Chapter 22 : The Truth of the Child

Xent was forced to take a while in his bath under the direct care of Suicune and Verna, and there were more then just a few shouts about things, one very loud, but Mewtwo assured them that the no one would be coming to Xent's aid, that this was his problem and his problem alone.

By the time that he done though, John had returned with costumes, the problem with the eastern gate apparently a lot bigger then he though and some of the castle guards themselves, including a few much higher ranking had come to intervene. This allowed John to return to his duties as their escort for the day, and he even brought some small snacks while he was at it.

While Sarah took her bath, Verna was there forcing Xent along every step of the way, having teleported his bag somewhere else, leaving only Xent with his best set of boxers to wear until he was dressed properly in costume. Although Thomas noticed Xent's body was covered in scars, he made no mention of them or even seemed to care, instead focusing on the clothing. Thomas was quick to find something to his liking, a set of merchants clothing with a large hat and cowl that he took a liking to.

As he held it up, Radara was quick to agree to the outfit, the blues would look nice on him even if it wasn't a full and proper traditional outfit, and he would easily wear it well. There was some discussion about the choice of fabric for the outfit, but it was lost on Xent as Radara and Thomas discussed the evolution of clothing over the past thousand years and what some of their favorite types of outfits were.

Xent however was just slowly working his way through the rack that were for his size, about twenty different outfits from the royal castle that were offered to him to wear for the festival. There were some nobleman outfits, and Xent immediately rejected them on the large leggings, and he hated the idea of the overly bright colors like gold, which was on over half the outfits.

Before he could to the end though, an "extra" outfit that didn't appear to be there was suddenly forced upon him. Something "invisible" grabbed his arm and pulled it back, and instantly upon knowing what was going on, Verna turned to help, forcing Xent's arms back as he yelled out again. "What. HEY! NO!" He screamed in anger and annoyance, the tunic for a knight was forced on him, and then tied up quickly as Verna moved to help using her hands to tie the string up proper, and then smooth it out while she forced Xent to stay still.

Zia quickly revealed herself now, holding the pants and Verna lifted Xent up for Zia to put them on as he snarled now. "I'm commanding you both to stop this right now!" He screamed out, but Mewtwo just shook his head, ensuring that no one was listening outside, that Xent's screams of defiance went entirely unheard and would not draw a scene.

Just like before, Verna used her hands to sort out the pants and smooth them down, making sure they would fit proper and look nice, before at last setting him down, and pulling up a large mirror for him to look himself over. Zia was quickly pretty much drooling now, just looking on in awe and a fair bit giddy about seeing Xent so well cleaned up and looking nice and proper. For a small instance, the mirror changed, and showed the knightly outfit in a changed color scheme as though it were inspired by a zoroark now and she had to wipe her nose from the small red drop was the coming out of it, Xent going a bit red and just glaring at both Verna and Zia in silent fury.

'Do you need a room?' Radara asked taking a moment to look over at them, the comment prompting Thomas to pause, then slowly turn and look at them seeing Zia with the small nose bleed.

"I need to cut back their spending money!" Xent snapped a bit, Zia giving a loud whine now, Verna looking quickly offended. Zia had to wipe her nose from a bit of blood again, only to try and give some puppy eyes, but Xent just make sure to speak up louder. "For three months."

At this however, Verna was heavily insulted, and teleported behind him, grabbing a hat and some shoulder armor, forcing that onto him, then dashing around in front of him again and taking some pictures, of both him and the mirror and its illusionary form, Zia's power now showing in full as the phone Verna was using actually caught the illusion in its photo. 'Hey, I was trying to help! Well, fine. But I'm keeping these images. Its the only time you'll ever clean up proper.'

"Six months!" Xent stated firmly now.

'Two... and these don't end up on social media.' Verna stated, halfway stamping her foot. 'You were out refusing to stay safe right now and Thomas needs to go the castle, so that means you do too.'

"Delete those photos and we'll agree to four months. Post it and its a year. Zia, stop her and you'll get her spending money plus yours." Xent quickly stated his voice still very cold, still very much angry about everything, Thomas just trying to block it all out.

Radara however had enough as she turned towards Xent. 'They both get their full allowance as of next month and you will join us at the castle. Consider this your personal punishment for going out of your way to stalk me and my brother as well as forcing your way into our problems and more. '

"She is deleting those photos and I'm taking off this armor, then fine." Xent tried to state, only for Radara to shake her head.

'Shall I make you pose for them while your at it?' Radara countered, knowing she would already win as Thomas just shook his head a bit, merely setting the merchant costume to the side, just waiting on Sarah to finish. 'We need to get into the castle, Thomas's foster family is there and they will kind of be stuck there for a few days on the grounds of business, leaving little time for Thomas to discuss this matter with them, and time is something that we do not have at the moment. You tried to very clearly run from this, and you were looking for any excuse to turn down every outfit there is.'

