As the train Ash and his Pokémon were in got closer to an unknown station, the amnesiac Trainer was playing with his newly bonded Pokémon, as he started to tickle Ralts' stomach, making the Feeling Pokémon laugh at the action he was doing to it, while Rookidee watched with its head tilting while standing on the Adventurer Guide Ash was reading earlier, but when the train suddenly abruptly stopped, the sudden motion threw Rookidee off the table as Ralts held onto the Tiny Bird Pokémon while holding Ash's hand, as the Trainer somehow managed to keep his balance.
"Does the person not know how to operate the train?" Ralts asked, while hanging at the edge of the table with Rookidee in its hand.
"I hope so, Ralts. You alright Rookidee?" Ash responded.
"Roo!" Rookidee exclaimed.
Ash and his Pokémon soon stepped out of the train after packing his things to see what the commotion was about with Ralts on his head and Rookidee on his shoulder, as a train tenant ran up to him, with eyes of worry hoping that the passenger wasn't hurt.
"Are you alright? You're not hurt by the abrupt stop of the train, are you?" He asked, with Ash shaking his head.
"No, I'm fine, but what happened?" He responded.
"Well... you see." He started while looking at the tracks.
Looking at the train track, Ash could see a blue turtle-like Pokémon with a rather large shell and huge lower jaw, where a large horn was on the center of its head, as the tenant sighed loudly as Ash finally realised what the cause of the problem was.
"That Drednaw suddenly appeared on the track and refuses to leave, and we don't know why it doesn't want to leave." He explained.
"Drednaw's usually doesn't live around this part of the Wild Area, and this is the first time that one has came here." He told the young Trainer.
Ash then took out his Rotom Phone and aimed it at the Drednaw which was causing a scene at the train tracks, as his Rotom Phone immediately displayed the image of Drednaw.
"Drednaw, the Bite Pokémon, Water and Rock Type. Drednaw are known to be very aggressive and will use their jaws to bite on targets, its jaw are also strong enough to break apart rocks and iron, Drednaw's are also able to move extremely fast despite their heavy size." Ash's Rotom Phone described.
After learning about Drednaw's nature, Ash kept his Rotom Phone into his pocket, before turning his head to the tenant who was still in distress about what to do about the Drednaw who doesn't want to leave the tracks alone.
"If that Drednaw doesn't leave soon, the people who are going to Motostoke will be hindered greatly." He mumbled in nervousness.
"Where does Drednaw usually live in this part of town?" Ash asked.
"Drednaw usually lives by the riverbank that's a few miles from here, but this the first time that a Drednaw appeared on the tracks." He answered, pointing at a nearby river.
Ash nodded before looking at Ralts, he realised they during the train ride that Ralts is able to communicate with him, as he looked at the Feeling Pokémon.
"Ralts, do you think you can ask Drednaw what it wants?" He questioned, as Ralts hopped off his head.
The tenant and Ash watched as Ralts approached Drednaw who was still stomping around on the tracks, refusing to leave despite multiple attempts from the poeple in the station, as the Psychic and Fairy Type looked at the Bute Pokémon.
"What are you doing here? Isn't your home down at the riverbank?" Ralts asked, as Drednaw stared at it.
"Naw, Drednaw, Dred!" It screamed while stomping the ground angrily.
Ralts nodded as it made its way back to Ash before hopping back onto his head, with the amnesiac Trainer looking at his Pokémon with eyes of question.
"So, what did Drednaw say?" He asked, as Ralts sighed.
"Drednaw said a stupid looking two legged badger took away its home, so its here to vent its frustration." Ralts replied, quoting out what Drednaw told it.
Ash was clueless about the description about what Drednaw had described the thief of its home supposed to be, as the tenant looked at Ash who was still pondering about what this two legged badger could be.
"Is something the matter, did you find something out?" He asked, as Ash nodded.
"Drednaw said that a stupid two legged badger took its home away, so it's here to vent out its anger." He started, before sighing.
"The only problem is, I don't know what this stupid two legged badger is." He sighed out.
