Synopsis: "Kate and Julia arrive on the island of Coryana in order to look for any clues to Safiyah Sohail's plans for Gotham. Back in Gotham, Ryan is determined to prove herself to Kate as she holds the fort in Batwoman's absence; while also giving Luke a potential design idea for her own official Bat-themed superhero costume. Also, Mary has to adapt to Sophie being her newest 24/7 bodyguard; which also prevents her from going to the Batcave in the event of another potential incident.

Kate awoke feeling like the world was shaking it was disorientating, but this wasn't the first time she felt this feeling. She walked out onto the deck of the ship finding Julia steering the tiny ship in the middle of a storm.

"Couldn't sleep?" Julia asked staying focused on keeping the ship on course.

"It was challenging, with all this shaking," Kate replied sarcastically.

"Happens when trying not to be consumed by a terrifying storm." She held on tight as they nearly got knocked over.

Kate randomly remembered the past, her original trip to the island.

It was a much more peaceful ride, with no storming and an experienced ship captain. She could soon see land became closer in view.

"Wow, is this the mysterious Coryana?" Kate asked the captain.

The man nodded. "Indeed it is. Lucky we got here without trouble. Seems like you have paid those lot for no reason!" He pointed out to Kate happily, she hired bodyguards in case of any pirates, which were quite common in the area.

"Actually, I hired them for your safe return back to land."

"It's man was puzzled. "You're the first client to give such generosity!" He exclaimed happily.

"Your welcome, could I expect you to return in about a week? She replied.

"Sure if you survive here, remember to keep your eyes peeled and on alert miss Kane. Nasty folks live in these parts. Quite frankly I don't get why anyone would wish to come out to this island!" He exclaimed.

She looked out onto a decently sized town ahead. "I want to understand the world better. Maybe that'll start here. I plan on travelling the world. Might need your services again, Jack." She said before starting to talk away, with only a small bag around her shoulder.

Coryana seemed quite beautiful, but she knew it had some darkness hiding in plain sight. She noticed many little shops around and people with concealed weapons, mostly not firearms. It would stand to reason those would be more costly in a place like this. The money would be needed, as she didn't bring any on herself, knowing it'd likely be stolen or even possible usually in this nation. Adapting would be critical and that was her plan, learning to adapt to a hostile situation with hardly anything at her disposal.

"Hey! I think I've spotted some land!" Julia exclaimed, bringing Kate out of the quick memory flashed in her mind.

She looked on with a special telescope which could see through all the stormy weather befalling them. "Bingo and it's not the port, good news is we're not about to be bombed. Their raders won't pick us up due to our jammer"

"Fantastic news Luv. Short trip otherwise."

"Indeed, yeah," Kate replied in deep thought looking at the island as it approached closer tightening her fists.

Julia didn't say anything figuring it wouldn't be the time to make a remark.

Batwoman stepped up to the front of the ship getting close to the edge staring intently at the island. She knew this time around about all the danger and darkness surrounding the place this time. It would be different. An easy trip, easy win. Hopefully.

Batwoman

Back in Gotham, as per usual, a dealing was happening in a back alleyway away from prying eyes between a few thugs.

"You got the product?" Thug one asked.

The dealer nodded revealing and opening a case.

An above watcher knew the contents of it and leaped down from their position.

All the thugs turned around drawing their guns and blunt weapons expecting to find Batwoman, however, it wasn't. The dealer was so scared they dropped the case they had opened up.

"Is this a joke?" One asked.

"The bat's sidekick?" Another exclaimed laughing.

"Partner." Ryan corrected.

"Dead." Another added opening fire on Ryan who quickly leaped to cover.

"Crap, maybe I shouldn't be so cocky." She said to herself and tossed a Batarang at the gunner, getting it logged right into the barrel.

Ryan slid knocking over one goon and launched herself at another thug kicking them to the ground. A few started running off.

"Are you kidding! She's not bulletproof!" One thug exclaimed.

She sighed to herself. "Need a gadget. Really need one." She said into coms.

"You seem to be doing just fine and I'm still working on it!" Luke replied.

"Great." Responded Ryan as she heard an object land next to her. "Crap." Quickly she swiftly got out of the way of the object thrown, being a grenade that blasted her slightly damaging part of her suit.

The thug crept up pointing a gun to her head and she kicked low, making them fall down grabbing ahold of the gun smacking their face with it a couple of times knocking them out cold.

She looked around and the crocks escaped, but some of the product was left behind. Which prompted her to look at the containers which fell to the ground from the case.

"No. Of course, it's you." She muttered to herself which Luke heard.

"What did you discover?"

"These guys were selling fear toxin." Her tone was serious.

Elsewhere, Kate and Julia docked their ship starting to get off it.

"Are you planning on staying suited up?" Julia questioned.

Kate thought for a moment. "No, I should get into something more, normal. Or rather less likely to get immediately spotted. I'm going to go ahead and scout out the area, so we'll be able to go into town safely."

"Alright, sounds good, I'm going to check our resources and make sure our ship isn't damaged, I don't particularly wish to live here." Julia joked.

Kate smirked, she put away her suit into a bag along her shoulder and went climbing a decently sized hill to start getting closer to town. Going along the beach could be far too risky for getting caught and likely killed by Safiyah's people, not having her suit would have its pros and cons in this case.

She quickly got atop the mountain, able to see the town, but decided to take a closer look considering how long it was since showing up last time in town. Getting back down the mountain was easy enough, she learnt climbing on her trips around the world, learning many skills, which were now paying off big time since becoming Batwoman. Once getting down, she had to traverse a small forest, in the past she explored around these parts, so she knew exactly where to go. Having quite an excellent memory. Sure enough, she spotted the town's outskirts. Looking exactly the same, until she looked closer, it was clear some parts were falling apart from age, the town was dying off. However, she'd have to reunite with Julia before continuing along and started to return as another memory flashed.

Kate had just gotten off the boat, quite confused by everything on the island, she wasn't exactly prepared or had any clue what she'd do. Which was the plan, to teach herself to figure things out on the fly, even if it ended horribly. It would be worth the experience. Or she'd fail, which was a real possibility.

After a few hours of exploring, she started to get a lay of the land, the town, before getting grabbed by a couple of confident thugs pointing a gun to her head.

"Hand over the bag. Do you wanna die over it?" One asked.

"Perhaps," Kate replied kicking from below and grabbing the gun from the flustered foe. She grabbed into him using him as a human shield. "How about you both run off now? And hope you've learnt an important lesson today about trying to rob people huh?"

"That's how you survive!" The second thug exclaimed. "Stealing!"

A third jumped Kate getting the drop on her getting quite a few good hits in before she kicked him back shooting his lag on instinct. She wasn't happy as it wasn't intended, the other thugs backed off and so did she quickly ran away dismantling the weapon, tossing it away. Now she was more on edge, with a couple of bruises and a black eye.

Kate quickly made it back to the ship finding Julia waiting around after the memory stopped.

"We should get going, everything in order?" Kate said getting right to business.

"Sounds excellent to me," She replied, with a hint of skepticism.

Elsewhere Ryan returned to the cave with the toxin containers she discovered placing them gently into a table.

"Can you do tests on these? Or something?" Ryan questioned looking at Luke.

"I can attempt it, might find something." He replied.

"A clue perhaps? Something that could lead us to the dealer or maybe even that bastard himself?" Asked Ryan getting close.

"You're still gunning for Scarecrow?" Luke asked.

"Of course I am, he's still out there doing who knows what. Now he's even selling his toxins to random crocks on the streets, I know first hand the torment those can give people. I won't let it get spread around to anyone." She crossed her arms.

"I can understand what this guy's put you through, I lost my father too. Both of the people are in jail, but I getting the wanting revenge. I nearly lost it when I found the guy who pulled the trigger, nearly pulled the trigger on him. If not for Kate, I might've done it." He said honestly.

Ryan shook her head. "Na, I doubt you would've done it."

"Really? Why do you think that?"

"You're a good guy from what I've seen, not a bad bone in you. It's nice seeing that in Gotham, don't really see it as much as I'd like." She responded.

His look was of uncertainty. "I've made mistakes haven't talked to my family much. Besides with mom, I live with her still, which is a bit embarrassing. Well, I say live with her, but that's not exactly true, I just stay at home more than my apartment."

"I think it's sweet you see your mom still. I assume while you're not here?"

He nodded. "Pretty much, my life is here and checking on mom. Not really my siblings. Not as much as I should."

"Family is important. If my mom was alive, I know I'd well, guess I'd be a different person if she didn't die. And if I had siblings. You should really check on them sometime, never know in this crazy world we live in right? How they are. How many do you have?"

