Chapter 16 : A Stack of Trouble

Mewtwo just stayed at the side, merely watching this unfold before him. He just rested in a mere sitting position floating a foot or so off the ground while Thomas explained merely a part of the situation. He had still forced his way into Sarah's mind and discovered some truth for himself, but he made sure not to harm Sarah this time though.

His mere presence made Sarah nervous a bit though, but at the same time, Thomas's presence and the caring loving nature that Suicune was giving off was encouraging, Suicune acting almost motherly to her as well, having extended a ribbon for Sarah to touch, and then gently pulling her back to rest against Suicune herself. While Thomas sat and rested on a log, Suicune rested her head on his lap while she laid down, and Sarah encouraged to sit up against her side. Even as he talked though, he finally brought out the practice violin that he, or rather Radara had gotten on Shamouti Island and started to tune it, giving it a few notes there throughout his explanations, Suicune so eager and trying to push him into playing something proper the whole time.

Thomas never told her everything, merely that he had been helping to make sure that no one captured the legendary for years now, that capturing one and not allowing them to play their part in nature would only lead to a sudden increase in natural disasters the globe over. He told Sarah that Mewtwo was created in a lab that he just so happened to wander upon, that Team Rocket had created him, and that he was trying to find a home where Mewtwo could be free, and not followed by Team Rocket or others. This was all that Thomas was willing to share however, Thomas keeping what he actually was a secret still.

It was a lot for Sarah to take him, but eventually even Mewtwo seemed to understand that Sarah could be trusted, no longer eyeing her and merely returning to his laptop, which just confused Sarah even more. The long night was thankfully peaceful on the enclosed beach, and Thomas even got a chance to rest with Rebecca, Radara helping to hide the fact that they were together to avoid more questions for now, Sarah sleeping in her own tent, but also letting her pokemon out to rest freely that night.

As morning came, more reports of disturbances of various kinds, mostly involving demanding trainers who thought that the information about Suicune was their right, and the number of publicly listed arrested trainers of all kinds was now up to nearly fifty because of the scene that Thomas had caused yesterday. On the one hand, he felt bad for the scene and trouble he had caused. On the other hand though, he knew that most of the trainers who were making scenes now weren't of good character to begin with, and if they were will to cause enough of a scene to get arrested in the first place, then it really was their own fault.

The museum wouldn't open up until around maybe noon, and so Thomas didn't care too much about a late start. He was up first of course and while he just quietly looked over the news app, and after carefully extracting himself from Rebecca's grasp, he looked around while preparing a nice simple breakfast for everyone. A large batched of scrambled eggs for the meat eaters among the group, a few fish strips for mewtwo, and a large batch of berry pancakes for everyone, Thomas couldn't help but wonder what the day would bring and if it was still such a good idea.

It was still his only lead about things, and he still had no clue as where this temple was, only that there were documents about it in the Goldenrod Museum. As the others all started to wake up, Thomas let them all get something to eat while Thomas started to put together a full shopping list of things that he could use, mostly food for the next week, but also a few other things. As Sarah woke up, Thomas let her get something to eat, and then once she was awake herself, gave her the list of things he needed.

"Sarah, I still need to access the records in Goldenrod. Can I ask you to take this list of things and pick them up for me while I head to the museum?" Thomas asked. "My father had some notes about places he visited and may have left things in, and I need to find some place for Mewtwo to make his home. I'm sure there are dozens of abandoned buildings out there that Mewtwo could do something with, I just need to find an isolated one that might be hard to get to." Thomas explained, Sarah giving a nod, and taking the list, along with a fair amount of cash that Thomas had on hand still.

"Its still hard to believe that you've been doing this for years... but I guess it does answer so many questions about you." Sarah said, looking over the list and nodding a bit, knowing where she could get just about everything.

"I'm going to make a stop at a laundry mat first, get my clothing washed since I need to do that still, but afterwards, I'll be heading for the museum. If you need to do any shopping, go ahead and do it. I'll likely be at the museum all day anyway once it opens." Thomas said. "If you have anything you want me to wash as well, I could handle it while I'm doing mine."

Sarah just shook her head though. "No, I did all mine yesterday morning before you called out for me." She said, just looking back over to Suicune again, only for her pokedex to give off a small alert that she quickly looked over. "Oh, well, I might be slow myself. My new pokedex is in. This one has a cracked battery port and I can't charge without an electric pokemon or swapping out batteries anymore, so I ordered a new one. I didn't expect it for a week or two though since I custom ordered it, parts and everything to fit my new set of costumes for contests this season." Sarah explained.

"Oh... well lucky you I guess. Why don't you get that first to make sure everything gets put on it proper, then go do the shopping. Like I said, I'll be here most of the day anyway, so it won't matter if you want to take some extra time on that first just in case there's a problem." Thomas offered.

