Chapter 58 : Reclaiming Home

Intending to ask Mew for help, Dahlia knew what weapon she would take up for a while to help give herself better control over her own actions, or so she had hoped. While any of the weapons of the god-children would do, she only knew of a few right now, and the one that seemed the most restrained to her was Spanky. The next time that Dahlia saw Mew, it was a few days after Arceus and the leaders of Japan gave a very public announcement. With the secret of Spanky already revealed and Lugia still giving Mew more stories from throughout the ages, Mew was happy to offer it to Dahlia and even went to go get it when asked.

Less then a day after being asked, Mew didn't just return with a single Watcher weapon though. Mew returned very early the following morning with a few other Watcher weapons besides Spanky. Among them were the few that they already knew that Mew was in possession of, the weapons that Mew had collected and stored in the Tree of Beginning.

[Here here!] Mew smiled rushing over to Thomas, Radara, and Dahlia as he teleported back into the gardens, happily cheering out. He came flying down in an overly amused spiral almost chasing his own tail for a moment, carrying Spanky in his hands, but also with six other weapons behind him. [Here is Spanky! So many stories and fun times! Silly snorlax, making Ether mad like that. Shoulda known better then to take food from Hope, that make Ether very unhappy.] Mew laughed some handing it over to Dahlia, before turning around to grab the other weapons that Mew had grabbed from the Tree of Beginnings.

A large two handed mace with a head nearly as large as a metapod in a very ornate design rounded on one side and spiked on the other, the mace head almost looked like a crescent moon, the spikes were on the inside of the moon. [And here is Mocah's mallet, big hammer, the world is your nail!] Mew laughed handing Thomas the mace.

Reaching back again, this time grabbing a crook. Adorned with gems, it stood out as a a very shiny walking stick that would grab attention and shined in the light, but was otherwise just a crook. [And uh... oh oh Ravick's funny curly walky stick, like the herders have. I maked it sparkle good.] Mew cheered also handing the crook to Thomas.

Mew then turned back, doing a fancy spin and then quickly flying circles around the next weapon, a massive nearly four meter long weapon. A lance with a one meter handle that ended with a large sphere at the end, the lance had a spiral design to it, before coming down to a three sided sharpened point. [And the big pointy stick that Sheena used when riding Albonis! Big stick for jousting!] Mew declared handing over the four weapons that he had kept in his den.

These weren't the only ones that Mew had however, but he did for some reason keep them covered, large clothes holding the other three. [I finded more since you came to play with me back home though after the first wedding got ruined. Nasty bullies, throwing all that good food to the ground and stomping my cake I getted for you!]

Radara quickly made sure not to translate that comment though as she saw Xent walking up with Sarah, and behind them Arceus. Unveiling the first, Mew held up a small pair of weapons and metal balls. The twin kamas, short single handed sickles were rather compact, but had a pair of heavy rings on the bottom, and a few rings of chain attached to both, although one had few more then other. Much like the kamas, the two metal spheres also had a few rings of chains on them, Mew seeming a little unhappy now as he unveiled them.

[Sorry sorry, but this is how I finded Gree's ball and chain pointy handle things! We must ask for help making new chains to put them back together, I couldn't the rest of the chains.] Mew stated, putting them in a box what was on the table, Radara quickly taking out of the box and removing the clean blankets that had been in the box that Mew just set them on.

Going for the next covered weapon, Mew once more cheered up though. Taking off the cover that was hiding them, Mew stuck his little arms into the gauntlets. The twin gauntlets had large wrist guards, and bulbous spikes between the knuckles showing that they were used as much for offense as they would be used to defend with. Mew laughed a bit as he gave a few punches in the gloves that were just way to large him, before spinning around and flying upwards with one fist pointed high with a loud cry. [YaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaH, Take that bad man!] Mew cried out before coming back down and putting them in Thomas's hands. [Zane would have loved the silly hand fighting today! Oh oh, do you think she would have had her own cartoon if she were here today? Or button pushy game on the magic screen?] Mew asked eagerly.

[And finally!] Mew turned back to the last of the items he had with him, pulling back the cover to reveal a sharpened metal disc, a nine inch wide chakram that Thomas knew very well. [I have Abou's sharp throwing disc...] Mew started to cheer, only to slouch some, holding it carefully along the rounded inside edge. [I have only have this one though. I can't find the other three.] Mew whined.

"You did good Mew. Thank you very much for these right now." Thomas said as he set the weapons on a table beside them.