"Three, Tamara my sister, Tim or Jace rather, my brother who hasn't talked to me in quite some time now, both around my age and the youngest Tiffany who's still with mom, not even a teenager yet. She was a marcile, you know? Mom and dad didn't think they'd have another child, were so excited and now." He stopped.

"It's rough, losing a parent. Can only imagine what losing your dad did to your family. I'm sorry Luke, never knew you had people. Always seemed like, I don't know, this cave was all there was to you. No offence."

"Some taken." Luke joked, then continued. "You shouldn't go after Scarecrow alone if he returns. Wish Kate was here or at least informed us beforehand she was going on an adventure with Julia. Could've made a plan of what to do."

Ryan shrugged unsurely. "She just told me to wing it basically."

"Great advice." He replied sarcastically. "She clearly believes in you and you have been doing some good work."

"Only some?" Ryan asked, crossing her arms playfully.

"A bit, speaking of which maybe you should get back out there?" He suggested.

"Right," Ryan replied and gave a smile before leaving.

Luke smiled back at her, but she was already gone. "Learning a lot from Kate I see." He muttered to himself.

Back with Kate and Julia, they started to depart into town, before they could, the satellite phone began to ring.

"Who's calling?" Julia questioned.

"I have a good idea," Kate replied, picking up, guessing correctly internally.

"Why did you leave just before your birthday? Speaking of which Happy Birth Kate!" Mary exclaimed.

"Completely forget it was today," Kate said turthly.

"I was planning a party! Well, kinda last minute, still!"

Kate sighed. "I'm sorry for missing your party."

"It's your party!" She responded frustrated.

"Right, I don't even like my birthday, you know that."

Mary paused. "Well, I mean you're less alone this year, we're closer, Julia is around, Ryan, Luke and our dad. Sophie maybe?"

Kate didn't respond.

"Speaking of Sophie," Mary continued. "She's my new basically 24/7 bodyguard, cause you know, Julia isn't around going off on this surprise adventure with you. If I didn't know you better I would've thought you went off to, you know. If Julia wasn't with Sophie and there wasn't a crazy woman on the loose with an army."

"If she's watching you 24/7 can't she hear you?" Kate questioned.

Mary thought for a moment. "No I'm hiding in the bathroom of my clinic, I've tested the sound and she tested to make sure I wouldn't escape out a window to lose her. Which was super sweet of her." The sarcasm was pretty clear.

"I'm glad you're safe at least and are still able to go to the clinic without issue, I know how important it is to you, even though part of me wishes you'd stay copped up in the cave, safe," Kate replied and sighed. "I should really go and I apologize again for missing my birthday."

"It's fine, I just really wanted to spend time together, when it wasn't life and death stakes. Before all this craziness. Before that cave started becoming my third home, I don't like it there. I rather be here in the clinic helping people. And doing normal things with you and-"

"Mary, what's taking so long? Is everything okay?" Sophie asked slightly, opening the door, peeking inside, which Kate could partially hear.

She turned around. "Oh yeah, I was just cancelling some plans with some girlfriends you know?" Mary said, trying to avoid suspicion. "Done now, just gotta wash my hands. Be right out!"

Sophie seemed to agree, closing the door again.

"Alright, she's gone. Stay safe, both of you two and I'm throwing you a late birthday party once you come back safe and sound! Got it!"

"Got it, I love you, Mary," Kate said thankfully for her sister.

Mary smiled brightly. "Love you too Kate." She hung up.

Kate smiled to herself and turned to Julia. "Now we should get a move on."

"Ballocks, I forgot it was your birthday today. Should I sing a song?" She joked.

"No thanks," Kate replied with a smirk. "Come on please?"

They together started to get a move on.

Back in Gotham, Ryan was still out fighting crime taking down any criminals on the streets of the city. Trying her best to not give the criminals of Gotham a chance to realize Batwoman wasn't currently around, along with keeping her mind off her mother's killer. From street to street, she watched from above making sure nobody was committing crime down below on the streets of Gotham. It felt good, making a real impact stopping crimes and changing lives, hopefully for the better, it was the dream Ryan had. It didn't last all night as Luke patched in.

"Hey, done testing the toxin in every way I know how, apparently it was recently created, here's the thing, however. I compared it to other toxins created by The Scarecrow and this one was different. Well, kinda, a little less effective in the scaring department, more like a regular type of high state, but even more out of it. Has some addictive qualities as well, guess it looks like it's just a regular old drug deal. Maybe Scarecrow isn't involved?" Luke suggested.

"Or he's expanding his market." Replied Ryan, still confident he was involved.

"Why expend? What could it gain? He's working with these Many Arms of Death people and seems like they've got a lot of resources."

Ryan shrugged. "Paying them off? People like that gotta get a continuous cash flow to stay in business right?" She pointed out.

"Yeah, good point." Luke thought for a moment, having an epiphany. "Of course! If you take down these dealers and stop his income, that'd surely be a big blow to his operations, wouldn't it? Without having to fight him head-on. Should've thought of that sooner," He said being down on himself.

"Hey, you figured it out now, you don't know it all, sometimes it takes a little time to figure stuff out, I wouldn't have thought of it. You're just a human who makes mistakes. Welcome to the club!" Ryan said, trying to cheer him up.

He smiled to himself. "Yeah, your right, uh how much longer are you thinking of staying out?"

She contemplated the answer for a moment. "My girlfriend has a "thing" with some friends or something, so should be the rest of the night. Should we contact Kate about this? Everything we're doing here?"

"Sure, yeah, it might be good to have a real conversation with her. It's not that critical, it seems like everything's going great, you are doing well Ryan. Glad you're putting in the work. Protecting the city." He said turthly.

"Thanks, partner," Responded Ryan, which did surprise Luke, as it didn't occur to him that indeed they were partners for now until Kate returned.

"Your welcome, partner." He replied, feeling more confident in Ryan's abilities after seeing her fight so hard throughout the night.

Back overseas and after some time of traversing, along with a quick stop to give Jacob a status on themselves, they soon reached the spot where Kate looked upon the town. Kate pulled out her telescope getting a better look at the town and what route would be better for them to sneak in undetected in theory.

"Here." Kate pointed, handing Julia the scope.

"I see it, you sure that's the best entrance point? I can see some civilians walking along that pathway." She pointed out.

Kate nodded. "If we're by ourselves, more suspicious, we're outsiders here, people would be more on edge seeing us along, in a group blending in, however, better chances I'd bet."

"Great thinking." She replied looking forwards with a sense of uncuinity.

"What's up?" Kate asked curiously.

"Oh nothing Luv, don't worry. Just a little tired is all."

"We can rest before moving in," Kate suggested.

Julia brushed it off. "No I'll be fine, let's get into town. The sooner we get intel the better."

Kate thought for a moment, then nodded in agreement, but having a sense Julia was keeping something from her.

They did as planned getting inside the town, without being spotted by guards that seemed to be walking around, at least it seemed like guards, it wasn't clear.

"Things have changed here, not in layout or building, but the people, the feeling." Kate pointed out while trying to keep her voice down.

"How so?" Julia replied back silently while they walked slowly around the town.

"Guns usually aren't allowed in the open and I've not seen so many armoured goons walking around, it seems more oppressive now, the people seem scared." She pointed out looking at some people passing by cautiously keeping to themselves, scared to look at anyone for too long and wouldn't seem to stare at the armed ones. "It wasn't like this, it was freer." She continued.

"Stange, it must be Safiyah's doing then right?" Julia questioned.

"She always was power-hungry, deep down," Kate replied.

They continued walking along and Kate started to recall something which was evident from her face. "I know a guy here, it was his story front. I wonder if he's still here." Wondering she looked around it. "Looks the same."

A shotgun cocking could be heard. "Don't you two move!" A voice exclaimed.

They turned around seeing an angry man, whose face turned to a shock upon seeing Kate, who requinsed him as well.

"I can't believe it. Figured you would've left after all these years." Kate remarked.

"And I can't believe you'd return to this place." The man replied, lowering his weapon. "Come inside, quickly before you both are spotted." He said motioning them inside of his home/storefront.

Kate was still trying to figure something out to her survival or comfort at least, as it was approaching 24 hours of being on the island. She had to sleep outside in the dark, wasn't a great sleep, more of a slight rest always waking up on guard for what felt like hours. Sitting around wasn't an option, she continued exploring and came across some more thugs beating on a man, along with stealing from his store.

She wasn't going to standby letting this happen, never was a bystander. They weren't particularly smart thugs who easily got jumped by her byself without any protection. Fighting wasn't their strong suit and quickly got dispatched, now running off.

"Are you alright?" She asked the man helping him up.

