington is Knife aka Tahani.

Alice sat on a couch while Batwoman stood.

"Is this your newest hideout?" She asked.

With a scoff, she replied. "Indeed, sister. For now, I'll find a new one. More secure! I'm hiding from our mutual friend. Or friends? You asked me how I know about them and could ask you the same."

"I'm not going to answer your questions. You're lucky I'm not going to send you back to Arkham. You answer mine." Kate said aggressively.

Alice frowned. "Why so anger, sis?"

"Do I really need to answer that?"

"Please do. And I'll tell you about Safiyah."

Batwoman crossed her arms. "Working with an imposter Bruce Wayne to kill me, bringing back Scarecrow. Those are just highlights of what I know you've done recently."

"Well, I do have a right to be mad at you," Alice said confidently.

Kate just stared at her. "You can't be serious."

"Oh, but I am. You locked me up! Abandoned me!" She exclaimed.

"You're a serial killer! Be grateful I'm not throwing you right back in Arkham." Batwoman said coldly, getting in her face.

"And why's that? Not from your loving heart, that's for sure!"

She backed up. "Yeah, your right. You know about Safiyah and the group, I'd give a wager they're not pleased with you. Meaning I leave you out. They spend time searching for you. If I put you Arkham, they know exactly where you are. And Arkham was already attacked due to your buddy."

Alice leaned forwards. "My 'buddy' betrayed me, just like Mouse. Surprise number one, the old straw head seems to be working with Safiyah! Captured me, for her."

"Really? Why'd she let you go? This doesn't make sense. Nor does how on earth you know her." Kate reminded me.

"Yes, yes. Then. I met her years ago. I was alone, lost. She likes those kinda people, ones with nothing, finding themselves."

Kate nodded. "I know."

"Do you? She is an ex-love dear sister?"

"I'm not answering. Continue," Kate responded coldly in tone.

Alice persisted. "Come on, at least tell me where you got to hear about The Many Arms of Death. Seems like you've learnt some new information. Perhaps has to do with that ninja business? I recall from when we last talked, you didn't appear to even know about what dearest Safiyah is doing."

"Fine. You clearly know their terrorists. Right?" Questioned Kate.

"Bingo."

"And know about Knife somehow too, I'd wager. Maybe learnt some of your knife welding skills from her, an assassin who trained under The League of Assassins."

Alice clapped. "Aren't you clever?"

"Talia Al Ghul told me, who happens to be an ex of Batman. I trust her. Mostly, for sure more than I do with you."

She laughed. "Our cousin Bruce, what a taste in certain bad girls he has, fell head over heels for that cat and a former member of the fearsome League of Assassins. Interesting man wouldn't you say?"

"When did you figure out he was Batman? Quickly after you discovered my identity I assume?"

"Well. No. I'm embarrassed, took quite a long time actually, Tommy that idiot had to say it. Blew my mind. Until I realized, it was quite obvious, you getting the suit, hanging around Wayne Tower, all those fun toys. A whopse on my part!"

"Now, I told you where I got intel, I need more. I don't know how this happened to Safiyah, if this was the woman I always knew, or if something changed her. Oh and her plans, it's clearly bigger than a vendetta against us. So tell me what you know."

She sighed and rolled her eyes. "I was alone and broken, sister. Couldn't come back home to Gotham, you all thought I was dead, and besides, you went off on your travels by then. I was on a ship, heading to who knows where, lucky me, it got raided by pirates. Took us to guess where? I thought I'd die, a prisoner once again. I was saved, however, by a woman, called herself, Knife."

"She helped you?"

"At that time, yes. Killed all our captures. Gave us all a choice after, join a greater cause, find a purpose. Or get back on the ship, as if nothing happened. I chose the former. What else to lose right? Then, my memory is fuzzy. I recall Safiyah teaching me things, to let go of the past. I didn't. Stayed for, a year, maybe two. Left. That's all." She said with a smile, which didn't give confidence.

Batwoman moved close. "You're keeping things, I can tell."

Alice nodded. "Yes, I'm withholding something. Of course, I need to be useful to my dear sister somehow, right?"

Kate grit her teeth. "If you want to be helpful, call me. I've got other things to do. People to help and protect." She said, jumping out the window making her leave. Breaking the glass window.

"That wasn't nice! You could've opened it!" Alice exclaimed and sat back down, remembering the past, years ago.

Alice remembered sitting in a room, unsure what the future held. A woman who gave off an imposing presence, but oddly warming as well.

"Alice is it? No last name, which is curious, but I don't judge. Why do you want to join us? Our organization, it's not easy. Lots of time and requires losing part of yourself. And a rebirth to become greater, happier. I know Tahani explains well to those who've chosen to come forward. Or at least the best she can. You know, I'll be honest with you, this is a fresh start for me, for her too." The woman said, Safiyah.

"Why a fresh start for you both? You seem quite confident, for the few people I've met in my life. Seems like your happy." She noticed, confused.

Safiyah bent down to Alice, who was sitting in a chair. "People don't always look the same on the outside, doesn't always reflect internally. For example, I see the pain inside you, tell me, what's happened?"

She looked down, and Safyiah grabbed her hand. "Trust me, you've experienced a lot of hardship. I can see it. The pain you've felt?"

"What? You want to see my scars?"

"Your hiding, from the pain. You need to fight it head-on."

Beth shook her head. "No, how would that help? Or even connect to your organization? Whatever you do."

"We make money, in less than legal ways. With that money and the resources at our disposal, we can do many things, many ways of working towards change." She replied confidently with a smile.

"I was held hostage for years, can't see my family and I have a great desire to inflict violence to feel better. How could you possibly help me?" Alice continued to wonder skeptically.

Safiyah nodded. "Take my hand and allow me to show you."

Alice came back to the present, scoffing at the memories. Then looked into a mirror, wondering if she should help Kate.

Elsewhere with Batwoman, she rode around on her bike as Luke began talking on coms. "Hey, we've got a break-in. From the sounds of it, might be The Many Arms of Death."

"You could just say Safiyah," Kate replied and sighed. "Where is it?"

"Downtown Gotham, the facility is called Eastman Corp. Never heard of them before. Apparently, this is some sort of top-secret research facility. Doesn't sound so great, differently a place of illegal experiments or something sinister. " Luke pointed out with curiosity and concern.

"Do you know a lot about companies in Gotham?

He nodded to himself. "You bet, I like keeping up to date on new ones in Gotham. Keep an eye out for anything suspicious. They've not been on my radar, weird."

"I remember their name, are GCPD there?"

"Yeah and the Crows. Must be serious business. I'm going to get the manifest list, shouldn't be too hard to cross-reference with whatever is missing."

She pondered further. "I got a nasty feeling about this place. I'm coming back. Call Ryan and Mary too if you get ahold of her."

"Are you hiding something?" Luke asked.

She hung up on him and speeded back to the cave. Racing with her thoughts starting to remember the name of that corporation.

Ryan was at home on an oldish computer, which she had been using for years judging the usage.

Her love and sat on her lap. "What are you up to tech wiz?" She asked slyly.

"Nothing much might sound silly, checking Facebook, you know, feeling nostalgic," Ryan replied.

"Really? Any reason?" She asked.

Ryan shrugged. "Not really, whatever. What's up?"

"Nothing, checking on you, wondering if you're being careful online. You know?"

"Somebody a little paranoid?" Ryan asked cheekily.

Whisper shook her head. "I'm serious, I am worried if somebody could like track us. I just wanna get the hell out of Gotham. How are things with Kate Kane? That apparent job of yours?"

"Yeah, right, that. Still, uh, getting the specifics of it. Not even sure if it's a paying one, whatever it'll end up turning into."

She sighed. "Come on, a rich girl like that, she's gotta give you some cash. Just for wasting your time."

"It's not a waste, I've learnt some stuff," Ryan said, trying to be careful of her words.

"Such as?"

Ryan shrugged. "Um, techy stuff, business stuff?"

"Lots of stuff." She pointed out.

With a nod she replied.

"Come on, you don't gotta be so cryptic unless she made you sign a nondisclosure agreement or something?"

Ryan sparked up. "Yes! Yes, she did. Don't really know why."

"Could be a criminal, like I said."

"No, you're wrong, maybe a little shady, dark, secretive. Not a criminal! Well, actually, I'm not sure about the laws entirely. Maybe I should research that."

"As long as you're not going to get arrested or make me have to do something drastic to get us outta town."

Ryan frowned. "Do we really have to leave Gotham that badly? I swear it's all that's on your mind."

