Chapter 46 : Assault in the Lucario Kingdom

The days had passed slowly, and not without incident. Xent had not counted on what amounted to cabin fever setting in, boredom and stress of being locked up getting to him a bit. Although he kept himself handled and did as he was told, Verna was juggling helping Dahlia and helping him.

As the group was sleeping through the last night, a loud voice crying out had stirred Thomas who jolted up, rubbing his eyes. Looking around some, only to see light outside the window, he quickly shook his head. "Hey. Hey Everyone! Up, up. Get up!" Thomas yelled out, only for another voice to sound.

"Thomas! Radara!" Suicune's call echoed out.

"W-what's going on... where's the fi-" Xent started as he got up annoyed, only to be cut off.

"Dahlia, Verna! Xent!" Suicune's words rang out again, and instantly Xent was up, along with Dahlia and Verna while Thomas shook Radara.

In a rush to get out of the building now, they had gathered things while Radara rushed out to get Suicune and bring her down. By the time that Radara had returned with Suicune, they were almost ready and Suicune had given each of them a very thorough hug, checking over them for any kind of injury, or worse, effects from the defenses of the prison. Xent and Verna had suffered a bit more in the way of blindness, only able to see a few dozen meters at best right now, but Thomas, Radara, and Dahlia were pretty much fine, and were fully recovered even before they were had left the ruins.

With everything packed up, including the multitude of drinks that Dahlia has secured while locked up, they were all in a rush to get out now, even power walking up the stairs to the cave that they had entered in the first place.

Dahlia gave a loud gasp of relief quickly letting the sun wash over her as she was the first one outside, Xent and Verna following along next but covering their eyes to start. "Oh, I need this so much... let's just stand here for a moment." Dahlia stated slowly, closing her eyes and just enjoying the warmth of the sun.

"Natural sunlight... boy am I happy to see it, even if it burns the eyes a little." Xent stated, still covering his eyes like Verna, but just eager to be outside now. "I don't care if its raining, I'm sleeping outside tonight." He added. A gentle ribbon wrapped around his and Verna's wrists though as they walked outside and up to the water's edge.

'Let's get those eyes cleaned up a little, see if we can get your vision back proper. It won't be right away, but it will help.' Suicune's voice stated in their minds again, Radara eagerly translating once more and both Xent and Verna quickly moved up to the water's edge with her.

"How did you miss the window brother, sisters?" Palkia asked looking over Thomas, Radara, and Dahlia.

"It lasted just about two hours, but we did find out what happened." Thomas explained.

'When we were realigning our worldly senses, we accidentally made a connection to the ruins, and that's how it found us, and us specifically. We have reset the chamber and hopefully that has solved the issue. We saw nothing else to suggest that the prison is compromised.' Radara explained.

"That is good news. Knowing that we have far more time to prepare for it is a very good thing to hear." Palkia stated.

"How long have you been here?" Thomas asked now, quickly turning when there was a loud splash behind them.

'I apologize, I know is uncomfortable, but this really is for your benefit.' Suicune stated, helping Verna up out of the water with Xent.

"Come on Verna... I know it stings, but just hold still okay." Xent stated, Dahlia rushing over to help as well, his face fairly wet already showing that Suicune had washed his eyes already.

'Just a little more, I promise.' Suicune said, wrapping her ribbons carefully around Verna to show how sorry she was.

'I know, I know... it just stings a lot. I'm not use to this kind of pain.' Verna whined, taking a seat again, but now in Xent's lap, Verna taking his hands to hold her still now.

'I'm sorry, my blessings and help must be given through water and it must be deep to help wash this fate from your eyes and mind.' Suicune stated, some water rising up around her again and Verna nodded.

"Maybe half an hour tops. Not horribly long. How deep did you take cover?" Palkia asked in response.

'Dahlia wanted to take cover in the old brewery there. She wanted a small drink to help her, the strain of being alone got to her when it reached out seeking both her and Argyle.' Radara explained.

"I'm pretty sure that she grabbed every last bottle she could find in the place as well." Thomas said, not blaming her taking advantage of the situation, and knowing that she was going to court Verna like he was courting Rebecca, and that would mean some wine.

"I also found a cask to grab. Poxer's Artisans Arceus Brew." Dahlia called out, everyone but Verna and Xent turning towards Dahlia in sheer shock.

"That sounds like a very special type of brew. Let's keep it away from Zai." Xent stated as he continued to hold Verna, Suicune quickly going back to finish up.

'Special does not begin to take note of it. That brew was made specifically for our mother, for our legendary brothers and sisters, for us god-children, and only those of very special standing. High priests, kings and queens or other rulers of nations, and those who we choose to court and share with it with the approval of our family. There were only, maybe a few thousand people to ever taste that drink.' Radara quickly stated.

"How about we don't even mention that disaster waiting to be if Zai is even within a hundred meters of anyone." Xent quickly added as Suicune finished with Verna's eyes and let them both go.

'There, your sight should return to full in a few days. It might take up to a week, but there won't be any lasting effects once it returns.' Suicune smiled, lightly nuzzling Verna who just rubbed her cheek a little.

'Thank you... I'm sorry for struggling, I'm just not use to things messing with my eyes.' Verna stated.

"Its perfectly alright. Washing away effects like that were not meant to easy, even for us." Dahlia noted.

"We should head back to the Lucario Kingdom. Let them know that everything is fine." Xent stated, getting up and grabbing his bag again and waiting for the others to get ready.

"I am ready when you are." Palkia stated, turning and a portal opened up for them to walk through. The sound of an explosion sounding in the distance and what looked like some smoke through the portal quickly got everyone's attention though and Thomas and Radara dashed through first.

The portal was right in the front of the temple and rushing through, Thomas threw down his bag quickly drawing the tonfa as he looked over the sight before him. Multiple huts were in ruins, craters from explosive damage peppering part of the village of the lucario kingdom and above them was an airship.