"Yes thank you, are you? Seems as if you are injured?" The man replied.

"No, no. This was from hours ago, a couple of guys jumped me. Is that common around here? Judging by your situation, I'd have to guess so."

He nodded. "Indeed Ms. It's dangerous if you don't know how things are around these parts."

"Kate is fine. Ms. is far too formal for me." She replied and looked around. "This is your store I'm assuming?"

"Indeed, yes, I've owned it for a few years now, my wife and I. While she was around of course. Named it after her. Maira's general store. She loved helping people, giving those in need support." The man replied.

"I'm sorry for your loss."

"You shouldn't be out on the streets like this, the least I can do to repay your kindness for assisting me is offering you a day to stay here and food. It's not much, but-"

"It's perfect," Kate replied trying to be friendly, but still on guard. "What is your name?"

"Dembe, named after my grandfather." He replied.

"Lot of naming after people." She joked.

He smiled. "Indeed, a consistent in my life, a pleasant one I find. Helps keep the memories of the lost live on through us."

Kate smiled thinking of that. This man was truly kind, or good at hiding it darkness inside, which seemed unlikely. She went inside of his store settling down, feeling more relaxed and safe, at the moment.

"What's happened to the Island?" Kate immediately asked once getting inside of Dembe's storefront back in the present day.

"Simply, it was Safiyah's doing. She's angry, more so as of late. Perhaps you are to blame for this?" He implied.

She nodded. "Most likely yes, I'm sorry this is happening."

With his face he showed understanding and put away his gun. Then reaching for a pen and started writing, while continuing to speak. "She's taking out her anger on Coryanna. Easier than dealing with it in a healthy manner. Why have you returned to the island? With a friend no less. The woman wants you dead, surely."

"The Many Arms of Death. She leads them, correct?" Julia said joining in.

Dembe turned to look at her. "Heard that name, never asked anything else."

"How about The Kail Corporation? Is it true she's running them, better, as she put it?" Kate asked as well.

Nodding was all he did.

"Why are you being so tight-lipped?"

"I'm scared, Kate. She's powerful, dangerous and all of her allies, the crime has been higher and far more under her control. One of her high-ranking killers is searching around intently so I've heard, I'd guess for you. The Archer."

"An archer? Sounds so scary!" Sarcastically said, Julia.

Kate looked unsure. "Tell that to The Green Arrow and all the other archers he encountered in his time." She reminded her.

"Fair point, could be a dangerous bloke then." She admitted.

"I've witnessed him kill people in the streets, with absurd accuracy. I can assure you, he's quite the threat. It was horrifying to witness, no one deserves that kind of fate."

Julia's face dropped and she looked away.

Kate found this odd but didn't question it. "Why are you still here? If it's so dangerous?"

"Like I've said before, many times, this is my home." He handed Kate a note.

She glanced at it quickly, then back at him nodding and looked over at Julia. She knew the look on Kate's face, knew it well from her time in the SRR.

The doors were kicked in.

Kate went to the front door as Julia went to the back one.

"Hands now!" Guards started shouting.

Instead of listening naturally, Kate grabbed the first one's gun, hitting them in the face and kicked them backwards as the other guards started shooting. She tried to do her best to keep them outside of the store to avoid damage. The fight continued as she kept trying to keep it close quarters, otherwise, they'd just shot her dead most likely. Or take her captive, which wouldn't be something desired and could prove to be, frustrating.

She battled against them, as did Julia. Back with her she waited for them to come inside completely and grabbed the one in the back of the armed group pulling him off onto unconsciousness. Would've been far easier, in her mind, killing all of these guards, but she wanted to respect Kate's wishes of avoiding was something they spoke about while preparing to head off. However, it didn't mean a gun was over limits, as she did grab it off the guard firing at the guards, of course avoiding kill shots.

Kate as well continued to fight the guards, as the group that approached went down, more showed up with all the chaos occurring. High ground was a good option, ambushing them. Suiting up wouldn't be possible yet, but maybe gadgets would still be helpful in this case, like the grappling hook. It worked as she silently got above them all.

"Where'd she go?" One questioned.

"Spread out, she couldn't have gone far, Safiyah wants her found." Another said.

Up above Kate grappled onto two of the goons as they started to split up pulling them up high as they yelled alerting the rest. As they rushed over, nobody was to be found. "What's happening?" One asked confused.

Kate tossed a Batarang to distract them. As they approached, she crept back down behind them picking off two more.

The guards were very confused by what was occurring. She sneaked around more and snuck up on the remaining group, easily knocking them all out after getting the drop on the remaining 4 left.

Once done, she returned back to Julia.

"Are we clear?" Kate asked as she approached outside of the store.

"Indeed. Looks like you don't need your suit." Julia remarked.

"Yeah, heard once something along the lines of, if you can't live without the suit, then you shouldn't have it. Can't remember where I heard it from." Kate replied. "Come on, we should get going." She continued as she showed Julia the note.

She nodded in agreement upon seeing the note given by Dembe and together they continued, quickly, knowing more of Safiyah's people would be searching for them. The Many Arms of Death was clearly hunting them now.

Back in Gotham Jacob was sitting in his office and called Sophie once closing some files he was staring at intently.

"Sir?" She asked, picking up.

"I uh, wanted to call to let you know that I spoke to Kate, Julia and her are safe so far. The island hasn't caused any trouble, as of yet." Jacob said to her.

Sophie smiled to herself and sighed with relief. "I'm glad to hear it sir."

"How's Mary?" He asked curiously.

"She's fine, cranky being watched as you'd expect, but no issues." Sophie replied and looked over at Mary, who was occupied by her phone. "Do you want to speak to her?"

"No, it's fine. I'm sure she's busy and wouldn't want to speak to me anyways." He paused. "I'm concerned about Safiyah. Might target her trying to get to me and Kate, you need to keep a tight eye on her. Promise me?"

"I promise you sir, I'll not let anything happen to Mary," Sophie replied, hearing the concern in his voice.

"Thank you. Stay safe, Moore." He hung up and reopened the files on his desk.

Agent Proctor knocked on his door.

"Enter." Jacob said.

He entered with a couple other agents.

"Glad to see you both, I wanted to speak to you about an operation, one that would spell the end of Batwoman once and for all. I need the best of the best, people I can trust. You two fit the bill, I've already recruited John Proctor here, now you two are next. Are you both in?" He questioned.

They nodded.

"Excellent, allow me to tell you more about Operation: Nightfall. It wouldn't be an easy task, but well worth ridding the city of Batwoman." Jacob declared.

Elsewhere in Gotham, Ryan continued on the prowl hunting restlessly searching for any trace of Scarecrow's presence in Gotham. Without any progress after hours of being out searching. Luke patched back into coms once again.

"Hey, Ryan? You've been out for a while, how about you head back? Take some downtime or something?" He suggested.

"I'm fine Luke, filled with energy, ready to bring criminals to justice." She replied with confidence coming from her.

"What exactly has filled you with energy this long? You need a fuel source." The last word on his mind made him upset. "Revenge?"

Ryan stopped and paused.

"I thought the lust would have stopped," Luke said disappointed.

"The pain only ends once I find him. I'm not going to stop." She replied and leaped down to an alleyway seeing a couple of criminals. Unfortunately, her head wasn't exactly clear at the moment leading to an attack from behind. Another goon broke a bottle over her head which made her fall down. Together they all started trying to kick her, while on the ground, but Luke was still in her ear, able to hear what was happening.

"Ryan! Stay focused! Live! Please!" His words cleared her mind temporarily, long enough to get back up and beat down on one thug relentlessly making the others back off. She stopped hitting her attacker and backed up.

"Alright, I'm coming back now. We'll talk then." She hung up and stayed to her word heading right back to the Batcave quickly, but slightly bruised.

Back on Coryanna, Kate and Julia followed as the note said, a lead towards a safe haven, one where a residence was held up.

Julia sighed. "Why would your friend there betray us?"

"He didn't, clearly they were tracking us." She said confident in Dembe.

"I don't buy it, clearly he knew they were coming, which is why he gave you the note. This could be another trap." Julia pointed out.

Kate turned to her. "I trust him."

"People change."

"Maybe he did it for the right reason. To protect himself, someone he cared for. Seems like crossing Safiyah isn't a good idea around here." Preistated Kate. "We should be close to where we need to be." Kate said looking around.

"Excellent, more danger, my favourite," Julia replied sarcastically.

"Well, you need to meet new people then." Kate joked back, then she stopped immediately in her tracks. "We've got someone following."

"I see them, not engaging, good sign?" Julia suggested.

"Hopefully," Kate replied.

They tried to move into an allyway, before getting jumped. "We're the residence." One said coming up slowly.