Her love looked at her puzzled. "Why do you wanna stay? What's this stinking city done for you? Or me. This place is full of crime. Even if somehow we could get out of this dangerous situation of people I've pissed off and owe money to, who's to say you won't get shot walking down the street in our lovely new neighbourhood? I mean, nowhere is safe in Gotham!" She pointed out.

"Yeah, true." She looked down and felt her phone buzzing. "Oh that's the office, I should get going, wouldn't want to piss off potential criminals right?" She joked.

"Stay safe." Her love said dead serious.

"Right back at you," Ryan replied.

Kate entered the cave determined.

"You got that list?" She asked coming over to Luke.

"Indeed, just got in a couple of minutes ago." He replied and pointed to it.

Julia walked in with Mary behind them. "Hello, early mornings huh? Not even sure of the bloody time now."

"It's the morning," Mary replied, rolling her eyes.

"And you never heard of sleeping. What's the matter?" She questioned now turning her attention to Luke.

"It's that Safiyah person. Or at least pretty sure of it." Responded Luke.

Kate stared at the list intently. "Damn." She mattered.

Her three friends looked at her concerned.

"Years ago, when I met Safiyah one goal we had was breaking into this lab run by The the Kali Corporation. We managed to destroy it. It was obviously before she managed to take over the company. We stole the schematics as well. She promised me it was destroyed. I shouldn't have trusted her. It's a far more advanced version of that component that was part of the device being built. She wants to recreate it. The only question is, why?" Kate wondered to herself.

Julia shrugged. "With her, who knows. Your father and Sophie have been investigating. They've been trying to keep it silent, whatever the Kail Corporation wants. Another question, why the devil would she want to steal it? Her corporation is rich. She would have surely bought it right?"

Mary looked at her and crossed her arms. "Perhaps she tried, but it didn't work. Then got her people to steal it. They'd have to have some kind of transaction reported that could be tied back to her?" She wondered allowed.

"Your right, I'll hack in. Maybe I can find something, evidence? Or an anonymous tip of where to start looking." Luke said getting to work.

"Where's Ryan? I'm going to try to find a lead, that component must be getting transported out of Gotham, which means a dock most likely, tell her to get ready to get on the move."

"And where exactly are you going?" Asked Mary.

Kate didn't answer and left on her bike.

"Could you please learn more about trust and communication!" She exclaimed but knew even if Kate heard, she'd likely not listen.

Mary rolled her eyes. "I should go to the clinic, come adjoined twin!" She said allowed.

"Sounds like my que. Another fun day." Julia whispered to Luke.

"Hey, actually, could I talk to you for a minute?" Luke said looking as he remembered something critical.

"Thank the heathens." She mattered. "Mary stay put, I don't want to hunt you down again!" She exclaimed.

Mary shrugged. "I always enjoyed a little hide and seek."

"Right, Julia. Here's the thing, I'm sure you saw Kate had an adventure with Superman a couple weeks back, right?"

"Right." She replied. "Bruce knew Superman, did he mention anything about him?"

Luke nodded. "Indeed, yeah he did. Kate and I, we didn't really say anything till now cause, it was a disappointment. A woman named Talia A-"

"I know about Talia, dad told me about their complicated history." She cut him off.

"Great, what isn't great is apparently she knows where Bruce is located and won't tell us, she believes it's best we don't know. Which, honestly, I don't know Julia. I'm conflicted how to feel."

"And let me guess, Kate's not talking about it? I swear, the only thing she's open about is her sexuality." Julia remarked.

He couldn't help smile at that, knowing it was true and continued speaking. "True enough. Do you have any idea about Bruce's whereabouts? Have you heard from your dad at least at all since 2015?"

"Yeah, occasionally. Only on birthdays and such. Not for long, I've tried tracking before, lots of ways of stopping a clear track."

"Darn, maybe we'll hear from him again, someday." Luke sighed.

"I should get going, watching after Mary."

Luke nodded in agreement. "Yes please go keep her out of trouble."

"Sounds like you care, just a little." Julia replied slyly with a wink then started leaving with Mary before stopping after they left the cave. Seeming to be thinking about something quite heavily. "Hey, go ahead of me and don't drive off."

"I can't drive! One way I can't escape."

Julia stepped away and called someone on the phone.

Alice sat around frustrated and looked out the window, concerned expecting Safiyah to find her again sooner than later. She didn't want to be fearful of her enemy continuously having an eye on her.

The phone rang, it was Kate.

"Oh, finally sis! I've been wondering when you'd call!"

"It's not even been an hour. A great coincidence has happened, I talk to you and Safiyah's people resurface, steal something of great value which could be putting a lot of lives at risk. You need to tell me the truth. What do you know about her? You must know what she's planning or anything of use."

She sighed. "Fine. I'll tell you more about my tragic past."

Alice began to tell a story.

8 months into my time on the island, Safiyah once again came to visit me while getting trained more often. She saw me sometimes, but recently it was more. I wondered why, but I didn't have to wait long to discover why, or at least one reason.

Alice was using knives to hit targets, along with Knife, who was competing against her to see how had better accuracy. Some others tried as well to try out doing her, but it never worked out, pointless fighting to prove superiority.

Both women enjoyed this battle against one another, kept each other from getting lazy, it was clear from their faces it was enjoyable. Safiyah found it entertaining to watch as well, but it wasn't the reason for her visit. As they warped up she approached.

"Good work, quite an amount of skill Alice, improving, slowly, but surely."

Tahani looked slightly impressed at Alice, giving an approving nod to the woman. Which was appreciated with a smile back.

Safiyah looked down at a device for a moment before putting it away and had a great smile at the two. "Perhaps she's finally ready for a real mission."

"A mission, yes, I've nearly forgotten I'd need to do one."

Safiyah just looked at her with a strange expression. She continued. "You're ready. There are some targets present, rivals of the company. I offered a sit down, it was a lie. You're both going to execute them, after their capture and interrogation." She said in a different tone than Alice had known till this point.

"Murders? After all this time and training, my first task is to commit murders? How is that going to help me?"

I felt Safiyah's glare at me. Burnt into my mind. Alice pointed out to Kate, who was completely silent during the story. Alice continued her recount.

"Quid pro quo, Alice. Accept that you're going to be helping us, it's for the best. Besides, these are criminals, not worth your pity." She walked away.

"Is this really how it works around here?" Questioned Alice turning to Tahani

She nodded. "Safiyah knows best, I believe that." She walked away as well.

End of the story, for now.

Kate shook her head. "I can't believe Safiyah is this woman."

"To think, you loved somebody like that. And yet, you can't find a way to love your only sister?" Alice pointed out.

"I didn't know about how clearly evil and twisted she is. You're simpler to understand."

Alice scoffed. "Maybe I'm not as simple as you think?" She suggested and hung up.

Kate sighed frustrated.

Then Luke patched in. "Hey, Ryan's here, on speaker now. Where did you want her to meet you?" He questioned.

Kate thought before saying her answer.

Elsewhere, Sophie once again entered her boss's office. She didn't feel it was going to be promising, which was seeable from her face.

"Sir? You wanted to see me?"

He nodded. "We got a tip a heist might have ties to that Safiyah Sohail, assuming she does, I want her dealt with. Could be a good chance to nail her on a crime."

"Is that all?" She asked, confused.

"No, you know I'm disappointed in you. Trusting Batwoman is a mistake-"

"I'm aware, sir, not the first time you've told me." Sophie replied frustrated.

Jacob sat back. "You've done good work in your time here. I'm disappointed you're risking everything for Batwoman, someone you didn't even know."

"Don't we protect people we don't know every day, sir? That seems the same, she's helping people, maybe has made mistakes along the way, but overall is a force for good. Commissioner Montoya can see that." She pointed out to him.

"The GCPD has itself a habit of being lazy."

Sophie sighed. "Do I have to listen to this?"

"Fine, can I ask your option on this Superman situation?" Jacob asked sitting back.

"What about it?"

"It's mixed around here, I'm conflicted personally. A man so heroic, one's cousin helped my daughter, a good heroic woman as well and both of them saving, helping god knows how many others, defending a man like Batman? It's unbelievable."

"Maybe we were wrong about him. We weren't really here during his hay day. Can't judge him too much. Perhaps we haven't been fair, too closed-minded on what's needed to protect this city." Sophie replied.