The cover of a vent in the back room was slowly pushing out of place, and then just as slowly and carefully, a younger man slowly pulled himself out from the vent and carefully looked over the area. He easily stood out, his dark green hair and piercing yellow eyes alone were very different from that of the normal locals, and usually only trainers or coordinators would stand out so much. The johto pokedex on his belt could have hinted at either, but for now, the young man seemed to be on mission on his own.

The backroom of the museum was thankfully empty at the moment as he started to look over the place, looking over various shelves and tables, before finding an ornate desk and fancy name plate, belonging to whoever was in charge. Pulling out a fresh set of latex gloves and then going to work, he carefully looked over the desk and what was on top at first, a few interesting documents, but nothing major or related to his actual task at the moment.

He continued to look over the desk, and then started on the drawers, the usual assortment of things inside most of them. Office supplies, a giant stack of museum forms and legal documents, spare gloves and restoration supplies, even a large drawer of snacks and a few drinks. He was about to move on as he opened the last drawer, and while inspecting it like he had all the others, a small sound caught his attention, a small click, from a hidden switch.

What had appeared to be a seamless surface of the desk, in an empty spot on the right side turned out to be a well hidden secret compartment. Lifting the panel that kept it hidden, there was a large file envelope inside and this quickly caught the man's interest. It was blatantly marked with a large red capital R on the upper right hand side, and that was exactly what he was looking for. Checking for any kind of trap, he carefully looked it over, making sure the envelope was safe to remove, and then also safe to open before giving one more look around.

Taking the files, and quickly putting everything else back as he found it, he checked his watch. He only had a few minutes to spare before people were likely to be back, but this was hopefully more than enough for what he was looking for. Sure he had some papers proving that he was supposed to be allowed back here, but for him it was just better he felt if he had never been seen in the first place.

Moving back to the vent, and carefully crawling back in, then replacing the vent cover, he made his way backwards to where he had entered the vents in the first place. A shiny gardevoir was waiting for him in the bathroom, just looking herself over in the mirror for now, before feeling her master return and turning with a smile. With a small bow, the man knew it was safe to re-enter the bathroom, this time from the vents, and he wouldn't be discovered as he dropped in and put the second vent cover back in place.

Now safe, he took a seat in the corner of the room on top of a suit case he had and then opened up the envelope and started looking through the rather large stack of papers, and photos within. There were multiple documents about various things, but most of the paperwork seemed to connected to something, a set of similar phrases that kept coming up again and again, along with other repeating words. It seemed like Team Rockets strange interest in historical sites had drawn the attention of some other group who were causing problems for them now.

The common phrase of "false children of Arcues", "Knights of Arcues", and "The Last Demon" were commonly seen throughout most of the documents, with many repeated words, including "Demons", "Legendaries", and even "Temples." It was all highly confusing to the man, but he just kept reading. There was easily more then enough evidence to convict Team Rocket of something, although he was unsure of just how much or if it would have any real effect.

As he started to look through the photos though, a few things stood out as he took pictures of everything inside the envelope. While most were just some strange stone work buildings or something, there were also some pictures of what looked like laser etched glass or similar, things that couldn't be as old as the photos were suggesting. Xent mostly and just dismissed these things as fast they showed up, more interested in a few other photos, like one that was noted to be a Mew fossil.

At the very back, there was even some kind of map, if a bit of a crude one that showed that this other group, whoever was attacking Team Rocket had found something large and worth protecting a bit to the Northwest of Olivine City, in the mountains. Removing the paper clip from the map and looking over the two attached images, one of which was a collection of various spires of some kind, all looking like that had laser etched images in them, but too dark to really make out.

The other image however was surprisingly clear, a high powered light of some kind shining on it easily making out the image contained with the spire. An image of the face of a male human, in his adulthood, but not fully grown perhaps, his late teens if Xent had to guess, but just a tiny bit of the face was cut off in the image, blocked by some kind of stone wall. Of more interest however were the images of six pokemon placed around the head of the man, a partially cut off flareon on the bottom, and then rounding its way up were the images of a vaporeon, glaceon, sylveon, and finally at the top was espeon and eevee both above the face of the man.

"Well... someone likes their eeveelutions. Still don't believe that these haven't been faked though, no one can make glass like that that's... what is this, over a thousand years old?" The man commented as he looked over the things again, before putting them all back in the envelope. He just hoped that it was enough to fulfill his part of the deal he had been forced into. Taking the chip out of his pokedex and putting it into the flip phone he had. He quickly started sending off the files and after it had time to send, he'd just give it to his electrike later as a toy.

