Inside a power plant like area, Rose soon walked into a room where several employee was working on a large sphere that was in the center of the room, as he approached it slowly with a smile on his face as he turn to face one of the power plant's employees.
"Did anything happen?" He asked, as an employee walked up to him with a tablet.
"Just few minutes ago, the sphere unleashed a small amount of Dynamax energy. It isn't much, but it was still strong enough to escape the barrier." He answered, reading the statistics from the data on his tablet.
Hearing the report, Rose soon placed his hand on his chin, as if thinking of what actions to take next, right before Oleana entered the room, while being greeted by the employees as she joined Rose's side in front of the giant sphere.
"Increase the barrier's protective force, we can't let too much Dynamax energy escape this place." He ordered.
"Yes, sir!" The employee nodded, before running off.
Rose and Oleana watched as the employees started to type into a huge monitor, indicating that they were doing their job in strengthening the barrier which blocks the area within the power plant, as Oleana looked at Rose from her stand.
"Chairman Rose, here another four Wishing Piece." She told him, before opening her hand to reveal four red stones.
"That's good, with this, we should be able to continuously inject more energy into it." He responded, taking the Wishing Pieces off her hands.
As Rose examine the Wishing Pieces that Oleana has obtained, the secretary of the Chairman of Galar soon looked at him with a questioning look, as if unsure of something.
"Chairman Rose, why don't you have Reil search for the Wishing Pieces as well? I'm sure he will do a far better job then Bede." She questioned, as Rose shook his head.
"We can't do that, because it might bring too much attention if two Gym Challengers were going around collecting Wishing Pieces." He answered, before lifting his head to look at the giant sphere in front of him.
"After all, this is all for the future of Galar. Once Eternatus is born from the hanger, and contained, eternal energy will fill Galar forever." He added, looked at the giant sphere.
Meanwhile in Motostoke, Ash and Gallade finally reached the top of the stairs as the two of them started to pant, with Gallade sitting on the ground, having been exhausted from the earlier fight with Metang, as Ash was leaning against a wall, just as exhausted as his partner.
"Man, when you thought that running down the stairs is as easy as walking up." Ash started, panting slightly.
"But when you actually try to run up the stairs, it's an absolute nightmare." Gallade finished, having exhausted all of his energy.
Both Trainer and Pokémon soon ended IP spending a few good minutes sitting on the ground near the entrance of Motostoke, panting as if their life had been drained from their bodies, only for Gallade to notice a familiar face jogging towards their direction.
"I think I see Kabu coming, Reil." Gallade muttered out, attracting Ash's attention.
Looking at L the direction where Gallade was facing, Ash could see Kabu jogging down the streets of Motostoke early in the morning, with his Ninetales by his side running along with its Trainer, only for Kabu to come to a temporary halt upon noticing Ash sitting by the entrance with his partner Pokémon.
"Good morning, Reil, I see you've done quite an exercise yourself." Kabu greeted, noticing how exhausted both of them were.
"Good morning to you too Mr. Kabu, and I guess running up the stairs isn't a good idea." Ash returned the greeting, while describing his short experience of running up the stairs.
His comment made Kabu chuckle a little, as the amnesiac Trainer looked at the Fire Type Gym Leader from where he sat, with eyes filled with determination as the Gym Challenger started to open his mouth towards Kabu.
"Mr. Kabu, if you don't mind, I would like to have a rematch." Ash exclaimed in a challenging tone, slightly catching Kabu off-guard.
To Kabu who had been giving Gym Challengers the run for their money for countless years, Ash had been the first to re-challenge him after losing, and it had only been a day since Ash had lost to him, as this made Kabu smile at the young Trainer.
"Very well, I accept your challenge, Reil. We shall once again fight atop the stages of Motostoke in the afternoon, I wish you to have a good rest until then." Kabu said in an accepting tone, being unable to turn down such an ambitious Trainer.
"Thank you, Mr. Kabu, and this time I'm not going to lose." Ash told the Gym Leader of Motostoke, who in turn chuckled with a smile.
"May the best Trainer win this match, Reil, we shall meet in the stadium again." Kabu responded, before continuing his way down the road with his Ninetales.
After his conversation with Kabu, Ash soon got up from where he sat with Gallade, as the two of them soon made their way towards Budew Drop Inn, which was located on the upper floor of Motostoke, in order to rest till the afternoon, in order to have their rematch against Kabu.
Upon their arrival in the inn, Ash and his partner soon made their way to their room after checking in, as the amnesiac Trainer laid down on the bed, thinking of who he was going to use in his rematch against Kabu, knowing full well that his only real advantages were in both Gallade and Lairon, who were both neutral and partially strong against Fire Type respectively.
"What's got you thinking, Reil? Is it about our upcoming rematch?" Gallade asked, noticing how troubled Ash was.
"That's right, Kabu may change his team for this rematch but I know Centiskorch is going to be his ace, so its definitely going to be used, but I'm more worried about the other three Pokémon." Ash answered, being quite uncertain about what Pokémon Kabu would use.
"It won't help just to think and worry about it, would it? I mean, even if we're unsure of who we're going to be up against, it doesn't change the fact that we've come prepared this time." Gallade responded, making Ash chuckle with a smile.
