Work With Me.

Itachi let out a groan as he slowly lowered himself to the couch, Izumi stood in front of him holding his bag of medications and supplies from the hospital. Soon after his father left for the mission, Itachi pleaded and soon argued with the doctor and nurses until they agreed to let him go home. But with Izumi adamantly agreeing he would not participate in any ninja activities for the next two weeks and would come back every week.

"Izumi, I promise I'm good now," Itachi eyed Izumi with pink cheeks. "I won't do anything-"
"I already plan to tell your mom so she'll-"
"Itachi-nii!" Sasuke's voice cheered from the hallway as he raced in, Izumi quickly shot between them.

"Sasuke, don't jump on him! He's got a broken rib, burns on his side, you have to let him rest." Izumi warned, the boy puffed his cheeks in a pout before he moved around her and plopped down on the couch next to him.

"I'm so glad you're home, it's been a boring week! Shisui is on a mission, Naru is …. missing and you've been in the hospital!" He whined, Itachi's breath hitched at Naru's name before glancing at Izumi who put his things down and sat across from him.

Fugaku stepped inside with a heavy sigh and nearly slammed the door shut, his face set in a troubled look. "Father!" Itachi nearly barked and sprung from the couch and raced to his father's side ignoring the pulsing from his wounds. "Where's Naru! How is she?!" He questioned, Mikoto stepped in the room at Itachi's questions, he looked at the intent eyes on him and sighed.

"Sasuke, go to your room and do not eavesdrop, now." He ordered, the boy began to protest before a stern look made him click his teeth together, knowing not to test his father's temper. He stood and quickly shuffled back to his room and shut the door.

"Father." Itachi questioned again.

"Sigh Akane attacked Naru that night, attempting to kill her," Mikoto covered her mouth, a horrified look on her face. "Naru lost control due to… everything, somehow her chakra reacted to the situation, it killed Akane in front of Naru, and presumably exploding tags blew the building, but anbu are still searching." Fugaku shifted from foot to foot. "Naru was badly wounded, before Akane died she told Naru everything, the truth of her parents, Kyuubi, everything and it fully tipped Naru over the edge, she lost control." Itachi's face went pale, he shook in place, hearing Mikoto let out a whispered comment.

"So, where is she?" Izumi asked first.

"Prison."

"What?! The Hokage is punishing Naru for defending herself?" Itachi asked, his blood starting to boil at the thought.

"No, but Naru actively voiced she would be abandoning the village. He told her to calm herself, she continued, possibly went in for an attack, I put her under a genjutsu again, Hiruzen ordered until she is ready to stay in the village, she will remain there."

"I'll go talk to her! She'll come to reason if I can visit and talk-"
"Itachi, I love her like a daughter, but she could have killed you." Mikoto whispered.

"I don't care! I'm not letting her rot in prison!" Itachi protested. "You didn't see it, she pulled back when she saw me! She'll listen to me!"

"Itachi-"
"No, I'm not letting her stay in prison!" He growled, shoving past his father and painfully yanked his shoes on his feet. "I'll talk to him, I won't abandon her."

"Itachi-"

"Just go home Izumi!" He warned, she shook in mild fear at his sharingan that glinted dangerously.

-o0o-

"Itachi, I understand-"
"No! Hokage-sama with all due respect you're putting a child in prison, not an adult, not a teenager, a child!" Itachi interrupted.

"It's until she will change her statement on leaving, would you rather have her in prison safe or being a rogue and you as an anbu member hunt her down and kill her?" Itachi flinched at that statement then let out a breath, his shoulders falling in defeat. "I hate this Itachi, I do. But I have to keep my village and her in mind."

"Hokage-sama, she's confused! And she's hurt, she won't change her mind staying in the dark prison for Kami knows how long!" He protested. "Let me talk to her."
"Itachi, I said no."
"But-"
"No." Hiruzen cut him off. "While it is a harsh punishment, it's just that, a punishment. You can't go running and cuddling her everytime she is scolded or she'll always be a child who causes more hurt as she goes."

"So, she's just going to stay down there until you deem her ready?"
"Not exactly," Hiruzen rubbed his temples. "I've been in meetings since putting her in there, the council are furious I hid the truth of her existence, they believed I should have told them and not kept Naru's identity a secret."

"So they could use her."
Hiruzen paused, refusing to answer the all too truthful sentence. "I have only loyal anbu who will keep her safe and away from any dangers. She has to serve time, it's the only solution they agreed to, and hopefully by the time she changes and has been released it will calm the waves and she'll be safe to walk among the villagers."