Getting up and calling his gardevoir back and calling out his zoroark, he put the file into his briefcase and then attached the briefcase to strap and just slung it over his shoulder and left the bathroom at last and just started to look around a bit. He had kept a few of the images out to look over, wondering if the museum had any other exhibits that might be of interest and sate his own curiosity about them. The various mentions of temples had caught his eye after all, there were sometimes dangerous things kept inside them, if not highly valuable things, both things that Team Rocket might want which would explain the sudden interest in history and supposed attacks on museums and other places that they were rumored to have started attacking in the last few days.

There was one other image that he also kept out however and just gave it good look over, the image of the man with the eeveelutions all around him. "Hell, its detailed enough you could probably find a guy that looked like … him …" The man looked up and just slowly stopped. A few meters from him, looking over some exhibits between himself and this person was the very same man in the image, but real, right there and looking around. Xent slowly looked back down the image again, before holding it up and sure enough, it was practically picture perfect. As this new person of interest moved away from the exhibit, the man quickly noted the espeon at his side as well, who also looked like a perfect match for the espeon in the image.

"I... what... The hell?" The man quickly asked himself in confusion, only to quickly move after the person he had found.

Thomas just looked over a few more things, his latest focus on a large display of Mount Silver, one of the largest natural pokemon reserves in all of Japan. Of all things it was famous for, it noted most of all for its strict no trespassing policies because of all the powerful and high level pokemon who lived in, on, and just around the mountain. There were an easy dozen deaths a year related to trainers who ignored the no trespassing signs, thinking themselves better then they were really or those who thought that they couldn't be hurt and were just too stupid to realize that pokemon could indeed kill a person and that the high level wild pokemon didn't care about such things like not harming or even killing humans.

Only select pokemon researchers, a small number of trainers, and a few others were allowed to enter the reserve for safety concerns alone. This particular model of Mount Silver had also included a number of interesting details, showing the locations of different research stations built on Mount Silver, a number of them now long abandoned, as well as many other little things. While Silver City, the home of the Silver Conference and Johto's Silver League took place was near the foot of the mountain, it was also the only nearby city, and even then travel was still restricted for heading up to the mountain.

Looking down, he used his pokedex to scan the plaque display and save the information for later, even paying a few extra fees to get a detailed digital book on Mount Silver, although in this case it was more for Mewtwo then it was himself. Mount Silver wouldn't be for just anyone to access after all, and all Mewtwo would need to do to "defend" himself in most cases even if he was found out was just teleport unruly trainers into any of the occupied ranger stations.

Moving away and heading towards the back, or starting to anyway, he was just still concerned about his lack of information about this specific temple. The map of museum had mentioned some "mystery" exhibits, a collection of strange and unusual exhibits that did fit into any other real category so to speak. With the unusual properties and rarely discovered temples of the watchers and legendaries being very unique in and of themselves, built first not by human, or even watcher hands, the temple like sanctuaries were often fit into such strange exhibits in museums whenever they did pop up.

Of course, while all of the sanctuaries were all still hidden, there were really only four of their temples of the hundred or so that were scattered across Japan that had been discovered, and three of them were ones that none of the watchers or legendaries cared to visit anymore for certain reasons, the biggest being that one had been dedicated to Tavu, and that was a very touchy subject among the watchers and legendaries.

As he started for the back however, he barely noticed the follower that looking at them, but Radara at least noticed as she walked with him. She didn't think too much of it though, searching for other thoughts first, of anyone who had found something of interest that worked in the back rooms of the museum. With her mind focused on something that wasn't directly in her line of sight, or even really close, it strained her a bit and so she only barely glanced into the minds of others around them. The only thing she felt from this one mind maybe following though was utter confusion and a search for answers.

Although a bit crowded, Thomas was as usual easily able to slip through and around the crowds like it was nothing, just moving smoothly threw them all as though it was just second nature to him, Radara not even having a problem keeping up with them as the walked into the next section of the museum that was far less crowded, before easily moving though further. While a few other things caught Thomas's eye, they were of course eager to try and find answers and as soon as they entered the "Mysteries of the Past" exhibit.

It had a few groups of people looking around, but it was still rather calm in comparison to a number of other exhibits and Thomas wondered that if the place being a closed for a day while the new exhibits were put had actually helped him now.

He spent a few scanning the room as he walked slowly into the exhibit, Radara looking around herself, only to give a small whine. There taking up a large display on the far end of the hall was the very temple site that the watchers and legendaries didn't like to talk about, a replica if slightly off one of the temple on display with its large stone entrance looking almost but not entirely like the head of Arcues.