"Oh come on, how many of those flying cargo ships can you have." Thomas snapped as he rushed into the fray. Latias and Latios were quickly herding the riolus back into the temple, Entei launching a blast of fire into the skies towards the floating airship which was taking heavy fire now from multiple aura spheres and numerous other attacks, starting to crash down. Dialga and Rayquaza rushed up towards it, ramming into its side and pushing it away from the village.

"Perfect timing, give us a hand!" Raikou roared out as he rushed forward and grabbed Thomas flinging up and onto his back now, Thomas already prepared and quickly mounting up on his back as a dozen Team Galactic grunts were trying to rush forward, and up the sky above them, Hunter J was once more on her salamance, guiding two more salamances beside it.

"Kill all of them except for Thomas Falston and the legendary pokemon! They're worth more then every lucario here! And the boy comes in alive or I'll skin you in his place!" Hunter J screamed out in rage, quickly diving after Thomas, having been waiting specifically for him, not even caring that he rushed out of some kind of portal.

The others quickly followed through the portal, and Xent threw his bag as well. "Someone pass m-" Xent started, only for Suicune to wrap her ribbons around both Xent and Verna.

'Into the temple you two. Protect the younglings.' Suicune commanded.

"I can fi-" Xent started, only for Suicune to pull him back forcibly into the temple.

'You're more then half blind and can't see at a distance. Inside the temple where you have a better chance of just defending yourself up close. Go, help the others.' Suicune ordered now, pulling them both along as Dahlia was tossed her halberd and rushed forward to join the others directly.

"Let me help!" Xent snapped now, only for Dahlia to rush to him.

"You can help by taking your handicap and staying in cover, and not putting us at risk defending you." Dahlia stated, grabbing Verna's hand for a moment and giving her a kiss. "Do not let him leave your side!" Dahlia commanded, only for a loud cry to sound.

[Onward my battlesteed! Show them your destructive power!] Zai screamed out, riding atop the Registeel that was present, her illusions making them look like a dozen Registeel were there and easily confusing thing as she hid herself and the one she was riding until it would attack.

"That's Temporary Handicap thank you very much!" Xent snapped, only to glance over, sort of making out something, but not really to see it as he shook his head, before getting dragged inside the temple.

As Riakou rushed forward with Thomas, many lucarios were already up there waiting. A large group of houndooms were trying to circle them and round them, but it was an entirely failed effort. Morag was right in the center of things, her aura bone snapping the spine of a houndoom in a single blow, before lashing out at its trainer. Like with the houndoom, she snapped his arm and then smashed his face into the side of the cabin.

The lucarios were divided up into a groups now all working together as Thomas became a central target of almost everyone now. As almost all of the Team Galactic grunts turned their attention towards him, the lucarios used this chance to reposition and begin separating them into smaller groups. Even while working to take advantage of the distraction though, most quickly had started to avoid getting to close to Thomas now as well as Hunter J had targeted him as well. Raikou just barely managed avoid a pair of dracometeors which impacted the ground around him while carrying Thomas trying to closer to her.

With Thomas becoming the center of attention though, a few lucarios rushed up to his direct aid instead of getting too close. 'Pull!' An aura voice snapped into his head as he ducked up a claw swipe from one of the salamance that came down to attack him.

At his side, four lucarios had grabbed a galvantula, each taking a leg and then on the command all dashed in different directions pulling the electric spider apart as it cried out. Raikou ducked unto another blow as Thomas jumped up and off, Thomas tackling a Galactic Grunt, his tonfa slamming into his ribs, only to be kicked to the side and Thomas got a quick glance at the lucarios now at his side, one of them a shiny and one of them where part of a kimono.

"W-what, Rebecca, no get to cover." Thomas called out, jumping to the side with raised tonfa to block a poison jab attack from a toxicroak, focusing a barrier between his tonfa to do so. Remembering the last fight against a toxicroak, he stayed more mobile this, and wasn't going to let himself get trapped, still focusing on defending just the worse it had to offer.

'Thomas, let me fight! You can't keep putting me away!' Rebecca quickly countered, moving up and forcing the toxicroak back when she tried to jump it from the side, her paws glowing with aura trying to form an aura sphere but still having issues getting it right.

'What! You dare restrict her from combat?' Mana's voice quickly added now as both Rebecca and Mana rushed up to Thomas. Mana closed the distance easily with a pair of aura spheres and smashing the first into the toxicroak using the opening that Rebecca had at least given her. Mana quickly hopped over the toxicroak when it tried to counter, but Mana was already behind it, slamming the other aura sphere into it sending it right towards Rebecca. 'Force palm!' Mana called out, and Rebecca reacted instantly, the toxicroak unable to hear their aura voice and caught sudden attack face first.

The blinding light of the attack to its face marked its quickly defeat now as it was throw to the side, Raikou landing hard on a golbat that had tried to attack them from above. Sparks and jolts of electricity danced his fur and off his sides as he took out the golbat, returning to Thomas's side in a hurry.

"It's too dang-" Thomas tried to start, rushing another grunt and easily disarming them of a baton that they had, before hitting them with a heavy electrical blast channeled through the tonfa.

'Enough! Rebecca is a lucario! Life is dangerous and yet she lives, and she should live as she desires. You have already began to train her for combat. We are under attack, and she wishes to defend what is precious to her. You will not stop her.' Mana snapped at Thomas now, jumping up with him and landing hard, leaving a crater in the dirt trying to take out an absol. 'Bullet Punch. Follow with Metal Claw!' Mana called out, and Rebecca once more followed the order.

Rebecca jolted forward making sure to stick close to Mana, her arms glowing as she attacked with a rapid fire bullet punch attack. While the absol was low rolling from trying to avoid those, she quickly switched to a metal claw and it jumped back, right into Mana's arms. Mana easily suplexed the absol leaving it a mess as Thomas and Raikou teamed up.

The pair let loose a massive thunder attack against one of the salamance that was rushing down to attack them. While avoiding the worst of it, a few bolts of the twin thunder attacks had nicked it, but it was still enough to make it stop its dive to avoid taking a direct hit.

"Please! G-"Thomas tried to argue, only for Rebecca to yell.