"Thank you Mew." Dahlia smiled, Thomas and Radara taking the others while Dahlia held onto Spanky, giving it a few slow twirls, testing its weight, looking for the perfect center of balance for her hands and mind to grasp. Although the though of Ravick's crook did interest her when she saw it, after the battle in the distortion, she wanted something a bit larger and easier to block with as well as weighted to inflict harm when she needed to.

Unlike with Gali's halberd with its hidden separation feature that Dahlia knew so well, Dahlia had almost no experience directly with Ether's boat oar however. Dahlia had on more then once occasion used a boat oar in combat to defend herself and others when on ships, and she knew that she would be able to learn how to use it easily, having more then enough experience over her life times to master this. "Yes... yes thank you very much Mew. I will put this to good use, spanking those who deserve it." Dahlia said as she held Spanky up beside her now, which still dwarfed her in height.

As Xent, Sarah, and Arceus walked up though, Latias and Latios were also busy bringing something over. "Was I seeing things... or did Mew just do a spinning shoryuken right out of a fighting game?" Xent asked, not sure how he felt about the action.

"I don't know what your talking about, never got into any of the arcade style fighting games." Dahlia said as she looked to Xent.

"It was that spinning... ya know what, nevermind. I don't think I want to know... or give him more ideas." Xent sighed, looking over the weapons that were given to Thomas, Radara, and Dahlia. As Latias and Latios came up, they set down a large tray of tools though, sculpting tools made crystal and even a few the same shade of blue metal as the weapons.

'Here... we have a gift for you as well. We... well if we already collected a few of them, why not start collecting the rest of them.' Latias said, setting the tools out as Latios pulled up a few large crystalline logs taken from the Tree of Beginning long long ago, waiting to find a use for them.

'You can make podiums for each them, or plagues, or stands, whatever you feel would be nice. We'll happily let you display them here in the gardens.'Latios offered.

'We can happily spare some room for them.' Latias added.

"Being able to recollect them all will be no easy task, but... I would like that if we can." Thomas said.

'Returning the sigils and icons of our kind... bringing them all back together in one place. I too would like to see this.' Radara spoke up rather eagerly, her tail moving to her bare neck. 'I dearly miss my own sigil... It would be nice to have it back and to display them all if we can.'

[You want to collect the collars of our brothers and sisters too!? Oh oh, wait here, wait wait. I have seven back home! I'll go get them!] Mew stated, before suddenly teleporting away faster then anyone could ask about them.

Hearing the conversation however, Arceus had another idea though. "Do you truly intend to try and collect them all again? I too would like to see them gathered up once more. It has always felt wrong to let them stay lost to history, but we always knew that we could get them later. With her our return... perhaps now is the time." Arceus stated.

'There are two sigils in the museum here in Alto Mare. I'll go them this evening after the museum has closed. The curator will surely understand.' Latias smiled, seemed eager about the idea.

"I... would prefer that we keep Tavu's spear over Zini's gravestone though. I... I want it to stay there, even if we find her sigil. I know it will take time, but if we do find her sigil, can you place with Tavu's spear?" Dahlia asked.

"If we ever find out what happened to Zini and her sigil, I give you my word I will personally take it to Serene Sanctuary and leave it to rest upon her grave." Thomas stated.

"I... have a request myself on this matter though. There is... another place where I would like to keep the icons and sigils of my lost children, your lost brothers and sisters. If … if we are to truly return to the world, then I would like you to have a proper home, a place to rest and grow. It seems only fitting now." Arceus stated slowly, unsure of her own words for a moment, but still speaking, almost forcing herself along.

Almost at once, Thomas and Radara turned to Arceus. "Are you suggesting the temple that you had hidden away?" Thomas asked, Thomas trying to pick and choose his words, not wanting to upset his mother just in case. Dahlia slowly turned to listen however, not knowing at all where Arceus was suggesting that they gather the weapons and sigils of the watchers.

"I had never meant to hide it away but when... when it happened, it was too much for me to bear finishing at the time. Perhaps now though, I should finish what I had started. Awakened as I am now, although still far from my true self or with my full power, I can still finish the sanctuary I had intended to call home for you." Arceus said slowly.

Radara just bit her lip though, even Thomas a little concerned. 'I... am unsure that such a place is as safe as you would have for us. The Knights of Arceus had discovered that place. They had set up a camp trying to enter its location down the river from its door, outside of its direct field of influence. Worse, one of the knights in particular, a man named Samuel who Dahlia has explained being a major zeolot knows of the temple and has his personal guard attack us upon our exit of the location.'

"We made sure to reinvigorate the defenses you had left there, and they were still extremely strong when we arrived. I have no doubt that after we closed the door, they never would have gained entrance, but by now they surely know of it and are attempting to study it in full."