Both of them just avoided the display, uncaring for the others who seemed very interested in the thing as Thomas and Radara just very quickly skipped over it looking for clues to actual temple that they were after. There was any immediate clue however to what they were looking for however as they slowly looked over the room. Not seeing anything directly, Thomas and Radara just starting moving clockwise around the room, taking their time and looking over everything, even taking the chance to read through as many of display notes and plaques as they could.

Working their way into the far corner of the room, they never noticed as almost everyone else left leaving just themselves, and a man and his zoroark. The man quickly moved up to Thomas and Radara though now that they were alone.

"Hey so quick question, I'm a researcher here at the museum and I happened to come across this photo in some documents I was given. It's a rather long shot but would you happen to know anything about the man depicted in this photo?" The man quickly asked, nearly shoving the image into his face, trying to play it off as something simple.

"What are you..." Thomas started, already annoyed with the man, and before finally seeing the image and then just snatching it out of Xent's hands before Xent could even react, Radara instantly taking action as well.

"That's mine." Xent started trying to take it back, only for his hands to get physically stopped and then forced back to his sides while Thomas thoroughly inspected the image, sharing his sight with Radara to let her see the image as well. Without a doubt, it was the two of them, although the image was of Thomas just a year or two older, when his physical facial changes had finished, while Radara looked just a bit smaller, freshly evolved in any given image of her many forms, Radara already in his mind searching for answers and judging him.

"Where did you get this?" Thomas asked, slowly looking up, uncaring for the man as he seemed to growled a bit, his zoraork finally noticing that Radara was restraining her trainer and growling loudly, even making sure to show off her claws.

'His name is Xent Crostavia, and he is a thief. He was hired to find out what Team Rocket is up to and found this instead.' Radara stated, already in his mind, her full attention given to him now.

"I'd keep your zoroark under control unless you like the thought of being arrested. We're still on camera and everything shows you as the aggressor right now, and I guarantee I'll walk free, Xent..."

"Let me go." Xent stated, only to glare at Radara. "And keep the furball out of my head or you'll regret it."

"Should I inform the museum and police that a thief was in the backrooms before randomly following and then interrogating random people instead?" Thomas asked, looking over the back of the photo and reading the notes, a small bit of text on the back, but not enough to help him since it was just a date and some kind of sequence of numbers and letters that Thomas just assumed was a identification code or something since he couldn't anything else of it.

"It won't do a thing if you did." Xent stated, trying to shield his thoughts like he had tried to train himself to do on his own, but of course Radara was far more powerful then any psychic type he had encountered before.

'He's bluffing and trying to keep me out, but he's not strong enough to do so with me. While he has documents saying he is supposed to be allowed back there to find evidence of Team Rocket's involvement in some attacks on various historical collections, he still broke into the back rooms and … he has a rather large file from Team Rocket... and the Knights of Arcues in his briefcase, and a copy of the documents and photos on spare phone he intends to give to his electrike as a toy later. He has no idea who the knights are, but for now we are the target of his interest and he believes it his rite to know everything about us. Funny considering he refuses to let others know much about him and is ready to use such things like homemade flashbangs or more to protect his own secrets.' Radara continued, her eyes barely flashing as she teleported the phone from Xent's pocket into Thomas's.

"You're bluffing. You broke into the back rooms, you found something, and now your personally stalking me to find out answers to sate your personal curiosity. So I will say this simply." Thomas stated pulling the phone that Radara had taken from him and put into his pocket out and looking over the information, quickly finding the map and zooming in on it.

"If you try to follow me, you will get hurt. I just want to be left alone, and I will protect myself. If it comes down to it, I will take your memories and do what I have to protect myself, even if it means making you forget your entire life." Thomas stated, Radara making Xent move over a bench and then make him forget how to use his legs, the most she could do given that they were others around and they were on camera, it was just something that wouldn't cause a scene which was very important. "You'll be able to stand in a few minutes. I won't interfere with whatever your doing here, but don't follow me."

Rushing back out of the museum now, Thomas really only cared for the map, but he knew that the other information that just kind of got handed to him by sheer chance could also be useful, and it even answered where Team Rocket found out about the Mew fossil. Moving quickly towards the exit, Thomas pulled out his proper pokephone and sent Sarah a message that he found what he was after and was on the way out.

Thinking it safe once more, and both occupied as Thomas looked through the various files on the phone, neither of them had noticed the second stalker that had taken note of them and started to follow Thomas now. While Radara was still trying to keep a partial eye out for them, the crowds had only grown, and still keeping an eye on Xent to make sure that he didn't follow them, the second stalker went unnoticed.

Walking out into the open and leaving quickly, the second stalker called out a pokemon himself and started to get closer, but unlike Xent, the medicham they had walking with them was actively hiding his thoughts and protecting him once they left the museum. Thomas didn't even make it down the first block before they both saw Sarah moving up and rushing towards him.