'Thomas, I am not weak. You train me and you raise me to defend myself, but I don't want to defend myself. I want to defend you!' Rebecca yelled out jumping up over them latching onto the Salamance's wing when Thomas and Raikou stopped the attack.

'And damn right she should! We are lucarios, the guardians of life. It is in our blood, our very nature to bond with and protect those we care about.' Mana snapped, jumping up with Rebecca, and together, the two of them used metal claw. Their wrist spikes both extended out into massive claws and with a heavy handed swipe, ripped through the salamance's webbing on its left wing, forcing it to the ground.

'To deny us our very nature, can the be any greater insult.' Mana continued as she rushed up as soon as it was grounded and with another metal claw, tried to snap the wing itself to guarantee it would never fly again.

'This is no time for arguments. Defend the village until the defenses the gods promised us return.' Morag's voice now sounded as she just seemed to appear in a blur of movement, her aura bone above her head for only a second, and then bending the salamance's neck when it landed, before Morag moved again, her aura bone catching a large web that had been aimed for Mana and Rebecca. The other two lucarios who had been merely trying to keep up now to moved to aid Morag now, helping to block even more attempts at string shots trying to slow them down.

"We need another few minutes for Latias and Latios to extend the defenses of the temple. They were nearly done when the attack started from the skies." Raikou explained as electricity danced over his fur, and then charged tackling the ariados that had tried to capture Mana and Rebecca.

"Why were they down in the first place?" Thomas asked as he followed up, jabbing the sharpened spike of the tonfa into an electrivire's fist that was coming at him, before slamming the blunt end into its jaw, Mana finishing it with a force palm herself that sent it flying back into a tree.

"While you were away, we came to a decision. The world needs our return if that evil is to breaking out, and we have decided that the lucarios who wish to help and voulenteered would be the first of our new priests, to help aid you carry our word to the world." Raikou replied as he covered Rebecca now, grabbing and pulling her out of the way of another draco meteor attack.

"You could use the help dear brother." Darkrai added now, appearing in the shadows and rising up in the middle of a pack of houndooms. Grabbing the legs of multiple houndooms who were now rushing forward leaving them helpless and confused, he left a large opening for Mana and Rebecca. "You fight well Rebecca, you would make him proud if my brother wasn't scared of his own shadow." Darkrai mocked.

As Hunter J came down on her own Salamance and released her remaining pokemon now, going all out. An Aggron, a pair of Mr. Mimes, and a Cofagrigus. She even had a full helmet and what looked like armor under her large trench coat out as she hopped off the salamance that she had been riding and drew a pair of large metal kanabo clubs.

"Not this time boy. I'll kill everyone else just to get a chance at you. I've never been so humiliated in my life." J shouted, through a speaker and then went entirely silent as she rushed forward. Raikou went to charge her but quickly had to back off when J revealed the same kind of petrification technologies could be fired from the tips of her clubs at him. The Mr. Mimes quickly played purely support now, floating up and trying to separate Thomas from the others.

Thomas quickly blocked the first blow with the tonfas he had, and then Rebecca rushed up and grabbed the second kanabo being swung at him, Thomas jerking her away when J tried to turn her stone. Mana jumped up over them, an aura bone of her own in her hands but even she blocked by one of the clubs. Mana could tell to stay away from the tips of the kanabos already though, not eager to be hit by whatever energy had been demonstrated already.

'Strike low, mess up her foot work. She's powerful.' Mana stated, Thomas going to try and say something, only to have to duck under another swing, and countered, the rounded end of the tonfa landing a solid blow on J's gut, but impacting armor and Thomas's didn't notice any kind of effect to J herself from it.

He rolled back, Rebecca grabbing his arm and rolling him forward again, going to try and strike her in the head instead. J ducked under the blow and tried to strike Thomas in the back, Rebecca blocking for him again. Darkrai took to aiding Thomas as well, pulling Rebecca to the side right afterward to keep her from getting struck by another petrification attempt.

Raikou went in to attack and aid himself, but the salamances were focusing on him and Entei as he dashed into the fight as well, Morag facing one of them herself to the side as well as being hindered by a Mr. Mime. The two Mr. Mimes constantly putting up invisible walls up to try and aid Hunter J while hindering Thomas and all of the pokemon trying to help him. It was clear that J was trying to separate him from as much help as he could, she didn't want others interfering with him.

Hunter J rushed in again, keeping the assault up directly, Thomas countering and Rebecca went to help him again, but now the walls were in full effect. The walls hindered Rebecca's attempt at helping as she tried to break through them to no avail trying to trap Thomas and J in a more or less cage match fight that moved to help J.

They didn't stop not Darkrai however who used the shadows to move unhindered under the walls, grabbing and twisting one of J's arms, going to try and use a dark pulse on her, only to have to back off when she tried to hit him now.

This still left her open to Thomas however who slammed both tonfa into her leg trying to take her clean off her feet, getting her stumble, but not fall over. Mana jumped up now, trying to aid the attack only for more invisible walls to get in her way. Mana landed on one, using repeated mega punches now, intending to break through. A few cracks did start to appear in the air, the surface she was standing starting to give way, but she was forced to back off when the cofagrigus was on her.

With a focus on deflecting Mana though, the Mr. Mimes had given Rebecca chance to get through and she used her bullet punch, getting two smaller hits on J before she backed off and her primary salamence dove into them, tossing both Thomas and Rebecca to the side. Raikou caught Rebecca and eased her down. The salamence didn't let up though, opening its mouth with a bright blue glow.

A burst of blue fire from a dragon breath attack was aimed right for Thomas, and he put up a barrier even if he knew it wouldn't hold. Instead the barrier held fully, cracking but there as Radara teleported to side now, the gem in the middle of her head glowing brightly. Even Dahlia had rushed up and threw her hand forward to help as well.

As the salamance let loose its dragon breath attack aimed for Thomas, Entei, Raikou and Mana were forced to back off from direct combat with J. Behind them, Entei let loose his own fiery attack against another of the salamences that was trying to target Rebecca and Raikou. It was a good hit, but the salamence wasn't happy with it, turning its attention to Entei leaving its side exposed for Mana.