"Keep her in the Uchiha clan's guard! We've kept her safe and -"
"And I need to work with the clan further before anything like that can be put into place."

"You- I… Hokage-sama, please-"
"No, Itachi." Hiruzen shuffled some papers all while trying not to surrender to the young boy before him. "I have to fix the inner workings before I can address Naru. Now please go, rest up and continue your plan to bring peace."

Itachi grit his teeth before whirling around on his heel and storming out of the office.

-o0o-

Naru groaned as she came to once more, finding herself laying on a bed with a blanket thrown over her.

"Where am I?" She slurred pushing up slowly and flinched at the sting of pain on her skin.

"Naru-chan." She looked up and found a brown haired anbu with a squirrel mask standing in the doorway.

"Who are you?" She growled.

He reached up undoing the porcelain mask ties and removed it, giving the girl a gentle smile. "My name is Tenzo, I am one of the Hokage's trusted anbu. I am newly a part of team Ro." Naru eyed him closely at the mention of Itachi's anbu team, led by Inu or Kakashi as she also knew. "You have been sentenced to jail time for your comment of abandoning the village." Her lip quivered and tears pricked. "Hiruzen said he'll release you once you've changed your opinion of abandonment and if you wish to meet let us-"
"You can tell him to fuck off!" She growled, she gripped the bedding and a tremor racked through her body. "I hate him! I hate Konoha!" She screamed.

"Myself and a select few will oversee your care and to your needs. You are free to move about the cell which has been fitted with things and if you want something feel free to request it. Medics will come once a day to see to your wounds."

'Once you go I'm out of here' Naru thought glaring at him.

"And any thoughts of escape with chakra will not work." Tenzo commented, almost reading her mind. "Four levels of fuinjutsu have been placed on your body to ensure your chakra will not react or help. You can be considered as a civilian and-"
"AHHHHH!" Naru screamed, throwing herself back down on the bed, screaming into her pillow and punching the bed repeatedly until she stopped heaving for air.

'I hate you so much.'

-o0o-

Itachi huffed for air, his rib protesting at the movement and his blistered skin seeping once again. After storming out of the Hokage's office he took to the private Naka river training grounds, only utilized by Uchiha members. He lost count of the amount of punches he delivered to the trees, the charred grass around from his fire jutsu, he moved for hours and hours until he fell to his knees, the dark of the night surrounding him.

"Dammit, dammit!" He cursed, tears slipping to the grass below. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." He sniffled.

"Itachi." He gasped whirling around to find a figure in the treeline.

"Shi… Shisui? Is that you?" He squinted before the figure stumbled forward revealing Shisui to his friend. "I didn't know you were b-" Itachi stopped seeing his friend's state. Bruises stained his light color skin, blood ran from his mouth and nose, his right eye closed, he held his ribs and heavy pants emitted from him signaling he truly was having a difficult time breathing. "Shisui!" Itachi raced forward as Shisui began to tip forward but landed in his friend's arms.

"What happened? What?" Itachi stuttered, he looked left and right before pulling the older boy along to the trickling creek. He ripped his sleeve before dipping it in the cool water and rushed back to his wounded friend. "Here." He offered before gently dabbing the material on the bruises along his face. "Shisui, did this happen on the mission? Where are the others-"
"My mission was sabotaged…" He grunted out. "We were told to go after a small team of threats, by time we arrived - ahh- there were way more than originally expected. Skilled, they separated us and I found myself surrounded."

"Shisui, I've watched you take down 20 ninja alone, there's no way-"

"Guess I should alter my story then huh?" He chuckled, giving a wince.

"Stop talking, let's get you to the hospital." Itachi reached to hoist his friend up.

"No. no, Itachi I… I can't go to the hospital, and I don't have much time."
"Much time for what? Medics can heal these wounds-"
"Not this." He muttered lifting his hand revealing a purple stab wound that was oozing green and black liquid. Itachi stuttered, gingerly touching the wound before retracting. "Listen to me, carefully." Shisui groaned, grabbing Itachi's shirt. "I wasn't lying about more around us, my team was knocked out instantly and I was surrounded but it wasn't by enemies, or at least enemies I expected." Itachi shook his head confused. "I was surrounded by Root ninja."
"Konoha's Root ninja? Why were they there? Why did they-"
"Danzo." Shisui shifted in his spot. "He was there, ordered them to attack, I was doing fine until I got this little beauty."