"Can we all just stop acting so childish right now..." Thomas started, only for Xent to just ignore him along with everyone else.

"She deletes the photos and I'll go." Xent started, ready to try and challenge Radara, only for the door to the back to open, Sarah walking in, fully dressed in a very bright blue noblewoman's dress. While not the most fancy of dresses, she clearly stood out heavily with its full gown and long sleeves, her hair braided up and just hanging lightly over her shoulder.

As she walked in, Verna just started at her and her face seemed to redden a bit. "Oh... Xent you look very nice, that look suits you well." Sarah said with a small smile, the look just nice on her and even Thomas had to admit that she looked good.

With Verna distracted however, Xent just snatched the phone from Verna and quickly deleted the images. Radara quickly turned back to Xent and just glared at him. 'They get their full allowance next month, no arguments.' Radara stated firmly, before walking away, just jumping up on the sofa and taking a seat.

"Suicune really knows how to help clean you up and make it so gentle and easy, and you look wonderful for it Xent. I knew there was a nice looking trainer under all that dirt." Sarah smiled, really trying to be nice.

"I'll be back in a few... Please don't kill each other." Thomas stated, walking past Sarah and then out the back, where Suicune was waiting in the water him. "I think this is going to be a long long journey until the knights forget me again..." Thomas said, just rubbing Suicune's head a bit.

~xXx~

It didn't take long for Thomas to get dressed himself and by the time he was done, John had knocked to let them know Cameran Castle was now open for the evening festivities. John had even arranged for a carriage to take them up the castle so they wouldn't get their fancier costumes dirty when they were finally ready. Each of them had also chosen their two pokemon to accompany them, and they were all wearing a trainer's bracket hidden under their sleeves to carry the two pokeballs each, and they each had a pouch to hold their pokedex and other "modern" items to make it feel more real for the festival.

Thomas going with Radara and Juno, Radara out at his side thankfully due to her small size. Sarah had chosen her starter Grover who was her best fighting pokemon, and Serenity her dragonair because how could she not go to a castle without her most prized pokemon, the one who put so much work into being such a great contest pokemon. Xent however had to make a hard choice, but in the end ultimately decided on Zia and Verna because those two were the ones he could trust if something went wrong, even if he hated them at the moment. Mewtwo of course pointed out that Xent trying to sneak in a few other things, but he was forced to give it up with a loud cry of psychics being bullshit.

The carriage was a quick ride to the castle bridge, and there was a quick check over them, but being a royal guest, they were of course given special treatment and moved along quickly after a thorough search, but Xent wasn't able to sneak anything past Mewtwo, not that it mattered given that the Royal Guard all had metal detectors and trained psychic pokemon themselves. Xent quickly grumbled about all of this once more, but a look from Radara told him to keep quiet as they were allowed into the castle grounds, John still leading them along.

Taking the main entrance, they were easily guided to the central courtyard were some trainers were already getting set for the first of the sponsored battles, this one between Silph Co. and some their sponsored trainers, and Sinnoh's Poketch Company and their sponsored trainers. Devon Corp would be showing off a bit later in the evening, meaning that Thomas had a bit of time to talk with his parents before they were needed again, and John of course lead him right to them.

Andrew and Vivian were equally well dressed up for the occasion themselves, Andrew in a royal guard's outfit, a bright blue and black outift that looked just a bit goofy on him, clearly having fun with it. It wasn't a proper Aura Guardian's outfit, but it was close enough though and Andrew was just having fun with it. Vivian had gone a different route though, wearing a full on royal gown, silver and red with a small crown on her head, a very large dress. Up until now, he had Radara hiding his scars and bruises, it easy to make others think that he was just fine. As he approached Andrew and Vivian, Radara finally let the mental images fade away.

"Sir Andrew and Maiden Vivian, the young lord Thomas wishes to be allowed entry to your party." John said, clearly hamming it up a bit himself and both quickly turned, only to give Thomas a very worried look, Vivian moving up quickly and looking over his face, his left eye still appearing a bit bruised, along with most of his most of his left cheek.

"I'm fine, trust me. Its no where near as bad as it looks." Thomas stated before either of them could say a thing, John quickly doing a double take as the suddenly now bruised Thomas. "There are somethings that we need to talk about, but we really need to do this privately." Thomas said looking to John. "Is there a spare balcony or room nearby that I can talk with my parents in?"

"The upper most floors around the courtyard are usually quite, most people try to be as close to the party as they can be... My sincerest apologies sir, I don't know how I missed your condition..." John stated, a bit ashamed of himself.

"Its okay, you weren't meant to know. My espeon helped people just ignore the bruises so people don't ask questions. This was just something that my parents needed to know about." Thomas said, as he turned to follow John.