The cofagrigus chasing Mana wasn't giving her a single opening to attack it as it moved too quickly trying to swallow her, so Mana just took the chance to attack others instead, throwing a number of aura spheres around. Those thrown towards J were still blocked easily by the invisible walls of the Mr. Mimes, but the salamance targeting Entei took a few more good hits. In the distraction, Raikou took his own turn unhindered.

A massive blast of lightning crashed from the sky through it and down to Raikou underneath it, with the salamance caught right in the middle. It gave a roar of pain and falling several feet out of the sky before catching itself and being forced to glide for a moment. This time though it noticed another batch of aura spheres rushing towards it, and countered. Another dragon breath attack devastated and dispersed the incoming attack, and while the ground salamance tried to go after Entei, Raikou was free to follow up again.

Suicune had used rain down now, a massive storm rolling over the village, her howl and power sounding all over the valley as storm clouds grow. The rain started to come down hard and began to help with the fire, and more importantly, gave Raikou a much needed boost. Jumping in a bolt of lightning and bouncing from cloud to cloud, he came right back down in the same method.

Raikou landed hard on the back of weakened salamance as the third one tried to help but was too slow. Raikou's fangs dug deep into the back of its neck, still infused with the power of the lightning bolt he rode in and forced a second salamance towards the ground. Like before Mana rushed it, or tried to but with the cofagrigus in pursuit she couldn't get in close enough.

She didn't need to however as Entei, in a burst of fire hardly caring for the rain, gave a a fiery charge. Flaming claws started to tear through one wing, and his flaming back left a giant hole in it a second later before turning back around. Entei's jaws snapped over joint in the middle of its wing and with a sickening crunch, severed more than half making it roar out in pain, before Raikou's jaws gave their own crunch and it fell limp.

Rebecca rushed back towards Thomas now. Radara took once more to the defensive, hindering as many as she could, focusing on the two Mr. Mimes first. With their efforts weakening, Dahlia found her opportunity now. With a stab of the halberd followed up with a ice punch, she tore right through one of the invisible walls that were between her and Thomas.

Twisting her grip on the halberd, she used the gap between the lower portion of the ax head and the pole, she caught one of the kanabos that J was wielding. A hard twist and extra pull from Thomas and one of the kanabo were ripped from her hands. Thomas could feel J's rage building as he made sure to toss the club towards Mana who caught it and smashed it first into the head of the cofagrigus who was getting close again.

This stunned it if only briefly and realizing that it wouldn't do much good to her without her knowing how to operate the device fully, Mana jumped back. She swung with all of her might into an exposed and cracked support post for one of the fallen village huts.

The kanabo twisted and sparked, cracking even as the support of the building snapped from the strength of the blow, but it also destroy the club. Dahlia quickly tried to stab her with the other side of the other side of the halberd and missed, but didn't let up. She quickly swung the ax side forward, catching her dead on in the chest, but whatever armor J had on was worth it.

It held against the blow even if J stumbled back, J trying to counter with her remaining club, but Dahlia was far to quick and ducked back. Thomas rushed forward to try and disarm her completely, but the aggron finally showed its face against him. Its bloody horn wasn't a good sight, and the bright glowing light drawing in energy into its mouth was even worse.

It ducked down and forward, releasing is hyper beam and Thomas had to jump out of the way, Rebecca catching him while Radara jumped to the other side, the attack leaving a large ditch behind as it tried to strike the temple.

A massive barrier formed over the temple protecting the structure and drew attention from J, giving Dahlia another opening to try and attack. When Dahlia twisted around going for another wide swing, J caught it now with the aid of the Mr. Mimes. J tried to disarm Dahlia now, but Dahlia just twisted the bottom of the handle of the halberd and the middle gave way.

J was left holding just an ax with a spear head and a short handle, while Dahlia had a short spear that she jabbed into J's gut. The armor still held, but cracked this time as the aggron turned its attention towards Dahlia, and she was forced to teleport back, but bringing both halves of the halberd with her. She quickly reassembled the halberd to its full size, as Thomas regrouped with the others.

"Give it up, J. You can't win this." Thomas stated, a quick glance around the battlefield that was the village showing that Team Galactic was on starting to lose now. Whatever steam that they had with the surprise attack was losing its edge and the lucarios paired with the legendary pokemon were now starting to gain ground. Even the advantage of the airship above them gone and it was no long firing into the village, instead being forced slowly towards the ground, getting shoved further and further away.

Thomas took up his stance again, Radara and Dahlia at his direct sides, Entei and Raikou growling loudly off to either side and Mana and Rebecca moved right beside Thomas as well. Even Darkrai joined them, floating up above them. "Finally ready to defend yourself dear brother. This should be fun." He laughed.

The two remaining salamences both tried to attack, but Dahlia, Thomas, and Radara easily put a barrier to stop their attacks, Mana and Entei countering with aura spheres and a fire blast on the one still in the air intending to divide them up.

Raikou and Darkrai quickly rushed one of the ones on the ground, and quickly began to over whelm it. Darkrai stuck to the shadows, grabbing one of its legs and hitting it with a dark pulse right in its stomach. Unable to protect itself from Darkrai on the ground, and then even more from Raikou landing on its other wing and making sure to shred that. Left entirely helpless and on the ground, it was easily dealt with another surge of lightning crashed from the sky into Raikou and the salamence.

It tried to struggle, but with both wings now taking its advantage of flight dealing with two faster opponents, it had little chance of doing much. Darkrai slipped back into the shadows to avoid its tail, slamming another dark pulse into its gut, and Raikou danced around its head, before his whole body gave sparks, and he slammed hard into its side. It was tossed several feet now, rolling over a few times, getting wrapped up in its own broken wings, and Darkrai was there once more, a finishing blow delivered right to its head.

The aggron tried to move up to attack, but was too slow to help the quickly downed salamence. Mana and Rebecca rushed it, aiming to distract it long enough for Darkrai and Raikou to finish it. Mana launched a number of aura spheres into its making it cover its face a bit, and hiding Rebecca's advance.

