Black pavement, thick painted white horizontal lines stretch out into a path leading to the other side of a well known path. Dong Kyung stood at the crosswalk, waiting for the green person symbol to light up, puzzling over the events that morning while talking to her friend. Holding her cell phone, watches as an enormous city bus drives past, an advertisement plastered on the side, "New York Times Selected Masterpiece to Know About Before You Die, Lowell's Doom, Come," bubbles float up in the air from a nearby little boy who has been happily blowing them. Glancing across the street, her eyes lock onto Myeol Mang, who firmly stands on the opposite side waiting.

A chime sounds indicating for people to cross safely, a steady beeping continues, bubbles float, shimmering in the warm air, Dong Kyung steps off the curb, one slow stride forward, towards her doomed life. Looking inward, thinks only that she can't fear what is unable to be seen. Her steps falter, as a sudden sharp pain erupts inside her brain, causing her to sink down, drops her phone. Everything appears clear as she sees a semi truck heading full speed, a negligent driver looks down, and will miss stopping in time. Briefest moments flash, Dong Kyung wonders who is making such a joke out of her life. Heart pounding, closes her eyes, waits for the end. Briefest seconds, realization dawns and opening her eyes, looks around at a frozen scene, people rooted all around on the sidewalk, cars stopped in place, even Myeol Mang looked frozen in this unreal scenery.

Suddenly, as if woken from a dream, steps off the curb, purposefully strides towards Dong Kyung sitting on the street. He reaches out a hand, palm upward for her to take hold, telling her that, "God is on my side. Will you choose to die here or take my hand?" Myeol Mang's deep set dark eyes bore into her soft ones, daring her to defy common sense. She hesitates, not automatically grabbing his hand, inquires, "The answer to that is…." Gazing down into her eyes, he simply states, "It's me." Surprisingly, Dong Kyung still hesitates in placing her hand in Myeol Mang's outstretched hand, continues pondering. He stares, part of him desires to grab her hand, but this must be her choice. Ever so slowly, her fingers rise, slowly touching his fingertips. Once he feels the briefest touch, he encloses her fingers in his hand tightly. Breathing easier, not realizing his heart had stopped, fearful, she is a brave one, this beautiful young woman. Firmly holding her hand, helps her rise, walks towards their original destination as all the people, cars, and objects around them rewind in time, forgetting what just transpired. Myeol Mang turns toward Dong Kyung, "Don't let go of my hand, unless you want to die right now." Glancing up at him, she merely nods, and notices that he tightens his grip on her hand.

Sitting in a café the pair further debate over Myeol Mang's identity. He stands, ready to leave, only stops by Dong Kyung tug at his hand that she has held this entire time. Clearing her throat, he shakes his head, "You didn't want to hold my hand and now you won't let go." She looks up at him, "You said not to let go…" He gently uses his other hand to gently grip around her wrist, lets go of her hand, a red ribbon appears. She gazes confusedly up, "What is this?" He watches as she fingers the ribbon, he says, "My promise, since I told you it wouldn't hurt. But it will need to recharge once a day before midnight." She continues to stare at the ribbon, barely glances up at his tall frame, "How will you charge it?" He smirks, "By holding my hand." That comment certainly caught her attention! At those words, her head flew up, gasped, "What? Why?" He grinned, a small dimple appears in a cheek, "To keep you from running away. Tak Dong Kyung think of a wish." He turns around, walks out the café door, smiles, thinking how much he likes this feisty young woman. On her part, she stares at his parting back, puzzled again, yells, "Hey, how do you know my name?"

Little God sits on her bed, gazes out the hospital window, beautiful blue sky, bright sun, thinking of all her creatures, great and small. Smiling, suspects her visitor will arrive soon, he assumes she is unaware of his actions, but as God she knows all. He is created for good, and only time can show his path in life, God smiles.
