Chapter 53 : A Nervous Wait

Sarah and Flare were walking through the streets again, an aura guardian, one of the Arceus Division Rangers, and even a pair of police at her sides as the group of walked through town. It was hardly for her protection though, the group of them all heading over to the police station again after meeting in the Aura Oasis about a number of things.

"You're going to make sure those bastards get what's coming to them right?" Another pastor asked as they passed one of the churches, a lot of people extremely angry with the Knights who had attacked Latias and Latios when trying to go after Thomas or protect Coria.

"Just let us handle it okay. Trust me, they aren't going to just walk." Sarah stated again as she moved with them and down to the police station which was currently blocked off. She had wanted to let the police handle things on their own, but with her connections to Thomas and the legendary pokemon, people came actively looking to her for answers now. She still wasn't sure how to respond this as they reached the police station where a growing number of angry people were gathering.

There were of a people screaming, trying to get inside, demanding the immediate punishment of the two knights that were caught. Sarah and her group were allowed in easily and once more guided back to the cell block where one of the two knights was sitting down in an interrogation room, with Hammah waiting for her. Sarah could easily tell that it was woman who had attacked her in the staircase. Without her outfit though and in just some basic clothing, Sarah finally got a proper look at her almost thought that she recognized her, but she wasn't sure from where.

Sarah was quickly let inside alongside Hammah and a ranger that she didn't recognize. The knight just looked up at Sarah slowly and then towards the ranger as Sarah and Hammah took a seat on either side of the room. "You ready to talk yet?" The ranger asked.

"About you releasing me and giving me an apology for this giant mistake." The woman quickly asked.

"There is no mistake about holding you here." The ranger said taking a seat at the table beside her.

"You have no right to hold me like this." The woman countered.

"Oh we've got plenty. Assaulting two rangers and their pokemon, attempted murder of a special guest of the Guardians of Alto Mare which is comparable to attacking a government official, conspiracy to plot against the legendary pokemon potentially causing a natural disaster level event in a high population area... Any of those alone can let us hold you indefinitely until we find out what's going on. The breaking and entering, use of pokemon to battle in an illegal manner, possession of an illegal weapon, fake ID and illegal pokedex, possession of equipment that we know is used by what is currently classified as a terrorist group, and most of all defacing a building in use by the legendary pokemon which here in Alto Mare is legally considered the equivalent of a government office... well all together, that's enough to put you away for multiple life sentences." The ranger started just sipping his coffee.

"No... no you don't have anything." The woman repeated.

"Video footage and eye witness accounts prove otherwise... and I'm not sure if your familiar with it, but in special circumstances, there are a number of various pokemon who can be brought into an interrogation to further the collection of evidence. Lucarios are rare to bring in because of the you really have to work with them, and usually need a good bond with a trainer to get the best results, but I've caught a lucky break recently. You see, Arceus herself has trained some to start... well doing something. If she wants to start interacting with the world again, that's... her choice I guess, not like I can argue with a god after all. In any case, this lucario here..." The ranger pointed towards Hammah, who gave a bow.

"She is an aura guardian. And lucarios whole big thing is something called Aura. A properly trained lucario can read the aura of any living thing, making it easy to find people. They are great for trying to find people lost in a collapsed building or such, and can even help point out people who intend to cause problems. It just takes a long time to be able to read aura that easily, years of work and they usually end up bonding with the trainer rather then the department which is why they aren't trained for law enforcement practices that much. But the reason why I have one here today though, and even brought Sarah is because aura can also be used to tell when someone is lying. Its going to make it a lot easier to get through this conversation and maybe move onto something else." The ranger explained, nodding to Hammah again and with a hand motion, let Hammah speak freely now.

'I assure you, any mental training that you might have had against psychic pokemon will not help against me. There is no lying to me. You may think your confident enough to lie your way of this, but there won't be any lying here, not as long as there is an aura guardian here.' Hammah stated.

"With enough training in aura, they can also talk with others. Usually, their aura only lets them talk with the one who they formed a bong with, but Hammah comes from a special group of lucarios, trained in aura since birth. Born in the Lucario Kingdom, and now personally aiding and aided by Arceus herself, she's a very unique asset, one I'm glad to work with. And one who won't let you lie to me. Now we already know that this tiara we confiscated from you helps block psychic types from inspecting you... or even noticing whoever is wearing it and we have reason to believe that you might have taken training against such a psychic inspection to say nothing of the permits that would need for such intrusive interrogations. But none of that applies to having a lucario here, since they aren't directly interfering with you or invading your mind. To a lucario, you're just an open book. This same thing applies to Sarah as well, since she seems to be an aura guardian herself." The ranger continued.