Rebecca rushed around the side and targeted its right leg, going straight for the back of the knee to try and bring it down. The aggron remained standing and tried to counter, building up a metal claw attack of its own, but Mana was now on its other leg, her aura bone out and slamming into the back of his left knee, this time making it stumble. It gave an angry roar and fell to one knee, wasting the attack trying to keep itself up right, tail trying to hit Rebecca instead. Rebecca quickly backed off though, not wanting to take a single hit in this, and just following Mana's lead.

'Excellent work, I can see Thomas trained you well. How dare he teach so much and yet restrict you. I'm going to make it mad, see how many times you can strike its legs.' Mana called out to Rebecca, jumping up and smashing her aura bone into the sides of it's face. 'Is he really the one you bonded with?' Mana asked, the aggron roaring at her and charging another hyper beam.

Rebecca quickly used the chance to duck under its tail again and going for speedy blows, used bullet punch again. Several hits connected with the back of its leg and it fell to one knee again, unable to focus on both. 'Thomas is my lover and my mate! I have to do this, to protect him. He's kind and caring, and he tries to help so many even without a reward or the risk to his own health.' Rebecca stated as she had to back away to avoid its tail once more.

Mana quickly jumped back up and behind the aggron's head again, a heavy double handed swing with her aura bone slamming into the back of the aggron's head. It was just in time too, the aggron's hyper beam was charged up now, and then suddenly it was pointed at the ground right in front of it letting loose. Caught in the blast radius of its own attack, dirt, stone, and more were tossed in all directions pelting its chest and face. 'Then he should truly see you for you who are, and he should let you be yourself. Even more so when its defend others, what he does himself.' Mana called out, only to shake her head looking at the aggron. 'How tough is this thing.'

The aggron didn't seem to phased by the attack though and was already getting up, seeming to jolt forward now, another metal claw already primed and rushing forward towards the two lucarios.

While Darkrai and Raikou were working on the one salamance though. Dahlia went off the cofagrigus. It gave up just trying to grab the others now, and instead actually started to attack now starting with a mean look attack, its eyes glowing bright with dark energies. A dozen more eyes locked onto Dahlai around her and pulling her in, intending to keep her in combat with the cofagrigus.

Dahlia didn't care though, rushed up with the halberd and choosing her opponent well, protecting Entei and Mana while they launched attacks into the air against the remaining airborne salamence. Dahlia rushed up and started with a fire punch, her fist flaming as she dashed forward. The cofagrigus tried to open up and just swallow her, but Dahlia jumped up and slammed her fiery fist into the top of the cofagrigus. She immediately followed up an ice punch, the flames of the first hit not even out when the ice punch had hit.

Dahlia rolled off the top of it and behind it, jabbing it several times with the spear head in the back. She was easily faster then it, and made sure to use that to her advantage always staying behind him now. As Mana changed targets to help Rebecca with the aggron, Dahlia kept up her offensive. A thunder punch followed up with another fire punch, Dahlai wasn't given the cofagrigus an inch, not even a chance to really counter or retaliate.

Thomas engaged with J again directly now, still protected by the two Mr. Mimes while Radara now did the same for Thomas. With Radara and the Mr. Mimes now beginning to focus on each other, the barriers and attempts at interfering with the rest of the fight that the two Mr. Mimes were trying to provide became severely limited just trying to manage Radara.

Thomas rushed in used the tonfas to strike J in the chest again, ducking under her swing. He focused on her arms now though, trying to take out the arm cannon she had to disarm her completely. J's anger kept building and it was starting to get the better of her, something that Thomas could see when as she was getting more aggressive. He could only assume that her helmet was keeping her from speaking too much, or at least that she had turned the speaker off, not that it bothered him.

He ducked under a wild swing of the club, rolled back and vaulted forward, dropping one of the tonfa for a second. With a free hand, he grabbed her arm, and twisted around to her side. Another jab in her gut, charged with electricity this time landed hard as her side exploded in sparks, but it didn't to effect her directly. Thomas had no idea what kind of armor plating she was wearing, but it was good.

J went to strike him again, and Thomas let himself drop, still holding onto her arm with the cannon though. He took a hit to his side knowing that it was likely to happen, but also forced her arm down leaving it exposed. The tonfa that he had dropped quickly returned now, the sharpened spike going through the barrel of the cannon, shattering the lens and making it spark even worse then his own attack prior. Reaching out and grabbing the tonfa he used the leverage of the armor around the cannon itself to to pull the spike in deeper into the cannon, and then twisted it jamming it in place.

The tonfa was stuck in deep and gave him even greater leverage, the two now struggling for control over the arm. The tonfa was a prefect grip stuck as it was, but J still had more options with it being her arm after all. She tried to drag him in front of her, and with her other arm, could easily aim the petrification ray on her remaining kanabo. Thomas took a chance now, slugging her hard in the face counting on the armor to protect her from a fatal blow. He heard the visor crack a little, but it held and he hit her again, shaking her head up a bit and getting some more leverage.

A sudden loud voice interrupted everything though as Arceus herself took to the sky in front of the temple, glowing brightly. "Enough! I order you all to stop this fighting at once." A powerful voice echoed all over them and drew attention to her.

With the distraction though, Dahlia grabbed two of the cofagrigus's arms, and swung it around. It collided hard with the aggron's face, several cracks appearing all over its sarcophagus body as it bounced up and off the aggron. The aggron was toppled back and both Rebecca and Mana took advantage of it, the pair quickly smashing either side of its head with another force palm.

A blinding light on either side of its head and series of spasms, the aggron gave a loud cry. Dahlia moved to finish him though, already in the air and coming down hard. The halberd was filled with the power of twin thunder punches coursing through it as she landed on its chest slamming the blunt end down on its chest.

The aggron was hit full force with the attack, before falling back entirely knocked out. Dahlia quickly stood up and looked over the field, only to dive forward.