Jacob shook his head. "Batman, Batwoman, their criminals. We are the ones meant to be protecting Gotham! Everything we do is for the city's best interests, people like them taking the law into their own hands hasn't done anything good for this city long term. My stance won't change just due to a good man and yourself being fooled by the bats. I wish we'd get on the same page again. I miss that." Jacob confessed.

Sophie frowned and left his office.

Jacob sighed as Sophie left, it was clear they were both having relations break down further. Still, in his mind, he knew he had to stay the course of bringing down Batwoman.

Batwoman looked on towards a building, in part an office in it, a fancy one with a woman working on her computer, doing who knows what.

"This doesn't seem like the best idea," Ryan said, coming up behind Kate meeting her on a rooftop overlooking their target.

"Desperate times call for risk plans," Kate replied.

Her partner screeched her head. "That doesn't sound exactly right."

"Just get ready, once we bust in that window guards are going to over us pretty fast."

"Right, how are busting in?"

"You have the line launcher right?"

She nodded.

"Then follow my lead."

Kate shot it out, hitting just above the windows being looked at.

After a moment of doubt on her face, Ryan followed up doing the same, going to the window right beside.

Batwoman nodded to her and they both hopped on zipping towards the windows, crashing right into a head office, finding Safiyah sitting at a desk. Before she had a moment to react, Batwoman and Ryan together pushed her desk against the wall pinning her.

"Watch the door," Batwoman whispered to Ryan, as she got in Safiyah's face. Along with putting a small device next to the computer.

"Unexpected of you, impressive going head first, I wondered if you kept a little bit of that riskiness of yours, after all these years."

"Where is the component!" Batwoman asked aggressively.

She didn't answer.

Batwoman grit her teeth. "I don't want to hurt you, but I'm not going to let that device be recreated."

Safiyah looked at her dead in the eyes, empty, not phased in the slightest.

Like expected, guards bust through the door blowing it open in fact tossing in flashbangs. Ryan didn't expect this and was distracted for a few moments getting the drop on her beating on her.

Without a second thought, she went to go help Ryan, while Safyiah moved the desk away and ran into a hidden safe room that opened up, not before shooting her computer. She opened her phone entering it for safety. "Call the Crows, inform them Batwoman has broken into my offices."

There wasn't anything Batwoman could do as she battled against the security who had battens out ready to fight. She helped Ryan get her attackers off and got shoulder to shoulder, getting ready to fight the rest. They both kicked back the first ones coming to attack, knocking them back into their buddies, Batwoman leaped against the wall smacking down two guards, but they kept up, fighting back. Ryan tried copying Kate, but it didn't work out as well, missing her attack, so she shrugged and picked up one of the battens using it to help in the fight. She managed to hit three of the guards with it before getting it smacked out of her hands.

Batwoman grabbed onto one of the guards and directed them as a human shield on her path to get closer to Ryan.

"More guards coming!" She pointed out to her partner. "We've gotten leave now. Hold onto me!" Batwoman exclaimed, trying to keep the guards at a distristence so they'd be able to escape.

Ryan did so and processed to smack a couple who tried blocking their escape trying to box them in.

Together they pushed back enough and leaped out the window.

"This is a terrible idea!" Ryan exclaimed as they fell.

Batwoman grappled onto the nearby building, pulling them to safety.

"Please tell me we got the data or whatever." Ryan asked into comms.

"Yes, I've got it." Luke replied. "Got just her emails, which is enough, their encrypted, but I should be able to crack them."

"Great." Batwoman sighed with relief.

Jacob Kane and Sophie arrived on the scene with a few other Crows.

"A robbery occurs and Batwoman goes to question our suspect, I doubt that's a coincidence." Sophie said, looking at her boss as they entered the building.

He sighed. "Perhaps it's a sign we're barking up the right tree."

"If we talked to her maybe we could learn something useful." She pointed out.

Jacob ignored that comment.

"Could I hang back?" Sophie asked.

"Why?" He questioned.

She thought for a moment. "Don't believe I'll be helpful with questioning."

"If that's your professional option, I respect it." He replied, a bit skeptical of her reasoning behind not joining in the talk.

Jacob carefully went up to Safiyah shaking her hand, while he tried to hide his discontent for the woman, knowing she was doing something dangerous in Gotham without a doubt.

"Batwoman attacked my office. I'm quite upset over the situation." She began.

"I'm here on orders from the Mayor. It seems like you have some sort of understanding." He replied.

She ignored him. "I want security set up outside, in case she'd return. Are bounties accepted in your city?"

Commander Kane shook his head. "No. I'll have you arrested if a bounty showed up, with connections to you."

"I doubt your Mayor would like that." She replied.

"I'm doubtful the people of Gotham would tolerate the Mayor knowing some corporate big shot put out a bounty on the city's apparent hero."

Safiayh got close. "She's not a hero."

"I agree. Still, I'm not allowing a bounty put on anyone's head in my city."

She stared at him for a moment. "Make sure you have a team present. 24/7." Safiayh said, starting to walk away.

"Why did Batwoman attack your office? I'm not a fool, she always goes after people who've done something to gain her attention."

"She's clearly mistaken. That woman can hold grudges, can lie to people who she loves and do it all right under your nose." Safiayh said, turning to look back with a spiteful look on her face, then left.

Jacob's was puzzled by what was said. It could've been her trying to though him onto a wild goose chase, or could it have meant something important.

Back in The Batcave, the team had regrouped, along with Julia.

"I've just about creaked it. Before you ask." Luke said. "And done! Here is everything in the emails."

The team collectively looked at them.

Kate looked closely. "Check the one mentioning the Mayor." She said suspiciously.

"What the heck does the Mayor have to do with anything? I knew something was always off with that guy!" Mary exclaimed.

"It might be nothing." Luke replied hopefully.

"Unclear." Kate looked closely and took overlooking entirely. "He's brought guns off Safiayh's company. The question would be, why?"

"Could he have a side business? You know, being the Mayor doesn't bring that much money in your know." Mary pointed out.

Julia sighed. "It's for his security detail. I recall the weapons. Different from the Crows and GCPD. They're pretty efficient, at a lower cost too. My guess would be it was a gift to give the company a little more, lenience."

"I'd take a guess too and say it's why she's not been caught yet." Kate replied, crossing her arms.

Julia nodded. "Terrorist groups trying to blend in sometimes, ie the shell company and getting on friendly terms with higher-ups to avoid attention. Classic evil organization."

"Found the docks their leaving from with that component you're so worried about. What exactly is so scary about it?" Luke questioned seriously.

"I'll tell you once I get back and Julia, stay here too. Ryan, let's go."

"Could I have a couple more minutes?" Ryan asked with a hint of sarcasm.

"We're going now." Kate responded.

She nodded and they left once again.

Luke sighed turning to Julia and Mary. "It's frustrating me she's not telling us everything." He pointed out.

"When Kate's keeping a secret, I'm sure it's for the best," Julia said confidently.

"Was it really for the greater good or protecting me for not telling me the truth?" Mary asked in response.

"Or when she accidentally killed Cartwright and covered that up." Luke added.

Julia paused for a moment. "Secrets can have their importance. I'll be right back. I need some air." She said walking out.

"Alright. So uh, how's your day going, Mary?" Luke questioned.

"Alright." She replied awkwardly. "How about you?"

"Same." He replied awkwardly as well.

"Are you seeing anyone?" She asked, looking at him.

"No, are you?"

She hastated. "Nope."

He nodded awkwardly. "I-I got some work to do. Maybe I should check the rest of Safiayh's emails.

"Are you sure it can't wait?"

"Yeah, pretty sure. I'm sorry." Luke said, with a hint of disappointment creeping into his voice.

She nodded and sat beside him.

Batwoman and Ryan rode to Safiayh's shipping location.

"Do we have more of a game plan this time around?" Ryan asked.

"Yeah, I'll think of one. It's important to remember however, the game plans aren't set in stone. Winging it, pretty critical to staying alive."

Ryan nodded. "Yeah, I've noticed that. Being around Whisper, getting into the fights I have. Just always hate going in blind."

"I'm with you." Kate replied. "And here we are. Let's get up to a vantage point."

They did so, getting a good look at the ship being used and the dock, filled with armed guards patrolling.

Kate zoomed in with her bat vision or whatever, she didn't have a name for it. Looking close she found the signature of the engine, then formed her plan.

"Game plan right?" Kate said, turning to Ryan.

"Right."

"Here's the plan. I need you to destroy their engine so that they can't leave. I'll cover you and district all the armed goons. And now, we call commissioner Montoya. This operation is illegal, meaning they'll get the component, put it into evidence and it'll be safe from Safiayh."