"How can we trust that?" Kate asked.

"We'd have captured you, wouldn't we?" Another replied.

Julia looked around and saw they weren't seeming hostile, now looking back at Kate.

"Alright. Get us off the streets." Kate said.

"With pleasure, keeping you safe pisses off Safiyah,'' another said as they started moving away into a different building.

Kate was skeptical, but they didn't have any other choice.

They went with the mysterious people claiming to be the resistance, with every step taken, it didn't feel as if they were going to be captured or lead to their deaths, which was a positive feeling.

"Wait here," One of them said, leaving them inside of a large room with beds all over. It seemed like a sanctuary indeed.

"Seems like we're safe?" Julia asked.

Kate nodded. "I'm going to suit up. Just to be safe."

"What about secret identities?" Julia questioned.

"I'd say it's all blown up here, Safiyah might have told people Batwoman is on the island and the suit is the best chance we have at survival. I've got to take this risk." Kate told her, starting to suit up.

Back in Gotham, like said, Ryan returned to the cave getting unsuited.

"I failed." She said coming up to Luke.

"What do you mean?" Questioned Luke confused.

She sat down. "Scarecrow is still out there. His apparent goons, I'm rising up and the same goes for him it seems. Wasn't active until I tried making a positive turn in my life. It's a crappy coincidence. Wouldn't you say?"

Luke frowned. "Yeah, I get how much this bothers you, but you can't let yourself die just to bring him down. Your mother, she'd want you to keep fighting. If you're not careful, that monster could kill you too, nobody wants that."

She nodded. "I feel angry and weak like I'm failing by not bringing in Scarecrow."

"That isn't true, you've helped a lot of people and you're still getting started. Tonight alone, you've saved lives and stopped criminals." Luke pointed out.

Ryan smiled slightly. "Oh, speaking of getting started, how's the status on my uh, equipment?"

"Pretty good, bo staff should be here any day now, the special one, a little longer. How's your brainstorming for that suit going?"

"And the name. I've completely forgotten, but after Kate left, I started thinking harder about the suit, along with my superhero name. Ryan pulled out a sketch to show off.

He stared down at it, impressed. "Yellow symbol? With some black?" He asked.

Ryan nodded. "Yep, I liked the look of it and shows that I'm different you know?"

"Keeping the mask the same and having your full hair out? Seems a bit risky."

"And Kate's wig isn't?" Ryan pointed out.

He chuckled softly. "Fair enough. I meant more for your secret identity."

"I want people to see the real me and robins wear these right? Nobody seemed to figure out their identity and hey batears? I thought of wearing a hood, but I don't know, truly, don't want to scare anyone. Even the baddies, well not too badly, just a bit, as much as Kate does, not like I'm some sort of assassin. Actually, you didn't notice I've got this scarf cape hybrid going on here, if I need to cover my face, got it covered. I love this design, my final pick."

Luke looked at the top of the page seeing a name. "Black Bat. Huh?"

"RIght, my codename. I feel it's fitting, like I said, wanna show if the real me that's inside. This is who I am, my own person. Not a sidekick, I'm alongside Batwoman helping each other in this fight to protect Gotham, partners. Yeah, I've got stuff to learn from her, but I'm going to grow into my own woman and people should know The Black Bat's got their back out there, people who could believe Batwoman doesn't will know I'm out there and I'll help them if Batwoman doesn't. It's all about hope right? This adds a little bit of hope to a city, which desperately needs any that could be found. I love the name, what do you think?" Ryan asked.

He smiled. "I like all of your reasons, it's inspiring. I'm glad you want to put so much thought into becoming this, Black Bat."

"It's important to me, saving this city and anybody that I could is what matters most to me." She yawned.

Luke saw the stress on her face. "Not to be pushy you know, but serious Ryan, you should go home. Be with your girlfriend."

"If she's home, yeah. You should call your siblings and give your mom a massive hug" Ryan pointed out to him.

He nodded. "Yeah, as long as you head home first and rest well!"

She laughed slightly. "Thank you."

"For what?" Luke asked.

"For being so kind to me, after everything that's happened. I'm still technically new around here still, it feels weird getting so much support. I haven't really since my best friend and Whisper. So again, thanks, Luke." She left.

He looked down at his phone and called his sister, which was unfortunately voicemail. "Hey, Tamara. I know we've not talked in a while, but, you know. Was thinking of you lately and I wanted to know how things were with you." He paused. "I love you sis and I'm sorry for being distant so much, so lately. Please call back as soon as you can." After hanging up he sat back in his chair and thought about doing the same for his brother, after a deep breath he did.

Back overseas, Kate finished suiting up, not before the phone rang once again. "Mary?" She asked expecting her, but got her other sister.

"Happy Birthday to us both!" Alice exclaimed.

Kate was silent.

"Forgetting your own birthday is just fine, but how could you ever forget about little old me? Again?" She said sarcastically.

"What do you want," Kate asked.

"Simple, birthday wishes, sending them to Coryana aren't I?"

Kate paused for a moment.

"Please, don't try hiding it from me, I know. Trying to piss her off even further I see?"

"Not exactly, if anyone's got a chance at stopping her, I need to learn more about what enemy we're both facing. As you won't tell me anything I can work with." Kate pointed out to her.

Alice scoffed. "I've got blanks in my memory, said that already!"

"Doesn't happen for no reason." Repied Kate.

"Us nutcases don't need a reason!" Alice exclaimed dismissively.

"Fine." Kate sighed. "How's your birthday going?"

Alice laughed. "I've got a cake, got feeling you haven't, I'd send a card, but I doubt you'd get it anytime soon. Oh and cause it'd be a faster way for Safiyah to find me, again."

"Did you steal it?"

"The cake? No! What kind of criminal do you think I am? I got a couple of my guys to grab it, stealing would be too loud. Paid in cash. Not to worry." Alice replied happily.

"One decent act doesn't make up for everything you've done." Kate reminded.

"I know!" She shouted. "Could we pretend today, being happy sisters who love one another? Just for today?"

"I'd love to feel like my sister was alive, it was my wish last year. Then, Cartwright killed her and you lived on, to kill again."

Alice stayed silent for a moment. "Be happy that you've still got me then, if you're missing, the fake. The one that fit your dreams better."

"She was very real and very much so dead." Kate replied unamused.

"Sorry if I don't feel badly about my replacement getting offed." Alice replied sarcastically and was unhappy.

Kate scoffed. "You know, part of me still holds out hope you'd change, could be like that Beth again, but that part dies a little more, each day. Happy Birthday Alice." She hung up on her.

"I'm sorry." Julia said to Kate putting her hand on her shoulder.

"Is that leader here yet?" Kate asked, moving on.

A woman walked up to them. "I consider myself the leader of this sanctuary. Does that work for you?" The woman asked.

"Yes, it does." Julia replied.

"What's with the get up?" She questioned looking at Batwoman.

"Protects me. And looks good." Kate replied.

The woman looked at them both. "If you say so. Why have you come to Coryanna?"

"The Many Arms of Death. I'm going to bring them down and Safiyah." Kate declared.

"Wish you the best of luck in that delational goal." The woman replied condescending.

Kate and Julia looked at each other. "Why do you say that?" Julia asked.

"The Many Arms of Death are unstoppable, but you're welcome to try putting a dent into them if you wish. Safiyah is ruthless, will likely kill you both, she's killed many who've stood up to her." The woman said.

Another flashback had begun in Kate's mind.

Kate stayed the night at Dembe's store, resting only partially.

"You look quite on edge, you should relax, it's good for your body and soul, trust me. My wife told me that all the time, most of all during the time of her illness." Dembe said sadly.

Kate nodded. "Sweet of her, worrying about you."

"Indeed, lovely person. Brightened the world, my most of all world."

"You mentioned introducing me to someone who could assist me?" Kate reminded him.

"Oh yes, I did, can be quite forgetful at times. She's new on the island as well, a traveler. Seems like a lovely young woman like yourself. Almost always visits my store, likes it around here or my prices, not entirely sure. Regardless, two young travelers like yourselves I'm sure could find a friendship as you both are new around these parts." He expressed.

"Very concentrate of you to think of." Kate pointed out.

"Your welcome, ah I see her now." He walked up to her. "Hello and good morning!" He exclaimed.

She nodded and smiled at him, giving off a warmness Kate couldn't deny looking right at her.

"I've made a new friend here, I've explained how you both are new to this island. Hopefully you'll get along."

Kate walked closer.

The woman looked at her. "Yes, I believe we shall, sir. Thank you." She reached out her hand to Kate friendly in nature. "My name is, Safiyah Sohail." She said with a bright smile seemingly pure and lovely in nature. An angel without a doubt, at the time it seemed so anyhow.