The tenant was in thoughts as he took the time to think about what this two legged badger was, before coming up with an idea in his head.
"I won't ask how you communicated with that Drednaw, but could it have meant an Obstagoon?" He responded.
"An Obstagoon?" Ash voice with wonder.
Ash decides to take out his Rotom Phone again as he scrolled through the index to search for the Pokémon named "Obstagoon", but when he finally found the page of Obstagoon in the index, Ash crept closer to Drednaw before putting his phone out to let it see.
"Is this the Pokémon that took your home away, Drednaw?" He asked.
As Drednaw turned its head to see Ash's Rotom Phone, and upon seeing the picture of an Obstagoon, the Bite Pokémon started to stomp in the track in a huge fit of rage, making Ash recoil back in shock.
"Naw! Dred!" Drednaw screamed, making Ash feel a little uncomfortable.
"Drednaw says that's the stupid two legged badger, there's no mistake in it." Ralts translated.
After confirming that Obstagoon was the culprit, Ash kept his Rotom Phone into his pocket before looking at the still fuming Bite Pokémon.
"If we manage to get Obstagoon out of om your home, Drednaw, will you promise to leave the track?" He asked.
"Drednaw! Naw Dred!" Drednaw responded, with Ralts lowering himself to Ash's ears.
"Drednaw says that if only you manage to get it out of its home, it will leave the track and go back home." Ralts told its Trainer.
Upon obtaining the information he needed, Ash bolted out of the train station towards Drednaw's home down at the riverbank nearby the station as he ran through the Wild Area, coming across countless Pokémon, while taking out his Rotom Phone to look up information about Obstagoon.
"Obstagoon, the Blocking Pokémon, Dark and Normal Type. Obstagoon's are known for their taunting and obstructing nature, using its well-build body to obstruct the path of both people and Pokémon, Obstagoon's are also known to be in conflict against Pangoro's." Ash's Rotom Phone described.
"Now, that sounds kind of mean." Ash commented.
As he ran several miles away from the train station towards the riverbank, Ash and his team stopped at the riverbank where Drednaw was supposed to live at, to notice that Obstagoon was nowhere in sight confusing the Trainer where the Blocking Pokémon might be at, if it was really around the riverbank as Drednaw had claimed it to be.
"Where's Obstagoon?" Ash questioned.
"Maybe its hiding here somewhere, why not take a look around?" Ralts suggested.
Taking up Ralts' suggestion, Ash took them to take a look around the place as he walked all around the edge of the riverbank, before finally coming across a two legged badger-like Pokémon with a rather well-builded body, as it stood at the front of a big tree, snarling at a group of smaller Pokémon, preventing them from getting berries from the tree behind it.
"Obsta!" It snarled with intimidation, scaring off several of the Pokémon that had gathered in the group.
"Its a real bully alright." Ash mumbled.
As Ash, Ralts and Rookidee watched on as Obstagoon continued to obstruct the path of the group of smaller Pokémon, a small bidepal beetle-like Pokémon with a bladed horn, body and hand soon stepped forward as it pointed its hand at the Blocking Pokémon.
"Niard, Pawn!" It roared.
Ash immediately took out his Rotom Phone once again to scan the newly arrived Pokémon, as he aimed the device at the small Pokémon that was standing up to Obstagoon while the others cowered in fear.
"Pawniard, the Sharp Blade Pokémon, Dark and Steel Type. Pawniard lives in groups that takes command from their evolved form, Bisharp. Pawniard in a pack or group will train diligently without rest, in hopes that they will one day take over their leader's role." Ash's Rotom Phone described.
As he lifted up his head to see what was going on after Rotom's explanation about the Sharp Blade Pokémon, he could see that Pawniard was being rebounded by the Blocking Pokémon's body, as it landed on the ground hard while groaning in pain from the impact it had just received.
"Ralts, use Disarming Voice! Rookidee, use Peck!" Ash ordered.
Obstagoon immediately shifted its attention to the source of his voice, as it leaped away front he spot it was in as Rookidee flew by the spot where Obstagoon was, only for Ralts to unleash a powerful scream from its mouth, causing a few of the Pokémon to fly backwards at the force of Ralts' attack, but when the attack ended, Obstagoon stared at the group of Trainer and Pokémon that had came to challenge it to a fight.