Ryan nodded, and the two heroes went down to put this plan into action.

Batwoman landed down, tightening her fits, charging towards par guards walking along the boat, grabbing them and smacking their heads together.

"Nighty night. Come on Ryan, we gotta move. Or rather you do." She tapped into coms. "Luke pull up the layout of this ship and direct Ryan."

"And you're going to kick some butt right?" He replied.

"Indeed I am." Kate responded confidently, hopping down onto the dock getting into full view of the guards below, who all promptly pointed their guns at her.

Batwoman hand gestured to them to try attacking.

While she did, Ryan inside the ship quickly searched for the engine. Finding resistance quickly getting jumped. She managed to defeat them easily enough. "Alright. Luke please tell me I'm going the right way!"

"Yep. Keep going, once you get to the engine, well, I'm not exactly sure of the best way of destroying it."

"Don't worry, I've got a handle on how to break crap." Ryan replied with a slight smirk.

Batwoman fought against Safiayh's people. She could tell they were just fodder, not true threats to her safety.

Upon thinking this, Knife started to approach, hopping down from the ship. Wearing a creepy mask. "Your interference ends here." She said angered.

"You want a rematch so soon?" Batwoman asked cocky.

"Letting you ruin our plans isn't an option." She replied, pulling her knives out.

"How did fighting me go last time huh?"

Knife grit her teeth. "I'll be more valent this time. Safiayh isn't here. She wants you to live, not harmed, I can manage the living part and you don't have backup either. You're out matched!"

Batwoman didn't respond and tried kicking her, but missed. Swiftly a knife was swung at the hero, cutting the suit slightly.

"What the hell?" She questioned upon seeing it.

"Found a couple blades that can kill you. Surprised?" Knife continued swinging at her seeking blood.

Now more on the defensive, Batwoman had to be more careful with fighting her. Dogging the knives had more importance, she kept up with each swing and grabbed Knife's arms making the knives fall. With that, kicked her lag putting her to the ground. This gave a slight moment of overconfidence, which was a mistake as Knife pulled Kate right back down with her to the ground, getting her knives back sticking them in her face trying her best to dig down.

"Safiayh wouldn't love someone with a scared-up face!" She exclaimed.

"Quite, cruel," Batwoman replied, struggling to hold back the knife. She realized to use her lag getting it around. Knife now able to slightly push her off-center, which lead to an opening to break free. Batwoman twisted one of Knife's hand's and smacked her hard in the face.

A couple goons started to move in, likely to assist.

"No! She's mine!" Knife shouted and speedily slashed Batwoman again with her other hand, along with kicking her chest with the full force of her body.

Down in the ship, Ryan discovered the engine and started doing anything she could to damage it. Throwing things, hitting it and shoving things into it.

"Times like this, I wish I had an explosive gadget." Ryan muttered to herself and accidentally came into comms with Luke.

"Eventually, maybe we'll give you something that goes boom." He joked.

Which made her embarrassed, but it didn't matter as the engine started to spark and make horrible sounds.

"My cue to leave!" She said to herself and remembered to turn off comms.

Batwoman and Knife continued to battle as the engine could be heard exploding.

"What was that! Check!" Knife shouted at the goons.

"My guess, all yours and Safiayh dreams," Kate remarked sarcastically.

"Stalled me. Again."

"Yeah, worse than that, actually." She joked again, hearing police sirens coming nearer.

Knife frowned. "This isn't over. These mercenaries are expendable." She declared softly, starting to back up as they moved to attack Batwoman.

"Your component is gone. You sure about that?" Batwoman replied, then started to fight off the incoming mercs as GCPD rolled up with Montoya, as usual. They weren't stupid hired guns. They surrounded pretty fast giving up as Knife escaped.

Ryan came over, looking pretty satisfied with herself. "We won!" She said happily.

"For now." Kate reminded.

Montoya cleared her throat. "What exactly are we looking for?" She asked.

"You'll know it when you see it. Make sure it stays safe, the woman who wants it will kill anyone in her way." Batwoman said.

"Clearly, a lot of trouble for one piece. This many guys, a ship? Why a ship?"

"Her island doesn't like planes." Batwoman responded frowning.

Montoya looked at the large ship. "I take it these are the same people from a few weeks ago right?"

"Unfortunately." Batwoman replied then continued. "They're led by a woman named Safiayh Sohail. She's in Gotham, runs Kali Corporation."

"Ah, corporation, of course. Can't touch her then, not yet anyway. Doubt we'll be able to find anything to incriminate her regarding this mess."

Batwoman sighed. "Let's go, partner."

"I really came to think of a name." Ryan thought to herself.

They both left.

The two heroes returned back to the cave.

"I'm surprised things went according to plan, quite lucky." Julia remarked.

"More like pure skill, from Kate I mean. Not me." Ryan said smiling.

Kate put a hand on her shoulder. "You did good today. You went head to head against armed killers. That's pretty brave. You're doing great." She said to her encouragingly.

"So, everything is good now." Luke questioned.

"Yeah, maybe."

"Hey don't forget, you were going to tell us what the heck that piece was for!" Mary exclaimed, crossing her arms.

Kate sighed. "Fine. I'll tell." She looked at the ground for a moment. Then continued. "On the island, I helped her destroy plans for a device that would easily transmit viruses, along with the prototype device itself. Or something like that. All I knew was it would be a potential threat to the entire world if it fell into the wrong hands. Apparently, the thinking behind it was not sinister, but come on. We couldn't let it stand. All the deaths that could have occurred. She lied clearly, kept the plans. I remember getting a look at it, I've got a fantastic memory, not to brag." She paused, sighing. "The Many Arms of Death or her corporation want this, it'll only spell bad news."

"A virus? Who the hell would want to use one! I've seen what the flu can do to people, not to mention other weird viruses I've encountered, it's horrifying." Mary pointed out.

"Only people without hearts would do something like that, release a virus." Luke added.

Ryan nodded. "Or plain stupid."

"I need to learn more about The Many Arms of Death." Kate declared.

"And how exactly are you going to do that?" Luke questioned.

"I'll get back to you on that. Julia, I think we need to visit my dad." Said Kate turning to look over at her.

Together they left as Kate took the batsuit with her.

Jacob Kane sat in this office. Looking at any information about Safiayh Sohail he could find or discovered by Sophie. He grew frustrated. It all felt meaningless. All this intel and they hardly knew a thing about her. Or that company of her's, along with the Mayor giving another anger phone call for putting resources into investigating the mysterious woman. It only fueled his suspicion further. A lot was on his plate, this case, others which only seemed to grow in numbers, along with his intent on creating a unit to bring down Batwoman once and for all.

Adding to this, Kate walked into his office with Julia.

"Kate? It's been a while since I saw you, what do I owe the visit? I'm guessing, this isn't a social visit?"

She nodded to her father. "Sorry, I need to talk to you." Her face was severe.

Jacob understood and pressed a button under his desk. It processed to lock the door and block out any sound.

"Safiayh Sohail." Kate began.

"What about her?" Jacob questioned.

"I know her, or did rather, years ago while I was traveling the world. I'm ashamed now to admit that, knowing about all she's been doing while in Gotham."

Jacob looked curious. "How do you know what she's doing?"

"She visited me. Taunted me a bunch, said she had big plans for the city and told me a bunch of crimes she committed. I want to bring her down. And to do that, I need to go to her island. I'm going to need someone to come with me. That's where Julia comes in," Kate declared.

"Go to a hostile island filled with criminals? Why should I approve of this?" He asked, showing concern for his daughter.

"She's a risk to the whole city, I know her island well and could learn intel to stop her. Or what her goals are at the least."

"You could die."

"And so could you as the commander of the head security force of Gotham. You've got a target on your back every day and so do I. Being your daughter. I've wanted to serve, protect the ones I love, this is the way of doing that. And with Julia, I've got pretty great back up watching my back." Kate said convincingly.

"And both of you are going by yourselves to keep under the radar. No backup?"

They nodded.

Jacob sighed. "Yes, fine, I'll give you permission. Stay safe, don't take any necessary risks. And keep me updated! Call every day, I need to know what's happening. Got it?"

"Alright dad, I think I can manage that. Don't want you to wage war on the island if I don't call." She joked.

"I'll blow that woman's whole life up if she put a hand on you." Jacob said genuinely.

Kate nodded. "We should get going."

"I love you, Kate." He said softly.