Batwoman

In Response

"Hey Author,

I've through this entire chapter and you've done a pretty damn good job of it. Also, don't worry about apologizing; you've obviously been through a lot recently, so I can understand. I've got some postings for you; here's the first one."

Thank you for saying that, I hope to still have done a good job of it this week, might not have been my best in all honesty. I was kicking some kicks to the head (not really) as I was approaching my finishing point, I wanted to get it out on Friday, life said no. Anyways, on with the response. Hope you are well.

Immediate Topics:

In regards to the "BLM" Episode – Alrighty, I've thought of an amalgamation version, I can agree and think this is the better choice.

So, like before. A childhood friend from Ryan's orphanage days seeks out her assistance after trouble befalls them getting into trouble with the police. They claim their innocence, before they can be brought in, Ryan temporarily gives them sanctuary in their old orphanage, however warns her to not leave. She believes them and does everything in her power to prove her innocence, having to confront the potential biases against her friend's case. This brings uncomfortable facts to the surface.

Ryan uncovers after she's been arrested (with help from commissioner Montoya who is synthetic) in her apartment links to an anarchist group were found with death threats letters and evidence of potential harm could come towards police or public officials. After getting to ask her friend about this it's revealed she didn't in fact didn't make those threats or is part of this group, her roommate is. She's taking the fall for it however to protect them and pleads to Ryan to not involve them. Ryan disagrees pointing out how cural it is for her roommate/friend to betray her like this, letting her get the "heat." Pointing out how she'd know Whisper and her would accept their own consequences for what they've done and this person should've done the same. She reluctantly listens to Ryan and helps her track them down, leading to this group.

Once finding the roommate, she singles them out and captures them after a quick fight. In her captive, she questions the roommate's motives for letting LaShawna take the fall for those threats. It's revealed they in fact gave up Ryan's friend cause they got paid off by a cop who's apparently trying to help out the group getting LaShawna to take the heat while their plot against the police can pan out. With assistance from Montoya and more questioning of the roommate, they get the cop's identity quickly bringing them in with a lot of questions. The cop gives up his accomplices easily for some lenence, knowing otherwise would be a death sentence. It's revealed a group of some cops and high class people are manipulating this anarchist group to wage an attack on the police trying to keep GCPD off the scent of what really is happening. Once their location is given up, Ryan heads off fast with Montoya behind trying to do things by the book considering it's some of her own cops involved.

Ryan busts into the hideout getting into a braw against the group eventually coming face to face with their leader. They claim not wanting to fight and she should let this happen, which greatly confuses Ryan. The leader explains how having this happen will lead to positive change for monities (They are black themself) the thinking is, white cops will be targeted and taken out leading way for the department to expend it's ranks to be more diverse and give the people some control back. Or they could just burn down the system. Ryan points out how that won't help anything, claiming more death, leads to more death, more fear, more hate. It'll make things worse, they should be trying to keep the peace, not sink down to the level of real people who want to inflict violence, no matter the race or take advantage of a real issue turning it into a bloodbath. She believes it's insane and knows peace is the right answer, to not give real racists the chance to be right. They need to prove them wrong. Violence isn't the answer in this case. In response, the leader guy points out how throughout history how peace hasn't done anyone good, nothing changes, Killing the racists will cause change. Ryan again points out how it's exactly what a racist would do and they need to be better to win. It takes time, but they are being heard, it's getting better, equality can happen, will happen. Leader guy again brushes it off how she's naive, (maybe gives a story of him experiencing a bad encounter with a cop first hand or a loved one?) He won't believe it'll happen, not in his lifetime. His thinking of hate and continuing to twist the peace she believes in makes her angry. Along with putting her friend in danger, leads her to violently attack him until Montoya comes to stop her. He makes one last comment about how she's got the fire inside of her to change things, stop the unjust murders, but she's a coward letting it happen. Ryan's shaken by this and doesn't respond.

(talk with Luke and likely some ending with her friend along with some talk about everything with Montoya who understands her frustrations)

To expand more on Montoya, I believe she'd also be helpful like Ryan that things will get better, how killing people and taking away the police won't fix things, but create new problems. All they can do now is root out all the rotten seeds in the wide system, trying their best to make a better one.

Notes

#1. I couldn't fit it in naturally, but I think Ryan and her old friend would have 3 or 4 flashbacks to their time in the orphanage, maybe show now some of the events you mentioned in a much earlier posting. Along with finally showing the caretaker that meant a lot to Ryan.

#2. I believe Ryan might help Montoya in the following episode bring in some of those above-mentioned anarchists, as it'd be mentioned not all of them were caught. It'd be a subplot and maybe some follow-up on everything going on in the previous episode, but the main focus would be back on Kate & Julia in Coryanna.

#3. I'll be happy to have Luke and Ryan bond a little more during all these events and of course mentioning Ryan's anger and Jason Tood.

Hopefully, that combination of the two plots worked, I'm open to any alteration and fixes. Also, a reminder it'll likely change once getting to the finalized product, I usually change things mid writing and editing.

Also, I like the big sister figure idea, I'll be sure to try incorporating that into the story and my finally pick would be, Mishael Morgan. I think she'd work best as the big sister figure for Ryan, seeing a few years older. I hope this pick works for you.

In regards to "Alice 2.0" – I like that idea a lot, I'll go with it. I'm excited for that to happen, I'm sure she'll have to be an extremely dangerous threat to Gotham to get that status. I'm not sure either, I think if she's this dangerous she'll survive through season 3, as I'm sure the Crows will be hunting her down with kill orders. I think she might be a type of villain who, like the mystery she is, appears seemingly random without much of a reason potentially. We'll see. I believe at the least she'll get through season 3 alive.

How Julia's SSR friend would help further – That makes sense they would got intel on her and it's nice giving a flashdrive to them of that they know, helpful guy. I'm greatly interested in this teaser for a larger "Julia-centric" story arc in the series.I like spy things and I'd like to deal more with her time as an agent, along with of course whatever is going on in the SSR. Also, alrighty, I'll remember that, thank you.

Elaboration on Ryan and Whisper's breakup – I agree with that and was thinking of that (Foreshadowing!) I thought that was a good idea, I like the added details you give here.

Lesile Thompkins's daughter in your story – Perhaps Morena? In reference to the Gotham actress? Though, I guess that would put her ethnicity into question. I see on wiki for Leslie Thompkins's her middle name is Maurin, perhaps she named her daughter that instead or something?

The idea of Brian Krauser smiling devilishly to himself in S3E2 – Oh alrighty, that makes sense, I understand now, I'll be sure to continue though with your idea then.

Elaboration on Kate and Julia's time in Coryana – Alrighty, that seems good, I hope the beginning of this arc was satisfactory. I think I'd do 3 or 4 episodes, 5 would be stretching for sure. Hope I started that flashback parallel well!

Kate's Coryana Flashbacks – Understandable, I don't think that'd work either, I'll be sure to spread it over that arc.

Kate's time in Coryana – I agree with that assumption, it's mine as well. I'm sure the flashbacks will take place over a few months.

Jacob's thoughts about Superman – Thank you, I'm happy you were glad by that, I tried my best to keep that in and do the best I could with it. I thought it was an interesting character point for Jacob.

Personal advice – Thank you, it was a joke as I meant like "wow I'm getting progress again, maybe I could finish before season 3 begins" in text jokes can be hard sometimes, but yeah I agree with you. It would be better to take my time and improve things differently from what's going on in the canon show. I can make some poor jokes a lot of the time I think.

About the Desert Rose cure – Oh crap, I'm sorry I actually forget that, I'll keep that in mind, thank you for the reminder. I'm going to try compiling all your postings related to season 2 so I keep everything clear in my mind.

About Jacob's sound-isolation button for his office – Your welcome, glad you liked it and I'll be sure to try to remember that as the series progresses along, Yes I remember, I've sometimes come in when my mom's watched NCIS, but I don't recall seeing this happen, bad timing for my walking in on my part I guess.

Julia's Calling to Someone on Her Phone – Yes it was and yeah I think that'd make sense and be a good moment. In full transparency, I just blanked on how the conversation would go, so I left it off screen. I guess it's a happy accident?

Ps. Yes, I saw that, seems cool, I'll keep an eye on it. Fingers crossed for the Dreamer spin-off. (Insert that clown "meme" lol)

Random Topics (Part I):

Topic #1 Oh that is quite lucky, I'll look for that.

#1 Oh alrighty, thanks for the info, I tried incorporating this slightly into the episode as I figured it'd be around then. Hopefully that wasn't a massive screw up.