"Obstagoon, this place doesn't to you, give it back to Drednaw this instant!" Ash yelled in demand.
"Obs, ta, a, a, a." It laughed mockingly, making Ash twitch his eyebrow.
"That's it you asked for it! Ralts, use Disarming Voice!" Ash instructed.
The Feeling Pokémon quickly leaped into the air before firing off a pink circle from its mouth at Obstagoon, as the Blocking Pokémon retaliated with a loud snarl, while firing off a black ball sparking with purple electricity at Ralts, as it easily tore through Ralts' attack, forcing the Psychic and Fairy Type to teleport away to safety.
After getting out of danger, Ralts teleported back in front of Ash as Rookidee joined its side in the air, with Ash trying to study Obstagoon's attack pattern and nature, before staring at the Blocking Pokémon.
"We may have outnumbered it, but the strength and power are too far apart." He thought to himself.
"Rookidee, use Hone Claw! Ralts, use Disarming Voice once more!" Ash commanded.
Rookidee's talons immediately sharpened as it flew into the air in circles before stopping while glowing in a red light, meanwhile Ralts unleashed yet another ring of pink energy from its mouth at Obstagoon, as the Dark and Normal Type formed a oval shield around the left side of its body, before ramming into Ralts' attack, cancelling it completely shocking Ash.
"What was that move?" Ash asked, while lifting up his Rotom Phone.
"Obstruct, a move that stops a Pokémon or attack from going pass." Rotom Phone explained.
Obstagoon quickly charged at Ralts with its hands glowing white, only for Rookidee to quickly swipe Ralts from the air making Obstagoon miss its attack, as it smashed into the floor creating a small crater as Ash waved his hand.
"Rookidee, use Drill Peck! Ralts, you use Disarming Voice!" Ash told his two Pokémon.
The Tiny Bird Pokémon quickly rotated at high speed to form a drill, as it dove down upon the Blocking Pokémon, only for Ralts to surround them with a pink veil, combining both their attacks together to create an even more powerful attack, as Obstagoon smirked at the two incoming Pokémon, before crossing its arms.
Upon doing so, Obstagoon created an oval shield around the left side of its body, and just when Rookidee and Ralts made contact with the shield, both Pokémon got send flying off back to Ash as they land on the ground, while groaning in pain from the impact they had received from having hit Obstagoon's Obstruct.
"Ralts! Rookidee!" Ash yelled in concern.
Pawniard who was watching opened its eye in awe, as both Ralts and Rookidee soon got back on their feet, getting ready for another round against Obstagoon, with Ash trying to think of a way to get by Obstagoon's obstructing power.
"We have to think of a way to get pass its Obstruct somehow, but Ralts' and Rookidee's combine power isn't enough." He thought to himself.
"Pawn!" Pawniard shouted, while running to join their side.
Ash and his team watch as Pawniard ran beside the Feeling Pokémon before raising its hand in the air, getting ready to battle against the Blocking Pokémon, while Ash stared at it in shock
"You want to battle with us, Pawniard?" He questioned, only for Pawniard to nod its head.
"Pawniard!" It yelled.
"Alright, then let's go for a round two!" Ash exclaimed loudly.
All three Pokémon immediately let out their individual battle cry, before getting into position against the Blocking Pokémon, who was still laughing at them mockingly, thinking that it was going to have another easy win like before.
"Rookidee, use Home Claw! Ralts, take Pawniard and Teleport!" Ash instructed.
Rookidee immediately repeated its previous motion by honing its attack and accuracy, as Ralts placed its hand on Pawniard's shoulder before teleporting both Pokémon into thin air, out of sight of everyone, leaving only Rookidee behind on the battlefield.
"Rookidee, use Drill Peck!" Ash commanded.
