CHAPTER .

Susan was a deliberately created Meta Crisis. A clone of two or more people, that shares a sliver of each person's soul... Susan... was special, designed to be a proper General, she had the combined knowledge, of each qualified Time Lord. And was being trained to one day take the place of the Time Lord High General.

But the Doctor took a shine to her, seeing the girl endure great pressure, and expectations... and gave her a shoulder to cry on.

Susan trusted the Doctor, the only person to actually care about what she thought of all this... who cared when she felt overwhelmed... who listened when she complained... who loved her as a parent would their child...

So when the Doctor asked her to join him, she gladly did so. Now... Susan was about to betray that bond.

3 weeks after Susan had her adventures with Rose and River, in the library.

Susan stared at General Luna. Feeling... something... she couldn't put her finger on it. She knew this could be a trick, fae were known to twist their deals, to suit themselves.

Susan was sleeping. But the barrier between dimensions, was thinner in the dream realm. And she was contacted by something that needed permission to enter... something that read her souls desires, as easily as spotting her breathing.

"I can give you, your ideal life," General Luna assured. "Living on a more benevolent Gallifrey, being raised by the Doctor and the Master. I can even make it so you are related to them both. All you have to do... is let me in."

"Why me?" Asked Susan.

The fae gave a shrug... although didn't appear to realize what the gesture meant. As she explained in a serious tone. "I have been made aware of a potential Cosmic Champion. And have been observing their dreams. Learning of their deeds, and researching if they are worthy of me.

"They appear to be just starting their interdimensional career... but I am impressed by what they did, for your universe. Her actions put you on my radar... I have seen your dreams, know your desires. They intrigue me."

That only worried Susan more, "I know I can be naive," Susan eyed warily. "But what do you plan to do, once you get here?"

"I will save your worlds," Luna promised. "I will gather champions. Feeding me their dreams, their goals, and their nightmares. In exchange for living their own ideal life. And together, we will save the multiverse from a terrible evil. That has yet to turn it's sights on this dimension... but it will."

Susan eyed her. Knowing fae do not lie. They might not say the whole truth... but they never lie. They didn't even know how.

"While that's all well in good. I know how fae work." Susan insisted, "True, you'll give me my ideal life... but you'll do so by making copies of my loved ones. Distorting their memories into what I want them to be... giving me a perfect world, but it would only be a copy."

Luna seemed unaffected. Merely admitting, "They will indeed be only Echoes of your loved ones. But they will still be part of them. A slither of their soul, much like yourself..."

Susan was in deep thought. "I will only give you in invitation to enter, if you swear to me you will work with Gallifrey, from it's conception, to give it a better future. I don't want a false reality."

Luna looked intrigued, "You wish for me to manually guide history?"

"As an interdimensional being, you can affect the past, to alter the present. I know you don't have the power, to snap your fingers, and change history... but you can manually guide things."

"You can morph all of Gallifrey, into my own ideal world. I know that is asking a lot. So... I am open to negotiation." trying to sound proper.

Luna eyed the girl a moment. "I want every Gallifreyian, that achieves the rank of 'Time Lord', to aid me in my quest to protect the multiverse. I want them to work with me, in this."

"That's asking a lot," Susan gulped.

"It is equal payment." Luna eased. "I am not asking for their service, but rather, their aid. I merely wish to be allies."

Luna... extended her hand. Before the blue woman calmly asked. "Do we have a deal?"

Susan, momentarily, worried she'd regret this. But accepted the hand... and by extension the bargain.

Groaning, Susan woke up the following morning... decades earlier. Back in their 8 year old body, the very day after they chose their name. Only to find, "I'M A BOY!"

More worried he'd used up a regeneration, then changed genders. After all, with how regeneration worked, all Gallifreyians were gender fluid.

"Yes, Sorry about that," a voice spoke from nowhere. "It seems the interdimensional changes had more side effects then we anticipated... the strain killed you. But thankfully your body adapted to the upgrade, in your current face."

Susan reached out with his mental senses, and found the source of the voice.

A tiny fairy, took that as his cue to appear. "I'm surprised you aren't surprised by your appearance. Just curious about the Switch in gender."

Susan tilted his head, finding the changes more superficial.

While he remained mostly smooth, hairless, his lower legs were now covered in a thick oranges coat of fur. With an extra bend, like a horse's back legs. Where his feet had turned into blue hooves.

He had also grown a fluffy orange fox tail, with a blue back. While he had Saiyan like quills for head hair. But colored a matching orange, while fading to blue towards the top.

Then large fox ears, too big for his head... but that was probably due to age. He hoped he grew into them. Using his higher senses, he could see them, despite not having a mirror. They were orange, with blue fur inside.

Then he had a sickly paleness, to his naturally tanned skin... easily the most normal thing about him. As he looked to have an almost Hispanic skin tone, that rarely saw the sun.

His eyes took up a third of his head... and were green, fading to red... like a mango.

Finally he had claw-like fingers... which he accidentally scratched himself with... they were quite sharp..

Susan shrugged. "These are all just throwback genes. Due to altering my genetics, to make me part fae."

Such changes usually occur gradually, to those that weren't naturally descended from a royal. As Constant exposure to fairy magic, could turn one into a fairy.

Luna appeared too eager for the changes to happen, and forced her fae genes into him... he's lucky the act didn't burn out both his hearts.

Susan stopped looking over his new body, and calmly acknowledged. "I take it your my new Fairy Godparent? Can't imagine Luna would just give me 'such an honor', then leave me to my own devices."

The tiny blue being, adjusted his monocle, smiling widely. "Can't beat good old Gallifreyian education.

"That's right young master, I'm your Fairy Godparent, and while we usually insist on keeping my existence secret. Luna is waving that condition

"On account Gallifreyians already know about the fae, and don't care. Your people don't seek to exploit our power. As your magics are already on par with our own."

Susan nodded, trying to stand, but wobbly fell back on the bed.

"Rest, regeneration can be hard on the body," The little Fairy insisted.

Susan obeyed... as they were one for obedience... despite now being a bit of a show off, with his knowledge.

Regeneration was funny like that. Gallifreyians gain a new personality, to go with their new face.