Ash knew Gallade was right, as it was no use worrying about what Pokémon Kabu was going to use, because they're only objective here was to win the battle, as Ash sighed softly before getting up from the bed he was laying on.
"Thanks, Gallade, and I promise, this time we'll win." Ash thanked.
The afternoon soon came quickly, as Ash was putting on the shoes of this Gym Challenge uniform, before tapping his feet again the floor twice to make sure he was set, with Gallade by his side, as the young Trainer took a deep breath to relief himself of his stress.
"Alright, its now or never, this time we're going to go back the winner." Ash mumbled out, as he soon head for the exit.
As Ash made his way towards the stadium ground, the light of the exit of the tunnel soon blinded him for a moment, forcing Ash to cover his eyes as the view of the stadium once again took its place in his sight for a second time, with Kabu already waiting for him in the center of the stadium.
"It good to see that you've come, Reil." Kabu said across the stadium as Ash ran to the center of the field.
"There's no way I wouldn't come, after asking for a rematch." Ash responded, after finally reaching the center.
"Now that you're here, may the best Trainer win this match." Kabu told the young boy in front of him, as Ash nodded his head with a smile.
"This time I'm not going to lose as badly as last time, Mr. Kabu, you can count on it!" Ash retorted, making Kabu smile.
Both Trainers soon turned around as they quickly made their way to their respective end of the stadium field, before standing in their own boxes, as a small Rotom Drone flew down from the sky, before taking its place in the center of the field, into order to referee the match.
"The Gym Battle between Gym Leader Kabu and Gym Challenger Reil will now begin! Each Trainer is allowed four Pokémon, and the battle will be over when one side is unable to continue!" The Rotom Drone ruled out, before glancing both ways.
"Trainers are to present their Pokémon at the same time!" It added, with only Kabu taking out a Poke Ball from his pocket.
"3!"
"2!" This made both Ash and Kabu enlarge their Poke Balls, with both Trainer glancing at one another.
"1!"
At Rotom's final countdown, Kabu quickly threw his Poke Ball into the field, as Ash eyed at Gallade who entered the field himself in order to face off against his opponent, with Kabu's Poke Ball bursting open to reveal his Ninetales, as both the Blade and Fox Pokémon glanced at each other.
"Ninetales vs Gallade, begin!"
The moment Rotom announced the start of the battle, a strong ray of sunlight suddenly shine down upon the battlefield from Ninetales' Drought Ability, as both Pokémon stared at each other intensely, waiting patiently for the other to make a move.
"Will-O-Wisp!" Kabu commanded, starting the battle off the same way he did before during their first match.
Upon hearing Kabu's orders, Ninetales' tails soon stood up before creating a small wisp of small flames on each tip of its tail, right as the Fox Pokémon fired the wisps at Gallade who stood ready to receive Ninetales' attack.
"Use Psycho Cut!" Ash commanded, giving Gallade his first Psychic Type command after a long time.
Gallade's hands soon glowed in a purple light, before firing off two blades of psychic energy towards Ninetales' Will-O-Wisp, creating a small explosion in the center of the field upon collision, forcing both Pokémon to guard their faces from the smoke which flew at their individual directions.
"Now, use Teleport!" Ash instructed, trying to use the smoke to his advantage.
Hearing Ash's command, a glimpse of flashing light can be seen beyond the smoke from the audiences point of view, as the Blade Pokémon suddenly appeared in the air above the Fox Pokémon, with Kabu being alerted to his position.
"Flamethrow, above yourself!" He ordered.
"Shadow Sneak!" Ash ordered in retaliation.
As Ninetales fired off a stream of hot flame at Gallade, the Blade Pokémon in retaliation stretched his shadow beneath the Fire Type Pokémon, as a burst of black energy erupted from the ground beneath Ninetales creating a small cloud of smoke, as Gallade was hit head-on with its Flamethrower, as his figure dropped from the sky before landing on the ground.
At the same time Gallade landed on the ground, Ninetales leaped out of the smoke, slightly injured from Gallade's attack, but was overall still healthy to continue battling its opponent, as Ash looked at Gallade from where he stood.
"Return for now, Gallade." He called out, as Gallade nodded.
Teleporting next to Ash and out of the field, Ash took out a second Poke Ball before enlarging it in his hand, as he tossed the ball into the field.
"Pawniard, go forth!" Ash called out.
His second Poke Ball soon burst open to reveal the Sharp Blade Pokémon, as the Dark and Steel Type Pokémon soon sharpened his blade, eager to have his rematch against Ninetales, after losing his previous battle against the Fox Pokémon badly.
"Pawniard, use Metal Claw!" Ash commanded, giving Pawniard his first command.
The Sharp Blade Pokémon's blade soon extended out in a white light, as he charged towards the Fox Pokémon at full speed, ready to attack the Fox Pokémon, as Kabu stared at the field before looking at Ninetales.
"Flame Charge, go!" He commanded, while raising his hand into the air.
The Fire Type Pokémon immediately shrouded itself in blazing flames, before charging at Pawniard at high speed, only for Ash to grin at the sight of the charging Ninetales, before waving his hand to the side in order to issue a command.
"Slash the ground in front of your feet!" He yelled out, confusing Kabu with his command.