Dahlia was just left very confused, but the mention of the name of Samuel quickly made her firmly grip Spanky now, and even look back towards Gali's halberd for a moment in rage, debating on taking up the halberd at least one more. She wanted to know more about this strange sanctuary that was mentioned though, but it was clear that she wanted to hit or hurt something, or rather someone. Verna feeling the disturbance teleporting into the garden though, and quickly moved up towards Dahlia wanting to calm her down.

"Are you talking about that place where Verna gave me a very aggressive bath to keep from trying to follow you guys into the weird building and then I got marked for death by the knights?" Xent asked.

Arceus was now very concerned hearing what was being said. "The knights know of the home that I would have given you?"

"Unfortunately yes, and I'm afraid that perhaps one other group knows as well. They call themselves Team Rocket, and they are an organized criminal collective operating in the Kanto and Johto Regions of Japan, and it was their leader who funded the creation of Mewtwo. The two groups appear to have come head to head a few times, but I don't know the extent of the problems between the two." Thomas continued.

Arceus slowly allowed a small scowl to cross her face however and as Xent looked up going to offer his own opinions, he quickly took a step back, not sure how he felt about being close to the literal god of the world as he sort of understood it being in a bad mood.

He slowly raised his hand, still looking away a bit cautiously. "I... have an idea." Xent started, his voice a little low not sure if he should be speaking right now.

"You have an idea?" Thomas asked, looking towards him only to give him a small worried look seeing how concerned he seemed to be.

"We... well we still have officials from Johto and the Japanese National Counsel here. They've been fairly lenient about recognizing the temples and other sacred sites around Japan as part of a new governing body under your command right? A dozen temples have already been given the highest class or protections that they can offer, full national protections and the like right?" Xent started, recalling large parts of the meeting between Arceus and the various leaders in Japan over the past few days.

"They did ask for a list of locations that you wanted given special permissions too right in addition to the temples that were already woken up? We... could ask for their help to clear the space right? The knights are technically listed as a terrorist group, so they already want to clean them up a bit, and it would only affect the Johto Order of Knights right... the worst one of the bunch? They... surely won't be stupid enough to take too much action against a unified governing body trying to aid Arceus right? That would destroy any attempt at peace they have right, which they kind of need right now... wouldn't it?" Xent asked, still keeping his voice a little low, a fearful uncertainty filling his tone since he'd never see Arceus like this before.

"Samuel would have to submit to the will of the Kings on this. If he denied the orders of the kings to allow this to happened, he would be disowned and marked as a traitor to the cause... and the knights don't take well to leaving traitors alive." Dahlia stated, still glancing back at Gali's halberd and some of the other weapons that Mew had collected.

"So far, the knights have left our temples alone once we have awakened them. While they have tried to gain entry, we have been careful with our blessings and they have not managed to obtain entry, and they haven't tried to force their way in. There have only been a few incidents with trainers trying and failing to gain entrance seeking to capture us, which the Rangers of the Arceus Division and the lucarios of the kingdom have stopped with ease." Suicune said as she walked up, following the conversation for a bit.

"The leading figures of Japan also seem mostly eager for our return as well... There are some who are unsure how to react to our return so suddenly, but there is still a lot of uncertainty. A dedicated place for the speakers of the word for the World Mother though may help put some concerns at ease though. But... how do we avoid conflict with the knights already trying to break into the temple?" Thomas asked.

"We have to announce it very publicly. Make it so that they can't be surprised by the arrival of others at the temple, and that its well known who all is going there. The knights need to keep some semblance of peaceful intentions right now. They've already gotten too much bad reputation already. Being treated as a terrorist organization from their recent attacks lately hurts any chances that they have of being able to keep operating as freely as they have been. If they want to cause any kind of trouble for the Japanese National Counsel by attacking them directly, it would be a disaster for them, and the Kings would be forced to completely disavow and disown anyone who risked revealing them right now, and forced to silence them." Dahlia stated.

"I will not have the home I had intended for my children be hounded and denied them." Arceus firmly stated now, still with a small scowl on her face. "Dahlia, please me join as I make arrangements for the home I would give you to be made safe again. Please, help me ensure that those would give us aid remain safe and help us avoid a major fight if we can."

~xXx~

A week of preparation to retake the entrance of home that Arceus had at once tried to make her children was slow, but needed. They couldn't risk starting open war with the knights, but they were still a problem that had to be dealt with if very carefully. The hope was that by giving them some time, they would vacate themselves and make it easier to reclaim the temple peacefully without incident.