"No, no you're not fine, what happened?" Vivian quickly stated, hurrying along now, over the initial shock and very worried. Andrew just followed in silence for a moment though, thinking back to some of the calls that he had with Thomas, and now very vividly remembering that Thomas had mentioned that Team Rocket was involved with Mewtwo. He would give Thomas a chance to explain though before speaking himself though.

"Can we get some tea or something please. I have a lot of talking to do and something to drink may help with this long talk." Thomas asked, John giving a nod.

"We'll get you a small pot of tea and some cups to share." John said, motioning for one of the royal staff to come over.

-x-

Up on one of the balconies over looking the main festival dance, a small party waiting for a few sponsored battles to start, Andrew and Vivian had finally found a quite isolated place for them to talk, but still be close enough to do their part of the upcoming sponsored battles. It had taken several minutes for John to find a place that wasn't occupied, but he was taking the extra time to do his job now and follow the request, before taking his leave and taking Sarah and Xent back down to the main floor.

"So... what is so important that you had to have us had find a quiet spot... and can you please tell me whats with all these bruises. You're sure your not hurt too badly?" Vivian asked now, taking a seat at a table that was there, Andrew doing the same as Thomas moved to join them.

"Yeah, I just took a fall... well a big fall." Thomas said taking his own seat and pulling up a chair beside him to give Radara a seat at his side.

"Clearly nothing too serious. I mean you're still walking fine right? You didn't break anything do you." Vivian asked.

"You're sure it was just a fall? It has nothing to do with Team Rocket?" Andrew asked, Thomas just shaking his head and giving a small smile, but Vivian was quickly horrified.

"What do you mean Team Rocket? Why would you ask that?" Vivian quickly asked. She was quickly looking back and forth between Andrew and Thomas now.

"No. No this wasn't them, but they... We'll get to that later, there's something more important I need to say first. My and Radara need to say thank you. Thank you so much for these past eighteen years. They will always mean a lot to us, more then you may ever come to realize. You never once hid the fact that I was adopted by you and I thank you for that too, but the truth is that I've known entirely about my real family since I was nine, and I awoke to my true blood." Thomas started, reaching into the pouch the held his pokedex and a few other things, including an image of his past life, one of the few images that his "father" had taken with the Falstons when they had just first met, and just held it for a few.

The face while a little bit older was clearly of his biological father, his former life and like all of his lives, he held the same features, the eyes, the facial structure, even the same blue tints to his hair. "I don't just look like Jackson Shigami, I am him. His memories, his life, his abilities, everything he was, I am... and under your guidance, I am now more. I'll cherish you as my family for centuries and lives to come." He said, holding up the photo beside his face and letting them see how just much they matched up.

"Thomas... you've hit your head far too hard. Surely this fall was much worse then you think." Vivian stated after a long silence, just looking to Thomas. Sure the photo of Jackson right beside Thomas's face was a near perfect match, but it wasn't that uncommon for a child to look like his real parents, and Vivian never tried to deny that Thomas was adopted, so of course he could look a lot like his biological father.

"The fall that did this to me should have been fatal yes, but I'm recovering quickly. In few more days, I won't even have these." Thomas said, letting go of the image, but it just stayed in place as Thomas motioned lightly to the scars on his face now. "It was... a hundred, maybe a hundred and fifty feet? If I was anywhere else but at the exact spot that it happened, yes I might have died, but I'm fine now. Radara, Juno, and especially Suicune are all looking after me. I'll recover quickly at this point."

"What?!" Vivian's eyes widened quickly at the mention of the height of the fall even ignoring the mention of Suicune, but Radara just helped make sure that they were not too loud eitherway as to draw undo attention but Andrew was more focused on the photo now. Vivian however was now heavily debating making a call to a hospital however in her doubt.

"I told you... I'm fine. It was over five days ago and I'm walking and feeling better every day." Thomas said, giving a smile.

"You're... psychic, like Sabrina of the Saffron City Gym, or possibly Mrs. Jones from the HR department. That's... a powerful gift you have. I guess that helps explain why you were always so good with pokemon, and how you could survive a fall like that." Andrew stated, Vivian now quickly noticing the photo by his head, which was no longer in his hand.

"Thomas is psy... psychic?" Vivian noticed now, only to smile and give a loud breath of relief starting to think up her own story. "That's what you mean, that your just psychic, like Jackson right?"

"I am so much more then that. Me and my sister Radara, we are direct descendants of Arceus, The World Mother herself. We have lived over three thousand years, across thirty-three lives, born again anew every one hundred and twenty years, always together, never apart. We're twins actually, and we can never be truly separated." Thomas stated, looking over to Radara and giving her a slow rub down her back.

'It is a pleasure to finally speak to the two of you, Andrew and Vivian Falston. My brother is much better off in this life because of the two of you, and the lessons you taught him early in his rebirth.' Radara said now, for the first time fully speaking to the two of them, both just slowly looking to Radara as she leaned up, barely putting her front toes on the table, and then giving a very clear bow to the two of them.