Obeying Ash's command, Pawniard quickly slashed the ground in front of his own feet, creating a wall of sand which erupted from the ground, as Ninetales dashed through the intangible construct, managing to hit nothing, right as Pawniard appeared behind the Fox Pokémon, before giving it two hard slashes, sending Ninetales back to Kabu.
"I'm impressed, you actually covered yourself with that tactic." Kabu complimented, finding Ash's tactic extremely amusing.
"Thanks, but that's not the only tactic I have." Ash responded, giving Kabu a smile.
As Ninetales slowly recovered from Pawniard's attack with a shake of its head, the Sharp Blade Pokémon quickly took on a second battle stance, in order to make sure he is fully ready to face off against the Fox Pokémon.
"Use Will-O-Wisp!" Kabu roared out in order.
Ninetales' eyes quickly turned blue as wisps of blue flames soon formed at the tip of each of its nine tails, before firing the attack at Pawniard one wisp at a time, sending the Will-O-Wisp attack in the form of a straight line towards the Sharp Blade Pokémon.
"Run to the side and dodge it, Pawniard!" Ash instructed, giving his Pokémon a command to follow.
Following his Trainer's instructions, Pawniard quickly bolted to the right side as the wisp from the Fire Type Status move started to hit the floor, one at a time as Pawniard quickly stopped in his tracks when the last of the Will-O-Wisp landed on the ground, with Ash clenching his hand into a fist.
"Now, Fury Cutter!" He commanded.
Pawniard's hands soon glowed in a green light as a green blade formed from his hand, before dashing towards Ninetales, ready to strike at the Fox Pokémon from a single direction, only for Kabu to chuckle a little with a grin.
"Solar Beam!" He yelled out.
Ninetales quickly formed a glittering orb of green energy in front of its mouth, before sending a glittering green beam at Pawniard, who was hit with no time to dodge or deflect, as the Solar Beam from Ninetales send Pawniard flying back to Ash, slightly bruised from the impact.
"Are you alright, Pawniard?" Ash asked in concern, with Pawniard nodding his head.
Ash soon lifted his head to survey the field, as the sun from the stadium soon faded from the sky, indicating that the sunlight from Ninetales' Drought is no longer in effect, as Kabu take out a Poke Ball from his pocket before recalling Ninetales back into its Poke Ball.
After recalling Ninetales, Kabu soon took out a second Poke Ball from his pocket before tossing it into the field, to call out his Salazzle, as the Toxic Lizard Pokémon gave Pawniard a malicious smirk, as Ash did the same by recalling Pawniard back into his Poke Ball.
"Metang, go forth!" Ash called out, calling out his newest capture.
As Ash's third Poke Ball burst open to reveal the Iron Claw Pokémon who's colour was different form a normal Metang, the Steel and Psychic Type Pokémon, quickly focused its attention on Salazzle, who was squatting on the floor, getting ready to face her foe in battle.
"Toxic, go!" Kabu commanded.
Salazzle quickly created a glob of purple energy in front of her mouth, before firing off the attack at Metang, who was still floating in the air, as Ash threw his fist out, to give Metang a command.
"Gyro Ball and spin!" He instructed.
Metang quickly slammed its fists together, before forging a ball of silver light around its hands, as the Iron Claw Pokémon spun its body in a circle, effectively dispersing Salazzle's Toxic attack, right as the Iron Claw Pokémon stopped, shocking Salazzle and her Trainer at the display made by Metang.
Needless to say, the audience themselves too were shocked as Marnie who at the front row seat, gaped her mouth open at the sight of how Ash had used Metang's Gyro Ball to form a defensive wall against Salazzle's Toxic.
"Now, Bullet Punch!" The amnesiac Trainer commanded.
Upon hearing Ash's command, Metang quickly flew at Salazzle with immense speed, with its fist raised to strike the Toxic Lizard Pokémon, as Kabu quickly waved his hand to the side.
"Use Poison Tail and guard it!" He ordered in haste.
As Salazzle's tail started to glow in a purple light, but before the Toxic Lizard Pokémon could use her attack to guard against Metang's Bullet Punch, the Iron Claw Pokémon quickly slammed its fist underneath Salazzle's chin, sending her flying back to Kabu, as she landed on the ground, staggering from the impact given to her.
"Flamethrower!" Kabu roared out in order.
Upon receiving her next command, Salazzle quickly spew out a torrent of hot flame at Metang, who stood ready for Ash's command, as the amnesiac Trainer clenched his fist before looking at the Iron Claw Pokémon.
"Psychic, go!" He commanded.
Metang's eyes quickly shine in a blue light, before ceasing Salazzle's Flamethrower in its tracks by shrouding it in a blue light, right as the Steel and Psychic Type Pokémon redirected the Fire Type attack back at Salazzle at high speed.
"Poison Tail!" Kabu commanded.
Salazzle's tail quickly turned purple as she swung it at the redirected attack, splitting it apart with a single strike, before jumping back to Kabu's side of the field, to survey her opponent's next course of action, right as Kabu took out a Poke Ball from his pocket before aiming it at Salazzle.
"Salazzle, retu-" While Kabu was in the middle of returning his Pokémon, Ash quickly wave his hand with a grin.
"Pursuit, let's go!" He instructed, shocking Kabu at his command.