The Tiny Bird Pokémon quickly dove down upon the Dark and Normal Type in the form of a drill, as the Blocking Pokémon smirked before using its body as a shield to block Rookidee's attack. However, just when Obstagoon got into position to block Rookidee's attack, Ralts who reappeared behind it with Pawniard, got into position as Pawniard's hands turned green.
The Sharp Blade Pokémon then delivered two slashes to Obstagoon's leg, displacing the Blocking Pokémon, as Rookidee rammed into its body, sending it flying backwards as it crashed onto the floor while groaning in pain, with Ash clenching his fist with a grin.
"Ralts, use Disarming Voice! Rookidee, use Air Slash!" Ash commanded.
The Feeling Pokémon quickly unleaded a ring of pink energy at the recovering Blocking Pokémon, as Rookidee unleashed several blades of wind next to Ralts' attack, only for Pawniard to fire off a beam of darkness energy from between its small hands, as the attacks flew towards Obstagoon.
While the attack drew closer, the Blocking Pokémon widened its eyes at the incoming danger, as the attacks from all three Pokémon successfully made contact, effectively knocking out the Dark and Normal Type as it laid on the ground twitching, with its tongue sticking out as Ralts, Rookidee and Pawniard clapped each others hand.
"If you're not satisfied, Obstagoon, we can give you more beating!" Ash threatened, causing Obstagoon to jump up.
The Blocking Pokémon who looked as if it doesn't want anymore beating, quickly ran off into the wilds leaving the riverbank and onto another part of the Wild Area, not to be seen from a distance, disappearing into the wilds with the sun, as Ash sighed in relief.
"That's a relief, thanks Pawniard." Ash thanked, with Pawniard raising its hand.
"Let's go tell Drednaw the good news, and hope it keeps its promise." Ash told his two Pokémon.
After making sure that Obstagoon was finally nowhere near their area, Ash, Ralts and Rookidee ran back to the station, hoping that Drednaw hasn't caused anymore trouble as the three of them arrived back at the station, where Drednaw was still angrily stomping on the tracks.
"Drednaw! We chased Obstagoon out of your home, you can go back now!" Ash yelled towards the Bite Pokémon.
"Naw? Dred!" Drednaw exclaimed in joy, before moving away from the tracks.
"Obstagoon is gone and shouldn't be coming back for a long while. If Obstagoon does come back, come and find us, and we'll handle it for you." Ash told the Water and Rock Type.
Drednaw who looked pleased to hear that the intruder who invaded its home had been removed, decided to leave the station back to the riverbank as the tenant looked extremely delighted, as he turn his head to Ash.
"Thank you, young Trainer, you truly saved us from the trouble we had." He thanked, making Ash scratch his head.
"It's nothing, my Pokémon did all the fighting, I merely did all the shouting." He admitted.
"I know it isn't much, but please take this if you're ever going to go out to the Wild Area." He told Ash, while handing him an average sized bag.
The amnesiac Trainer tilted his head before opening the bag to see that there was a tent pitching equipment, as well as a tri-stand and a pot, alongside a fishing rod and a few baits, and most of then were in perfect and clean condition.
"A Trainer left them here a while back and hasn't came back for them, so I'd figure I'd give them to you instead." The tenant told Ash, who closed the bag.
"I see, then thank you." He responded.
When the train's bell rang signifying that its ready to depart again, Ash quickly boarded the train with Ralts and Rookidee, while failing to notice a smaller Pokémon running in after him, as the Kanto native slide onto a seat with Ralts on his head and Rookidee on the table, with the train departing for Motostoke, in order for him to sign up for the Gym Challenge.
When Ash reached out his hand to try and tickle Rookidee's chin, Pawniard suddenly burst up from beneath the table, shocking the Tiny Bird Pokémon as the Flying Type shrieked loudly before rolling off the table, only to be caught by Pawniard who pulled it up, before setting it up straight.
"Aren't you the same Pawniard from the riverbank? What are you doing here?" He asked.
"Pawniard, Pawn!" Pawniard shouted while raising its hand in the air.
Ralts smiled as it leaped off Ash's head to join the newly arrived Pawniard, as the Feeling Pokémon turned its head to Ash before smiling.