The week spent preparing however was hardly wasted though. The evil had remained silent the whole time and the legendary pokemon were unsure how to feel about this. They continued to try working with the various leaders of Japan as materials were prepared for the temples. Using the silence to keep preparing the world for regular interactions with the legendary pokemon as they prepared however, this would hopefully give the people something to rally around when the evil finally began to reveal itself.

Hurk remained under surveillance, but so far he seemed to be waiting just like the legendary pokemon. Without knowing what the evil was planning, or why it had vanished, there was a lot of debate about leaving Hurk alone, but ultimately they decided that until he caused trouble personally, it was best to merely observe him.

A week later, six cargo helicopters loaded with various supplies were being escorted by Arceus, Lugia, Moltres, Latias, and Palkia. The helicopters were prepared in the kingdom of Rota, who had eagerly allowed such actions to take place, most welcoming the return of the legendary pokemon. Radara and Dahlia with a few of the lucarios from the kingdom had joined them and would be accompanying the others in the helicopters as well, Thomas waiting back in Alto Mare for Palkia to open a portal where the rest of them were waiting.

It was a slow annoying wait, but Radara kept Thomas up to date on everything, Arceus helping Radara and Thomas to feel connected even across such a vast distance. Thomas merely sat in meditation, sharing what Radar was telling the whole time. While there was some trouble involving a few trainers who seemed to be trying tail the group as they flew past, Lugia's psychic power gave away their names to the Rangers who were assisting them. A few direct messages from the Rangers sent right to them was enough to stop them however.

As they approached the temple that Arceus had built however, there were only trace signs that a camp had been set up there previously. A presumably large camp given the scale of space that looked like it had been cleared out along the river in the canyon, only some scaffolding and pallets remained now though, as well as signs of space dug out in the canyon walls.

There were no people present visibly however as the helicopters approached following the canyon. Lugia and Moltres cleared a small patch of the forest at the top of the canyon giving the helicopters space to land safely, carefully selecting a space that would possibly later be used to construct a landing pad for other aerial vehicles or deliveries.

As they all set down proper, Arceus moved to the entrance with Latios, Palkia, and Radara to the entrance. This left the others to get a little set up on the top of the canyon. The lucarios would begin looking for signs of anyone around them with the Rangers, while Dahlia and Moltres offered thier protection as everyone else began to unpack supplies from the helicopter.

As Lugia carefully ferried down some of the supplies to seal at the front of the temple where visitors could be granted passage, Arceus quickly made sure that the temple was still secure. It took her a little to make sure that everything was as it should have been, with Radara explaining what little they had done there last year. Once Arceus was sure it was all as it should have been then, Palkia finally opened a portal on the outskirts of the temple.

-x-

Thomas sat in meditation, Radara keeping him updated the whole time. At last, several hours after Arceus had left with those who would accompany her to start, Thomas finally stood.

"Verna... please calm down." Xent stated, not really use to being on this side of things. While he had calmed down his pokemon before, they usually were the ones calming him down during times of extremely stressful situations or mental breakdowns.

At first, everything was fine, the decision for Verna to wait in Alto Mare was accepted, appreciated even. As the first hour apart ticked apart however, Verna began to worry. From there, over the course of six hour trip, Verna had slowly devolved into pacing rather aggressively around the gardens.

"Verna, its fine. She'll be fine. She's with plenty of family who will keep her safe and sane. They won't let anything serious happen to her, and will hold her back if needed. Look... remember what happened there last time. I tried to break in, and you nearly drowned me to get me to think straight, it was that bad okay. We can't get in there, we need to wait for them to make it safe for us, alright?" Xent tried to reassure Verna.

Verna just barely looked to Xent though, before at last Thomas spoke up. "Palkia will be opening a portal in a few. Get the pallets ready." Thomas called out, Latias quickly moving to the center of the garden. A small stack of other supplies, mostly perishables and other materials that needed a softer touch and were at risk of breaking while on a long flight had been gathered on some pallets were waiting to be moved with them.

Thomas moved up, grabbing a few bags to start, and Verna rushed up quickly. Xent didn't know what to think right now, but still managed to get a pair of backpacks on, and lifted a small toolbox, what little he could do right now. Sarah, a few more lucarios, some more Rangers, and few priests were there all wanting to help out. It didn't take long for the portal to open, and then Verna rushed through.

"Verna! VERNA!" Xent screamed trying to rush forward him, forced to drop the tool box he had to follow her quickly.

Xent still couldn't use to the strange feeling of the portals, but with his arm like it was now, the shiver of cold over it for a second, but for now he rushed up and followed Verna. He grabbed her before she could step on the watery bridge, and held her tightly. "Verna... listen. You need to wait. Remember what it did to me. Think all of that fear, and what that fear might do to Dahlia." Xent stated, Verna slowing down at last hearing that, Xent giving a small sight of relief.