The woman just seem unimpressed though, but already Sarah and Hammah could feel a bit of worry from her. "I want my lawyer. You're holding me illegally. I was set up, and you know it. There are no eye witnesses, the video have clearly been faked, you're all setting me up and will let me go."

'Are you just trying to be annoying? Everyone in this room knows that's a lie. You, as one of these so called knights, A Knight of Arceus, believing yourself to be some greater person, attacked two rangers, their pokemon, and then attempted to kill Sarah because you hate her. You blindly follow orders, with no care for how gets hurt, as long as you do as some master just orders you to do. A master who can't even prove their words, who the World Mother Arceus herself has refused to summon. Five... Exactly five in your order your have felt a potential calling to the temples of the legendary pokemon around Japan. Only one was even granted an audience of any kind with the legendary pokemon, and they left you. Shouldn't that make you start thinking on if your order really does do as much as you claim to protect the world?' Hammah stated very bluntly.

"Surely you have to have noticed that the legendary pokemon aren't corrupted. They are actively reaching out, temples that you know are real have denied the knights specifically entry, but call to priests and other speakers, there is no true question that the return of the Aura Guardians and how Arceus has directly talked with a few leaders of the world. But... the Knights of Arceus... you've been intentionally ignored, the legendary pokemon want nothing to do with you. I've heard that they've even run knights clean off the grounds of a few temples. Doesn't that make you question that maybe... the knights are in the wrong?" Sarah asked.

"What ever your trying to do, it isn't working." The woman stated firmly, glaring hard at Sarah and Hammah, trying not to lose her temper. "This is harassment, you're holding me illegally and you know damn well that I'm not part of any of this. When I get out, and I will get out, I'm going to file a formal complaint with the Federal Government, and sue you all into oblivion. I was set up, and I demand to be released right now." She repeated, even more aggressively as Hammah shook her head.

'She can't even pretend to lie good. She's so focused on a rehearsed story, putting effort into repeating exactly what she told about to do if caught, its a joke to see in action now. That's going to be a bad thing for her, because now its going to be really easy to spot a lie. Ask her direct questions and I'll easily be able to point out any lies she tells. It won't help if she doesn't answer you honestly at all, but I can at least confirm what lies she tries to tell us.' Hammah stated.

Sarah just nodded as well. "I mean... it is kinda easy to see how rehearsed this was. But remember that we can only tell if she's lying when she knows she is. Her time spent with the Knights of Arceus... From what Dahlia tells me, they go out of their way to weed out certain view points. She might legitimately believe that she is serving her version of Arceus." Sarah stated.

'I still can't see how someone can worship a false Arceus.' Hammah stated, only for the woman to almost lunge at her, still restrained by the hand and leg cuffs that had her bolted to the table and floor.

"And I see we hit a nerve there. Not my intention, but it does mean that we are onto something now." The ranger stated.

"Let's try this one more time, a clean start. Forget yesterday and all those lies, just a clean new slate to work with. My name is Danny White, and I'm a Special Agent for the Pokemon Rangers, Arceus Division. We however, still don't know who you are, only that your carrying false identification. Due to the special circumstances surrounding this incident, I have two special guests here with today. Assigned as part of the Arceus Division, we have an Aura Guardian, a very special lucario named Hammah, trained in part by Arceus herself to help us out. And this is Sarah Sigil, a direct speaker for the legendary pokemon themselves." Danny stated, first motioning to Hammah again, and then Sarah.

"Also in part of the special circumstances of assault and attempted murder, you are being held indefinitely at this time, partially for your own safety from the mob outside. We are fully capable of proving that there is no mistake that you personally attacked two rangers and their pokemon, and attempted to murder Sarah Sigil. We have multiple angles of video footage, audio recordings, and found you in possession of illegal items with known connections to what is currently being treated as a terrorist group. Your lawyer... who we can't verify is a legitimate lawyer... is taking their time and delaying their trip down here trying to run out what they think is a clock that will force us to let you go. If he fails to show up in the next two days, you will be assigned a lawyer in his place, and even if he does show up, if we can't verify properly who he is, he won't be allowed to see you." Danny explained.