It didn't take long for Sarah to meet up with him, and Radara only glanced around quickly for an empty alleyway in too much of a rush to check the thoughts of others nearby and still not noticing their stalker who was being hidden, now by something more as well. Moving quickly into the alleyway with Sarah to explain to her quietly and hopefully quickly about what he planning, they found a spare metal bench to sit on.

"Sarah, I found something linking to answers about my family, but I need to go now." Thomas explained as he pulled his bag off, and opened it to take what he had Sarah get for him. "There's a problem though, that its dangerous to get to. I feel confident in my ability to get there and be fine doing it, I've spent lots of time in and under a mountain, but I don't know if you can keep up. Its in the mountains just northwest of Olivine City, and you can wait for me there if you want." He said, Sarah just listening for now.

"Ya know, I'm just as much of a traveler as you are, you do know that right?" Sarah said, not so quick to be left behind in place of an adventure, to see new sights. "I think I can handle myself. And besides, I might like to see whatever new sights you can take me to. You do have a habit of finding the more interesting places."

"I know you're a skilled traveler, but these are supposed to be rugged mountains in long abandoned trade ways. I don't want to risk you getting hurt trying to foll-" Thomas started, only for the older man who had been stalking Thomas moved up and just grabbed his arm, and in one rapid clearly trained motion, twisted his arm back, snapped something around his wrist, and then to the heavy metal bench. Although Thomas tried to instinctively fight back, the other man's sheer strength and own training seemed to give him an advantage and helped him secure Thomas to the bench.

"Hey!" Thomas shouted struggled a bit, but it was not good enough, the man rushing back completely ignoring him now. Radara reacted fast, but not fast enough, still trying to yank him back, but a medicham who had been around the corner quickly pulled the man back forward and put up a strong barrier trying to hinder Radara. Even Sarah tried to help, rushing up and trying to help get the cuff off, but there wasn't even a keyhole, just what looked like a digital read out, along with a very fancy police emblem.

"You shouldn't have screwed with the Boss kid... You're never getting away now, we own the police here." The man grunted as he left quickly. "Never mess with Team Rocket." He added taking both Thomas's and Sarah's picture, and then quickly rounded the corner.

"Thomas, Thomas are you okay?" Sarah quickly asked, just in shock of what had happened.

"I'm fine... he just clearly only wanted to lock us up here... and this is police gear alright, which means I don't think he's lying about any officers who might show up to "help" us..." Thomas grumbled. Thomas knew he could get out, all he needed to do was fry it and the magnetic lock would open right up. He just couldn't do that in front of Sarah.

"Damn it... Sarah, go up there and let me know if anyone starts to approach, if anyone sees me like this, that will just raise a ton of questions and if the police do get here, they could really be on their payroll. I'll have Radara break it off, but it will need a moment." Thomas stated, Sarah quickly nodding and rushing up to the front end of the alleyway and looking around.

As soon as she was up there though, Thomas just grabbed the chain of the fancy handcuffs with the hand that locked up, and then grabbing the large cuff and applied his own electrical current though them, trying to be a quiet as possible. It took a few seconds, but the device quickly shorted out and once it lost power, both ends opened up and Thomas just threw the cuffs into bag before rushing up to Sarah.

"Come on, let's go. Radara was a lot better then I thought with this." He said, leaning down and rubbing her ears even though it was a complete lie. They were both stressed about things and today as well as yesterday was just a blunder in and of itself with everything going on. This time looking around proper to see if anyone was following them directly, Thomas quickly rushed forward and holding onto Sarah, guiding her along, moved right for the transit center.

While not as fast as the magnet train between Kanto and Johto, there were still other trams to take and Olivine City was a stop on to a different city entirely. Getting some tickets and then boarding the tram, Thomas and Sarah found a seat in the back, Thomas just shaking his head hard, before just holding his head hands and covering his face.

'I'm sorry Thomas... this was my fault. I should have noticed everything sooner.' Radara said, hopping up onto the seat next to him, resting her head in his lap as Sarah sat across from him, the two of them alone in one of the tram cars thankfully.

"Thomas... I'm going with you into the mountains. You need help right now. If Team Rocket found you again when you have Suicune and what was... oh right... Mew...two?" Sarah stated. "They won't just stop anytime soon now, its dangerous for you travel alone. I don't know what you intend to find in the mountains, but I'm coming with you. That Rocket Grunt took our pictures which means that they'll be looking for us both. Maybe we should stop at the police station in Olivine City before heading out and file a report. I know you have to find answers if you and I'll follow you no matter what choice you make right now, but this getting a bit dangerous."

