Synopsis: "The finale of season 2 is here. The three-way battle between Batwoman, Alice, and Safiyah finally reaches its conclusion. Jacob's tolerance and hatred for everything and anything Bat-related reaches the critical point in the aftermath of this battle and, with the mayor's approval, he decides to execute his 'Operation: Knightfall' plan, which ultimately results in disastrous consequences that will affect not only Team Batwoman, but the entire Kane family and Gotham itself in the shocking double length end to the season."

Safiyah was in a convoy driving away, with multiple vehicles keeping them secured and leaving now. Silently, the rage for Knife's betrayal was burning deeply and she couldn't possibly understand as to why she'd rather die helping Kate Kane, a woman who she truly despised for years. What'd that say about Safiyah herself?

One of her people cleared their throat, needing to speak. "We have a situation."

She looked at them closely, looking unpleasantly. "What type of situation now? I want out of this city, I've had more than enough."

"Well, that's the problem. The dock has been compromised. Police have arrived and they didn't have the firepower to hold them back." Her helper explained looking quite terrified to be sharing this.

Safiyah didn't look concerned. "We still have our backup ship. No problem." She replied and drank some expensive booze.

"Actually." They began saying and looked greatly terrified. "That's the bigger problem, the ship has pulled out. We have no escape plan by sea now I'm afraid."

She leaned forward. "And why the hell did that leave! What possible reason did that give? The police didn't know its location, correct?"

"It's a betrayal, Ms. Sohail. The board has turned against you. Abandoned us here in Gotham to die." They finally revealed.

Safiyah instantly dialed Fatama trying to remain calm not believing this information shaking her head. 'Where is my escape reroute? I need to get out of Gotham, right now! You can't be pulling our resources!"

She chuckled softly. "You are in no position to demand anything. See, your out Safiyah The Many Arms of Death are moving on without you. For the better I should add, thanks to your insane activities it gave the perfect chance to cut you loose. Goodbye, even if you leave Gotham and manage to return to the island we'll shoot you on sight."

"Oh no, when I leave Gotham I'll have your head and the heads of the rest of the board! You've only ensured your own demise. I'm leaving here and I'm going to get everything that I wanted." Safiyah hung up looking confident, but knew this meant they'd have to escape the old fashion way. In their vehicles which wouldn't be easy. More so with Batwoman and Alice on her tail, regardless she'd be ready. This is the end of their fight one way or another.

Safiyah then turned to her assistant. "Prepare yourself, we're going to release the virus if any of our enemies get close. This is it." She grabbed on to the device getting ready for the worst.

Kate Kane arrived back at the batcave, with a safe and sound Mary on the back holding on pretty tight due to being tried.

Upon seeing them come in, Luke had managed to relax again and harried over to welcome them back feeling filled with joy seeing Mary again. "You're both back! About time you were worrying me sick!" He rushed over and hugged Mary.

"Thanks Luke, it's so nice to see you again too! Felt like forever!" Mary hugged him back happily.

"Wait, where is Ryan?" Luke then questioned noticing she was gone and then realized they were light another too. "Oh crap, where is Alice? Please don't say she got away, Gotham doesn't need anymore trouble today! Seriously! It seems worse than any zombie apocalypse movie I've seen out there right now!"

Kate took off her mask for a moment sighing knowing he wasn't wrong at the virus situation in Gotham. "We'll find Alice, she can't stay hidden. Besides, she'll probably go after Safiyah, a perfect opportunity to take them both down at the sametime. Along with the rest of the Wonderland gang, so when we send her back to Arkham there won't be any breakouts this time. On the matter of Ryan, she's okay, don't worry. She'll be meeting back up with us when we find Safiyah."

He nodded and looked over at Mary. "Looks like we're on cave duty. Which is the best place to be right now, no unwelcome visitors are getting in here."

Kate looked over at the bat computer. "Are you receiving files?" She asked curiously.

"Yes!" He then paused knowing he'd need to lie. "Julia was just sending me any intel on Safiyah she could gather around. Nothing of value so far, but uh there is a ton of information to look through so I'll keep on looking."

"Okay, keep working on that." Kate then looked at her phone seeing Montoya was calling her. "Hello?"

"We found Safiyah's convoy and secured the docks. The only way out of Gotham now is across the Gotham bridge. She's going to get caught, this is almost over. We could use your assistance in the takedown." Montoya expressed.

Batwoman looked over at her friends. "Gotta go again." She remarked and headed out once more into the night feeling exhausted, but having to keep pushing on.

Elsewhere, Ryan sat on her bike outside of the orphanage lost in thought. She knew things weren't okay in her relationship, from all the lies and once she walked in that door she'd have to confront everything. Whatever her love wished to speak about, Ryan could tell it would be serious and knew too she could be called away again at a moment's notice with Safiyah still out there.

It appeared as the right call, waiting, as Kate contacted her. "I'm on Safiyah's tail, where are you? Could use some help if you can."

Ryan glanced over at her home for many years sighing. "I'm available, what's a partner in this business for otherwise? I'll be right behind you, can Luke tell me where I'm going?"

"Actually, we can track each other's bikes. Should be a tracker in the center." Kate replied confidently.

She realized where it was and indeed it worked. "Got it! That's a neat trick. He really is like Q, ha. Alright on my way." She looked back one more time before driving off.

Unknown to her, Whisper saw this and felt hurt seeing Ryan heading back off into the night unclear if she'd return.

The heroes met up, finding Montoya waiting for them while on the phone looking quite unhappy to say the least, setting up a barcade.

"Glad you're here, we've got a problem."

"When don't we?" Batwoman replied sarcastically.

Montoya looked not as amused. "We've cornered Safiyah, but I think she's released the virus again. Still haven't even contained it in the second release site, we could handle anymore releases of the virus! The Crows are completely trigger happy and out of their collective mind. People are dying."

"She's got the cure on her, I'm going to retrieve it. Make sure nobody can get in here, Alice is on the loose and I think she's going to try taking her shot." Batwoman spoke to Montoya.

Black Bat tapped her shoulder. "Thinking that might be already too late, I spotted a blip of movement on that roof over there. Unmistakably, I saw a rocket launcher."

"Crap, we have to move in now. Can you keep Krauser at bay for us? Last thing we need is his leadership." Batwoman replied about to grapple onto the buildings to get a closer view.

"I'll do my best. Go." Montoya replied and walked off, as the heroes made their way back onto the rooftops, immediately spotting some of Alice's Wonderland gang getting ready to fire into the street.

Furthermore, they spotted more infected people down below only a few for now, but that would obviously grow in numbers.

"We've still got our work cut out." Black Bat remarked.

In the Crows HQ, Sophie Moore was dealing with her own troubles seeing in an integration room trying to think of a story.

Jacob Kane finally barged in looking less than pleased to say the least sitting right down and slamming a file on the table. "You left our servers exposed to an outside hacker for what? To warn Batwoman?" He opened the folder. "The hacker was primarily looking for anything that retained to this operation. Who are they?"

"I have no idea sir." She sighed not wanting to lie unless necessary, wanting now to just speak her mind to him. "I wasn't told of their identity, they wanted to keep it anonymous which you can't blame them considering your declaring war on Batwoman!"

"This is for the sake of Gotham. You can't blame me for what I'm trying to do, bring in a criminal Sophie! That's all I am doing!" Jacob responded back looking pissed. "You broke the law, do you understand that!?

Sophie looked right at him dead on. "You are planning on killing her! You've got bullets to kill her, this was always your plan! To put a bullet in the best hero this city has for what reason? Revenge? You just can't see what she's doing!"

"She's caused a lot of trouble for this city! And it's going to end tonight." Jacob Kane replied to her looking frustrated. "You disgust me, turning on all of us! After everything we've been through, I trusted you more than anyone else in this building for a time! Now, it's all different. How did this happen? What happened to you?"

"Says the man planning a murder! Your intend on killing Batwoman while there is a woman releasing a deadly virus onto the city! You're in here planning on taking her down, Mary your own daughter was taken by said woman too!"

Jacob shook his head at her. "She's been recovered from what I heard, but that doesn't matter right now she's safe. Right now after Safiyah Sohail is taken into custody, I'm going to finish my job, protecting Gotham! Which means, Batwoman has to go, so this city can finally go back to normal!"

"How can it? You don't think people will be questioning your authority if you kill Batwoman? Then there is Alice, she's still running around and sure as heck is a significantly higher threat than Batwoman!"

"We'll find Alice and put her in Arkham, for good this time." Jacob responded coldly, turning away.

"With help from Brain Krauser? I heard he's back in Gotham, I can't believe you'd turn to him during all this! He's not going to help, you know what he's capable of doing!" Sophie shouted at him.

Jacob turned back briefly. "Who else do I have to turn to?" He said softly with a frown and left Sophie alone.

Back over with the heroes, they moved slowly across the rooftops closing in on a bunch of The Wonderland Gang preparing to open fire on the street below. With the element of surprise, they snuck up and started to take them down. It was easy enough with only a few of them, with two holding humongous rocket launchers which made them unable to join the fight getting knocked out swiftly.

Batwoman grabbed a tight hold onto one of the gang's members. "Where is Alice? And the rest of your people for that matter!"

"Going to kill Safiyah. You're too late bat!" They responded.

She turned her attention to the street below, hearing gunfire coming nearby with cops rushing over and more infected below.

"A diversion, we gotta move." Batwoman and Black Bat rushed off the roof heading down into the warzone on the streets below knocking out one of the thugs below working for Alice.

A bunch of The Wonderland Gang members looked over and started firing at the heroes while some others presused down the rest of Safiyah's people having a gunfight in the alleyways.

"This is insane!" Black Bat exclaimed ducking for cover.

"Okay, obviously now letting Alice out and trusting her for even a minute was a humongous mistake. We got this." Batwoman said to her calmly reassuring her partner, who gave a nod and took a breath.

"Let's go then." Black Bat replied activating her shield tanking some of the bullets as Batwoman leaped out of cover taking the distraction disarming all the thugs with quickly thrown batarangs, moving in to take them down simply with their lack of fighting skills making them easy to take down. Not to mention Batwoman's aggression with being sick of the day. They weren't the biggest threat, everything else was.

A grande landed in front of Batwoman. She didn't even have time to make a remark, instead ducking for cover putting the cape up as it exploded. Then some more were thrown over. Now she grappled upwords avoiding more explosions. "Get out of the way now Black Bat!" She exclaimed to her partner.

As expected, she certitly reacted and gappled along as well escaping as more came their way.

"A grenade launcher." Batwoman concluded. "Not great." This was further proven to be true, as more landed on their rooftop making them continue to dodge.

Down below, Safiyah was trying to escape with her people in the vehicle. "What is going on? Was it Alice?" She immediately started to question.

"Yes, our people are trying to find her. She fell for the decoy convoy. Though it would appear they're extremely close to us. They spotted Batwoman too." Her assistant replied looking out the window.