"Now, we already know what happened. We could take this to court tomorrow with the evidence that we already verified since the attack, and your friend will get a life sentence without question at this point, there was no hiding his attack against rangers, public officials, or the direct guests of our guardian deities. Even you have witnesses in your attack. The ranger's weren't the only one in that building when you broke in. Curator Johnson, a former mayor for the Alto Mare region, and even governor for the region was in the building and can confirm that you were the one who attacked Sarah. Even our current mayor, Kim Ashe was personally watching the video footage in real time as it happened. Its a little up in the air with your sentence right now though, but we can easily get a conviction with the proof we have right now, its just a matter of if you'd get just one life sentence, or consecutive ones. What we don't know is the full why of things and the longer that you stay uncooperative, the worse it gets for you. Your public life as it was is now over. Maybe you break out and go back to these knights of Arceus, but you'd be placed on the most wanted list across Japan. Maybe you can live with that, maybe not..." Danny shrugged some.

"Or... there is another option. You take a risk, and cooperate. You might even learn a few things along the way. No one was really hurt in your attack in the museum storage building, its just some minor bumps and bruises. You see, Coria was invited to that building, but we didn't attack her first. We just wanted to talk... Latias, Latios... and possibly Arceus just wanted to talk with her. Her blind aggression... your entire order's blind aggression... is why the legendary pokemon stopped interacting with the people." Danny started, and now the woman turned her anger towards Danny.

"You shut your mouth about things that you don't understand!" The woman snapped loudly, tugging on her handcuffs now.

"Except... I do. I've personally met with Arceus as part of the training for my position as a super visor for the Rangers, Arceus Division. I can't say I understand fully what Arceus is trying to do, she easily has a bigger understanding of the world then I do, but I know enough right now. My job is to help protect the legendary pokemon right now, to keep the peace, be an escort, act like a middle man to send out invitations and all that stuff. But... the Arceus Division aren't speakers for the word of Arceus. That's the job of the Aura Guardians, the priests and preachers... and despite your prejudice, people like Sarah Sigil and the brother of the legendary pokemon, Thomas Falston." Danny stated.

At the mention of Thomas's name though, both Sarah and Hammah quickly noticed a heavy change in the woman's aura, Sarah scooting back a bit, as Hammah barred some teeth. "I... don't think Thomas needs to be anywhere near her... Anywhere she goes, let's make sure its not some place that he's going to be around."

"You have no idea what th-" The woman started, only for Sarah cut her off.

"No idea what Thomas is, what evil he brings, how much damage he can cause. Is there anything that you don't rehearse?" Sarah sighed loudly. "I know exactly what and who he is. I've met Arceus, I've seen how much care she gives him, how she loves him, feels sorrow for the lost of her children dead at the hands of the knights... Its why the legendary pokemon faded from public view, to passively show that they didn't agree with the actions of your misguided order... Do you even know that the founding father of your order created the knights out of jealousy, of spite, that he was so conceited that when the woman he wanted loved Thomas more... They were all family, brothers and sisters with the legendary pokemon, all direct children of Arceus. And when the woman he wanted choose Thomas, he used the confusion of when someone did attack Arcues to declare open war against all of the god-children just to spite Thomas." Sarah countered hard now.

"You... be... quite." The woman snarled now, tugging harder on her restraints, Danny just sighing.

'She has no interest in listening to us. Maybe Latias and Latios can talk to her and she'll believe them, but she refuses to even consider listening to us. If she refuses to listen to them, you should expedite her trial. Right now, she's just a trained killer who will kill anyone she's told to by the knights, refusing to even listen to reason.' Hammah stated, still baring a few teeth, before sitting back.

"Not what I wanted to hear, but if you're sure about that." Danny stated slowly getting up. Going back to the door, he got up and knocked a few times, the door opening for Sarah, Hammah, and himself. "Triple the guard on her, no chances on anything. Isolated cell, no visitors without my direct consent. And start fortifying one of the news rooms. I want a dozen men at the ready when Latias and Latios try talking with her tomorrow." Danny stated, making very sure that the woman heard her.

As they left the room and returned to the offices, Sarah's attention was quickly drawn towards one of the TVs on the wall. She was too far away to hear it, but by random chance, she did manage to catch the headline though, which mentioned the Sigil Family. Given how Sarah herself was still a very big thing in the news and her connections to what was going on, she wasn't too surprised that her family was in the news a bit as well. She couldn't catch the headline proper, but she did see the image of her mother and father there above the headline. The story was about to start in full and Sarah rushed down the hall a bit towards the lobby, but just as she was about to get there, the channel had changed.