Normally, Thomas would have argued or tried to think up something, but now he had just openly drawn Sarah into the whole thing with Team Rocket now. 'Even if I could find a simple excuse to leave her now, its no longer safe for us here in Kanto and Johto for a while. I can't just wipe her memory of this because it would also erase the memory of danger of Team Rocket to her personally as well.' Radara sighed heavily as she just sat down and kept her head in Thomas's lap.

"I guess there really isn't a choice. You really won't me go out there alone while you head back to Hoenn or to Sinnoh or somewhere else other then stay in Johto or Kanto?" Thomas asked, at first looking down and still just gently rubbing Radara's ears before looking up to Sarah.

"No, there isn't. Team Rocket really wants their pokemon back and if they find you also have a legendary pokemon, they won't leave you at all. You need help, and I'm going to help until we both leave Johto and go somewhere else." Sarah stated firmly. "I can't compete properly this season in the Johto Contests, and now I should avoid the Kanto Contests this year. So I've got nothing but time until the Sinnoh season starts late this summer or wait for early spring to get into the proper Hoenn Contests if I want to try for the Master Rank this year."

"I'm sorry for dragging you into this. I never meant to risk putting you danger, but thank you for trying to help anyway." Thomas said slowly looking up to her. "It might be best if we don't file a police report though. My two extra guests aren't on the public registry and I'd prefer not to let that slip, to say nothing of the hassle of trying to explain about how I got them both and their relation to Team Rocket..."

"Its not like your the only who causes problems for them. They're bad people with bad intentions, and they really should be stopped. Its not like you went out of your attack them and steal their pokemon or anything." Sarah said slowly, before looking her bag over again and then reaching over. "I got most of those things you asked for by the way. I didn't have time to get all the things you asked, but I got most of it." She said, pulling up her bag and opening it up to start handing off things to Thomas now.

"Thanks. We'll just have to get the rest later... maybe after we're done in Olivine City. Things should calm down after that." Thomas said, helping Sarah now as she started to hand him things. "We'll start for the mountains as soon as we get there, but it will still be a few days until I hope to find what I'm looking for..." Thomas said, expecting just a simple place from the outside, something that he could pass off as a cave or something, a small private retreat that Thomas could just get in and out of, closing the door until later when it was safer for all of them.

~xXx~

In part of a another hang up, a large group of stubborn miltank on the tracks who didn't want to move and something else that Thomas and Sarah couldn't make out also involved with the miltank, the train was delayed another few hours before at last arriving in Olivine City. They had a few hours before sunset, and they set out in a rush as soon as they left the station. They had enough food easily for two weeks, far more if they rationed a bit and foraged for more, and that was all that they really needed, needing to avoid towns for a while anyway.

Both were quiet, Sarah seemed a bit worried about things more, but Thomas made sure not to ditch her this time, even if he could easily right now as they walked along some lesser used trainer routes through the forest surrounding Olivine City heading northeast. They couldn't stay on the main trails for long though, but now that Thomas had a good idea of where they needed to go after studying the map for the hours spent on the train, both his own and Radara's minds were recalling ancient trails that they had used in the area, as well as other trails that they had been told of frequently in their past lives.

They had passed a few trainers on the way back and forth, and Sarah was worried about two of them who seemed to favor dressing in black that were following them for a bit, but Thomas had reassured her that they weren't with Team Rocket, Radara was still calm, and now she wasn't taking chances, she was properly looking at everyone around them for a while.

As they kept walking though, Thomas eventually took them down fork in the trainer route, the route already over grown a bit, showing signs of very infrequent use and much smaller then any other trail, only taking a chance to pull out some glow sticks and checking his flashlight as the sun was starting to set, already fully over the tree line and light was starting to fade as they moved along.

They doubled their pace, Sarah suggesting that they stop and sleep at an old listed ranger station that was no longer in use down the path that they were taking, having been following along the trail with her pokephone the whole time as they walked. Thomas couldn't argue the idea, but it was a bit of ways down this older route. Still, ranger stations usually had some extra space for trainers who needed a spot to stay for the night, and even if it was abandoned, it would still be an open spot for the tents.

Their pace doubled again though when it started to rain a bit, and in the growing darkness, things were getting complicated more and more as Thomas and Sarah broke into a speedy jog to try and find the ranger station.

At last it came view, but it was already fully night by the time it did though and the rain was coming down fully as well, Radara giving a psychic umbrella to try and do her part to apologize for the day's events. Rushing up and looking over the place, it was far too overgrown to put much effort into trying to set up their tents proper, but as they looked around, they found they wouldn't need to. There were a few side buildings still standing beside the station, a large doorless garage that they could sleep in, and a large metal awning hanging off the side of the side of the ranger station, a pair of outdoor park grills just barely at its side.