"Love you too, dad." She replied looking at him.

He cleared his throat. "Talk to Moore. She should know you two are leaving." He reminded.

They walked out.

"Like he said, I should go tell Soph, she'd be worried and pissed if I just vanished right?" Julia said retorcly.

Kate agreed with her face. "I've got a couple things to attend to anyway."

As she left, Julia went over to Sophie. "Can we talk in private luv?"

"Oh yeah sure, you're not breaking up with me? Are you?" Sophie asked upon seeing Julia's concerned-looking face.

"No! Why would?"

"Never mind. Let's talk over here."

They walked out of ear range of every one of the Crows.

Sophie looked at her worried. "What's happening?"

"I've gotta help out Kate. Which means, I'm going to be kinda having a little sea trip. Safiayh Sohail, Kate knows about her island. Long story, I'll tell you more later."

"Kate knew about the crazy woman threatening us?"

"In fairness, Kate didn't know and hasn't seen her in years."

Sophie pondered. "Weird coincidence."

"Perhaps, I really should get going."

"Can't I come with you two? I can blend in."

Julia sighed. "No offence luv, I don't think it'd work out. We've both got knowledge of that bloody island, I'm an ex-spy and Kate can handle herself. Again no offence."

"I'm feeling a bit offended, Julia."

"Sorry, listen, I promise we'll be careful. I'm concerned in all honesty. She's a dangerous woman and that island. I don't want you in danger. Oh and besides, someone's gotta watch over Mary right?" She pointed out.

"Yeah, true. Alright. I love you Julia. Be safe and tell Kate to be safe, worried for you both." She said genuinely.

Julia nodded at her and left the building.

Meanwhile, Kate had suited up once again, standing on a rooftop, overlooking her city. Then made a call to her sister, Alice.

"Kate! Another call! I feel so flattered!" She exclaimed.

"Tell me the rest of your story." Kate said angered.

"Aggression, how interesting, tell me, tell me, did our mutual friend spit in your face?"

Batwoman grunted for a moment. "Tell me. Please, sis."

"Fine." Alice relented.

I listened to Safiayh's wishes, and Knife killed those businessmen, which I felt, not too sure how to describe. It wasn't the same feeling I get now. I'm not too sure as to why. Memory gets a little fuzzy, missing. Nevermind.

Alice approached Safiayh at her nice place of residence, a lovely view of the island. "It's done. Why did you call me?" She asked curiously.

"I'm proud of you."

She was surprised. "Proud? Of what? I just did as you asked."

Safiayh gave a smile. "Most people struggle with it, the killing part of our existence. I knew after you murdered the "red queen" as you put it, you'd have that fire inside of you." Safiayh said, coming close to her.

"What?" Alice was puzzled. "I'm not-"

"Shush, you've made me proud. I've got something to show you." She revealed a plant.

"It's quite beautiful. What is it?"

"We call it, The Desert Rose. It's rare, exclusively on this island, under the care of The Many Arms of Death, being us. It's the greatest resource we have, so I've been told. All my life, it was a legend, believed to be fake. Having the properties to cure anyone of any illness. We don't use it, unless absolutely necessary as we have little doses. However, we can create cures with it for viruses. We've done a lot of experimentation. Since I've taken over anyways. Those prior to myself, never dared played god, so they told me. It was pathetic."

Alice looked at her confused. "Why are you telling me all this?"

"This is the life I'm promising you. Felt like I should be upfront with you. Tell my secrets. All that I am. I didn't tell my old love. It backfired greatly. I'd not make the same mistakes over again." Safiayh went close and kissed her cheek. "You had a long day. Would you like to spend the night with me?"

I was naturally surprised by this. All of it. Quite a bit for a girl to take in. Now, she offered me comfort. I've not felt love in a while, so.

"Yes, I will," Alice replied.

Kate was shocked. "You slept with my ex?"

"In fairness, I didn't know she was. And you have to understand, it was a moment of weakness, I don't regret it however, I see what you saw in her."

"Did or do you love her?" Kate questioned seriously.

"No. I'm not sure. Unlike you sis, I never had time to explore myself. Perhaps I love who I love. Or did. That love is dead and buried, I can guarantee that. "

Kate sighed. "What the hell was the point of this story?"

An eye-roll so strong it could be felt through the phone line occurred on Alice's face. "I'm not going to spell it out for you. Sissy dear, you're smart. Figure it out. I'll say this at least, not sure if I made it clear, but I gifted Mary the Desert Rose in her blood anyways." She hung up.

Batwoman wrote down all that information Alice shared. Having this trip would give time to make conclusions. Maybe find a way to blow the whole mystery of Safiayh open. Going to the island would be the key. One more thing needed to be attended to.

Shortly later, dressed as Batwoman, Kate met up with Ryan on the roof of Wayne Enterprises.

"High up meeting spot." She remarked looking at the city below.

Kate nodded. "Like I said, I need to learn more about this threat. Meaning, I have to leave Gotham Temperley."

"Oh, dang. The city needs you, is there really no other way?"

"Safiayh's dangerous. Her group, they've got a lot of resources and killers for hire. Luke would be concerned for the city. And Mary would give me a million reasons to stay put here staying safe. Then when neither of that would work, they'd both inform me their coming along. I don't want to put them into the line of fire, I'm letting you know in person. Not them. They'll be pissed, but going to tell them on the phone. Or get Julia to do it." She admitted.

"Huh." Ryan replied surprised. "Why did you tell me, though?"

"Someone needs to protect Gotham. You must."

Ryan was flabbergasted. "Me? There isn't someone behind me, is there?"

Kate shook her head. "No. Your Gotham's protector until I return. I need you to be ready for this. It's your time to hold down the fort here. I believe in you."

"Well, thank goodness for that, I don't. I-I'm not ready for this. It's a lot! I struggle while you're around. What about now?"

"Don't doubt yourself. The strength and resilience inside of you will be your guide. And Luke and Mary. You got this, and besides, Luke's upgrading you, armour and gadgets for one."

"Yeah, maybe I need a weapon. To even the playing field, not deadly, just something that can give me an advantage."

Batwoman nodded. "Your right. Talk to Luke about that too. I really should get going. Don't want to keep Julia waiting, right?"

"I'm just so fracking nervous here. I'm going to screw all this up. Get myself killed or worse, someone else."

"Believing that will make it true. I won't leave if I didn't have complete faith in you, Ryan Wilder. Good luck, I'll be back before you know it!" She hopped off the roof.

Ryan looked at her glide away.

"Time to be- No, stupid. Oh man, what am I going to do?" She took a breath. "I've got this. Yes, I'll do you proud, Batwoman. I swear." Ryan said, determined-looking down at the city of Gotham.

Batwoman

In response to C.G

Thank you very much. Oh that's great, I'm glad you enjoyed it. That's nice to hear, thank you. It's alright, I don't mind all the posting, I've got less going on and I'm sorry if I've upset you at all. It's been a specialty of mine lately I think. Anyways, I like how your thinking of having things now, I don't mind all the posting and do get excited by them. I do apologize again if I sounded rude.

Immediate Topics:

Misspelled your Chapter 12 title – Thank you for pointing it out, I feel embarrassed about that.

Why you strongly feel that the "Black Lives Matter" Episode needs to happen while Kate and Julia are still in Coryana – That makes sense, I do think it would help to develop in both those ways. It's nice the reasoning Luke would become invested in helping Ryan and would add to their bonding. That sounds like a pretty great story point and it does make sense she would nearly lose control due to this villain's actions. I like how she'd have a conversation with Luke at a dinner over these matters and her fears of ending up like Jason as Talia hinted. I can agree with all your reasoning behind having this happen while they're still in Coryana. I think it would be the better choice like you feel. I'm guessing then this would be episode 12 or 13? I assume in this episode Kate and Julia won't be in it. It seems like the best idea giving main focus to Ryan's struggles to help her old friend, along with Luke's part. I believe it could take up the entire episode, with all that and dealing with BLM respectfully.

In more regards to this episode - I very much desire to get this one to be a great one, I'm going to give two tentative summaries of how the episode could play out in my mind, fortunately as it's not the next one I will be able to respond to your thoughts and likely changes.

The general tentative story I'm working on within my mind is which rings true for both versions in my mind is as follows... A childhood friend from Ryan's orphanage days seeks out her assistance after trouble befalls them getting into trouble with the police. They claim their innocence before being taken away. She believes them and does everything in her power to prove her innocence, having to confront the potential biases against her friend's case. This brings uncomfortable facts to the surface.