"She can speak?" Vivian asked slowly, this all quickly starting to stack up for her.

"Just... how powerful are you truly to speak like this?" Andrew asked. "Have you always been able to speak... were you listening in on everything around you?"

'I learn how to speak fully by the time I am three usually, but this type of psychic telepathy is unique to my body now. I find the form an espeon rather pleasant, but other lives I have chosen other forms of the eevee family.' Radara continued. 'I have heard everything around me, and I have understood it. But do not worry, I shall not share any secrets that should not be shared.'

Andrew just nodded, now looking back to Thomas. "And you've known this for a while. Can you just talk to any pokemon?"

Thomas just laughed a bit, smiling widely now as he nodded lightly. "Yes. I can talk to almost any pokemon, but its easier if Radara translates for me at the moment. By the time I turn twenty-seven, I'll be able to speak all languages, including human and pokemon ones as though its just natural for me, and anyone I need to can understand me then too. Its just one of my true mother's gifts to me, like my psychic type abilities, but its not all of them."

"I'm sorry for hiding all of this from you both though, I was just worried about everything, and there is so much to try and explain, and just..." Thomas started again, but quickly lost it.

'What my brother is trying to say is thank you for everything, and we apologize for keeping this a secret for so long. The end of his former life was coming up fast and the man you knew as Jackson knew that he would be dying soon and he needed a place to be raised again, to start life anew. And together, we choose the two of you. You were trying for a child for a long time, and everyone is Rustboro seemed to know about your injury. We could do nothing to help that, but everyone also knew what kind of people the two of you were.' Radara explained.

'Jackson made friends with you with the intent to see if you could give his early life what he would need the most. An innocent childhood, free of duty to blood, a chance to learn and live life as a child. There are lessons that can only be learned by children and my brother learned them and more from you.' Radara continued.

Vivian just looked on confused unable to make much sense of anything that was being said, but Andrew was starting to get rather fascinated. "So... why are you telling us this now? You seem worried about something."

Thomas just smiled a bit, giving a small nod. "I... wish you had not asked that yet." He said looking down to Radara some, lightly rubbing her ears before looking back to his foster parents. "I'll explain my real worries later. For now, just let me... enjoy this while I can please."

"Of course, I'm sure this is as hard for you as it is for us." Andrew stated, Vivian still looking on confused.

"Do... I... Can you show us any... any proof?" Vivian asked, still worried heavily now, unsure how to take this news though, and more so worried heavily that something had happened to her son even more. Sure, Radara could... talk now, but claiming to be the child of a pokemon that was thought to only be a rumor, far more of a religious icon then truth concerned her.

"I have some, but nothing true that I can show you here. I can show you this though, if you trust me." Thomas said, offering his hands to them both, Andrew quickly Thomas's hand and then helping Vivian to do the same.

Closing his eyes and concentrating with Radara's help, he started to share an image with them, a large open chamber of sorts, welcoming and homely, a cave with a meadow within, filled with hundreds of glowing crystals of all kinds. "This is the family who raised me in my first life, my mother and elder brothers and sisters." Thomas said softly, the image of Arceus appearing in the center, and then all of the legendary pokemon, and finally what looked some humans and other pokemon, the god-children appearing. They all held smiles, they were all welcoming, at peace and kind.

It was a powerful image, far more then just a mere mental image. It held natural emotions, Thomas's and Radara's emotions within that were shared as well, of a welcoming and happy time, so peaceful and at ease. It was one of the few times that all of the legendaries were all gathered together, that the entire family that Thomas knew and was part of was all in one place. It was a time of peace, when they were all welcomed and the world was happy with them.

It brought a smile to his face recalling that day, even Radara thinking fondly of that day, and to share it felt nice given who it was being shared with. "This is my birth family, those who raised me in my first life, my elder brothers and sisters, and my personal brothers and sisters. Where my elder brothers and sisters have been around for tens of thousands of years, my kind, the god-children as we came to be called, are still young by comparison. We were first born with the purpose of helping to bring the different cultures of the world together... or at least stop any major wars from starting, mostly those between different species." Thomas explained as he opened his eyes and looked to Andrew and Vivian again.

"The idea was that if me and Radara, two very different looking species could get along, but were even brother and sister that relied on each other that we share this idea of attempting to get along with each other with others. The world is a big place, and there is room for everyone after all." Thomas explained.

'Free will is something that was given to many species, more than just humans. We were given life long after the others had been given life and free will before us, but our journey was one to practice peace. Its been a strange journey through our lives, but such is the passage of time. Thomas has had many families help raise his new life, but you have been the best family he has ever had, and the he has needed most.' Radara said, looking up to Thomas and then to Andrew and Vivian.