It wasn't all good distractions however when Arceus spoke out, Raikou turning himself to try and make a call back to Arceus. "You s-" Raikou started, only for the still airborne salamence to dive down, claws glowing with a bright green energy. Raikou managed to just barely move aside from the twin swipes. The salamence followed up with a crunch attack though, glowing fangs digging into Raikou's hind leg, holding tight with a large chunk of Raikou's hind leg in his mouth. It quickly threw its head to either side, swinging Raikou around, letting go a few seconds later tossing Raikou into the ruins of one of the village cabins.

Darkrai responded erupting from shadows on the ground ripping through its wings now grounding it like the others, before flying up and turning, hands to his chest. "That will not stand." Darkrai roared out, throwing his arms forward. A beam of dark purple and black rings were fired right down into the back of the salamence, and Entei also lashed out, a massive fire blast striking the side of the salamence and swallowing it in fire.

Mana and Rebecca quickly changed targets as well, rushing the two Mr. Mimes who were already struggling to keep up against Radara in a match of psychic power. Rebecca tried to use an aura sphere again herself, but still struggled as she ran up, but Mana's spheres impacted their barriers hard. Forced to give up defending J and leaving her open, Thomas took the offensive fully now.

He let go of the tonfa still stuck inside J's arm cannon, rolled over her back and grabbed her kanabo. A quick strike with the tonfa he still had to her arm ripped the kanabo free to be tossed away. J quickly tried to counter using the tonfa stuck in her arm cannon almost as a wrist blade now, only to be jerked to the side.

Radara had grabbed and twisted the tonfa now that she had more control with the two Mr. Mimes having to put their own safety first. Not only did Radara twist the arm back, she also jerked it down, giving Thomas a large opening. Thomas landed another solid hit to her side with the tonfa and followed up with two more, electricity surging from the blows to test the armor's full strength now.

It suffered a few more cracks, and Thomas grabbed J's other arm to try and keep her pinned. One of the Mr. Mimes trying to pull him away with a wall, but it quickly proved a dangerous error.

Taking even a chance to help J though, Mana broke through their defenses and finally landed a solid hit against them. Mana's aura bone struck the first Mr. Mime clean in the head tossing it back and to the ground. The other one dashed back on walls, running backwards on the platforms to try and get away, only to risk the same mistake and try to offer some defense to J while it hopped up onto a higher vantage.

With the barriers down around the first Mr. Mime though, Rebecca was there and took advantage of the opening. Rushing towards the falling Mr. Mime, she already was already starting to take it out. Another bullet punch slammed into it before it even hit the ground, followed up with a metal claw and the Mr. Mime was launched into a tree. The tree shook and splintered a bit as the Mr. Mime impacted, and Rebecca already turned to face Mana.

Mana rushed up, and into Rebecca's paws, Rebecca throwing Mana up into the air as Mana launched another pair of aura spheres at the remaining Mr. Mime, quickly summoning her aura bone again. Rebecca's throw had been true and Mana rushed it faster then the Mr. Mime could react, Mana bringing her aura bone down on its head slamming it into the ground.

With no more help, Dahlia rushed up to join Thomas, a wide slow sweep of the halberd taking her off her feet and onto the ground. Thomas went to pin her fully, only for the arm cannon to explode in a massive blast if light, sparks, and noise. It shook up Thomas and Dahlia just enough to let J pull something out of her belt, and a second later there were a few more even louder flashes and bangs, as well as a massive blast of reddish smoke.

The combined flashbangs and pepper gas explosives quickly stung, but Dahlia was on it just as quickly. She had teleported them both right above flowing out of the side of the temple, its clean waters would help them both.

Thomas already feeling what was going on dove into the water and quickly worked to wash his eyes to get the sting out and back into the fight, but didn't have time. The usually green glass like stone work of the temple went dark, a smokey black and gray which quickly extended over the entire village and into the trees a fair bit.

All around them, the pokemon belonging to the hunters who were with J and the Team galactic grunts were stricten with fear, and the humans faired no better. Most instantly lost their desire to fight as survival instincts kicked in from the fear. J was quickly running now, but Morag wasn't going to allow that. 'Somber! Get their leader.' Morag's voice commanded in full all over the valley now as Thomas and Dahlia quickly rose up from the water and rushed to its sides. The small dose of pepper gas had been annoying, but easily washed away with Dahlia's quick reactions, but the disorientation of the flash bangs would linger a bit more leaving their ears ringing and vision blurry.

Rebecca was rushing up towards Thomas now though and quickly reached out helping him up. 'Thomas, Thomas are you okay?' Rebecca asked, her voice full of worry as he could barely out properly.

Above them, Latias flew down to help Thomas stand up, while Latios helped Dahlia up, both holding a rather ornate crystal shard which was glowing brightly. Clean up at this point was easy however, even without Dahlia, Thomas, Rebecca there.

Arceus even flew down to join them, her golden rings glowing right, and starting a small pulse of light inside Thomas's and Dahlia's eyes as well. They both quickly used recover and their senses returned easily, but Arceus was already flying off to help Raikou now.

Another loud explosion sounded above them and drew attention. Rayquaza, Palkia, and Dialga having smashed the airship into the side of the valley, well away from the village and forest below where it wouldn't leave a major mess or hazard for the kingdom, but Thomas quickly focused on Rebecca again.

"Rebecca.. please, the next time I ask yo-" Thomas started, only for Mana to move up again, this time pushing Rebecca into Thomas.

'The next time he tells you run, you punch him. Like you should now.' Mana stated firmly.

'Thomas... please me help from now on. I can fight, you trained me for it, you even like it when you watch me training. I'm not a child anymore, and seeing you fight without me, its mean, its wrong. I need to fight, to help you. I won't let you fight without me anymore.' Rebecca quickly stated, half firmly, and yet at the same time pleading.

'I need to do this, I need to be at your side. I can't just be told to run anymore. You needed help today, and I helped. And I will do it again... I... I'll smash my pokeball next time you try it. I'm a lucario now, not a riolu. I've still got some training to do, but I'm not going hide or be put away, not again!' Rebecca continued.