"Batwoman doesn't matter now, just kill Alice." Safiyah responded and then was immediately given a problem.

The Wonderland Gang ambushed the front of the convoy taking out the first vehicle, opening fire on it making it all halt. There was nowhere else to escape to, with a few other cars around with civilians inside.

Safiyah looked completely furious upon seeing Alice reveal herself giving a little cheeky wave and aiming a gun at her car, then getting quite angered realizing it was bullet proof, seeming to get pissed.

She went to exit the car.

"Ms. Sohail, I recommend we stay in the vehicle. The driver will get us out of here, we should stay with the device." The assistant recommended.

She waved that off. "No, no. I'm going to end this myself, kill that little deranged woman. Keep the doors closed, the device is our final useful trick. Release the last virus if Batwoman comes. Make it spread maxim amount" Safiyah expressed cocking her gun exiting the car.

"Ah! Safiyah! Glad you can finally join us!" Alice exclaimed looking pleased and then hid behind a car getting shot at. "That isn't very nice! Thought you'd be happier to see me, after all we've been through a lot together! You haven't wanted me dead yet, so what's changed? Deary?" Alice remarked in a sarcastic tone.

"I've finally come to my senses, sparing you was a mistake! I should've killed you years ago! Would've made everything so much simpler!" Safiyah shouted at her, firing at her and killing a couple of Alice's thugs. "Remember! I'm a good marksman." She replied coldly, getting in close for a killing shot.

That was until Batwoman leaped off a building knocking Safiyah down, then getting in the way of gunfire. Which was Alice trying to finish off Safiyah.

"Hey Baty! Get out of the way please!" Alice shouted out, continuing to fire, then spotted Black Bat swooping down, knocking out one of Safiyah's people, then turning her attention to Alice. Seeing this, she laughed nervously and started to run off.

Black Bat gave chase, but was quickly tackled getting into another fight as Alice continued running off.

Now, Batwoman and Safiyah got up looking at each other.

"You always show up, right in time don't you? To make my life so much more difficult. How about we make a deal?" Safiyah remarked, brushing herself off.

Batwoman grabbed onto her and pushed her against a wall looking completely furious at her old lover. "No deals. You released a virus onto the city that's killing a lot of people and has caused a helluva lot of damage to the city. You're lucky I don't throw you into a bottomless pit. Where is the cure? You have one somewhere, I'm sure of it."

"Perhaps. Why would I tell you? Maybe I'm content with this, if I have to die. Well, at least we'll burn together." Safiyah replied looking smug and looked over as the virus got released further in the area. "See? Within a few minutes this city will be filled with infection, we'll be dead in minutes. Your city will be dead in hours!"

She scoffed. "No, you're not content dying here. I don't believe you. The ego you have is far too large to allow that to happen." Batwoman responded back.

Safiyah stared at her with a smirk. "You really want to test that theory?"

"I would yeah. After all, you infected people on this street, I'm sure the virus would easily be passed onto you. How about that?" Batwoman suggested, not truly intention on infecting her enemy.

After a moment of thought, Safiyah tried to break loose attacking Batwoman, getting highly aggressive in her attacks, breaking loose from the grip. Now she tried to take a swing at Batwoman failing, getting her arm grabbed onto and twisted.

"You weren't always the best fighter you know? Despite how persistent you are, Knife never taught you to be that good." Batwoman pointed out. "Fighting isn't going to get you out of this. Give me the cure and we all get out of this."

Safiyah looked not willing to assist, but this changed as some infected started coming down the alleyway. "You won't do this, get us both out of here!'

Batwoman cuffed her to the wall giving her attention to the incoming infected fighting them off keeping them back. "Look at them! Look at what you did! If my city is going to die, then we die with it! Give me the cure now!" Batwoman exclaimed to Safiyah, who didn't appear to care. This was until some infection nearly reached her, almost spreading it onto her.

"Fine, fine! You win! It's in the car!" Safiyah finally relented, throwing over some car keys to Batwoman.

Batwoman knocked out the infected as they reached Safiyah.

She rushed inside grabbing the device at long last pulling it out. "How do I activate it?" Batwoman wondered and then contacted Luke. "I've got the device I need to start releasing the cure now."

"Wait, we should make sure we can release a lot of it first and produce more! Not to mention figuring out how exactly it works."

She looked over at more infected approaching closer, along with GCPD fighting them off keeping them contained, barely. "I don't exactly have much time here." She glanced over at Safiyah who was looking greatly concerned. "Hold that thought."

"I'll tell you everything. Just don't let me die here! I refuse to die to what I unleashed!" Safiyah exclaimed to Kate looking furious. "You look serious and afraid, that's something I never thought I'd see again. If you are lying I sw-"

"I'm not lying! Just finish this! All you have to do is release the cure, it's in the car. Along with others, of course I'd be carrying around cures in case of the worst happening. Which was clearly the correct choice!"

Batwoman looked inside the car again, ignoring the assistant who was hiding. She then found a case filled with cures, now looking back at Safiyah. "You're not insane enough to kill us all. Trick me into releasing the virus further, that'd kill you for certain."

"You're entirely correct, I'm not insane like Alice, good for me. Just release the damn cure already!" Safiyah yelled at her glancing over at the infected civilians getting closer and closer with every moment that passed, any second it'd be over with their numbers only continuing to grow now including the cops.

Batwoman knew it was now or never, contacting Luke again for instruction on how to properly trigger it, getting an answer and activating the device now spreading out a blue mist into the air, leaving the hero unaffected.

As for those infected on the city block, they all started to fall over, passing out and returning back to normal, from their terrifying forms.

"It's over." Batwoman sighed with relief, only to once again be attacked by Safiyah getting the drop on her trying to dig a knife to her face. "Trying to steal tricks from the woman you murdered?" She retorted, creaking Safiyah across the face, being strong enough to break loose.

"She was weak, I don't regret leaving her to die." Safiayh replied unconvincingly.

Batwoman shook her head. "You're lying, I can tell it on your face. It's hurting you, losing the only person who actually cared about you for real? She believed in you and for all that, the woman died because of you."

Completely furious from this she used her last ditch effort move, revealing a grenade and held onto the pin. "You have the cure, let me walk away. My organization has been taken from me, my resources. You have no reason to fight me any further."

Kate scoffed. "You've gotta be kidding me. Nothing, not even a bomb is going to stop me from getting you. By the way, my suit can take a grenade, can you Safiyah?"

She dropped it, pulling the pin and then ran as fast as she could ducking into an alleyway, as Batwoman hid for cover too.

After it went off, Kate rushed over to find Safiyah finding her desperately trying to jump a fence, failing at it, giving up lying on the ground. "You're done Safiyah, like you said yourself, you have nothing left."

Safiyah tried reaching for a gun one last time, with Batwoman stepping on her hand and starting to put on handcuffs. "Your belt is full of everything you need isn't it? I bet you are feeling so proud of yourself!"

"You're going to prison for the rest of your life. I'm going to make certain of that and yes Safiyah, I do." Kate said, relieved by her victory.

Interrupting this brief moment, Black Bat came rushing over. "Are you alright?"

"Perfect, now we have her. What about Alice?" She asked, realizing that there was a chance she escaped.

"Alice is gone, she's got a lot of people left over. We shouldn't have underestimated her Batwoman, that was a mistake." Ryan pointed out.

In agreement she gave a nod. "You're right, I made a horrible mistake, damn. I should've never thought I could keep a handle on Alice."

With a sigh Black Bat looked at Safiyah. "At least we've got her now and released the cure, should get to work on mass producing it now. Should give it to Montoya. I got an update from Luke."

"You're right, we need to start curing people right now. She isn't going anywhere or worrying about her. Right Safiyah?" Batwoman questioned knowing the answer.

She scoffed and spat, giving her answer wanting to desperately kill them all having her anger overcome her.

The police were arriving on the scene with Montoya who immediately rushed over first looking around. "Tell me you have the cure."

"We do. And the mastermind. Make sure you have everyone you can spare watching her, have to be sure." Batwoman replied, handing over Safiyah and pointed towards the car with the cure inside.

The proper people rushed over. "We should be able to get a cure soon." One of the CDC people said.

"There is a dispersal device, it cured all these people around here. How many people are infected? How many hurt?"

Montoya sighed looking at her and then at Safiyah. "A lot of people, close to a hundred, have died or been hurt so far, mostly injuries at least. That's on her."

Angry Batwoman stared at her. "You hear that? What you did to so many people? Are you feeling proud of yourself? That you're going to prison for what? A failed plan."

"Almost won and that's what I am going to hold onto. We'll be meeting again one day soon enough, this isn't the end." Safiyah said with a smirk being taken away.

Batwoman had to stop herself from making a move of aggression against her taking a step back walking away with Ryan.

With a sigh of relief Black Bat put her arms in the air. "Did we win? Is this the end?"

Hearing that it didn't even occur to Kate that it was most likely the truth, Safiyah was finally beaten and had nothing left. "You're right, can't believe it. All we have to worry about now is having the proper evidence to convict her."

"Surely we will easily after everything she's pulled today. Should we return to the cave, well actually just you. I got a relationship to save." She said softly.

Kate understood and put a hand on her shoulder gently looking at her empathetically knowing the feeling. "It'll be okay. All you can do is fight for you two."

"Yeah, good luck to us both." She said and the two left.

Elsewhere, back in the Crow's HQ, Sophie was in lockdown and was being temporarily transported to holding as they figured out what to do with her. As they did, Jacob Kane was busy getting the news of Safiyah's capture.

"Was it Batwoman who got the capture of Safiyah?" He immediately questioned upon getting the news.

"Yes sir, it was her. The point is, the suspected terrorist is in custody. GCPD are currently providing evidence to her crimes, we should help." Proctor began looking over at Julia who was walking over with papers.

She handed it to Kane. "What is this? About Moore?"

"About Safiyah. My friend who helped us out of Coryana helped gather evidence, make sure she's incriminated. Here I got records, money transitions, connections to other known terrorists and killers. Most importantly, the record of the shipping of her giving approval for the virus to be brought to Gotham." She explained giving out a sigh, naturally having Sophie on the mind.

"It's good work Pennyworth." Kane replied, looking it over. "I'll spread this to everyone else, we might actually be able to keep her locked up for the rest of her miserable life." He turned over and handed over the evidence.

"I do want to talk about Sophie, is this necessary? Taking her into custody?" Julia questioned, looking angry.

Kane got in her face. "She committed a crime, now Moore is paying the price for breaking the law. You better hope and pray that I don't find out you have any part in her actions or you'll be joining her in due time."

"Am I under arrest sir?" Julia immediately shot back.

"No. You're free to do whatever you please, until we find actionable evidence of your involvement, there is nothing I can do. Get out of my sight." Jacob said, walking away starting to look over the evidence with everyone.

Julia clenched her fists walking away too, starting to form a plan of how to help out Sophie before it got worse.