"I... I see?" Vivian said, still concerned and looking to him, a bit more open minded now, but just so confused and uncertain about everything. "But what about all of these bruises. Surely you can't really be as fine as you say. A-And a hundred foot fall?"

"I'm fine, I really am." Thomas said, in some ways happy that this was the outcome, they were still so worried about him, they had to care, even if it was clear that Vivian perhaps didn't believe him properly at the moment.

"I was up in the mountains looking for a temple site that my true mother had made for us in secret. Mewtwo, a new pokemon that was just recently given life found images of a temple site that was left open to the world and I intended to just go shut the door and leave. Since I didn't know where it was properly though, I had to go search for it the hard way and while looking for it, the ancient path I was taking just kinda gave way underfoot. The waters around the temple were given life in some ways to help protect the place if needed and they caught me. They also saved all of my pokeballs that came off during the fall." Thomas explained.

'Yes, it was bad, but the temple also gave Thomas the power he needed to survive. If you were classify Thomas like you would the different elemental types of pokemon, Thomas was given the gifts of both Psychic and Electric, and while he cannot use all such type matching abilities, or moves as you call them, he can use Recover. With the temple bolstering his abilities, he was never in danger of dying from that fall while in our temple.' Radara added.

"And... and you just... evolved when you were nine? Just gaining these abilities?" Andrew asked, but Thomas just shook his head.

"While Radara does evolve in the sense of changing form and gaining some things from it, as direct descendants of Arceus, our real evolution into adulthood takes place over almost eleven years. She can often evolve into one of her evolved forms before then, but even if she doesn't, the powers of our legendary blood manifest as so much more. It will be another two years before my changes run their full course and I really only look human to walk among the human cultures and more. Ours is a slow change, so we don't accidentally hurt ourselves or others while we are too young to understand them." Thomas continued and he held up his hands now, a small spark dancing between his palms, but quietly and controlled to demonstrate.

"We evolve in the say the legendaries do, slowly and carefully. Normally, the legendaries would teach themselves, their older life would live some years after rebirth to help teach them how to be themselves, to control their abilities and perform their worldly duties. Me and Radara have each other though, and we help teach other all that we need to know." He continued, slowly looking back to them.

'Once more, we are sorry for never sharing this sooner, but we had our reasons. Thomas was scared, and I knew of the risks myself. It was always his choice though, and I have always tried to respect his decisions. There are some I have forced him to reconsider, but he is usually always good about thinking of others first.' Radara said.

"I see... and I guess I'll trust you now. Why should this be any different then any time before, you're still my son. I'm sure we'll all need time to understand this an-" Andrew started, only for someone to start approaching, Radara giving a small hiss.

'Eric is coming... and he has a temper with him today.' Radara started, looking towards the passage where one of the royal guards along with Andrew's father was coming, the guard pointing them out and then heading back down the stairs.

Eric approached, dressed in the traditional garb of the Aura Guardians, of course acting high and mighty as he approached. "So, the pokephiliac comes to see his parents again? Are you looking for permission to breed your pokemon at home?"

"Those would be bold claims for someone with no evidence, whose been practicing that lie in a mirror among a dozen others just try and get back at me for the fact that you failed to hit me last time we met..." Thomas stated, just full on reading his mind now. "Perhaps some tea would calm that attitude you have." Thomas didn't even hide his abilities now, at least for them as he looked to the tea that was given to them.

His eyes gave off a soft glow as he looked at Eric, one of the cups quickly moving over, flipping itself over to be standing proper and then the tea pot they had lifted itself up and began to pour some tea into the cup before moving over in front of Eric.

"You claim to be so much better and yet you still make your pokemon perform such simple tasks." Eric stated, trying to swat away the tea, but his hand quickly met a solid barrier.

'I have no intentions of allowing myself to offer refreshments to a self severing arrogant ass who has attempted to hit me on multiple occasions. This is all my brother's doing, its his power offering an attempt at peace, not mine.' Radara quickly stated, quickly and disgustedly turning her head away from Eric, Eric just looking around a bit for the source of the voice, not realizing that it was in his head.

"Thomas does appear to be psychic, like Sabrina and some other people, including his father." Vivian stated, still watching the cup that was now just set down at the table, a chair moving from a table next to them to be offered to Eric, Thomas trying to be civil at the moment knowing that Eric would learn of this one way or another.

"More tricks to get into your heads no doubt." Eric stated, just reaching over for his own chair. "Just like how he never told you that he intended to risk your jobs for his own personal gain by trying to sell that fancy prototype pokedex of his to some other trainer."

"What? I have a hard time believing this." Andrew stated.