'And that's not a question. She can fight, and she deserves to try. I'll train her myself, she has potentional and a lot of it.' Mana added quickly, moving up behind Rebecca and putting her paws on Rebecca's shoulder. 'For being the child of our god, you still have a lot to learn about the world apparently.'

The sun was setting and now things were under control. Fear had over taken most of the pokemon assaulting the village now, and seeing their pokemon no longer responding and easily taken down, those galactic grunts not under the effects of fear themselves were running, only for the lucarios to rush out and round them up now.

One lucario specifically was handling J now, dragging her along and not giving her an inch as they brought them up slowly. The lucario didn't say anything, not even with an aura voice as it pulled J on the ground, through the mud intentionally no less, face showing his disgust as he walked.

In the center of town where Latias and Latios were each holding up a large ornate crystal shards that were glowing brightly, Morag walked up slow to where they were waiting, Arceus, Thomas, Radara, and a few others starting to gather.

As Hunter J was dragged up, the lucario holding her grabbed her mask and just kept pressing harder and harder, until it cracked and part of it ripped free, the lucario ripping more pieces until all of J's head was revealed, J scowling at Thomas.

"You just wait boy... I'll have my turn with you yet and when I do, I'll have you begging for mercy before I auction you off to the highest bid-" J stated, only for the lucario holding her to plant her face in the dirt.

'Somber... I will decide her fate.' Morag stated, the lucario looking up with a soft nod and pulling J's head up out of the dirt, grabbing part of her coat and rubbing the dirt from her face a bit.

"I won't be judged by some talking mutt who belongs on a leash." J quickly countered, only to look up towards Arceus as she started to approach.

Morag reached out and quickly forced J to look directly at her though. 'You attacked this mutt's kingdom. My people, my home, my land. I will judge you for this attack, and I find you guilty. You are not worth redemption.' Morag stated.

'And with my god's permission, I would seek control of your fate. I know that she has attacked us all, she had attacked your temple, your sons and daughters, but please. This is my land, my people have suffered for this. Two are dead, almost everyone injured, our homes wrecked and our lives changed. We still wish to be of aid to your cause, your ways. We would still ask to be your speakers, to help you and seeing the protections that you provide our home, of how you offered to help us rebuild. Please... allow me to judge this insolent thing as I would judge one of my own.' Morag started, Somber having cut off from interrupting by stuffing part of the trench coat into J's mouth.

Arceus merely listened though, and nodded. "I will allow this... These are you lands, and I can see that you do intend to judge her as you would one of her own. I admit that we are at fault for visiting this terror upon your people, and I shall leave the fate of this human to you." Arceus stated, Thomas looking down some already having an idea what was going to happen, Radara slowly getting up herself.

'Let her speak. I will not deny her any last words she might wish to express before I see her executed.' Morag stated now, turning her attention back to J in fully. Somber did as he was told though, pulling the trench coat out of J's mouth.

"You think you're serious. We all know I'm going to a jail cell." J quickly snapped as James rushed up at last, having heard most of it. "Hurry up and cuff me already." She stated directly to James, seeing his high ranking ranger outfit.

"Hold on Morag... I'm not stopping you from judgment, but are you really sure about this." James asked.

"Shut up and arrest me already." J quickly stated, trying to look at James now, already knowing he was ranger, and was supposed to be arresting her now.

"Not my place J... This land belongs to the lucarios. It wasn't any human law you broke when you came here and attacked... it was their laws, and you choose to assault them, to declare a war in their presence, against them, against their beliefs... and against Arceus and the legendary pokemon, who they worship." James replied, not even looking at her, just looking at Morag.

'You would try to convince me to spare her?' Morag asked, a bit of anger in her voice, but trying to remain calm.

"No, no I would not. But I just need you to be sure of the consequences. I would see her given the death penalty myself, even as unlikely as that is in the laws of the majority of Japan. But I need you to be sure of this yourself, and not judge her out of pure hatred. You always asked me to help you, to keep you calm if the need ever arose, to always remind you of the choices you would make. I'm just doing as you asked. If you do this... don't torture her. Let Somber do it, like you always do." James stated, Somber still just holding J.

Morag just listened, her aura bone slow disappearing for the moment, and then giving a slow nod. Seeing that they were serious though, J quickly turned to Thomas. "You're really going to let them do this boy?" J snapped looking to Thomas.

"We've had this same fight multiple times, and I've always been generous. I've given you the chance the chance to stop, given you the chance for mercy and might have even given you the chance to live again. Today though, that is not my choice to make. I submit to the law of the land we are in, to their freedom to exercise their own choice and judge you as they would judge any other. This is the land of the Lucario Kingdom, and that judgment resides with their alpha, Morag." Thomas said slowly, getting up and looking to Morag.

"Please excuse me. I would... rather help tend to the wounded, help who I can rather then watch this. I've seen enough blood in my lifetimes." Thomas stated, and Morag nodded, who looked to Somber.

As Thomas walked off, he made his way back to where Raikou was currently resting on a make shift bed at the moment, his left hind leg wrapped up tightly in bandages and more.

"How's your leg?" He asked, Rebecca moving over to join him, taking his arm now and leaning into him.

"That dragon tried to take it off... It will be weeks before I can walk, and maybe years before I can run at a full sprint again, if I ever do in this life time again. It shall be a long two years before the start of my reincarnation... and a mess raising my next life. I shall need help I think." Raikou stated.

"I had always imaged the pain of a life without limb, a fate I have long since avoided, but it would appear that I be spending the next few... or several years learning many lessons and shall now have a understanding far more clearly of your own handicaps." Raikou added, looking over his leg.

As they talked though, Xent began to walk up with Verna, both moving up to Thomas and Dahlia's side. On the other side though, Registeel was coming up slowly as well, Zai on its head as it moved up. This time though, Xent could see it perfectly, even shaking his head to be sure.

"Zai... What are you doing?" Xent quickly asked, even Verna in a little shock at the sight, rubbing her eyes just to be sure.

'Riding my battlesteed...' Zai replied, Radara translating once more.