"Why is Danzo-"
"He's out for our heads. We're screwing up his plans to rule the village. He wants to take Hiruzen down, take his seat. With our work, he can't sew his own toxicity." Shisui descended into coughs that stained his hand with blood. "He took my eye." Itachi felt his blood run cold, eyeing the eyelid that was bruised and sunk in.

"Why?"
"My genjutsu is the most powerful, with it he can brainwash anyone he wants. I managed - I think to damage it once was out of my head."

"I can get you to the hospital and I will protect you!"

"Worry about Naru." Itachi stiffened at her name. "Danzo named her, named she would be key to his plans, I need you to stay by Hiruzen and Naru's side, protect them both from him."
"Again, let's get you to the hospital and you can tell Hiruzen-"
"No, Itachi, you can do more than I could. You'll be the bridge to peace. And a bridge needs support beams, and I'll be that, but not by your side." Shisui reached up, gripping his remaining eye and yanking it from his head.

Itachi's stomach churned at the sight and shook as Shisui held the eye out to him.

"Naru and you will be the bridge-"
"She's in prison." Shisui cocked his head. "Akane tried to kill her, she lost control, rampaged and she's locked in prison because she wants to abandon the village."
"You'll set her straight, I know you can." He smiled. "Help me up." Itachi helped his friend to his feet then stuttered as he held his eye and watched Shisui stumble to the edge of the ravine. "I entrust you to the future. Save the clan, save Naru and save the village."
"What about you?"

"The Edo Tensei exists, and I don't trust Danzo to not use it on me. So, I will destroy every trace of my body, except my eye that you will keep safe." Shisui fixed a smile on his face. "Get that look off your face, it doesn't suit you. My team will return with a genjutsu that I was killed on the mission and unable to have my body returned and you will keep to that story. You'll play the parts needed and keep a great burden on your shoulders from now on. If the clan learns of this situation it will cause a true revolt." Itachi sniffled before he began to cry. "Promise me." Itachi let out an audible sob and nodded his head.

"P… promise." He whispered.

"Good, I'm sorry." He whispered before tipping backwards, Itachi gasped scrambling forward watching his friend burn into nothing before he hit the banks below.

"GAAAAAHHHHH!" Itachi screamed repeatedly punching the ground over and over until his hands bled.

-o0o-

A week later Itachi found himself standing in the Hokage's office, Shisui's teammates stood at attention despite their ragged appearance, his father and Shisui's aunt who had raised the boy from when his parents were killed in the Third war.

As Hiruzen delivered the news he reflexively grabbed the woman who fell to her knees releasing a heartbroken scream and dissolved into sobs into the boy's chest.

"I'm so sorry for your loss, please accept my condolences, Shisui was an amazing ninja." Hiruzen replied quietly. "We'll hold a ceremony worthy of the hero." Itachi's jaw clenched before he erased his emotions once more.

"Team, please escort her home and receive medical treatment," Hiruzen dismissed them once her screams died off and she leaned in Itachi's arms numbly.

"We should send a team to recover his body, with everything Shisui knew about, they could perform a mind search on him." Fugaku spoke up when they left the office.

"Shisui had a seal placed on his head, with his final breath it would erase everything, much like the Hyuuga branch does. He said it would blind him as well." Itachi informed, he knew it was a lie, but since his friend was literally nothing but an eye in his possession, he knew it could be fabricated and believed. "They can search his corpse all they want, they won't find anything."

"Itachi are you - I mean if you need time-" Hiruzen began.
"I'm fine, it's a part of the ninja life. Shisui died doing his mission." Itachi stared out the window ignoring the looks his leader and father gave him.

"Well, Fugaku, per our agreement I planned to come by tonight to speak with the clan, but we can postpone."

"No, tonight will be fine, we have a private location where we can speak." Hiruzen nodded.

"I look forward to it."

Itachi heaved a heavy sigh as he arrived home from his position, he yanked his shoes off then let out a grunt as Sasuke nearly jumped on his back and wrapped his arms around him.

"Can we go train Nii-san?"
"No, Sasuke, maybe another time." Itachi poked the eight year old's forehead effectively pushing him off and earning a dark look.

"Itachi.." He looked up and found Izumi standing outside with a smile, she held up a basket. "Picnic at sunset?" He smiled gently and replaced his shoes.
"AWWWWWW!" Sasuke whined.