"Why, I was sent up here to talk with you and make sure the that boy was really here. Can't have him escaping his duties if he's going to take a job for once. Indigo Industries, currently paired with Silph Co. have decided to talk with Devon Corp about a sponsored battle between sponsored trainers. And since I happen to know the lazy brat personally, I thought it best to make sure he shows up for his battle this evening since he happens to be here." Eric stated rather smugly now. "It will be good for him to get a lesson in losing and to take responsibility for things for once."

Andrew just looked to Thomas at Eric, reading his mind only to scowl a bit and drop his head. "Remember when I arrived in Rustboro City for my birthday and I told you about that trainer who confronted me about the BW 450 model of pokedex." Thomas stated, seeing the other problem Eric's face, Eric Indigo in Eric Falston's mind.

"And surely you didn't give him yours." Vivian stated wanting to believe Thomas first right now, but still worried about a lot of things, just very confused.

"No, but he found me again in Goldenrod City and confronted me hard about how it was his anyway in front of Sarah. Said it was his rite to have it and show it off before a battle that he said I owe him because he was very clearly trying to stalk me." Thomas grumbled a bit.

'Rest assured, Thomas would not endanger your jobs, he's far too good a boy for that. My brother would never use something like that to gain a profit off of something he did not earn. Just because this annoying boy was literately handed everything in life and thinks everyone will just hand over whatever he wants does not mean that Thomas would even think about giving away something that wasn't his, much less to someone who doesn't ask, but makes a point to take things.' Radara stated again, Eric once again looking around.

"Boy must be smoking something too, I keep hearing strange things. Wouldn't surprise me if he was partaking of something." Eric stated.

'And that is enough out of you. If you can't say something nice, you'll say nothing at all for the rest of the day.' Radara stated, her eyes and head jewel flashing as Eric finally got the idea and opened his mouth only for nothing to come out at all, just sitting there and staying silent only to realize that he couldn't speak.

"You... are far more powerful then I ever gave you credit for... I always knew you were a league level pokemon, but this, this is something else entirely." Andrew stated, unsure what to think right now. On the one hand, he was impressed with Radara's approach to things, a non-violet approach and he was also clearly trying to keep himself respectable even though his father was still very clearly angry about their last meeting.

On the other hand, it was still his father and he was trying to at least stay civil with Eric. Even if they didn't agree on a lot of things, and he was the best father, Eric was still his father at the end of the day and didn't really do anything truly wrong. It wasn't like he was abusive and his mother did love the man for some reason, always ready to try and defend him.

'Its a mere extra mental filter based upon intention. If he intends to insult someone, rather anyone or anything for that matter, he'll find that he just cannot speak. It will wear off in time, after he sees natural light after he sleeps. Until such a time however, he'll find that his speech is tied to his ability to remain civilized and not attempt to speak ill of things.' Radara stated, Eric starting to catch on and maybe get the idea that it was Radara.

He quickly attempted to grab her, but found his fist connecting with a field of power, stopping him from even approaching Radara at all. 'I've never let you hit me before, why would you expect me to allow you to even touch me now.' Radara stated rather calmly, still refusing to even look at Eric.

As Andrew just looked in and Vivian looked on in confusion, a ringing now drew their attention, Andrew pulling his pokephone from his pocket and quickly answering it. "Afternoon Derek, is there a problem?" Andrew asked, giving a worried look now.

"People asking about Thomas, saying he was involved in a kidnapping? Well yes, I know this is a lie, I'm here with Thomas and just saw Sarah, she's clearly not kidnapped at all. Wait, what do you mean not the first phone call about him." Andrew started, a few pauses here and there giving Thomas a far more worried look, Vivian getting just as worried now, but Eric looked on with interest.

"I'll call you back about this, I'm with Thomas right now and we'll discuss this. Thank you for keeping me involved." Andrew stated, finally hanging up.

"I see I won't have the chance to enjoy this... No, I wasn't lying about my age, I really am over three thousands years old. In that time, I've had many families and many friends, but there are also those who would call me their enemy because I am different, and they refused to believe me when I say that I am a child of Arceus herself." Thomas sighed, before taking another sip of his tea.

"If they say I have kidnapped someone, then this would be the so called Knights of Arceus, and why I'm here, talking about this. I'm sorry for everything, but by just existing, by allowing you to raise me, I've inadvertently put you in danger and I'm sorry. The knights are a very religious order who think that me and my sister are demons, who intend to enslave Arceus for evil purposes. They will come forth and talk with you, lying and saying whatever they can to try and make you think that I am not the boy you raised, that you never raised a child at all, that my entire childhood of being raised by you was fabricated and never happened." Thomas started.

"And when they cannot lie to you any longer, they will try to tell you their idea that I am a demon, intent to cause trouble and more, that I can only be evil and that I must be killed to save this world. Their order was born of jealousy and misunderstanding, and I've tried to reason with them in the past, but they refuse to listen. The only way that I can protect you now, is if I leave and... and hide from the world once more until they lose track of me again. Suicune will travel with me because she thinks of herself my a second mother for myself, and Sarah wants to help me." Thomas continued.