The two heroes returned to the batcave, feeling in higher spirits after finally taking down Safiyah, at least all they could do. It'd be up to the courts to make it stick. For now though, it was a real big victory they spent months working to make happen finally a reality. It felt good as they pulled into the cave.

"Yay! Your back!" Mary exclaimed over the moon in excitement running towards them and hugging both at the sametime.

"You're going to break my back hugging so tight Mary." Kate remarked sarcastically, but did smile to herself a little, liking the hug a bit and starting to get more used to it. "This was one long night."

Ryan hugged back. "Feels good to be back too! And yeah, it really was a long night alright, at least we took Safiyah down for good and stopped the virus!"

"It was like an end of the world zombie movie and you two stopped it! You guys stopped the end of the world from happening! You did awesome!" Mary exclaimed happily.

"Though Alice is still out there." Kate added in. She got loose from Mary's hugging and started to walk over to the batcomputer where Luke was working. "What are you working on?"

He stood up. "Oh nothing important don't worry, we should celebrate! We won for now and should be proud of that!"

Ryan came over nodding in agreement with Mary behind. "He's absolutely right, we can worry about Alice tomorrow or whenever she pops her head out again. For now it's true we won and stopped an internatual terrorist from destoying our city!"

"Oh yeah that's a big win for sure! We should have a drink! Or a full on party!" Mary jumped in saying. "Is your bar finished rebuilding yet? It's gotta be!"

She thought about it for a moment. "I'm not sure, haven't actually had any real time to ask rather or not they finished. I'd have to imagine the answer might be yes."

"Might it be? Let's go check!" Mary said happily.

"How about tomorrow? For now, I am more than happy having a small celebration and then sleeping for a while." Kate replied, taking off her mask, putting it down near the bat computer, where Luke gave it a glance. "Actually, I might just take a break right now. It's really been a long night. I'll be back soon, just need a little shut eye, even if not for long." She said, going to lay down for a few minutes at least.

Ryan sighed knowing what she needed to do as well. "Uh, yeah. I actually gotta go too. My girlfriend isn't too happy with me and I want to patch things up between us."

"Fair enough! Hope we'll get to meet her sometime, sure you two are adorable together!" Mary expressed happiness and looked over at Luke who seemed off in his own world. "Hey, earth to Luke! Our friend needs some reassurance!"

He glanced over. "Oh! Sorry I heard, I really hope you'll work things out with her now you are really in love with her."

"That I am. Thanks you two seriously." Ryan went to hop on her bike, having a little hesitation fearing how this would go. Nonetheless she drove off.

"And I think I'll make sure Kate's doing alrighty then." Mary remarked and went off to do so as Luke looked over at Batwoman's mask.

Safiyah Sohail was transported to police custody at last getting put into GCPD lockup with the highest amount of security. Her first words were expected once getting settled and cuffed all over. "Where is my lawyer?"

It took a moment for an answer as Montoya came along looking quite pissed off. "You really have brought a lot of hell to our city, it'll be nice sending you off to prison."

"You have no concrete evidence, besides a vigilante attacking me. Whatever you think you've found, it'll be thrown out in court. My lawyers will make sure of that, they've been well paid ahead of time." She said cocky.

Montoya smirked. "Funny you mentioned that, we're working with the Crows currently looking though every single thing you've done in your entire life. Even got some helpful little evidence, from the little we've verified, you were making a lot of sketchy purchases. Let's see, that'd include getting yourself a ship into the country past the coast guard, even bribing some of them. Nasty stuff gets better with the contents of that ship. The virus we found and some bombs. All highly against the law and all in your name. Well, false name, but we tracked it back to you."

"It could be despised in court. That wouldn't be enough." Safiyah scoffed, starting to get tensed up.

"See, it gets better. Following that money, we traced it to some guns too. One of which you owned and appeared to have fired, you shouldn't have a gun. That's definitely something we can hold you on. And, we're going to have proof of your bombing of that building, not to mention someone is going to be willing to talk. Even more so considering we are taking all your money. You're broke. No more paying people off. I got confirmation from the mayor himself that he approved everything we're doing."

She started rapidly shaking her head trying to stand up. "Your lying commissioner, the Mayor of your great city, was making a deal with my company. Quite a few in fact, were in the process of one right now. There is no chance he'd risk it. No way, madam, my freedom is safe. He'd be deeply in trouble surely for multiple reasons. My bet is your bluffing big time."

"Your bet is incorrect. In fact, lookie here I'm getting a video call request from Jacob Kane and the Mayor." She answered it, turning the camera to Safiyah. "Ask him yourself if you think I'm lying. You're both on with Sohail."

"Thank you commissioner." The mayor replied.

Jacob Kane then started talking. "Safiyah Sohail, we've continued to look through evidence of all the tons of horrible crimes you've been involved in. That would include you kidnapping my daughter, Mary. I have proof now, an eye witness just turned on you who will testify. And from my understanding, you have no more power left or resources to stop anyone from speaking out against you."

"Whoops." Montoya said mockingly, as Safiyah's eyes closed clenched them together looking extremely pissed trying to keep the anger inside.

"I'll have this all thrown out. You won't be able to keep me locked up forever." Safiyah's tone wasn't exactly convincing.

Montoya went to leave, going to speak privately to them. "We'll see about that Ms. Sohail, goodbye." She started speaking to them. "Thank you, both for the assistance in bringing her in."

"You did good commissioner Montoya, as difficult as this was." The mayor said, turning off the video.

"Commander, I'm glad we managed to put aside our differences to bring down the real threat to the city." She said, looking at him, with some suspicion.

He nodded silently and turned off his video too. There was a bad feeling in her stomach, but ignored it not knowing what it was about.

Elsewhere in Gotham, Alice had returned back to base with her people highly frustrated grabbing a vase tossing it across the room. "Gah! I've been denied my revenge on Safiyah and Batwoman again! Now the police will be having their way with her! I can't get to her in prison! Going to be throwing her behind into the deepest darkest hole imaginable after all the fun she's had!" Alice was shouting and then started to kick the wall, accidentally hitting her foot too hard. "Ouch. I think I broke my foot!"

"Boss, I don't think you'd be standing on your foot if you broke it." One of her thugs started to say.

Alice didn't look happy about raising their gun at them, before she could fire, they rightfully ran off to hide somewhere. "Ah! I can't even shoot correctly anymore! This has proven to be a horrible day!"

Another one of her thugs carefully approached. "Alice, just got word from our contact in The Crows building. Kane is planning something major!"

This sparked interest. "Oh! Major how?"

"He's gearing up for a takedown, considering Safiyah is outta the picture now that only really leaves us and Batwoman." They expressed.

"Oh really now? Hmm, I think I'm going to put my money on Batwoman!" She exclaimed happily, starting to think of the possibilities this could bring. "Tell me we can get the radio of The Crows? I need to hear every detail! And a front seat!"

Back over with Batwoman, she was getting a little bit of shut eye. Only really lasting an hour maybe before getting up, not resting the best feeling uncomfortable, it was better than nothing. After hardly sleeping for weeks, maybe months now. It wasn't so bad. All Kate could hope for was getting better sleep tomorrow.

"Aww sleepy head is waking up!" Mary remarked jokingly and gave her a playful nug to the rib.

"Maybe not there, it kinda hurts." Kate replied and gave Mary a nug back. "Safiyah wasn't easy to take down. She did a number on me, at least now she'll be rotting inside of a jail cell forever."

Mary nodded along. "Least there is that. Wish I could've kicked her butt too!"

"Don't worry, I gave her a couple good punches for you." She replied with a smirk.

Interrupting their conversation, Luke came rushing in. "There is an incoming broadcast coming in, you both gotta see it."

It was a broadcast going on with Commander Kane from within Crows HQ. "This is a message for Batwoman. I want us to have a sit down, work out the issues we've had with one another, for the sake of Gotham. For too long, we've been fighting with each other and it's time for that to come to an end. On the screen is an address where our meeting can happen, tonight. This city has had enough chaos happening throughout the last few years. For the sake of our city, for Gotham. Come down in the next 30 minutes or no deal and face us down, come alone without your sidekick, Black Bat. It's time for our conflict to reach its end. Thank you." His message stopped, the news broadcast was continuing reporting on it.

Kate stood up immediately. "I can't ignore this."

"He's got plans to take down Batwoman! You! It's gotta be a trap, this could end seriously badly!" Luke exclaimed, frightened for her safety.

"Doesn't matter, my dad's right. This can't keep going on. Maybe I'll be able to reason with him before things keep getting worse!" Kate replied back.

Mary put her hands up. "We should tell Ryan and Julia, get you some serious back up if he does something stupid!"

"He said only Batwoman and we don't have much time, his deadline is probably so we can't get too prepared." Kate pointed out putting on her mask.

"You're hurt from your fights with Safiyah! This isn't a great plan!" Mary added in.

Luke cleared his throat. "And I actually have worse news on top of this. I won't lie to you both, I was actually trying to figure out how to say it for you both when you came back. You can't go out there. Julia was helping me find more info and she discovered with help from Sophie, he's got Kryptonite bullets. That's what the batsuit spare was being used for, to make sure it could get through your suit. Also, Sophie was apprehended trying to get this. Julia told me not to say anything, but I refuse to keep this a secret, even more now! He could actually kill you Kate!"

"Sophie's in danger? Arrested?" Kate immediately questioned.

Mary shook her head wildly. "That's not as important as bullets that could kill you! This could be extremely bad for you, we gotta get Ryan involved! Though I bet she'd come on her own accord anyhow!"

"You're right, all this is bad. We're in serious danger. So I have to end this tonight. I can't back down from this." Kate reassured, going to head out looking toward her bike.

"We gotta come up with a plan! Be careful!" Luke added in, following along.

Batwoman got onto her bike. "My dad is dragging Sophie into this conflict. Could she actually face jail time?"

He sighed looking down. "Yeah, it's a possibility. I think Julia can handle it."

Mary tried reaching out to Kate. "Come on, please let's just breathe and think of options we have. I'll start trying to call Ryan!"

Batwoman looked concerned. "I have to convince him to drop this, I won't let Sophie get thrown into prison for protecting me. She's a Crow and wouldn't survive in prison. Our dad knows that Mary, he's out of control. I gotta go. Call Ryan." She started to drive off.

"Wait! I have something to tell you!" Luke exclaimed, but it didn't reach Kate who was solely focused on getting out there.

As the message aired, inside of the Crows HQ, they were getting ready to mobilize about to head outside to give Batwoman a final showdown.

Jacob Kane was standing up on a post looking at his unit, all the while other Crows were moving out too, leaving first, going to help keep the area contained.