"Can you flip back a channel on that TV?" Sarah asked the woman at the main desk.

"And you ar... oh. Oh my mistake. Sorry about that Ms. Sigil." The lady almost snapped at Sarah, Sarah understanding the bad day she was having given the hassle of everything that was going on. "I can't do that though, I don't control the TVs. That's the office in the back, all of em are controlled from there. Too many incidents with someone trying to change the channels for us up here a few years ago." She quickly explained, trying to calm herself down to talk with Sarah.

"Something up there Sarah?" Danny asked following her a bit curious.

"Just... saw my family name in the news on a headline, but didn't have to read it." Sarah stated.

"Come on back to my office. If that lady won't cooperate, then I really don't need your help sadly. You can take a break there while we let her think on things, see if she's more willing to talk in an hour or two while you take a chance to read up on the news." Danny stated, leading Sarah back to his office at the station.

Sarah just followed along as Hammah moved up to her. 'Have you really been avoiding your family all this time?' Hammah asked Sarah's aura giving a lot of things away right now and Sarah knew it looking to Hammah.

"Yeah... yeah, being around them was more dangerous then hiding was. And if I tried to call them or something, then it would have just caused more problems. Maybe with the all the help we're getting though, it might be safe to see them, they could have protection." Sarah said softly.

'I could ask Morag if someone could go and help them too. You've done so much for us, and you're helping the World Mother, surely we can think of something.' Hammah offered.

"Thanks for the offer, but its just very complicated." Sarah sighed, Danny opening the door to his office for them.

"Hammah, thanks for the help today. You can do a few more rounds of the city. Let's make sure that there aren't any more knights in the city right now." Danny stated, Hammah nodding quickly.

'My offer is still there if you want it. It would feel wrong not to try and do something after all that you've done to help the World Mother though.' Hammah said, before going off to find her partner again, quickly moving to catch up to him.

Sarah quickly sat down and Danny handed her a spare laptop. "Here. Its a spare I bought, use it just to browse the net and keep up on the news." He said and Sarah nodded, taking it to do some quick searches herself.

There were dozen of various news articles written about her, and plenty about her parents lately too, really showing the problems that her parents were having. As she read up on the article though, she was feeling a bit less confident about things.

"Hey Danny... could you call my house for me?" Sarah asked slowly as she read up on just a few of the articles. "I... well I'd rather talk to my mother first."

"Yeah, I can place that call for you." Danny said but he could easily tell how troubling this was for Sarah.

"You sure your ready for this?" Danny asked as he sat beside her sipping some coffee, taking the receiver that was offered to him.

"Yeah... yeah I need to do this. Just ask for my mother Angela. I'm hoping that she'll be... calmer at the moment." Sarah said dialing the number and just waiting for a moment.

Danny just nodded and listened for a few, waiting for someone to pick up before speaking. "Hello, is this Sigil Residence?" Danny asked. "Hello Ethan, my name Danny White, a Pokemon Ranger with the Arceus Division. I'm looking to speak with Angela Sigil please. I have some information about her daughter, Sarah Sigil." Danny started, only for Danny to look right at Sarah.

"I see. They are currently out of the residence... on an emergency trip to Alto Mare because Sarah was seen there. Well yes, I can confirm that she's here." Danny stated, Sarah even more worried now.

"Yes, I'll let her know. She's right here with me now and yes she's safe. If you could do me a favor though, and try to get in contact with them, it would be a great help if they called the office here before they arrived. Just have them ask for Danny White and whoever answers will connect you to me as fast as they can. I'd like to make personal arrangements for them when they arrive, make it easier for them to meet with Sarah without getting lost in the city right now... Alright, thank you very much Ethan. Yes yes, I will. And try to have a nice day yourself." Danny said, before hanging up.

"They're on the way here already?" Sarah asked, very worried now, having just wanted to talk to them on the phone first.

"They'll be here in two days, possibly early evening." Danny said. "When they arrive, I'll make sure to let you know and don't worry. I'll have a private escort arranged for both of them the whole time that they are here."

"Thank you." Sarah said, giving a small nod of her head before slowly getting up. "I... I need to go tell the others that my family is on the way. Thanks for everything today."

"No... Thank you. You've been a big help. Maybe we can get her to talk. The whole point was to try and make contact with these knights right? Well, maybe its not this Coria, but a knight is a knight. Not killing them and making sure that the other knights know this is the first step here. Eventually, someone will have to reach out to us, or we capture more of them when they come to try and kill us again." Danny said, before looking down a bit slightly annoyed with himself and his bad choice of words.