As a beam of red light shot out from Kabu's Poke Ball at Salazzle, the Iron Claw Pokémon's body was soon shrouded in a black veil, as it charged towards the recalling Salazzle, before slamming its hand into her abdomen, breaking apart the recalling process, while making Salazzle rile back in pain, as the Steel and Psychic Type soon send her back to Kabu.
The moment Salazzle hit the floor, the Toxic Lizard Pokémon was no longer able to stand on her own two feet, with swirls replacing her eyes, as the Rotom Drone raised its hand in Ash's direction.
"Salazzle is unable to battle!" It declared, signalling Salazzle's defeat.
The whole crowd was in frenzy at the display of skills displayed before them, as Kabu chuckled while recalling Salazzle back into her Poke Ball, as Ash did the same for Metang, as the both of them soon kept their Poke Ball into their respective pockets.
"I did not expect you to use Pursuit, Reil, and I must say that really caught me off-guard." Kabu told the young Trainer, who in turn chuckled.
"It was tough waiting for you to make an attempt to exchange, Mr. Kabu, I almost thought you weren't going to." Ash responded, while taking out another Poke Ball.
"Very patient, you changed a lot since the last time we fought, Reil." Kabu complimented.
"Well, sometimes one's thinking has to change if they want to move forward, therefore I'm going to give everything I have in this battle!" Ash responded, while throwing his Poke Ball.
His Poke Ball soon burst open to reveal his fourth Pokémon of choice, Corviknight, as the Raven Pokémon flew atop the field of battle, as Kabu took out another Poke Ball from his pocket, before enlarging it in his hand.
"I see, then I guess I'll put in more burning passion then last time!" He retorted, while throwing his Poke Ball.
The device soon burst open in a blue light, revealing his third Pokémon of choice, Centiskorch, as the Radiator Pokémon stood on its side of the field, getting ready for its second combat against Corviknight as both Pokémon stared at one another with determination.
"I know we lost last time, Corviknight, but we're not going to lose this time." Ash told the Raven Pokémon, while recalling him into his Poke Ball.
"So let's set this battle off, with a large bang!" He added, while flicking out his right hand.
Exposing the bottom of his Dynamax Band with his Poke Ball on hand, particles of light soon shot out from his Dynamax Band before injecting themselves into Corviknight's Poke Ball, enlarging it to twice the size and eventually three times the size, as Ash soon tossed the gigantic Poke Ball into the sky, as it erupted in a flash of bright light, with the silhouette of Corviknight in his Gigantamax Form, growing in size with purple clouds zooming across the stadium as the Gigantamax Raven Pokémon burst out of the growing light getting ready for his battle.
"Very well, then let's see which one of us has the fieriest heart, and the hottest passion!" Kabu responded, while recalling Centiskorch into its Poke Ball.
After doing so, Kabu soon exposed the bottom of his Dynamax Band to the Poke Ball in his hand, as particles of light zoomed out of his Dynamax Band before injecting themselves into Centiskorch's Poke Ball, enlarging it to twice the size and soon three times larger with Kabu clutching onto the gigantic Poke Ball in his hands before tossing it into the field to join Corviknight, Centiskorch's Poke Ball soon erupted into a flash of bright light as the silhouette of the Radiator Pokémon soon grew large in size, becoming gigantic in both height and length, as the Gigantamax Radiator Pokémon burst out of the light, to reveal itself in its Gigantamax Form.
Both Gigantamax Pokémon soon glanced at each other, as did their Trainers, that was until Kabu raised his hand into the sky, in order to give Centiskorch its first command to follow.
"Max Flutterby!" He ordered.
Centiskorch quickly created multiple glowing green orbs, before firing of beams filled with butterflies at Corviknight, who stood ready to receive Centiskorch's attack, as Ash waved his hand to the side in order to issue a command to his Gigantamax Pokémon.
"Use G-Max Wind Rage in front of yourself!" He commanded.
Obeying his Trainer's command, Corviknight soon flapped his wings, sending a giant tornado in the center of the field, where it collided with Centiskorch's Max Move, effectively cancelling each other out, right as Corviknight decided to send its Bird Blades at the Radiator Pokémon, having not end his onslaught of G-Max Move.
"Use Max Guard!" Kabu instructed.
Centiskorch quickly set up a large blue barrier filled with pentagons, as Corviknight's attack crashed directly into its Max Guard, crashing into one by one with each flying back and forth, before returning to Corviknight after delivering a certain amount of hits.
"Max Steelspike!" Ash ordered, giving off his command for his second Max Move.
One of Corviknight's Bird Blade soon slammed itself into the ground, creating multiple spikes made of steel, as they quickly made their way to Centiskorch, who recoiled in pain as the ineffective Max Move crashed into its body, as it slowly slithered back to Kabu, as both Pokémon glanced at one another, knowing that their Dynamax energy would not last long.
"Use G-Max Centiferno!" Kabu roared out.
"You use your own G-Max Move too, Corviknight!" Ash yelled out.
Centiskorch quickly coiled itself up before creating a large fireball in front of its own body, meanwhile Corviknight flew into the air before flapping his wings, creating a giant hurricane which slowly made its way towards Centiskorch, who fired off its own G-Max Move after finally producing enough heat as the two attack clashed with one another in the center of the field, creating a giant flaming hurricane, as the force of the attack blew pass both Ash and Kabu, forcing them to cover their eyes.