"Everyone. I'm proud of what we've done, of your training. This is going to bring the brightest era to Gotham City, finally bringing an end to the vigilante threat once and for all. After seeing Batwoman be taken down, the likelihood someone would dare try continuing the legacy of the bat would be slim. We're going to show tonight once and for all, The Crows are more than capable of keeping Gotham safe! There is going to be no more lawlessness. Operation: Nightfall is easily the most important mission ever undertaken by us. I have complete confidence you all will handle this perfectly and finally bring down the bat. All the training will pay off and I couldn't have picked a better team for this. Good luck everyone."

They all gave a little cheer, before getting ready to headout with Kane right behind them, with Proctor coming to stop him for a moment. "What about Black Bat? There is a chance she could show up."

"You're absolutely right and when the time comes, we'll take her down. If she shows up I am confident you and the rest of the team can handle her. In fact, if we spot her, I want you to lead the charge against Black Bat."

Proctor was surprised, but seemed honored. "I'll do it sir. Both bats will be gone after tonight, that's a certainty."

Ryan reached the orphanage hastating before walking through the door, heading over to find her sitting in the secret back room slowly opening it up, finding her love standing up immediately looking relieved. Then, overcome with frustration on her face. "I'm sorry for being gone so long."

She didn't respond with words, only giving a look of disappointment towards her.

"You should know, Mary is safe, all thanks to you. We even took down Safiyah, saved a lot of people. It's all because of you giving us the info we needed." Ryan replied, trying to look more cheerful.

"I'm glad to hear that." She finally said and then sighed. "So, Batwoman is Kate Kane, right Ryan? Your boss."

Ryan's face gave it away.

"I figured as much. You've been doing this behind my back, for months. Lying right to my face. How long have you been lying for? Our whole relationship? You forget all I've been through? All the people who've lied to me, manipulated me, betrayed my trust! I thought you were the one I could believe!" Whisper shouted at her.

"I-I'm sorry." Ryan's face dropped. "This wasn't what I wanted to happen, I kept wanting to tell you everything that I've been working with Batwoman. Kate Kane. I want to fix things between us."

Whisper got into her face starting to get emotional. "Then let's leave, forget Gotham, I got us away out. Come with me, we can leave the country. This is our only chance, don't you understand I want us to escape this life."

"You want to leave, seriously?" Ryan was surprised, she always knew this was a possibility, but never believed it to come to pass.

"I'm dead serious Ryan, we've faced so much danger in this city. So much trauma and crap. Why stick around, in our life people want to hurt me and that could put you into danger too. Out of this country, we can start fresh!" She exclaimed.

Ryan shook her head. "This has always been my home, Gotham. Literally here, the orphanage, it's been my home for a long time."

"Like you said, Mary is safe. That crazy woman is down for. Scarecrow is dead. You did your part. We can leave without any trouble tonight. Build something new and better, legit for us. No more crime." Whisper said, grabbing onto Ryan's hands.

She then reached for her phone, seeing some missed calls and more importantly seeing a recording of Jacob Kane's broadcast. There were accompanying messages saying the situation from both Mary and Luke. "Oh my god."

"What the hell is it now?" Her love replied, pissed off by this.

"It's important, Batwoman's father is setting up a trap that could end up killing her. I have to help her and put an end to that insanity!" Saying that, she started to get ready to fight back against this getting ready to leave again.

Whisper got in the way. "No. You can't seriously do this. Didn't you just listen to what I was saying? We have to leave tonight! I am going tonight. This city is always in chaos, tomorrow something else will come. There will always be a reason for Black Bat to be needed, we need to leave. Waiting any longer could mean life or death!"

"She needs my help. If Batwoman dies, that's Gotham hope, gone. Losing Batwoman would destroy this city, there was hardly anything left in the city it was drowning, dying from all the crime and despair. I owe it to the people and to Kate Kane to try to keep this city from falling apart." Responded Ryan.

"Gotham can burn. What good has this city brought us huh? Made a psychopath who murdered your mother. Turned us into criminals to survive. This place isn't worth saving Ryan!" She shouted back at her.

This really hurt, making Ryan shake her head rapidly. "My mother. My caretaker. Myself, I wouldn't be able to live with it, leaving this city to burn. I am becoming like the woman they wanted me to be and I want to make them proud. I love you, but I can't abandon Gotham, certainly not tonight."

"You owe them nothing. Think of yourself. Think of me! Going to war with the Crows, you might die! If not tonight, then maybe tomorrow. Or the next night!"

"I'll always come home to you. Being with you is my home." Ryan instantly replied.

Whisper shook her head. "Then prove it! Stay. Leave with me. Show me you love me, that we have a future! I won't accept this, hoping every night you come back alive! Gotham isn't worth it! None of these people are! Being a hero isn't worth it!"

Ryan looked at her. "This is who I am. I'm a hero and I have to protect people when they're in danger, I won't back out of this. It would be selfish. It'd be against everything I stand for, those I loved stood for." She started to walk away slowly, feeling her stomach in knots starting to choke up.

"God dammit Ryan!" She shouted and started to burst into tears. "If you love me, then please don't go!"

There was a moment of hesitation that crossed Ryan's mind, but not her body looking back at her love and then walking away going to ride off to help Batwoman having tears slowly dripping down her face.

Batwoman was quickly staking out the area where she was meeting Jacob Kane seeing a lot of Crow activity setting up. Kate was keeping her com off for the time being knowing Luke and Mary would keep trying to talk her out of this.

Before going in she called up Julia. "What's going on with Sophie?"

"I was afraid Luke would tell you."

Kate sighed. "He also told me about the bullets that could kill me and that you tried to keep it from me."

She too gave a sigh of disappointment. "You're dealing with a lot, you don't have to worry about it. Or Sophie. I don't regret keeping it, there is too much going on right now and you need a breather."

"This is serious, how much trouble is she in Julia? Please tell me the truth, I can take it." Kate said, frustrated.

"Might have to disagree considering your own father is working to bring you down hard and you barely survived Safiyah, but fine. She's facing real charges and jail time. Your money can't help her out of this, he's caught her red handed. Only way out is him dropping the charges, which certainly isn't looking as if that's a possibility."

"Julia, we both know she can't go to prison. You gotta break her out and get her somewhere safe! Wayne Tower would work." Kate said seriously.

She paused for a moment. "Okay, okay. I'll figure something out. Can't be too hard breaking her out of Crows HQ right?"

"I would help you if I could." Kate pointed out.

"Yeah, I know. We're both going to need good luck. Keep safe out there alright? I'll kick your behind if you get yourself killed after I dragged you out of Coryana." She remarked with a sarcastic tone.

Kate smiled slightly. "Will do, good luck getting her to safety." With that said and done, she ended her brief search, suspecting there might even be more Crows hiding around waiting to move in. "I really am going to need a miracle right now." Kate said to herself, looking up at the sky.

"How about Backup?" A voice said from behind, it was Ryan who seemed out of breath from racing there.

"What are you doing here? He said to come alone. Don't want to put you at risk if this whole thing goes badly." Kate replied, looking at her concerned.

Ryan shook her head. "No way. This is where I need to be. You're making a big mistake Batwoman if you can't see you need me."

"Yeah." Kate nodded in agreement, not finding herself able to disagree. "Okay, be careful and be ready. This could go really poorly. Or well. Honestly, I can't say how this is going to end Ryan."

"It's alright, whatever happens tonight, I've got your back. I promise!" Ryan said confidently and got ready to move, hiding away for now as Batwoman went across to where Jacob Kane was waiting.

She arrived on the rooftop, spotting him alone showing he was unarmed and willing to speak now.

"Happy you showed up." He simply said.

Batwoman nodded in agreement. "We both have the same desire, to our this conflict one and for all. I want to end it right, no more fighting. We both want to protect Gotham City from the dangers out there. We did that tonight taking down Safiyah and the virus, if we worked together sooner maybe we could've stopped it sooner even!"

Jacob seemed dismissive of this with his body language. "You're breaking the law and are a danger to Gotham. A complete disgrace and you're making even more vigilanties, not to mention high profile criminals coming out of the woodworks to come take a shot at you. It'll only continue to escalate."

"These people existed before me coming to protect the city, Scarecrow was planning on attacking the city for a long time and Safiayh was going to attack somewhere, I'd say we're lucky it was Gotham so we had a chance of preventing it from ending even worse!" Batwoman exclaimed back at him.

He looked annoyed. "How could you be thankful for this happening, maybe you just like the glory of it? Taking down super villains, getting to play the hero! You love it, getting to hear the city sing your praises! Well, no more."

Kate sighed deeply, she was really starting to think about taking off her mask. "Look, I really don't want us to fight anymore. I'll tell you my identity, would it change things?"

"I'd highly doubt that." Kane responded and turned around. Once he did, trouble came along with him. Crows started to come up the side of the building and he pulled out a concealed weapon. "Don't you dare move!"

Batwoman sadly expected this, throwing a tiny batarang into the gun's movement, knocking it out of the way and leaping off the building getting into contact with Black Bat. "It was a trap! We gotta get out of here now!" She grappled to the other building, unfortunately realizing the Crows were waiting around to get her up there too, looking to the ground was no better.

"Batwoman I think the entire force of the Crows are down here! It's like a holiday party out here!" She exclaimed back over coms.

Kate almost swore, but instead looked quickly for an escape route crashing through one of the windows falling into an apartment for a moment of safety.

Someone inside looked greatly bewildered by this.

"Sorry about that. Bill the Crows." Kate said and looked out the window, seeing them mostly rushing into the building. "Black Bat, are our vehicles safe?"

"Yeah, I've got it covered. Thank god for the tracking. I'll keep it watched over until you get here, we need to get away from them." She expressed with concern.

Batwoman sighed. "Easier said than done." She looked up at the building where her father was looking down at her, furious. Seeing that almost gave pause, but she jumped down anyway, gliding down getting past some of the Crows on the ground moving as fast as her legs could as they moved in on foot, shortly after in their vehicles of all types, pretending to be parked cars. From the looks of things, Jacob got even more people just to help keep her from escaping at least. Kate said a little prayer to herself quickly hiding in an alleyway for a minute, repeating it over and over again wanting to have faith she'd make it out of this alive.

With that moment passing along, she moved on rushing out of cover grappling onto the next building she saw. In a risky move, Batwoman retracted it not wanting to get brought onto the rooftops, aiming for the next nearest building hoping she'd not splat onto the ground while doing this. The Crows were hot on her tail watching this.

"She's pulling out new tricks! Be advised she's not going on the roofs!" One of the Crows shouted into the radio.

Batwoman shortly reached the alleyway where the bikes were stashed. "Get driving now! We have to go!"

"Go where? What's the plan?" Black Bat questioned.

She looked at her and looked behind them seeing the Crows coming. "Start driving, we'll figure it out on the way!" They started to drive away zooming off as the Crows were in hot pursuit, their vehicles were increasing in numbers too.

"That's a lot of them, we're going to have to figure out how to fight back, I don't think we can lose them easily, Batwoman!" She said back to her.