"Your... battlesteed? I'm sorry, are you drunk right now?" Xent asked, very much confused and unsure of things.

'Hey! I take offense to that. I don't drink in battle... and no one let me have any to begin with.' Zai growled a little at Xent.

"Then why are you riding him?"Xent asked, unsure if he should approach any closer then he already was.

'Because my little friend... I would have been smashed in the first attack if this big guy didn't protect me.' Zai explained. 'It saved me, and I have been riding him since the fighting started and ended.'

Zai just grinned slowly getting up and then breaking out into a mad almost evil laugh. 'And together, we struck back against the invaders, teaching them that their arrogance was but a toy before our might!'

Registeel just reached up, gently grabbed Zia and sat her down in front of him, doing a little finger waggle now in front of her face while the seven dots on his face all blinked in a strange pattern not unlike a computer.

'Regigigas kindly asks me to tell that you are not allowed to go mad with power.' Radara stated now, Zai just grumbling.

After a long pause though, Xent was the first to speak. "I agree with him." Xent stated, before slowly turning back towards a few lucarios were looking through the armor and suit that J had been wearing. "So... with the fighting over, can anyone explain how she found us? I have trouble believing that this was random chance." Xent asked.

"I don't know... All I know is th-" Thomas quickly stated, only for a lucario to come up pointing a small device at Raikou.

'This was on the hunter's body. When pointed at Raikou, it grew louder, angry with beeps. James said that you should look at it, that you might be able to understand it. He called it a tracking device.' The lucario stated, handing them the device and then rushing back towards the others again.

"Thomas, Radara. Your time spent being raised with the Falston family has well versed you in sciences correct?" Raikou asked, the lucario handing them a small black box with what looked like an antenna slot on the side before walking back off.

'We have a thorough understanding of things that we did not in our last lives, but I would not say we are experts in all things science.' Radara asked.

"If you asked a more specific question, we might be able to help understand what your trying to ask." Thomas added looking over the device.

"This small black box beeps more loudly when pointed at me. Surely the humans didn't find a way to obtain a science to track us so easily." Raikou stated, the lucario handing over the small box.

Thomas took it now, looking it over Xent moving up as well. "Well, its a tracking device alright. Or at least its linked to one, but I don't know what its tracking." Thomas stated, pointing it around a bit, and then towards Raikou where it clearly beeped a bit more. Tapping the screen a few times, he brought up a menu and looked it over, a few numbers on the screen, but the most prominent number merely labeled distance, and it was rapidly fluctuating. The numbers would jump all over the place, some as low as 10 meters, but at times it would jump to over a thousand or more.

"Tap the screen twice quickly, its a touch screen. I don't see any other buttons, but let's see if we can't find the main menu." Xent offered and while that didn't appear to do much, when Thomas swiped the screen to the right, it brought up another screen.

"There we go. Wait..." Xent started, only for Thomas to look at Raikou.

'Is that a radioactive tracker?' Radara asked.

"Yeah... that's an isotope ID. I recognize it from when Vivian was helping make some tracking darts... tracking darts!" Thomas quickly stated looking up and pulling his sleeve up where the dart that had hit him back in Coral Coast City. There wasn't any sign of it now, and Thomas pointed the device to his arm, but there was no of the tracker responding.

Moving back up to Raikou though and just waving lightly in Raikou's general direction, it beeped a little bit, but as soon as it was pointed where Raikou had been hit with a dart as well, it seemed to beep a bit more loudly even if the number fluctuated a lot still.

"Wait... what is this radioactive thing you mentioned. I would swear that there was nothing in my wound. That would have been left behind when I jumped into the storm clouds. Or surely my electrical abilities would have destroyed it." Raikou stated.

"Only if it was physical. This is just a... well a type of special ink that's invisible to our eyes, even our godly sight." Thomas explained.

'Radiation is a type of... invisible aurora of sorts. All sorts of things give it off, but the evolution stones give off more concentrated forms, and are what let some pokemon evolve. There are a lot of forms of radiation that are harmless, and some that are harmful though. There are machines that can track radiation signals for miles though, and if you have a big enough system, you could track it from dozens of miles away.' Radara explained.

"That doesn't explain how they tracked it now though. I mean look at those numbers. That thing is confused to no end. Surely they didn't just pick a direction and hoped for the best." Xent commented.

"That is a very good question. How did they find me with it if that thing is not working properly." Raikou asked.

"My guess is that its not working right now for the same reason none of us have signal on our pokedexs or phone, or don't have internet at all. The protective fields around the temple cause massive interference, its partially disconnected from the world. When Latias and Latios turned off the field to expand it over the whole village though." Thomas started.

"Then the signal would have been clean and easily tracked for a bit. More then long enough to find you. Its why they couldn't just track you easily until then. You run too fast to get a signal at long range. But when you've been here for a while and when the interference went out, all they had to do was just get a general idea where you were." Xent added.

"So... I'm safe again right now?" Raikou asked, Thomas nodded.

"While protected like this you are, but I don't know about your travels outside." Thomas replied.

"And how long must I wait until it is safe for me again?" Raikou asked.

'That is hard to say. We'd need to find out what kind of radioactive isotope was used to make the tracking material. It could be gone in a few days or years to come.' Radara stated.

"Well, its not like I'm walking for a while. I'll be stuck here, so I'll be under the protections of the temple. I'm not sure that I like the thought of being tracked however." Raikou stated before looking to Thomas. "And you, you were hit too. This device... did it track you as well?"

"I don't know, but it didn't seem to be. I'll dive into meditation with Radara and we can cleanse my body though. Vivian's team did a lot with studies with isotypes and how to clean them up. One study was trying to give pokeballs a way to mimic the move Recover. Powerful psychics were able to remove certain types of radiation from their bodies with it. Hopefully I can do the same." Thomas stated.

"Or... I recall that you pulled that dart out as soon as you got hit right. Maybe you didn't get enough of a dose to affect you, and they aren't tracking you. They had plenty of time to try it between us leaving Coral Coast City and just getting here." Xent replied.