As the two G-Max Move continued to clash, several of Corviknight's Blade Bird soon burst out from the burning hurricane at Centiskorch, before slamming themselves into its body one by one, bringing damage to the defenseless Radiator Pokémon, who groaned loudly in pain with each hit, as the hurricane soon made its way towards the Fire and Bug Type, which resulted in a large explosion.
As the aftermath of the attack blast through the entire stadium, the resulting smoke made by both G-Max Move soon made their way to the stands before being barricaded by a mysterious barrier, as both Ash and Kabu waited anxiously for the result to appear, as a shining light can be seen in the smoke, with the source of light shrinking in size, before finally revealing the result of the Dynamax battle to both Trainers.
As the two looked on, Kabu's Centiskorch can be seen lying on the ground, unconscious and defeated, as Corviknight too shrink back down into his normal size, as the Rotom Drone raised its hand at Ash's direction of the field.
"Centiskorch is unable to battle!" It declared.
Kabu chuckled before recalling Centiskorch back into its Poke Ball, as he kept it into his pocket, before looking up to meet Ash in the eye, who too returned Corviknight back into his Poke Ball after a hard fought Dynamax battle.
"I must say, its impressive on how well you can now make use of your Corviknight's Gigantamax Form, Reil." Kabu complimented, taking out a third Poke Ball.
"Thanks, we happen to do some extensive research before coming here." Ash responded, making Kabu smile.
"But don't think this is over yet, I've still got two more Pokémon to use!" He retorted, before throwing his Poke Ball into the field.
As his Poke Ball burst open, Ninetales once again took its place on the battlefield as Kabu's Pokémon of choice, with a beam of sunlight radiating across the field, as Ash took out another Poke Ball from his pocket before aiming it at the field.
"Pawniard, go forth!" He called out.
Calling back out the Sharp Blade Pokémon from his Poke Ball, the Dark and Steel Type Pokémon quickly took up a battle stance, in order to engage the Fox Pokémon in combat.
"Use Flame Charge!" The Fire Type Gym Leader ordered.
Ninetales' body soon burst into flames as it charged at Pawniard with high speed, only for Ash to look at Pawniard before issuing his own command, with a wave of his hand.
"Iron Defense!" He commanded, having Pawniard take up a defensive approach.
Pawniard quickly guarded himself with his hands, while turning his entire body into steel, right as Ninetales crashed into his hardened body, forcing the Sharp Blade Pokémon backwards with each push, before Pawniard finally threw the Fox Pokémon back to Kabu, as it landed on the ground gracefully.
"Pawniard, now use Fury Cutter and hit the ground and don't stop!" Ash instructed, confusion the entire stadium of his plan.
Doing as he is told, Pawniard's blade soon took up a green glow before slamming it into the ground, leaving a small hole on the floor, before giving it a second blow which created another hole, but as Pawniard continued to do as he is told, the crowd got more and more confused at what Ash was planning, as they could only watch as Pawniard gave the floor consecutive blows one after another without stopping.
"I don't know what his planning, but don't let your guard down, use Flame Charge!" Kabu instructed.
Ninetales quickly surrounded itself in flames which was soon intensified by the sunlight that shines through the field, before charging straight at Pawniard with speed faster then before, with Ash grinning at the sight of the charging Fox Pokémon.
"Now, do it!" Ash yelled out to his Pokémon.
Hearing his signal, Pawniard quickly swung his right hand at Ninetales who crashed into his attack, only to be easily overpowered by the Dark and Steel Type, who sends the Fox Pokémon flying back to Kabu with single hit, as it crashed onto the floor, unconscious from the battle it was put through.
"Ninetales is unable to battle!" Rotom declared, signalling the defeat of Kabu's third Pokémon.
The crowd was bewildered by the sight of the battle, as they soon erupt in cheers, with Kabu keeping his third Pokémon back into its Poke Ball, as he took out a fourth one from his pocket before placing it on his forehead, as he looked at Ash from where he stood.
"I didn't think you'd be able to push me this far, Reil, truly." He started, as he enlarged the Poke Ball in his hand.
"You may be the first Trainer I used this Pokémon in my hand against, so, you better prepare yourself for what's going to hit you!" He yelled, before throwing the ball into the sky.
Kabu's Poke Ball soon burst open to reveal a humanoid chicken-like Pokémon, with flames bursting from its wrists and ankles, before dousing its own flames, as it stood ready for battle against its opponent, with Ash taking out his Rotom Phone to scan the Pokémon before him.
"Blaziken, the Blade Pokémon, Fire and Fighting Type. Blaziken is able produce from its wrist and ankle to provide extra combat power, as a Pokémon known for its martial arts skills, Blaziken is a very nimble Pokémon." Ash's Rotom Phone detailed out.
Ash soon kept his Rotom Phone into his pocket, before shifting his eyes back to Blaziken, who was Kabu's last Pokémon, with Pawniard taking up a battle stance, getting ready for his battle against an opponent of unknown strength.
"Blaze Kick!" Kabu commanded, raising his voice beyond its normal level.
Blaziken quickly disappeared from view before appearing above the stadium ground with its right leg blazing in flames, before diving down upon Pawniard who couldn't believe how fast his opponent was compared to himself.