While Sarah went about cleaning up the garage, Thomas set up a lamp under the awning and went to work on dinner. While he was at it, he also released all of his pokemon and Sarah followed suit. Mewtwo quickly showed off his power once more, the entire camp now covered in a field of telekinetic energy and there was plenty of space for them to spread out. Rebecca of course quickly moved to sit by Thomas as he started a fire in one of the grill, just waiting for him to finish up while Radara quickly reminded her again not to mess with Sarah.

"I'm sorry Mewtwo, but it looks like Team Rocket is going to be persistent about finding you. I did find something else while in the museum though, well two things. The first is simple, its a possible home for you on Mount Silver. You'd fit in proper there, here's the history and general information about it." Thomas explained, sending a copy of the information he got from the Mount Silver plaque to Mewtwo's laptop, and then reached out and pulled out the phone that he had acquired from Xent.

"I also found some files from Team Rocket about your birth too though. I didn't read through it fully, but it had information about where they found the Mew Fossil, and someone named Dr. Fuji who lead the project. Its not complete, but it might point you in the direction of learning more about yourself." Thomas said, Mewtwo quickly taking the phone and connecting it to his computer and looking over everything it had in rapid order.

'I see... there is not much here, but it does give me names and places. I will research these later when I have a connection to the internet once more... and you were found by people, Team Rocket almost captured you. These documents also mention the Knights of Arcues. Both could be around the temple we are searching for.' Mewtwo stated as he looked over the entirety of the documents for anything of interest to him.

"We?" Thomas asked however, looking to Mewtwo for a second.

'We. You personally interest me now given the events that have unfolded between us. If I am continue to see these events unfold, I choose to travel with you for a while until I grow bored or my own personal questions lead me elsewhere. As I lack internet connections at the moment and these documents do give me direct locations that would give me answers I seek, instead only detailing the events that would lead the project of my birth, then I shall remain at your side.' Mewtwo continued, before looking to the ranger station.

'There is a stored generator in that weather proof case there. Its a new model judging by the control panel, probably only a year or two old, and likely left here in case of emergencies or if the rangers intended to return to this station. If you were apply a large electrical charge, you could provide power to the generator as it was designed to take and store electrical attacks. It would likely provide power to the entire station here for several hours, including the lights.' Mewtwo quickly added.

"I think I'll pass. I haven't shared what I am with Sarah and I don't want her asking any ill timed questions. I already put her in enough danger with Team Rocket and if the knights are indeed involved with anything here, I don't want to put her at any more risk." Thomas said, a bit more quietly as he looked over to Sarah now.

'You should tell her what you are. It will make travel much easier. She is trust worthy, and wouldn't betray you and her values are strong.' Mewtwo responded looking over Sarah as well, before back to Thomas.

"She'll keep my secret of her own will, I don't doubt this. I just don't want to risk other groups trying to force answers from her. The sooner we leave Johto, the better." Thomas said.

'You intend to the leave the temple as is?' Mewtwo asked.

"I intend to find it, close the door, reinvigorate the defenses it was given and then leave. I have all the time in the world to come back later and see it for myself afterwards when its safe." Thomas quickly replied, before starting on the meal he had been preparing. His answer seemed to be enough for Mewtwo though, who merely stopped talking and then as usual went on to do something, done with that immediate conversation. He merely went to table and returned to his learning programs and slowly reviewing the notes that Thomas had given him now.

As mewtwo left the conversation though, Thomas just let it be, before looking back to Rebecca. "Come on, you can help." He said, seeing her waiting so eagerly, Rebecca happily moving up and looking over the various things.

Taking out a tiny bit of oil and a brush, Rebecca happily oiled up a cooking plate and it on the grill, letting it start to heat up, being careful to use a little oil as possible before Thomas handed her a strip of meat. "I'm sorry to you as well, but we can't leave Sarah behind for a while. Team Rocket found me and tried to hand cuff me to a bench to let someone else pick me up, and they have both of our pictures." Thomas said softly, rubbing Rebecca's ears. "She wants to help me, and she thinks it too dangerous for me to go alone right now. She's worried about a friend okay... so please please don't do anything to her." Thomas asked, almost pleading with her a bit, knowing that Rebecca didn't like Sarah for various reasons now that Thomas was courting her properly.

'But she keeps getting in our way... I know that... that I'm not supposed to be with you like this, but when we're not in a city, its supposed to be our time.' Rebecca whined a bit, but quickly perked back up again as Thomas just moved behind her and leaned down, lightly nuzzling her cheek again after checking to make sure that Sarah wasn't looking.