More in depth now.

Version 1 - Ryan uncovers after she's been arrested (with help from commissioner Montoya who is synthetic) in her apartment links to an anarchist group were found with death threats letters and evidence of potential harm could come towards police or public officials. After getting to ask her friend about this it's revealed she didn't in fact didn't make those threats or is part of this group, her roommate is. She's taking the fall for it however to protect them and pleads to Ryan to not involve them. Ryan disagrees pointing out how cural it is for her roommate/friend to betray her like this, letting her get the "heat." Pointing out how she'd know Whisper and her would accept their own consequences for what they've done and this person should've done the same. She reluctantly listens to Ryan and helps her track them down, leading to this group. (To keep focused, I'll refer to note 2 for extra details of this group) Their leader is quite manipulative and appears to have been the one who convinced the roommate to let Ryan's friend to the fall not wanting their group compromised and claiming she's a nobody anyways and what they're doing is worth some casualties. Ryan overhears all this and shortly once the cost is clear takes the roommate and gets them to come to their senses, after here the motivation of plot of this group. Which is in short to get revenge on the dirty cops and ones who've shown signs of racism. She's not going to let this plan go through as she believes it won't change things positively only making matters worse for the city and state of things. Ryan believes in peaceful ways, not ones that would risk or end lives. Expressly innocent. She returns and dismantles the group's operations calling Montoya. Then faces off against their leader, who claims this won't change anything. They're just a "cell" there are others, their mission is an idea and such. She remarks how he leads this, his ideals, manipulating these people and risking a close friend's life. The leader doesn't care and after a savage fight, she's beat the leader quite badly and feel remorseful (and then everything with Luke) I'm not sure how it'd end, perhaps Ryan speaking to her friend about everything going on.

Version 2 - Ryan investigates her friend getting framed for a crime she didn't commit and learns from her she mysteriously received a lot of money just before her arrest which was stolen apparently. Ryan's confused by this and tries her best to believe her friend didn't have any part in this. With help from Luke, she looks into her friends or anyone close who might be a criminal who wanted to help her out money wise, cause she's pretty broke and close to being evicted. This leads to dead ends. However, Luke looks into if this happened to anyone else and it did to somebody else recently who shortly later had it proven it was all a horrible mistake. Embarrassing the GCPD for not looking deep enough into things. After discovering the person who cleared the innocent person Ryan grows suspious of him. Which turns out to be correct and after an intergation she learns a small group of people are framing innocent people (minorities) for crimes they didn't commit, ones without large families or money, they getting them off in order to make the police and law look incomtent. Ryan is bewildered by this and quite upset. She tracks them down and breaks up a meeting held by them. Learning they're all rich people. Their leader claims it's them doing the right thing, helping the protesters or people that want to "defund" the police and such. Cause this makes the cops look incomptent by not investing further and not caring about these people. Ryan agrees it's horrible some of the police haven't done enough, but does point out how with all their resources put into this scheme how could the police tie it back to the real criminals without any evidence? (Montoya does point out to Ryan at somepoint that yes, these cases have been looked into, but their is only evidence in favour of putting these people behind bars. They looked hard) The leader person denies their faults and claims the ends justify the means and how the downtrot of Gotham will be thankfully eventually. And how nobody gets hurt really. This all aggravates Ryan how someone could be so argent and blind to the damage they are causing to the city and it's people in need. (Like said before Ryan goes voilent, talk with Luke and likely some ending with her friend along with some talk about everything with Montoya who understands her frustrations)

Notes - 1. I'm not sure if she should be arrested on second thought, just makes it seems harder for Ryan to be able to speak to her friend during her being in jail or holding. It just seems possibly unheroic of Ryan to be protecting someone who's likely a fugitive right? Of course, she believes their innocence and she's helped Whisper who is a criminal, so might be in character. And Kate's not dealt with Alice on multiple occasions, so. I'm not sure. It wouldn't be too big of a change for the story.

Note 2 - This anarchist group mentioned is related to the events of the first two episodes of the season. (the "white masked" riots or whatever I called them) Originally before all your suggestions like I've hinted before there was a different direction in mind. I cut it all and felt like now might be good point of bringing back that loose thread. Of course, assuming you prefer version 2 or propose a third version, it's fine. I might drop the plotline or end it in the future in some other way.

Note 3 - I felt it was important to not villiy the police or the "villians" in either version. To me it feels more true having not an easy villain to point the finger at clearly. Things are more complicated, I want to give a balanced look. I'll admit having a stright up villain might be easier to handle. (And that version 2 might lean more to a simpler villain)

Not 4 - I'm wondering if a questionable cop or something should have some role in either one of those versions? Or your own?

Hopefully in closing, I found my two versions to be decent, could be better I'm sure. I do expect you to give different suggestions which is fine of course and I'm looking forward to them.

My tentative description for Rumor – Okay, that's good, hopefully, by the time the season starts, I'll have a refined version. I think so it'd make sense for one of the major villains or crime families, it's likely could be a plot point for Rumor seeking revenge against them. Alright, that makes sense and I'll do that.

The CW Chose Not to Do a Wonder Girl Series – Yeah, that is very true. I don't get why this happened in the first place, I'm still confused how the Nomi show seems to be happening still. That's quite new and I don't know anything about it.

My thoughts about the length of Kate and Julia's time in Coryana – Alright, I guess that would be 1 month? Which would take up one or two episodes? 11 would be focused fully on Ryan and such, I think that would make the most sense and I like you taking the time into account as the shows do. Thank you for paying attention to that.

The One Thing You Regret Not Telling Me to Include In Part 2 of the Crossover – Yes, I see that clip after you mentioned it, was a pretty great one and I do feel sad for not including something similar to that. Was a great moment between the two.

Season 2-Related Topics:

How Ryan proposes her Black Bat costume idea to Luke Fox – I think that would make sense and I thought the samething. I like how you described her explaining and showing it off to Luke, sounds like a great moment. I'm not entirely sure what that good explanation should be, my first thought would be wanting to be "black and proud"? I guess meaning open about who she is, like how Kate is a open lesbain. Or some joke about who she's a black bat techncially, so she found it fitting. I'm not sure. I think I had a better idea, but currently forgot.

Elaboration about Whisper Slowly Becoming Darker for the rest of Season 2 – Yeah, that's fair it does sound familiar to that, I'm sure in the past her family lied and abused her which was what her believing that was about, not necessary into her adult life like Thea was. I agree with that thinking and thought the same, her being a criminal giving more into that would surely add to her darkness trying to get that disired life for them. I believe too once she'd relize Ryan has become happier with staying in Gotham to help Batwoman and team, that would be the breaking point. I don't think I expressed that was my intention well enough which is fair.

In regards to the "portrayal" of Ryan's fellow orphan in that "BLM" episode – Alright, could I ask why you changed your mind? I'll try my best to come up with an acting choice by the next chapter. Okay, I'll use that as her name and I'll be sure to remember to not take inspiration from that, I never watched in anyways, I'll take your word for it.

About Coryana – I remember reading that, it was the impression I was going off. It was helpful as a reminder, thank you.

In regards to Madam Crow – That makes sense and I'll keep that in mind whatever she takes the mantle.

Aaron Cash "Portrayal" Suggestion – I believe he would logically at somepoint and alrighty I think that's a good choice, I'll be sure to remember it.

Luke's Pre-Batwing Codename – I like that Ryan would come up with it while they're away and the name too, I was thinking he needed one before Batwing. I didn't remember that, so it's fine regardless. Yeah, I figured he was basically the equivalent of Overwatch/Felicity until becoming Batwing and I like how Kate would admit his codename is impressive.

Your tentative episode descriptions -

11 - I quite like this episode description. As usually, big surprise lol. Anyways, I was curious if you think this episode should include Safiyah and Kate flashbacks, if not I'm guessing episode 13? I figure having it while there in Coranna would make the most sense recalling the past. I like the other possible plot points proposed as well. Ryan having to adjust to Kate's temporary appsense needing to protect Gotham basically by herself and starting to bond with Luke, with some hiccups surely. Along with Mary having to deal with Sophie being around all the time and the things which could arise from that.

17 - I'm curious as to why you jumped to episode 17 from 11, but I don't mind. I do that inside of my mind too. Sometimes I think about all the way to season 5 or later. Anyways to the point, I'm curious as if Scarecrow will make his return in the previous episode after being away I assume? Doesn't matter too much. I'm looking most forward to the final confirmation between Ryan & Scarecrow in this episode, I've been thinking a lot about how it'll play out and how powerful it will be Ryan making her choice once and for all what kind of person she wants to be.