"Iron Defense, quick!" Ash instructed.
Pawniard quickly harden his Pokémon with a shine of silver light, as Blaziken made contact with his body, and at the same time it didn't take Blaziken to easily overpower Pawniard's defensive form, before sending flying back to Ash's side of the field, with a single kick.
"Pawniard!" Ash called out in concern for his Pokémon.
All was futile as Pawniard was unable to get up from where he laid, falling unconscious immediately after receiving the super effective blow from the Blaze Pokémon, who landed in front of Kabu without any problem.
"Pawniard is unable to battle!" Rotom declared, signalling Blaziken's victory.
Ash was bewildered by Blaziken's speed, before recalling Pawniard back into his Poke Ball with a word of appreciation for his effort, before taking out a second Poke Ball from his pocket and enlarging it in his hand.
"Metang, go forth!" Ash called out.
Ash's Poke Ball soon burst open to reveal the Iron Claw Pokémon, as it took its spot on the field against Blaziken, who had previously knocked out Pawniard with ease with a single Blaze Kick, as the two Pokémon stood ready to face off against one another.
"Bullet Punch!" Ash instructed.
"Aerial Ace, go!" Kabu commanded with a roar.
Metang quickly charged at Blaziken with doubled speed, who in turn charged at the Iron Claw Pokémon with equivalent speed with its right hand glowing white, as both Pokémon slammed their attacks into each, resulting in a clash for power, as a small explosion rebounded both Pokémon back to their original positions.
"Psybeam!" Ash ordered, trying to keep up his onslaught.
"Aerial Ace, once more!" Kabu instructed.
As Metang fired a beam of multi-coloured light from between its arms at Blaziken, the Blaze Pokémon easily avoided the attack by leaping into the air with its hands and legs glowing in a white light as it charged down at Metang with impressive speed, catching the Steel and Psychic Type Pokémon slightly off-guard.
"Quick, use Bullet Punch!" Ash instructed.
Metang quickly prepared its fists for combat, but as soon as it threw its left hand out at Blaziken, who dodged the attack by leaping off its attacking hand, the Blaze Pokémon soon slammed its right knee into Metang's face, before punching the Steel and Psychic Type twice in the body, as it finally finished its attack by sending the Iron Claw Pokémon backwards with a powerful kick to the underbelly, as Metang crashed onto the ground hard.
"Metang!" Ash called out in concern, as Metang slowly got up.
"That Blaziken is too fast to fight head on, I'm going to need to slow it down if I want a chance to win, but how?" Ash thought to himself, before surveying the field.
While he is looking at the field for any possible way to slow Blaziken down, he soon noticed the hole left behind by Pawniard during his battle with Ninetales, before grinning with a plan in mind, as he looked at Metang.
"Use Bullet Punch on the ground!" Ash instructed, giving Metang a command to follow.
Metang immediately slammed both hands into the ground upon hearing Ash's command, as Kabu and his Blaziken looked on, with Metang smashing another five holes onto the stadium floor, before stopping completely.
"Use Blaze Kick!" Kabu instructed.
Blaziken quickly leaped into the air before surrounding both legs with fire, as it dive down towards Metang, who looked at its opponent, right as Ash waved his hand to give Metang a command to follow as well.
"Psychic and throw Blaziken away!" He ordered.
Metang's eyes soon turned blue as did Blaziken's body, and with no control over its own actions, Metang quickly tossed Blaziken towards a wall with all of its mental strength, only for the Blaze Pokémon to land on the wall before jumping off, receiving very little setbacks thanks to its perfect landing.
"Close Combat!" Kabu ordered, intending on finishing the battle.
Blaziken soon drew back its right leg, before closing the gap between Metang and itself within seconds, with speed even faster then before, before slamming a fist into Metang's chin, as it brought its right knee into Metang's underbelly, while delivering three hard blows from its fist to Metang's face, before finally sending the Iron Claw Pokémon flying back to its Trainer with a mighty kick.
Ash could only watch in shock as Metang crashed onto the floor with swirl for eyes, as Rotom flew to its direction to guarantee the results, before raising its hand at Kabu's direction.
"Metang is unable to battle!" It declared, loudly enough for the stadium to hear.
Ash soon recalled Metang back into its Poke Ball while giving it a word of thank, showing his appreciation for Metang's effort, before taking out a third Poke Ball from his pocket, leaving him with only Corviknight and Gallade.
"Corviknight, go forth!" Ash called out, tossing the ball into the field.
The Poke Ball soon burst open to reveal the Raven Pokémon, as Corviknight stared at Blaziken from where he stood, before taking flight into the air, giving himself the aerial advantage over his land opponent.
"Taking the battle into the air, are you now, Reil?" Kabu remarked, staring at Corviknight who was in the air.
"Unless your Blaziken can fly, it isn't going to be easy to beat us." Ash responded, having full confidence in Corviknight's ability.
Kabu merely smiled at Ash's reply before looking at Blaziken who nodded its head, as Kabu turned his attention back to Ash, who was waiting for Kabu to give Blaziken a command to follow.
"Then allow me to show you something special, Reil." He told the boy confusing Ash, as Kabu looked at Blaziken.
"Run up the wall and use Aerial Ace!" He commanded, with a loud scream.