(Make sure this isn't a screw up)

#2 Alrighty, looking at his real age was surprising, (Honestly thought he was in his 30's which confused me) I think this real life age would work and it would make sense Clark is 4 years younger then him.

#3. Alrighty, I'll keep all this in mind if Damian every shows up or is mentioned at some point. Thank you.

Okay, I'll be sure to do that, this article sounds very helpful, thank you again for sharing it. (And I'll keep in mind of that and yeah, I don't know if Cassandra Cain could logically appear considering Ryan having her suit kinda and perhaps some characteristics? I'm not sure, I don't think she can fit, I love that character, so I'll try to think of a way if it's possible) Makes sense, it shouldn't be too hard to figure it all out.

Topic #2: I'm embarrassed, but I actually forgot about that plot thread, thank you for reminding me about it. I think now you mention this, GCPD will be having it for safekeeping, however the Crows will come take it after getting approval from the mayor so as you said, they can study it for "Operation: Knightfall." I think it'll help the investigation sub plot as Montoya will surely share this info. Thank you once again for pointing this out to me, I'm very sorry for forgetting that. I recall I did write parts of that episode before I got your suggestion and they changed a bit accordingly. I believe I intended the suit to be destroyed, however I seem to have just forget all about it and I'm grateful you recalled and now the plot will be better for it.

Topic #3: (I hope she'll stick around in the universe, unlikely, but I hope so for this series) I'd love all of that, it makes sense she would have comments about all of this. Along with feeling guilty for not helping Kate, it makes a lot of sense for who Kara is, it's believable. (I hope she'll mention guilt over Kate on her show in season 6) I think too Kara will give some hopeful response to Kate over the situation with Mary and Jacob, how idk, "strong families always find a way of fixing things. Nothing is permanently beyond repair." I'm not sure. Just off the top of my head.

Topic #4: Alrighty, I agree with you, makes perfect sense she'd identify herself as such. Understandable "Bat-Demon" would be the publicly known name, rather than "The Herald" which might confuse the public if this was the name used. Makes sense as well she'd scare the hell out of people, like right out of a horror movie, but as you say worse, fitting for a demon. Yeah, I'm not sure what name it should be. We'll likely figure it out soon I'm sure.

Topic #5: Ah, that makes perfect sense, I like that opinion Kate would have, adds more to things. Thanks for sharing it.

Topic #6: Thank you for more suggestions, I'm only really familiar with Robby Keene from "Cobra Kai" and think he's got a lot of Jason Todd vibes, so I can agree 100% with that. I trust you so I'll agree with the rest as well. I'll try to look into them more, but I'm positive it'll work out great.

Topic #7: I thought about this a lot (I originally planned a side plot in the back half of the season that would rope her in informing more appearances in the future as well, it was pretty early on before you helped shape the real season 2 here, which I believe is far better as I can see now my ideas were more, fan ficy? Like it wouldn't make sense for the series, like someone using too much freedom. If that makes sense. I'll go into more detail once getting that bonus chapter at the end of the season)

Anyways, yes I believe she should return, I've been thinking a bit about how she could possibly return and like you said become like Oracle. My current thinking is, she'd likely appear a couple more times just needing help or wanting to help out the growing team. I don't believe something bad needs to happen, I think her just wishing to make the world/Gotham a better place is enough, like Kate's inspired her to want to help better things. From my thinking, it would make the most sense if she'd join officially after Luke most likely decides eventually to become Batwing leaving his position of hanging out in the cave. Still not sure as to when that'd happen however. I do believe one way or another Parker Torres should return, showing Kate an example of the positive impact Batwoman has on people by showing humanity and helping people, not all about the crime being stopped. (Maybe when she's questioning this fact?)

Topic #8: I'm not sure if so either, likely a mention at least. I'll be sure to go with as you described here. Thank you, sounds good and Mr. Miyagi is fantastic.

Topic #9: No you're not an idiot it's fine, I promise, it's quite a lot to remember and I've forgotten plot points in my own series, so that's worse. I'm more of an idiot by a large amount you are not one. I believe so as well, it'll be perfectly fine, not such a big deal. And yes, you guessed correctly, I guess you do know me a bit after all this time. Could have her upset about being the middle child at some point as well, I'm not sure, I've heard things about being the middle one, but I don't have siblings so I don't know.

Topic #10: Alright, that's great advice, I have gone back and watched Arrow and Daredevil fights, I'll be sure to add in many other incarnations of Batman and his allies too, It'd surely help. Thank you very much.

Topic #11: Alright, that is a pretty clever way of doing it all and tieing it back into the main plot. I love this idea a lot, thank you. I'm not sure if she'll still appear, if so I'm just trying to think as to when in the season would make logical sense. I'm assuming during the period of Mary getting captured or just before? As she'd likely help in some way to ensure the cure can be taken. It is interesting how Mary is immune to toxins and such, along with how it's proven. Thank you for that reminder.

Topic #12: Oh your right, that is pretty sneaky wording. I never thought of that, I believe that you could be right. (Then again, still unclear with future knowledge of Ruby Rose saying she'd come back, which is confusing) I agree with you she isn't doing a good at all. It was quite shocking the spike down in ratings, it seems there were many more Kate Kane fans then you expected. It's shocking only continued to drop since the start, it's pretty shocking how few people are watching and nothing is being done. Yeah they should, hopefully it would do something.

Random Topics (Part II):

Topic #13: I agree heavily with Maggie Sawyer having a near breakdown upon seeing Kate in this state. That's a pretty fantastic use of continuity, I'd really love to bring that back, I remember seeing the promo and episode name thinking it would be a game-changer, then it just wasn't, I'd like having some consequences of those scary events. I like how it's kinda given her ptsd. (Story wise of course, I feel bad for her, sounds pretty bad saying that I like her suffering, I don't, it just makes the story better and I know things will get better, sorry for random note) It's understandable she's afraid of losing Kate (For all those reason) and her knowing truly Kate is her soulmate in her heart and devastated seeing the person she loves most in this state. I think she could get irrationally angry and want to hunt down to kill Bat-Beast in a blind rage, but stays with Kate instead after being told by one of the team she should be with Kate in case she does wake up. Which she agrees to never leaving her side. She'd confuse this desire once she eventually wakes up. Then Kate will calm her down making this risky plan of her's stop and not wanting her to be a murderer as she believes it would destroy part of what she loves deeply. (I think Maggie should be struggling with dark desires and anger sometimes, but have Kate to pull her back and viscera with Kate needing to be pulled back into the light)

Topic #14: I think that's a great idea. Yeah, it's alright though, it just means more freedom to write her and it's likely true you are right, along with her aunt most likely meaning a lot to her, I'd like to explore that relationship more. (It's unfortunate now I think about Maggie didn't seemingly invite her to the wedding with Alex) I think that might be a good idea, I'm not sure as how to handle it, but I'll surely think about it when the wedding is approaching. I believe it would be in character for Kate to be bad about how they treated Maggie. I think those are great picks, I'm not sure as to which one I should go with, I know both and I think both would work great. Thank you as always for the great suggestions.

Topic #15: That sounds very interesting, I love that idea a lot! I do think it's clever addressing that story point in such a grand manner like that. I love the starting point a ton, it'll be quite shocking I'm sure for many readers. I love as well how Ryan's meeting of the original Catwoman comes back here quite importantly, as nobody else on the team would really know anything. I like the confrontation between Holly and Ryan, it's smart of Ryan to use this to partially confirm their suspensions. All of this is fantastic and Holly's motivations makes sense, Bruce being so shady to the people outside of knowing he's Batman surely must lead to situations like this logically. It's quite tragic how Selina's death would happen and the clear damage it did to Bruce, along with Holly of course. (I like as well he never told his team either, makes sense) It makes perfect sense as well it'd take a long time of searching to get any answers, which aren't even true of course. Bruce must likely covered it up very well. It must have ruined Holly very much having this pain and search for revenge for so many years. I'm glad the team of course wouldn't ever believe Bruce wouldn't kill Selena, I appreciate it as well it'd take some time for them to learn the whole truth of everything. The actress pick is quite good as well. (I'm sure your excited for that movie, as I'm quite sure your a fan of the series judging by the previous references) It's a fantastic idea having this plot point line up with how things semi went in the comics as well. I love that alot! I don't believe I'll need to modify it, we'll see once starting this storyline. Do you have any thoughts when it'd begin? My guess would be season 3 or 4, then truly conclude when Bruce finally returns at last, which I do have ideas for, giving her closure hopefully and time to grieve together even. It's a fantastic concept and I can't wait to do it.