"Ask father to train you." Itachi waved as he smiled gently following Izumi to the small pond they frequented at a younger age.

Izumi beamed at him as she produced dango from the basket, Itachi smiled, taking one before his shoulders dropped as he looked at the treat that used to make his mouth water, but now it only made his stomach churn. 'Naru, Shisui, who's next? Fuck this is too much.'

"Itachi." He looked up as Izumi brushed his bangs back and smiled gently. "I'm so sorry, I know you're going through a hard time, I just thought maybe … maybe we could escape from this and… and I dunno, be happy even for a few minutes-" She was cut off by Itachi pressing his lips on hers, she let out a small giggle melting into the kiss.

"Sorry, I just… you… I mean." Itachi fumbled his words once he pulled back, his cheeks pink. "Izumi I can't thank you enough, you've been there through thick and thin and you always think of me and, well I just.. I am happy with you."
"I miss your smile Itachi, you haven't been the same, I mean nothing is the same, but I don't want to see you lose your smile. And I want you to be okay."

"I'm not okay Izumi, but if you stay with me I might." He took her hand giving a genuine smile. "I promise."

-o0o-

Fugaku led Hiruzen to the private clan meeting room under the building, the elder eyed the stone tablet before giving a small headshake. He nodded his head at the clan members who eyed him curiously, the tension in the room being palpable.

"I know you have questions, and we'll address them once everyone arrives." Fugaku addressed. His eyes scanned before landing on Itachi who leaned against the side wall next to Izumi who previously had not been permitted down here due to not being of pure Uchiha blood. Her father marrying an outsider was not too widely accepted and the family chose to reside outside the Uchiha compound. But since Itachi took a liking to her, she spent more time within the clan walls, Fugaku didn't doubt the girl was invited by his son tonight.

"Thank you for staying, I have been working with Fugaku, Itachi and the late Shisui to restore a positive bridge between the village and the clan." Hiruzen addressed. "The purpose of tonight is for you to air your complaints and issues with me and hopefully we can come to a solution, are you willing?" They murmured before agreeing to the elder.

"First and foremost, he is aware of our coup, and is going to overlook it, so long as we work together." Fugaku announced which instantly sent most on guard.

Itachi sighed silently as the clan members took their turns complaining to the Hokage about the injustice the clan has endured, questioning him on his motives, why he would brush off an uprising so easily. Izumi squeezed his hand making him smile gently and return it.

'Naru's next, no ifs or buts, I'm getting her next.'

"I respect your wishes and I am willing to see what I can do," Hiruzen called drawing Itachi from his thoughts. "But I feel one that could do a lot is something that has been denied since the beginning of the village." Hiruzen paused. "An Uchiha as Hokage." They began to talk loudly before Fugaku cleared his throat, silencing them. "Which is why Itachi will be the Godaime." The boy shot his head up, staring in shock at the news, Fugaku smiled at him and nodded.

"M… me?" Itachi questioned.

"Itachi, I request you to retire your anbu mask and join my side so you can be trained for Godaime. It will be in the future because it's a difficult position, but you have the makings of being a great Hokage, so?" Hiruzen smiled, his wrinkles prominent now, Izumi pushed Itachi forward with a giggle.

"Hokage-sama.. I .. I mean -" Itachi stuttered. "Why me?"

"You've had the will of fire burning in your heart for years, you're talented, brilliant and strong. You want peace for your clan and your village." Itachi gave a small nod, his lips twitching in a smile as his heart swelled before faltering as one name flashed in his head.

Naru.

How would she react? At one time she dreamed of being a Hokage, but no doubt she didn't want that title. She hated the Hokage, so would she hate him? Would it push her over the edge? Should he tell her? Would Hiruzen tell her? Should he keep it a secret? Should he be honest?

Itachi tossed and turned all night with those questions that refused to let him rest and before he knew it, it was sunrise and he was due in the Hokage's office.

"You look like you've had little sleep…" Hiruzen commented eying his protege.

"Yes sir, a lot on my mind." Itachi murmured. "But I'm fine, I'm ready to start."

"Ask what you want to." Hiruzen commented, Itachi's breath hitched.

"Naru sir, what about- I mean what if she gets upset, I want to help her, but should we maybe not tell her."
"Itachi, that's your call. If you don't want to then we won't."

A quick knock on the door drew the two from her conversation, the door creaked open and revealed Danzo. Itachi's lip curled and his sharingan activated.