"Try not to get boxed in! Or split up!" Batwoman said back to Black Bat.

That seemed easier said than done, as Crows we're taking up a lot of space on the road making it harder to avoid them, while sticking together.

Batwoman looked over her shoulder seeing Black Bat still be herside, but looking as if it was harder for her. "How are you doing?"

"Ah you know, having not much practice driving a motorcycle, even less under pressure, could be worse! They're trying hard to split us up!" Black Bat exclaimed back.

Batwoman looked behind them, seeing the Crows trying to ram them starting to get closer and closer. "Don't let them surround you, in the training drills that's how they were planning to take me down!"

"Guess I'll have to take a page from Batman's play book then in that case!" Black Bat said back to her as they continued driving.

Back in Crows HQ, Julia was sneaking around seeing the security around Sophie was almost nonexistent. She decided on contacting Luke for extra help. "Hey, I need the security camera out, actually, better yet. Could you cut power to the entire building? Even just as long as you can?"

"Have you heard from Kate?" He asked, ignoring her request.

She sighed. "Yes briefly, she's going to confront Kane. In the meantime I really do need some help here getting Sophie to safety."

"Okay, I can do that. You won't have long though. Maybe you should try wearing a mask in case you get spotted? And then could you help Kate? Mary and I are seriously very worried about her." Luke replied, with his voice confirming his feelings.

"Yeah, I am too. I'll do what I can. When can you be ready?"

"Right now, I'm still partially in their systems, it'll take longer for them to completely get me out." Luke explained.

Julia smiled and pulled out a regular old ski mask. "Alright, do it now."

With that, all lights and cameras briefly went out with backup generators only bringing the lights back online. Julia moved in swiftly, dispatching the guard watching Sophie from the outside entering the room, attacking the next guard actively watching over her, then took off her mask for a moment. "We have to leave now, luv!"

Sophie briefly hesitated, with Julia having to grab her arm pulling her out of the room putting back on her mask rushing them out as remaining security was frantically trying to figure out what was happening, they sneaked past them almost making it outside with a problem, instead for one guard spotting them across the hallway. "You there! Stop!" They shouted drawing their weapon, with Julia doing the same shooting in their direction trying to buy them time, not aiming to hit.

"Out the door now!" Julia said to Sophie who now listened rushing outside spotting a car running to it, frantically looking for keys as Julia followed behind seeing this getting in the driver seat starting to hotwire the car. "Good thing I know how to do that." She remarked joyfully, but was almost shot as a bullet came speeding past their heads. "Stay down!" She shouted and started to drive off with Sophie listening, keeping her head down until they exited the parking lot leaving the building behind.

"Oh my god. Did I just break out of jail?"

Julia pulled off her mask putting one hand on Sophie's shoulder. "It's alright, we're going to figure this out. Couldn't let you go to prison."

"You didn't know it'd go that far!" Sophie replied sure it wouldn't have.

She looked right back at her with far less certainty. "I wasn't going to bet your life on it, not with Operation: Nightfall being in effect right now. Kane is out of control."

"We have to help Batwoman!" Exclaimed Sophie, looking concerned about what was currently happening in the city.

Julia shook her head. "Not a chance, yet. I'm going to get you to safety first and get you settled, this is really dangerous. The Crows are roaming the streets and will likely be on our tail soon."

This made Sophie upset, but reluctantly agreed. "Okay, let's get out of here."

As they made their escape, one of the Crows inside immediately contacted commander Kane knowing he'd be pissed about this. "Sir, agent Moore has escaped custody."

"What!" Kane shouted upon hearing that. "Dammit, how did she escape? There were at least two guards watching her!"

"She had help, sir. A woman in a mask couldn't get an identification." Responded the guard unsure.

Kane only needed a moment to jump to a conclusion. "It was Pennyworth, must've been, find her and you'll find Moore. Set an alert on both of them! I want them found and locked up!"

"We don't have concrete evidence to hold agent Pennyworth, sir."

"Then find evidence!" He shouted back. "Get everyone you can on it now who currently isn't after Batwoman! We need all we can get after her."

The Crow understood and went to complete his orders.

Beside Jacob Kane, agent Krauser was beside him hearing this news. "That's very disappointing to hear she managed to get past your men. Should've immediately transferred her to lock up."

"That is dangerous, I wanted to be certain there was no other choice before resourcing to such an extreme." Jacob admitted, seeming reluctant putting Sophie in harm's way.

"A criminal and traitor doesn't deserve special treatment. Let her rot in prison for committing these crimes." Krauser said with a lack of any sympathy.

Kane looked at him, not finding himself being able to disagree at the moment. "You're right." He seemed a bit disgusted by this, but sighed. "She'll face criminal charges once we find her and be treated like anyone else."

Another communication came in. "We're closing in on them. Everyone, be ready! They're boxed in!" A Crow expressed to all units.

Batwoman and Black Bat noticed it was getting harder to stay away from them and it was getting worse. This only increased as the heroes' bikes started to drift apart as Crows got in the way, making them being forced to take different turns.

"Black Bat! Crap. Meet me around Gotham Bridge, we might be able to make an escape around there!" Batwoman exclaimed through the coms.

"Copy that, I'm going to try taking down these jerks on my tail, not sure how much longer I can stay away from them." Replied Black Bat, turning her head back.

They were heading away from each other, Batwoman was closer to the bridge, having to wonder if she was being forced into that direction fearing a trap could be waiting, ditching her bike wasn't a preferred turn of events. She started to think about hiding it away in an alleyway and moving from the rooftops.

She started trying to try more erratically to lose the Crows who were now starting to fall a little back, with one of them accidentally crashing from having too big of a car and not being able to make the same turns as a bike or with so many other vehicles around.

Batwoman tried to disable the other cars coming after her by throwing all the smoke bombs she had in her belt blocking sight in the road taking an unexpected turn temporarily getting away. There was a helicopter in the air too right behind them, meaning it'd be too hard to drive away now, they'd find her.

With some further driving, there was the right location somewhere The Crows would presumably not be searching. She hid the bike, finding some stuff to cover over it and rushed off running away, wanting to stick to the streets for the moment to throw them off. This only worked for about a block, with the helicopter catching on shining down its spot light.

Then Crows followed suit speeding at her, making Batwoman have to start grappling up the rooftops. From above she spotted her father, who was closing in sitting in the flying threat and had the helicopter trying to fire at her, missing fortunately. Now she kept on running trying to get out of there as quickly as humanly possible.

Meanwhile Black Bat was trying to escape her own Crows finding it harder as they were closer on her tail with Ryan not having the same driving skills as Kate when it came to being on a motorcycle. Unknown to her, The Crows were pulling out a dirty trick. One of them was using a hacking device to slowly disable the bike.

It was successful making the bike stop working and crash. "Oh crap!" Black Bat shouted and got flung off it, thankfully for her falling a momentarily out of sight. "Oh great, almost trying to ruin my bike." She muttered to herself getting up and then moved away into the darkness out of sight as The Crows approached on foot.

"Where did she go?" One of them questioned.

One of them looked up. "Could've moved u-" They were interrupted by being pulled up to the rooftop by Black Bat as the others reacted looking up, unable to fire with their man in the way.

"Move up there now!" One of them shouted and they all rushed towards an entrance into the building.

The last Crow was unlucky being behind as Black Bat took this chance leaping down sneaking up behind them grabbing the one in the back, making them react again turning around opening fire, finding nothing besides another Crow knocked out as she rushed back into the shadows.

"Damn, we need reinforcements, right now. This wasn't part of training." Another said, sounding nervous.

One other Crow made the unfortunate mistake of trying to look outside a window, a little away from the group with them too being grabbed being pulled out and taken down before they were fast enough to react.

"We need to get into the open! Stick together!" Another one cried.

This made them start to rush outside again, with Black Bat waiting for them to take the first step outside leaping down and taking down the first man for the doorway, as the others again opened fire. Expecting that she opened up her bullet shield from her bo staff taking some of the shots head on as she looked for cover.

"She's got a shield!" One of them said over the radio, as another car with Crow reinforcements was coming down the road a minute out.

Upon spotting back up and the rest rushing outside, she knew it was now or never with taking down her foes. Black Bat jumped in kicking down of them down to the ground and wacked another with her bo staff switching it back. Then turned around, switching it back to her shield taking a few normal shots rushing towards the shooter knocking them right back with the force of it. "Oh, nice." She remarked surprised by how well it worked out, processing to spot the reinforcements arriving, including agent Proctor. He started opening fire at Ryan, who used her shield again. This time, it ended differently as a kryptonite bullet was involved, managing to hit the shield giving it some serious damage almost hitting her even. "Oh, holy crap." Black Bat remarked and started to run, moving out of the way in a panic now.

"Not good, not at all." Ryan said to herself seeing more of the Crows moving in, knowing she'd have to wait for them to move closer with them now spotting a weakness.

She moved up and started to fight the Crows up close. There was a fight between them, with the Crows trying to gang up on her, which led to bad results getting a few good hits on her while she tried putting up the best fight she could using her staff to keep them at bay. It wasn't easy at all. Even so, she managed to use all the anger inside of her with how things went down with Whisper, channeling it into not backing down or letting the hits taken stop her. Black Bat continued trading blows with them, coming up with a tricky idea. She used her staff making it open into the shield then closed it again giving a knock back to her enemies managing to take them down throwing them back, with only one more standing who she jumped up kicking them back with all her might landing on the ground now exhausted after being squirrely focus on the fight believing not it was over, which was a mistake.

Agent Proctor was pretending to be down behind her, pulling his gun out about to take a shot to Ryan's head without her knowledge. As he was ready to fire about to pull back the trigger help came tackling him to the ground then smacking him with the butt of his own gun.

Ryan turned around surprised to see it was Montoya. "I heard there was something going on with the Crows, what the hell is going on?"

First came a sigh of relief, then concern again. "It's Jacob Kane, he set a trap for Batwoman and he's looking to kill her. Check his gun, it's got Kryptonite bullets and damaged my new shield. It can get through Batwoman's suit. I have to get to her right now!" She exclaimed in a panic rushing over to her bike.

"Good god." Montoya responded, trying to take in what she just heard. "I'll cover you on the way, this obviously isn't over. Where is Batwoman?"

"Gotham Bridge. Somewhere around there." Black Bat replied, getting on her bike.

Montoya immediately radioed in. "I need eyes on Batwoman right now!"

Batwoman was rushing towards the bridge having ditched the bike was an advantage after all, being able to shoot onto it getting up there starting to make a run for it across the bridge knowing now it'd be her best chance to escape the Crows. This was entirely right, as the helicopter with her father was right behind her landing in front of Batwoman with him jumping out. She looked for a way past, but the helicopter was flying really closely down making it hard to see an escape, then she heard the gun of her father click as he aimed at her.

"Don't you dare move a muscle Batwoman. One bullet could kill you. Want to test my marksmanship?" Kane threatened, with his eyes filled with hate.