He slowly set Verna down as Suicune followed Thomas through the portal. Radara quickly greeted Thomas and then pointed upwards. 'Dahlia is still up top, offering aid to the rangers, lucarios, and pilots. She didn't want to see the home without Verna. She would like to see this with her.' Radara stated, Thomas giving a nod.

"I can understand that. Has a ladder or rope or something been set up for travel up and down the canyon walls yet?" Thomas asked, knowing that Verna would benefit from seeing Dahlia right now and there wasn't any direct trouble.

'They are working on installing a temporary rope ladder at the moment. If I've been following the plans laid out so far, they include a stair case to replace the ladder as a means of alternate access up and down the canyon walls in case of power outages, and some form of elevator built into the canyon walls once a full survey has been completed of the area. Lugia is ferrying goods up and down in the meantime.' Radara explained.

"And how safe is the temple right now?" Thomas asked with Verna starting to calm down, looking around for the ladder that was mentioned.

'We have seen traces of a camp, likely the one used by the knights attempting to study the temple. The size of it suggests a large work force use to be set up here but it has since been taken down, perhaps in a rush as it wasn't fully hidden. The lucarios have felt only wild pokemon around us, and I have sense no minds, but we cannot truly be sure. The temple itself is very safe and will offer vast protections, more then we had seen even. Mother feels sure that it will not be an issue once it is awakened in full.' Radara started.

'As soon as Mother is sure that we are safe and we didn't trigger anything else to make it dangerous for the others, she wishes to give the blessings to the others personally.' Radara continued, and Thomas nodded, Lugia coming down with another collection of large crates, slowly lowering herself into the water, and then using her psychic power to set the various crates down on the stone walkways.

"Welcome brother. Have the others made it through safely?" Lugia asked as she looked over the group of people who present, the portal to the secret garden of Alto Mare still opened.

"I believe so. Can you ferry Verna up to see Dahlia?" Thomas asked, Lugia nodded.

"I will do this for her. Verna... come here now, climb onto my back... yes yes, just like that, careful now. What has you is such a riot dear child?" Lugia asked, feeling how badly Verna was worrying and concerned.

'I know that I said that I trust Dahlia here, but what if the knights are here and just waiting?' Verna whined.

"Do not fear child. We are safe, and we shall help keep Dahlia safe." Lugia said, before taking off quickly and just shooting right up the top of the canyon.

"She's... gonna be okay right?" Xent asked still a bit worried.

'I'm sure she will. We'll know right away if anything happens. Verna fears what meeting the knights might to do to Dahlia's mental condition right now, but we will have no intentions of letting her fall right now.' Radara replied as she moved towards the large cross of Arceus on the floor of the canyon road while Thomas began to carry the weapons and sigils of the other watchers into the temple.

It didn't take long before Arceus called out to the others, telling them to come down. It was time for her to start handing out blessings now that she personally felt that the place was safe. Xent moved up into the cross of Arceus first along with Zai, and a few others who were immediately present.

A powerful golden light flowed off of the cross of Arceus etched into the stone path in front of the watery bridge and as Xent stepped on it, he once again felt that strange tingle in his the back of his mind. He was still unsure what to think of it, but unlike last time, he didn't try to shut it out.

It still bewildered Xent how much he had managed to start standing, in some essence, with the legendaries on such a regular basis. Xent mentally debated where he stood among them, if he was a good friend, or perhaps actually family, he wasn't sure. He did know that they certainly didn't seem to treat any differently then they usually treated each other, but his thoughts were all quickly interupted by a great scream. Stepping out of the light to find out what was going on, there was a sudden large splash in the river, something have toppled in hard and Xent could see movement in the water, before two gardevoirs surfaced.

Verna was panting hard as she regained herself, face with terror for a second, before slowly calming down. 'DAHLIA!' Verna screamed, even her telepathic voice panting hard. 'Why! What possessed you... why would you... ho... Dahlia!' Verna stuttered some, pulling her now messy hair out of her eyes a bit, trying to make it look more normal, before slamming her hands down to splash at Dahlia. 'You could have at least given me some warning! Or maybe have made sure I have something else to wear when I get out of the water!'Verna stated, still calming down, and when Dahlia splashed her back some, Verna couldn't stop a small laugh, Dahlia was clearly fine.

"Oh come now, we both love a good swim. And I packed extra outfits for everyone of us." Dahlia laughed some.