"The truth of what I do is that I've been helping keeping the balance of the world. My older brothers and sisters, my true family are the legendaries. I was born to be the bridge between pokemon and humans, to help encourage peace and balance, but then came a time of troubles of my elder brothers and sisters, our mother too, they all had to sacrifice some of their power. Since then, I've been helping to protect the legendaries from being captured. Each of them have a vital role in the world and they must continue that role or the world will fall into disorder and unnatural disasters would become common place. I would never stop my elder sister from fulfilling her role, but others try to enslave them, to abuse their power or worse, keep them from performing their duties in the world." Thomas said looking down, Radara just nodding.

'We wish we had more time, but soon, people will come looking for us, and they will hurt others who try to get in their way to kill us. Such is the power of religious zealotry. I assure you that the fault is entirely their own, their founder used a family matter to declare war on our kind and have since refused any sense of reason.' Radara stated looking to Thomas who nodded some.

"I will be forced to leave soon, and when I do, I will have to stay hidden for a while. Sarah will also have to leave as well for her own safety. I tried to push her away before she could put herself in danger, but she refused and then Suicune asked her to stay at my side... and now I have to protect her. I just ask that you remember me as the child you helped to raise." Thomas said.

"And... where will you go?" Andrew asked, concerned like Vivian was, a bit confused himself, but trusting his son. Vivian though just looked on worried and confused, but unhappy and starting to question a lot of things.

"Honestly, I don't know. Its also probably best if we decide after we part. The knights are all over Japan, but what I've glimpsed of them recently on part of Mewtwo makes me think that their Johto group is not playing nice with the others... and Team Rocket does know that I saved Mewtwo from them now, and that I have Suicune at my side, so its probably best if I leave the Kanto and Johto Regions soon. Japan is a big place and there are always places to go, I'll figure out something." Thomas explained.

"Please, come home. This isn't right, and surely you need to a doctor." Vivian stated, just having too much trouble trying to understand everything fully. "It has to be safest for you there right?"

"I truly wish I could, but it will be safer if I don't. No matter how badly I want it, I couldn't stay home forever anyway. Much like Suicune has some things do to in the world, there are some things I have to do. While the legendaries are strong on their own, they are weakened, not at their full power. I've already aided Mew once since I was home last, and now I need to help Mewtwo learn of the world, and eventually find his own place within it. There is still so much I have to do and I can't just abandon my duties." Thomas said and he looked down a bit, really wanting to go back home with them, explain them to more fully what he was.

'It is not a happy choice, but it is the right choice. Just know that I will keep my brother safe, and Suicune will also help at any time as well.' Radara said as used her tail to rub Thomas's shoulders a bit. 'And I know sense another approaching... Mr. Brakins.'

Coming up the stairs now, dressed in just a rather elaborate princely outfit standing out as much as he did when Thomas had met him at the Falston Estate on his birthday was Mr. Chan Brakins, who seemed to be in quite a good mood as he approached.

"Well, it would appear that the rumors I heard were right. Welcome once again Thomas, I hope the day finds you well. Afternoon Mr. Falston Senior." Mr. Brakins stated, nodding to Eric who was still silent, biting his tongue now unable to stay civil. "Andrew, Vivian, good afternoon as well. I do hope I'm not interrupting, but Silph Co. just approached me with an interesting off. They'd like to host a sponsored battle from one of their partner corporations, Indigo Industries."

"Yes, I'm sure they would. The son of their CEO, Eric something has been stalking me ever since I was in Rustboro City about trying to forcibly acquire one of the BW 450 models. And he is now trying to force a sponsored battle between himself and me over who has the right to the model you let me test." Thomas sighed loudly just turning to face Mr. Brakins at last.

"Thomas... are you alright?" Mr. Brakins quickly stated, giving a worried look.

"He just took a nasty fall a few days ago on his way here. He's fine, there's no need for worry. It just looks a lot worse then it is." Andrew quickly stated now, Thomas giving a small smile and nodding.

"And... what's this about Eric Indigo trying to forcibly acquire one of the BW 450 models?" Mr. Brakins asked now.

"Eric Indigo confronted me the morning that I arrived back in Rustboro City last time I was there before my birthday about about getting one. I told him no a few times, he ignored me, made a bunch of claims about how because he was going to be champion and it was an exotic model, he wanted one and tried to challenge me to a battle then, and if he won, I would have to get him one because of who my parents were. Then about a week ago, he forced his way into an private club that a friend of mine invited me to and confronted me hard there about how because I didn't give him it in the first place, but had one then, it was his anyway and then demanded an apology and the pokedex before I had a battle with him." Thomas explained.

