Tak Dong Kyung climbs the stairs to her rooftop apartment, struggles finding her apartment key in an oversized black purse. She spots Myeol Mang standing by the railing, his broad back turned away, gazing briefly, teases, "I had to work late because of you. Thank you." Turning around, he intently gazes, nervously she asks, "Hey why do you keep looking at me?" He says in a serious, monotone, "You said you remember me, right? I also remember you." Surprised, stares into his dark eyes, curious as to why he is suddenly admitting this small truth.

Standing apart, tells her, "Everyone was crying, but a little girl was smiling. So I remember because it was sad." Puzzled by his cold words, she says, "It was sad?" He continues to maintain a stoic look, never betraying any underlying emotions, says, "I don't know when and how this was all planned…" She stares confusedly as his words are spoken, not fully understanding, "What are you suddenly saying…" He continues, "But it all doesn't matter. I don't plan on making you smile." She looks worried by his sudden change in demeanor, gone is his joking, teasing, rather a more cold, distant self. She attempts a smile, says, "Hey why are you suddenly like this…is it because I made fun of you for crying? If you were offended, I am sorry." At these words, she hopes that he will accept her sincerity and lighten his spirit. He seems so dark, dreary and cold hearted, not like the man she has come to accept into her life and home. His next words and actions left a chill in the air, that perhaps would take some more time to heal the wounds opened because of cruel actions and words. Sometimes love can only be born out of hate.