"Danzo old friend, what can I help you with?"

"Hiruzen, I wanted to talk to you alone, I have concerns about unrest.."

"Itachi will stay, he is training to be the Godaime, anything you say to me can be said in front of him."

"Are you certain Hiruzen, an Uchiha in the seat?"

"Of course, I trust Itachi and have been working with the clan closely." Hiruzen replied. Itachi clenched his teeth and balled his hands into tight fists.

"I just mean with Kyuubi attacking twice, and the first being an Uchiha,-"
"My father stopped Ky- Naru from further destruction. If you have concerns about the clan perhaps you could step from the shadows and speak with the clan together, instead of one Uchiha, alone." Itachi blinked, feeling the shift, Danzo stiffened as the young Uchiha's sharingan morphed into three spiral curves around his pupil.

'Mangekyō sharingan.' Danzo sighed deeply.

"Should I leave you two to have a conversation?" Hiruzen questioned, Danzo straightened, breaking eye contact.

"No, I just hope you know what you're doing." He turned and waltzed out of the office snapping the door shut.

"Itachi, if something is happening or has happened, you need to fill me in." Hiruzen whispered.

-o0o-

Six months quickly passed for the village, Itachi was by Hiruzen's side nearly all the time, learning his role with precision and wisdom that impressed the council, Hiruzen and the Fire Daimyō. After training Itachi's time was torn between training Sasuke and dating Izumi, but even with the little time he had, Naru never left his thoughts. He knew he had to bide his time until he could visit the girl.

"I have a favor to ask of you, Itachi." Hiruzen drew the boy from his notes.

"Sir?"
"Visit her, get her to change her mind."
"S…sir really?" Itachi nearly shook, Hiruzen smiled and nodded. Itachi sprung from his spot and raced from the office heading towards the prison below then paused heading to his home for something special.

Naru sat on her bed gently knocking her head on the concrete wall, her head water and sluggish, her nails stained from scratching the walls. The muffled creak of the upper room door pierced her ears. 'Ao, or maybe Tenzo, Kakashi even.' She tallied, everyday one of the trusted anbu came in to visit, to talk and attempt to convince her to rejoin, which she replied by throwing her food at them or sitting in the corner ignoring their sheer existence until they left her alone.

The door squeaked open and feet shuffled. 'Here we go…'

"Naru." Her breath hitched at his tone, the voice she hadn't heard in who knows how long, she whirled around finding Itachi dressed in his anbu uniform, his raven mask tied to his hip and a box of Ichiraku ramen in his hand.

"Itachi-nii?" He smiled, putting the food down and walked up, she whimpered racing forward and wrapping her arms around him as he crouched and returned the embrace.

She broke down and sobbed loudly in his shoulder, his hands rubbed her back and he gently hushed her.

"I'm here, it's okay." Naru pushed back wiping her eye then the snot from her nose. She looked at him, her eyes landing on the scar on his forehead that was distinctly made from chakra.

"D… did I-"
"It was an accident, don't you worry." She looked at his arm and traced the scar, her lip quivered before she whirled around and wrapped her arms around herself.

"I'm sorry, I never wanted to hurt you…. I.. I was angry and I was…. I mean she-" She dissolved into quiet sobs before Itachi pulled her back into his arms and smiled as she collapsed into the embrace.

"Naru, can you do me a favor?"
"What?"
"Rejoin the village." She pushed back and frowned at him.

"What?"
"Please Naru, I need you with me. I need you." He pleaded. "I sigh the clan has made good standings, I mean I even - it means nothing if you aren't with me." He changed his statement.

"I hate him! He locked me in here Itachi! He made A- her raise me when she hated me. He lied!"

"Then don't accept him, but please come back! I can't let you stay here, I finally got to come here, and I'm leaving you behind!" He took her hands rubbing her skin. "I can't do this alone." He lowered his eyes, Naru squinted at him.

"What happened Itachi? I know you."

"Shisui was killed on a mission, I need you and Sasuke, you're what keeps me grounded."
"I'm sorry." She whispered, her finger traced the mask design and heaved a heavy sigh. "I can't pretend to like him."
"Then don't." Itachi set his chin on her head. "Hiruzen can't expect you to be cordial with him, he just wants you to say you won't go rogue. Get back out there and learn jutsu, be a superb ninja."

Naru heaved a heavy sigh then gave a small nod.

"Fine." Itachi pressed a kiss on her head with a smile.

"Thank you."