Blaziken quickly ran up the wall behind itself with immense speed, charging from the bottom to the top within seconds, before kicking itself off with a glow of white light, as it slammed its body into Corviknight, dealing a bit of damage before hanging onto the wall once again.
"Is it just me or is Blaziken getting faster and faster?" Ash thought to himself, while observing his opponent.
"Blaze Kick!" Kabu commanded.
Blaziken's feet quickly erupted in flames, as it kicked itself off the wall, launching itself into the air, before diving down upon Corviknight who stood patiently waiting for Ash's command to counter their opponent's attack.
"Steel Wing!" He ordered.
Corviknight's wings soon glowed in a white light, as he swung his right wing at Blaziken, clashing their attacks together, before smacking the Blaze Pokémon with his other wing, sending the Fire and Fighting Type back to the ground.
"I'm sure you realised something by now, Reil, haven't you?" Kabu questioned, making Ash look up.
"About how your Blaziken is getting faster and faster? I've noticed for quite a while now, Mr. Kabu." Ash responded, making Kabu chuckle.
"My Blaziken's Ability is Speed Boost, which increase his speed with each performance." Kabu explained, making Ash gulp a little.
From Kabu's explanation, Blaziken's speed was just going to keep getting faster mad faster the longer they fight, as the amnesiac Trainer took out Corviknight's Poke Ball before aiming git it at the Raven Pokémon, recalling him back to his Poke Ball, before keeping it into his pocket.
"This is going to be a gamble, but let's do everything we can, Gallade." Ash mumbled, looking at his partner.
Gallade nodded his head before walking into the field in front of Blaziken, taking his place as Blaziken's next opponent, before getting into a battle stance, preparing himself for battle against the Blaze Pokémon.
"Aerial Ace!" Kabu instructed, giving Blaziken its command to follow.
"Brick Break, let's go!" Ash ordered, giving Gallade his own orders.
Both Pokémon's hand soon turned white as both the Blade and Blaze Pokémon charged at one another, before slamming their hands together, challenging each other to a contest of strength before separating from one another from the rebound of their attacks.
"Blaze Kick!" Kabu continued to give his commands.
Blaziken quickly leaped into the air before diving down upon Gallade who looked at the incoming Blaze Pokémon, before teleporting away from his position, making Blaziken slam its feet into the ground, as the Psychic and Fighting Type Pokémon appeared elsewhere behind the Fire and Fighting Type.
"Psycho Cut!" Ash instructed, waving his hand to the side.
Gallade's arm blade quickly extended with a glow of psychic energy, as he swung his blade at Blaziken, firing off two blades of psychic energy at the Blaze Pokémon, who leaped into the air to avoid the attack, as the super effective attack flew pass beneath its feet, as Ash locked eyes with Gallade.
"Quick, use Shadow Sneak!" He commanded, hoping not to give Blaziken any chance to recover.
After hearing Ash's command, Gallade quickly stretched his shadow beneath Blaziken who was still in the air, as a shadow figure rise from the ground behind the Blaze Pokémon before sending the Fire and Fighting Type to the side with a hard smack, with Blaziken hitting the ground hard, as it quickly recovered from being on the ground.
Needless to say, the crowd was going nuts at the heated battle between both Ash and Kabu, who's Pokémon were more or less evenly matched, despite the speed difference between most of Ash's Pokémon compared to Kabu's Blaziken.
"Now, use Close Combat!" Kabu roared out, raising his hand into the sky.
Blaziken quickly charged at Gallade, closing the gap between the Blade Pokémon and himself rather quickly and easily, before slamming its right hand into Gallade's abdomen, making him grunt in pain, as the Blaze Pokémon continued its assault by sending its elbow into Gallade's chest, sending the Blade Pokémon back to Ash's side of the field.
"Are you alright, Gallade?" Ash asked in concern, with Gallade nodding his head.
As he watch Blaziken take back its battle stance, Ash was looking around the field for any possible way to beat the Blaze Pokémon, knowing that it is impossible to beat it using speed as its speed was already unmatched at this point.
"I need to use its speed against itself somehow, but how?" Ash muttered to himself, before noticing the holes on the ground.
As he looked at the small holes he told Metang to leave behind, as well as the moderate size hole made by Pawniard during his battle with Ninetales, Ash quickly gained an idea in his head before looking at Gallade.
"I have a plan, do you think you can keep going?" He asked, as the Blade Pokémon chuckled.
"As long as our chances of winning is higher, I'll last as long as you need me to." Gallade responded, having full faith in Ash's strategy.
Receiving Gallade's trust and permission, Ash was now cycling his plan in his head as he looked at Kabu and his Blaziken from his side of the field, waiting for his opponent to make a move.
"Aerial Ace, go!" Kabu instructed.
Blaziken's hands and legs soon glowed in a white light, as it charged at Gallade who stood there waiting for Ash's command, with Blaziken drawing closer with each given seconds, until Ash waved his hand.
"Teleport" He ordered.
At the last minute before Blaziken could touch the Blade Pokémon, Gallade quickly teleported away from his spot, making Blaziken miss its attack by an hair inch, as it watch Gallade appear elsewhere on the field behind it, as Kabu waved his hand.
"Assurance!" He yelled out, making Ash grin a little.