"DAHLIA!" Xent screamed out now, even Radara taken back by her actions. "What the fuck were you thinking! Just jumping off the canyon walls from that high up!?" Xent snapped, very concerned for Verna.

'You will refrain from doing that again Dahlia... I almost watched Thomas die when he fell from the cliff side just trying to find this place the first time! By all means, it should have been a fatal for him and I could have been left alone, forced to go through the pain of my brother, just like you! Do you want me to suffer life times of fear wondering if I'm going to lose as well doing that?' Radara snapped, and Dahlia turned slowly towards them, seeming to understand quickly that she did make a mistake.

'I am fine... I... I just wasn't expecting that.' Verna stated, trying to reassure Xent that she was fine, but understood the problem now as she swam over to Xent, who helped her up. Dahlia lifted herself up slowly, but seemed to be very quiet now.

"I'm sorry... I didn't know." Dahlia stated slowly, lifting herself up.

"Dahlia, that was a stupid decision!" Xent stated, glaring at her now.

"The waters of the temple won't let us die, they easily caught us. There was never any danger." Dahlia stated slowly, as Arceus walked up.

"Xent, please calm down. There is safety here, and Dahlia is right. This place will help protect them, and even you." Arceus said softly, gently pulling Verna and Dahlia to the cross of Arceus to give them both blessings.

'If you ever do that again... I don't want to see, hear, or even know about it...' Radara grumbled hard, quickly making her way across the watery bridge now, going to join Thomas to get away from the waters for the moment.

Thomas had already set a few of the weapons up against the crystalline pillars of the room. He still knew exactly had what sigil, and who had asked for which weapon as he walked through the pillar slowly. He took a moment at each one that he had set a weapon or sigil down at, wondering how he would make a stand for each one as Radara approached.

"And what did I miss that has you so annoyed?" Thomas asked gently, setting down another sigil on one of the pillars, letting it hang on a small outcropping on the side of the pillar's base.

'Dahlia had decided to jump from the top of the canyon into the blessed waters... with Verna screaming the whole time down. I mean Verna took it well once they were caught in the waters, but just seeing that...' Radara shivered hard, the memories of their last visit here still burned hard into her head, even Thomas giving a small shudder.

"I can understand why you don't want to know about that." Thomas stated, the memories of his fall still fresh in his head and understandably not very pleasant.

'Do you have any thoughts on how we might begin to collect the remainder of the treasures given to our brothers and sisters?' Radara asked, knowing that it was still a large task, and even now they really had no idea where to start.

"I can't say for certain. But I have put some thought into how I would like to see them displayed. I would like to see collars remade for each sigil, and hung just below the base of the crystals, and below it a simple stand to display the weapons of our kind. I... don't think it should be elaborate, and not tell any stories on their own. Just let them rest here, an icon of what they had been given, of what they had asked for. This whole temple is an icon of our history, and mother did so much to tell that story... I think it would be nice to leave her story as it is. We know their stories already and in generations to come, we will still know their stories. I think it would be best if we just let mother tell the story of her children instead of adding our own thoughts right now." Thomas said.

'There is some truth in this idea... and I can see the merit in it. Mother did ask us to collect them and return them here, and with all the work she has done here, perhaps we shouldn't make changes just yet. Merely having them returned would be enough for me for now.' Radara nodded, walking with Thomas to drop off the last few weapons.

Returning to the main entrance path, Xent was walking into the chambers slowly. "So... this is all of them? And that one by the front was yours. Or... well most of you anyway. Is uh... that one supposed to be shattered?" Xent asked as he was slowly walking into the temple, his eyes of course first drawn to the crystalline pillars, each of which held a perfect image of a human face and neck, surrounded by an evolutionary family of pokemon each, until at least he noticed that one was shattered.

"Tavu and Zini would have been displayed there, but we found Tavu's spear, the one I walked out of here with embedded in the wall beside it." Thomas explained, Xent giving a small nod.

'We can only assume that Tavu was responsible for its destruction, but we will never know the truth. It is their image though, and it will be up to mother if she wishes to rebuild it or leave it as is. We did gather all the shards, but there is no way for us to repair them, it would fall to her.' Radara explained, turning as a few others began to approach, some of the selected high priests who had come to offer help and learn the history of the Watchers.

Before their conversation could continue though, there was a loud gasp behind them as people kept entering and looking back, Dahlia and Verna had entered at last, Dahlia dropping the two that she had been using in shock.

"By the... what is... What is this place?" Dahlia gasped loudly, having initially walked eager into the temple, only to stop as she entered with Verna, both of them looking around. They had been drying off, but as Dahlia entered and looked around realizing what was around her, she just dropped the towel that she had been using, letting it fall to the floor as she just stood there for a moment.