"Pawniard says that it wants to come with us, after seeing how we punished that Obstagoon, you have its admiration." Ralts explained, translating Pawniard's words.
Ash turn his head to Pawniard who nodded quickly, as Ash took out one of his empty Poke Ball before giving it to the Sharp Blade Pokémon who hit the button with its hand, as the device sucked in the Dark and Steel Type, before clicking without a single roll, showing no sign of resistance from Pawniard.
"Pawniard's data will be added into the index!" Ash's Rotom Phone sounded.
After hearing his Rotom Phone say those words, Ash immediately let the Sharp Blade Pokémon out of its Poke Ball, as he aimed his Rotom Phone at the Sharp Blade Pokémon, trying to see what else he needed to know about the Dark and Steel Type.
"Pawniard, your Ability is Inner Focus and you're a male." He mumbled.
"And your moves are Iron Defense, Fury Cutter, Metal Claw and Slash." He added
Having learned more about Pawniard's gender and more, he next aimed his Rotom Phone at Rookidee who was having fun pecking the window for unknown reasons.
"Rookidee's Ability is Big Pecks and you're also a male." He muttered, earning Rookidee's attention.
"The moves you have aside from Hone Claw, Peck and Drill Peck is U-Turn. That's a strange name for a move." He chuckled
Finally, he aimed his Rotom Phone at his starter, Ralts, as information of the Feeling Pokémon appeared in his index of captured Pokémon.
"Ralts, your Ability is Trace and you're a MALE!" Ash screamed out the last part, making Ralts jump in shock.
"Did I forget to mention that I'm a dude this whole time?" Ralts responded sheepishly.
"No, Niard, Roo!" Ash and his two remaining Pokémon answered sternly.
Ralts looked to the side before laughing sheepishly, making Ash, Rookidee and Pawniard sigh, as a huge stadium was finally in sight of the four of them, with Ash taking out his Rotom Phone to check the geography of Motostoke and its place of interest.
"Motostoke, we're finally here guys." Ash told them.
The train soon entered Motostoke's train station as Ash recalled Rookidee and Pawniard back into their respective Poke Ball as he brought Ralts who was on his head towards the stadium, in order to register for the Gym Challenge, as they walked through the large town before arriving at a large glass door panel, only for Ash to enter.
Upon entry, the entire place was much more spacious and bigger then expected, as the whole place was crowded with Trainer and their Pokémon, with some having already registered for the Gym Challenge while some of them were at the reception, waiting to register for the tournament that was going to happen, as Ash walked up to a counter with his Endorsement Letter in hand.
"May I help you?" The staff member asked.
"I'm here to sign up for the Gym Challenge, I have an Endorsement Letter right here." He answered, while passing the staff member his Endorsement Letter.
The staff member then took the letter off his hand, before opening it to confirm the content inside while widening his eyes in shock, as he found out who was the one who endorsed Ash into the Gym Challenge, before typing away in his computer to complete the procedure, as he lifted up his head when he was done with the procedure.
"You've been successfully registered, Challenger Reil." He told Ash while handing him back his letter.
"Please wear this Challenger Band as proof you are a challenger of the Gym Challenge, and please select a number for your uniform." He added, while hanging Ash a golden band.
The amnesiac Trainer then slipped the Challenger Band onto his right wrist with his Dynamax Band, before keying in the number "475" into the registration pad, with the staff member confirming every of his selected details as he nodded at the boy.
"This does it for the registration, please head to the Budew and rest until the ceremony. Our members outside will lead you there, if you are unsure of where to go." He told Ash, as he nodded.
"Thanks, then I'll be on my way." Ash responded.
The Kanto native then bolted for the door as it slide open to reveal a staff member already outside waiting for him, as she gestured for him to follow her to where the Budew Inn was suppose to be at, so that he can rest for the day.
"Please follow me, the Budew Inn is this way." She gestured.
While the staff member started to lead Ash towards the Budew Inn, the Kanto native followed her from behind as the two of them soon arrived at a inn which had the symbol of a Budew in their signboard, with the staff member gesturing her hand towards the building.