"And I'm still all yours, but I won't just abandon her right now. She really is just a friend and she won't take me away from you. That's no reason to just let her get hurt though. Team Rocket would torture her to get answers though, and there's no telling what other might do if they found us right now. I caused enough just releasing Suicune in Goldenrod City as it was, a lot of people are on edge since I messed up bad. Now they think that the legendaries can be captured just like any other pokemon. Honestly, I'm lucky that I haven't felt the call to protect my other brothers and sisters." Thomas sighed heavily, just gently helping or rather mostly watching Rebecca take care of the meat that slowly cooking right now.

'Mewtwo has a point though Thomas... You could tell Sarah about yourself, the truth about us, about Rebecca. She is understanding, and it really might be best if you intend to protect her. She could even travel freely with us after that.' Suicune said, her ribbons just gently rubbing both Rebecca and Thomas, taking a seat between them and Sarah to hide the actions a bit as she pushed them together just a little.

"Not you too..." Thomas said, just giving Suicune a slightly pleading look herself as well, gently wrapping a hand around Rebecca's hips and pulling her into his side just a bit more.

'He has good points you now. Radara trusts her, you even trust her, and I feel safe around her. She even already helped you with Mew, and she wants to help keep you safe even knowing that Team Rocket is after you, and as a result, her now as well. We did put her in some danger, but she doesn't seem to care, she only wants to help even more now.' Suicune continued.

"But... look I just really think that its a bad idea okay. The knights are involved now and I don't want to involve her with them. Team Rocket is one thing, but they at least try to keep a good face. They don't openly really hurt people if they can help it and they'll have to give up later once we leave Johto, otherwise they would start a crime war all throughout Japan and that's just bad for everyone. The Knights won't care, they'll still murder to protect their religious values, even if it means accepting murder charges." Thomas explained.

"I don't want to lose anyone else and she might accidentally share with someone who won't have her same values and I've been sold out for less before too, its j-" Suicune just quickly moved a ribbon up and pressed it to Thomas's lips silencing him.

'We can use the help Thomas. And you do need the companionship. Rebecca will always be your first love in generations, but you need other people around you.' Suicune started, Rebecca about to yell out, only for Suicune to push her more again Thomas. 'I would never take Rebecca from you, or try and separate you, but you and your direct brothers and sisters, all of the watcher always needed to be part of both worlds, to be with humans and pokemon. Of course it feels wrong to not be with both sides of who you are, and even Radara feels it. She just stays quiet about it because she has other concerns.' Suicune started, another voice quickly speaking up almost instantly as soon as Suicune finished.

'Well, if your going to flat out bring me into this, then yes. I do feel off not being around both humans and other pokemon. We were always meant to be part of both worlds, and yes we do need the help... but I was going to hold off on that a bit until Thomas got use to just accepting a lover in the first place, to say nothing of Rebecca being a bit too clingy.' Radara quickly stated, highly annoyed to be called out so directly and yet not to her own face.

Rebecca just growled a bit at the comment. She didn't feel like she was clingy, she just wanted all the time she could get with Thomas, to go on proper date like he had done with her on South Mandarin Island. 'Clingy... No one is taking Thomas from you, but you can't go causing problems yourself. Yes he's paying more attention to you then before, but you both have to be careful. There are places where people won't care about it, but most humans do and unfortunately for the two of you right now, its not a good time to try and change things to the ways of the past, when we were welcomed by the world for who we were, when our decisions were always ours to make.' Radara continued, slowly moving up now and hopping up onto a large covered stack of fire wood beside the building.

"Do we really have to have this talk right now?" Thomas grumbled a bit himself now, just glancing over to Sarah a bit, Sarah almost done cleaning up the weeds and more in the garage and starting to sweep things up so that they could lay out their bedrolls.

'If you had it your way, you'd just walk away from time itself. I know things are hard Thomas, but please, give things a chance. You found a lover, someone who can you spend their life with, but you still need to be around humans.' Radara stated, looking over him and then back to Sarah.

"Look, I jus-" Thomas tried to start again, only to be silenced again by Suicune's ribbon.

'She is already in danger because of us, we know. But until you are ready to say something of your own will, and not haunted by the past of the Knights, then we are done here. You are still growing, and your past lives have spent too much time teaching you fear. When you are ready to give us your own words, we will continue this.' Suicune said at last, just gently edging Rebecca and Thomas apart again, Rebecca growling a bit about it, but taking a step of own will from Thomas's side, her tail still holding Thomas's leg though as Suicune got up and moved.

Looking over the meat, and seeing how it was all cooked up nicely, Thomas just helped Rebecca pull it from the grill, and started to make some bowls, a few small rice balls for everyone, and the meat slowly getting divided up as usual mostly for the meat eaters of the group.

"Food's ready." Thomas called out, quickly getting everyone attention as he started to set the bowls down on the table or the bench beside it, in easy reach of everyone who would be eating among the group.