"Sorry, didn't mean it word it like that. Look, you just worry about you at the moment. We'll try talking again in a few hours, but other then that, Latios is going to try talking to her tomorrow evening after we let her watch the news and a few other things. They've got a few announcements to work with tomorrow in preparations for the Tour de Alto Mare race. I hear that Latias wants to give the winner the medallion this year." Danny said getting up and opening the door for Sarah.

"You still did great today though. I look forward to some more of your help in the future. For now though, just focus on yourself. From what I hear, its going to be complicated meeting up with them again after this, but I think its the right thing to do. Try to go easy on them. Not everyone has your kind of understanding with the legendary pokemon after all." He said, leaving her there to side for a moment and leave when she was ready.

~xXx~

As Sarah returned to the garden late that evening, Thomas quickly noticing her and walking up seeing that something was wrong. "Hey Sarah, you okay there?"

"Hey Thomas... Umm. Well, I called my parents today. I missed catching them though." Sarah said slowly as Thomas walked up to her.

"You finally decided to give them a call? Well, its going to be fine. You left them a number right, so that means that they can just call you back? I mean, I hope it goes well for you, and when they do, you just take some time to talk with them." Thomas asked.

"No. Well... no not exactly. They're kinda on their way here to Alto Mare, and should be here in a day or two..." Sarah said.

"Wait... you're parents are on the way here?" Xent asked, having over heard her and now sitting up from the bench he had been on.

"Yeah... Look, I-I'm not sure if I'm ready to face them yet after what I did to them. Andrew told me a bit more about the situation with them, and the news didn't exactly paint a kind picture. There's a lot of fighting between them right now, all over me." Sarah said, looking over Thomas and Xent.

"I don't regret my decision, I can see now how important it was, but... maybe I could have done more to help them? I'm... I'm scared of meeting up with like this though." Sarah stated.

"The knights were turning over every rock to find us, you did the right thing. They were able to get into a castle protected by knights who were equally devoted to protecting their queen. If you tried anything more, it would've been risky. You did the right thing." Xent said while getting up and walking over.

"Besides, you won't be alone. And I promise I won't sock your Dad in the jaw." Xent added in a rather joking tone trying to lighten the mood.

"N-not helping right now Xent..." Sarah said softly, easily showing how concerned she was about things right now.

"Xent's right. If anyone is at fault here, its us, not you. We should have found a better way of dealing with the knights, we let them get too dangerous. But we were wrong about the world, they still want us. Your mother is religious right? She can appreciate you helping us right and can talk to your father about it right?" Thomas asked.

Xent though just stayed quite for a moment, before speaking again after seeing how much that didn't help he frowned and sighed, "Sorry... is there anything we can do to at least calm your nerves?" Xent asked when Sarah didn't answer Thomas.

"I... I don't know. My mother is religious, but I don't know if that's a good thing right now. She practices a different style of the church practiced here in Alto Mare. I mean they still worship Arceus, but not your mother. They think that "he" is the sole god of the world, and don't put faith into the legendary pokemon." Sarah finally said after another minute of silence.

"Its okay Sarah. We can sort this out. Latias and Latios are already preparing for the Knights if they try to come here, and will be ready for them. Dahlia's even preparing a little surprise herself." Thomas stated. "If you need a chance to sort our your personal life, take it. I'll ask around to see whose not busy to help you out. I'm sure Suicune would want to help, and I'm sure that there will be a few volunteers if we asked."

At the mention of her name though, Suicune slowly approached as the conversation continued. "Look, I've got nothing better to do right now. I can help however you want me to. You want me to just get some food and keep an eye for interruptions, I can do that. You want me to just stay out of the way, at least let me... I don't know, do something to help." Xent stated wanting to do something to help, even if he wasn't fully sure what he could do.

"Is something wrong?" Suicune asked as she walked up, looking over the group of them.

"Sarah's parents are on the way here. They'll arrive in a day or two and well..." Thomas just motioned lightly towards Sarah and it was easy to see how much this was stressing her out and had her worried.

"Congrat... this is not a celebration for you? You... Are you alright Sarah?" Suicune quickly asked, barely nuzzling her side some, ribbons rubbing her shoulders some.