As if with speed that is impossible to catch, Blaziken quickly turned around before slamming its palm into Gallade's chest hard, sending the Blade Pokémon backwards, as the Psychic and Fighting Type Pokémon's soon burst out a large amount of orange energy, with the blades on his arm extending out to its maximum length.
"Now, finish it with Psycho Cut!" Ash yelled out, hoping to end the battle.
"Jump backwards and dodge it!" Kabu commanded.
As Gallade's blades glowed in a purple light, mixing in its energy with its amplified power, Blaziken quickly leaped backwards hoping to avoid Gallade's attack, and much to Kabu's dismay and Ash's joy, Blaziken accidentally tripped over a small hole behind itself, as the Blaze Pokémon quickly lost its balance, as Gallade charged at the Fire and Fighting Type.
With a mighty swing of his blade, Gallade immediately slammed his right blade into the Blaze Pokémon's abdomen, sending the topping Fire and Fighting Type back to its Trainer, as the Blade Pokémon hit rolled back to Kabu's side of the field, before becoming motionless.
Seeing the sight of the unmoving Pokémon, Rotom quickly flew down to check on the fallen Pokémon, before raising its hand at Ash's direction, while looking at the front.
"Blaziken is unable to battle, Gallade wins! With no more Pokémon available for battle, the winner for this Gym Battle, is Challenger Reil!" Rotom announced, declaring Ash's victory.
"WE WON!" Ash cheered loudly, as the whole crowd burst out in cheers.
Gallade's blade quickly returned to its original length, as Ash ran over to his partner who slumped into his arms, exhausted from his battle with the Blaze Pokémon, as Kabu walked over to them with Blaziken hanging over his shoulders.
"That was an excellent battle, Reil, you truly did amazed me." Kabu complimented, while putting out his hand.
"Thanks, but the efforts still lies with my Pokémon, after all, they're the ones doing the fighting and giving me their trust." Ash responded, shaking Kabu's hand.
The crowd were bewildered by both the battle and sportsmanship between both Trainers as they're cheers got even louder, and safe to say, Marnie who was in the stands was stunned by Ash's unique way of battling, before clenching her fist, with Morpeko looking at its Trainer.
"We've just got ourselves another rival, that means we gotta work harder." She mumbled, before looking back at the field.
Ash and Kabu soon stopped their handshake as the Fire Type Gym Leader took out a golden piece with a fire symbol from his pocket, before presenting it to Ash by holding out his palm for the young boy to see the badge in his hand.
"This is the Fire Badge, it is proof that you have overcame your third Gym Battle, Reil." Kabu said in a congratulating tone, as Ash took the piece from his hand.
"Thanks, Mr. Kabu, and today's battle made me realise that I still got a long way to go." Ash told the Gym Leader, while putting the Fire Badge within the ring alongside his Grass and Water Badge.
"I'm sure one day you'll teach the peak within Galar, and when that day comes, I hope we can have another fiery battle." Kabu told the boy with absolute certainty, making Ash smile.
"I can't wait for our rematch either, Mr. Kabu, and I promise that when that happens, you'll be the first I battle." Ash responded, making Kabu laugh loudly.
Ash and Kabu soon walked their separate ways, while bringing their exhausted Pokémon out of the stadium, back through the tunnel where they first came from, as the crowd slowly dispersed from the seats, leaving it completely empty soon after.
It didn't take long for Ash to change back into his usual outfit, as he walked into the lobby within the stadium of Motostoke, while gazing at the Fire Badge he had just won, as Gallade walked up right next to him.
"That's three down, and five more to go, right?" He asked, making Ash nod his head.
"And something tells me, it's just going to get tougher and tougher from here on out." He responded.
As Ash kept the ring which held his badges back into his pocket, both Ash and Gallade soon walked out of the stadium's door, setting their sights on the next Gym in order to win their next badge, only to see Kabu standing outside the door, with Milo and Nessa by his side.
"What are you guys doing all the way out here, Mr. Milo, Nessa?" Ash asked in shock, making Milo laugh.
"We're here to congratulate you on your victory in Motostoke." He started, as Nessa chuckled softly.
"And we're also here to see you off to your next Gym Battle." She finished.
Needless to say, Ash was quite stunned as the two of them would run all the way to Motostoke just to congratulate him on his victory over Kabu, as the Fire Type Gym Leader, stood up straight while giving Ash a determine smile.
"Your next Gym Battle will be at Stow-to-Side, which can be access by travelling through Hammerlocke." He told the young boy, as Nessa took her turn to speak.
"Your challenge is just only to get rougher from here on out, Allister might be young, but his strength is nearly second to none." She added, as Milo nodded his head.
"While Allister is plenty strong and powerful, I'm sure you'll be fine." He told the young man.
"Thank you for coming all the way to congratulate me, then until we meet again when I finish all eight challenges." Ash said in a thankful tone, before running towards the lift.
Kabu, Nessa and Milo watched as the lift brought Ash down to the lower segment of Motostoke, before watching the boy run towards the entrance of Motostoke with his Gallade, as the young man ran down the stairs and eventually out of view, as the three of them chuckled softly before dispersing in their own individual directions.
That's it for Chapter 11! Sure is a long write! Ash has won his third Gym Badge and will now be heading towards his fourth Gym Challenge!