"This is the Budew Inn, please have a good rest and have a nice day. I'll come and escort you back to the stadium early in the morning, Gym Challenger Reil." She bowed.
"Alright, thanks for the help." He said with a smile.
As the staff member left for the stadium, Ash walked into the inn in order to check into his hotel room, while strolling to the counter in order to rest as early as possible, that was until someone pushed him aside as he reached the counter, forcing him to go behind that person making Ash's eyebrow twitch in irritation.
The person who had pushed him aside had blue hair and black eyes, wearing what seems to be a black raincoat with a turquoise shirt that bore the design of a Pokémon's weapon which resembled a leak, as well as having a matching black pants and grey shoes.
"Now, that's not nice." Ash mutter, making the person turn around.
"So what? If you're not happy about being second, than cry back home to mama!" He insulted with arrogance, making Ash narrow his eyes at him.
"Oh yeah? And who are you suppose to be?" He retorted.
The boy arrogantly chuckled as he puffed out his chest in a smugly manner, before using his right hand to form a fist as he collided it with his chest.
"The name is Kole, and you're talking to the new Champion of Galar, loser!" He yelled arrogantly, making Ash raise his eyebrow.
"If that's the case, then I'm Reil, the next god of the world." Ash replied with sarcasm.
This made the crowd around then laugh, and making Kole see red as Ash simply brushed pass him to reach the reception, only for the arrogant Trainer to get in his way a second time, this time not being too happy on receiving the laughing end.
"That's it, I'm challenging you to a battle, that is if you're afraid!" Kole challenged, as Ash peeked over his shoulder
"May I please check into my room now, please?" He asked the reception, while ignoring Kole entirely.
The Trainer before him was now even angrier as Ash took his room key from the reception before heading towards the lift to go to his room to rest for the day, that was until Kole once again blocked him for a third time in one confrontation, making Ash sigh loudly.
"Is it a rule to accept your challenge just because you said so?" He questioned, barely interested in anymore battle for the day.
"It doesn't matter if there is a rule! I challenge you to fight me, and you will do it!" He barked, making Ash role his eyes.
The amnesiac Trainer was about to once again ignore and decline Kole's arrogant antics, that was until one of his Poke Ball started to shake violently, as Ash took it out of his pocket before sighing, because if his Pokémon want to have a go, then he has no choice but to accept it.
"Fine, one on one, if I win you leave me alone because I'm already tired." Ash reluctantly accepted.
"If you think you're going to win, you're not!" Kole retorted.
Ash then moved to the side before taking out his Poke Ball, before enlarging it in his hand before aiming it at the field, as he threw it into the temporary battleground.
"Pawniard, go forth!" Ash yelled.
His Poke Ball burst open to reveal the Sharp Blade Pokémon as Pawniard immediately sharpened his blades together before pointing at Kole giving him the "bring it on" motion, making the Trainer opposite them to narrow his eyes at them.
"This is going to be easy, Machop, show then who's boss!" Kole called out.
From Kole's Poke Ball came a small humanoid Pokémon with a rather well-build body as the newly encountered Pokémon to Ash decided to flex its muscle, showing off its well-build body, only for Pawniard to look rather uninterested, as Ash took out his Rotom Phone.
"Machop, the Superpower Pokémon, Fighting Type. Machop will train its body tirelessly in order to improve its skills in combat, it is theorised by scientist and field researchers that a Machop's muscle does not got sore no matter the training, and has enough strength to lift a weight up to a hundred adults, it also lifts Graveler for training." Ash Rotom Phone described.
After learning about what a Machop is, Ash kept his Rotom Phone back into his pocket before looking at the opposing Trainer while gesturing for Kole to start his attack first, not wanting to reveal his Pawniard's move too early.
"You can have the first move, it'll show you how much compassion I have." Ash said tauntingly.
"You asked for it, use Karate Chop!" Kole ordered.
Machop's hand glowed in a white light as it charged at Pawniard with its hand raised, only for Pawniard to stand ready for a counter attack, until Ash gave it a command.
"Iron Defense!" He ordered.