18 - Another exciting description, I'm egure to write about Kate and Jacob's desperation to save Mary, along with how both shall be handling that situation. I like having Whisper finally reveal to Ryan she knows and demanding an explanation from her. Not sure if it was intentional, but I like a lot Ryan facing her demons defeating Scarecrow and proving herself, only to have her love life seemingly fall apart I assume.

All three of these sound like there is a lot to work with storywise and that's quite exciting for me. Looking forward to it all.

Ryan's self-training in the Batcave – That's interesting, I wasn't expecting something like that, but for sure will go forward with this idea. I like how he trained the Robins and Batgirl, it makes sense they'd learn it from somewhere besides just Bruce. I'm also happy with more areas to the batcave, it makes it feel a lot more "roomy?" (I'm not sure of the proper term) Makes sense he'd not bother to tell Kate about it, her training herself would be fair enough reason to not and perhaps not finding it necessary. It would be good for Ryan to learn more about how to train herself with the Bat equipment. Differently once Kate goes missing at the end of the season.

Extra Details for Bat-Beast:

Tentative Backstory – Thank you for the tentative backstory, I know I don't got a lot to say, but I do love this updated version. It's fantastic and I couldn't come up with such a great one surely. Getting to season 4 will be very exciting.

Tentative Character "Portrayal" Suggestion – Alrighty, that sounds like a good choice. (I've never seen the show either and don't think I would, considering I scare easily) I like the idea of three different hairstyles, it shows the different points in her life which is neat. I'll be sure to use those three hair styles. Thank you for mentioning this detail, I find it an interesting one.

Other Important Notes: Sounds great (Yes I remember and looked up to refresh) I think it would make sense at least one of the members would break down, instead of threatening to. It must be extremely horrifying seeing Kate on the edge of death for the first time. (I don't count the end of season 2, they think she's died or gone missing at least, which is a different situation) I like the nod to the Knightfall storyline, I remember that part, it was hard watching Alfred, Tim and pre Azreal dealing with Bruce being so injured. Makes sense Ryan would try in her anger to get revenge on Bat-Beast I like the way you describe that move, I'll be sure to remember. Understandable as well, I'm sure Ryan would see she can't win and escape or someone from the team might help her escape or something not meeting the same fate. I remember you mentioning that and like the call back with the back breaking (I'm sure she would) it's understandable Kate would be enraged by this, perhaps gives her enough strength to fight on and do the defeating move that you describe and good example. I like her ultimate fate being left for interpretation, it's one of my favorite ways to have someone be defeated and having who knows what happened occur to them.

Maggie's re-introduction into story explained:

As an overview of everything, I love it all, not really much to say besides that. I did respond to the points, I had a couple things to say, but overall I agree and love everything shared here. I'll likely be doing exactly this once getting into season 3.

#1 That makes perfect sense, I'm curious if you have any thoughts on this forever changing case? I could give a couple ideas if you're unsure. It's understandable she'd contemplate telling them, as she does care deeply for them despite her leaving I'm sure, it's sad from her thinking why she doesn't tell, but understandable, I'd likely do the same in her position. It makes sense for her character and I like that.

#2 It makes sense and I agree with when she'd return to Gotham. I like too the wanting a fresh start, it's understandable and won't work out as planned.

#3 I agree that would be a good idea, I like how you describe their firsting meeting alot. I'm looking very much forward to their first meeting.

#4 Understandable they wouldn't be able to figure that out quickly being so distracted, I like that. I thought the same thing with mentioning Alex (without her name so it'd be a surprise later) I think that might be a surprise and a welcome one for her. (Your right about Kate likely never wanting children, she doesn't seem like that type of person) That's sweet I think (I like the flashback idea as well) Love it.

#5 I can see that happening, I like that they'd make a bunch lame excuses to hide it and they'd not realize all the bruises were given by each other due to being so distracted.

#6 I'm looking forward to this crossover and this major case, it surely will be a lot of fun to write about and I'll be happy to spring this revelation. I like she's beating the hell out of some low-levels (which must sound bad out of context lol) I thought in my mind she'd be more aggressive towards criminals then Batwoman, more like "The Hood" without the murder. I like too she'd get away at first, surely she'd have gotten good at escaping, but can't too easily get away from Supergirl which makes sense.

#7 It makes some sense she'd forget about Supergirl's speed after not seeing her for some years and I like the moments between them you describe. I'll 100% try to do it all word for word like this, I love it!

#8 & #9 I think it'd be repetitive to say all this is perfect and I'll gladly be doing it. So, combined it. I truly do love it all, thank you for sharing very much. Can't wait until this.

PS. Yes, I was curious how that would work assuming something happens to Supergirl. I'm currently thinking I might have to end up bumping her timeline a little bit which shouldn't be too much of an issue I hope if it comes to that. I'll be trying to keep things "canon" (The tv universe) to the best of my ability. Unless it's Batwoman related of course or something else that could cause issues. Hopefully that won't happen.

Elaboration Points on your Anger on The CW not picking up "Green Arrow and the Canaries"

#1 That's quite strange it wouldn't get picked up even though it got those high ratings.

#2 I'm quite surprised they'd hold off on saying anything for nearly a year, that is quite dirty of The CW. I am very sorry these lies happened, it's stupid of them to have been giving the fan base false hope for so long. Seeing it was cancelled really wouldn't have done anything, keeping it a secret seems wrong. That's strange, I guess most people have overlooked the finer details, you clearly haven't. I hope that your not the only one who knows, I have seen some people give comments recently after the anger of just not recasting so it's possible, Twitter and stuff are quite large.

#3 It was surely a horrible year and this one hasn't really been too much better. I am very sorry for how things have been affecting you and fans.

#4 With any luck that'll happen, I do think shows have been saved from the brink before, I'm quite confused how Batwoman is on the table still, with its ratings and reception lately. I think people would be happier with that show.

#5. Your anger and such does seem understandable, there are so many horrible things going on and it's unfortunate the CW seems to be piling on when it comes to Arrowverse fans with all their recent choices. I hope things will get better once the world becomes a bit better again for all the people including yourself bytared and hurt by this.

Your thoughts on Kate & Julia's story? (Idk how to format this) -

Not going to say much, as I used it already, but thank you for the suggestion, it helped clarify this part.

Alrighty, I'll have it play it like that, it was my general thinking things would play out like this. A friend of Julia who's in the SSR is interesting, I think I might go with a man in this case, I like all the details, greatly appreciated. It'll make the episode where he'll show up better.

(Sorry for how brief this is, just I don't have much input)

I do recall, I'm sorry for not giving a longer response here, not really much I can say, but I appreciate you sharing all the inspiration that helped you come up with your suggestion. Stuff like where inspiration comes from interests me. I will go try to watch anything I can as you recommended below, it sounds like an interesting ride of events. I can see why you watch these shows.

I was wondering about that, I figured it wouldn't be Mary. That's quite a good idea, I like your line of thinking and having a relative of Leslie Thompkins. I think perhaps a daughter would be the best choice, maybe coming back to Gotham in that time to remember her mother and give to her legacy of being a doctor helping people. I think perhaps she's not wanted to return to Gotham after her mother's death. (The following) I'm not sure at the moment. I understand your reasoning, I think she might have suffered a heart attack perhaps after the aftermath of the final battle between Batman & Joker. Likely due to all the trauma of all the events putting too much strain onto her. Like I said above, I think her daughter would be broken by being in the city or maybe even had a falling out beforehand. Now she's returned to help improve the city her mother loved after soul searching or perhaps being reached out to be Kate or someone? Assuming Leslie Thompkins was known by one or more of the characters. Again, I'm not 100% sure at the moment. I love the idea of her being included in Mary's storyline of trying to make the secret clinic legal (along with that episode idea in theory) and I love the clinic having that name, I never realized until you mentioned it now the clinic never even had a name.

I was wondering a bit about what would happen to the Wonderland Gang after your tentative summary. I like that concept. Alrighty, I'll be sure to keep all of that in mind and a more faithful adaptation of Alice could be interesting. I'm looking forward to making her far more dangerous, I'm curious as to how this will all play out. Interesting. Speaking of which.