Kate frowned and looked down. "No, I don't."

"Good. Are you going to surrender then peacefully?" Asked Kane, looking as if he already knew the answer.

"Please, I'm begging you right now, I don't want us to keep fighting." Batwoman pleaded still not looking up.

Kane stared at her. "You've caused me so many problems. My top agent, a woman I used to trust with my life is currently being hunted with an arrest warrant. Agent Sophie Moore, you know exactly who that is right?"

Carefully she nodded.

He grit his teeth. "You made her turn against me. Ever since you came into Gotham City, she's been different. This is your fault. You're doing. Sophie was my second in command and now look at her. What did you do?"

"I can't say what made her decide to help me. She believed in what I've been doing in the city and saw what I did. Crows weren't doing everything they could've been doing. There is corruption within your organization. I mean the murderer of Lucius Fox and countless others was under your nose for years! There has to be others too if he could keep hidden for so long!" Batwoman said back to him furious.

Kane looked away, he still felt guilt about that. "You are a criminal and have done so much damage. That symbol, it's done so damn much to my city! To my life. Your predecessor was responsible for the death of my family, for destroying everything and hurting both of my children! Then you came along, only what? About a year and my second wife was murdered once another bat arrived! The public prescription has been so damaged by you and your partnership with the GCPD. Everything has only gotten increasingly worse! We started to bring order to Gotham and now the city is falling into chaos again! Every single thing that's gone wrong can be traced back right to you people wearing that symbol! It's a bad omen! Batman, Batwoman and your new partner Black Bat. You're all the real cancer to Gotham City! And I'm the cure." Kane said, sounding very much unhinged.

"There has to be some way I can convince you that isn't true. The Joker was responsible for that attack and Alice was responsible for the loss of your second wife. I'm so sorry for everything that's happened to you, but it's not my fault and it's not Batman's fault. And it wasn't yours. It was the fault of murderous psychopaths who have had no care for human life. There was nothing that could've been done and killing me, killing my partner won't change anything! It'll only make you a murderer more like the people you hate! Don't do this, I'm pleading with you to stop. This must end before things get worse! Do the right thing!" Kate pleaded with her father.

He looked at her coldly. "No, there isn't anything that could change this. I'm ending this tonight. Get on your knees and surrender. There is no talking out of this."

"What about my mask? Huh? Let me take it off, I'm sure that'd change things. Listen to me. You know who I am so let me do this. Deep down you must know. Some part of you has to." Kate moved her hands up to take off the mask, with Jacob overreacting, panicking and taking a shot, only a warning for now.

"Don't you move again. I don't care who's behind the mask, nothing will change this, what you are, what that symbol stands for. I have to save Gotham. You're the biggest threat to it!" Jacob shouted at her.

Kate shook her head, trying to hold back her emotions. "Dammit, why can't you see it's me. It's Kate."

This made him start shaking his head rapidly and start to sweat. "You're lying! That's a trick you're not my daughter, I know and love my daughter. I'd know her out of any crowd or behind a mask! No more tricks and lies!" His hand was starting to tremble.

"Okay, I'm going to move my hands slowly, very slowly and take off the mask. You can see for yourself, it's Kate. It's me dad!" She exclaimed, devastated.

As she reached up moving carefully in fear of frightening her father Kate was breathing heavily finding this to be one of the hardest choices she could possibly make. Before the mask could come off, he fired again. This time it wasn't a warning. It was a kill shot. Jacob Kane shot Batwoman in the head, making her fall off the bridge when it hit the head. It was almost like time was slowing down as she slipped over, falling now over the side railing. Jacob rushed over seeing her falling towards the water, it felt like it took forever for the fateful slamming down into the water. He saw this and Batwoman seemed to disappear slowly drifting away into the uncaring seas. Kane slowly stepped back, having the moment replay in his head in disbelief. Conflicting feelings came over him, relief and uncertainty. It was like time wouldn't move forward. And a sickening feeling was growing.

"No!" A voice shouted out, belonging to Black Bat. "Oh my god no!" She shouted again rushing over jumping off the bike. "Do you realize what you have done!?"

There was clapping coming from the otherside of him, with Alice revealing she was hiding watching the show down. "Bravo! Wonderful job! You actually managed to do it at long last! Happy day!" Alice exclaimed happily, giving a little hop for joy.

Jacob looked confused greatly.

"You killed Batwoman! Your own daughter!" Ryan shouted, rushing at him, stopping herself from attacking him in a rageful moment.

"No, no. I don't believe you, that can't be true. I would know! There is no way I'd hurt Kate!" He exclaimed trying to deny what he did and was starting to believe it was true to his horror.

Alice laughed. "You didn't hurt her silly, you just murdered her! Kate Kane is dead and it's all your fault! Couldn't see past your own point of view and look where that's gotten you daddy dearest! You single handedly have made everything end happily ever after! Congrats to you!" She mocked and laughed, starting to walk away.

Jacob finally accepted it and fell to his knees in complete horror.

Black Bat ran away seeing The Crow helicopter looking down at them and more Crows coming along, she got onto her bike. She got onto coms, finding herself unable to speak at first and started to drive.

"Black Bat! Come in! What's going on!" Luke exclaimed, concerned.

"I-I failed." She began saying. "She got shot, I was too late."

Mary rushed over. "What do you mean? What's going on? She's miss speaking right? There is no way that's what we think!"

"Batwoman, Kate. I saw her get shot by the kryptonite bullet, right in the head. It was her father. I was so close to getting there but I wasn't fast enough. I'm so sorry. I think Kate's gone. She fell after being shot, right off the bridge." She finally was able to say with tears coming out.

"Oh my god." Luke responded, trying to stand up. "I failed." He said cryptically and put his head down, kicking over his chair then turned over to Mary who was starting to cry and ran off. "Wait! Mary!" He tried to follow after her but to no avail with her leaving the batcave by the elevator. He felt defeated and sat on the ground wishing he had rushed over to Mary immediately now feeling greatly concerned for her not knowing where on earth she was going.

"This is my fault." Ryan said over coms, making Luke snap out of his grief.

"No, no this isn't on you Ryan. There was nothing you could've done differently. You tried to protect Kate. Don't put this on yourself, get back here as soon as you can alright? We, we can't lose anyone else. I can't." Luke said with genuine sadness taking over his voice.

Ryan stopped her bike for a moment letting the tears come out, taking deep breaths before responding. "I will. I'm sorry, both of you."

"Mary's left, I have no idea where."

She sighed heavily putting her hands together and her head down. "She's going to need us more than ever. I feel so guilty. I don't know what to do. Kate. She got shot and fell over the Gotham Bridge."

"You didn't see her, her body?" Luke asked with a slight bit of hope.

"Luke, she fell off a bridge after being shot. I don't know, god. Maybe I should get back down there, search for Kate!" Ryan exclaimed, not knowing her next move.

He shook his head and stood up. "The Crows are still out there. We have no idea what they're like right now, they could be out for your blood too! Dammit! They are probably swarming the area! You can't go back, you'll die Ryan!"

Frustrated by this she hit the front of her bike. "I can't do nothing! What about Kate's bike? Can you track it? Maybe that could help us?"

"It's been in the sameplace for a while now, The Crows could have trapped it. Just please come back, stay safe! Please!" Luke pleaded, feeling powerless.

"Okay, I'll head back. I just have to check on my girlfriend first. I'll be there soon." She replied, wiping away her tears driving off.

After she hung up Luke stood back up walking to the batcomputer like he wasn't even aware of what he was doing just starting to slam his fists down hard and started to cry a little being completely overwhelmed. He swore at the top of his lungs and started to speak softly. "It didn't work. I'm sorry Kate. I'm so sorry." He kept repeating the last sentence over and over to himself alone in the cave.

Sophie and Julia arrived inside of the safehouse inside of the Wayne building, unaware of what happened to Kate Kane on the bridge.

"This place seems cozy." Julia said, looking around.

There was a heavy sigh with Sophie deciding on sitting down. "Have you heard anything going on out there?"

"Nothing you haven't heard." Julia replied, pouring a drink. "Thank the heavens for knowing a rich person with a great collection of drinks just sitting around." She remarked and picked up the phone seeing it was Luke calling. It was very brief and obvious from her reaction what was said after dropping the phone after hearing the information.

"Julia? What's wrong?" Sophie asked, getting up.

She just started shaking her head muttering to herself, it started to become clear. "We failed, Batwoman, she's gone."

Sophie looked horrified by that and came closer. "What do you mean? What happened to her?"

"It doesn't matter now! We failed! Jacob Kane unknowingly just killed his daughter!" She snapped, not realizing what she said.

"Excuse me? What the hell do you mean his own daughter Julia!" Sophie shouted back at her, feeling completely shocked.

Julia clued into what she said taking a deep breath. "She didn't want me to tell you the truth, Kate is Batwoman. Always has been."

"Oh my god you're freaking kidding me! She lied to me and you were helping all that time, how many people knew about Kate? Batwoman, oh god. I hope she's okay." Sophie still said even with her anger now.

"Luke Fox, Mary. Her new partner. Among other people." Julia replied softly.

She looked furious. "Why am I the last to know!" She shouted at Julia with all the force in her voice. "You've gotta be kidding me! How could you two have kept this from me! This is unbelievable! You didn't tell me or Kate's father! He could've stopped his insane crusade if being told the truth! I just don't understand why none of you said anything!"

"We thought it was for the best." Julia said simply, looking away.

"You were helping all that time, you helped cover for her! Back when I almost figured it out, it was you pretending to be Batwoman! Both of you were intentionally throwing me completely off! She had the audacity to kiss me as Batwoman and then break up with me all over again. If she told me the truth, so much could've changed!" Sophie said, reflecting on the past. "It's why I always felt there was something familiar about her, like I knew her and could trust her. All that trust I feel like it's gone! How could I possibly even trust you keeping such a big secret! Like going to the island, you two were doing a heck of a lot more! And Kate must've known more about Safiyah! It explains Alice's obsession too, I feel so stupid not seeing it!"

"Hey, it wasn't your fault. We did a good job of hiding it." Julia said, not fully grasping how hurt Sophie was.

She started to sob a little. "I want to yell at Kate for lying to me, I want to get mad at everyone including you for keeping it from me! Kate might be dead. She might be gone now and that's the last thing I might ever strongly remember about her!" Sophie shouted crying some more.

Julia tried to reach out to offer comfort, but was brushed away.

"Leave me alone! I don't want to see you right now! Right now I don't know how I can even stand looking at you!" Sophie exclaimed in a great deal of pain.

Listening to this, Julia left, leaving Sophie alone to grieve in silence. Though she couldn't help starting to feel emotional too, from everything that just happened washing over her starting to cry too. Both of them alone now.