Pawniard upon receiving his command, turned his body into steel with a bright glow of white light, as Machop's attack landed upon the Sharp Blade Pokémon, dealing bo significant damage due to his hardened defense making the Superpower Pokémon widen its eyes in shock, that was until Kole decided to give it another command.
"Use Low Sweep!" He yelled.
As Machop removed his hand from Pawniard's body, the Fighting Type Pokémon then decided to lower its body in order to perform its attack, as Ash sighed before looking at Pawniard.
"Game over, Metal Claw!" He instructed.
Pawniard's hands quickly glowed in a bright light as a sharp claw emerged from his blade-like hand, as the Sharp Blade Pokémon rushed by the Superpower Pokémon while giving it two hard slashes, before landing on the ground with his feet, as the blade on his hand retracted with Machop falling to the ground unmoving.
"That's that, I win, good job, Pawniard." Ash mumbled, making Pawniard raise his hand.
"Pawn!" He yelled in victory.
Kole was devastated at his defeat despite having the higher Type Advantage against Ash's Pawniard with his Machop, as he looked up at Ash not believing that he had lost that easily despite using a Type Advantage.
"It's impossible that I have lost! I had the Type Advantage while you didn't, so how is it that I lost!" Kole yelled, as Ash sighed.
"I thought that with me being new to all this, I would be the one asking, but I guess not. Since I've won, I'm going to rest." Ash retorted.
He then clicked the elevator before travelling up to his room's floor, before finding his room number and entering it using the keys he got from the reception, as he threw his bag on the tablebefore sitting down on the couch with a smile.
"Man! Finally have a soft object to sit on!" He exclaimed.
"Pawniard, Pawn, Naird!" Pawniard exclaimed loudly while looking at Ash, as Ralts came down from his head.
"Pawniard's asking if he can get a reward for winning, because he heard that Trainer's cooks curry in the wilds, and he was thinking if you can make some for him." Ralts translated.
Ash was sweating as he had never really tried cooking before ever since he left Postwick, but he couldn't help it when Pawniard was looking at him with sparkling eyes, as Ash got up from his seat before patting the Sharp Blade Pokémon's head.
"Alright, I'll try and make some, but no promises that it'll be great though." He told the Dark and Steel Type.
"In the meantime, why don't you guys go and play around the room with Rookidee?" Ash suggested.
Ralts and Pawniard quickly went to press on Rookidee's Poke Ball to let him out to play, as Ash made his way to the kitchen while looking up how to make the curry that Pawniard wanted, while scuffing through his bag to find that there were a few ingredients left behind by the previous Trainer, as he laid down a packet of spaghetti, a few Chesto Berry numbering up to five, three Sitrus Berry and two Leppa Berry.
Ash then set his Rotom Phone in front of himself in order to learn how to make a pot of curry, as he started to cook the dish by chopping up the berries he had with him, while giving the pot he had enough heat to boil the curry, as he started to place his spaghetti in, before stirring the pot while adding in the chopped up berries, as the aroma of his curry filled the room.
The smell of his cooking allured both Rookidee and Pawniard as the two of them rushed to his side, glancing at the curry Ash was cooking while drooling on the table only for Ralts to pull them away from the table, preventing them from disturbing Ash while he was cooking, as the amnesiac Trainer was finally done making his curry.
"It's done, come and try some and see how it tastes." Ash told them.
He then set down three plates of rice that he had made in the process, before spreading the curry he had cooked onto the rice, before delivering them to his Pokémon, as they ate their first bite together before pausing there for a moment, making Ash feel a bit uncomfortable at their reaction, that was until they jump in joy at the taste of his cooking.
"Delicious/Pawn/Roo!" They yelled in sync, as they devoured their food.
"That's good to hear.", Ash sighed in relief.
They spend the day eating Ash's newly made cooking as the day passed by rather quickly, until it was finally the day Ash had to attend the ceremony of the Gym Challenge for the year, as he stepped out of the inn to meet a staff member already waiting for him outside.
"Please, allow me to escort you to the stadium." She offered.
"Sure, thanks." Ash responded with a smile.