Question/thoughts on "Alice 2.0" - Who are they? I'm curious about this inclusion, how long do you think they'd last? I'm not going to say too much on the matter or the following. My two possible origins for this character. First, was a scrap idea I had of another person kidnapped during the time Alice was with Cartwright, cause she was being a disappointment, but was perhaps given away or something. Second would be a copycat or like on the Gotham show, inspired by Alice's actions and wants to top her evil actions. I'm not sure, I didn't want to over think at the moment in case it's not a big deal.

Other things you mentioned:

1. Alrighty, I haven't read that issues, but I'll be sure to find a way to read it before eventually getting to the Epilogue. I love Epilogues, I was already thinking of what one might look like and I for sure think this should be included as a part of the grand ending to the series, it's fitting.

2. Oh okay, I went and found that fight, I see what you mean that would've been pretty cool. Still, I hope the nod I had was descent. It was honestly a last minute inclusion I wanted to make sure was in there. I'm sorry it wasn't better.

Ps. That's alright, I figured as much it was you, I'm a big old klutz a lot of the time so I understand what you mean fully.

3. Yeah, I think it was a screw up on my part thinking the Rifle was dead in the first place (I made that up for that "Sophie series" and forgot it wasn't canon) I think I'll go with the OR, it sounds a lot more interesting and I suspect in a later episode it'll be revealed Safiyah is lying about someone playing them both. Back on point, I will go with the Rifle being disgraced after his failings to deal with Batwoman and being likely tracked by Julia leading her right to Safiyah, a double major screw up for him. He'd only be left alive cause of some respect still had. Then everything you mention will happen, along with I think Julia will confess to her dealing/knowing of Safiyah that she's been hiding once it becomes apparent something is up.

Season 3-Related Topics (Part I):

Apologies if I don't have the most insightful responses, it's all quite fantastic and I don't have much input.

Jacob's facial appearance in Season 3 – I agree with that thinking, I'll for sure mention that detail.

Jacob's downward spiral of self-destruction in S3E1 – I quite like your expansion of this self-destruction during S3E1, I'll be sure to include this!

Elaboration on why Jacob does NOT end up in jail after killing Batwoman –I like this flashback and I believe it would be best for him to find the courage to kill himself despite deeply wanting that. I think if Montoya stopped him, it would stand to logical reason expressly after being arrested and getting freed later would just make his desire to live even less, as he's being rewarded at that point for apparently killing his daughter. Anyways, I like that Montoya has him arrested for the murder of Batwoman, it makes sense she would try. Along with the Mayor getting Jacob released and giving him an award for bringing down Batwoman like planned. I'm sure Montoya will have a lot of hate towards Jacob Kane and what the Crows slowly start becoming under the new leadership of Brain soon. I do wonder how the conflict between Montoya will go as I assume she'll be quite confused once Batwoman returns and Jacob's completely flipped on his feelings.

Why I Suggested Jacob Hallucinate Gabi and Kate at the beginning of Season 3 – Alrighty, I think that makes sense after you explained it. I'll be sure to do that.

A Temporarily Overprotective Jacob – I think that all makes sense and sounds like a very compelling episode. I like how Luke wouldn't be happy with Jacob budding in trying to take control of how they operate. I think he'd likely figure it out after learning Bruce truly as Batman, tying together some of the people connected to him. I'm not sure, I'll figure it out by season 3. It sounds like a lovely moment between the two of them, I'm happier writing Jacob as a loving father, I wanted the show to lean more in that way as time went on. I'll 100% do all of this, it sounds fantastic.

Tentative Episode Description for S3E5 – I quite like this description for the episode, I think it's without a doubt I'll be using that. I'm curious toward who this villain of the week could be, but it doesn't matter too much and will be figured out going into season 3 I'm sure. I love the way you work Montoya forming her unit and the arrival of Maggie at last. It's very well stated.

Sophie's status in Season 3 – Her status in season 3 sounds very fascinating. I do find it fun making Sophie a fugitive and tragic of course that her mother continues to disappoint her, even more so how they'll not get the chance of fixing things. It makes perfect sense she'd get pardoned by Jacob, I'm sure it'll be intense for her being in hiding until then.

An Idea for the Season 3 Mid-Season Finale – I had that thinking as well. I like the team would get involved once the Crows start using excessive force on the city and would start to get more into fighting against them. I like the tragedy is based around Sophie, as Brain Krauser clearly hates her deeply and wants to destroy her fully. I like as well Kate and the team silently vowing to go to war against him as he clearly needs to be stopped. It's sick, but makes sense in his mind why playing a role in Sophie's mother's death would be something he wanted to punish her further with. Makes sense as well Crows still loyal to Jacob would have all this horrible treatment towards Sophie be the final straw of trying on Brain. As I assume they'll see it as an attack on their own, this and Jacob being disgraced. In part to the Crows being more militaristic regarding the people of Gotham city.

Why Sophie Became Second-In-Command of The Crows Instead of Brian – I think your personal assumption should be correct and what I'll be going with. I love all the details shared here, it adds greatly to this episode "The Good Soldier" with that title being fitting. I enjoy the name drop and somewhat set up for Natalie "Nattie" Addams as well. It's overall fantastic as usual.

Season 3-Related Topics (Part II):

Alice's struggle in the beginning of Season 3 – I was curious as to when she would sneak into Mary's clinic, I assume this isn't when she encounters Mary. I like all that she would say and how it may have ultimately brought Jacob back from the brink of death hearing his other daughter returning. I find it sad, but makes sense Alice would run away before being confronted by her father as he awakes. Likely feeling guilty for what the "other" has done.

The Consequences of Mary's Near-Decision in Season 3 – I think that's a pretty interesting seed to plant for a leter season. I'm sure it'll be an exciting plotline and good for Mary to have something so critical to be doing. I'm not formally with that series, but I'll try to find a way to watch that episode before getting to this episode.

Brain Krauser's big scene after gaining the leadership position of the Crows in S3E2 – I love everything you describe here, it's all perfect and I won't change it. However, it's minor, but I will change him smiling "devilishly" to himself. Maybe more a smile and sigh of relief for finally getting what he believes was rightfully his? That one word implies more evil I guess and I know he's not meant to be a straight up villain, until later on when he's completely snapped under pressure. Unless I misunderstand.

Kate Learning the Truth About Mary – Ah alrighty, good choice, adds even more tension to the events going on and I suspect Kate will finally reach the breaking point of not understanding Mary's lack of caring. I like the delog, I'll be sure to use it and the details given.

1. I tried to fit that moment in, hopefully I handled it properly. Starting to wonder if I should take more time to edit my work.

2. I think that theory makes a lot of sense, I had the same thinking. I'll be sure to make that canon whenever it might come up. I'm sure it will eventually.

2. My theory within your story is that the Crows went into action for the first time when the final battle between Batman and Joker happened in 2015; it would've been the organization's first true test and the culmination of everything that Jacob Kane and Catherine Hamilton created, since mass chaos was occurring all across Gotham and people needed to be saved. In the aftermath, public opinion (particularly from the upper class) likely favored the Crows over Batman after the Crows' first-ever performance proved effective. That's probably a part of the reason why Batman probably felt that Gotham didn't need him anymore and why he left.

Don't worry, I'll remember to give her it, I believe I gave a hint towards her wanting a melee weapon to help her in fights. I think a ballistic shield should be coming soon as well as she's not bullet poof of course. (Also, I found it interesting show Ryan uses a bo staff a lot)

One last random note regarding season 2 or even 3 of "canon" Batwoman - I've started thinking more with the face changing stuff on the series, it's possible Kate could return, but given a new face. It could be a "clever" way of getting the views to be more accepted of a possible recast and work it into the story or something. All a big twist of appecing possible new fans I guess and bringing back old ones. I'm not sure. Then season 3 will be both of them budding heads and then learning to share being Batwoman I guess? I'm not sure, I truly have no clue. Just thought I'd share my thoughts.

Oh something else random, a little annoyed the show got to Wolf Spider before I did lol? I liked them enough though I guess, which was nice kinda. I mean I've met people like them, so. Still, whenever I do that character, don't expect them to be exactly the same, at all.

Finally, I'm glad the season 2 here is not at all following what "canon" season 2 is doing. I was worrying there would be some overlap, but it appears everything is good. Also, possibly bisis, but I'm liking this season 2 much more.

Thank you as always for all the postings, hopefully I covered everything in a good manner, I think I got back on track with the speed of my writing at last. 3 weeks isn't so bad for the word count here. Along with my dealing with personal issues, I think it would've been faster if not for those, which I doubt will be going anywhere unfortunately. Anyways, I got it done in a timely manner, so joyest time for that.