"I... my parents are borderlined divorced, they are at complete odds about what to do about me. My father demands any information about me, and has publicly threatened anyone who wants to hurt me, and wants me to give up everything pokemon to come back home and try to restart my life... I know he means well, but he's always had opinions about my life as a coordinator, waiting for me to give it up and live a more... normal life, a doctor or accountant, or something like that. He was never fully supportive of my desire to be on the road, but I've always wanted to a like like that. He accepted it because of my mother, as long as I kept up with school and then pushed for college, trying to make me give up the whole pokemon thing. He didn't like it when I started taking classes with Professor Oak, to try and become a pokemon researcher." Sarah explained.

"And my mother was always okay with my choice about a pokemon journey, but she's... a bit religious, just not following your words entirely. She was maybe hoping that I'd find my path on the journey and make a good life for myself, but I think she was hoping for a more quite life for me... maybe married to Thomas. She's always been supportive of me, but I think that she was just pushing me to get closer to Thomas and wanted me live a quite simple life with him. And Andrew tells me that its been a major between the two ever since Cameran Castle." Sarah added.

"Hm... a talk with Suicune would definitely help you with your Mom. Your Dad though..." Xent sighed, already imagining what sort of scene he'll make. "I'm going to not give my normal advice, but instead explain to your Dad it's not his decision to choose your life. If... well, when he makes a scene, the best thing you can do is step away. I'm not seeing any 'good' way of this happening. Or am I being to glass half empty?" He asked, looking at Thomas and Suicune.

"Maybe a bit too much for Sarah..." Thomas said softly, Xent giving a slow nod.

"Look, we'll figure this out. If I get too out there because I grew up like that, just tell me to go away and I'll understand." Xent added, Suicune just still rubbing Sarah's shoulders.

"Allow me to talk with them. I'm sure that I can help them understand what has happened, and Xent can help a little. We have all been hurt by this, and Xent can show them your safety was a concern, but we did protect you and now... it is your choice to want to help us." Suicune stated, looking towards Xent.

"And they have will plenty of reasons to still be proud of you. You are mastering aura, you will be a great speaker of our words, and you eagerly want to help with a good cause, to keep the peace as much as you can and teach the world. Surely this shall be a wonderful path, one that your parents should be happy for you to take of your own choice. There is honor, respect, and a good life with this choice, I shall help them understand this." Suicune continued with a smile, nuzzling Sarah a bit more.

Xent looked at his arm again and frowned before giving a sigh. "Actually, it might be best if I'm just nearby. This arm isn't exactly going to convince either of them you're choosing what they would consider a good path."

"Allow me to explain that to them. You are a far better example that you might think Xent, and you have grown into a wonderful man. You are not done yet, and you can still do a great amount of things to help us, even now." Suicune stated.

"Is there anyone else you want me to ask for Suicune, to help you?" Thomas asked, but Suicune shook her head.

"Let us start small, Xent, you, Radara and myself shall all I help I could ask for to start. If they intend to come here, then we shall have plenty of time to help them come to realize the weight of these choices, and how they were not taken lightly." Suicune smiled, still giving Sarah a small hug with her ribbons.

Sarah and Xent were walking around the museum, it getting close to evening as Sarah looked over some of the various paintings and sculptures. Xent has once more heavily surprised Sarah with his knowledge of a great many things, the supposed history of the legendary pokemon and the myths that surrounded them. Of course, knowing the actual truth of things to a great degree, Xent found it rather interesting to compare the supposed myths that used to make up a great deal of his life before getting dragged into a different part of the world.

"Man, I was an idiot back then. If I had just spend some time here in Alto Mare instead of just passing through. Even when angry, so many of them can be nice to everyone else." Xent said, going to lean on a bit of railing, only to stumbled a bit still not use to missing an arm. Sarah easily caught him though, Xent adjusting himself some to just lean on the railing over looking over the D.M.A. for now.

Latias was busy adjusting things with a crew of trusted people, obviously going to give part of the museum a make over and upgrade the security before wanting to even access the D.M.A. and its technology at the moment. From their vantage point, it was a nice moment to take a break while some crews around them were busy taking down a few of the paintings there was hung up around the D.M.A.

As the crew took down another painting, Xent took a glance at it, nodding some. "And that's one of the most influential pieces of artwork concerning the legend of Latias and Latios in the world... well formerly influential. Ya know its really weird knowing that history is about to change, well our understanding of it." Xent noted, the crew holding up the painting in front of Xent for a moment.

"You know this piece?" One of the asked.