Naru winced as Itachi and Tenzo escorted her from the dark prison to the bright day, she popped her neck and looked at the cuffs around her wrists and ankles, both men gently holding her arms and led her to a private room where Hiruzen stood. He smiled at her which she looked away from.

Itachi bumped her shoulder gently, she glared at him then toed the ground.

"I hear you've made a final decision…"

"I'll rejoin." She murmured. Itachi cleared his throat and gestured. "I'll rejoin you…. Hokage." She repeated louder, Hiruzen smiled and nodded.

"I'm happy to hear Naru-chan."

"But," Naru began, Itachi groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I'm not the same stupid person I was. I'll never trust you, nor do I like you. I'll trust a select few and you will never be one again. I want my mother's things and anything about my clan, anything about them, and my name to formally bear the Uzumaki surname. It's my right is it not?"
"You have high demands young Uzumaki, but I understand them, I will grant you access to our village's knowledge of the Uzumaki Clan." Hiruzen gave a tiny chuckle. "I also respect your feelings, it doesn't mean I won't stop trying to help you."

"And another-mmph!" She began before Itachi slapped his hand over her mouth and tugged her against his body.

"No, no that's enough, she will graciously accept that, thank you Hokage-sama." Itachi intervened and fixed Naru with a look.

"If you wish to discuss more at a later date, you know where to find me, go visit the hospital and get a physical exam, cleaned up and have the seals removed."

Naru held on as Itachi carried her on his back, she looked at her dirty arms that encircled the boy's neck, her legs around his waist. She was stained, her skin dry and a lot paler than it had ever been. It made her wonder how bad she looked, after all, the only 'bath' she got was in a small tub with fairly cold water once a week, it was hardly worthy of the title bath. Arriving at the awaiting room, she got her answer, her skin was dirty, some bruises and scrapes still stuck out, her normally healthy hair was stained, dried and frizzy. The only possible solution would be to cut most of it off. Her cheeks sunken in and dark marks under her eye and her lips chapped and broken.

"Okay, let's get this bandage off, with the ointment that's been applied, the wound should be closed and no longer infected." The young orange haired nurse supplied as she gently pried the gauze from Naru's eye. "You know there was nothing that could be done-"
"It's fine." Naru sniped, whirling around and walking into the bathroom.

"I'll be right outside." Itachi supplied before she shut the door.

Once the hot water hit Naru, her tense muscles relaxed, she watched dirt and possibly dried blood pour down the drain, turning the clear liquid gray as she scrubbed and scrubbed her skin then her hair over and over until the water began to cool down.

She cried out as she felt a strong pulse in her head.

Playing nice is quite pathetic. She glared up at the caged fox before her.

I didn't ask your opinion.

You were begging for my help since that night. When the human came for you.

Shut up. She bit out.

"Why Naru, is that anyway to talk to your aunt?" Naru quivered and turned watching a copy of Akane pull from the water, her gauntlet gleaming as she approached

Stop it! Stop it! Naru cried.

"They're lying to you, no one wants you. You'll kill them all."

SHUT UP! Naru screamed, dropping to her knees and covering her ears. The cold water made her gasp and fling herself from the shower, she kicked and thrashed before heaving for air.

"Naru?" Itachi called as he knocked on the door.

"W….wait a sec- ah!" She yelped, gripping her eye that burned.

"Naru!"
"I'm okay, I…. I tripped, I'm coming." Naru stood moving her hand finding fresh blood in her palm.

She took the fresh sweats and sweater sliding them on and peered into the mirror at her reflection. Her missing eye was leaking blood and burning. "What the hell." She whispered.

The scars went through her eyelid and just over her eyebrow, the second much like the same but ending through the first whisker mark on her cheek and another vertically through the two scars above her whisker marks and ending on her earlobe.

She found the once indented eyelid now back to normal, she gripped the sink and forced her eye open revealing a healed eyeball, but much different from her other undamaged eye. Her iris blood red with a fox-like pupil instead of round, it stood out from her other and made her close her eyes.

'I'm a freak…' She looked at the door where Itachi waited, she took in a breath and exited ensuring her eyes closed tight.

"Hey, you okay?" He asked, holding her shoulders gently, she shook her head and bit into her lip. "Naru, look at me." She slowly opened them both revealing the change, his eyebrows raised in shock before a small smile appeared. He activated his sharingan and closed one eye and fixed her with a brilliant smile. "We match."

Hope you're enjoying it! Tell me what you think
