Episode 2 : Wondercolts Forever . Part 7 , Luna's Birthday .

Rose groaned, dropping into bed after a long day. She wasn't much help, having no magic of her own. With the techno magic club reducing her to fetching and carrying... it been so long... since she felt useless...

"No progress without falling backwards," Luna calmly informed. "You will fail until you succeed."

Rose snorted, "Obviously."

"Your dreams turn sour. You long to be useful, yet feel it is unattainable." Luna observed.

"Sure you can't read minds," Rose rolled her eyes.

Luna spoke seriously, "Reading thoughts is beyond me. I sense dreams, as i have none of my own. As my sister sees potential, for similar reasons. Like with all senses, lacking a cosmic law results in greater awareness of that force... just as Susan has a feel for the chains of fate. We feed, and it let's us grow in power and development. My sister and I, are quite young by fae standards. A measly 42 hundred years. Today, in fact, marks my birthday."

"Happy birthday," Rose was startled to find her words sincere.

"Thank you," Luna smiled. "But unlike mortal birthdays, i do not receive gifts, but rather give them. Once every 42 years, I must give a gift, to one lucky mortal, no strings attached. It's how I maintain the power to exchange boons."

"That's an odd way to celebrate." Rose observe. "Who you planning to 'bless'."

Luna smiled. "You."

Rose sat up, startled. "What!?"

"I can't bless those in my domain. There are rules, passed down by the Omni Verse herself. Rules that cannot be broken, unlike mortal laws. I am compelled to honor them, outside the laws of free will."

"You just happen to be my favorite mortal, I am currently courting. Speak your desire, and I shall grant it."

Rose eyed the fairy suspiciously. "No tricks? No strings? No obligations."

Luna gave a firm nod.

"Why do you want me so badly?" Rose sighed.

"You are the 42nd mortal, to invade Celestia's realm, whom my sister thought worthy of me. While not all agreed to be mine, there have been 42 which I have extended the offer. With this being my 42nd century, my 42nd time I have been required to gift a mortal I'm courting... and the 42nd time I've courted a Doctor's companion."

Rose frowned, "That's a lot of 42's."

Luna nodded, "It is important to pay attention to coincidence. For it, luck, and 42, all are signs of Omniva's interference."

"Omniva?" Rose blinked.

"The soul of all universes. I am but one small part, that makes up her consciousness. As are you. You are a humble antibody. Where I am more a white blood cell. If there is indeed a one true God... Omniva would be it. For our Omni-Verse, at least."

Rose digested this, feeling... incredibly small.

Luna was gently patting her head again... and Rose was too lost in thought to bother pushing her away. The sensation of the large hand, larger then her head, running through her hair... it did feel strangely comforting.

Luna pulled out a purple lily, smelling of sugar and joy. Then held it out to Rose. Whom hesitantly accepted it.

Where Rose couldn't resist "The treat" she was now able to eat it more calmly. Exposed to the sensations of pure happiness so often... she was getting more used to the sensation.

The peddles crunched like candy. With Rose pulling them off one at a time, and calmly nibbling on them. Savoring the sensations of pure happiness.

"I can see what you desire," Luna smiled. "Your dreams speak clearly. Yet I still need your consent before I can give it."

"And what do you think I 'desire'?" While the words were a bit snippy, Rose put no heat behind them. She'd been in Celestia's domain for 10 and a half months now... she was more use to Luna...

"You want magic," Luna smiled. "Oh you could care less about complicated spell casting. But you want to be able to see the flow of magic, and enchant with it. You want the knowledge and skills of a master enchanter. I can give that to you."

Rose gulped, then hesitantly nodded, giving a hesitant "Okay."

Luna smiled, and gently removed the hand petting Rose. Whom put her "treat" on the bedside table. Luna slowly brought her hand to Rose's forehead. Lightly Touching the blonde with a long blue index finger.

Suddenly Rose felt something in her unlock. As her senses expanded into a 6th. Her awareness of the universe became fundamentally changed. Giving The blonde a bit of a head rush.

But Luna remained gentle, even as she quickly opened up Rose's mind to new sensations... the god made sure it wouldn't hurt or overwhelm the champion.

Taking her hand away, Luna smiled at Rose. "You may want to consider going back to the moment Susan agreed to help you. Then You'll be able to use the knowledge you've gained over these past 42 weeks, plus the knowledge I just gave you, to advance your project, without losing so much time. You can take everything you now know, and truly assist."

Rose blinked, realizing she actually could do that. It be as easy as willing herself into the moment. "But, won't we lose all the progress we've made?"

Luna smiled with her usual dignity. "As your powers come from me, I will remember everything we've done over that time. And as Susan is a Time Lord, she too will remember everything."

"He," Rose automatically corrected.

Luna sighed, "Things like Gender do not exist for Royal fae. As we reproduce through a process similar to both mitosis and pollination... it's actually very similar to Bi-Generation, now that I think on it. Only it requires our antibody fae to interact with another royal fae.

"The concept of multiple genders, or any gender at all, is difficult for me to grasp. And unfortunately, it is one you mortals are particularly sensitive about." She spoke with honest frustration.

Rose eased, "I've noticed Time Lords are 'Gender Fluid', since their sex can change between regenerations. I'm sure Susan doesn't actually mind when you accidentally call him a her. They've done it themselves a few times. I think they just like giving you a hard time."

Luna smiled fondly, "They are indeed, quite the snarky brat."