'Is this... is this your entirely personal family?' Verna asked looking around in awe, only for Dahlia to rush in, rapidly looking over each and every pillar. A little more then halfway in though, she suddenly bolted down one of the rows of pillars, before coming to a stop. Verna rushed to keep up with her, and then stopped with her as Dahlia just slowly walked up to one specific pillar. A hand glued to her choker and the cross of Arceus upon it, Dahlia just looked up to the pillar.

A human face surrounded by three other faces, a raltz, a kirlia, and of course a gardevoir, Dahlia stared intently up at the pillar. 'This is... This is Argyle?' Verna asked slowly, Dahlia giving a slow nod as she just jolted forward and wrapped her arms around the pillar as best she could. She could hardly even reach the halfway mark around the pillar, but as soon as she touched it, she gave a small smile.

She could feel power in the crystalline pillar, a power that was shared between herself and her brother Argyle. Verna could only smile slowly herself, having never felt Dahlia's mind so at ease, walking up and looking carefully over the image. "This is Argyle... my brother. Just as I remember seeing him fifty-six years ago." Dahlia smiled, looking up slowly.

Thomas, Radara, and Xent all walked up to watch, although Xent did keep his distance. "I'm... I feel like I need to apologize for not revealing this place, but I felt that it was up to mother to share it's existance. We didn't know about it either until just before Mew caused all those problems two years ago." Thomas explained.

'We felt it better to wait until Mother was ready to reveal this place.' Radara added, Dahlia turning to look at them slowly.

"What... exactly is this place?" Dahlia asked as she slowly let go of the pillar, and then just grabbed and held onto Verna, who happily returned the hold, both leaning into each other happily right now.

"It is the home that I had meant to give you all." Arceus stated as she walked in at last, following the conversation, walking over to them. "I... am sorry again that I had hidden this place. I had spent a few centuries making it, bit by bit over time. When you have all taken up the oath to defend us after the War of Legend, I knew I wanted to do something special for you all, but I lacked the power to do much. I started with just the mural I had started on the back wall, giving what little power I could here and there, a little power that would not hinder my attempts to gather myself again." Arceus explained, moving and kneeling down beside them.

"Over time, I began to do more, and eventually I realized what I really wanted to do. I wanted to give you all home, space of your own to continue to grow, to further your journey into adulthood. And so I started to build this place for you. I could only do it bit by bit though without risking too much power, but in the end I... when your brother attacked me that night, I..." Arceus started, looking down in sadness.

"You don't need to explain. We all know that … that what happened that night almost broke you. You don't need to say anything more until you're ready. It hurt you most of all and I know what pain is... trying to force yourself to talk of it will only hurt more until you are ready." Dahlia said slowly.

"Dahlia, there is something I would like to show you though. These pillars aren't the only thing that mother made for us." Thomas said with a small smile himself.

'Verna, has Dahlia finished blessing your eyes? I know that she had intended to, but I don't know if she ever did.' Radara asked.

'Yes, I have your special eyes. Dahlia finished given them to me the night before our wedding.' Verna smiled, closing her eyes, concentrating, and when she opened them, they matched Dahlia's. A slight glowing red with yellow outlines, but bright and cheery.

"I still say you should use them all the time. You'll learn to get use to them, and it's not hard to keep using them all the time." Dahlia said, giving Verna a small kiss.

'I... I might in time, but for now I'd rather just use them a little. Its still so strange seeing so much... and I kind of like you showing me so many new things rather then just seeing them randomly and not knowing what I'm looking at.' Verna smiled.

"We have something to show you too then. Come on... I think you'll love this. Don't worry, we'll give you time to read it all." Thomas smiled, and slowly turned down the main passage again.

As they walked though, the giant golden mural on the back wall easily caught their eyes, and Dahlia began to move more quickly towards the back wall. "Thomas... what is this?" Dahlia asked.

"Our history... our story, the story of your vast life times, of who we were and what all we had done." Thomas explained.

"Most of your history. I wanted to record who you all had become on your own, who you had grown to be." Arceus said, slowly walking with them. Dahlia seemed very interested in it as she walked beside, Verna looking over to Xent though.

'Do... do my new eyes look nice?' Verna asked, having seen Xent look right at her a few times. She could feel some curiosity about it, but didn't pry into his mind to figure it out.

"They look nice on you." Xent smiled as he walked along with them, finally seeing the giant golden mural taking up most of the back wall. As Dahlia noticed though, she started to move forward a bit more quickly. As Verna looked over, she gave a look of awe, and a bit of confusion as she walked with Dahlia.