"Mostly. Not the art itself per say, but the story that goes with it. It supposedly told the legend of how Latias and Latios controlled the water of the city. There was a lot of debate for a while what kind of pokemon the two of them were, including a lot of speculation about them being water types by many scientists not native to the region. A lot of people had a lot of theories about why they fell into seclusion, but eventually it was just accepted that they... didn't want to be around too many people as the city kept growing. I mean we know why they choose to hide away now, but there was lots of speculation about things. Still, Latias and Latios remained one of the most known, well most recognized of the legendary pokemon in all of Japan, but many thought that they went extinct. The people of Alto Mare never stopped believing in them though." Xent stated.

"You really do keep continuing to impress me." Sarah said as she nodded a bit, sort of familiar with such things herself, but Xent always seemed to be very knowledgeable about the various myths and legends surrounding the legendary pokemon.

"Kinda part of my... well that thing I had going before I met you and Thomas. Didn't trust the world for anything, only trusted myself to do what other's wouldn't." Xent sighed some, only to slowly stand back up. "You want a drink or something? That cafe next door should have some special teas lined up this evening, I'm up for trying some if you want." Xent offered.

"That sounds great." Sarah smiled, following Xent as he started to walk along. "And I guess you can share a few more stories about the legendary pokemon with me."

As Sarah and Xent stopped in the cafe next to the museum, a ranger was quick to move in and began looking for them. "Sarah Sigil?" The ranger called out, Sarah looking up from her tea.

"Is something wrong?" Sarah asked slowly standing up.

"We just got word that your parents have arrived in Cherrygrove City. They've already made arrangements for a private sea plane to get here. We expect them to arrive in the next forty minutes to an hour, as soon as the weather clears enough for them to take off." The ranger stated, coming up and handing her a note.

Xent was quick to notice how nervous Sarah seemed to be once more, getting up slowly with her as Sarah quickly read the note. "Come on... Let's get back to the garden. We should use the chance to make sure we're cleaned up and be properly presentable." Xent stated getting up and nodding to the ranger.

"Arrangements are being made for their arrival right? I want Hammah there to greet them, but ask her to be quite for a moment if she would please. Sarah probably needs to be the first one to really talk with them once they get here." Xent said.

"I'll get Gale and his partner to help escort them. Hammah might be a bit talkative wanting to try and help Sarah. Otherwise, we'll make sure that they'll be safe on the way to the gardens. I'll tell Danny to escort them to the main entrance." The ranger stated, and Xent nodded.

"Come on Sarah... let's go get ready." Xent said, looking back to Sarah.

"Yeah... yeah we should go get ready..." Sarah said, giving a small sigh, slowly rubbing the hair to the side of her face just trying to calm herself, or maybe distract herself for a moment.

A quick walk back to the gardens and Suicune was waiting for them. For once though, Xent even asked for Suicune to help them get cleaned up and get ready to meet the Sarah's parents. Verna and Radara even helped a little as well while the others were all busy with things, Verna helping them to get washed up while Radara set up a place for them to talk.

It had been a long time since Sarah had dressed herself up to any real length, but for the first time since she choose to stay at Thomas's side again, Sarah took the chance to get dressed up a bit more then usual. Suicune had even prepared a few presents for both of them just for this. Suicune had asked Palkia to visit some of their older temples and shrines looking for a few things, and Palkia was happy to do so. For Sarah, Suicune had gifted her a pair of emerald and gold ear rings, shaped like the Cross of Arceus. She had even gotten Merida to make her a modified aura guardian outfit, but partially dress themed rather then the tradition outfit.

Clearly more formal then the standard aura guardian outfit of old, it shared the same colors and theme of the aura guardian outfits, but its appearance now included shorter sleeves, a fancier collar, and a much nicer hat. It also had a skirt around the waist now, just barely above the knees in the front but growing in length around the back, the skirt didn't hinder movement at all while still giving it a formal look. It was still easy to see the aura guardian outfit it was based on for those who were familiar with the outfits and yet, held an added elegance to it.

It was easy to tell that Sarah wanted to impress her parents when they arrived, and took lots of care to clean herself. She took plenty of care to make sure she was dressed up nice and proper. Sarah also choose to wear the aura gauntlets that Mew had given her. While they didn't match the outfit perfect given its more formal appearance, Sarah wanted the extra little bit of help with her own aura today.

Finally walking out of the changing room with Verna, Xent was there waiting for her, only to blush heavily. "You look... really beautiful Sarah." Xent stated as Sarah nodded a little, a minor blush on her own face as she looked over Xent.