Topic #16 I understand how you feel, it wasn't right of them to do such a thing as that. I can agree with your opinion, the whole situation is frustrating and rude and disrespectful to the fan base. They should try being better, could lose them fans and just being nice is best, surely more so with everything going on.

Topic #17 It is quite a mess and yeah that is pretty annoying, I do hope considering the promo for well, ( guess hopefully tomorrow? it should be solved once this is posted, hopefully. I do suspect you might be right unfortunately, considering the wording of Tatinana saying "Time to be reunited with your sister" or something. She hates Alice a lot, so this being death, makes sense sadly. (Sorry if I don't update this section with the future knowledge, present me is leaving that for future me and I don't got a good feeling about that girl…) Anyways, it would be horrible if Safiyah and the show runner in turn too lied about this fact. (Safiyah is the showrunner confirmed, I was feeling silly writing this part) Also, I didn't get that unfortunately in Canada, heard about it later which was quite shocking and confusing as to why they'd do such a thing as that. Seems like another insult to Kate Kane fans sadly.

Topic #18: Alrighty; that seems consistent, I did wonder how exactly Luke's comment would make more sense, thank you. I love addressing this as well, I'm sure Bruce would've known better if it wasn't so distant at that time. It's great too he'd admit to this failure in these personally journal entries and Luke would find them eventually, sounds quite great, looking forward to showing some of those.

Topic #19: Yes, I did remember that, but thank you for the reminder, as I did nearly forget in the above.

In regards to your story's version of Zatanna Zatara:

I love, love, this description of how Zatanna will play out and her character. It's all brilliant, I love it a lot. (I apologize for not having more to say, I'm quite speechless, it's one of your best posting ideas, I will 1000% do all of this for her appearance or apprentices. Thank you very much for sharing. It's truly fantastic.)

What leads to the Discovery of Alice's tumor – I figured as much this would be how it'd play out, it sounds very exciting having this battle to regin her body throughout the season. I like that it seems fine at first for the beginning of season 4, makes sense. I like how it'd be Dr. Thomkins who ultimately explains what's happening to her. Yeah, understandable the team would be horrified by this, it must be quite shocking learning the true reason why Alice was created. I like the reason they told Dr. Thompkins Kate is Batwoman (and which makes her an official member)Quite a stressful situation they all find themselves in worrying for Beth to be saved, she herself is quite brave of course wanting the nightmare to end, it's understandable she'd want to take that risk. I love all of the discover of it.

Alice's Mental Battle During Her Brain Tumor Surgery – Sounds quite amazing, I think I'll use your tentative name for it. It seems like quite a shocking turn of events, but I like it a lot with how much Beth needs to battle for her survival against Alice. I like too how it'd slowly vanish as time progressed, due to the surgery going well with fixing the damage done. I love all all of it, the final battle sounds like spectacular final fight to win and I love as well Beth's mother would give her the push she needs to win defeating Alice and taking the risk of freeing the world of Alice even at the cost of herself, the Kane family being in the edge of their seats as well horriyed for Beth, it's all fantastic, I love it tons! The final part of her mind part with her mother and child self is brilliant as well. (I'm sorry for being repetitive, it's just so great and had me on the edge of my seat reading it and fully emotionally engaged. Again one of your best postings to date, the whole Alice section here)

Post-Surgery Life – It makes sense she'd struggle heavily with for her the entire would changing around her practically overnight. It's understandable they'd not dare tell her about all the horrible actions Alice committed and makes perfect sense eventually someone would seek out revenge on her, quite tragic. (In the good way if that makes sense) Indeed naturally she would be, it would be a lot to handle and running away would surely seem logical to her. I'm glad she forms many new happy memories, that will be lovely to write, including Zatanna's appearance, I'm sure Beth would be excited about that, more so in the child like state. Nice idea, not sure if it was initially, but I like her risking her life to help someone in turn does speed up the healing process, with the injury of course. I like how she would, I imagine it'd be something similar to Beth from another universe? I'm very glad as well she'd find success and end up with a good guy, with children too and one growing up to be Batwoman or something. It's a lovely end for her character, I hoped it'd end like this for her.

PS I. Alrighty, I played that game in the past, I quite enjoyed it, I guess this can be an excuse to go back and play it again to get a good idea about that.

PS II. Yes I do recall that and brief appears in the Batman The Animated Series. Yeah, I was honestly keeping it vuge, I wasn't 100% sure who died at that time, glad it worked out. That is a good assumption, it seems doubtful he was around much or at all I'd have to assume.

Random Topics Part 3 (I assume this fits)

Luke reassuring Ryan – I love that reassurance from Luke, it's very sweet and good for Ryan to hear surely, thank you for giving more details for this part.

Elaboration on Season 2 Episode Descriptions – Alrighty, that makes sense, I have the same thought process sometimes, I think I'll mentally figured out a majority of the remainder of season 2, of course keeping in mind all your future postings of course so it'll be likely to change a little which is fine.

Kate's counterargument to Jacob before being shot by him – Yeah, I remember that, it's understandable Jacob would blames everything on her as said before. It makes sense she'd make a counter argument not wanting to fight against her father and he'd be so deep into his hate of Batwoman he'd not listen already making up his mind.

About Ryan's inconsistent memories – Yes I was thinking of having this happen around then, I think it'll be quite impactful.

About the orphanage caretaker who took care of Ryan after she lost her mother – You mentioned before the orphanage should be based off design wise, "Meet the Robinsons" should be it. Perhaps a tribute to that film or something? I never watched through. (Also, speaking of which I've compiled all your season 2 related postings and remembered who you recommended to "portray" her mother so I'll keep that in mind as well in case you wondered.)

About the Naomi TV series –That's about all I know about the character as well. I do wonder if this one will get picked up and not sure if I'll watch it. Could be possible they could have her bring back the multiverse or something? Cause on Flash they keep saying it's dead and I know Star Girl is connected, but on another earth, so. Idk, just a thought.

"BLM" episode - Yeah, I thinking surely going to go with the amalgamation idea and it would be good showing how much and why it's important Kate has a bigger team to clean up Gotham once and for all.

The fair reminder - Don't worry, I'll keep that in mind. It seems heavily important to remember putting that first.

-Start

About Maggie Sawyer's life-changing case – I will have to look up both of those. (I saw the trailer for that film and watched the ending part, which was quite disturbing) I'm glad (I'll keep that in mind too) it wasn't a racist-based situation for this story, I rather a falsely accused sitation. It sounds like a quite shocking and sad turn of events, I do have to wonder how exactly so much death was caused on both sides? I get in the aftermath the families would blame Maggie as surely she'd be blaming herself as well and I'm sure hearing people believe she internally got them killed would be a devastating blow to her. I like and makes perfect sense Maggie would get violent with the other officer after making those kinds of comments, along with the other officer's ways of acting. I feel a suspension would be better, as it'd make her more upset with the situation and blame herself further for everything. It's sad she'd not chose to speak to Alex and Kara, but understandable of course. ( I remember, thank you for the reminder) I like Vic Sage deciding to train Maggie after seeing her loss of faith in the law. I don't believe I'll need to modify anything, I love it all! Thank you for another amazing posting.

Regarding the 4 remaining tentative episodes of season 2 descriptions.

(Sorry if my way of responding was strange)

19. I'm sure it'll be positively stressful for Kate searching down Mary's location. Makes sense Ryan would turn to Whisper in this time of need. I'm looking forward to Mary learning about the truth behind the Desert Rose.

20. It sounds like an exciting episode as the team is trying to contain the virus's damage and spreading destroying Gotham.

21. Should be interesting seeing the team forced to work with The Wonderland Gang to find Mary and Safiyah before time runs out.

22. I liked your revised description here.

Overall, these last episodes sound extremely exciting, looking forward to writing them.

PS I. That would make sense, I'm sure Jacob would personally make sure if this being the case.

PS II I thought it was that revelation, I still do believe that it does have great story potential for a doctor to have such a power. Makes sense, I guessed as much as well, smart thinking on Ryan's part. (Or rather yours)

Beth's Scene with Jacob in S3E3:

PS I. Alrighty, I love your explanation of how this would work and the way you've worded it here. It's brilliant, great work.

PS II I love this scene very much so. It's perfect I think, might very well copy everything posted here. If not motifry small parts. (I'll give credit and for the scene in S3E5)

Kate and Jacob's scene at the end of S3E5:

PS. Again, this is a tentative idea of how the scene should work; feel free to modify it if necessary, for when the time comes to reaching the chapter.

PS. Again, same as I said above, I love both of these, thank you. Makes my life slightly easier when I'll have to include these and helps the story having your 2 excellent scenes here,

"If, and only if, in the event that Supergirl somehow does NOT end up surviving her final season, I would then suggest you do the following when you get to Season 3 of your story:"

Thank you for accounting for this possibility.