"The oath we took..." Dahlia said slowly, moving up quickly now, standing the middle of the mural and looking up carefully over just one section.

"That's right Dahlia... Mother recorded all of our major achievements here. Our growth as our culture between the legendary pokemon and the rest of the world, our growth in ourselves, of who we are and who we came to be, of how we were born, and even our choice to stand up and help protect our elder brothers and sister." Thomas smiled.

"Its... its all here?" Dahlia asked, slowly letting go of Verna and just reaching up to touch the bottom of the mural as if wondering if it was all real or just in her head.

'This... is your history? And this is the oath that you have often talked with Thomas and Radara about?' Verna asked.

"The oath we took, our steps into proper adulthood, our choice to... take up the protection of our elder brothers and sisters, the legendary pokemon and of course our mother when they sacrificed their strength to seal the evil away so long ago..." Dahlia said slowly.

She was about to read it out loud, only for a loud cry to scream out in pain before she could though.

[Ow ow ow, AHHH!] Mew screamed flying into the temple loudly, even crying out as he dove into Arceus's side. [Momma! Momma, its biting my tail!]

Mew had rushed up quickly, crying loudly, his tail flailing about until Thomas caught to get a better look at what he was talking about. There was definitely something on his tail, and with it no longer flailing about, it was easy to make out.

The heavy duty dual rotor blades of one of the industrial monitor drone's flight mechanisms had snapped around mew's tail, making it bleed even as it locked around his tail.

Thomas was quick to force it apart with Radara's help as Dahlia rushed up, Verna quickly following behind feeling her anger.

"Those bastards couldn't leave it alone." Dahlia snapped some as everyone looked to her.

"This is one of the knights then I take it?" Xent asked, as Mew quickly freed his tail and wrapped it around Arceus some, still crying as Arceus tried to comfort Mew.

"Now now my child, easy. Let me see it and I shall help now that your tail is free. How did that every this get stuck on your tail?" Arceus stated, Mew quickly holding his bleeding tail up for Arceus to see, a small golden light in her eyes and Mew's as it began to heal a little.

[Momma, it bit my tail when I tried to ride it!] Mew whined loudly.

"That's a custom ordered Sky Lord's Heavy Weight monitoring drone. They quick making them back in the early two-thousands in favor of more cost effective models. Its primary use was mapping wild region and other dangerous spaces, but they were very expensive. Usually they were very reliable for what they did, but as other models came out, no one wanted to pay the cost so they discontinued them. The knights found a use for the unit however, being so durable and usually very easy and cheap to repair if you have a full garage. They also had one of the longest ranges of drones and best batteries, and with some upgraded surveillance gear installed, made them very popular for the Knight's purposes." Dahlia explained, growling and yet still shaking her head at Mew's comment.

'Mew... what possessed you to try riding this?' Latios sighed, looking over it with the others.

[It sat down on some kind of metal nest in the cliffs! I saw it spiral and twist and spin and it looked like fun, but it hurts me! Its a bad thing! It wants to eat me!] Mew cried, still staying on Arceus, gently wrapping his tail around her middle as he held onto her neck a little.

"Those things waited until we showed up to try and get extra eyes on us..." Dahlia stated, quickly pulling Spanky to her side, but Verna grabbed her arms.

'Mother, if you would let me, I'm going to ask for some help putting up a few hundred more crystals. I'll make an expanded field of interference for the machines the humans have in and above the canyon while we figure out where we want to build the additions to the outside of the temple.' Latios started, Arceus nodding.

"It may be best if I stay inside with Radara and Dahlia for the immediate moment. If we are needed, we'll rush to your aid, but let's not give them them a reason to send a large force right away just in case until we have more help here." Thomas stated.

"You're going to keep me locked up in here right now?" Dahlia now almost glared at Thomas, Verna holding Dahlia a bit more.

"We choose to do this so we wouldn't escalate things between us. Risking a war with the knights right now while that thing is free doing who knows what. We need to use its silence while it recovers to unite the people and pokemon of the world. It was your idea to try this first." Arceus stated, slowly standing and moving beside Dahlia, gently pulling Dahlia against her a little.

'Me and Latias can easily disable any more drones in the the canyon, we'll even collect them too. We just needed some early supplies to survey the land and then determine how we would build out from the temple, and we can even build protective measures for any machines that do need to function inside the temple if we need to.'Latios stated, before nodding at Arceus and then flying back towards the entrance.

"Give me a moment to welcome the priests at our side to this temple, and then I would like to show you around, all of you. This place is not yet complete just yet, but I hope that what all I have done so far will be enjoyed while I try and finish this place." Arceus said now.