Elsewhere, The GCPD were catching up with the recent events where Safiyah Sohail was rioting inside of a jail cell until being sent to her permanent home. Before that could happen, a visitor arrived with a dirty cop letting them into her cell. "Thank you officer, make sure nobody comes along. You understand the consequences." Talia Al Ghul said looking unhappy glaring at Safiyah.

"Are you here to kill me? The great Talia can't even sneak in her has to use a dirty cop to sneak in to finish me?" She asked, acting not afraid.

Talia scoffed. "That'd be a release from your punishment, your humiliation. I quite enjoy seeing you heading to prison. And the cop, that was a form of mockery. You can't bribe these morally apprehensive people, but I can. I have money, where you have none."

"Then why are you here?" Safiyah questioned looking more cocky trying to hide the resentment to that remark.

"Batwoman is dead. Or missing at least. That's what you wanted right? Along with killing Tahani. One of those came true." Talia replied, staring at her.

Looking offended she looked away. "I didn't want Batwoman dead, not really. Did you think it'd make me happy learning that she's missing? How do you know about all that anyways? Keeping watch?"

"You forgot Tahani and didn't listen to my words. She's alive, despite your best efforts dropping a building on her head. My people and I are capable of miracles. The poor lost woman was barely alive, didn't want to pull though ether, can you guess why?" Talia said, stepping forward pulling a knife out.

Safiyah gulped. "Why?"

"Case of a broken heart. Foolish women believed your lies. The broken down take it to heart, believe that someone wants them, could love them. She wasn't a fool, just alone in this world and you exploited that." Talia remarked looking at Safiyah with so much disgust and spit at her.

Safiayh wasn't acting phased by this, it wasn't clear if she even cared.

Regardless, Talia continued. "The manipulation you gave out was wasting away her life and thoughts of you actually loving her. She's strong and will heal past your trauma, she'll love a woman who treats her right and forget about you one day. I believe that. Though, she'll forget. I want you to remember." Talia grabbed Safiyah by the throat sticking the knife to it. "Part of me wants to take vengeance on her behalf, make you never able to speak again. I know it wouldn't be what those who wanted you taken down would want. Like my own beloved, reminds me of us partially." Talia let her go. "I made sure they'd be sending you to the prison where I was being held for a time. It's a horrible, corrupt place. Perfect for you to live out the remainder of your days. After my escape, they increased security." Talia went to leave.

"Wait! That's it? All you wanted to do was mock my defeat? A little peaty, don't you think oh great Al Ghul?" Safiyah replied, pissed off trying to stand up.

"You're more peaty then I am and no. Part of why I'm here to make sure your friends don't kill you. The Many Arms of Death really dislike you. All the partners you made do, after all so much of their money was lost and wasted on your plans that failed. That landed you with nothing." Talia smiled and left, leaving Safiyah to sit with that, continuing to realize there was no way out of her situation. That the cruelty and lack of care for anyone over all the years had truly left her with nothing in the end.

Ryan Wilder had returned home hoping to find Whisper, she desperately wanted to fix things between them. Upon opening the doors, there was a sense of emptiness inside of the old orphanage. Loneliness. She could feel it and rushed around everyone looking for her great love, with no luck in sight. The only thing Ryan could find was a letter next to a drawing of the two of them, out in some romantic place they dreamed of going to visit one day. It was one of the first and most important gifts she made for her. It was like a symbol of their love.

Picking up the letter, Ryan gulped afraid, opening it up only further proved it.

It said the following. Dear Ryan, I thought we'd have a future together, I thought I could trust you and that you'd be there for me. I was wrong. You're like everyone else. I was stupid to believe otherwise. You betrayed my trust. You made me reminded that I can't trust people that it'd only make me hurt again. I hope you get why I'm gone and never coming back. This is over and I now have left Gotham City. What we had is dead and buried now. This goodbye. I despise you for all you for what you did and made me feel like things could be different. Trust is a mistake. I'll never get why you rather die for a city that doesn't care one bit about you and that's given you nothing. Care for a hero who you don't even know over me. You disgust me. So go on, die for nothing I don't care anymore.

Signed, someone who didn't matter enough.

Upon finishing, Ryan fell to the ground completely shattered. It felt like her heart was just ripped out and stomped on. She started to cry not knowing what to do next.

Later into the horrible night, Jacob Kane returned back to the Kane penthouse, where only he and Mary lived now, finding her waiting for him.

"Where were you huh?" Mary immediately said angered.

He frowned, finding it hard to speak. "On a rescue mission, I made a horrible mistake. One I can't fix. I have bad news to tell you and I don't know how to say it."

"You killed Batwoman! Who happens to be Kate, our last remaining family member who I thought we both loved a lot! Or did you forget!?" You killed her! You have completely destroyed everything!" Mary shouted at him at the top of her lungs with her face turning completely red.

Jacob looked shocked hearing that. "You knew about Kate? Why didn't either of you tell me! How long did you know?"

"Oh! What does it matter now!? You killed her! She's dead and it's your fault! This ridiculous vendetta you had against Batwoman has led to her death! Not only that you have completely snuffed out Gotham's greatest hero and hope on top of everything else you've done! If you just actually thought about it then maybe you could've actually not just shattered everything in one stupid gunshot!" Mary shouted at him furiously stomping her foot down.

Kane shook his head and looked away. "I was trying to protect Gotham from what I thought was a threat! Had I been told it was Kate, I would've absolutely stopped everything I was doing! This shouldn't have been kept a secret! Had I known, I wouldn't ever, never-" He stopped himself from continuing mordiford.

"You're horrible at protecting Gotham and even worse when it comes to people dressed like bats! It's like you are completely blinded, couldn't see Kate, couldn't even see who Batman was, I mean what you thought that fake one killing people was Batman didn't you? Why can't you look past your biased feelings and see the reality of how things are!?" She stopped for a moment before continuing. "All this time you've hated Batman it's all been because of what happened on the bridge with you losing your family! You seemed to believe that he just didn't have a single care in the world about letting his own family die that day! He failed and must've been eaten up by guilt! How you couldn't see it is beyond me! For some reason you just couldn't take a look past everything you felt and look where it's gotten us!" Mary exclaimed at the top of her lungs, not even realizing what she was implying.

He understood what it implied about Batman's identity, that everything else Mary had said left him speechless, he didn't know what to say.

"What? Nothing to say!?" Mary shouted, waving at his face. "You're acting like a complete coward, you know that? Screw you for what you did! I'm done! I am cutting ties completely with you! My entire family is all gone thanks to you! We are not a family and I am no longer your step daughter! You killed my sister!" Mary finished saying leaving and slamming the door behind her making a photo of the two of them fall to the ground breaking.

Jacob Kane just stood there motionless for a moment. Then he exploded with anger taking over him and started to break things throughout the entire penthouse completely out of control, not able to think clearly anymore.

Elsewhere, Vesper Fairchild was giving out a special broadcast to Gotham City just learning about the news about Batwoman's fate.

"Gotham, we have now officially just survived a near zombie like apocalyptic event, the woman responsible for this attack is in lockup. Details are yet to come out more about her, but she's certainly one wicked woman. I bet not many of us had such an event she caused on our yearly bingo card. Nor, other tragic breaking news that has only been confirmed. Batwoman, the hero who saved our city from near devastation was shot and apparently killed by the head of The Crows, Jacob Kane. This is a shattering day for our city. For all of us. After trying so hard to keep us all safe. This is the end result. It's unbelievable. A truly appalling day when those meant to protect us replay our hero, by ending her life." She paused, sighing heavily. "I hope for all of our sakes, her legacy will be carried on. Batwoman and before her Batman, proved our city needs a bat to protect us when others fail us. So let us all have a moment of silence for our fallen hero." Fairchild finished off saying.

Elsewhere, some of those close to Kate were continuing to grief.

Luke Fox was sitting in the Batcave replaying the moment of his failure over and over again in his head.

Ryan Wilder sat in the orphanage thinking about all that she's lost over the years. Her mother, caretaker at the place run down she sat in. Now Kate Kane and Whisper were gone from her life, on the same day no less. It was absolutely shattering to feel the weight that was now placed on her, all she could do was hope Kate would return, until then Gotham would need a protector. Somehow, she'd have to bring herself to keep fighting and take the role of the city's savior. It was all uncertain.

Sophie Moore was sitting inside of her new temporary home, everything she thought was just completely flipped upside down. On top of that she was a fugitive from the law too, having to keep away from the outside or being spotted. Worst of all, Kate was presumed dead and she couldn't even help in the search for her. She was left completely powerless and couldn't even confide in Julia.

Mary Hamilton just was walking the streets of Gotham, not even sure of what to do next, feeling completely alone in the world with seemingly her entire family now gone. Even her clinic was in danger.

The path forward wasn't clear for anyone now.

Jacob Kane drove out to the docks, exiting his vehicle walking forward getting a view of the Gotham bridge where he had shot Kate, hours ago now. He began having tears bottle up and start to burst out. Now all he could do was thinking over all the events that transpired, replaying what he did over and over to himself.

Along with thinking of the past, he thought about when Kate first returned to Gotham. Their past conflict, with her wanting to join the Crows. It was a wonder if things would've been different had he let her join. Maybe this outcome wouldn't have happened. Maybe if Jacob had listened to her words from all the times she tried to speak to him, had actually paid closer attention to his daughter instead of going on with his dangerous obsession. Had realized why Kate decided on becoming so interested in his operation, to see the fear on her face that now only came into his head, far too late. It now only destroyed his family.

All he could think of now was the past, hearing those close to him echoing inside of his head. Jacob couldn't handle it, almost felt like he could hear Gabi and Kate now yelling at him for failing them both. For killing his daughter.

The further revelation he learned about Bruce was even more a twist to his for so long set in stone perspective. For all those years, he could imagine either one of his family members being behind the mask. He felt guilty for blaming Batman, Bruce, the man deeply cared for all of them and it was clear now how much guilt he felt too. Jacob was only making matters worse, it was all he did from how it looked now.

Jacob Kane's hands were shaking as he reached into his coat grabbing a gun staring down at it. Hands continued to shake. A horrible thought had crossed his mind. He kept thinking how he accomplished nothing good for the city or more importantly for him, for his family. There were no good choices he ended up making, so he decided on finally making one that would in his mind anyways fix things, thinking of pointing the gun towards himself now.

Part of him knew very well Kate and Gabi, his sister Martha, even his second wife wouldn't want him to do this to himself. Neither would his religion, he thought about seeking out help, only briefly. There were millions of reasons to lower the gun and try his best to fix things, but he was completely consumed by his grief. With shaking hands, he raised the gun toward himself, closing his eyes.

A sickening echo could be heard from the gun, as a full moon was out and stars out above the world. The sun would be coming up soon, the first day of a city seemingly forever changed.

Only one evil soul was celebrating that night and it was Alice. She arrived back to her base of operations in high spirits having a party for finally bringing down her sister in the most cruel way and best of all without even lifting a finger. Thanks to her internal inactions, she has assured the destruction of her family.