"Well... I can say that its not like you to do something like that from what I've heard in the labs or offices. Your parents and others from Devon Corp who have met you always talk about how polite and nice you are... It does fit his actions though, I have heard some unsavory things about him..." Mr. Brakins stated, a hand on his chin as he thought about it some. "You do have some proof you can offer about this claim?"

"I can't say I have anything for when he confronted me the first time, but my friend Sarah is here right now and she can tell you about how aggressive he was with at that private club that he tricked the clerk into letting him into just to confront me." Thomas said.

"Well... I trust you wouldn't be lying... It could also be the best way for you to confront him though if you wanted to battle him, but now hearing all this and seeing how angry Eric was to battle you, he certainly made it seem like he had a grudge against you." Mr. Brakins said as he looked over the edge of the balcony towards the arena where the last of the round of the current sponsored battles was finishing up.

"You would be required to take a few sponsored battles from time if you've decided to accept the sponsorship, but I'll leave this one up to you. I could shut it down on the grounds of Eric Indigo clearly being a much higher ranked Trainer then yourself, but if you feel confident, I could allow it. It would be the fastest way to publicly show your skill over him, but it also might make him hold quite the grudge. I could also postpone it if you wanted given your... fall. That really does look bad, are you sure about it being fine." Mr. Brakins stated, still clearly thinking, but now looking to Thomas.

"I'm more then confident about my pokemon, Juno and Radara alone could defeat any team of pokemon he could have in a regulation battle, but I'm afraid that I will have to decline your offer for a sponsorship. As much as I want it, I've recently come into some other obligations that I have to take care of first and I don't know how long those would take me to do." Thomas said, Radara just helping gently push the conversation along with Mr. Brakins.

"I don't know how long this would take... but it could be a while. I also don't know when I'll be able to head back to the Hoenn Region, so I may not even be report in for notes on the BW 450 in the first place. I know I need to make a stop in Sinnoh at some point, but beyond that, I'm not sure where I'll end up to be honest. Would you like the pokedex back now?" Thomas asked, ready to return it and head back to his older Hoenn model if needed, just using the chance to try and take care of a few things now while he could easily and in person.

"No... No, I'm going to insist you keep that. You still saved Hanna, and we're all in agreement that you deserved something. Its a shame about you having to turn down the offer of a sponsorship however and I'm curious about these other obligations, but your parents haven't spoken up about it, so I'll trust that you know what you are doing." Mr. Brakins stated, looking to Andrew and Vivian, Vivian's face still filled with a lot of worry, but Mr. Brakins always knew that Vivian worried a lot about Thomas, but usually trusted him, not seeing the confusion on her face.

"Thanks. Its been really useful so far and I do like it. If I can ever take that sponsorship though, I'll be sure to let you know, but for now, things are just complicated." He said, Eric just glaring at him, and trying to speak again, but once more nothing out even with his exaggerated hand motions."

"Is... there a problem with him?" Mr. Brakins asked, Eric just shaking his fist hard now.

"He kept insulting me and my pokemon and apparently my espeon made it so he couldn't speak unless he was civil about it. I mean we all know he can, he's just really really angry and mean today and can't say anything nice?" Thomas said, Radara quickly nodded.

"O... okay?" Mr. Brakins stated, just confused now, and a bit worried.

"Its not the first time she has done with, and my grandfather really hates eevees and their evolutions for some reason, and he even tried to hit her once since we here. I can't really blame Radara from stopping him from saying anything rude or mean." Thomas said, Mr. Brakins just giving a slight nod.

"If you say so..." He started, only for there to be a bright flash of light in front of him, and Thomas and Radara were just gone, dozens of bright flashes appearing in the center of the arena that all of them had been looking over now.

~xXx~

Suicune smiled as she rubbed Rebecca's side, keeping Rebecca calm while Thomas was at the castle talking with his parents. [Its okay my dear, everything will be fine. The castle has always had rules about guests and the number of pokemon that are allowed to enter the castle. Its to help keep them safe. Cameran Castle has been the site of many battles, they have just grown cautious.] Suicune said, gently nuzzling Rebecca's cheek.

Rebecca felt a little better about things, but she was still worried. Even if Thomas couldn't let her out of her pokeball as much as she wanted, she was at least close by. Now though, she worried about how far Thomas was, she couldn't even feel his aura anymore.

Still, it was nice to have Suicune there caring for her as she rested against her side, just resting against her. She looked up slowly towards Mewtwo was still at his laptop looking over things. As she was about to get up though, there several bright flashes of light and then Suicune was just alone, both Radara and Mewtwo, along with a few other things were just gone.

[Oh no... What has Mew done?] Suicune stated, instantly recognizing the power that had teleported Rebecca and Mewtwo away, along with some the food and other things, before another set of flashes of light swarmed the room again, and Suicune was gone now with a few other things, the rest of the pokeballs just resting there alone in a secure case.
