The bartender finally decided to come out from behind the counter to observe the mess that had happened in his bar. That boy had definitely made a clean sweep of those 5 men who had dared to mock him for the fact that he had only drank a non-alcoholic drink; the young man had objected that at only 17 he couldn't afford to drink, but they insisted until one of them made the mistake of wanting to take his glasses off.
A few moments later they found themselves one after the other lying on the ground, passed out after that brunette had knocked them out.
The owner of the bar approached those poor unfortunates, his eyes widening as he noticed the symbol of the Whitebeard Pirates on some of their wrists.
Oh... that little boy will soon find himself in trouble...
In the meantime...
"Sengoku-sama", Agent Wasp's shrill and annoying voice rang through the phone line, "What a pleasure to hear your voice. What can I do for you?", his tone should have been respectful, but it could be heard from a mile away the very clear lying note in his voice.
"Where are you Wasp?", Sengoku immediately inquired, not bothering to hide his disappointment and frustration.
"On a fantastic summer island called Ichigo," was the other's reply, "I am on my way to gather intelligence for the Government, as you ordered, Grand Admiral."
"You were also ordered to be here TODAY. Why haven't you shown up yet?"
There was a slight pause, then the boy's voice returned, and this time he felt that he was struggling to maintain an almost serious tone: "The meeting was today? Oh no, it must have slipped my mind~".
They didn't need to see Sengoku's face to imagine the vein that had most likely sprouted on his temple, throbbing with anger. "Stop being funny Wasp and come here immediately! That's an order!"
A slight crackle came from the line, before a gunshot caught everyone by surprise, present and not.
"Forgive me Grand Admiral, but I'm afraid I have to leave. I'll send you the first reports on the Fleet of Seven soon. And I think I'll start with Amazon Lily~". Anyone who was still listening was quite surprised by the calmness of the boy's voice, as if he hadn't even noticed that someone had fired a shot that seemed really close...
There was more crackling and gunshots combined with men shouting, after which the line fell completely.
...
...
- Sir we have lost the signal -. The operator with light brown hair and large dark eyes turned towards her boss, a look of disappointment on her young face.
On the other side of the room, the man who still had the spy microphone with which they had listened to that conversation let out a light sigh: - It doesn't matter. Now we know where our goal will head... -.
- Should we prepare to leave immediately? - the woman asked, but in response she received only silence.
The man stared at the small microphone he still had in his fingers, turning it between them as he thought back to the conversation he had just heard; something didn't add up to him, especially how Sengoku had ordered Wasp to show up at that meeting. Ichigo Island was at least a five-week sail away from World Government Headquarters, so how could the agent get there immediately?
Was there something strange going on or had Sengoku simply used the wrong words?
- Commander? Hey Commander! -, the colleague's voice sounded shrill and very close to his ear and what was his surprise and embarrassment in finding her face a few centimeters from his, while his eyes involuntarily fell on the abundant neckline of her young; when he realized this he was quick to get up from his chair, his cheeks red with embarrassment.
- I'll go and consult with the Chief, then we'll talk about it again -, and he disappeared out of the room, under the slightly confused gaze of the young woman.