#1 I like how this would play out, I believe it would make the most sense to be Alex calling and Luke picking up, as Mary most likely would be too devastated to look at Kate's phone, Luke would be as well, but should push to answer anyways. (It makes sense they'd not know about that I think) I'm sure it'd be another blow to the team.

#2 I love Kate doing a Jewish prayer for Kara, it would be very bittersweet. I love your explanation as well as to why she'd do this. Speaking of it, assuming Supergirl does survive, should Jacob do this sort of prayer for Kate instead? (Episode 1 or 2 of season 3?) Or if not, some sort of flashback or mention of her maternal grandparents some other way. I'd just personally like to incorporate some of her Jewish background into the series, as I do dislike how it was ignored on the tv for the most part.

#3 It makes perfect sense Kate would be saddened over the loss of her friend still, while she was in the coma and her thinking of helping Gotham. I love the idea of Maggie Sawyer showing up here, I don't know if it was internally, but there is a sweetness kinda to Maggie appearing in Kate's life while morning Kara. Might sound stupid, but kinda like Kara's given a last gift from the grave or something, not sure how to express what I mean. Hopefully you can somewhat get my thinking. Doesn't matter too much.

Regarding those rumors (Wrote per Kate Kane return) - I don't believe them, mostly because nobody else has reported on it and it's usually something that would get other reports as well. Along with saying Ryan would show up on Superman, just seems weird and yeah, I doubt it's truthful. It'd be strange if it is. (Now even more so with Kate Kane officially being recast, which I feel would've been more likely to have been leaked if someone was an insider or something)

Kate Kane's return - I was watching the episode and was thinking of how upset you'd be when the moment they seemed to say Kate was dead all along. I'm glad things actually did turn out well and she was recast as the fan choice. (It looks like my guess of putting the recast as part of the story was correct) It's great she found out about that campaign for her being recast as Kate and got this chance. It's very much understandable your angry they didn't reveal this sooner, it was frustrating actively watching these last 8 episodes, cause truthly the whole thing was a waste of time. If Ryan never got shot, Safiyah would've just been an Alice problem, which ultimately went nowhere as well honestly. It would've been so much better in so many ways if they were just upfront with Kate's fate being clear to the audience and not the chartaters, which is how things are now anyways. Was a really bad choice on their part. I'm curious how the second half will address all of this (And why Black Mask is holding her hostage, I assume) she made it sound like it'll be a storyline. It was kinda funny now in a way, Ruby Rose saying she was open to coming back days before the recast being officially and it's kinda mean they never thought to tell her about this happening before finding out like everyone else. I'm glad for you and the Kate Kane fans she's alive, I hope it'll mean a bright feature for her character.

The other posting you had (SSR/SRR, mistake) - Oh, that's unfortunate, hopefully I didn't screw it up then, I'll try to keep that in mind thank you, it's not that big of a mess up only getting one letter wrong.

Also, yeah, that would be highly unfortunate if they don't do that, I don't get why even keep her around if so. It would be much better for the two of them working together and not have either written off the show, I mean two bat people is better then one right? And it would make both fanbases happy, if one stays over the other, some fans will be allented, I agree 100% with your thinking. It's quite worrisome with how it'll all play out, hopefully we'll not have to wait as long to get answers. At least on the brightside, Kate will likely be given a proper exit at least, if they do that, which hopefully they won't.

2 casting regards - For the above, I made Hisham Tawfiq the character of Dembe. Cause truly, I'm bad with names so I picked the name of the only time I've seen him on a show called "The Blacklist." He's not a major character, but I believe he'll appear in another episode as well, so figured I'd give a casting. I apologize for not mentioning it sooner or part of this episode, it was shorta last minute his inclusion, I felt like having Kate know someone on the island would help, along with the flashbacks leading to meeting Safiyah. I've tried to keep the direction vague for the most part, as I expect you'll have some suggestions for this "arc." Along with that, the other casting I wanted to mention for later perhaps was, Jack Bannon as that friend of Julia's. He plays Alfried on Pennyworth, so I thought that would be funny and he does seem quite young and you mentioned how he'd be likely a little younger then Julia.

"The Archer" - Another thing I thought of mid writing this chapter, I thought a "mini boss" of sorts, could be beneficial. Surely Safiyah wouldn't have left the island unguarded, I figured she'd leave one of her assassins, in this case this guy. Thought it'd be fun having Batwoman face off against an archer. The main assassins seem to be named after weapons, so that teacinally is one as well I believe. This character isn't going to be a big deal. My thinking is they'll mostly just be tracking down Kate & Julia, trying to kill them while managing Many Arms of Death business, which Batwoman will be stopping while on the search to learn more about the group plans and Safiyah's of course. (I did have a backstory idea, which ties back to a one off Arrow villain and Crisis kinda)

Regarding next time - Might be a little longer to post it, 4-5 weeks I think honestly. I'm not 100% sure. With the topics in display, I feel like it'd be important to not screw it up or say anything offence or stupid or too preechy, you get the idea. It's a tight rope and I feel as if the tv show hasn't really done a great job in all honesty regarding the social issues this season. I'm hoping to do better, it's tricky to know what is right.

Bonus surprise! - I wanted to get your option on something I recently thought of, an anthology series for Supergirl, focusing on shorter stories of the people she's helped and changed their lives for the better remembering her. I think the framing device should be a documentary about her (not revealed until the end) a couple years or so after she's "gone" whatever that'll entail, as I assume she'll die or go to the future. I've been itching to tell enough stories and this one came to me out of nowhere. I fell quite in love with it and I'm wondering if you believe I should go through with it? I value your option greatly.

I believe as well being an anthology, you can feel free to pitch ideas to that series of touching mini stories. (I say mini, but like 5k max per chapter I think? Mini compared to Batwoman)

Assuming you will give a blessing or something like that, I don't think I'll wait until Supergirl is finished to start this. (In case things backfire, I'll just toss it further in an uncertain future where Supergirl is gone regardless, assuming a third option happens) I don't believe either it'll take away from Batwoman, it's my top priority. Just a side project. Like another one I might do after Supergirl is officially done, mystery….

(You don't gotta read the following, it's more of a tangent) I'm hoping this series will occur, I personally love it very much when heroes are acting heroic if that makes sense. As much as I like shows like Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, the rest of the CW stuff and Marvel shows too, not many have much saving people, more beating up the baddies which is fine of course. Just Superman and Lois's opening, along with other moments of showing Superman helping people and just being a sweetheart reminded me of the delight of a caring hero saving people's lives and bettering the world without throwing punches. (As fun as those punches and kicks and whatever else are. And I'm not sure if you have been watching it, I assume you are and hope your enjoying it a lot) Two of my favourite Superman moments would have to "All Star Superman" that penel if you saw it before, of Superman comforting the suicidal girl (which I hope will be in an opening or something of Superman & Lois, it'd be very touching) and one in a more recent "Superman Up In The Sky" it had a very lovely ending, both those moments will stick with me personally forever. I want to capture that lovely magic in this series, stuff is pretty hopeless in the world it feels and honestly I do too a lot, so I hope it could be helpful and touching.

Last minute inclusion, Batwoman episode 9 - I intended to post before, but again, life so, but sorta glad I didn't cause the events of the episode. A few things here, no real order, rushing to post. Sophie has a sister out of nowhere? Okay, it was decent and maybe something that could be incorporated into the series? I really have not many ideas when it comes to Sophie sadly, so I'll take anything. The team wants to make a community center, sounds formulir? I have to wonder sometimes if I'm sharing a brain wave or something with a batwoman writer lol. Or one is reading this...speaking of which Black Mask arrived and was shorta like I was pitching to you, with some differences of course. Like the daughter "Batwoman killed" which seems like something out of Arrow season 6 if you remember, my bet is Safiyah is responsible somehow, or someone else. I'd guess Safiyah considering this "Enigma" woman is helping him mess with Kate's head it sounds like, which is a little concerning. My prediction with how Ryan and others were talking is, Kate will temperley be turned evil for a little bit then be defeated by Ryan and Alice maybe? Alice will have figured out how to fix the brain messing thing fixing herself, kinda and Kate more importantly by the finale. Last thing I can think of is, that useless commissioner was killed off, maybe opening the door for Renee Montoya? I guess it's possible considering she was in that movie with the weird title and Blackmask that came out a year ago, so, maybe? Idk, could fit with this reforming the police thing they're going on about. Just quick thoughts.

Thank you as always for all the postings, best wishes and hopefully the coming episodes of Batwoman will give Kate Kane some more respect. Fingers crossed for that for all the Kate Kane fans watching.