"Batwoman is dead at last!" She exclaimed happily, getting cheers from the entirety of her gang. "Gotham is going to be ours, nobody is going to stand in our way! Be prepared! Soon, we will take the city! Start getting prepared, there is much planning and organizing to be had!"

All of her gang was quite pleased by this cheering along.

Alice smiled to herself walking away temporarily to a private area, having an odd feeling coming over her. "I've completely seen the destruction of my family! It's a great day, they've finally paid the price! My father will never recover, oh better yet, this will lead to the end of him! The Crows will be ruined too without him to lead them! Hmm, then I should pay a visit to Mary, reunite her with Catherine! In due time, not a need to rush it. No Kate to protect her anymore, nobody! Ah yes, then the sidekick. Easy to kill! Yes, everything is coming along nicely now! I have no family left, my sister is dead! And my father will be joining her!" She said happily, but looked in a mirror with her face being in disagreement. A tear slowly falling down, with more starting to leak out.

Alice stared at herself bewildered. "What? No! This is wrong!" She shouted. "I should be happy! This is all I ever wanted! I shouldn't be crying, I shouldn't be upset!" Saying that to herself, she grabbed her head in excruciating pain. Alice continued to cry, finding it overwhelming and worse, memories of being Beth when she was far younger was coming back to her. Only increasing this frustration, she had an outburst and threw an object at the mirror having enough cracking it into multiple pieces. After doing it and staring at herself, she began to slow her breathing, calming down looking at the mirror touching it. The look on her face wasn't right at all, she was broken and crying uncontrollably now. It wasn't Alice anymore.

"Kate..." Was the first word out of her mouth falling to the ground in grief. "Dad. No, no! It's not too late, it can't be!" She exclaimed in a panic recalling the events that happened, but it was all mixed up. "Alice, no. What did she? What have I done?"

A search party was out looking everywhere for Batwoman, with boats and divers starting their search, there was a lot of ground to cover. It wasn't a great shot of her being discovered.

However, Kate Kane washed ashore. Her condition was unknown. Regardless, a woman shortly found Batwoman, checking her and then took the heroine away, to an unknown fate.

Batwoman

I can't believe the season is finally over after so long, thank you to everyone who's stuck around. I hope you all enjoyed if you got to this point. I hope that season 3 will live up to or better yet improve on this season. Thank you.

In Response to C.G

Thank you I'm glad I was able to as well. Happy to hear that too that you thought so, hopefully the end of the season lived up to expectations they were certainly really high for everything being set up for this. Sure took me a long time. Also hope it wasn't too cruel or depressing. I'm not very happy, so it was easier to write about tragic moments I found and also a lot harder if that even makes sense.

I apologize too if the response section isn't too long/detailed. As you saw with the story I definitely got double the normal chapter size. And I have to admit, I kinda just wanted to finish and post by the end when I finally got to the response section. I always apprentice those response sections, after all none of this series would exist without you and this part.

For the next two topics, I understand them both.

In regards to Supergirl

#1 Alright I'll try my best to find a way to properly address Supercorp. I know how much it meant to a majority of the fan base.

#2 That all makes sense. I'll be sure to go forward with that, thank you for thinking of something for them.

#3. That's pretty much what I thought too.

#4. I like the sound of that going on and it'd be a good way to address the consequences still being felt by his death.

#5. Yeah I'll certainly do that, I truthly didn't have too much anyhow and alright I will be doing that for sure, it seems unlikely that'll happen so I think it'll be safe to assume that it won't be a problem.

#6. I think that'd be a great idea, I'd love to incorporate that and think about if she does become a Worldkiller at some point that could be really interesting I think.

#7. That sounds all very interesting. I wonder how all that would turn out in the end with that conflict between them.

#8. Sounds great with having mixed reactions from all the living Kryptonians and I loved that Kara would go to Kate Kane for advice on everything going on, with their talk being really important with her having the decision to learn the truth about Rao.

#9. I can see that and sounds like a good threat having a character like that around to cause trouble.

#10. I can see why Alex would be even more angry about learning about that.

#11. That's understandable she'd have a similar fate after experiencing all that going on, at least she'd live through it and I like she'd know Cyborg Supergirl isn't their Kara after not much time passing knowing her well.

#12. I almost forgot about that character, good job on remembering them. That'd be a good idea having that happen at some point in the series.

#13. That'd be a great inclusion to have that be there and really do end up becoming a good person.

In closing, I can't say that starting 2023 the state of that series going to happen or not. I obviously still want to give it a shot. I guess we'll just see how the year progresses. So far, not going great I have to say. I think the most likely outcome is, finishing that Spider-Gwen story suggestion you gave, finishing that Spider-Man story (or shelving it again as I did during 2020 and 2021) and that'd probably make it a lot more likely I'd be ready to start it hopefully this year. Again I could do Supergirl first, my brain is a little weird with what I feel like doing from time to time.

Future season storyline - I don't have nearly as much to say as you do, but I loved the sound of this potential storyline and hope I'd be able to do it someday. I might change my mind when actually getting there one day, but right now I have to say it probably couldn't take up a whole season, so likely a half season storyline? I'm not sure that'd be pretty far in the future so once we get there I'm sure we'll figure it all out and you'll have more exciting details about it. Thank you for the suggestion.

Your version of the situation with the Cushing family - I like that change, it definitely gives more of an impact I think and I like the details you've given here for the character and relationship.

Mitch Anderson - That'd make sense in this version he'd remain that way. I did like Superman showing him compassion in the canon show before he ended up dying. I like that you'd change the "Supermen of America" not dying this time around. I have to say I thought it was weird they died in the show and nothing really came from that. A cool end to have him be trapped in a time loop and being trapped in the mines. Finally I like it a lot that Andersen would make things much worse by bringing in the villain for season 3 making everything worse off by being a bad guy.

Wraith - That's a cool idea having a villain who once worked alongside the JSA in the past. Yeah that would make a lot of sense with COIE and like you said that there must've been other members around too, that would've been interesting seeing Alan Scott appear on Legends. I love everything about what you said with the past and Dr. Fate being responsible for locking Wraith away and that presumably Jay would meet Superman.

Supergirl: Another Season Idea - That sounds like a pretty good potential future season idea. I like the ideas you gave there and it'd definitely be a good season.

For my version of Season 3, Brian Krauser's plan -

Phase I: All that sounds amazing and like how I though it would go. For that phase my only question is it literally for "surviving" after failing the tests for Krauser? Would he be having the loyal to Kane Crows killed off in some way?

Phase II: Again all that sounds as I expected it to go along, thank you for putting it all into phases by the way, it's helpful and a good idea in story/universe wise. It all sounds great for that phase too with the story progression.

Phase III: I like the sound of that phase as well getting everything ready for the final part of the plans.

Phase IV: That makes sense that it'd be a combination of sorts of those two things sounds good. And great that Harper Row would come back during the ending of the season to help Team Batwoman win the day.

Tyler - That sounds good he'd return once hearing the news about the death of Sophie's mother and good job on finding those other details about him. I like that he'd offer his condolences and try to be there for Sophie after learning about how things ended for things with her mother. That'd make sense it's not affect all the branches of the Crows outside of the city and that the other branches would take precaution against what Krauser is doing.

Failsafe - That makes sense it'd still going with what you previously said. It definitely has seemed that way with how dangerous Failsafe is throughout that entire storyline basically being almost unstoppable. I can see this universe's Bruce also having Zur-En-Arrh like you said and that he'd be pushed into using it during the final battle with the joker and how he'd end up snapping back to himself.

For Joker's name, I think it'd be fine going with Jack Napier, but I appreciate you mentioning this, thank you.

Court of Owls - Yeah I'd still very much like to have a future season using those villains and amnesiac Dick Grayson. It was a pretty shocking twist to here about, I can't say I have watched the cutscenes for the game yet but yeah that is a unique twist to have that end up happening. I would be happy to go with making Phillip Kane be the Voice of the Court. It'd be pretty good and interesting to add to that season. Along with making the fight even more personal.

Here's some ideas for your version of Phillip Kane:

#1. That makes sense he'd be considered a "black sheep" amongst them for doing something bad. All that makes sense too with how his siblings would feel.

#2. I understand why he'd decide on not showing up, that makes sense with his relationship to the rest of the family.

#3. I can see why you decided on making that change.

#4. Yeah that makes sense his reputation would be severely damaged after helping them after being blackmailed and that he'd meet the Court of Owls during this time away from the spotlight.

#5. That makes sense he'd learn it and keep it to himself for those reasons. And be expressing those opinions.

#6. I can see why it'd be such a deeply affecting revelation for the two. And that is a good ending to that conflict having Jacob be the one to arrest him.

#7. I understand the reasoning behind your two choices. I unfortunately have no input to help but I'm sure you'll make a great final choice when the time comes.

Hey Author,

Two things that I wanted to let know about:

#1. That makes sense and I guessed as much Kate would be Red Death (yeah it would be that season)

#2. Alrighty then I will go with the name Jada.

I will assume someone like that or even that person would be "portraying" this character, feel free to give any suggestions if you think of anything. Yes I remember thank you that she'll be a member of the team and be an important part of Mary's character development. That sounds like a reasonable thing to go with.

In regards to one of the Supergirl series season idea proposals; specifically in regards to Esme's storyline…

That makes sense going with an imp and the son of Mister Mxyzptik for that season trying to manipulate her and events. I like that a lot. It'd be like an evil version of "Peter Pan and Wendy" . It's an interesting way of putting it, along with the time traveler being completely unaware of the real villain behind that. Finally, I like that Mxyzplk wouldn't know about what his son is doing but would be upset along with everyone else.

The Jace Fox revelation - I did and I was pretty surprised by where that went. I'm not sure how to feel about it being canon to the comics, but I'm fine with it being a part of that with the show. I don't know if Jace's siblings should be aware of that, I feel like Luke would have his view of his father a bit ruined by that revelation. I'm not completely sure, but I'd like to hear your thoughts.

In closing, it feels nice to have finally wrapped up the season after 2 very long years of trying to write. It feels crazy thinking this series only exists due to your input on that failed series it's been great having to get to write this and have the response sections, it was quite a bad time in my life (unknowingly at the time) so I'd like to think having this to take up my time has certainly helped a lot for my mental health. (and frankly it still is helping severely) I'd truthly hate to think how I'd even been doing not having this around and being able to engage back and forth this way.

I can say with complete honesty this series and responding to you obviously has proven to be a major motivator for just getting up from bed and wanting to do stuff.

Feel free to give a roundup for season 3 if you want to, I'd really appreciate one for the premiere to get started. I have to say too, I am feeling anxious thinking of finally moving onto the third season but I'm sure it'll be fine once I actually get started.

Also for where Armagation will fit into the episode count. I forgot, but I'll likely remember as with season 2 I'm going to compile all the season 3 related postings together in preparation for starting.