While not as well dressed as he had been during the double wedding, he was still cleaned up in full and wearing some kind of suit. It appeared to be some kind of mostly white suit with red accents on his left side with an image of Latias on the left side of his chest, and blue accents on the right side, an image of Latios on the right side of his chest. Aside from the left arm which has been trimmed back to in a way show off his bandaged arm, the suit easily made Xent stand out a bit, like he was from a rich family.

"You... you wear that well Xent. You almost look high class, like you'd been wearing that for years." Sarah said, still impressed with how much he could be cleaned up.

"I will try my best to be respectful today." Xent stated as Verna smiled some.

'I need to get discuss with Zai. I will leave this matter to you two and Suicune. I hope it goes well for you Sarah.' Verna stated, walking away now that she was done helping for the moment, Xent sparing a glance at Verna wondering what she was up to, before looking back to Sarah and Suicune who was approaching now.

"You both look very nice today. Are you ready?" Suicune asked with a smile, standing between them looking happily over them both. Sarah just remained silent for a few moments though, taking a few breathes, before her pokedex's alarm went off, indicating that her parents were supposed to be in the city by now.

"As... ready as I'll ever be I guess." Sarah said slowly with another slow deep breath.

Suicune lead them back towards the main entrance where Radara had finished setting up a table and set of chairs for them, the same chairs and table from the wedding. Radara had even taken the liberty to prepare some food and drinks for them. A few bottles of light alcohol, a pitcher of water that Suicune had purified, and some other various drinks that the town had happily donated to Latias and Latios, Radara tried to have something to drink for all of them. As for food, Radara had chosen some of the fancier foods that had been donated to them, attempting to try and show some level of class and comfort for Sarah's parents to relax some.

'For this event, I shall leave you to your own devices, as well as your own thoughts. If it becomes necessary, I shall have Thomas and Andrew come join you, merely call out and I shall take notice.' Radara stated as she gave a small nod and then walked off.

Xent went to pull out a seat for Sarah, but Suicune had already pulled out seats for both of them, as well as adjusted the large bench that was there for her rest in. They didn't have to wait more then a minute before the illusion by the main entrance shimmered showing someone was through, and already Sarah could hear her father Joseph yelling.

Gale walked in first, trying to lead the way, and behind him was Gale's partner, holding Angela and Joseph's hands to get through the illusionary wall.

It was already easy to see how problematic things were even before they got through wall, with someone screaming about tricks or something, before at last the ranger started to come through. Almost dragged through, Sarah's parents finally started to come through the wall, and the second that Joseph saw Sarah, he rushed forward ripping his hand from the ranger's.

"Sarah, you get out of that silly costume and get packed up right now. We're going back home, and we will fix this disaster of a kidnapping! I swear when I see that boy-" Jospeh started strong and angry.

"Thomas did not kidnap me. I stayed by his side by personal choice..." Sarah quickly stated.

"That's a lie! He ruined your life, and he will pay for it!" Joseph snapped, but Sarah just stood up slowly and pointed to the seats for him and Angela, who was coming up quickly.

"I'm sorry for not calling, but things were dangerous and then I got scared okay... scared of how you would react, of how you were taking me doing what I could to try and save your lives. Please, sit down and I'll explain everything." Sarah added.

"Joseph Sigil, you sit down and behave right. Thomas is not to blame for this." Angela yelled out at her husband.

"You be quite... Sarah's coming back home right now, and you're moving out!" Jospeh shouted.

'Oh boy here I go punching again!' Xent thought to himself, allowing a moment of enjoyment at the thought of giving Sarah's father a right hook across the jaw while keeping his composure. 'For Sarah, for Sarah.' He kept thinking to himself. He had doubts about salvaging anything with the father, but her mother was well within reason. For now he wasn't going to say anything until the opportunity presented itself.

"Please, calm down. You are here now, and we can explain things." Suicune stated, slowly sitting up on her bench, Joseph looking around confused, much like Angela. "I am Suicune, or as some may better know the legends that surround me, Suicune, the purifier." Suicune stated, bowing her head, and even lifting a paw to her chest in a type of bow.

"What madness is going on around here!" Joseph yelled out.

"You show more respect here! This is a temple to our lord." Angela now yelled out, knowing that this was supposed to be tied to Arceus somehow, but not sure how at the moment.

"If you would just sit down, I'll explain everything." Sarah tried to say again.

"You're coming home right now and we're fixing this whole disaster!" Joseph yelled again.

"There is no need to yell. I'm an adult now... I can make my own choices now. Listen, just take a seat and I'll explain things. " Sarah repeated again.