As the staff member brought Ash to the stadium, she then handed him a set of uniform when they finally reached the entrance of the Motostoke Stadium, with the numbers "475" written on the back of his uniform shirt.
"Please wear this uniform as you head for the ceremony challenger Reil, we wish you the best of luck during the Gym Challenge." She told him.
Ash nodded as he took the uniform off her hand before running towards the changing room to change his current attire as he quickly made his way to the locker room, where countless Trainers were waiting to enter the stadium ground, as the announcer appeared on the field.
"Welcome ladies and gentlemen to this year's Gym Challenge ceremony, and like before and the year before that, let's welcome our wonderful and powerful Gym Leaders that will be participating in this Gym Challenge as the pinnacle of challenge for this year's Gym Challengers!" He yelled.
Immediately after that, seven people walked out as they marched down the road of the entire stadium field, as they waved at the crowd with a few having a smiling expression while a few of them had a stoic and stern expression, with one of them being the most noticeable as he begin snapping picture of himself using his Rotom Phone.
"Even though we're missing one, let's introduce our pinnacle of challenge to the Gym Challengers!" He presented.
"Milo, the fighting farmer!" He yelled, as a man with peach hair and green eyes, wearing a uniquely designed uniform with a grass symbol on the front while having the numbers "831" on his pants and back of shirt waved at the crowd.
"Nessa, the raging wave!" This made a tanned woman with blue hair reaching down to her waist with matching blue eyes waving at the crowd, in her own uniquely designed uniform where water symbol was seen on the front of her shirt and the numbers "049" on it.
"Kabu, the ever-burning man of fire!" At this quote, an elderly man with salt and pepper coloured hair with black eyes jogged forward as he waved at the crowd, with a uniquely designed red uniform with a fire symbol at the front as well as the numbers "187" on his uniform.
"Allister, the silent boy of mystery!" A boy that seemed to be around Ash's age walked out in a deathly manner, as he looked at the crowd, dressed in his own uniquely designed lavender uniform where a ghost symbol can be seen at the front with the numbers "291" on it, while having a ghost mask on his face.
"Opal, the master of a fantastic theatre!" This made an woman with white hair and blue eyes that was even more in her older age then Kabu walk out, as she slowly made her way through the field in her own uniquely designed pink and turquoise uniform, where a fairy symbol can be seen at the front, with the numbers "910" on it.
"Melony, the ice-cold professional!" A woman with white hair and blue eyes then waved at the crowd, as she wore her own uniquely designed snow white uniform, with an ice symbol on the front while ha shirt ving the numbers "361" on her uniform.
"Lastly, we have Raihan, the tamer of dragons!" Finally a man with black hair and teal eyes dressed in his own uniquely designed multi-coloured uniform with a jacket at the front, though the symbol on his is not visible, the numbers "241" was written on his pants.
The seven Gym Leaders that were introduced then stood at the centre in a whole line as they waved at the crowd slowly, with Raihan taking a picture of himself whenever he could, as the announcer looked at the other tunnel.
"Then let's welcome this year's Gym Challengers!" He yelled.
While Ash was in the locker room when the announcer said those words, the door opened as they all walked out including Ash, as he looked both shocked and amaze at how big the whole place was, only to notice that Raihan and Kabu were staring at him, as they chuckle at one another, something which Ash found strange.
When the ceremony was over, with Ash changing back to his original outfit, a staff member ran up to him before handing him a circular object as she looked at the young Trainer.
"Please take this, it's an object for you to display your collected badges." She told him.
"Thanks." Ash responded, as he took the object off her hand.
"The first Gym is located in Turrfield just pass Route 2, we wish you the best if luck and excel through the Gym Challenge, challenger Reil." She said with a bow.
Ash nodded as he rushed for the door and bolted for the direction of Route 2, where the first Gym would be located, as he just couldn't wait for his journey in Galar to truly begin.
That's chapter 3, Ash has finally begin his route down the Gym Challenge like the game, I have more plans for him when he finishes the Gym Challenge, so until then!
Otherwise,
PEACE!
